JAG
(CBS,
Tuesday 8pm. Premieres September 24th)
What's
Happening: Do
Harmon and Mac get together? Probably not, but the show will keep
viewers
guessing.
Where It's
Been:
NBC kicked it to the curb after two low rated seasons. CBS picked
through
the trash and found a treasure. Despite a "Millionaire" induced downer,
ratings last season, in its sixth, came roaring back, into the top 20.
Now it whallops the competition, including NBC.
Last Season's
High: 18.3mil
(September 25, 2001)
Premiere
Prediction: 17.7mil
The Reason: CBS
has a really solid Tuesday slate, and "JAG" is the most solid of them
all.
The
Guardian
(CBS,
Tuesday 9pm. Premieres September 24th)
What's
Happening: Nick
does get off the murder charge, and he even starts dating. Too bad he
has
to run off to the bathroom every five minutes to snort coke.
Where It's
Been: A
breakout early last season, it took a hit opposite "NYPD Blue." But
things
didn't get too bad- it finished the season in the top 25.
Last Season's
High: 16.6mil
(September 25, 2001)
Premiere
Prediction: 16.1mil
The Reason: "Blue"s
out of the way, this show is young, and the star is hot (as the girls
say).
A winning combination.
Judging
Amy
(CBS,
Tuesday 10pm. Premieres October 1st)
What's
Happening: Get
ready for some child abduction cases! As if the real world isn't bad
enough.
But
Maxine
provides a lighter ntoe as she prepares for her wedding, and Amy even
starts
dating! But she has to be home by 10pm.
Where It's
Been:
A hit from the start, it's anchored the Tuesday at 10pm slot for CBS
for
3 seasons now. It's always ranked first or season. Last season saw an
upswing.
Last Season's
High:
17.2mil
(November 25. 2001)
Premiere
Prediction: 16.6mil
The
Reason: Will
win the slot. even with "Blue" back at 10pm, this is a solid, well
established
show.
