PROLOGUE:
Gillian Andrassy looked out of the plane's window with a sad look. She
didn'
t want to leave but she had to. it was the only way everyone could be
happy.
Gillian sighed as she remembered the past few months. After her husband
Jake
Martin had left town after finding out she lied to him, Gillian had
realized
she was actually still in love with her ex-husband Ryan Lavary and the
two
of them began to secretly see each other and they where finally happy,
until
Jake come back. They had tried to keep it a secret, waiting for the
right
time to tell him but he had caught them. Tears started to form in
Gillian's
eyes as she remembered the look on Jake's face when he caught them
together.
After that Gillian couldn't bear the thought of running in to Jake
anywhere
in the small town. So she did the only thing she could. she left. She
packed
up her things and booked at first flight out of Pine Valley. Only Three
people knew she was leaving, her Grandmother and her two cousins. She
didn't
tell Ryan, she wrote him a note telling him she couldn't stay there and
she
knew in time she would probably wind up hurting him like she did in the
past
and to Jake. Gillian remembered they day her and Ryan got back
together.
Gillian: Ryan, how can you love me after everything I've done to you?
Ryan: I don't care about that, Gillian. It doesn't matter. All I want
is to
hear what you wrote in the journal -- the last entry.
Gillian: Oh. Yeah, the last one.
Ryan: It's three --- three lines long. I memorized it. But I need to
hear
you say it. I need to hear your voice say it out loud.
Gillian: Well -- it's addressed to you, so --
Ryan: So tell me.
Gillian: I wrote, "Ryan, I love you. I have never stopped loving you.
And I
will love you --"
Ryan: "I will love you --"
Gillian and Ryan: "Until the day I die."
As the captains voice came over the loud speaker Gillian was openly
crying.
"We are beginning our decent and should arrive in Harmony in
approximately
15 minutes."
Chapter 1:
Gillian paid the cab driver and grabbed her bags. Slowly she walked
toward
the large gates and pressed the button on the side.
"Yes?" A male voice asked.
"I'm here to see Sheridan Crane.. Tell her it's Gillian Andrassy."
"One moment."
Gillian stood there and looked through the gates toward the Crane
estate.
After waiting for a few minutes the gates opened and she was told to go
around back to the cottage. Gillian walked toward the cottage trying to
remember where it was. She had spent one summer here when she was
fifteen
years old. She finally found it and walked toward it. As she raised her
hand
to knock the door flew open and Sheridan stood there.
"Gilli. Oh my god I can't believe it's you!"
Gillian smiled. "It's been a long time Sherry." Gillian told her.
Sheridan
and Gillian had known each other since they where ten. There fathers
where
good friends and their families often traveled together. Sheridan's
father,
Alistar Crane was considered "American Royalty" and Gillian's family
was
Hungarian Royalty making Gillian, Princess Andrassy. The two girls
attend
boarding school together and had always been the best of friends. But
when
Gillian came to America after her father gambled away their money,
Sheridan
and her lost touch.
"Come in." Sheridan said stepping away from the door. Gillian entered
the
cottage and looked around.
"It's the same as it was ten years ago." Gillian remarked.
"I know. It's the one place I call home." Sheridan told her.
"How have you been Gillian?" Sheridan asked as they sat down on the
sofa.
Gillian sighed thinking back to why she left Pine Valley. "Okay I
guess."
Sheridan noticed the sadness in Gillian's voice. "What happened Gilli?"
"A lot has happened in the past three years, it could take a while."
"I have the time" Sheridan told her.
Gillian explained everything to Sheridan. How she married Ryan to
prevent
getting deported and ended up falling in love with him, why they got
divorced and how she met Jake and married him for all the wrong
reasons. And
what had just happened between her Jake and Ryan.
When she was done she
had
tears streaming down her face.
"Shhh, its okay Gillian." Sheridan said trying to comfort her.
Gillian took a deep breath. "What about you Sheridan, What's happened
in
your life?"
"Well, the last three years have also been filled with unhappiness."
