Charity runs out to the back yard crying with the bear Miguel give her in her hand.

Charity: (looking at the bear)”I hate you Miguel.” (throws the bear across the yard)”I can’t believe I 
thought you actually love me. Crew me for being so stupid.”(sits down on next to a tree and start balling)

Jessica walks out of the house to the back yard with a trash bag in her hand.

Charity notices Jessica and try to blink away the tears, but fails.

Jessica: (noticing Charity crying)”Charity?”(putting the bag in the trash can)”What wrong?”

Charity: (wiping the tears)”Nothing.”

Jessica: (not believing it)”It has to be something, if it wasn’t you wouldn’t be crying.”

Charity: “It’s all my fault.”

Jessica: (sitting next to her)”What is.”

Charity: “Miguel breaking up with me.”

Jessica: (shocked)”What?!”

Charity: “This morning.”

Jessica: “But why?”

Charity: “I don’t know, something about him being in love with another girl.”

Jessica: “Another girl?”

Charity: “Yes, I should have loved him more.”

Jessica: “Charity, what I saw between you two was some more then love.

Charity: (throwing her arms in the air)”I guess we were both wrong”

Jessica: ”Did he tell you who?”

Charity: ”No, he just said that it didn’t matter.”

Jessica: “I can’t believe this.”

Charity: “Your not the only one.”

Jessica: “What now?”

Charity: “I don’t know.” (pause)”I just have to get over him.”

Jessica: “Maybe it was just a laps, he’ll relapse again.”(pause)”I’m sure of it.”

Charity: “I don’t think so Jessica. The way he talked about this girl, he seemed very in loved.”

Jessica: “You don’t know that.”

Charity: “Yes I do.”(pause)”I saw it in his eyes.”

Jessica: (give her a hug)”I’m so sorry Charity.”

Charity start crying harder.

Kay sit at the kitchen table reading the newspaper, while Reese walks in with a backpack on his back.

Reese: “Hey Kay.”

Kay: (not looking up from the newspaper)”Hey Reese.”

Reese: ”What are you reading?”

Kay: (rolling her eyes)“The newspaper, Reese.”

Reese: “Oh yeah, duh.”(pause)”Is Charity ready.”

Kay: (finally looking up from the newspaper)”I don’t know. Last time I check she was in her room talking 
to Miguel.”

Reese: “Oh well the bus is going to be here in…”(looking at his watch)”five minutes.”

Kay: “She should be in her room, you should go and look.”

Reese: (fixing his glasses)”Oh Okay, I’ll do that.” (walks off)

Charity walks into the house and Kay notices her.

Kay: (putting the newspaper down)”Charity, Reese is looking for you…(noticing that she been 
crying)”What happen Charity?”

Jessica: (walking in behide Charity)”Like you don’t know.”

Kay: “No I don’t.”(looks at Charity)”What happen?”

Charity: “Miguel broke up with me.”

Kay: (shocked)”He did?”(standing up and walking towards her)”When?”

Charity: “Eariler this morning.”

Kay: “I’m sorry to hear that.”

Jessica: (annoyed)”I’m sure you are Kay.”

Kay: (rolls her eyes)”Jessica you know what…”

Reese: (cutting her off)”Hey Charity there you are.”(noticing everyone expressions)”What happen?”

Jessica: “Miguel broke up with Charity.”

Reese: “When?”

Jessica: “This monring.”

Reese:”I’m sorry to hear that Charity.”

Charity: “You guys don’t have to feel sorry for me okay.”

Reese: “I’m sure Miguel wasn’t thinking right this morning. I’ve read  that people sometimes, do things 
that they regret.”

Kay: (annoyed)“Yeah Reese, it’s called a mistake.

Reese:”No, I’ve read that they do thing with out thinking, they just do and say thing.Then after a while 
they finally realized what they’ve done. It has to do with how they sleep of something. That could have 
happened to Miguel.”(looking at Charity)”He coundn’t have meant it.”

Kay: ”Reese, you don’t know that.”

Jessica: “Kay how can you say that?”

