Chapter 1
She sighed contently as Luis wrapped his arms around her.
"What are you thinking about baby?" He asked, placing sweet kisses along her
slender neck. "Just how good it feels to be here in Puerto Arena, instead of
Harmony." She smiled up at him and leaned up to kiss him passionately. Katherine
and Martin interrupted them. "Sheridan, Luis the Mrs. and I are going to head to
our room. Would you like us to show you to your room?" Martin asked. "Yes,
that'd be very kind of you and Mrs. Wheeler" Sheridan spoke, pulling away from
Luis. Both Sheridan and Luis gathered their luggage and their carry on
bags.
"This room is beautiful" Sheridan exclaimed, placing her suitcase
and carry on bag beside the bed. "Yes, it is very beautiful. Your tia Maria did
a fantastic job building and decorating this hotel." Katherine said. "Yeah, she
sure did" Luis said. "Well we're going to head to bed. Goodnight" Katherine
said, threading her fingers with Martin's. " "Yes, goodnight Sheridan, goodnight
Luis" "Goodnight. Thank you for giving us a ride here tonight." Sheridan said
warmly. "Your welcome, it was our pleasure." Katherine said, smiling at her
daughter and Martin's son.
Luis led Martin and Katherine out of the room,
he shut the door behind him. "Sher?" Luis called out. "I'm in the bathroom Luis"
She replied. He walked to the bathroom and opened the door. Sheridan was
standing there half naked, in a bra and a pair of panties. "Sheridan, please
don't tempt me. I, we, need to go and find my sister. And we can't do that if we
make love, because after one round I'll never want to leave the bed nor the
bedroom." He smiled. "Luis, come on, please. I mean this is the first time that
we've actually got to be alone. Plus all the hot night clubs here don't open for
another hour" Sheridan told him, making a point.
She walked over to him
and laced her around around his neck loosely. "Oh Sheridan, you're going to be
the death of me, sweetheart" He chuckled and picked her up. He carried her out
to the bedroom and placed her body on the bed. He laid on top of her and placed
a kiss on her soft lips. "I love you Sheridan, so much" He told her, brushing
her cheek with his knuckle. "I love you too, Luis" She smiled up at him. They
undressed each other, then Luis slid into her. She sighed, wrapping her arms
around Luis's back, he moved deeper within her. "Oh g*d Luis" She moaned, he
planted kisses along her slender neck. Luis was sending her to places that she'd
never been before, and she was loving every second of it!
Later, the
couple lay limbs entwined, basking in the after glow. "Mmm...Could this night
get any better?" She asked, both still in their own little world. "No,
definitely not, baby," He answered, "I would love to stay with you like this,
forever. But we have to go and find Paloma" He sat up and looked at her. "Yes,
we do have to look for her. You ca have the shower first" She said, rubbing his
back. He leaned forward and captured her lips with his own. When he pulled back,
he smiled at her, got up, and headed to the bathroom. Sheridan laid back down,
burying her face in his pillow, she could already smell his scent on it. Hearing
the water stop, she sighed, and slid out of the comfy bed. "Shower's all yours,
beautiful" He announced, coming out of the bathroom, wearing nothing but a white
towel around his waist.
"Sher, you ready?" Luis asked. "Yup" She
answered, coming out of the bathroom. "You look hot!" Was all he managed to get
out. She wore a jean skirt, which hit mid thigh and showed off her long, tanned
legs. She wore a light pink halter top, and black sandals adorned her feet. "Why
thank you, Luis" She said, looping her arms around his waist. She leaned up and
kissed him fully on the lips. Luis' hands slid down, and he cupped her bottom in
his large hands. She was the first one to pull away. "Later, sweetheart" She
whispered against his lips. Luis laced their fingers together and led her out of
the room.
Chapter 2
Sheridan led Luis inside the loud night club. Sheridan
stopped in her tracks, mouth hanging open. He saw what she was staring at, and
he gasped. "Oh my gosh, that's Paloma!" Luis exclaimed, furiously. She was
dancing like a $lut, for god sakes. "Go, Paloma" One guy yelled. "Hey, mami
chula (sexy lady)" Another guy yelled. Luis was furious, he went up to her,
grabbed her by the arm and dragged her outside.
"Let go of me!" She
screamed. "Luis?" "Yeah. It's It's me, Paloma," He said, staring at her.
Sheridan watched as the two interacted, "We've come to take you home" "I don't
want to go anywhere with you!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air.
"Why should I go? So you can throw me away again, like some piece of
garbage"
He watched as she ran off, he was about to go after her, but
something held him back. Luis looked down, he noticed Sheridan's hand, she was
holding him back. "Sher, let me go after her." "No, Luis. She needs time."
Sheridan told him. "Oh, alright. I guess I can leave her alone, for now. Lets'
go back inside the club" He suggested, wrapping his arm around her shoulders.
They went back inside and they began to dance, dirty dance. The string
of a song begins to play. She looks over at me, into my eyes and deep into my
soul, and smiles. I take her hand and in mine as we begin to dance to one of our
favorite dances. The tango! Something we haven't danced to in so very long. It
feels so good to have her body pressed up against mine, Luis thought, with a big
smile.
Everyone's eyes were on Sheridan and Luis, until the dance ended.
All the ladies were checking Luis out, they were all over him too. Sheridan was
get angrier by the minute. "Luis, I think we should leave" She told him,
grabbing his hand. "Sheridan, why do you want to leave, baby?" He asked. "Cause,
all those women were all over you. I wasn't liking any of it, either! Plus, if
we left now, we could go back to the hotel and..." She moved her lips to his
ear, lightly nibbling on his lobe, "And fool around, maybe" She
suggested.
They practically ran heading for the hotel, Luis leading the
way. "Luis, slow down, I can't run very fast in these heels" She told him. "What
can I say? I'm in a hurry to make love to you" He said. Luis picked her up and
threw her over his shoulder. "What are you doing?" She asked, giggling as he ran
with her. "I just told you that I was in a hurry to make love to you. So, those
heels are not going to stop me. This is the easiest way I could think of to get
back to our hotel faster" Luis told her, spanking her bottom
playfully.
"Hey Luis, hold on one second. Stop right here, put me down
for just a sec" She told him. He placed her back down on the ground. "Luis,
look, the beach" She told him, smiling. "So. We have a beach at home. What's the
big deal?" He asked, she didn't answer him, because she was to busy leading him
down to the beach. "Sher, you got me all worked up and you want to come to the
beach" "Who said we couldn't make love" She teased, but he wasn't kidding
around, he was going to take her. Right on the beach.
Luis enveloped her
in his arms and passionately kissed. She could feel his desire pressed up
against her. He lowered her onto the warm sand. "Luis, no, we can't do this
here. It's illegal, it's public indecency, it's..." He cut her off, crushing his
lips to hers, once again. "You talk way too much" They were at the secluded part
of the beach, so no one would see them. He slowly undressed her, taking in every
piece of her body. "You're beautiful Sheridan, so beautiful" Luis told her,
caressing her cheek.
He planted kisses everywhere on her body. "Thank you
Luis" She whispered, shyly. He finished undressing her, and he flipped them
over. She was on top now, she undressed him, kissing every newly exposed area.
"You're beautiful Luis. I love you, Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald" She told him,
caressing his handsome, well-shaved cheek.. He threaded his long fingers through
her golden hair. Luis kissed her lips softly. "I love you too, Sheridan Crane"
He smiled, threading her fingers in his soft hair, he filled her completely,
taking her, right there on Puerto Arena's beach.
Chapter 3
"Good morning Luis" She spoke softly. "Morning babe. Did
you sleep well?" Luis asked, planting kisses along her neck. "Very well. Last
night was so wonderful, Luis. Thank you" She told him and placed a kiss on his
lips. "You're very welcome sweetheart. How about we get up and take a long, hot
shower. I think we need it" He suggested with a laugh. "Ok." Was all she said
and got out of bed. They headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
Almost
an hour and a half later, Luis and Sheridan walked outside onto the patio. Both
were in extremely happy moods. "Well good morning Luis. Good morning Sheridan"
Mrs. Wheeler said, pouring herself more coffee. "Good morning" They both
replied, sitting down at the table. Luis poured himself, and Sheridan, some
coffee. "Thank Luis" Sheridan said, smiling sweetly. "So, Mrs. Wheeler, where is
Mr. Wheeler this morning?" Luis asked. "He had to go into town for a little
while."
"Sher, let's go and take a walk on our favorite beach" Luis
suggested, coming out of the bathroom. "Alright, just let me change" She said.
Walking over to her suit case, she pulled out a jean skirt and a red halter top.
She walked into the bathroom and quickly changed her clothes. Sheridan exited
the bathroom, and like always, she took his breath away. "Sheridan, you look
beautiful. You look so breath taking." She blushed a deep crimson.
He
entwined their fingers and they walked along the warm water. "Sheridan, there's
a reason I asked you to take a walk on the beach" He told her, turning to look
into her eyes. "Yes, and what did you bring me here for, Luis?" She asked,
smiling up at him. "Sher, you know I love you with all of my heart. I've always
loved you, I always will, no matter what. You're my soul mate, I can't live
without you." Luis got down on one knee and pulled the velvet box out of his
pocket. "Will you make me the happiest man in the world? Will you marry me,
Sheridan?" He asked, producing his grandmothers beautiful ring.