Sheridan explained to Gillian about Jean-Luc and all the others using
her
and all the ups and downs of her relationship with Luis. She also told
her
about the French hitmen hired to kill her and how they had just been
caught.
"Wow, we've both been through a lot."
"I know, sometimes I wish we could go back to being the two carefree
girls
in boarding school."
Gillian smiled. "The ones who where always getting in trouble."
Sheridan laughed. "Yeah those ones."
"So where are you staying?"
"I don't know, are there any good hotels around here?"
"Hotel? No way. Gillian you're staying here with me.
I'll have a room
in the
main house made up."
"I couldn't burden you like that."
"Burden? That's crazy. Julian and Ivy have always considered you like
family
and Ethan thinks of you like a sister."
Gillian smiled. "Okay If you promise I won't be in the way."
"Great. Let me call the main house and let them know."
A few minutes later Sheridan hung up the phone. "Ivy says she's
delighted
you're here and she'll have the guest room made up for you right away."
"Thanks Sheridan. For everything."
"Anytime. I have an Idea. Why don't we call Ethan and ask him and his
girlfriend to join us for dinner at the Lobster Shack?"
"Sure. Is he still dating Gwen?"
"No.. it's a long story but Ethan ended up saying Theresa's name at the
wedding and they broke up. Now him and Theresa are together."
"Well as long as he's happy."
"He is."
"What about you Sheridan? Are you in love with that cop you where
telling me
about?"
"Luis?" Sheridan asked sadly. "There's no future for us. He was using
me
just like the rest of them."
"I didn't ask if you had a future with him, I asked if you where in
love
with him."
"Honestly yes I am in love with him and I am trying my hardest to get
over
him."
"Well then why not try and make it work?" Gillian asked Sheridan.
"Because he has no feelings for me what so ever so it doesn't matter."
"Anyway Let's go to dinner. enough about Luis Lopez-Fitgerald.

Chapter 2:
*~* Setting Pine Valley *~*
"Where is she?" Ryan Lavery yelled as he entered Wildwind's living
room.
Dimitri Merrik, Gillian's cousin and Eugenia Andrassy her Grandmother
looked
up with a start.
"Ryan."
"Dimitri where is Gillian?" Ryan asked again.
"Ryan she asked that we not tell you." Dimitri told him.
"Dimitri, Duchess when Gillian and I first got married we fought like
crazy
trying to deny our attraction for each other. But you both saw through
it
and kept trying to get us together. When we were finally together you
where
both happy for us and then when we split up you did everything in your
power
to get us back together. You have to understand I have lost Gillian
once
already, I am not going to lose her again.
Gillian Andrassy is the love
of
my life. Without her I am nothing and have no reason to live. You have
got
to help me."
"What did she say in her letter Ryan?" Eugenia asked.
"She said that she knew that in time she would end up hurting me like
she
did to Jake and she didn't want that to happen. "
Dimitri looked at Eugenia who nodded. "She's in Harmony visiting a
friend
named Sheridan Crane. Go pack your bags I'll have the jet fueled up and
make
arrangements for you." Dimitri told him.
"Thank you so much." Ryan said as he ran out the front door.
Once he was gone Eugenia turned to face Dimitri. "What made you tell
him?"
She asked.
"When Ryan was taking about Gillian being his one true love I knew he
really
meant it. Those two have been through so much together and they deserve
happiness. with each other.
When Gillian first came to Pine Valley she
was a
stuck up snob who played with peoples minds and hearts. She was rude
and
used everyone. Because of Ryan she changed into a better person. It was
her
love for Ryan that made her become what she is today. I will do
everything
in my power to make sure Gillian is happy and it's Ryan who makes her
happy.
That's why I told him where she was.
Eugenia smiled. "You know she thinks of you like a father."
Dimitri smiled. "And I think of her as a daughter."
"I really hope they work everything out." Dimitri said as he went to
make
all the travel arrangements.
*~* Setting Harmony *~*
"That was wonderful." Gillian said as she finished her lobster.
"I know, This is one of the best restaurants in town." Theresa told
her.
"Gillian I've noticed something about you." Ethan said as the waiter
cleared
away their plates.
