Tears of Aphrodite

By Rogue

Apollo's fiery chariot gallops across the sky.

The hooves of his raging stallions beat mercilessly down upon the Earth, down upon me as I drive.

The car heats up but the warmth feels so good.

The passenger wants ventilation, the warmth seeps out and is caught in Posiden's breath.

Feeling alone and isolated, I see his white barge mocking me, laughing at me in waves that Posiden provides.

Gods why are you being so cruel?

Tears of Aphrodite flow discretely down my cheeks, while Athena softly dries my eyes.

Cupid, you struck me hard with your arrow as my heart gently dies.

Clouds erupt in a pasture of blue, Zeus throws a mighty lightening bolt.

Worry mingles with desolation as I watched him step upon his boat.

Posiden, please carry him safely.

Athena, please guide him well.

Aphrodite, please help me deal with his absence.

And Zeus, you can go to Hell!!!

You drag him away, time and again, on another whild adventure while I stay behind.

How much more of his leaving must I endure?

Please Gods, when will it end?
