"Well, do you have an apple or something?"
"Why do you always have to be a health nut? How about some popcorn?"
"I don't think so. Do you have any fruit at all?"
"I have strawberries. Would his highness like anything to drink?"
"How about some red wine?"
"Coming right up."
Nik sat back and rolled his shoulders. Then he turned to look at her and smiled. Braids were escaping her bun and spilling down her back. She reached into the fridge to get some strawberries. Stretched to retrieve wine glasses. Then she walked toward him, sat down and poured them two drinks. He rolled his shoulders again.
"Something wrong with your back?"
"Just a little kink, that's all."
"Come here." She slid next him and took his wine glass. Then she got on her knees and crawled behind him. She placed her hands at the base of his neck, loosening his shirt for better access. She proceeded to knead his shoulders hard and thoroughly. Nik groaned in pleasure.
"What are these things? Rocks?"
"Hmmmm..."
"She went down his back in fluid motions, slowly easing his ache. Her touch then became softer and she started to feel his muscles beneath his shirt. A small sigh escaped her lips, as she leaned in closer to smell his hair.
Nik, who had his eyes closed, slowly opened them when he felt her hands run through his hair. Felt her breath on the back of his neck. He turned his head and found her gaze. They looked into each other's eyes. Leaned in closer.
Their lips met tentatively. Both of them exploring each's lips until the kiss gradually increased in intensity. They embraced and kissed until the fire between them threatened to consume them both. Nik pulled away. His eyes held hers with an intensity totally new to her. With a groan, he kissed her again, softly this time, kissing her cheeks, the tip of her nose, her eyelids. Nibbled on her earlobes. Kissed her behind her ears. He dragged his teeth across and down her neck, while grabbing her braids in two fists, which had long been released from it's bun.
"Gia..."
She grabbed his head and held him to her neck. She pushed him away from her. Holding his gaze, her hands moved to unbutton his shirt. His hand covered hers, catching her gaze.
"Gia, are you sure you want this?"
"What do you think? I've waited for this for a long time. Make love to me now."
"She didn't have to ask twice. He laid her down on the floor and went down on his knees, facing her. She watched as he unbuttoned his shirt and shrugged it off. Whew, baby, the man was gorgeous. His body was a mass of muscles and the lighting gave his skin a bronzed look. Her eyes followed her hands as she caressed his shoulders down to his waist. His stomach had a nice concave shape to it which tapered down to a narrow waist. His chest had a few fine hairs sprinkled here and there. Very nice.
His hand moved slowly toward the bottom of her t-shirt and pulled it over her head. There were no words to describe her except smooth, soft, and, if only for one night, his.
"Gia, I want you so much..."
"Show me..."
He did, repeatedly. That night, they made love tenderly and with abandon. He worshipped her body, while she prayed one thousand times that he wouldn't stop. When they reached the mountaintop, both hung there as long as they could before falling back to mother earth.
***** Later, they lay spooned together, both contemplating on the night's events.
"Where did that come from?" Gia asked while snuggling closer to him.
"I don't know. Any regrets?" Languidly, he rubbed his hand from the top curve of her shoulder down her arm to her wrist.
"Only one." His hand stopped. " That God would have granted my wish to be with you sooner."
He continued his caresses. "Amen to that." He kissed the back of her head and smiled. Funny how Gia could make him do that.
