chilly enough in the winter for a fire. This hillside place is off the mainroad and the locals are great folks, even an "obeah" woman who is more than spiritual. Have a drink in a local bar and play some dominoes.
This little village is a four hour trip from the resort and passes thru some great scenery. Take a hike up the road in front of the houses and get into a pine forest. Not a hike for beginners, good 2 hours. If you are adventuresome trek across some of the hills. You can't get too lost, the locals will know where you are from.
