Winner: CBS's
Tuesday
line-up, once again. Why? It's not like "Judging Amy" is a top 10 show.
It's solid at 14th, but that's down 2% from last November. "The Guardian"
brought in some solid support at 9pm (29), though it took a beating
during
sweeps thanks to "NYPD Blue." The reason why we're giving it to CBS is
because of "JAG." In it's seventh season, it jumped to 12th spot, up
over
20% from last season.
Runner Up: The WB's line-up.
"Gilmore Girls"
(87) is up 54% from last season, beating "Buffy." And "Smallville" (84)
builds on that, making it the networks highest rated show.
Loser:
ABC. Things did get better in November when
"NYPD
Blue" (23) came in at 9pm. But that still doesn't hide the fact that
"Dharma
& Greg" and "Spin City" have plunged to 58th and 65th,
respectively,
in the ratings, off 30% and 37% from their own ratings and about 60%
from
what "Millionaire" did in the slot last season. And "Philly" didn't do
much at 10pm. At 46th, it lost a big chunk of its lead-in, even if it
was
up 17% from "Once & Again" last season.
Runner Up: NBC, for it's whole
8pm debacle.
"Three Sisters" was even a bigger loser than "Spin City," sitting in
70th.
