Bo & Hope #1 April 14 - December 5, 1983: 15 hrs on 4 dvds

DVD #1A 4/14 This edit begins with Hope’s very first scene! Hope shows up at Roman’s door and tells him she was cold in the car and asks if she can come in. She flirts with him as she confesses she isn’t sick. She had a chemistry test today and so she faked being sick. He asks why she thinks she can trust him with this information? She shares that he was so cool when he found her by the road so she likes him, A LOT (this scene never aired)! When she hears voices upstairs, she tells him she will see him later. After she walks out, he says to himself, “I hope not!”

5/3 Bo’s first episode! Abe calls Roman to tell him that "somebody" took his father's car out for a joy ride. Roman immediately knows who Abe means and heads down the PD.  As they enter, Bo grabs Marlena and sweeps her into a big kiss. She laughs that she heard he was a little crazy. He welcomes her to the family and tells her how pretty she is (meeting his new sister-in-law for the first time). He says he wishes he had met her before Roman did and he bets she did too! The arresting officer is willing to drop the charges, but Roman refuses to give his brother special treatment. Bo gives them a wedding present, it is a microwave. She is excited as she has never had one and always wanted one. She worries it must have been terribly expensive. He bought it for her for $75 and Abe jokes that it must be hot. She says that is a real bargain, but Roman says it was a real steal. Roman is sure it was stolen and takes it to run a check on the owner’s ID that is engraved onto it.

Roman warns him to get a job and not be sponging off of mom and pop. Bo declares he will sooner or later, at least do it for their mother and stop acting like a bum which is hurting her. Bo says he wouldn’t do anything to hurt their mother and he doesn’t have to be like Roman to make mom happy. Bo tells him he has seen all the places their mom wanted to see. He pokes fun at Roman for moving to New Jersey and their mom was excited about that. Bo joined the Merchant Marines and sailed around the world. Bo leaves as Marlena tells him to take care. He observes that Marlena suits her a lot better than “Doc”. She tells him to take care. After Bo leaves, Roman asks her what she thinks of his little brother. She observes that she has a lot on her mind.

(First B&H scene!) Bo meets Hope inside of Shenanigan’s. She tries to get him to buy her a beer until Danny stops him. He offers her a ride home and she sneaks out while Danny isn’t looking. Outside of Shenanigans, when she doesn’t tell him her name, he calls her “Lady X”. Bo asks where she goes to school. She tries to convince him that she is in college but he doesn't believe her. He says what high school does she go to and she admits Lincoln. When she says she lives at the lake, he calls her a pretty little rich kid. They take off on his bike as a worried Danny calls out demanding to know where they are going!

5/4 On his second episode, Bo goes to Roman and Marlena with his ladder and painting supplies. He tells Marlena, “Good morning good looking”. He tells Marlena that she is even better looking in the morning than at night. She jokes that flattery and stolen microwaves will get him everywhere in life as she walks off. Bo says, “Ouch, she isn’t only pretty but sharp!”

Later, Marlena can’t start her car. Bo offers to drive her wherever she wants to go. No way Roman will let Bo take her on his motorcycle. He reminds him he has pop’s car to bring the painting supplies over. Julie arrives with wall paper supplies and Juile recognizes it is Bo Brady and reminds him who she is and welcomes him back to Salem (their first scene together). She invites him to come by her and Doug’s place out at the lake. He says that he was just out there last night. He picked up some chick at Shenanigan’s, she was a real fox but trouble and he took her home. She was a real high and mighty type. Julie looks at him curiously as this sounds a lot like Hope.

Bo takes Marlena to “The Body Connection” and she introduces him to Tony. It will be the location for the new teen center Tony is sponsoring. Her and Tony go into the office space, as Bo follows. A teen, Pamela, comes in. Marlena invites her to join them for teen therapy. She barters a meal for her attending one therapy session. After the snarky teen leaves, Bo questions that she let her talk to her that way. After she explains that as a doctor that yes she would. He tells her that she is a fascinating woman. Tony tells her that she has his financial help and whatever she needs, and agrees with Bo that she is a fascinating woman she is.

