CHAPTER FIVE: REUNITED AT LAST

***Earth***

"Wait, guys!" Bulma quickly shouted. "You'll need a place to crash until the dragon balls are back." "Oh, we couldn't impose," said a Namek villager. "No, really! It's no big deal. My dad has a HUGE complex. Besides, you need a major credit card to stay at a hotel." "Face it, guys. Green men from outer space aren't exactly a common sight around here." "Oh. I see what you mean, " he replied. "Ok. We accept." "Hey, home-boy!" Bulma shouted in Vegeta's direction. "What?! Home-boy?" "Yeah, you! You're gonna need a place to stay too, ya' know. You're kinda cute, too." "What?! Kinda cute? Bonehead…"

***Capsule Corp.***

"Hey, guys! I just got a call from Bulma," Dr. Briefs said. "She said she's back on Earth. And Gohan's with her, as well. Does anyone still want to make the trip to Namek?" Everyone in the ship fell over in disbelief.

***Gang***

"Huh?" Bulma spotted a ship in the distance. "Hey, guys! Over here! Whoohoo!" Chichi ran out looking for Gohan but was shocked to see a million Piccolos staring at her. On the ride back, Bulma explained what happened. At the Capsule Corp. complex, the new visitors were given a tour. A certain sphere caught Vegeta's eye. "What? A ship!" "Yep," Dr. Briefs nodded. "All the latest in technology. A gravity machine, turbo-boosting pulsators, and a stereo system that'll bring the house down." Vegeta was examining the inside when a monitor popped up with Mrs. Brief's head on it. "Vegeta, cold drinks for everyone. I made you a "Shirley Temple!" Life was sweet for the travelers from outer space. Marki became an expert putter. The Namek boys learned how to play Poker. And a certain frog became the proud new ruler of the local fishpond. "Ribbit!" Finally, the dragon balls were collected and the Namek dragon appeared. "I can grant you anything you can imagine. What three wishes do you desire? "Bring Kuririn and Goku to the Earth's check-in station!" Dende shouted in his native tongue. The dragon's eyes glowed red. "The one named Kuririn is at the Earth's check-in station…but the one called Goku can not." "Why the hell not?!" Vegeta was very upset at this. "Because he is alive! If I brought him there he would die." Everyone gasped at this news. "Bring back Kuririn to this dimension!" Once again, the dragon's eyes glowed and Kuririn, with his wound healed, stood before them. "Hey! Where am I?" he said in confusion. "For our last wish! Bring Goku here!" The Namek dragon's eyes stopped glowing. "He refuses to come. He says he'll return later." "Kakarot. What are you up to?" Vegeta thought. "Then let's bring back Yamcha!" The dragon spoke after a minute. "I have fulfilled my task. And so I bid you farewell." He flew off into the sky. "Hey. Wait!" Bulma cried out. "The dragon ripped us off!" "No, he didn't…" came a familiar voice. Yamcha appeared soaked with water and a frog on his head. 130 days later a peculiar darkness overcame the sky, once again. The first wish was to bring back the triclops, Tien. The second was to revive the courageous fighter, Chao-tzu. "Does this mean…that we're…?" Tien nodded. "Oh, Tien!" Chao-tzu hugged him. Life returned to normal for the tired band of fighters. Piccolo was back to being celf- centered. Gohan resumed his studies. Chichi was back to her bitching. They were happy with their lives, once again. But every night, they'd look out into the stars and wonder…when the one they loved would finally return.
