Chapter 9: Some Things Will Never Change

Chapter 9:

Sheridan and Luis now lay in each other's arms, after making love (yet again). "If this is a dream, don't ever wake me up," Sheridan said. Luis gently had his hand over her back and kissed her forehead, "It isn't a dream, Sheridan. It's real." Sheridan sighed and relaxed against his chest. "You know what I want to do?" "What." Luis asked. "I wanna go to the beach," Sheridan said as she sat up. "What? But I'd rather stay right here," Luis whinned as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck.

"Luis..." Sheridan said as she turned around to look at him, "Love isn't just about sex, you know." "I know, but it's just so much fun," Luis whinned in a childish-like voice. Sheridan giggled. Luis cupped her face in his hands and said, "I love you, regardless of the sex. You are the most wonderful, beautiufl, kind, amazing woman I know." "I love you too, Luis, but we're in Burmuda. We both haven't been here before." Sheridan said.

"Oh fine, but I get to choose what we do tonight." Luis said. "No you don't," Sheridan said, "Today, we are going to have dinner here." "Geez, then when do we get to... you know." Luis asked. "For the rest of our lives, and after dinner." Sheridan said seductively. Luis smiled at her. She was just too sexy. "All right," Sheridan asid, getting up, "I'll go put on my suit." She went to the bathroom and Luis changed into his trucks.

Once he was ready, Sheridan came out of the bathroom. Luis's mouth practically dropped to the floor at the sight of her beautiful body. She was perfectly tanned and her light blue bikini was so skimpy, that she was practically naked. "Sheridan, are you crazy?" "What's wrong?" Sheridan asked. "You can't go outside like that," Luis said walking up to her, "There are men out there." "Oh Luis... you are nuts... the only man I'll be hanging around is you." Sheridan sighed.

"I know how a guy thinks, and I don't want the men hanging all over you." Luis said, looking serious. "Well, I bet that all the girls will be clinging to you when they see you." Sheridan said, looking at Luis's muscular body. "Well... that's different," Luis said, trying to win the argument, "I know what men think about." "And I know what women think about, and all it is are men, men, and more men. It's the same thing as a guy." Sheridan said.

Luis sighed when he realized he had lost the argument. Sheridan noticed this look and said, "Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I'll cling to your side, so that I can scare away all the girls, and you can scare away all the guys." Luis smiled. Not only was she incredibly sexy, but she was smart too.

"Okay," Luis agreed. Sheridan and Luis walked out of their room and went outside to the resort's private beach. Sheridan wasn't the only one wearing sexy looking bikinis. Practically every girl was wearing one, but they didn't exactly have the right bodies for it. Luis was still a little bit nervous about the men getting near Sheridan, so he planned on glarring at any man who looked at her the wrong way. He wanted everyone to know that Sheridan was his, and not for sale. They laid their towels on the beach and laid out in the sun for a while.

Every once in a while, Luis would catch a man staring at Sheridan. He would put his arm around her and kiss her forehead, then the man would look away, looking humiliated. Sheridan did the same whenever girls looked at Luis. Sheridan looked off and saw that there was a place to rent surf boards. She had learned a long time ago and thought that it would be fun to do it.

"Luis... let's so surfing. We can rent some surf boards." "No way... the last time I went surfing, I nearly killed myself. You can go if you want." Luis said. "All right. I'll be back." Sheridan said as she was about to get up. "Sheridan..." "Yeah?" "I'll be keeping an eye on you." Luis said, giving her a you-can't-escape-from-me look. Sheridan smiled back and ran off to get a surf board.

Sheridan got her surf board and went out to surf. As she was surfing, a group of three men were watching her. "Damn, that girl has some body," Michael said. "And great skills," Paul said. "What I wouldn't give to get my hands around someone like that," Rob said. "No woman would ever let you near her, Rob." Paul said. "That's not true. In Hawaii, the girls were all over me." Rob said. "Yeah, beating you up," Michael said. Paul and Michael laughed. "Oh yeah," Rob said, "I'll go up to her and talk to her." "Oh this I have got to see," said Paul.

They looked over at Sheridan, who had just gotten out of the water and was walking over to the bar to get something to drink. "Now's your chance, Rob," Michael said. Rob reluctantly walked out of the water and followed Sheridan to where she was sitting. "Excuse me," he said as he sat next to her, "I couldn't help but notice how well you surf." "Oh. Thank you," Sheridan said. "Do you think you could give me some tips?" Rob asked. "Um... sure..."

Luis looked back at the ocean and realized that Sheridan was gone. "What the?" He said as he stood up and looked around. She wasn't in the water. He started to get worried, after the incident with Hank and with how sexy Sheridan was, the men would be all over Sheridan. He started walking around, trying to find Sheridan before any men did.

Sheridan walked to the drinking fountain, and Rob followed. "You know... you can learn a lot from being at the beach," She said as she turned around. When she did, she found that Rob's hand were on either side of her, pressing her to the wall. "I've changed my mind, I am more interested in you, Sheridan." Sheridan knew what was coming and she said, "Rob, please, don't do this." She pushed him off and tried to walk away, but Rob grabbed her arm, pulling her back.

Luis was looking around the bar for Sheridan, when something caught his eye. He focused his eyes and he saw Sheridan struggled to get away from a man. Luis clenched his teeth and his blood started to boil. He ran as fast as he could up to where they were, then she lunged at Rob, throwing him against the wall. Then, the two men started to quarl. "Luis... Luis... stop," Sheridan said as she tried to pull Luis off of Rob, who was on the floor, with his nose bleeding.

Luis turned and looked at Sheridan with an anger look on his face. He stood up, took her hand, and walked away. He walked to where the lockers were and looked at her, "What the hell did you think you were doing? I told you to stay where I can keep an eye on you!" "Luis... you my be my fiance, but you can't tell me how to run my life! I had the situation under control!" Sheridan yelled back. "Oh yeah right. You can't just go away somewhere without me knowing about it. You could have gotten hurt!" Luis shouted. "Why are you so concerned about whether of not I am by myself? Why are you so fixated on it?"

"You wanna know, huh... you wanna know why?!" Luis yelled. They were about an inch apart now. "Yes, I do!!!" Sheridan screamed. "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU," Luis yelled. "Oh yeah, well... you know what... I LOVE YOU TOO." Sheridan screamed. "Oh, is that so?!" Luis yelled. "Yes, more than anything in the world!!" Sheridan shouted, sounding angrier than ever. "Oh yeah... well... FINE!!!" Luis shouted. "FINE!!!" Sheridan yelled. They hesitated for a moment and Luis yelled, "Well... I'm going to kiss you now!" "Fine by me!" Sheridan yelled.

Luis pulled Sheridan close and kissed her hard and passionately. Sheridan pulled back and said, "And don't think that you can just__!" She was cut off when Luis pulled her into another kiss. A few minutes later, they pulled back and their facial expression had been changed from raging anger to pure love. They smiled at each other and Sheridan said, "Let's go inside. I think we've had enough excitment for one day." They got their stuff and went inside to get ready for the party...