Roman arrives next to talk to Marlena and Bo who are still at “The Body Connection”. He tells Bo that pop has some chores he wants him to do. Hope walks in and Bo is surprised to learn this beauty is little Hope Williams. She is initially happy to see him, and shares that they used to play together as kids. He makes a comment about them playing doctor when they were kids, and asks if she still has that mole, embarrassing her. She gets snarky and tells him to “Drop Dead!” and walks out. Roman jokes about Bo going down in flames, “Still the charmer I see!” Bo follows her out and asks her to relax, that he was just giving her a hard time. He invites her to go for a run with him. She tells him she didn’t appreciate the remark he made in front of Roman today. He comments that she is in a bad mood. But she says she doesn’t go for his type.

Next, Hope is babysitting Carrie, Bo comes by to start wallpapering for Marlena. When Bo starts teasing Hope, Roman watches him to be careful with this one as Hope has a pretty mean temper. Hope is upset about her aunt, Marie, no sure if she is going to pull through and is in no mood for his jokes. Bo reassures her that Marie is a great lady and will pull through. A surprised Hope comments, "At this moment, I would almost swear you are human!" Bo asks Roman if he misses all the glamour and excitement and asks him if he misses it now that he has a more domestic life. Roman assures him he doesn't miss getting shot at! As Roman leaves, he warns Bo to be nice to Hope. Hope tells Roman not to worry that she can take of herself.

After Roman leaves, Bo calls her a phony and a little girl. Hope gives him the silent treatment and ices him. He gets her to talk about what she wants, kidding her that a woman like her just wants to be loved. She huffs at that, and he asks about her family. Obviously hurt, she reports that her father doesn't want her with him as Julie is more important to him (she is leaving with Roman and Marlena). Bo looks at her with concern. Hope climbs up on a step ladder to start removing nails for Marlena's wallpapering job and of course Bo catches her in his arms as she falls off the chair. Bo is very sweet to Marlena when she returns home and Hope comments on his crush on Marlena. She then admits to thinking that Roman is quite the hero. Eugene, Trista, and Kayla (the actress before Mary Beth) all arrive to help with the wallpapering job.

At Doug's Place, Doug complains about being broke as Hope walks in. She tells him that speaking of broke. He gives her some money but tells her not to make a habit of this. He asks if Julie has been telling him how spoiled she is? He admits that he told Julie he would give her a severe talking to. She tells him that Julie will be upset with her no matter what Doug does. Bo walks up and says, “Hello Little Girl!” He questions isn’t she too young to be in this bar? Doug counters that she is too young to be riding on Bo’s motorcycle in the middle of the night. Hope interrupts and says that was weeks ago and Go didn’t drive fast at all. Bo shows up Doug starts lecturing him on taking Hope out on his bike and forbides Bo to give Hope anymore rides on his bike. Hope takes the opportunity to ask for a car, that she is so isolated out by the lake that she wouldn't have had to ask Bo for a ride if she had her own car. They continue to banter and he leans in and kisses her on the forehead and tells her he doesn't chase girls on his bike, he chases women!

Bo and Hope run into each other on the docks. He asks her what is bothering her, if she is nervous about something. He tells her he is trying to figure her out. She says she is just trying to live her own life, though no one will let her. She says she doesn't live her life to impress anyone. he laughs as he points out her designer labels. She says she just wants to have fun with clothes, cars, and men. He laughs as she says that. He insults her and then tells her she "bugs" him and further hurts her feelings.

Next, they meet at the teen center. She tells him she will be volunteering at the hospital during the summer, its only one more week and she will be out of school! When he teases her, she threatens him with the broom. He takes it away from her and takes her to the park. She makes a wish on a dandelion, and he jokes that she is wishing for a sports car and a bunch of new designer clothes and several guys she can lead around by the nose. He annoys her when he calls her "little girl" and "little one". She says she doesn't want a guy she can lead around by the nose, he says he knows her. She says he doesn't know her, that no one does. He asks her what turns her on in a guy. She says someone sophisticated, fun, and very sexy. He leans into her, playing with her hair and seductively asks her if she finds him sexy and she says no but he is conceited. She is all bluster as she tries to tell him she knows the score, he doesn't believe her and realizing her innocence he tells her she's a nice little girl and she should stay that way. Annoyed, she calls him a creep and tells him she hates him.