"Yes!!! A
million times, yes!" She exclaimed, leaping into his arms. He stood up and swung
her around. Luis put her down and slipped the ring on her finger. He pulled her
into a passionate kiss. "Oh Luis, I love you so much" She said, when they broke
apart. "I love you too baby. I want to make you my wife as soon as possible"
Luis told her, snaking his arms around her, from behind. "Soon I'll be Mrs. Luis
Lopez-Fitzgerald" She spoke, looking down lovingly at her ring. "Come on let's
go back and tell everyone"
They walked back to the hotel, stealing
passionate kisses on the way. "Hello Mrs. Wheeler, hello Mr. Wheeler" They said,
sitting down beside the couple. "Hello Sheridan, hello Luis. You both sure seem
very happy" Katherine said. "Well, we are very happy. See, I asked Sheridan to
marry me, and she accepted." Luis said, and placed a kiss on his fiancée's lips.
"Oh that's wonderful. So when do you two plan on tying the knot?" Martin asked.
"We want to get married as soon as possible!" Sheridan exclaimed, all giddy and
happy. "Oh that's wonderful! I can see that you two were meant to be" Katherine
said, smiling, ecstatically happy for the couple.
"We wanted to come back
here and tell you both and my tia Maria and my sister. We would like you all to
come down to the church with us. We want you to be there when we get married"
Sheridan said, wrapping her arm around Luis' waist. "Luis, Sheridan, we'd love
to. But when do you plan on having this wedding?" Martin asked. Luis looked down
at Sheridan, smiling to himself he replied, "Tonight. We want to get married
tonight." Sheridan looked at him, obviously shocked, her mouth hanging wide
open.
"Luis, tonight? Isn't that a little too soon?" She asked. "No, baby
it's not too soon. It's never too soon to marry the person you truly love, and
you're truly destined to be with forever." He told her. Locking their fingers
together, she sighed, she couldn't wait to marry him. They belonged together,
they were made for each other. Just then, Maria and Paloma walked into the room.
"What's going on?" They asked. "Sheridan and I are getting married tonight" "Oh,
Luis that's wonderful. I'm so happy for you two" Maria said, hugging and kissing
both of them. "Yes, Luis, I'm very happy for you and Sheridan also." Paloma
said, congratulating them with hugs.
chapter 4
They entered the church. Luis and Sheridan went off to
find the priest while the others sat in the first pew. "Hello my name is father
Carlos. I will be marrying the two of you tonight" The priest said, shaking both
Luis and Sheridan's hands. The three went out to where the others sat. "Ok if
you two will please get ready." "Mr. Wheeler would you please do me the honor by
walking me down the aisle?" Sheridan asked. "Sheridan, I'd be honored to walk
you down the aisle."
She walked down the aisle on Martin's arm. Luis
stared at her in amazement as she walked down the aisle to him. She had changed
her clothes, now she was wearing a light pink dress. Sheridan was absolutely
breathtaking. He'd never get tired of looking at her beautiful, angelic face and
her gorgeous, sexy body. They reached the altar, she placed a light kiss on
Martin's cheek and stepped up and met Luis. Then the priest began to speak, "We
are gathered here today to witness the holy matrimony of Sheridan Crane and Luis
Lopez-Fitzgerald. Let's start of with the sign of the cross. The father, the son
and the holy spirit. Amen."
Father Carlos turned the page and spoke
again. "I'm going to quote Saint Paul on the meaning of love. "Love is patient,
love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, It is not proud. It is not
rude, it is not self-seeking, It is not easily angered, It keeps no record of
wrongs. Love does not delight in evil But rejoices with the truth. It always
protects, always trusts, Always hopes, always perseveres. Luis, would you please
turn and face Sheridan" Luis turned and faced the woman he loved and smiled at
her. "Would you please repeat after me. I Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald, take you
Sheridan Crane, to be my wedded wife." Luis repeated what the priest had just
said. "To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for
richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death
do us part. And here to I pledge you my faithfulness. "
"Now Sheridan, please turn and face Luis. Please repeat after me. I,
Sheridan Crane, take you Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald, to be my wedded husband." She
repeated those words and repeated the rest of the vows. To have and to hold,
from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in
sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, 'till death do us part. And here
to I pledge you my faithfulness." Both Sheridan and Luis were crying. In a
matter of minutes they'd actually be husband and wife! A little while later,
Father Carlos announced that Luis could kiss his bride. And kiss his bride he
did. Luis pulled his wife into the most amazing, passionate beautiful kiss that
they had ever shared.
They pulled apart and just stared deeply into each others eyes. "May I
present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald." Maria, Paloma, Martin and
Katherine all clapped and the three women cried happily. "I Love you so much
Sheridan Lopez-Fitzgerald" He whispered in her ear. "And I love you Luis
Lopez-Fitzgerald. Oh Luis, I can't believe we finally have managed to actually
get married. Are you sure that this is real?" She asked, wrapping her arms
around his body. "I can't believe it either, beautiful. But just to make sure
this is real…" He gave her butt a quick pinch and she gasped. "Luis you're in a
church for heaven's sake" She exclaimed. He shut her up with a kiss and lead her
out of the church. Everyone congratulated them and they all headed to a Mexican
Restaurant and Bar to celebrate.
Chapter 5
Running her fingers through her
blonde curls, she sighed. Luis still wasn't speaking to his father. And now, he
was angry with her for spending time with Martin. "Luis, you can't stay in here
for the rest of our trip, that's 3 days." She said, opening the door. "Yes, I
can and I will, Sheridan." He told her. She left their room and headed
downstairs. Sheridan, her mother and Martin were suppose to go to the beach. The
three arrived at the beach and found a spot where it wasn't too hot. Sheridan
looked over to her right, where her and Luis had made love, just last week.
Sheridan wanted Luis to be here, with Katherine and Martin, and with her. She
excused herself and pulled out her phone. "You get your stubborn ass down here.
Right now, Luis!" She demanded through the phone and then hung up.
He
took his sandals off and walked on the warm sand. He looked directly at his
father, mother-in-law, and his wife. "Luis" He heard Sheridan call and watched
as she ran into his arms. "Hey" He said softly. "Luis, I'm so glad you came. I
was starting to think you wouldn't come" Sheridan said sadly, lowering her head.
He cupped her face in his hands. "Sher, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be angry
with you. And today, I finally realized that I wasn't going to let this stuff
come between us. I love you, Sheridan. Forever and always" He told her and
kissed her softly. "I love you too, Luis, so very much" She him when they pulled
away. "Come on, let's go enjoy the rest of the day with our parents" He said,
offering his hand and she took it.
"Come on in Sheridan, the waters
great" Luis called. "yeah come on, Katherine" Martin called. The two women were
laying down, tanning. "Papa, lets' sneak up on them. Then, we pick them up and
drop them in the water" He said, with a sly smile. The two men slowly walked out
of the water water, careful not to make any noise. The girls eyes were closed,
so Luis picked up Sheridan, while his father picked up Katherine. Katherine and
Sheridan were dropped in the water, both guys were cracking up. "ha ha" Martin
and Luis taunted playfully. "Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald, you are such a jerk!"
Sheridan exclaimed. Both mother and daughter stepped out of the water, soaking
wet and angry expressions plastered on their beautiful faces. Luis ran up behind
his wife and tackled her down onto the sand. She shot him a dirty look when he
landed on top of her. "Ugh…Luis get off of me!" "I'm sorry baby. Let's kiss and
make up" He grinned and kissed her passionately.
The four walked into the
hotel, tired, but extremely happy and content. "Would you two like to go out to
dinner with Martin and me?" Katherine asked Sheridan and Luis. "Well, Luis and I
aren't very hungry. We're just very tired, we've had a long day." She fibbed.
"Oh alright, I guess we'll see you tonight. Goodnight Sheridan, goodnight Luis"
"Goodnight mother, Goodnight Martin" "Goodnight Sheridan" Martin said and
watched as he daughter-in-law walked up the stairs after his son. Luis was
already in bed when she walked through the bedroom door. She looked at him
laying there, an instantly she felt hurt that he didn't want to make love, or
even talk. Sheridan slid on her short, red nightgown and slipped into bed. She
turned the other way, so their backs were facing each other. She felt the bed
shift and just figured he was tossing and turning. But to her surprise he
securely wrapped his arms around her.
"I don't know if you're awake, but
I just wanted to tell you that I love you, Sher. Forever and always, mi amor."
He told her and kissed the back of her head. She smiled to herself and debated
on whether to let him know if she was awake or not. "I love you too, Luis"
Sheridan replied and shifted in his arms, so that she was facing him. She leaned
in to kiss him and he met her half way. "Mmm…I cannot get enough of your sweet
kisses." He told her. She smiled at him and kisses him again. "I was kind of
hurt when I saw you in bed. If I had known you were going to bed when we got
here, I would've accepted my mothers dinner offer. But I lied and said that we
were tired and we weren't that hungry." She said to him. "Why did you lie?"
"Well Luis, I thought that you rushed up here for a reason. Like lighting
candles or something. I thought that you wanted to make love" Sheridan told her
husband, looking down sheepishly.
