Chapter 3: Protecting Love
Chapter 3:
At the station Luis was booking Sheridan, she hadn't said one word to him the entire time. He opened the cell for her and she just walked in without any protest.
"Call me if you need anything." Luis said expecting a smart remark like the last time she was in jail but he only got a hurtful look from her.
"Sheridan.." he started to say with a soft voice but she turned her back to him. He unlocked the cell door and walked in.
"Sheridan.." he said softly. She turned around to face him, he thought he saw pain in her eyes.
"How could you do this to me Luis? After all I've been through. After all we've been through you put me in jail." She said yelling the last sentence
"What do you mean 'how could you?' Your the one who had me arrested." Luis said yelling.
"You kidnapped me! I never did that on purpose, I just wanted to teach you a lesson. Your doing this to get back at me."
"I did it for your own good Sheridan, just like I'm doing now." Luis said returning her anger.
"I want my phone call!" Sheridan stated loudly.
"Fine." He went to grab her arm but she yanked it away.
"I can walk on my own you neanderthal!" she said as she walked to the phone. She dialed Ethan's cell.
"Ethan I need you down at the station now." Sheridan stated.
"Where the hell are you Sheridan? Crane security has been looking everywhere for you."
"That's what I was calling about, I got arrested, again."
"By who?" Ethan asked.
"Who else? But officer Lopez-Fitzgerald himself." she said glaring at Luis.
"I'll be right down. Bye."
"Bye Ethan." Luis led her back to her cell and left her alone to cool down. Ten minutes later he came back with Ethan and Mike.
"Luis could you please open the cell?" Ethan asked. Luis opened the cell and Ethan walked in. He pulled Sheridan into a big hug.
"I'm so glad your okay. I didn't know what happened to you. I'm so happy your okay."
"Oh Ethan I'm sorry for making you worry but I'm okay or I will be as soon as I get of jail."
"Why wasn't Mike with you Sheridan?" Ethan asked.
"Because I ditched him."
"Sheridan why the hell would you do that?" Ethan asked not believing what she did. He didn't wait for an answer he turned to Mike.
"Mike it's clear that you can't protect my aunt, she's just too sneaky for you. Your services are no longer needed. Good-bye." With that Mike left.
"Now that that is straightened out get me out of here Ethan." Sheridan said smiling. Ethan turned back to her,
"Your not going anywhere Sheridan. Your staying right here where you're safe." Ethan said not blinking an eye. Sheridan's mouth dropped open as Luis' smile became broader.
"What did you just say Ethan?" Sheridan asked in total disbelief.
"You heard me Sheridan. I won't back down, this is your life. I'm gonna make sure your around for a long time. Besides your suppose to be Gwen's maid of honor." he said with a definite look. Sheridan couldn't believe what he was saying.
"You'd do this to me. I'm your aunt. Furthermore your taking Luis' side. You little trader I'm blood.
"Sheridan I'm for whatever keeps you safe and alive." He hugged his aunt but she didn't return it for a little while; when she did it was only to pick his pocket for his phone. Ethan told her good-bye and told her that he would be back in the morning. He left leaving Sheridan and Luis alone.
"Do you want something to eat, I could get you some chinese food." he said smiling at her knowing that she loved it.
"No thank you just leave me alone, I'm not hungry." Sheridan said with a sadness in her voice but with force at the same time. Luis' smile disappeared and he left her alone. Sheridan pulled the cell from behind her back. She dialed the one person she knew would get her out of this mess, Blake Mallory. She listened to the phone ring until someone picked up.
"Mallory." Blake said.
"Blake hey guess who?"
"Sheridan, he said happily how are you doing?"
"Well that's why I'm calling I need you to come to Harmony."
"Sheridan what's going on?" Blake asked.
"I'm in jail."
"Your what? Why?"
"I'll tell you when you get here please just come I need you." Sheridan begged.
"Okay I'm on the first flight. See you then."
"Bye Blake." Sheridan hid the phone away under her pillow and lied down to rest. She then fell asleep, which only lead to more dreaming about Luis.
*Dream*
"Luis why are you doing this?"
"I'm only doing it to keep you safe, I couldn't stand it if something happened to you." Luis said only inches away from her face.
"Oh really and why is that?" He moved his hand to caress her face leaning down to softly kiss her soft inviting lips. She returned the kiss which surprised herself. The kiss increased with an intensity neither had ever felt before. He broke the kiss and moved down to her neck. She began moaning which made him move up her neck to her ear. She suddenly moaned his name. Just as the dream was getting good she heard someone calling her name.