Doug questions why Hope isn't in school, she says its finals week. Hope is estatic to get her driver's license and starts begging for a car. Dave hires Bo as a tennis pro at the Inn in exchange for room and board. Doug is less than thrilled to learn that not only is Bo working at the Lodge but living there too! He finds Hope seductively waiting for him in his bedroom. He brushes her off, and tells her he has things to do, going to the lake. She hints that sounds like fun, hoping he will invite her.

He says he just got the job and doesn't want to get fired already and he calls her little girl again and tells her he has a date with a 25 year old woman and saunters out. Hope is upset that her parents won't let her get a car until she gets more driving experiencing. Bo suggests she gets someone with a license to take her out. She heads over to ask David, and and he says no and suggest she ask Bo. She turns to Bo and he says goodnight and makes a quick getaway.

Bo wrapped in a towel can overhear Julie and Hope going at it. He leaves and Hope follows him to the docks and he comments that she gets around and keeps popping up every where. He pointed says that he was looking to be alone. He asks her about things with Julie, and she says they argue over everything. He says she needs a guardian but he isn't up for the job. She demands to know who asked him to, and starts splashing him and of course he splashes back. She asks him what is up as he seems sorta sad, she perceptively says its like he wanted something he can never have. He gloomily says he will never, ever get anything he wants.

Hope questions him about his plans for the night, and tries to get information about the woman she thinks he is dating. He asks her why she keeps digging at him all the time, every since he got back to Salem. She says she can be nice to people if she wants to. She says she never said she that she didn't like him. He asks her if she does like him? She grins and says, 'no". He asks her why she is always hanging around him. She points out that they live at the same place and he notices that she doesn't try to avoid him. She asks why should she? He says its like she wants to put him under a microscope to try to figure him out as she is so different from him.

He says that he thinks there is someone different under her tough guy phony act. She queries back, what is underneath his tough guy phony act? She wants to know what is it that he wants and can't get. He doesn't answer and gets up to leave, she asks if he is running away again. He says they are similar in one respect, that he likes to be around her and she likes to be around him, that they are both gluttons for punishment. He leaves saying, "goodnight, little one".

Hope then follows him to Shenanigan's, she has gotten a ride with a lounge lizard. Hope eyes Bo as he dances with an older blonde. When Bo goes to get a beer, Danny tells Bo that he doesn't like the guy Hope is with that he is 30 and way too old for her and bad news. Hope asks the guy to dance, and he starts grabbing her. She pushes him away, and walks out as Bo watches not too thrilled. The lizard follows Hope outside. Danny stops the guy at the door and tells him to leave the lady alone and the guy says she isn't worth the trouble. The lizard goes out another door, finds Hope outside, grabs her and starts forcing himself on her.

Bo comes outside, grabs the guy and punches him out. Hope begs him not to tell Doug or Julie and then softly asks him to take her home. He has his hand on her check, and seems to be leaning in towards her when Roman and Abe come down the stairs to the rescue as Danny told them there might be trouble. Roman suggests Bo take Hope home. Bo says no, that Hope isn't safe with him either.

Roman takes her back to the Inn, he wants to know why Bo was a jerk and refused to take Hope home with him. He tells Roman again that Hope isn't necessariy any safer with him. Roman isn't getting the clue, and suggests that Bo look out for her as she is almost a member of the family.

David tells Bo that his next client is Hope Williams, Doug has signed her up! Bo is less than thrilled. She comes down beaming over her new car. Hope is equally surprised to hear that she has been signed up to take lessons from Bo. He tells her to "suit up, doll face". Roman asks Bo to babysit Carrie, while Marlena asks Hope to babysit for her. Hope is less than thrilled to find out that there are conditions behind her new car, getting a math tutor, volunteering at the hospital, get into shape, and be in early all summer!

Hope comes in, with sore feet after Bo gave her a workout during their lesson. He says her tennis game would be better if she concentrated more. She says that she would pay more attention if he wasn't yelling at her. When she holds her shoulder in pain, he asks her if she wants a massage? She looks at him with a heated glance, and he tells her not to get excited he meant Julie!

