BIO
At the age of 17, Winona had been sold by her father to a trapper that had been passing through their tiny community and had focussed his lustful gaze on the only remaining child of the James Erskine.
All in all, it wasn’t such a bad deal for the young girl. In return for being the dutiful wife she was taken from the only home she had ever known and treated like a slave. Which was no different really from how her father had treated her from the time she had been old enough to walk. The only difference now was she was expected to share the bed of the man her father sold her too. She realised now that her mother had spent her early years shielding her from the unwanted attentions of the men that had passed their home.
It had only been a matter of time before her father succeeded in raising the price he demanded for his daughter and tore her from her mothers loving care. The one thing she would always be grateful for was the fact that part of the deal her father had forged was a legally binding wedding. The certificate for which now resided amongst her spare clothing, proof that she wasn’t the brazen harlot the townsfolk accused her of being.
