"Is Namek gone yet?" Yamcha asked. "Maybe Goku's still ok," said Chao-tzu. "I wish that were so. It seems Goku is gone forever." King Kai began reading through space. His antennae beeped and blinked while he tried to detect Namek. "It's gone, I'm afraid. And now the universe will be overrun once again. Without the aid of Goku, the Earth doesn't stand a chance!" There was a period of silence for a while. "And we don't have a way home…" Tien muttered to himself.

Bulma went off somewhere and laid on the ground. Dende walked over to her. She was arranging leaves in a circle made from a stick. "What are you doing?" Dende asked. "I'm burning leaves. If all three leaves burn the traveler will come back safely. Dende place a ki beam on the leaves. The Namek villagers crowded around them for a better view. The fire spread very quickly. "This means my dad's coming home?" Gohan asked with high hopes. "The leaves never fail," Bulma replied. A gust of wind blew swiftly and the leaves died out in ashes. Everyone gasped. Piccolo didn't care. "Fortune telling doesn't do anything. I know he'll come back." "My dad…" Gohan was in tears. "He's dead isn't he, Piccolo?" But Piccolo couldn't bear to look at his sad expression. "Bulma" a familiar voice rang in everyone's head. "Hey, who said that?" "It's me, Yamcha" "Really?!" "Listen Bulma. I have some bad news…Goku was stranded on Namek when it blew. Don't tell Gohan or Chichi just yet." "Hey, Guys!" Bulma shouted to the gloomy fighters. "Goku's dead. He blew with Namek, " she said as if it was no big deal. "Bulma! What are you doing?!" "Hey, no big deal. When we wished everyone to Earth, the Namek dragon balls came with us! Kuririn, Goku and Chao-tzu can all come back!" "HOORAY!!!" everyone cheered. "You're all being foolish!" said a new and stuffed up voice. "The Namek dragon brings back people to where they died. If we wished Goku and Kuririn back, they'd go to Namek but there is no Namek…" "They would materialize in space and die a cold and lonely death." "That's…awful!" Bulma managed to gasp. For some strange reason Vegeta spoke. "Why don't you just wish them back to the Earth's check-in station. Then resurrect them." "Hey! That's a great idea. But we have to wait a whole year before we can wish them back. Oh, this is still awful." They started weeping again. " Thanks, Vegeta!" Gohan reached out to shake his hand but Vegeta backhanded him. "Those fools. I don't care about their lives. I just need Kakarot to show me how to be a Super Saiyan." "Wait a minute!" Everyone looked at him in a puzzled expression. "If I use the dragon balls to wish Kakarot back, how will I become immortal!? This is horrible!" Now everyone was in tears.