Kay: “Jessica, Charity has to face the fact that Miguel broke up with her. You guys can’t keep giving her 
fasle hope like that.”

Charity: “Can you people stop talking about me, like I’m not here.”

Jessica: “Sorry.”

Reese: “So that means your not going camping.”

Charity: (sighs)”Yes I’m going Reese. I’m not going to break my plains of having fun, just cause Miguel 
decided to be in love with someone else.”

Kay: (surprised)”He said that?”

Charity nods.

Reese: “Did he tell you who?”

Kay looks at everyone like she was going to die, if Miguel told Charity it was her. Everyone would hate 
her for it.

Charity: “No.”

Kay smiles of relief.

Jessica: “Who can it be?”

Charity: “I don’t know and don’t care.”(sad tone)”I’ll just hope that she take care of him, for me.”

Jessica: “It well be okay Charity.”

Charity: (tear rolls down her cheek)”Yeah, I hope so.”

Jessica: (putting her arm around her)“Come on Charity, lets get your bags.”

Charity: “Okay.”

Jessica and Charity walk off.

Reese: (fixing his glasses)”Wow, I would never thought they would actaully break up.”(looking at 
Kay)”Right?”

Kay: (arms crossed)“Yeah-right.”

Reese leaves following Jessica and Charity.

Miguel playing breakball in his back yeard.

Luis: “Hey bro.”

Miguel: (shooting the ball)”Hey.”

Luis: “Want to play a game of B-ball?”

Miguel: (grabbing the ball and passing it to Luis)”Not really.”(grabbing his disgrade shirt from the 
floor)”But you can.”(walks off towards the front yard)

Miguel opens the gate and runs into Kay.

Kay: “I’m-sorry.”(wide eye with the site of Miguel with out his shirt on)

Miguel: ”It’s okay.” (putting on his shirt)

Kay: (snapping out of it)”I heard what happened.”

Miguel: (sighs)”I’m sure half the town already did.”

Kay: “I feel so bad.”

Miguel: “Why?”

Kay: “Cause it’s all my fault, telling you to break it off with her.”

Miguel: “It’s not your fault Kay. I’m the one who decide on this.”(pause)”How an I going to be with 
Charity when I know it’s a lie.”(pauses for a long moment)”When I know I’m not in love with her.”

Kay: (nodding)”Yeah.”

Miguel: “So how is she holding up?”

Kay: “Not so good Miguel.”

Miguel: (upset tone)”I didn’t want to hurt her Kay.”

Kay: “I know Miguel.”

Miguel: “I can’t stop myself from feeling like this.”

Kay grabs Miguel hand and pulls him to sit down on the front steps of his house.

Miguel: “Kay I want you to know that I’m in love with you.”

Kay: “You don’t have to tell me Miguel.”

Miguel: “Yes I do. I know the whole time I was with Charity it was tearing you up inside.

Kay: “It doesn’t matter Miguel, I just want you to be happy.”(pause)”Even if it’s you being with Charity.”

Miguel: (grabbing her hand and linking it with his)”It’s not.”

Kay: (a tear rolls down her cheek)”It’s not?”

Miguel: (brushes the tear)”I’m not going to lie and say I don’t have feelings for Charity, but it not the 
same feeling that I have for you. The bond we have together is something that many people don’t have in 
a life time.”

Kay: “Yeah.”

Miguel: ”I dear  to say, that we are soulmates.”(expression softens)” I mean it Kay, I’m so in love with 
you. And I can’t believe I spend so many years not showing you.”

Kay: (touching his cheek)“It’s okay Miguel, I understand.”

Miguel: “But I’ll show you Kay, one day, you’ll see.”(kisses her)

Charity sits next to the burning fire meanwhile Reese  comes from his tent and sits next to her.

Reese: ”A penny for your thoughts?”

Charity: (smiles)”It’s a nickel, Reese.”

Reese: (fixing his glasses)”Oh I knew that.”

Charity: “I’m sure you did.”