Marlena is surprised when Bo shows up to babysit. Shortly after, Hope arrives and is less than thrilled to see Bo. She wants to know why he is there and Bo tries to leave but Roman returns home and stops him. Hope declares if Hope is staying that she is leaving! Mrs. H comes into the chaos and orders Roman and Marlena to go out to lunch and then puts Bo and Hope to work on fixing up the new house and neither dare to argue with her. The bartender for the housewarming shows up to start setting up. Hope goes upstairs and the bartender guy starts looking upstairs after her. When Bo asks if Hope is going to the housewarming, she brags that of course as she has a date with a gorgeous guy.

Back home, Roman & Marlena are in their empty new home for furniture delivery. Eugene arrives with a house warming gift, and soon their home is filled with the love and laughter of friends and family. The couch finally arrives!  HOUSE WARMING scenes. At the house warming, Bo coldly says that he knows Hope's date, Ronnie. He sarcastically asks him how the microwave business is? Marlena says she's always wanted a microwave and the guy says he sold Bo one. Marlena said that Bo had given her one but it turned out to be stolen so she couldn't keep it. She then realizes Hope's date must have stolen it, he realizes they are on to him and grabs Hope and runs out of the party. Marlena begs Bo to go after Hope and get her away from the thief. Bo catches up to Hope, she is alone as her date split. He tells her the stolen microwave story. Bo laughs at her, and is disgusted that he was a lousy, petty thief and that they are all laughing at her. She says sure, they are all probably laughing at her like he is. She starts to cry, and he hands her a handkerchief and she denies needing it. Abe reports that Ryan has been arrested and predicts that Hope will have some explaining to do to Doug and Julie.

Next, the bartender guy tries to take off with a box of Trista's things that had arrive that morning. Mrs. He stops him, he drops the box and takes off. Bo later asks Roman about the murder of Trista's mother and asks if they are doing anything about it? As he leaves, he declares he will solve the case.

Bo comes into the PD to check if they have caught up with the bartender. They report no but they did bring in his friend Ronnie for dealing with stolen merchandise. Bo reports Trista telling them about her mother’s murder and asks if they are doing anything about the 18 year old murder case? Roman tells him they don’t have any new info as they don’t have a lot of time to dig into this cold case. Roman suggests that Bo has plenty of time as he isn’t working right now.

Bo says that he is teaching tennis classes for room and board. Roman snarks that he isn’t making any money and isn’t supporting himself. He demands Bo grow up but Bo points out he isn’t freeloading off of mom and dad as Roman asked. Roman reminds again that he still doesn’t have a job making any money. Bo asks if Roman wants him to get a job like him? The last thing he would want to do is Roman’s job sitting in a stinking office. Roman tells him if he is determined to screw up his life to do it somewhere else. The brothers start yelling at each other and Abe interrupts asking Bo if he doesn’t have something else to do. As he leaves, Bo brags that he will find Trista’s mom’s killer and show them how it is done!

Hope sees R&M at the health club and her friend asks who Roman is? Hope dreamily muses, “The only real man I know!” Bo comes in and tells Marlena that there is a surprise for them at their house. Roman is suspicious about what he is up to? Bo reports that it is a microwave, one that he bought and paid for.

At the teen center, Hope asks Bo for a ride home as she is grounded indefinitely and lost her car priviledges. Bo asks if she is sure as she might get into more trouble riding on his motorcycle. She says it couldn't get any worse, then she cryptically says she has an idea to make things better. He runs into her at Shenanigans, and invites her to join him for lunch. She brushes him off, distracted. She calls Melissa and asks her for money so Hope can leave town. She tells Melissa she couldn't even buy lunch and she is starving. She goes back in and asks Bo if he has seen Danny. He asks what is bothering her? She denies that anything is wrong. She finds Danny and borrows money from him.