*Reality*
"Sheridan, Sheridan." Luis said repeatedly trying to wake her up. She rose from the bed breathing hard totally flushed.
"Are you okay Sheridan?" Luis asked standing over her. She looked up at him in a daze, her breathing becoming louder, her chest heaving up and down. Her eyes were filled with lust. Her dream was so real and vivid, in fact too real for Sheridan.
"Sheridan.." Luis said snapping her out of the daze she was in.
"Must of been some dream." Luis said flashing her that million dollar smile. Sheridan just looked away and blushed.
"Oh what did you want?" Sheridan asked trying to compose herself.
"You have a visitor, Blake Mallory." Just hearing the name at the moment made her smile and her eyes light up. Luis wondered who the guy was, taking notice she was very happy to see him.
"Thank God." she said getting off the bed, straightening her hair clothes.
"Can you please get him." and with that Luis left and came back with a tall blonde haired male with blue eyes in an Armani suit. Luis opened the cell up. Sheridan immediately wrapped her arms around him as he did the same.
"I'm so glad to see you, I'm so glad you came."
"Of course I would come you know that." Blake said as he pulled back still holding her by the waist. Luis could feel himself getting jealous but he just pushed it down, reasoning it with something stupid. Sheridan noticed Luis was still there.
"Could you leave us alone please?" Sheridan asked.
"Sure." with that he left.
"Okay Sheridan why are you in here?" Blake asked curiously. Sheridan told him the whole story and he told her he would get her out within the hour. He made a few phone calls and it was done. In the meantime they talked about old times and what was going on in their lives. Luis then returned with Ethan by his side. Ethan's mouth gaped open when he saw Blake, which Luis noticed. Ethan then turned to Luis and gave him a look that said he needed to talk to him. The two went back to Luis' desk.
What's up Ethan?" Luis asked confused.
"We have to keep Sheridan safe outside of jail, her release will come sooner than you think."
"What are you talking about Ethan? She's not going anywhere."
"Yes she is and Blake will make sure of it. She'll be out of here in a few hours.
"That's impossible Sheridan was arrested, she's not going anywhere."
"It's not impossible and she is going to get out. Hell she'll probably be out within half an hour.
"He wouldn't.." Ethan cut him off
"The man would do anything for Sheridan."
Just then Sam called Luis and Ethan into his office.
"Luis you have to let Sheridan out." Sam stated.
"What?" Luis yelled.
"That was quicker than I thought it might be." Ethan said frightfully.
"She's free to go Luis. Go open the jail cell." Luis got up angry and headed towards her jail cell. He saw the two of them hugging. Sheridan broke away when she saw Luis standing there.
"Your free to go." He said as he opened the jail cell. A huge smile formed across her face as she turned to Blake and threw her arms around him.
"Thank you." She whispered.
"Anytime." he said as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Let's go." she happily pulled him out of the cell and headed for the door, ignoring Luis. When she got to the front Ethan was also angry and looked confused. He stopped Sheridan, he needed to know how she even got into contact with Blake in jail. He didn't call him and he knew that Luis didn't call him.
"Sheridan I have a question for you." She stopped and turned to Ethan.
"What is it Ethan?" Sheridan asked as she to her nephew.
"How did you get into contact with Blake?" A wicked smile spread across her face as she puled out Ethan's cell. Ethan's eyes bugged out as did Luis'.
"You picked my pocket?" Ethan said incredulously.
"Yeah so if you'll excuse me I'm going home to shower and change. Blake guess what."
"What?" Blake asked smiling down at her.
"You get to take me to breakfast." she said knowing he would love to..
"I would love nothing more. Let's go." With that Sheridan and Blake left. Luis boiling not just over the fact that Sheridan had gotten out of jail but that she left with Blake.
"I can't believe this, she doesn't give a damn about her life." Ethan said.
"She's being pig-headed and stubborn. The woman just won't listen, you can't tell her anything. She's mistaken if she thinks she's going to get away that easily.." Luis said angrily.
"What do you mean?" Ethan asked clueless.
Luis began to tell him about Roger and Pierre's case being an international thing, the FBI would want to get involved and protect Sheridan. Ethan thought it was a great idea. They talked to Sam about it, he disagreed at fist but he later changed his mind. Sam contacted the FBI and told them about Sheridan. They were very interested in the case. they told Sam they would be down in a couple of hours.