(soundless moment)

Reese: (breaking it)“So honestly Charity, who do you think the girl could be?”

Charity: (sighs)“I really don’t know, Reese.”

Reese: ”It’s easy to find out.”

Charity: ”And how is that?”

Reese: ”Just think of all the girls you seen Miguel hanging out with a lot lately.”

Charity looks out towards the trees and think hard who has Miguel been with lately? He been hanging 
around the Bennett house more them he did before, but he always hang out there. And the only two girls 
other then her that lived there was Kay, Jessica and sometimes Simone would come over to be with Kay. 
But Simone and Miguel were just friend and they didn’t really send that much time with each other only 
when Kay was around. And Jessica never spend time with Miguel just when the group was together. Now 
there Kay, Kay Bennett, will she, she was around him. But duh there best friends, why wouldn’t they be 
around each other. But they been hanging out a lot lately, with there studying together for math and stuff. 

Charity: (laughs)”The only girl that come to mind is Kay.”

Reese: ”My Kay.”

Charity: “But why would Kay be with Miguel, I mean she with you, right?”

Reese: ”Yeah, I think she is.”

Charity: “I couldn’t be Kay.”(sighs)”I’m really going to miss being with Miguel.”

Reese: ”I’m sorry Charity:”

Charity: ”It’s okay.”

Reese put his arms around Charity.

Kay stands in her room with her rode on going through her closet picking out a outfit to wear.
Miguel slowly walks into the room and walks be hide  her

Miguel: (into her ear)”Make sure it’s sexy.” 

Kay: (jumping)”Miguel!”

Miguel: (laughs)”You had to see the face you made.”

Kay: (sofly hitting him on the arm)”Well I’m happy that you got a kick out of scaring the living day lights 
out of me.”

Miguel: (putting his arms around her)”I’m sorry.”(kissing her down her neck as he brings her closer to 
him)

Kay: (smiling)”I forgive you.”

Miguel:”Good.”

Miguel moves his hands down to the opening of the rode and unties it.

Kay: (liking the feeling)”Miguel.”

Miguel: (still kissing her on the neck)”Uh huh?” 

Kay:”I have nothing on, under this.”

Miguel: (whispering)”I know.”

Jessica: (from down the hall)”Kay come on, we’re going to be late.” 

Kay and Miguel look at each other shock both jumping away from each other.

Jessica: (walkings in)”The movie starts…(shock with the site of Kay with her rode on and Miguel 
standing next to her)”Miguel what are you doing here?”

Kay:”What do you think Jessica? He here to come with us to the movies.”

Miguel: “Yea, I’m dying to see this movie.”

Jessica:”I meant as, why is he in your room, while you have your rode on?”

Kay: (looks down at herself)”What wrong with the?”

Jessica:”Will Miguel is a male and your a female so...”

Kay: “What are you trying to imply?”

Jessica:”Will if I didn’t know better…”

Kay: (cutting her off)”Jessica save it.”(looking at Miguel)”I called Miguel in here, to help me pick out a 
outfit to wear.”

Jessica: (not believing her)“Right.”

Kay: (giving Miguel a knowing look)”Rigth Miguel?”

Miguel: (nodding) “Yeah right, but I wasn’t any help.”

Kay: (smiles)”You helped.”

Jessica looks at both of them.

Miguel: (agreeing)“Right.”

Kay:”Okay.”

Miguel: “I’ll wait for you guys down stairs.”

Jessica: (waits for Miguel to leave)”Okay.”(turns to Kay)”Only because Miguel broke up with Charity, 
doesn’t mean you can throw yourself at him.”

Kay: (laughs)”Throw myself, please Jessica.”(pause)”What does it matter if I do or don’t, Miguel isn’t 
with Charity anymore. I can throw myself at him as much as I want.

Jessica:”It doesn’t give you the right.”

Kay: “Actually it does give me the right, he isn’t with someone.”

Jessica: “But he in love with someone else. And that someone isn’t you.”

Jessica storms out of the room.

Kay: (to herself) “Actually it is.”

