Chapter 6: Some Things Will Never Change

Chapter 6:

Sheridan had fallen asleep in Luis's arms and he stayed awake, watching over her. He was glad that she was getting some rest. She needed it after all that she had been through. He should have seen this coming. After all, Roger and Pierre still hadn't been captured, and the Cranes didn't want them together, but he never thought that Beth would stoop so low. He thought that she was his friend. They had known each other forever. He couldn't believe that his friend would do something like this to the woman he loved. He knew that Beth still had strong feelings for him, but he never thought that she could be this cold harded.

A tear trickled down Luis's cheek. It seemed like all of his friends were betraying him. First, Hank tries to rape Sheridan, then Beth tried to kill her. He didn't know who to trust anymore. But he knew for sure that he couldn't trust Jullian. After that day when Jullian slapped Sheridan, he had made a vow to himself that he would never let him so much as ten feet of Sheridan.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Come in," Luis called. The door opened and Jullian Crane came inside. Luis looked at him and said, "What the hell are you doing here? I thought I told you to stay away from here." "I came here to talk to Sheridan." "You stay away from her," Luis said as he tightened his grip on Sheridan. "I don't understand how you could love Sheridan. She's a Crane for one thing, and a disgrace." Jullian said.

Luis glared at him, "You know, if you weren't Sheridan's brother and if I weren't taking care of her right now, I would kill you for saying that about her. She is the most wonderful woman I have ever met. You are the one who is an idiot for not loving someone like her." Jullian didn't say anything. Luis said, "Now you get out, before I throw you out." Jullian reluctantly walked to the door.

Just as he was about to walk out, he turned to him and said, "I warned you about the consequences of staying with Sheridan. Very soon, you both will pay for what you've done." With that, Jullian slamed the door loudly. Sheridan groaned in her sleep, but she didn't wake up. Luis hugged her close. He did remember the deal he had made with Jullian a long time a go. Jullian had said that Sheridan would get hurt or killed if he continued to see her.

He began to get afraid again about loosing her. Luis shook those negative thoughts out of his head. The last time he thought twice about that, he had broken up with Sheridan and things had gotten very bad. He thought, 'I will never let anything happen to Sheridan again. I will protect her with my life. Jullian can make all the threats he wants, but nothing was going to keep them apart.

Sheridan stirred in his arms and she fluttered her eyes open. "Mmmm... hello Luis." "Hello angel." "You know... if you're going to call me that, than what am I going to call you?" Sheridan smiled. Luis said, "Anything you want, but I am only gonna call you angel, cause you are the most beautiful angel in the world." Sheridan felt her heart melt, "Oh Luis. You are so sweet." She pulled him into a soft kiss.

She pulled back a few seconds later and said, "I'm hungry. I'll go make us something to eat." She started to get up, but Luis pulled her back down. "No way. You're staying right here. I'll make us something to eat." "Luis... I can do this." Sheridan said. "You are going to relax all week and that's final." Luis said. "You do you have to be so controlling and stubborn," Sheridan asked. "Because I love you, and I don't want anything to happen to you." The moment Sheridan saw that loving look in his eyes, the argument was lost. Luis got up from the couch and went to the kitchen.

Sheridan sat on the couch, bored as ever. She didn't care what Luis said, "She needed to do something... anything." She looked out the window and thought, 'Maybe I'll go plant some flowers in the garden.' She looked at the kitchen door to make sure that Luis wasn't coming and she got up and walked out to the back.

A while later, Sheridan was planting some beautiful flowers in the garden. She was finding this a lot of fun. And she wanted to have something to do before Luis realized that she was outside. She stood up, dusting the dirt off her hands, and suddenly, two arms wrapped around her. She jumped at first, but she settled into the arms when she realized who it was.

"And what do you think you're doing?" Luis said, blowing his hot breathe on her neck. "I'm planting some flowers," Sheridan answered. "Oh no you're not," Luis said as he scooped her up into his arms. Sheridan laughed and smiled as he did this. As Luis carried her back inside, he said, "You disobeyed me. You were supposed to relax on the couch." "Luis. I've been relaxing all day. I'm bored. I needed to do something." Sheridan whinned.

"Well... I can help pass the time," Luis said as he lowered her onto the couch. He came down on top of her and kissed her passionately. Sheridan fell into the kiss immediately. Luis broke the kiss and started to trail a kiss down her neck. Sheridan moaned out his name and suddenly, they heard the timer beep from inside the kitchen. "Luis... the food is ready." "Come to think of it, I'm not hungry. I'd rather do this," He said before continuing to kiss her neck. "Oh no... I'm hungry. If you won't get it, I will." Sheridan said.

She started to get up, and Luis held her down. "No no no no. I'm sorry. I'll get the food." Sheridan smiled as Luis went to get the food. He came back with the food and said, "Now, finish it quickly, so we can get back to wha we were doing." Sheridan smiled and ate the food quickly. After she was done, Luis lunged himself at her and they engaged in a passionate, intense kiss...