"What?" Gillian asked with a smile.
"You've changed a lot."
"What do you mean?"
"Well you have always been sort-of a . um.."
"A spoiled snob who thought she was better then anyone else?" Gillian
supplied for him.
"Yeah that's it. But you've changed."
Gillian smiled. "Love can do that to a person. When I married Ryan it
was to
get my green card. He was broke and I was broke. We hated each other.
All we
did was fight. He even tossed me in to a cold shower once.
But deep
down we
where attracted to each other and kept fighting that attraction. But in
the
end we ended up falling in love."
Ethan smiled and looked at Sheridan. "Hmm, sounds very familiar doesn't
Sheridan?" He asked.
"What does?"
"The whole concept of hating each other and fighting all the time but
really
being attracted to each other and ending up together."
"Ethan. This really isn't the time.." Sheridan began.
"I'm going to the washroom, Gillian are you coming?" Theresa asked.
"Sure."
The two girls got up and left Ethan and Sheridan arguing over Luis.
Once
they where in the bathroom Theresa turned to face Gillian.
"Luis and Sheridan are destined to be together. You have to help me get
them
back together."
"I don't know. I really don't want to pry into her business."
"Gillian, I know my brother, he is so in love with Sheridan. He's
miserable
without her."
"And she's miserable without him."
"Exactly. We have to do something."
"Okay here's the plan." Gillian said as she told Theresa how they where
going to get Luis and Sheridan back together.

Chapter 3:
The Next Day
Gillian looked around the unfilmiller Book Café, looking for Theresa.
She
spotted the girl sitting in an over stuffed chair reading the newest
edition
of Cosmopolitan. Gillian made her way through the crowd of people and
sat
down next to her.
"Hey Theresa."
"Gillian, Hi. Did you have trouble finding the place?"
"No."
"Good. Does Sheridan know you're here?"
"No, I told her I'd just wander around town for a while and meet up
with her
later."
"I told Ethan what we were planning and he's gonna help."
"Great. So now all we have to do is decided how to get them back
together."
"Exactly, but we have to do it before the dance." Theresa said with a
smile.
"Dance?" Gillian questioned.
"Yeah, there is a dance at the youth center this Saturday night."
"Saturday, that gives us four days."
"So what should we do?" Theresa asked.
"Well, why did they break up in the first place. I mean I know he was
using
her or something."
"Ethan told me that Sheridan heard Luis on the docks one night telling
someone how he intended to use 'The rich Sheridan Crane' for his on
gain and
how he had no feelings whatsoever for her."
"Did you ask your brother about it?" Gillian asked.
"No, he refuses to talk about Sheridan. Luis hates the Cranes, he
thinks
their responsible for our fathers disappearance."
"Then how does he feel about you and Ethan?"
"He hates the idea, but I'm 18 years old so he really can't do anything
about it."
"I see. Theresa, do you think that Luis would use Sheridan like that?"
"Never. I know my brother.. he's the most caring person in the world.
"Never. I know my brother.. he's the most caring person in the world.
The
last thing he would ever do would be using anyone. Look at this."
Theresa
said handing Gillian a picture.
"What is this?" She asked.
"This is a picture of Luis and Sheridan. They look so happy. And do you
notice the way my brother is looking at her? Judging by the look on his
face
there is no way he was using her."
"Then maybe he wasn't."
"What do you mean?" Theresa asked puzzled.
"Did Sheridan's father and brother approve of their relationship?"
"No, they even tried to bribe Luis to leave town. Oh my god Gillian
you're a
genius."
"No, I just know they way Alistar and Julian are." Gillian told her.
"Then how are you going to prove it?"
"Ivy."
"Ivy? What do you mean?"
"Well, Ivy must know what Julian and Alistar plotted."
"But what if Ivy doesn't know or won't help?"
"Then I'll have to get the information right from the source. Julian
Crane
himself." Gillian said.
Grace's Bed and Breakfast
Ryan glanced around the cozy-looking bed and breakfast with a smile on
his
face.
"May I help you?" A girl around 16 asked him.
