WHERE ARE THESE RESORTS?The resort is on a tropical secluded bay near Ocho Rios on the North Coast. Port Antonio has a great harbour and Errol Flyn's Navy Island, the Folly house and Blue Hole. This end of the island is unspoilt and has some of the most beautiful beaches and tropical areas in the Caribbean. Blue Beyond Villas and Sound of Sea Guesthouse are together on the same property but different owners, but we use the same Jamaican staff, Devon and Jennifer who do the driving and cooking.

Here is the 2 story living area----the owner Jimmy designed the house and has lived and worked in Jamaica since the 1970s. We have cable TV with CNN and movies for rainy days. A boom box for reggae. Rooms have fans, no need for air. |
Sound of Sea has B/B facilities and each room has a separate entrance and a balcony and view of the sea. There is a huge deck on the third floor. The house is perched 40 feet above the sea to catch the view and breeze. Always cool, no need for air conditioners. The outdoor shower on the way to the sea is refreshing. Yes, inside there is a hot shower. The beach below is secluded and there is a bamboo raft for paddling around and going snorkling. Excellent corals and even harmless nurse sharks if you know where to look. |