"I wanted to make love to you. But I
thought you were pissed at me because I dropped you in the water and tackled you
down" "I wasn't mad, I was just pretending to be. So, now that we're both wide
awake, how about we do something to make us tired" She suggested seductively. "I
love the way you think beautiful" He whispered against her lips, caressing her
cheek. Luis helped her out of the nightgown. But when she went to slide off his
boxers she found him naked and hard. He climbed on top of her and entered her
slowly. Tonight, they decided, they'd take it nice and slow. They were in no
hurry. They moved and climbed over the edge together. No many how many times
they had made love, they never got tired of it. Later, as they lay in the
afterglow, they began to talk about their life and what they wanted out of it.
"I'd like our own house. I want a big yard, so are children can run around and
play" He told her.
"Children? How many do you want, Luis?" She asked.
"I'd love a big family. 5 or 6 kids would be great" "5 or 6? How about I carry 3
and you can carry three" She joked. "That's fine with me. I love you so much,
I'd do anything for you" "And I love you. I'd do anything for you too, Luis."
She tried to hold back a yawn, but it came out anyway. "I think we should get
some sleep" He suggested, burying his head in the crook of her neck and placed
kisses there. "Mmm…Sleep sounds very good right now." She wrapped her arms
around his waist and laid her head on his chest. After she fell asleep, Luis
just laid there and stared at his wife. Sheridan was the most beautiful creature
that he had ever laid eyes on. And he was all his, now and forever. He kissed
her temple softly and closed his eyes and fell into a deep
slumber.
Chapter 6
They stepped off of the plane,
carrying their carry on bags. While Sheridan, her mother and Paloma, went out to
find Ethan, the guys got the luggage. "Sheridan, it's so nice to have you back!"
Ethan exclaimed, hugging the woman he thought of as a sister. "Oh Ethan, it
feels so nice to be back. I want to introduce you to two people" Sheridan said.
Katherine and Paloma stepped forward. "Ethan, this is Paloma, Luis' baby sister.
And this is Katherine, my mother" He gave Paloma a hug and kissed her cheek. But
when Sheridan announced that this was Katherine, her mother, who everyone
thought was dead. "Sher, you know I love you like a sister. But have you gone
crazy?" Ethan asked. "No sweetie, I haven't gone crazy. This is really my
mother." "Hello, Ethan. I still remember when you were just a little newborn
baby" She said smiling and hugged the young man. "Oh my gosh, it really is you"
Ethan still couldn't believe it. He was totally shocked.
When the guys
came over with all the luggage Sheridan sprung another surprise on Ethan.
"Ethan, I believe you know my husband, Luis" She said, wrapping her arms around
him. " Husband? Congratulations you two!" He embraced the happily married
couple. "So, any more surprises?" "Yes, this is Luis' father. Ethan, meet Martin
Lopez-Fitzgerald" "Hey, nice to meet you" Martin said and the two men shook
hands. "Wow, I can't believe all the stuff you guys did down in Mexico." They
all got into Ethan's truck and they sped off to the Crane Estate. "Ok before we
go in, we'd like to just keep Martin and Katherine hidden in the cottage for a
little while. Ethan, I believe I can trust you to keep our secret" Sheridan
said. "Yes, you can always count on me" Katherine and Martin hurried into the
cottage, while Luis, Ethan and Sheridan got the luggage out of the car. They
were going up the steps, she was almost inside the house when Luis suddenly
stopped her. "Hold on, beautiful" "Luis, wha…" He picked her up and carried her
over the thresh hold. Luis placed her on her feet and she passionately kissed
him.
Ethan coughed and the happy newlyweds broke apart. "Alright, I'm
going to head back to the mansion. If any of you need anything, don't hesitate
to ask. "Thank you so much, Ethan. I don't know what I'd do without you,
sweetie" Sheridan hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek. Ethan left and Luis
and Sheridan continued to kiss. Luis was about to suggest some afternoon
delight, when he finally thought of his father and mother-in-law that we're in
the kitchen. The couple broke apart and sighed against each others lips. "Too
bad our parents are here or else I'd take you right here, on the couch" Luis
said in a low voice. She grinned, and turned her head as Katherine and Martin
strolled in. "What's going on in here?" Katherine asked, a big smile formed on
her lips. "Nothing mother. So what would you and Martin like to do?" Sheridan
asked as she entwined her fingers with Luis'.
"Well Katherine and I were
going to get a room at the nearest hotel" Martin answered. "No, you two can stay
here" Sheridan insisted. "No darling, I think it's better if Martin and I stay
at a hotel. So we can hide out. Plus, I doubt that you and Luis want some old
bats around" "Katherine, or should I call you something else?" "Katherine is
fine, dear" "Alright, well Katherine, we seriously wouldn't mind. But yeah, it
would be a good thing in a way. You two could hideout. Can I give you two a
ride?" "Yeah, sure son. That'd be nice. Katherine and I will just get our
things" Luis drove Martin and Katherine to Harmony Hills Motel, while Sheridan
stayed home. While her husband was gone she hurried around the house. She lit
candles in their bedroom. She made a trail of rose petals from the front door to
the bedroom. Sheridan walked into the bedroom and quickly undressed. She slid on
her sexy, little robe and tied the sash loosely around her waist. She, then,
laid on the bed and patiently awaited Luis' arrival.
Almost an hour
later, Luis strolled into their home. He looked around the dark room, and then,
he noticed the rose petals. He followed the trail and walked into their bedroom
he shared with Sheridan. Luis looked over at his wife and grinned. She was
laying down on the bed, eyes closed, so most likely sleeping. Yeah, I bet she's
sleeping all right, he thought. She looked so peaceful, like a beautiful,
angelic porcelain doll. Luis quietly tip-toed over to her and placed a kiss on
her lips. He wasn't surprised at all when he felt her respond to his kiss.
"Luis" she moaned pulling him on top of her. He untied her robe and slid it off
of her. He looked down at her, she was bare naked. "You like what you see?" She
asked, smiling wickedly. "Definitely" He mumbled as he leaned down and devoured
her breast. She moaned as he swirled his tongue around her aroused nipple. "Oh,
Luis" Luis did the same to the other breast. Sheridan helped him discard his
shirt. She ran her hands across his smooth chest and down over his abs. Sheridan
flipped them over. So now, she was on top of him.
She kissed him slowly

gosh! I love that idea, Luis." Sheridan threw herself into his arms. "I'm glad
you like the idea. Hope about we start looking tomorrow?" "But Luis, what about
your job?" She asked sadly. "I was going to tell you tomorrow, but oh well.
Julian talked to the mayor and then he talked to Sam. The reason it took me so
long to come back home was because Sam gave me my badge and gun back." "I'm so
happy for you. I'm so happy for us" Luis kissed his wife and then they made love

Chapter 7
Sheridan shifted in her husbands arms. The
bright sunlight was streaming through their bedroom. She looked up at his
handsome face. Caressing his cheek with the palm of her hand, she kissed his
lips. "Luis," She called, "Luis, wake up." "Mmm…" He mumbled and wrapped his
arms around her. "Come on, Luis," She huffed, "I want some loving" She
complained. Sheridan rolled on top of him, planting kisses all over his face and
chest. She caressed him all over and rubbed up against him. His 'friend'
immediately rose to the occasion. Before she knew it, she flat on her back, and
he was staring down wickedly at her. "Good morning, beautiful" He whispered
against her soft lips. "Good morning, sexy" Sheridan replied as she closed the
distance between them. They undressed each other and made love.
He teased her tongue as he washed her body.
"Hey, were suppose to be taking a shower. Meaning washing our hair and bodies.
Not fooling aro…" She couldn't get the whole sentence out because his lips
descended on hers and he lifted her body up and pressed her up against the wall.
Sheridan felt Luis' arousal pressed firmly against her stomach. He entered her
and made love to her once again. After making love, they got out and got
dressed. "I think we should start looking for a house today" He told her, a huge
smile was spread across his gorgeous face. "I like that idea" She was also
smiling. Neither could stop smiling or laughing. They were so happy. "I'm
famished" He said, rubbing his hard stomach. "I wonder why" Sheridan muttered
under breath as she watched him look through the fridge and cabinets for
something to eat. "Hey, how about we go out for lunch." Luis suggested, snaking
his arms around her waist. "Alright." Sheridan laced their fingers together as
they left the cottage.
The two arrived at the little Café downtown,
where Sheridan had wanted to go. They were seated immediately. "Good afternoon,
welcome to Downtown Harmony Café. My name is Vanessa ad I'll be your waitress
today. Can I get you two something to drink?" The perky waitress asked, staring
Luis up an down. "First I'd like you to stop staring at my husband like he's a
big piece of meat!" Sheridan exclaimed. "Sorry, mam" "Yes, you better be sorry.
Anyways, I'd like a diet coke, please." Sheridan said politely as the waitress
handed her her menu. "Thanks," Luis said, when she handed him her menu, "I'd
like a coke." He told the Vanessa. Sheridan shot daggers at her as she walked
away. "Can you believe the nerve of some women" Sheridan mumbled as she looked
over the menu. Luis chuckled as he watched his wife. He reached across the table
and grabbed her hand and held it in his large one. "I love you, Sheridan. Ever
since I met you I've never looked twice at any woman." He told her, a sexy,
sincere smile upon his face. "I know that, Luis. I love you too. I guess I was
just a little jealous" As he softly laughed at her, she blushed. "And what? You
don't think I get jealous when I see all these guys staring you up and down.