She goes to leave and Bo stops her and says if she hangs out while he eats that he will give her a ride. She eyes his food, starving but can't afford to buy lunch. Bo winds up buying her lunch. The entire time she acts very nervous and distracted. The next day, Danny tells Bo that Hope ran away and didn't come home all night. Bo is worried as she doesn't have street smarts and is probably already in trouble. Bo questions Melissa if she knows where Hope is, where she is hiding? Melissa denies any knowledge of where she is. Bo says Hope didn't really want to run away or she wouldn't have left the note. Melissa observes that Hope isn't really as tough as she makes out. Bo quietly says he knows that.

Meanwhile, Hope rents a room in a dive as a creepy guy watches her and later makes nice. Mrs. H stops Bo at the hospital and she asks him to look for Hope. She informs him that his mother and her have decided that Hope is still in Salem and that he is the guy to find her. She gives him a picture and begs him to do this and won't take no for an answer. Bo's dad shows up and is against the idea and tells Bo to stay out of it and let the police handle it. Shawn wants Bo to keep his nose out of the police business. Bo begins by looking for Melissa, seemingly now determined to find Hope in the face of Sean's opposition. Bo rightly has figured that Hope will turn to Melissa for money and comfort.

Bo starts questioning Melissa on where she has been all morning. She refuses to answer, makes an excuse and runs off. Mrs. H observes that she has never seen Melissa so nervous. Mrs. H thanks Bo for searching for her granddaughter. He says he would do anything for her, even look for Hope. Melissa meets Hope at the dock and warns her that Bo is suspicious and now looking for her. She repeats that Bo said Hope won't be able to get a job. Hope reports she is already looking. Melissa warns Hope that Bo is coming and Hope runs off just before Bo comes upon them. He finds the help wanted section of the newspaper and gives Melissa the third degree about who is looking for a job?

Bo shows Hope's picture at a diner and the waitress, Francy, recognizes her. He asks her to let him know if Hope comes back in looking for a job. Hope comes in just after Bo leaves and applies for the job.

6/27 Later, Bo is updating Roman and Shawn about his search. He overhears as Hope calls back at the diner and talks to another waitress, Myra, about the job. Myra confirms that Hope was indeed in earlier applying for a job. They all wait anxiously for Francy to return with Hope's address. Creepy guy sets Hope up, he gets her to take him to her motel and she invites him into her room to wait for his friend (other creepy guy who leaves across the hall). Myra tells them about the two creepy guys Hope was with. When Francy finally finds Hope's address, Bo grabs it and rushes out.

Meanwhile, creepy guy ties Hope up to the bed and starts ripping off her top. She screams in terror. Bo arrives first, hears her screams and kicks in the door. He is furious when he sees the situation and takes on the guy with the knife. He unties Hope and gives her his leather jacket. The rest of the gang arrive. Bo has one bad guy, and Shawn has stopped the other one (way to go Pop Brady!). Doug holds Hope and comforts her as she cries in his arms. Doug asks Bo to stay with Hope for just a minute while he calls Julie to tell her they found Hope. Hope begs him not to leave her.

She sits and cries while Bo stands rather uncomfortably at the door. She asks how he found her? He tells her about Francy, and then asks how she got mixed up with those guys? She thought they were nice. He realizes they figured out she was a runaway and set her up. He worriedly asks if she was raped? She says no, and he is visibly relieved. She is so devastated, and says he must think she is the biggest flake in the world. He agrees, then relents and takes her in his arms and holds her. Back at the diner, Roman credits Bo with finding Hope and thanks him for his help. Sean celebrates the three of them working together to catch the bad guys. Roman tells Bo that they are going to hire Hope to live at their house and help out around the house and help take care of Carrie.

Back at the Inn, Hope thanks Bo for coming to her rescue and tells him that she will never forget it. He offers her a ride home, and she tells him she is meeting some friends at the park and she would rather walk and suggests he walk with her. He says for just a little while as he has plans. She assumes it is a date. Once there, she tells him he doesn't have to wait to for her. He refuses to leave her alone, and she starts to say that she can take care of herself and stops and admits she has proved that isn't true. She seems rather subdued and Bo tells her she can't retreat in fear and stop leaving. He asks how life at Roman and Marlena's is for her? Sounds like punishment to him. He tells Hope about his troubled relationship with Roman.

