LATEST NEWS: DONN SWABY WORKS HIS MAGIC
Cathy Doe (Simone) recently starred in the independent film Buds for Life, written by none other than Donn Swaby (ex-Chad), who also stars. Also appearing in the film are Doe's real-life boyfriend Eugene Byrd, ex-Passions cast members Roark Critchlow and Chrystee Pharris Larkins, and Ben Hogestyn, the son of Days of our Lives star Drake Hogestyn. The film debuted on the indie circuit in November of 2004, but there is no national release date as of yet.
BLU: Since you departed Passions, what have you been doing?
Donn: I'm putting the band together, I'm currently switching agents, and starting to audition again. It all feels really good. This next year is going to be something to see. I'll be playing guitar and singing back-up vocals in both dynasty and my eventual new band. I'll hopefully continue to write music.
BLU: Why did you leave Passions - soap opera on NBC?
Donn: I left because I wanted to pursue other things; namely films and dramatic television, maybe even sitcoms if the right role came along with great writing. I wouldn't be able to get those things and go where I'm meant to go in my career if I stayed on that show.
