Deluxe: The
syndicated version is doing backflips. But the network version tanked
about
only two showings. Why? Who knows, but one thing is for sure, the show
had to go. And it did.
Alias: Critics
love it, viewers are not so fond. "Alias" is one of those shows
destined
to be a critic's darling,
but a ratings flop. True, much of it's low mark can be attributed to
"Millionaire"
airing in the slot last season, but the show is losing viewers from
it's
lead-in, and viewership sits at about two thirds of it's premiere. Then
again, the same was true of "The Practice" when it started.
Wolf Lake: A
laughable show to begin with, the only reason why "Wolf Lake" was not
the
worst performer was because CBS had a tonne of Wednesday problems last
season. The only question is, what will CBS replace this with? The net
has alot of hit shows, but not alot of moving room.
The Education of Max Bickford: Another
CBS flop, "The Education of Max Bickford" has a strong start, but
quickly faded into oblivion. How bad is it? CBS is trying out "Touched
By An Angel" in the slot once again. If that show does anything at all,
bye-bye "Max."
Undeclared: Fox
continues to call "Undeclared" a hit. But the number speak otherwise.
It
usually sheds 25% of "That 70s Show"s audience, it's down 20% from
"Titus"
last season, and it's off 35% from it's premiere. Fox has already given
it a full season, but with recent episodes fialing to break the 7
million
viewer mark, it will probably be shuffle off to some god-forsaken slot,
never to be watched again.