"I'm Ryan Lavery, I have a reservation."
"Of course, I'm Kay Bennett, the owners daughter. Just fill out this
form
please." Kay said handing him a sheet.
After he was done, he handed it back to her.
"Follow me." Kay said leading him to his room. Once they where there
Kay
turned to face him.
"Is there anything else I can help you with she asked?"
"Actually there is. I'm here looking for someone. a woman by the name
of
Gillian Andrassy. Do you by any chance know if she's staying here."
Kay smiled. "No she's not staying here, she's staying at the Crane
estate."
"Crane, why does that sound familiar?" Ryan asked.
"The Cranes are one of the richest families in the States, they own
almost
everything here. Apparently, that girl Gillian is a friend of
Sheridan's and
she's staying there."
"How do you know all this?"
"It's a really small town, news travels fast." Kay said with a smile.
"I see."
"She'll probably be at the dance this Saturday."
"What do you mean?"
"There's a dance at the town youth center on Saturday at 7:00PM,
Sheridan
will be there so Gillian probably will be too."
Ryan's face broke out into a huge smile. "Thanks Kay, for all your
help."
Once Ryan was alone in his room, he began to think of the perfect way
to
show Gillian just how much he loved her.

Chapter 4:
The Crane Estate
Gillian entered the living room and looked around. Just as she had
thought
Ivy was sitting at the desk talking on the phone. Gillian quietly
slipped
into the room and sat down waiting for her to finish. Ivy looked at her
and
smiled.
"One Minute." She mouthed to Gillian.
After Ivy was done, she came over and hugged Gillian.
"It's been so long. How have you been?" She asked.
"I'm good. what about you?"
"Wonderful." Ivy lied. Gillian could tell the other woman was lying but
decided not to press the issue.
"Ivy, I was wondering if you could help me with something."
"Anything dear. just name it."
"Fill me in on what happened between Luis and Sheridan."
"He was using her, she found out end of story."
Gillian raised her eyebrow at Ivy. "Come on Ivy, you and I both know
there
is more to that story."
"What are you talking about?" Ivy asked beginning to get nervous.
"You tell me."
"Gillian, I really don't have the slightest clue about what you're
talking
about."
"Tell me Ivy, does Julian know that another man's picture is in your
locket?"
Ivy's face turned white. "Locket. how did you. how did you know?"
"I spent a whole summer here Ivy. Once you left it on the living room
desk
and I opened it. I saw the picture."
"Gillian I can explain. You see."
Gillian held up a hand to stop her. "There is no need to explain about
the
locket. I haven't told anyone and promise not to. All I want to know is
what
happened between Luis and Sheridan."
Ivy sighed. "Julian is away for the day. So if you happened to go into
his
office and look in the top door on the left hand side he would never
know."
Gillian smiled. "Thank you Ivy, we never had this conversation."
Ivy shook her head. "You're turning more and more like me."
"I'll take that as a compliment." Gillian said as she headed toward the
study.
Gillian cautiously opened the door to Julian's study making sure no one
was
there. She hated doing this and knew that if she got caught she would
be in
trouble but it was the only way to get Sheridan and Luis back together.
Opening the top door she looked under the stack of papers until she
found a
mask.
"Why the heck would Julian keep a mask in his desk." She asked out loud
turning it over.
When she saw the front she almost screamed. It was a replicate of a
human
face. She knew it was Luis's because of the picture Theresa had showed
her.
Looking under the papers once again, Gillian found a box, which looked
almost like a speaker.
"A mask of Luis's face and a voice duplicator. Julian, Julian, Julian
next
time you hire an imposter, hide the evidence." Gillian said shoving
them
both into her purse. She quickly straightened up the desk and left the
study.
"Thank you for all your help Ivy." Gillian said as she re-entered the
living
room.
"I see you found what you where looking for."
"Yes, and I promise no one will know you had anything to do with it."
"Thank you Gillian." Ivy said relieved.
"Well I have to go. I'll see you later Ivy."
Once she was safely outside the mansion Gillian pulled out her sell
phone
and called Theresa.