Sher, you're hot. You're absolutely gorgeous. Sexy, too." "You're too sweet, my
gorgeous, loving husband" Sheridan kissed Luis lightly on the lips.
Luis tapped softly on the door. "Hey Luis,
Sheridan. Come on in" "Hi papa, hi Katherine" Luis spoke, stepping into the
hotel room. "Hi Martin, mom" Sheridan said hugging her father-in-law and her
mother. "How was your night? Was the room comfortable? Was the bed alright?"
Luis asked. "Yes, it was fine, Luis. Have you ate dinner yet?" Katherine asked.
"Nope. I'm starving, how about you Luis? We could go downstairs to the
restaurant" Sheridan suggested, rubbing her stomach. "Alright. Sounds very
good." The two headed downstairs to the restaurant. They were sitting at their
table, waiting for their food, when suddenly, Sheridan felt sick. "Excuse me, I
need to use the ladies room" She practically ran to the ladies room. "I'm going
to go check on her" Luis said, standing up. "No, I'll go. You're not allowed in
the ladies room anyways, Luis" Katherine smiled and walked to the restroom. When
she walked in, she heard her daughter vomiting her brains out. "Oh Sheridan, are
you ok, sweetheart?" She asked, tapping on the door lightly. Sheridan walk out
of the stall minutes later. She rinsed her mouth and splashed her face with cold
water. "I don't know what happened. One minute I was fine, and the next I wanted
to vomit my guts out. The aroma of the food is what made me sick" "Are you
alright now, darling?" Katherine asked in a motherly concerned voice. "Yes, I'm
fine, mom"
After eating a delicious meal, Luis and
Sheridan said their goodbyes and left. As they drove back home, they listened to
their favorite love station. Sheridan laid her head on Luis' shoulder and
wrapped her arm around his waist. Luis looked down and smiled, she smiled back
up at him, he placed a kiss on top of her head. She yawned, then spoke, "Luis,
this music is putting me to sleep tonight." He laughed as he watched her change
the channels. Once she found a song she liked, she leaned her head back against
her husbands shoulder. Sheridan dazed off, thinking back to the restaurant. She
felt dizzy, the smell of the food made her sick, and she had vomited plenty. Oh
my gosh, could I be pregnant? The question rushed to her mind and her hand found
it's way down to her abdomen. Are you in there my sweet little baby, she asked
in her head. Sheridan smiled, looking up at Luis. If they were pregnant, one of
their biggest dreams had just come true. "I love you, Luis" She told him. He
looked down at her. "I love you too, Sher" Luis smiled and kissed her awaiting
lips. Once they got back to the cottage, they changed into their pajamas and
went to bed.
Chapter 8
Days later, they were lying in bed, it was early morning. "I'm pregnant"
She told him and just watched as a huge handsome grin spread across his face.
"oh my g*d really, Sheridan?" Sheridan nodded her head and giggled as he grabbed
her and kissed her passionately. As he pulled away and laid back down, she
cuddled closely into him. They both sighed contently. "I love you, Luis"
Sheridan whispered, happily smiling against his side. "And I love you, my
beautiful wife. G*d, I can't believe we made a baby, Sher! I'm so happy.
Everything is turning around for us and we're getting everything we've wanted
from the beginning." "I can't believe it though." Sheridan pulled Luis down for
another kiss and grinned. He began to caress her body, nibbling and tasting her
sensitive area. Her neck. "Luis…stop" She giggled. The couple began to get
serious. The looks of lust they shared soon turned in to full wanton desire.
"Hey baby, can we still do this?" "Yes. I checked with my OBGYN and she said it
was fine. Just as long as I'm comfortable." He brushed his lisp across hers and
began to undo the drawstring of her pants. They undressed each other quickly.
And slowly, he entered her, filling her completely. Which made her moan and buck
her hips.
"Sheridan, would you like scrambled eggs or over-easy?" He called form the
kitchen "Over-easy please" Sheridan replied and continued reading Parents
magazine. "Hey, what do you think about this?" Sheridan asked from the door,
holding up a picture. "What's that, sweetheart?" She walked over to him,
wrapping her arm around his waist and leaned her head on his shoulder. "I
circled everything that we're going to need." She told him, showing him
everything. Diapers, wipes, baby powder, shampoo/soap, changing table and crib.
"This baby's going to be a lot of work, isn't it?" He joked, cracking a smile.
"Yes, I guess so. But it's well worth it" She kissed him once and helped finish
cooking breakfast with him. Luis placed the plates on the table and poured him
and his wife some orange juice. They sat down and ate their breakfast.
Luis tapped lightly on the door. "Luis, Sheridan!" "Hi mom" "Hi, Katherine"
"What brings you two by?" Martin asked, coming out of the bathroom. "Well, we
have some very exciting news!" Luis exclaimed, entwining his and Sheridan's
fingers. "Well, what is it?" Her mother asked. "I'm pregnant!" Sheridan told
them, beaming with joy. "Oh…Sheridan, Luis congratulations!" Katherine said with
so much happiness in her voice. She hugged them both tightly, Martin did the
same. "Please let us take you out to dinner." "No, that won't be necessary dad"
Luis said. "Really, Luis, your father and I insist." "But what about everyone
seeing you two? What if people realize who you guys are" Sheridan said. Martin
and Katherine thought about that for a second, then Katherine spoke, "Let's make
the dinner for tomorrow night and invite everyone. Luis' family, Julian and Eve
and the Bennetts." "Mother, are you sure?" Sheridan asked, a questioning look on
her and Luis' faces. "Yes Sheridan, we've put this off for so many years. It's
time for the truth to come out." "Alright then, whatever you say. Should we book
the restaurant or are you going to do it?" "Oh, we'll take care of it," Martin
said, "We'll make it for 7 at The Seascape. I'll get our own private room
reserved. But you two just have to call everyone and invite them. " "Ok,
dad, thanks. I guess we'll see you tomorrow night"
Luis was in the living room watching a movie that night. Sheridan was busy
running around the house. The last stop she made was to the bathroom she shared
with Luis. Running the hot water, she poured some bubbles in and sprinkled rose
petals inside. She lit some Vanilla scented candles. While the water ran and
filled the tub, hurrying to the bedroom, she changed into her very revealing
negligee. Sheridan ran and shut off the water and walked out to seduce Luis.
It's not like I need to seduce him that much, she thought, a sexy smile upon her
face. "Hey, sexy!" She called from the doorway. He turned his head a cocked a
big grin. "Hey, beautiful" got up and walked over to her. Lowering his head to
her mouth, he kissed her softly. She lead him through their bedroom to the
bathroom. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and smiled against her
hair. "I can't believe you did this. I'm so lucky to have you" "No Luis, I'm the
lucky one. You've given my life so much meaning. You've showed me what it was
like and how it felt to be loved and cherished. I can never thank you enough for

devotion filled their kiss.
Chapter 9
"Sweetheart, are you almost ready?" Luis called, sitting down in the chair.
"Yes, just give me a minute" A little while later she exited the bedroom,
looking very exquisite. "You look beautiful, Sheridan" Luis told his wife.
Sheridan wore a beautiful, Red, strapless dress that hit her knees.
Gold hoops hung from her ears. Her golden hair was curled and her make-up
was done perfectly. The one thing that stood out mostly was her piercing, bright
blue eyes. Luis stood up and handed her a long-stemmed, Red
rose. She held up the rose in front of her nose and breathed in it's
scent. "Thank you, Luis" Sheridan kissed her husband softly on the lips. "Come
on, babe, let's get going" Sheridan laced her fingers with his and they were
off. On the way to the restaurant the two of them talked. "Luis, when can we
start looking for our house?" She asked. "I'm so sorry, Sheridan, we were
suppose to start looking yesterday. But we got preoccupied, that's alright
though. We'll just start looking tomorrow. Tonight we can go online and see what
houses are up for sale around Harmony. Then tomorrow, we go look at the insides
if we're interested." He told her. "Oh Luis, I can't wait till we buy our
own house! I can't wait till our baby is born!" She exclaimed, joy filling her
voice. "I know, baby. I still can't believe we're going to have a baby." "Well
you better believe it, buster!" She said, grinning at him. She played around
with the radio stations until she found a song she liked.
When they arrived at the restaurant everyone was already there. "Luis, I'm
so scared" She told him fearfully. "What's wrong, babe?" "What will everyone say
and think when the truth comes out. You're family is going to be so hurt. Pilar
the most! Her heart is going to shatter into a million pieces." Just the thought
made Sheridan cry. Pilar had been like a mother to her. And to see her hurt,
broke Sheridan's heart in two. Luis brought Sheridan into his arms and held her
close to him. "Sher, everything will be alright. Mama's a strong woman, very
strong." He wiped the tears that were falling from her eyes. She kissed him
lightly on the lips and entwined their fingers. They walked into the restaurant.
Sheridan and Luis greeted everyone with big smiles and hugs. They shared looks
with Martin and Katherine, who were sitting at a near by table. Everyone sat
down and Luis announced that he and his wife had two announcements. "Well, can
you tell us now?" Theresa asked, sitting beside Fox. Luis looked at Sheridan.