Afterwards back at the dinner, Shawn and Roman are ready to celebrate, they are so relieved to have found Hope. When Bo comes in, Shawn tells him how proud he is that he saved Hope. Roman also tells him that he did a heck of a good job. Shawn says that the three of them worked together and caught that sleezeball. Roman tells Bo that he and Marlena would like to have Hope move in and babysit Carrie. They suggested the idea to Doug and Julie, would give some cool off time between Hope and Julie but ultimately it will be up to Hope. Bo jokes about a cushy job. Roman thinks what she has been through can change a person. Bo disagrees that it won’t change Hope Williams. She is wild, crazy, impulsive and she is definitely trouble! Shawn suggests it sounds like he is sweet on her.

Julie and Hope arrive as Hope is moving into Roman and Marlena’s. Roman tells Julie not to worry. Later, Marlena tells Roman that she loves having Hope around to help out with Carrie, making dinner, ect.

Bo's appointment is with Howie Hockstedder and asks him for a job as a detective.

The Fourth of July picnic is to raise money for the teen center. First Bo teases Roman by using one of his tickets for the kissing booth to kiss Marlena (Roman has already bought all of her tickets). Next, Bo goes up to Trista at the kissing booth and kisses her. Eugene pulls her out when he sees all of Bo's tickets and puts Hope in. Bo asks if she is old enough to man the kissing booth. He has two dozen tickets and asks her if she is up for it. She says that it is for a good cause. He kisses her on her forehead. Disappointed, she asks if that is it? He declares that he isn't paying to kiss her, that she isn't ready for it. She insists that she can handle it but he disagrees. She insists she can handle it, grabs his face and kisses him passionately. She pulls back and asks if that was worth two dozen tickets? He walks away, bemused, saying, "Whew!" The whole cast later sings "You Are My Sunshine”. Cute moment as Hope sits in front of Bo on his motorcycle looking quite cozy.

At home, Roman says he had a difficult day at work. Marlena knows he is worried about Liz. Roman tells Marlena that Liz signed a statement a few hours ago declaring it was an accidental shooting. He sighs and takes Marlena in his arms and holds her tight. He tells her about the look in Liz’s eyes when he had to arrest her. He tells her sometimes he hates being a job. Hope comes in bringing coffee and tells him she can’t believe he is talking about leaving the force. She tells him not to do that as Salem needs him as a cop. After Hope leaves, Roman tells Marlena that she has done a great job with that kid. After Pete’s probation officer calls Marlena, they have a big argument and Hope smiles in her room as she stares at a newspaper article of hero Roman and smiles dreamily, the beginning of her crush on him.

Roman has asked Bo to watch Marlena. Bo questions Marlena about who the bad guys are that he is supposed to be protecting her from. She says there isn't any that Roman is over-reacting. Hope comes along and asks what is up? Bo tells her that Roman wants him to protect Marlena from some of the creeps that hang out at the teen center. Hope hints that Bo is looking after Marlena for his own enjoyment, then he points out that Hope hasn't shown up for her tennis lessons. Howie calls and tells Bo that he passed the test and he is now an official licensed P.I. Bo's first case is investigating the murder of Trista's mother.

Everyone is disturbed to learn that Liz has been arrested for murder. Bo offers Hope a ride home, and once there does some snooping is a little annoyed to discover that Hope is making a scrapbook of glowing news articles about Roman for him as a present. Bo is less than happy to run into Hope and Roman having dinner together while Marlena is working. Bo joins them and when he and Hope are alone, Hope tells Bo that he is wrong about Roman that if his brother didn't care about him that he wouldn't be on Bo's back so much. He makes a comment about her age and she jumps on him and tells him she is tired of him calling her a little kid. He tells her he is just teasing.

Bo stops by to drop something off, Bo and Marlena leave and Bo stays for breakfast. Bo reminds her she has a tennis lesson that afternoon and she looks less than thrilled. Bo mentions that he is going to stop by "The Right Connection", where Marlena is working, to check it out as the newspaper had run an article that morning about gangs in that area. Hope reports that Marlena and Roman had argued that morning about it, Roman being worried for Marlena's safety and not wanting her to treat Pete Jennings.