"I've got it. Meet me at the book Café in an hour bring Luis and I'll
bring
Sheridan."

Chapter 5:
(Note- I'm going to pretend that Julian actually works in an office
sometimes.)
Crane Enterprise Office
"I'm here to see Julian Crane." Gillian told the receptionist.
"Do you have an appointment?" She asked looking up from the computer.
"No, but tell him Gillian Andrassy is out here. he'll see me."
"One moment please."
The receptionist buzzed Julian's office and within a matter of minutes
she
was ushered inside.
"Gillian Andrassy, It's been a long time." Julian said standing up.
"I know, how are you Julian?"
"Wonderful, We've made more money this year then any other one." Julian
said
with a proud smile.
Gillian was compelled to roll her eyes at him but she contained
herself.
"That's wonderful. And the reason you've made so much must be because
you're
the one running Crane Enterprises. Am I right?" Gillian asked with a
smile.
"Naturally." Julian told her. "So Gillian, what's this I hear about you
marring a commoner named Bryan Lavery or something."
"Ryan -- Ryan Lavery." Gillian corrected.
"Whatever, Gillian why would you marry him instead of Scott Chandler?
At
least Scott comes from a respectable family and doesn't have a brother
who
is a rapist."
"Julian. please." Gillian tried to stop him but it was no use.
"Gillian what would your father say? You come to America and marry some
random guy who has no more then ten dollars to his name. Gillian, will
you
ever learn."
"I was in love with him Julian."
"Love. Ha, no such thing exists. Well it's a good thing your now
divorced
because I will introduce you to a whole bunch of wealthy young men."
"Julian I really couldn't ask you to do that for me." Gillian said
sarcastically.
Julian however didn't pick up on her sarcasm. "It's no trouble really.
Seeing as my dear sister Sheridan won't meet any of them, there all
yours."
"Oh why thank you. Anyway Julian are you busy tonight?"
"No why?"
"How about you take me out for a wonderful dinner to celebrate me
coming
here."
Julian smiled. "As long as you'll think about meeting those men."
"I will." Gillian promised crossing her fingers in her lap.
"Okay then, I'll see you at 8:00 tonight."
"Well, I must meet Sheridan. Bye Julian." Gillian said leaving the
office.
Once she was outside she smiled to herself. "Success, Julian Crane will
never know what hit him."
Book Café
"Why are we here Theresa?" Luis asked looking around the crowded café.
"Can't I want to spend time with my favorite older brother?"
"No."
"Oh stop being such a grouch."
"How are things going with Rich Boy Crane?" Luis asked.
"Wonderful, absolutely wonderful."
"You're going to wind up hurt, you know what right?"
"Luis, I love Ethan and he loves me. I don't care what you say about
him or
his family I will always love him."
Luis grumbled a reply.
"Speaking of Cranes, look who just walked in." Theresa said pointing to
the
door.
Luis turned around and saw Sheridan walk in followed by a tall
unfamiliar
brunette.
"I'm out of here." Luis said starting to stand up.
"Oh no your not." Theresa said pulling back down on the chair.
"Why are they walking over here?" Luis asked with a frown.
"You'll see." Theresa said in a singsong voice.
"What are you doing?" Sheridan asked as Gillian led her over to
Theresa.
"Saying Hi to Theresa."
"You do that. I'll be over there." Sheridan said trying to get away.
"Don't ever think about it Sherry." Gillian said leading her over.
"Hi Theresa."
"Hi Gillian. Gillian this is my brother Luis, Luis this is Gillian
Andrassy."
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Gillian said extending her hand. Luis
shook
it with a small smile.
"Hey Theresa, Luis." Sheridan said softly.
"Hey Sher." Theresa replied.
"Hi." Luis said just as soft.
"Sheridan sit down." Gillian said lightly pushing Sheridan down beside
Luis.
"What are you doing?" Sheridan hissed to Gillian.
"Nothing." Gillian said with a mischievous look in her eyes.
"Gillian." Sheridan pleaded.
"Do either of you recognize this?" Gillian said pulling out the mask
and
handing it to Sheridan and Luis.