"Alright, let's just get it over with." "Alright, one of the announcements is
really huge. It's life changing." Luis started, trying to find the words to
explain the big secret. "What my husband is trying to say is that Martin
Fitzgerald and Katherine Crane are alive!" Katherine and Martin stood up and
walked over to the family. They didn't expect the truth to come out so soon. The
two stepped up to the table and introduced themselves. Pilar rushed over to her
husband and hugged him closely. But then all the happiness subsided when
Katherine and Martin told the truth to everyone. About how they skipped town
because Alistair had abused her, emotionally and physically. How they got
plastic surgery to change their appearance. Then how they fell in love over
the years and got married. All the Lopez-Fitzgeralds were crying hysterically
Pilar's heart was torn into tiny little pieces as she realized that her husband,
father of her five children, had abandoned her and their children. She went up
to him and slapped him across the face. "You bastard, how could you leave us!?"
Pilar then turned to Katherine, "And you, how dare you take MY husband away from
his wife and children.
Martin and Katherine excused themselves and left the restaurant. "Pilar,
I'm so sorry" Sheridan apologized, tears in her eyes. She never knew that the
truth coming out would've been this bad. Pilar pulled her daughter-in-law into
her arms and hugged her tightly. "There is nothing to be sorry for. You didn't
do anything sweetheart. You're mother is the one who left and abandoned you and
your brother." Everyone, except the Lopez-Fitzgerald's and their mates, left.
They had a nice quiet dinner, Luis got through to his mother, and part of her
forgave Martin because he helped Katherine out. But the other part, well it
could never forgive him because he had sinned a great deal. Running off and
having a hot affair, committing adultery and then becoming a bigamist. She felt
as if she'd been punched in the stomach. After eating dinner, Pilar and Paloma
decided to call it a night and left. The only two couple that were left were
Sheridan and Luis, and fox and Theresa. You guys never got to tell us what the
second announcement was." Fox said, staring at his aunt and her husband. "We're
going to have a baby!" Sheridan exclaimed. Theresa threw her arms around her
sister-in-law and brother. "Hey babe, would you like to dance?" Luis asked his
gorgeous wife. She shook her head and smiled as he led her out to the dance
floor. She wrapped his arms around his neck and he pulled her closer to him as
they swayed to the soft music.

again, threading her fingers through his think, black hair. "Want to leave?" He

rubbed circles on her back as they walked back to their table. They paid, said
goodbye to Fox and Theresa and left. When they got home Luis, so sweet and
loving like always, drew his beautiful wife a bath and made her some tea.
"Ahh..." She sighed as she stepped into the water. "My back has been killing me
all day. Thank you for drawing me a bath, Luis. You're so sweet! Why don't
you come and join me..." She suggested, leaning her head back. "Nah. How about
if I wash you instead. I'll pamper you tonight." He smiled and kneeled on the
bathroom floor and reached for the sponge. He lathered it with soap and ran
it over her back, soothing away all the pain. "Oh Luis, that feel so good. I'm
not even that far along in the pregnancy and my body is starting to ache so
much" Sheridan told him, leaning back so he could wash her front. "I'm sorry,
sweetheart. Whenever you're in pain, just tell me and I'll do everything I can
to make it go away" He kissed her cheek then went to wash her hair. After
bathing, Sheridan walked into the bedroom, ready to get dressed for bed. But
Luis had other plans. He was sitting on the bed with the bottle of massage oil.
"Come on babe, I'm going to give you a nice, long massage" Luis told her,
pulling her gently onto the bed. "Luis, really, you don't have to" "No, I want
to. Now lay on your tummy, please!" She did as she was told and her eyes
fluttered shut as his magic hands worked wonders on her backside.
Chapter 10
The morning sun smiled through the glass doors, awaking
Sheridan from her beautiful dreams. She snuggled deeper into her husband's arms,
careful not to awake him. Sheridan smiled as she felt Luis' hand brush against
her abdomen and wrap his arm around her waist in a secure fashion. Last night
she had dreamed of their child. Their beautiful baby girl. She had big,
sparkling blue eyes like Sheridan and dark hair and dark skin like Luis. She
couldn't wait to hold her child in her arms. All her life she dreamed of this.
Marrying her soul mate, having a baby with that person and living happily ever
after. "What are you grinning about, beautiful?" Luis asked in a sleepy voice.
"Luis, I dreamed of our baby. She was so beautiful!" Sheridan exclaimed, giving
her husband a short kiss. "She? Who says it can't be a boy? Your dream might be
wrong" He chuckled at her excitement.
"No, Luis, I know we're having a girl! Not just because of the dream. It's
a mother's extinct too" "So what did our daughter look like?" "Oh Luis, she was
perfect. A combination of both of us. She had my eyes, your dark hair and
colored skin." "She sounds so beautiful, Sher" He told her, rubbing his wife's
round stomach. "I love you, Luis" "I love you too, Sheridan" "I'm starving,
let's go out for breakfast. I'm in the mood to eat out today" "Alright. I'm just
going to take a quick shower" While Luis went to take a shower, Sheridan stayed
in bed for a little while longer than got up and made the bed. Sheridan opened
her draw and took out her clothes. A pair of boot cut jeans and a Red, 3/4
sleeve shirt. She got dressed and began to read the newspaper, waiting for her
husband to finish getting ready.
After eating a delicious breakfast downtown, they drove around looking at
the houses that were for sale. "Oh Luis, that house at the corner is beautiful!"
It's so big too, let's go check it out" He drove down the street toward the
house Sheridan chose. They went inside and were met by, what they guessed, was
the real estate agent. "Hi, I'm Karen Smith, welcome." The lady smiled brightly,
shaking their hands. "Hi! I'm Sheridan and this is my husband, Luis. We
just started looking for a house." "Nice to meet you both. Well would you like
to look around? I just have some papers to finish down here." "Yes, we'd love
that. Thank you" Sheridan and Luis started in the living room. The room was
fairly large. The walls were painted a light cream color, as were the rest of
the walls in the house. The hard wood floors were beautiful. No scratch marks or
dents. They walked to the next room. The dining room and what cold be a
small fancy parlor. Again the floors were hard wood. The room was extravagant. A
chandelier hung from above the dining room table. There was a sliding door,
which lead to the deck and backyard. The yard was big and would be perfect for
their child and the children that they'd have. They looked at each other and
smiled.
Walking down the hall a little, the kitchen was on the right. It was
beautiful! Green colored tile kitchen tops. A built in stove. Light oak cabinets
above and on the sides of the sink and stove. The last room was the downstairs
bathroom. "Luis, I love it already." "Me too, Sheridan" He took her hand and
they went upstairs. There was a another bathroom. Then there were 3 bedrooms.
The first two were the same size with white carpeted floors. A decent size
though. The room at the end of the hall was the Master bedroom with it's own
bathroom. The room was magnificent, wood floors adorned the floor. Sheridan and
Luis loved the bathroom. It had an exquisite marble sink and marble counter. A
regular toilet. Then when they saw the tub they both looked at each other and
grinned. It was a Jacuzzi tub. "I love this house, Sher!" "Me too, Luis. I think
we're home" She jumped into his arms and held him tightly. He kissed her
passionately. "Come on let's go tell Karen" They practically ran down the
stairs, excitement filling them both. "Karen, we'd like to buy the house" Luis
said quickly, holding onto Sheridan. "Alright. I had a feeling when you two
stepped in here that you wouldn't be leaving without the house being yours" "We
love it here and we want to buy the house as soon as possible" "Alright. Well
you're going to have to come down to my office to fill out forms. Then we have
to see if you're able to get a loan for a down payment, unless you already have
one" "We have one already" Sheridan said. So they left the house and headed to
the Real Estate office.
After filling out so much paperwork the house was officially theirs. They
left and headed home to pack their things. "I can't believe we just bought our
first house, Luis! Do you even realize how happy I am?" "Yes I do. Cause I'm
happy too, sweetheart" When they got home all they wanted to do was jump around
because they we're too excited. "I need to take a nap. See...all the excitement
got me tired! I think our daughter's excited too, Luis" "Yeah no wonder why
she's excited...we finally get to get off this damn estate" "Luis, why do you
always have to start! It's not my fault that my family's a piece of sh!t, is
it!?!" Sheridan exclaimed, going to the bedroom and shutting the door behind
her. But he just opened it and went in. "Hey baby, you know it was suppose to be
a joke, right?" "Luis, that's not the point. Just because they're my family and
we don't get along doesn't mean that I don't care for them. And when our
daughter is born, she WILL have Crane blood running through her. So what you
going to do about that?! Are you going to hold it against her and not love her
because she's a goddamn Crane, just like her mother is" Hurt shone in Luis' eyes
when she said that. "Luis, I'm sorry. It didn't come out the right way, the way
I intended it to come out. Ugh...let's just drop this, ok? I love you and I'm
not going to fight with you because of my family." She hugged him close and
brushed her lips against his. "I love you so very much!" "I love you too and I
apologize for bringing up stuff about your family. I guess old habits die hard"
He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her everywhere. Lips. Cheeks. Tip of
her nose. Neck. "Come on, come lay down with me" She told him, taking his hand
and leading him over to their bed. They laid down and he wrapped his arms around
her and they fell asleep.
Later that day the Lopez-Fitzgerald's gathered at Pilar's for dinner. "Oh
mijo, mija that's wonderful!" Pilar exclaimed, congratulating the couple on
their newly bought house. "Yes Pilar, it is wonderful. Luis and I, we're so
happy!" "Well mama, Fox and I have some exciting news of our own" The petite
girl at the end of the table announced. "What is it, Therasita?" "Mama, Fox
and I are going to have a baby too!" Theresa said happily, hugging Fox's side.