Bo says if Marlena was his wife that she would do what he said! Hope retorts that its lucky for Marlena that she isn't his wife. Bo questions whether she will be checking for more newspaper articles on Roman? Hope insists that she is doing the scrapbook for Roman and for Marlena, not for herself. Bo doesn't seem to believe her and asks when she is moving out and suggests she return home. Hope isn't in any hurry to go back to living with Julie. Bo observes that she has a crush on his very married older brother and says it would be better if she moved out.

Bo sits on the couch and asks Marlena what is going on? Marlena tells Bo about a patient that tried to commit suicide today and sadly says that Roman isn’t coming home for dinner. Bo invites her out. At dinner, she tells him that they have been arguing a lot about Pete Jannings (sound warbles during this scene). She knows that Roman is worried about street gangs being dangerous. She understands as she worries about the danger involved in Roman’s job. Bo observes that he must have done something right to get her to marry him! She asks how long the animosity goes back? She guesses when Roman became head of the family after Shawn was injured. Bo admits that Roman was always the golden boy and did a pretty good job of holding the family together but Bo wasn’t as impressed as everyone else.

Marlena comments that perhaps Roman and Hope will be home by the time they get there. Bo tells her that he doesn’t need to be set up with anyone. She takes a rain check on his offer for a movie as she is eager to get home. He sees how crazy she is about Roman, he laughs that she can’t keep her mitts off of him. She asks him if he has ever been in love? He says no, he isn’t willing to take that risk. She says she thought he would take any risk once. He asks her if she is daring him to fall in love? He knows happily married people like to set everyone else up to share the misery. He goes on that he isn’t the white picket fence type. He likes adventure, freedom, action. He asks if she has been talking to Hope? She says no, but she knows Bo pretty well. She finds it interesting that he has been talking to Hope about freedom and smiles softly.

Hope returns home and finds a lamp broken, a table over turned, and a window broken and she thinks someone has broken in and calls Roman. He returns home, panicked that something has happened to Marlena, he has been worried about the gang involvement and her getting her hurt. Bo and Marlena return home and explain that the lamp was broken and Bo had turned over the table to fix the leg, and the neighborhood kids must have broken the window as they were out playing ball. Turns out Bo had told Marlena that he would call and tell Roman that they were going out to lunch and he forgot. Roman loses his temper and starts yelling at Bo about how irresponsible he is and when is he going to grow up.

Finally, Bo has enough and yells back and accuses Roman for never getting over their Pop getting hurt when he came to rescue Bo when he was playing in a dangerous area he wasn't supposed to be in, and then Roman mentions something about when Bo was 16 and Bo freezes and very determinedly tells Roman NOT to bring that up (leaving the viewer to wonder what that particular secret is all about). Scene cuts into Bo telling how he played on the docks when he was 10 years old, though he wasn’t supposed to. Bo got his foot trapped while playing. When Shawn rescued him, the boards gave way and he fell about 30 feet and was laid up for a year from the injury. Roman had to take over but Bo didn’t help, and wouldn’t listen to anybody. It gets heated as Roman yells that he doesn’t know the meaning on responsibility! Bo gets upset and starts yelling at Roman for always having his big nose in his business and storms out.

Later, Bo is repairing the window and Hope returns home from shopping. She shows Bo her new low cut sexy black coctail dress. He observes that it is a little fancy for babysitting and she is too young to go out drinking and dancing. She says she can go to "Doug's Place" and that she has a fake ID (just a thought is there anyone who works at her father's restaurant who don't know that his daughter just graduated high school! LOL!). Bo laughs that Roman will love to learn that Hope is planning on going out drinking with her fake ID. She insists that he not tell Roman.

He snarks that with her expertise at getting away with things that Roman will find out all by himself. Hope comes downstairs in her new dress and asks him if he likes? He says "not bad" and that he likes her hair down that way. She thinks her new hairstyle makes her look older. He questions why she is in such a hurry to look old? She clarifies not old, just older like the women he dates. She then points out that no one has seen him with even one of all the older women he claims to be dating. Hope asks what happened when he was 16, when he told Roman not to bring it up. Bo becomes very hostile and refuses to talk about it so Hope drops the subject.