Miguel, Kay, Simone and Jessica walk down the street away from the movies, towards the book cafe.

Jessica:”I can’t believe that movie.”

Simone:”Yeah I know, I have to say Scream 3 is on the top of the list for the best movie this year.”

Jessica: (looking at Miguel and Kay)”To bad you two missed it. I never knew that the line for popcorn 
could be that long.”

Simone laughs to herself.

Kay:”Yeah, I was surprised myself.”

Miguel: ”Kay and I will go see it another time.”(smiling at Kay)”Right?”

Kay:”Yep. At least we saw the previews.”

All four of them walk into the book café.

Miguel:”What do you guys want?”

Kay:”The same.”(looking at Jessica and Simone)”Right?”

Simone: (nodding)”Yep.”

Miguel: “Okay, I’ll be back.”

Jessica:”Let me help you with them.”

Jessica goes with Miguel to have a time alone to see the real reason why he broke up with Miguel and 
maybe find out who this girl is.

Miguel: “Oh okay.”

Simone:”Kay and I will go look for a place to sit.”(grabbing Kay’s arm)

Miguel: (gives Kay a smile)“Okay.”(walks to the counter with Jessica.)

Simone pulls Kay to the sofa, were they alway sit.

Simone: “What were you and Miguel doing.”

Kay: (confused)”Doing?”

Simone: “Yes?”

Kay: “I don’t think we’re both on the same track here, Simone.”

Simone: “Kay durning the movies.”

Kay: (silly smile)”Nothing, getting popcorn.”

Simone: “Kay Bennett, you two were gone through out the whole movie. What were you doing?”

Kay: “We we’re just making out.”

Simone: “For an hour and 30 minutes?”

Kay:”Yes.”

Simone: “B.S.”

Kay:”I swear nothing else happened…”(evil smile)”Not yet that is.”

Simone: (wide eyed)”What do you mean not yet?”

Simone: “Have you guys got…close to it?”

Jessica: “When do we all get to met her? I mean she most be something else, to make you dump Charity, 
the love of your life for her.”

Miguel: “She didn’t make me dump Charity.”

Jessica: “Oh.” (leans against the counter)”So are we going to met her.”

Miguel: “Hopefuly, some day.”

Jessica: (fakes a smile)“I would like that.”

Miguel and Kay walk hand and hand on the beach.

Kay: “I had a great day with you.”(kisses Miguel on the cheek)

Miguel: (smiles)”Ditto.”

Kay: “It would have been better if Jessica wasn’t with us.”

Miguel: (kisses her sofly on the lips)”You two should stop fighting.”

Kay: “I can’t help it, she annoys me.”

Miguel: “Will you should try.”

Kay: “I have, god knows I have.”

Miguel: ”So what were you and Simone talking about earlier?”

Kay: “When?”

Miguel: “At the book café.”

Kay: “Oh, Sex.”

Miguel: (laughs)”No really.”

Kay: “Yes really.”

Miguel: “And how did that come up.”

Kay: (laughs)”She wanted to know if we were having sex at the movies.”

Miguel: (laught as well)”And what did you say?”

They both stop walking.

Miguel: “No.”(laughs)”Why would you think that?”

Kay: “I don’t know.” (series expression) “Don’t you want thing to change?”

Miguel: “Things have changed, Kay.”

Kay: “Miguel I know thing have changed between us. But I have to admit that I want you so bad and 
every day when you touch me of kiss me. I feel like I’m going to die.”(pause)”I wanted you for so long 
and I can’t wait till the day that we finally close the deal.”(smiles)

Miguel: (trails his hand down her face)”Me too.”(kisses her)”But we have to take it slow.”

Kay: (smiles)”I know.”

Miguel sit down on the sand pulling Kay on his lap.

Kay: “Why didn’t you noticed me before? Why did it take you so long?”

Miguel: “Cause I was blind and stupid.”

Kay: (smiles)”That’s a good reason.”

Miguel:”I just know that you make me feel so alive inside.” (kisses her hard on the lips)

Kay: (breaking it)”So do you.”
