ADBZ History

Owner: Justin DiMatteo Age: 12 Email: SadTogepi@aol.com & FutureTrunks5566@aol.com Alternate DBZ was not made clear from the blue. It took time and patience. It all began with a dream…well, actually a vision. A vision of a website that gave what most people looked for and never found. A site that would only get better each day. Unfortunately, this site didn’t exist. So I knew I had to make it. I spend over a week researching DBZ info, gathering pictures, summaries, and scripts. I had over 300 images saved under my hard drive. Then, on March 22, 2000 I began work. I knew that I would turn my site into a domain someday but for now I just looked for the most generous company. I came to AngelFire, I signed up and got 30mb of free space. I added my main image, I wrote text to what it was all about. After awhile, I decided to call my site Alternate DBZ because I would give it a little bit of everything. I e-mailed all my friends and I began work on my first Saga Summary, the Frieza Saga. I only did the ending. I divided them into chapters and each episode of the series would be equivalent to about 3 chapters. I posted the chapters little by little and saw my traffic roll in. My friends complimented me on how they love seeing the show in a Japanese perspective. Then for awhile nothing happened. But the next day I bought the first Garlic Jr. tape and I was inspired. I started the beginning of the Garlic Jr. Summary and it was a hit. I submitted my site to search engines and I asked people to link to me. Then my friend Shinn Rekka came along and volunteered to help me. And boy did he keep his word. He added the frames on the side you see before you and made many sections. Then I added a guestbook to see what people thought. And they all said the same thing: “Write the Trunks Chapters!” So I did, I wrote the Summary of everyone’s favorite purple-haired wonder and how he killed Frieza and told our heroes about the Androids. And my counter zoomed from 1,000 to 5,000 and eventually after a month to 63,000! And here it stands today. I am currently adding new sections like Images, Affiliates, and Power Levels and writing the Android Saga. I plan to write a lot of it then release it all at once to gain a lot of viewers. And as the history of ADBZ writes itself I will write it down here. Was that a joke? (^_^) I have asked many friends and family to see what they think of ABDZ and I get the same response. “You should be proud that a great site like this is managed by a 12 year old…”
