Well you have gotten a brief idea of what a visit could be like. You can design and then change or let the trip just evolve. Some people end up just spending quite a few days just relaxing hanging out in the resort--sunning, drinking, swimmin and whatever. An average cost per person for a week is about US$200 not including air fare or personal expenses.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------room US$50, airport roundtrip US$50, van rental US$50, (day trips) and food US$50.
COSTS are shared
- 1) Van/car rental. The cost from the airport in Montego Bay is US$100 divided amongst passengers. It is a trip across the whole North Coast of the island.3 hours WOW!
- 2) Rooms----Blue Beyond US$200 per week. 2 bedroom villa holds 4 people.
- 3) Sound of Sea B/B Same US$200 per week for 4 people. It has 3 bedrooms so could take 6 guests, so would be $300 per week including breakfasts.
- 4) Cooked meals. Jennifer can cook local dishes and they are super. You pay for food and she cooks a meal for JA$200 per meal. US($4) You buy the food. PS--lobster is about US$5 per pound and big fish two bucks a pound. Fresh from the sea!! Ask Jennifer about local dishes.
- 5) Tours-----you can plan your own itinerary. The van holds 6 and is US$100 per day, but you can organize half day tours too.
