Hope Returns Dvd #1 June 22, 1994 - January 5, 1995: 8 hour original edit

DVD #1A 6/22 "Hope" wants to know why Bo and Billie brought her to Salem and do they know who she is. Bo tells her who she looks like and that she was married to him. "Hope" doesn't feel a connection to Bo, so she can't be who they think she is. Later she recalls her name is Gina and that she was from New Orleans.

6/24 After a checkup by Hope's doctor and dentist, neither can confirm or deny that Gina is Hope. Bo takes Gina's fingerprints as Hope's fingerprints are on file at the Police station.

6/27 Billie befriends Gina. Doug and Julie return to Salem. Alice tells them about Gina and they go to see her at the hospital. Gina doesn't recognize Doug and Julie. Hope's fingerprints where thrown out.

6/28 Gina finds out that Hope had a son. Gina goes to Tom’s funeral.

6/29 Bo speaks at the service about a time when he and Hope where young and how Tom gave him advice. Gina watches and says to Billie, she now realize how much love Bo had for Hope. Gina goes back to the empty chapel and Shawn D sees her. She asks him "Are you my baby?" as Bo and Billie walk in.

7/4 Shawn D thinks Gina is angel. Bo tells him who she is. Gina tells Bo she wanted Shawn D to say she was his mother so that she could become a part of Horton family. She feels so alone. Alice, Julie and Doug go to see Gina in hospital. They show her Hope's Christmas ornament but she doesn't recognize it. She tells them if she was Shawn D's mom, she would feel it.

7/8 It's Mike's first day back at the hospital and Gina is his patient. Gina overhears Bo and Shawn D talking about Hope.

7/14 Gina is discharged from the hospital and Alice offers to take her in, but Gina declines. Billie offers her place to Gina.

7/19 Billie is getting ready for her big date with Bo. She doesn't tell Gina who it's with. Bo go to the boat to make love. Gina is out on a walk and comes across the boat.

7/20 Gina investigates the boat and finds Bo and Billie together. She tells them she felt drawn to the boat and thought the name (Fancy Face) was connected to Bo. Bo tells her "Fancy Face" was his name for Hope. Gina runs off.

7/21 Bo and Billie take Gina back home where Gina recalls looking at a projector showing pictures of Hope & Bo. Bo thinks that she must have been brainwashed by Stefano to think she is Hope, so she can't be Hope.

7/22 Edited Gina is taking a shower. Bo walks in, hears the water running and sees Billie's clothes on the couch and assumes Billie is in the shower. Bo starts to have romantic thoughts and undresses himself. As he is about to enter the shower, Billie is at the front door.

7/25 Gina faints in the shower as Bo realizes his mistake. As he caries her out of the bathroom (with towel) Billie sees them. Bo tells Billie what happened and they decided that fate is against them, trying to stop them being together. Gina goes to see John hoping he can help her.

7/26 John gives Gina ideas of finding her identity. Suggests she sees and does all things that was Hope. Gina visits Alice, who shows her things belonging to Hope. She sees a nightgown that Hope wore on her wedding night and has a vision of Bo taking the nightgown off Hope. Gina doesn't know if it's a memory or something Stefano planted in her mind. Alice suggest she follow her heart and go somewhere quiet to think as Hope use to do.

7/27 Bo and Gina accidentally meet at Green Mountain and Bo tell Gina about his relationship with Hope. Bo is angry to see Gina wearing Hope's leather jacket (Alice gave it to her). He is adamant she isn't Hope. After refusing a ride from Bo, Gina turns, falls and hits her head. As Bo says "Gina, wake up", she replies, "why are you calling me Gina, I'm HOPE".

7/28 Again Bo asks Gina who she is and she insists she's Hope. As 'Hope', she tells how much she loves him. Her memory is immediately after the explosion. Bo is stunned and denies she's Hope. She recalls all their memories and Bo is almost swayed. She complains about her head and lies down. Later when she wakes, she asks Bo to take her home and hopes Billie has some aspirin. Bo looks incredulous and again asks her who she is, which she replies "Gina".

8/1 When Bo sees Gina in Hope's wedding dress, he is really shook up and very confused. Gina apologizes. Bo agrees to help Gina by remembering some of Hope's memories and starts by taking her on a date.

8/2 Bo and Gina go to a restaurant that he once took Hope to. Bo shows Hope's music box to Gina, as the song plays Bo and Hope's song, (Tonight, I Celebrate my Love) Gina feels something. Bo takes Gina to the playground he took Hope to after their date. They dance and Gina asks "what did you do next?", he then kisses her.

8/3 Gina asks why Bo kissed her and he replies because he had kissed Hope.

8/9 Gina buys a book for Shawn D and Bo is stunned to see it's exactly like one that Hope had bought Shawn D as a baby. He questions her if Stefano had planted that memory and Gina replies no, that she was drawn to the book. Bo believes she might be Hope.