Everyone was ecstatic, everything was going perfect for all the
Lopez-Fitzgerald's right now. Since they were the men, Fox and Luis cut up the
meat, which included a big chicken and a Spanish style ham. Pilar had made some
delicious Spanish rice and beans and Spanish style potatoes. After dinner they
took their coffee and dessert, Crumb Cake, into the living room.
"Theresa, I can't believe we're pregnant together! Do you know how far along you
are?" Sheridan asked, sitting beside her sister-in-law. "I'm about 3 months. So
are babies won't be far apart, unless we go into labor at the same time. But
that'd be totally cool" She said smiling.
"Yeah that would be cool. Have you and Fox decided to get married sooner
than planned?" "We're going to have a small wedding before the baby is born.
Probably just me, Fox, you, Luis and mama. Then after the baby is born we'll
have a big wedding with everyone" "That's sounds great, Theresa. Is Luis going
to walk you down the aisle?" "Yup. There wasn't a doubt in my mind or anything.
Papa hasn't been there for me like Luis has. So I think Luis should have the
privilege of giving me away" "That's really sweet. And yes, Luis has been there
for you more than your father has. I apologize for that. I'm so sorry that it
was my mother who took your father away form you and your siblings. When I think
of everything your family has been through...I just feel so bad and responsible
for my mother's actions" "Sheridan, listen to me...sweetie it's not your fault.
I would never blame you for something your mother did. Never!" "What's matter,
ladies?" Fox asked coming over to them, sensing some sadness. "Nothing,
sweetheart, everything's fine" He leaned down to kiss his fiancé and grinned
against her lips. "Sher, are you ready to go, baby?" Luis called from the
doorway of the kitchen. "Yes. I'm kind of tired again." She yawned softly,
standing up and slipping on her coat. Luis and Sheridan said goodbye to everyone
and headed back to the cottage.
When they got home, Sheridan and Luis changed into their pajamas. Luis
dimmed the lights and popped in A Walk In The Cloud, which was Sheridan and
Luis' favorite romantic movie. "Come on sweetheart, the movie's starting"
"Ugh...sorry. Pregnant women always have to go to the bathroom" She said,
smiling and dropping down beside him on the couch. He wrapped his arms around
her and she cuddled closer. They watched the movie, stealing kisses here and
there when the romantic parts came up. At the end, Sheridan and fallen asleep in
his arms. He carefully got up and shut off the TV then picked up his wife and
carried her to bed. "Love you sweetheart" He kissed her head. "Goodnight sweet
baby" He kissed her stomach. "I love you both so much" Was the last thing he
said before sleep took over him.
Chapter 11
"Luis, this box box goes in our room" She told her husband as she sat down.
Their child was wearing her down today. He or she hadn't stopped kicking her all
morning. "Oww..." She groaned as the baby kicked her again, this time with more
force. "Are you ok, aunt Sheridan" Fox asked, placing the boxes he was carrying
beside the couch. "I'm alright. It's just that the baby hasn't stopped kicking
me all morning. They're punishing me for doing so much stuff around here." She
told he nephew, leaning her head against the back of the couch. "Aunty Sher,
please relax. There's like six men here. We have everything under control. Pilar
and Theresa should be here soon to keep you company. Take it easy, please."
"Alright, I'll take it easy. Maybe I'll just start putting things in the
nursery." "Good, now that isn't too strenuous. I'm going to get back to work. I
love you aunt Sheridan. Please be good" He kissed her cheek and went back to
moving stuff. Sheridan laughed, it was bad enough Luis treated her as an
invalid. But now Fox! She made her way upstairs and into the nursery. The walls
were painted a light cream color. The crib was a light oak, as was the bureau.
The changing table was white. The rocking chair sat in the corner, beside the
window. First she took the newly bought necessities. Aveeno Baby Lotion, Baby
Oil, Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo, Eucerin, Baby Powder and placed all
those items on the bottom rack of the changing table. She folded the baby's
washcloths and placed them in a small basket, which sat on the top shelf. The
bibs(that could eb used for a boy or girl) were placed in another basket.
Sheridan took the onesies out of their packages and folded them up nicely and
put them in the draw.
"Hey baby" Luis said as he sat in the rocking chair, exhausted. "Hi. Luis,
does the room look all right?" She asked, sitting in his lap. Luis wrapped his
arms around her and entwined their fingers. Books were stacked side by side on a
small shelf above the bureau. The diaper geney was beside the changing table. A
couple of stuffed animals were on the floor, fixed in a nice fashion. The only
thing that really needed to be done was buy the padding, sheets and blankets for
the crib. And that would be after they found out the sex of the baby. "Sheridan,
it's perfect." He smiled and kissed her. They sighed, pulling apart, their
foreheads touching. "Thank you. Let me guess, there's boxes everywhere in the
living room, huh?" "No there isn't. There's maybe like two or three boxes, but
we can fix that tomorrow. Our bedroom is all set. The beds set up, so is
the bureaus and night stands. But the boxes with our clothes in them are still
full. But we'll take care of that tomorrow too" "I'm so tired and I hardly did
anything today." "I think we should go to bed and get some rest. We've had a
very long day" "Yes we have. Plus we have to get up early. My appointments at 9"
Sheridan told him, getting off from his lap. She took his hand and they walked
hand-in-hand to their bedroom. Luis stripped down to his boxers and climbed into
bed. Sheridan went to the bathroom and undressed. She slipped on her tank top
and shorts. When she walked back into her room he noticed that her husband as
already asleep. "So much for a goodnight kiss" She mumbled, laying beside him.
She smiled to herself as she felt his arm come around her. "I love you
sweetheart" He whispered in her ear. "I love you too, Luis" With their fingers
laced together they fell asleep.
The next morning was delightful. The sun was out and the birds were
chirping loudly. Sheridan got out of bed and went and stood by the glass window.
She loved Spring, she always had. it wasn't too hot and it wasn't too cold. It
was just perfect for her. "Good morning" She heard Luis call from the bed. "It
is a good morning" She grinned, sitting on the bed. He opened up his arms for
her and she came. "I love our new house, Luis. It' so peaceful and quiet in this
neighborhood" She smiled against his chest. "Yeah, I know. It's 8:10, I think we
should get up and start getting ready." Sheridan went to go take a shower while
Luis went down stairs to make her an egg sandwich. When Sheridan was done she
got dressed and ate while Luis went to take a shower and get dressed. They left
the house and headed to Sheridan's OBGYN.
"
Alright Sheridan, Luis, you ready to find out the sex?" The doctor asked.
"Yes" They replied simultaneously The middle-aged woman squirted some gel on
Sheridan's tummy. "Oooh It's cold" Sheridan mumbled. The redhead turned the
monitor on and began to do an ultrasound. "Well...Look at that. Ten fingers
and all ten Joes Here's the arms and the legs" Doctor Reynolds said smiling,
pointing to everything "Oh Luis, that's our baby" Sheridans' eyes began to
tear up. "I know babe. I can't believe our love created that" Luis grinned,
kissing his wife. "You sure you want to know the sex of your child?" Reynolds
cracked a small smile, obviously joking. "Yes we do. We've been waiting for
seven months already! What are we having doctor?" "It's a girl!" She exclaimed
joyfully. "Oh my god we're having a girl!" Luis exclaimed, kissing his wife's
lips. "A girl. A Little girl. Oh my g*d I can’t believe this" Luis was so
overjoyed that he did a little dance around the room. The doctor and Sheridan
giggled softly, their laughter catching Luis' attention.
"What? Can't a guy be happy that he's having a little girl with the woman
he loves?" The doctor wiped the gel off Sheridan's tummy as Luis sat back down.
"I love you, Luis. You've made me so happy" She placed her hand on his cheek and
they shared a sweet moment. "Alright. Well I guess I will be seeing you two next
month for another appointment. Just go to the front desk and schedule one. Oh,
by the way here's your daughter's pictures" The doctor handed Luis two
sonograms. "Thank you so much doctor Reynolds" Sheridan said, stepping down from
the table. "Oksee you two soon. Bye now" The doctor left the room so Sheridan
could get dressed. She leaped into her husband's arm and hugged him tight. "Now
we have to get a bib and a shirt that either say Daddy's Little Princess or
Daddy's Little Girl" Se old him. "Yeah we do. Hey well now we can buy everything
else we need." "Yes, I didn't even think of that. well let me finish getting
dressed and then we can go shopping"
"Oh Luis, this is beautiful!" Sheridan told him, holding up a sailor dress,
with a matching hat. "Yes, that is cute, sweetheart. Look at this, it's for when
she gets out of the bath" He held up a baby robe which was yellow and had
yellow on it. "Ah hah, now here's what I've been looking for!" Exclaimed a
happy Sheridan. "What did you find?" Sheridan held up a white shirt, with pink
lettering, and a pink crown that said Daddy's Little Princess. Luis
grinned at her as they picked out more stuff. "Luis, what should we get for the
crib?" "Well let's see what they have." They arrived at another section of the
store and noticed they didn't have much to choose from. "Well we could always
get that pink and white over there" Luis suggested. "That's pretty. I like it,
do you?" "Yes. Alright let's get the sheets, blanket, and padding.
