She pulled her coat tighly around her as the cold air hit her in the face. She looked up at the stars as she was walking down the streets of Harmony one last time. She couldn't stand to stay here not after what she saw. She just couldn't she was to hurt & she didn't know what to do. She walked down to the shore line & sit down & started to think....
***FLASHBACK***
Sheridan had just walked into the Harmony Youth Center it was early but she had decided to get a head start & she wanted to see Luis. She walked in & headed towards his office & saw two figures laying on the couch. She moved closer & gasped at what she saw it was still dark but what she thought she saw was Luis & Beth cuddled up together on the sofa. She noticed most of Beth's clothers were laying in the floor. Tears come in her eyes & she ran out the door.
***END OF FLASHBACK***
She started to cry as she remembered what she had saw. She had thought Luis liked her. He always acted like he did but now she didn't know what to think. She pulled her knees to her chest when she felt the cool breeze then she remembered being with Luis at the skating rink & she started to cry. It was freezing cold outside but it really didn't bother her to much she was to hurt to care whether she lived or died. She sat out in the cold several hours until she finally collapsed from hypothermia.
Luis had just left the house & was making his rounds. He wandered why he hadn't heard from Sheridan she hadn't been to work in three days. He had tryed to call & never got no answer & he was starting to get worried about her. Luis drove down by the shore & saw a motionless body laying by a nearby rock. He jumped out of the cruiser & started to run over to where the lifeless body layed. It looked just like her but it couldn't be why would she have came out there. Just as he got to the body he realized he was right.
Luis dropped down to his knees & checked her pulse. She still had one although it was very weak. He knew he had to get her to the hospital & quick or she would die & he wasn't about to let that happen. He grabbed her up & placed her in the cruiser & drove as fast as he could to the hospital. Once he got to the hospital he quickly took her in & saw Eve.
"Luis" Eve please you have to help her "Eve" Wha What happened? "Luis" I don't know please just help her
Eve motioned for a strecher & Luis layed her on it. Luis didn't want to let go of her hand. He didn't want to let her go he was afraid she'd leave him. Eve made Luis stay in the waiting room while they took Sheridan into ICU. About 2 hours later Eve finally came back out & Luis jumped to his feet.
"Luis" Eve please tell me is she alright? Will she be ok? Can I see her? "Eve" Luis... I'm afraid it doesn't look good "Luis" No she can't leave me "Eve" She suffered alot of overexposure to the cold.... Luis cut her off. "Luis" I have to see her please let me see her "Eve" Luis you....."Luis" Damn it Eve don't tell me I can't you have to let me "Eve" But Luis....
Luis pushed her out of his way & ran back to ICU she gave up & just let him go. He walked into Sheridan's room & pulled a chair over by the bed & took her hand. "Luis" Sheridan please you can't leave me I love you Luis leaned his head against Sheridan's & started to cry. Somewhere in a distance Sheridan thought she heard Luis's voice she called out for him & no one answered then she heard the sounds of crying & started towards it.
Luis was still crying when he heard a weak voice say his name. Stunned he raised up & saw Sheridan's eyes slowly open. Luis started crying that much harder & he pulled a very weak Sheridan to him & hugged her not wanting to ever let her go. She was to weak to pull away from him. She was even to weak to wander why he was here. He pulled back & looked at her & smiled when he noticed the confused expression on her face.
"Luis" Sheridan whats wrong are you ok? "Sheridan" I.... I.... I think so where am I? "Luis" The hospital "Sheridan" The hospital? How did I get here? "Luis" I found you by the shore line you were Luis swallowed hard as he said the next words "Luis" Almost dead Just then it hit her & she pulled back.
"Sheridan" You should have let me die "Luis" Die? Are you kidding? I could never do that! "Sheridan" After what I saw I wouldn't think you'd care about me "Luis" What you saw? "Sheridan" Yes in the youth center "Luis" Oh no you thought that was me? The other morning with Beth? "Sheridan" Yes "Luis" Sheridan that was Hank it shocked me when I walked in my office Hank had put on my police uniform him & Beth had both got out & got drunk & they ended up there "Sheridan" It... it wasn't you.
She looked at him with a look of hope, deperation, & love. He took her hand into his & brushed her hair away from her face. "Luis" No it wasn't me you have to believe me "Sheridan" I believe you... How could I be such a fool "Luis" I understand I can see why you thought that "Sheridan" Luis you don't understand I wanted to die last night I didn't want to live "Luis" Because of me? Oh Sheridan...
He pulled her close to him & held her as she told him what had happened last night & why she was out in the cold at the shore line. "Luis" I'm so sorry I should have known there was something more wrong you could have died out there "Sheridan" But I didn't thanks to you "Luis" Sheridan I have tell you something "Sheridan" What is it Luis? "Luis" This
He cupped her head in his hands & gently kissed her lips first slowly & then with more passion. She wrapped her arms around him & was lost in his kiss. When he pulled away she was breathless. "Sheridan" I love you Luis"Luis" I love you Sheridan. Sheridan leaned back towards him after almost dieing she didn't even feel weak no more not when Luis wrapped his arms around her. He pulled her back into a kiss.
Eve had decided it had been long enough & set out towards ICU she looked through the glass window & was shocked to see Luis & Sheridan in a passionate embrace. She smiled & then walked away. From that day forward Luis & Sheridan were in seperable. They were never apart.
