It has just has been the night of a dream. Sarge new you were the one, the only one for her.But the team has more important things to do, there is the 20th century you need to get back to. An Hel an Voice are the only ones to save you an the rest of the rebellion. Sarge is the one you don’t want to leave, she was the one who brought this amazing power you now sustain. DESERT ROSE
After Sarge past out in a soft sleep, you still felt more energy, so you gently kissed her lips and got out of the bed. You put all your clothes on then begin to do some running around the lab. Then later you were in the bedroom doing sit-ups you turn, and you start on your push ups when Sarge wakes from her deep slumber she looks at you, and a smile graced her face for you. "Up before me, why didn't you wake me." You look up after another push up, you lay and roll onto your back. "Well I am too energized. Besides I needed the work out. I'm sorry I didn't wake you but you look so peaceful." Sarge gets up then sits n the floor next to you. Then you sit up out of breath with the sweat dripping off you hair she looks so softly into your eyes. "Your leaving today, if we locate the portal agin." You look at her then she looks away with a few tears in her eyes. "Come with me you can be doing more good in the past than here." Sarge looks at you, both of you knowing there are no way she can leave Hel or Cleo."No, I can't leave my team mates," you take her hand and softly kiss it then say "I know. And the 20th century needs me. "You both look away then Sarge hugs you tightly with a teary voice and say's "I don't want to lose you Angel." With a tight grip an a kiss on her lips you softly reply"You will never lose me. You will all ways be in my heart I promise you." She lingered in your arms touching your lips with her fingertips. Closing your eyes, your forehead lays against hers. You held each other for a while when Hel Knocks on the door and say's "Angel we have the transmission the portal won't stay open long we need to go." You both get up an Sarge move to get her clothes as you move to the door you hold breaks, a silent pause between you and Sarge as your hold to each others arm. Until slowly your arms begin to slowly let go, you close your eyes then walk through the door way, of the hologram door to the room.
As you walk out Sarge turns and sitting on her bed an tries to hold back the sharp gut wrenching pain in her stomach. Looking up at the ceiling holding tears back, you look at Hel then with another sharp pain you felt in your head. You saw Hel dying in Sarge's arms the overwhelming love Sarge felt for Hel as well. Hel say's "What? Another vision" You look at her and say, "Yeah, Uh. Hel no one can come with me I have to go alone. When I am gone, we will lose voice communication." Hel nodes her head then gives you ammo and a laser gun. Cleo looks at me and say's"Do you have to go you're the only other person here from the 20th century." You laugh as you hug her then say "It will be ok little one you won't ever be alone. Trust me there is one bright future for you. Just stick with what you know you will see this right to the end. Maybe one day I will be back." Sarge walks in then looks at you hugging Cleo saying the kind words that you even hoped to be true. "I hope you do come back", looking over you shoulder you seen the love of many life times. With such a tentative voice, you looked into her eyes, and projected a thought back into Sarge's mind. "Sarge, I love you. I will love you ‘til I die. But you have a love here, I can never replace. My fate is decided yours is not. And please don't let Hel follow me whatever you may do. Know this. You are the hope of this team succeeding." You turn to launch your web launcher as you begin to leave when a thought ran through you head "I love you Angel,"
Hel has the coordinates inside your gauntlet, you listen as Hel guides you through the corridors.