Later that day when they got home after a couple of long hours shopping
they collapsed on the couch side by side. They were both exhausted. "I didn't
know shopping for a baby would be so hard! I thought that the tiredness would've
came after she was born" Sheridan chuckled at what her husband had just said.
"Luis, come on it wasn't that hard." "I know, but it was pretty tiring. You
wanna know something baby?" "What" She asked, cuddling close to him. "Now we
know the sex, I think we should think of a name. Don't you think?" He asked,
looking down at her. "Yes, definitely How about Jessica?" "Hmm...Jessica
Lopez-Fitzgerald. No, it doesn’t sound right. How about Paige?" "No! I've always
disliked that name for some reason. How about Felicia?" "Nah. That's the name of
one of my ex girlfriends. That's definitely out. How about Alexandria Marie
Lopez-Fitzgerald?" "Oh Luis, it sounds perfect. Do you want your name to be
Alexandria Marie Lopez-Fitzgerald?" She asked her daughter and got a couple of
kicks. "I think she likes her new name" Sheridan said, caressing her swollen
tummy. For now, Sheridan and Luis' world was good. Nothing could destroy the
happiness they felt at that moment.
Chapter 12
Luis and Sheridan were in their house cooking dinner. Sheridan was setting
the table while Luis was finishing cooking. As Sheridan placed the two
drinking glasses on the table a pain shot through her and she grasped her
stomach tightly. "Luis, I think it's time" She cried, reaching for
him. Luis shut of the stove and held her up as more pain was inflicted
in her body. "Alright, let's go to the hospital" Luis grabbed Sheridan's
hospital bag that was sitting beside the staircase and helped her out to the
car. Sheridan was a little early. She was only 33 weeks pregnant, which was only
a little over 8 months. "Ahh...Luis, it's hurts so bad!" She screamed and he
pushed his foot on the gas, making the speed of the car excell. Breathe
sweetheart, hee hee hoo hoo..." He tried to coach her as best as he could, just
like they had learned in lamaze class last week. "Luis, f*cking screw the
breathing sh!t!!!
D@mn you, you did
this to me!!! You're such an @sshole, I hate you!!!" Sheridan yelled, holding
her stomach as more contractions hit. Finally, after the longest ride, they
arrived in one piece at Harmony Hospital. Luis helped his wife out of the car
and they practically ran to the maternity floor. "Nurse, my wife is in labor.
Get a doctor, please!" Luis shrieked, sighing in relief as he saw the doctor
walk to them. "How far are your contractions?" The doctor asked. "I don't know.
Maybe 5 minutes apart."
Sheridan was sitting in the hospital bed of her hospital room. Her husband
was sitting beside her, looking like he was going to pass out any minute.
"Alright baby, here comes another contraction" Luis said softly.
"Ahhh...Ahhh...Luis, make it stop. Please!!!" "Luis, I can't have our daughter.
This hurts so bad" Doctor Stanford walked in a couple of hours later and happily
greeted them with a big smile. "Almost ready, Sheridan?" The doctor chuckled at
the look Sheridan gave her. "When can I have the
d@mn drugs??!!" "Ha ha...you are too funny
Mrs.Lopez-Fitzgerald. Let me check and see how far you are dilated." The doctor
checked and looked back at the couple. "You are only dilated 7 centimeters." She
told Sheridan and Luis then went over to check what was wrong with the
baby. "Your daughter looks like she is in distress. If you don't dilate
anymore within the next half hour we're going to do a C-Section. Well first, I
think I'll do a sonogram. I have a feeling that something isn't right." "Is our
baby in danger, doctor?" Sheridan asked. "I don't know yet. Let me just do a
quick sonogram then we'll know" Doctor Stanford pulled out the machine and
checked Sheridan. "Luis, Sheridan, please don't get nervous. The biblical cord
has gotten wrapped around the baby's neck. We're going to have to do an
emergency cesarian" "Oh my god, no! Our baby Luis,our poor baby." Sheridan
cried.
Sheridan was wheeled to the operating room while Luis was getting scrubbed
up. Luis sat down in the stool beside his wife. "Hey, it's going to be ok,
sweetheart. Alexandria is going to be fine" He pressed a kiss on her lips and
they waited until they heard the soft wailing of their baby. Sheridan and Luis
looked into each others eyes and began crying tears of joy. "Luis, would you
like to cut the cord" Luis cut the cord and grinned as he took in the sight of
his beautiful daughter. She had bushy brown hair and olive skin. Her eyes were
still closed but he had a feeling that behind those eyelids were the color blue.
The nurses cleaned of their daughter and wrapped her up in a warm, fuzzy, pink
blanket. The nurse handed Alexandria to him and he grinned down at her. "Hi baby
girl. I'm your daddy" Luis couldn't control the tears that were flowing. He
placed their daughter in his wife's arms. "Oh Luis, she's beautiful!" Sheridan
exclaimed, kissing her husband soundly on his lips."I love you so much, Sher"
"And I love you. Luis, our families are out in the waiting room. Go get your
parents and my mother." "Alright, babe, I'll be back in a flash" Luis said,
kissing both of his girls he skipped happily to the waiting room.
"Oh Sheridan, congratulations!" Katherine exclaimed, hugging her daughter.
She smiled down at the beautiful infant Sheridan held in her arms. Alexandria
chose that moment to open up her tiny eyes. Luis grinned as he looked into his
daughters eyes. They were replicas of Sheridan's. "Here mom, hold her" Sheridan
handed her little girl to her mother. "I knew she was going to be born with blue
eyes, Sher." "Oh you did, did you?" Sheridan smiled brightly as she watched her
daughter interact with Katherine. "Yes I did, beautiful" Luis announced proudly
and kissed his wife's soft lips. "Where are your parents?" Sheridan asked her
husband. "They're coming in when Katherine leaves. My mother didn't want to be
in the same room as her" Katherine handed Alexandria to her daughter and walked
out. Martin and Pilar walked into the room hand in hand. "hey mama, papa. Look
at our daughter. She's gorgeous" Luis handed his little girl over to his father.
"Oh mijo, she is gorgeous. Congratulations you two" Pilar hugged her son and
kissed Sheridan's cheek. "Oh mija, look at your little girl. She's so precious!
And look at those piercing blue eyes. "Thank you Pilar. Yes, she is very
precious." Sheridan said, silently wishing her father weren't such an @ss and
that he could be here. Damn, why can't he just change. Julian has, Sheridan
thought. "Well we're going to let Julian come in with Ethan and Theresa"
"Oh let me at her. Where's my beautiful niece" Theresa squealed excitedly as she
walked through the door.
As Theresa and Fox left the room, Sheridan stopped them. "Hey you guys wait
a minute. Luis and I want to talk to you" Sheridan called. "What's up?" Ethan
asked, sitting in a chair beside Sheridan's bed. He pulled Theresa down into his
lap. "What's going on with you two? Are you back together?" Luis asked,
wrapping his arm around Sheridan, as the bed shifted to accommodate his weight.
"Well?" Sheridan asked. "We are back together. Gwen was nothing but a
manipulative b!tch! She used her pregnancy to get me back last year and I was
noble and married her. But now I realize she was just evil. Everything that went
down with Theresa and I was done out of love. And now I know that" "I'm so happy
for you guys. Luis and I have something to ask you both" "What is it?" Theresa
asked with a curious, but happy, smile. Sheridan looked over at Luis and their
eyes met. She nodded her head and grinned. "Sheridan and I would love for you
two to be the godparents of Alexandria" Luis told them. "We'd love to!" Theresa
exclaimed, jumping up and hugging her brother and his wife. "Yeah, we'd be
honored. Thank you so much for asking us" Ethan said and hugged both Luis and
Sheridan. Sheridan and Luis enjoyed the rest of the night with their little girl
and her godparents.
Chapter 13
The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks interrupted her
daze. "Mommy's sorry, sweetheart. I didn't mean to ignore you" She whispered
looking down at her 7 month old child. The baby just smiled up at her
mother. "Hi Sheridan" Theresa called from behind her. "Hi, Theresa" Sheridan
said, trying her best to smile. She turned her head back to the ocean. "how are
you holding up?" Sheridan just looked at her blankly. "How can you even ask
that?" She snapped, tears starting to form. The pain was fresh, as were the
tears. Her heart was broken into so many pieces. "I'm truly sorry, Sheridan. I
didn't mean to be an @ss" Theresa apologized quickly, picking up her niece from
her stroller. "It's not your fault. I know your loyalty is to your brother, you
don't have to pretend to care. I just don't know how things got this way..." She
drifted off into the last couple of days.
------3 days ago(Tuesday)------
"Hi babe" Luis greeted her at the door with a kiss. "Hi" Sheriedn replied.