8/10 Bo is convinced Gina could be Hope because there are now too many coincidences and believes it's a Miracle. Bo is distraught, torn between his love for Billie and how he must tell her Gina could be Hope. They must find a memory that Stefano couldn't have programmed into Gina. Bo recalls all the coincidences and thinks he has a memory of Hope Stefano wouldn't have known.

8/11 Bo and Gina have another try at jogging her memory. He tries to recreate an anniversary were Hope had danced for him in a sarong.

8/15 Gina comes out in the sarong. Billie finds the boat has gone. Gina and Bo go swimming. Bo finds it too much to cope with as Gina can't remember anything, but Gina doesn't want to quit. She wants to be Hope.

8/16 Gina tell Bo she wants to be Hope because she wants love. She tells Bo about these flashes she has of a man she must have been the love of her life. They try one more time to create the past. When Bo and Gina are at a point where Bo believes she's Hope, he hugs her and Billie sees them.

8/17 Billie listens broken hearted as Bo is so happy Hope is back. Billie is distraught at the thought of having and loosing Bo. Gina confesses that she's not Hope. Bo rages at her. Bo later realizes Billie was on the boat.

9/7 Bo comes back from Washington and finds Gina at the boat. The results of the DNA test are expected later that day. They both rush to the hospital when told Shawn D has had an accident at school.

DVD #1B Bo comes into Shawn D.’s hospital room and finds Gina by his son’s side, tenderly holding his hand. She softly asks and unconscious boy if he would like to go fishing with her and his papa. She lays her head next to his. When Bo enters, she tells him she feels so much love for this little boy, that he has to be her son. She has never felt like this before towards anyone. Shawn D wakes up with a headache, and calls Gina “Mommie”.

9/8 Bo explains that Gina isn’t his mom but is the woman who looks like her. Later, Gina sings "Twinkle Twinkle" to Shawn D, while Bo look on amazed, (Hope used to sing it).

9/9 The DNA results are in and, of course, though not conclusive, do not deny that Gina is Hope. Billie tells Bo he must make a decision. Bo has made his decision and tells Billie he has to let her go.

9/12 Bo tells Billie that he love her very much, but he has to let her go because if Gina is Hope, he is still married to her. He has to let Billie get on with her life. Billie doesn't agree with him and says she can't go on without him. Gina is heartbroken to think that she has hurt her best friend.

9/15 While Gina sleeps, Celeste starts to brainwash another memory. Bo comes in and and plays the tape and when the creepy music starts, she falls into a trance.

9/16 Bo wakes up a sleeping Gina and she mentions a date, 1-9-86. Bo asks her what she remembers of that date. She says it was a very special night for Hope and Bo. (It was the night Shawn D was conceived of course that would mean the child was in the womb for 15 months, since he was born in April of 1987.) Bo says that if she can recreate that night and remember all of it then he'll believe that she is Hope. This is her last chance. Later Bo meets her at the Penthouse Grill and she's wearing the same dress that Hope had on that night. As Bo goes to check with the babysitter, Gina remembers Hope and Bo making love on the beach.

9/19 Celeste watches over Gina and Bo. Gina takes Bo to the island and is more certain that she is Hope. Gina tells Bo she remembers they came to the island not to have dessert but to make love. Bo is disbelieving but they start to kiss.

9/23 While speaking with Mrs Horton, Gina calls her "Gran". Even more now Mrs Horton believes that she is Hope.

10/7 Celeste again drugs Gina to brainwash her. Gina tells Bo another memory to prove she's Hope. The memory is when Shawn D was a baby and they shared a bond that two parents can only share. Bo is convinced but devastated.

10/13 Hope tells the Bradys the good news. Shawn D accepts Gina as his mum while Billie looks on.

11/2 The Hortons and Bo give Hope a welcome home party.

11/3 Billie shows up at the party to give her blessing to Bo and Hope. Celeste plans another memory for Hope.

11/4 Billie catches a dazed Hope on the phone. Billie starts to get suspicious as she recalls another time Hope was dazed after a call. Hope explained that she thinks of Bo and memories. Bo and Hope are out for dinner when Billie's business companion wants to join them. During dinner Billie hears the same music and watches as Hope goes into a trance.

11/7 Billie starts thinking that maybe the music is a trigger for Hope to remember and that Stefano was brainwashing "Gina" to be Hope. Billie tells Bo and Hope what she thinks.

11/14 Thinking Hope is at the apartment alone, Celeste sneaks into plant another memory. Billie, after having a shower and drinking the drugged tea, she falls asleep on the couch with the towel hiding her face. Celeste begins to brainwash a memory to Billie thinking she is Hope.

11/15 Celeste relates the memory of Bo and Hope's first night in the Loft to Billie. Billie wakes from her sleep calling that she's not Hope. Celeste sees that it's Billie. Bo tries to recall their past to Hope, but she can't remember anything. After struggling with Celeste who ran out, Austin comes to Billie's rescue. She explains about her dream. When Celeste ran out she left behind her book of Hope memories. Billie now realized that someone thought she was Hope and she must find proof to give to Bo before he and Hope make love.