Sarge walks away, she goes to her room as she sits on the bed, Cleo noticed her distress friend, looking puzzled she fallows behind her. Sarge Closed her eyes' an let tears fall from her eyes when Cleo say's, "Sarge I know she was like a mentor to you. But she will be all right at least, you got meet your teacher." Sarge looks at her then say's"Cleo you have no ideal who just walked into our lives. She was the Angelic Protector, but she was the destined one to fight the bailey's. I have always taken pride in becoming someone like her. When in turn I realized it was me who I admired but it was the person Angel was that I loved." Cleo looked at her in surprise then say's "No way you guys, last night, here, what about Hel?" Sarge looked at her confusingly then say's "Me an Hel have too many disagreements she hates my taste." Cleo sat beside her then say"But I thought under all the exterior you guys were the thing, couples, or love child." Sarge closed her eyes agin an say's "No, never. Hel never wanted it"
Suddenly in a blaring voice Hel say's "ANGEL! ANGEL! Respond." Sarge and Cleo make it out of the room. Seeing Hel in a distress with no answer from you, suddenly Sarge begins to worry. "What is Hel? What's wrong with Angel?" "Lost transmission when she came in contact with mutants on the level. No response, that's it I am going." Sarge remembers what you had told her, she realizes you knew that Hel would be in danger if she went. "No Angel said no one can go. Not even you." "We can't let our future die. If Angel dies so do we." Sarge grabs her arm Hel looks at her then say's"What are you going to stop me?" Sarge piers at her for a moment then she say's "No, but I will go with you." "Good, Cleo get your shit lets go." Walking away from the lab, they descend upwards to your location. They come in and seen a ton of mutants guarding the plasma portal.
Out of nowhere they see you shooting, flipping backwards toward them. Finally you stand in-between them then say "I told you not to come." Sarge looks at you, but you didn't even look in her direction. "Get out of here Now Helen!" "I don't take orders too good. You know that." Hel said as she looked into your eyes searching for the truth. You take cover with them and begin shooting. You jump up seeing Cleo in danger looking at Sarge you say"Cover Me Shorty."
"My pleasure babydoll," You smile Flip side ways in a 360 turn, guarding Cleo, as your shooting while helping her to cover with the others. Cleo say's "Thank you Angel," hugs you then Hel see's a mutant behind you then say's"OH the Hell you don't," You Scream "NOOOOOOOOOO!" Before you could turn out of Cleo's arm. Hel is shot in the chest, you begin letting you laser flare blast after blast as Sarge did the same. You drop to your knees as Sarge grabs for Hel, you look around then begin to take no mercy. Shooting like a madman you scream"MUTHER FUCKERS!" killing everything within 3 foot radius. Sarge held Helen close to her, after killing all the mutants. You ran over to her side. Seeing the blood pouring from Hel's lifeless body with the huge hole next to her heart.
"Why I told you to stay at the lab." With a faint voice Hel say's"I would have done anything to save the love of my love's life." She looked up at Sarge, and Hel gently touched her face. Then her body went lifeless. Sarge screamed out "NO HEL! Come back to me please, I can't do this alone." You took her away from Sarge, she watches as you turn holding Hel's lifeless body in your arms. Closing your eye's a power so great that wings came from your shoulders enveloping Hel in your embrace. Light so bright yet Sarge and Cleo could still see. Rising off the ground for what seemed more than a split second. An Angelic voice came from your cry, then you came down while the light fades. Letting her go, Hel then stands up healed from the Angelic embrace. Sarge ran to her grabbed her, as Cleo did the same. You look at them with tears in your eye's, then you run through the portal. Without a single word of a good-bye. Sarge sees the portal close before she could say"Thank you!" Hel took her hand and say's "Sarge, she knows. She said to tell you to be proud of your work and don't worry. You are loved."
Cleo looked at Hel and say's "That was totally the coolest thing on earth. What was it like?" Hel smiled and say's"It was like the angelic protection." Sarge held to her friend and lover. But her heart was still taken by your love for her. They leave and get back to the lab, Mauser looks at Sarge then say's "Sarge this was supposed to be given to you after this mission Voice said." Sarge takes the old wrapped up gift. Inside was an extensive manual of Angel's training techniques. With a small note that said, "Sarge, you are the real angelic protector. Without you there would have never been me. With all my love I hope to be with you agin someday. Love always, your Desert Rose. Love, Angel." A small tear falls from her eye. Hel tilts her head to the right then say's "We aren't finished yet ladies lets go." Sarge looked at the small journal. She placed it close to her heart and left. A glow from far away up the shafts disappears further into the light, as the head to a base sector seven level nine for a distress call.