She could smell the liquor on him and she didn't like it. His drinking had
gotten outrageous these past few days. Everynight after work he'd go to the pool
hall for an hour or two and come home smelling like Vodka or Tequila. This
wasn't her Luis, it was like it was someone else. "So where's our daughter?" He
asked, throwing his jacket on the couch. "She's with your mother still. Pilar
said she'd drop Alexandria home tomorrow morning." "What the hell does my mother
look like?! A goddamn babysitter!" Luis snapped and Sheridan backed away. "Whoa,
I don't know who the hell you are anymore. And I don't know who the hell you
think you're talking to! What the hell is up with you? Alexandria always sleeps
over there. Pilar loves spending time with her granddaughter." Sheridan just
looked at him. "Hey babe, you know I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you. Come
here, I love you" Luis laced their fingers together and brought her close to
him. He kissed her slowly. Something was definitely off! Something just didn't
seem right, Sheridan thought as she kissed him back. She felt as if she were
kissing someone other than her husband. Luis felt like a different person, but
she didn't know why. Sheridan's thoughts were interrupted by Luis' words, "Have
you cooked my dinner yet?" He asked in a grumpy, rude voice. "No, I thought
we could make dinner together. Just like we use to before we had a
baby" Sheridan suggested sweetly, wrapping his arms around him from behind. "No,
just cook dinner on your own tonight" He replied angrily and stormed off to take
a shower
------Back to Present---------
"Sheridan, I'm really sorry. Even though my loyalty is suppose to be to my
brother, it isn't." Theresa paused, and Sheridan looked at her, "I saw the
changes and I never asked him what was going on. As you said, he seemed like a
completely different person. I noticed it too and I should've said something.
Wait...do you think something happened with Luis and maybe a criminal they
recently got released from prison. Maybe the criminal wanted payback. And the
payback was to either kill or kidnap you or Alexandria? Maybe Luis was
pushing you away so you wouldn't get hurt. I know my brother and he loves you so
much. Way too much to just push you away for no reason. Everything sounds so
fishy" Theresa said, explaining her theory on the situation. "Is he staying with
your mother right now?" Sheridan asked. "Yeah right! Mama didn't let him step
one foot in that house. He's not welcomed there until you two are back together
and he has a BIG explanation for her, and you" The younger woman said,
emphasizing the word big. "I hope your mother doesn't think she has to be loyal
to me. Luis is her son, no matter what." Sheridan held her arms open for her
daughter and Alexandria came willingly carrying smiles of joy. "Sheridan, mama
and I think alike. We share the same theory. Her loyalty is to you because her
son was the bad guy, not you. She loves you so much, ever since you were a
little girl she always has thought of you as one of her own." "I know
that, Theresa. Look I better get going, it's getting kinda chilly and I don't
need Alexandria catching a cold." "Alright, I'll call you tomorrow. I love you
both, take care of yourself and my goddaughter. Ok? If you need anything you
call ok, I don't care what time it is" Theresa told her, hugging her and kissing
her niece's cheek.
Sheridan strolled on the wharf pushing the baby carriage. "If only people
knew the other reason I kicked Luis out" She mumbled to herself. Just the
thought of what Luis did made her want to vomit. Now, he was such a pig! He was
no better than Alistair.
----Yesterday(Thursday)-----
Sheridan walked into the Book Café in a
giddy, cheery mood. "Hi Liza, can you just get me the usual. I need to use the
ladies room" Sheridan requested. "Sure thing, Sheridan" Sheridan walked into the
ladies room, which held 3 stalls. Two regular, 1 handicap. "Ohh...Yeah baby,
like that" She heard a woman moan. She immediately felt embarrassed and held in
a giggle. Oh golly, she the thought as she hurried and did her business. When
done, she wash her hands and while drying them she held in her sobs. Out walked
Beth AND her husband from the handicap stall. Luis stared at her, Beth just
walked out. Sheridan raised her damp hand and slapped him in the cheek. Sheridan
started bawling her eyes out. Luis grabbed her wrist. "You little b!tch, how
dare you slap me!" He exclaimed and raised his hand to slap her back. And he
succeeded. All of a sudden he was kneeling down in pain. She had kicked him
in the private area and she ran out of the coffee shop. Tears ran down her
cheeks as she started up her convertible and drove away. What had she done to
make her husband go out and have an affair, in public- no less, with the one
woman she despised. AND after that he had hit her. Luis was a terrible monster.
Something was definitely up.
----Back to Present-------
Sheridan let the tears stream down her face. There was no use wiping them
away if more were just going to fall. When Sheridan arrived in front of her
house she parked the car in the driveway and noticed the police cruiser siting
in front of the house. She unbuckled Alexandria from her car seat and
picked it up. Sheridan was walking up the driveway when she was stopped.
"Sheridan Lopez-Fitzgerald?" The police officer asked. "Yes, can I help
you officer?" She asked. He handed her a manilla envelope. "You've been
served" He announced and walked off. Wait..were these divorce papers?
She wanted to cry out in anger. When she got inside the house she threw the
envelope on the table. "Come on sweetie pie, let's get you a bottle so you
can go down for your nap." After warming up a bottle for Alexandria, Sheridan
changed her, fed her and put her down for a much needed nap. Sheridan sat on the
couch and opened the folder. Divorce Papers and...No! Oh god no! Custody papers.
Luis was going to try and take her daughter from her. "Damn him to hell!" She
mumbled, grabbing the cordless phone that was sitting on the end table. She
dialed the seven digits quickly. "Hello?" "Theresa, I just got served" "With
what? Divorce papers?" her sister-in-law asked. "Yeah...and custody papers. He
wants my daughter! How dare he do this!" Sheridan was so pissed she could've
killed Luis at that moment. "Sherian, calm down. Do you want to talk to Ethan?
He came home from lunch and he standing right here." "Yes, please put him on the
phone" "Hey Sher, I'm truly sorry." "Ethan, it's ok. How long do I have before I
have to sign divorce papers?" "In Maine, they give you 2 weeks max to sign
them and then we go to court. But if you need longer, because of a certain
reason, we go to the district court and request for more time.
"I might need more than 2 weeks. Ethan, I think that something
happened to Luis. I mean my Luis. I think maybe the Luis I've been living with
for the past couple of days is an impostor or something. Maybe Alistair had
something to do with it. That motha f*kker is capable of anything and
everything! What should I do now?" Sheridan asked Ethan, trying to think of a
plan herself. "Before we discuss anything else we need to meet up in person. Can
you meet me at the Harmony Pizza Parlor tonight at 5?" He asked and she agreed.
"Thank you so much Ethan. Did I ever tell you that I love you" He just chuckled
and replied, "Yes, many times. I love you too. I'll see you two ladies tonight
at 5 sharp. Buh bye" "Bye" Sheridan walked upstairs and laid on the bed."Luis,
how could you do this to me?! To us!?" She asked out loud. She started to cry,
wishing the old Luis were here to wrap his loving arms around her and hold her.
But that wasn't going to happen! Sheridan had to start acting like this was a
nightmare, because this was reality. Sheridan closed her eyes and took a short
nap.
Alexandria's whimpering awoke Sheridan from her slumber. "Hold on
sweetheart, mommy's coming." Sheridan called, walking to her daughters room. "Hi
sweetheart, don't cry. Mommy is here" Sheridan told her daughter, picking her up
from the crib. Sheridan soothed Alex by rubbing little circles on her tiny back.
She changed the baby's diaper quickly. Then Sheridan went downstairs to the
kitchen. Looking at the time, she was pleased. Her little girl had slept almost
2 1/2 hours. Sheridan was pleased because usually her daughter only slept 1
hour or 1 1/2. Sheridan got ready to go to the pizza parlor. She placed
Alexnadria in her walked and went to pack some thing to put in the diaper bag.
After she was done, Sheridan picked up her daughter from the walker and they
headed to the Harmony Pizza Parlor.
"Ethan! Theresa!" Called Sheridan, from the booth as the couple
entered the door. "Hi Sheridan" They both greeted with smiles. "Hi sweetheart"
Theresa cooed to her niece, picking her up from Sheridan's arms. Theresa
gave Alexandria little kisses everywhere. Alexandria starting laughing, her eyes
lighting up, her face turning a light red as Theresa tickled her tiny tummy. "So
what's up, Ethan. What should we do?" "Sherian, I didn't want to talk over the
phone just in case it was bugged. Look I have a small plan, hopefully it will
work..." He told Sheridan. "Before you start things, I'm going to go up and
order us a pizza. Sheridan what kind of pizza would you like?" "Doesn't matter,
Theresa, I like everything" Shridan said, turning her attention back to Ethan.
"So, what's the plan, sweetie?" "Alistair is supposedly coming to
Harmony tomorrow. If we can get Fox and Julian to help, they can tap the
phone. I'll get a tracking device and I'll have Fox tap Alistair's phone. Then
we can see who he calls and if anything concerns Luis and what happened to him."
Ethan explained, just as Theresa walked back with the baby in her arms. "I love
it! Only one more day. But we have to contact Fox and Julian about the plan
tonight. The device should be installed tonight since we don't know what time
he's arriving." Sheridan said, making a point.
After meeting with his aunt and Ethan, Fox agreed to help in the plan. He
turned the flashlight on and stepped into the pitch black room. He crawled on
his knees over to the desk and planted the tracking device. Fox didn't want the
room light on because who knew, there could be hidden cameras in there. He
quickly exited the room and headed up the stairs. "Dad, it's done. I'm going to
bed now. Goodnight" Fox said, walking by his father's bedroom. "Alright, thanks
son. Goodnight" Julian smiled and watched as his son went to his room. He turned
back to his book and continued reading. Fox threw back the covers and laid down.
He said a silent prayer, praying that everything would turn around tomorrow for
his aunt Sheridan and her husband. Fox closed his eyes and fell
asleep.