11/16 Billie finds the book of memories and now must find Bo. Bo & Hope are alone together sharing a romantic evening.

11/18 Bo and Hope are about to make love. Billie arrives just in the nick of time. She tells them she can prove that Gina is not Hope.

11/21 Bo and Hope can't believe that Billie has tracked them all over the place. They don't believe her. When Bo takes Billie outside to talk, she drops the book of memories. Hope picks it up and reads it.

11/23 Bo and Hope start to make love but Hope breaks away, quilt starting to take over. She tells him she's not Hope, and Billie was right all along. She pulls the book from the fire and gives it to Bo. Bo realizes the truth and tells Gina that the only person who could keep him from Billie was Hope and she's not Hope.

11/25 Gina tells Mrs Horton that she's not Hope, but Mrs Horton doesn't believe her.

12/2 Mrs Horton continues to comfort Gina and refuses to think of her other than Hope Brady. She takes her to see the town Christmas tree and tells her the story of Hope’s birth and how he got the name. Mrs. H tells her that she loves her no matter who she is and she will never be alone.

12/8 Bo & Billie come in and announce they are engaged. Shawn D is confused as he thought they were going to live happily ever after as a family with his mom. Bo and Gina tell Shawn D. she's not his mum.

12/12 Gina tells Bo that she loves him, she knows she isn’t his wife but she does love him.

12/26 Note: Hope is now Roman’s nanny and helping care for his children as their nanny has quite.

Julie & Alice look at the Christmas tree at the Horton’s with Hope’s ornament hanging on it. They are missing Tom, their first Christmas without him. Mrs Horton asks Gina over for dinner, she is hesitant to accept. Alice tells her that she is a Horton now and they want her to be there. She remains non-committal.

Julie & Doug stop by to see Hope. She is surprised to see them, they tell her they are there to twist her arm to come to dinner. She makes excuses that she has to take care of the children. Julie knows they are going to the Bradys for dinner. They know she is having a hard time adjusting. She admits it is hard to think she has a family, and a great guy, and a beautiful son and then to lose it. They are all struggling with this.

Hope says that is why she doesn’t want to go, it will just make everyone sad. They remind her how much it would mean to Alice to have her there and insist she come. When she arrives, Mrs. H gives Gina an ornament with her name on it to put on the tree. She tells her how much she loves her, and Gina says she loves her too as she hangs her ornament on the tree.

The Horton’s break into song, “O Holy Night”. As Mrs. H and Hope stand by the tree, Hope tells her that she was making a wish on the angel. Mrs. H has a flashback of Hope as a little girl making a wish on the angel. Just as Mrs. H gets a look of wonder in her eyes, the “Gina” ornament falls and breaks. Mrs. H softly talks to Tom (her deceased hubby) and asks if he made the ornament fall as Hope’s real ornament is on the tree already.

12/30 The day of Bo and Billie's wedding, Hope stops by the Horton’s and asks Alice if she can get ready there as there is so much chaos at Billie’s apartment. Mrs. H knows that Hope is upset over Bo marrying Billie and hugs her.

Alice tells Maggie about Gina coming by and being so heartbroken. It reminded her so much of another time that Hope cried in her arms, cue another childhood flashback of a little Hope being upset over Bo disappointing her. She says that Hope was in love with Bo even then. She feels the little girl that was crying then is the same girl that was crying in her arms today. Maggie encourages her to let it go for Bo’s sake.

At the church, Alice opens a gift that Celeste has given her. It is a music box, playing the same song as the music box Hope had as a little girl, the very same memory that has been on Alice’s mind.

1/4 The wedding begins but Alice put a stop to it by standing and saying the wedding cannot go on. There is confusion as to why she would do this. Bo, John and Father Jansen take her to another room to speak with her. Father Jansen asks Alice why she feels that Bo and Billie can't get married. She apologizes that she did it now but she had agonized over this for weeks. She says Bo can't marry as he already has a wife. Bo tells Alice that Gina is not Hope but Alice disagrees. Alice says she believes that Gina is Hope. She tells them of the memories she's being having and the feelings. Bo brings Gina in to tell Father Jansen her story. Father Jansen queries Bo, Gina and Alice, was there any record of Hope's death. Father Jansen decide that he can't marry Bo and Billie.

1/5 Billie begs the minister to marry them, he tells them he can’t as long as there is a chance that Bo’s dead wife is alive. Hope talks to Mrs. H and asks why she stopped the wedding? She tells her again that she knows she is her granddaughter, Hope, that she is Bo’s wife. Hope tells Bo that she will do anything she can to help them. Mrs. H says a prayer hoping that Bo & Billie will someday forgive her. She pleads for a way to prove to everyone that her darling granddaughter is alive!
