Gia rereads the poem it seems for the hundredth time. Either not able to comprehend the meaning behind Nikolas’ love poem, or either trying to convince herself of something she is afraid of.
Loving Nikolas would not be as easy as love would make it seem. When you give up your heart, you give yourself; there is no control because the gift of love, your body… you… are presented to someone. In this case Gia has to realize that she is a gift given willingly to Nikolas.
“You’ve returned.”
“You’re still here.”
“Where would I go?”
“I’ve read your poem… I love it you know.”
“I meant every word --“
“-- I love you”, Gia states softly.
Nikolas is silent for a while. He walks towards Gia, gently cupping her face.
“And I love you.”
The kiss is simple. One could say sweet and warm. The embrace is cosmic in terms of the euphoria reached by two people willing to be each other’s finished words. Perfect complements to a language that needs no explanation of expression except for simple love words; you are mine, as I am yours.
“You do realize now I can never let you go.”
“Here comes the royal ego.”
“No I’m serious.”
“I know I know, please continue Prince Nikky.”
“Alright, since we’re on the subject of titles, I was hoping that yours would change.”
“Excuse me. Nikolas you’re not making any sense. I don’t even have a title.”
“You could… you will.”
“What?”
“I, Nikolas Cassadine, am asking that you, Gia Campbell, marry me.”
“Marry you?”
“Yes, will you marry me… please?”
“Nikolas –“
“—You said you love me. I love you. Nothing else matters. Not that we haven’t had the required amount of courting time, not what other people think. Gia nothing! All I know is that I need you like nothing else in my life. I will do whatever it takes to have you as my wife.”
“You may not feel this way six months from now.
Feelings change, people change.”
“I could never not want you.”
Nikolas takes Gia’s hand and leads her away from the main room. He takes her up the stairs of Wyndemere, silently promising what is to be from what was. Neither realizes at this moment where the other begins and where the other ends. The prince who shall be king has chosen his queen.
*****
Through a sea of color,
Golden honey falls around my fingers.
My lips, softly pressed close to yours, start delicately stirring.
*
Embrace of milky smooth, flushed warmth,
Mercurially wrapping around my body.
My stomach softly pressed close to yours, starts gently rocking.
*
Light wafts of moist, intoxicating wisps,
Borne of pleasure, deft vapors caress around my neck.
My legs, softly pressed close to yours, start sensually squeezing.
*
Touch of ambrosia in luxuriant form,
Tensed and relaxed, all within a building sensation.
My hands, softly pressed close to your body, start affectionately stroking.
*
Intermingled starlight and moonlight,
Writhing with grace, they dance.
Our bodies, softly pressed close together, are one.
*************************************
The two lay intertwined with no words spoken. What must be said when a simple satisfied sigh is ones loves words for ‘I love you’ and a caress is the reply, ‘And I you’.
When awake I dream about dreaming…
I want to be visited…
Because I traveled far…
To meet you.