Hope says that Doug and Julie are not going to be fans of her new dress, and that maybe she should just wear it around the house. This puzzles her, and he continues that after all that she bought the dress to impress Roman. She of course denies this was her motive. He further suggests that maybe she is also trying to impress him. She says maybe when he is 35 she might consider him. He snarks back that she might be woman enough for him by then.

She saunters off and comes back wearing another sexy off the shoulder dress. He declares, "Dynamite, you look at least 40!" She wants to know if he likes the dress and he says he does. She tells him that she is leaving, and he questions, "Like that?" Obviously not thrilled with her wearing that dress out by herself. He tells her that he won't be around to protect her as he is going to Florida to follow up a lead in Trista's mother's murder (does the woman not have a name?).

Bo comes into Shenanigans and tells Roman and Abe that he is going to Florida to work on the case. They both seem a bit amused and don't really take too seriously him being a Private Eye. Bo is confident that he is going to solve this case as Abe laughs. Abe tells him that he never lacks for confidence, and Roman chimes in, “Nor humility”. Bo says that maybe if they can find the boyfriend in the picture that maybe he will have additional info. Roman observes that finding a guy from a 20 year old picture isn’t going to be easy.

Hope enters wearing the new dress, and Abe comments to Roman that she seems a bit over-dressed. Roman says he thinks she is trying to impress someone, and they both figure it is Bo. Bo arrives in Florida and starts asking questions. Bo returns home and gives Roman a picture of Trista's mother's boyfriend. Bo arrives in Florida and starts asking questions, Bo’s plan is to find the boyfriend.

Bo shows up at Shenanigan's and joins Hope and Melissa. Hope is rude to him, and Bo says she is just mad at him because he is so anxious to get her out of the Brady's. She tells him it is none of his business and to leave her alone. Hope stands up, he grabs her on her way out and they share a heated look before she leaves. Danny says that she is a very pretty lady, a woman, and Bo is crazy about her. Bo shows up to tell Roman that he believes Trista is in danger and needs to be with someone at all times. He suggests that Trista will stay at Roman’s for a couple of days, and then the Horton’s and keep moving around.

Marlena calls that she is working late. Next Julie invites her to join them for dinner at the club. Julie asks if she can bring a friend? Julie says of course. Hope continues that Carrie is at the Horton’s and Marlena is working tonight, and her and Roman were just going to grab a burger. Bo is annoyed at her continued hero worship of Roman and heads out. Hope tells Roman that Julie has offered them dinner at the club. They go to dinner at the club, and she is wearing her new black dress. Bo comes in and sighs at Hope’s bid for attention from Roman. Julie understands his frustration and tells Bo that Hope is just too much sometimes, that she likes lots of attention. Bo tells her that he is worried Hope will get into trouble but she won't listen to him. Julie agrees that she thinks Hope has a crush on Roman and he agrees.

Bo gives Hope a warning look, not thrilled with her spending time alone with his brother. Julie calls and invites her for dinner, and says she can bring someone. Hope tells Roman that Julie has offered them dinner at the club. They go out and she wears her new black dress. Julie tells Bo that Hope is just too much sometimes, that she likes lots of attention. Bo tells her that he is worried Hope will get into trouble but she won't listen to him. Julie agrees that she thinks Hope has a crush on Roman.

Back at the Brady's, he tells her that she might fool everyone else but he sees right through her. He pulls her towards him, seems about to kiss her, but stops and says, "Someday, little one." (funny as he holds her, doesn't seem like she has Roman on her mind). She shows up at the Inn in response to Julie's summons. She doesn't seem to be in any hurry to leave Bo though, and he jokes that she can't tear herself away from him. She comments about the size of his ego and how unattractive it is, and accuses him of being arrogant. Yet, she doesn't leave and he tells her, "Face facts, you can't get away from me." She says, "Just watch me" and saunters off. He smiles as he watches her walk away, "My pleasure" he says to himself.

Hope comes tearing downstairs, visibly upset. Bo stops her, and tells her to come back upstairs and talk to him. He won't let her leave upset and he takes her up to his room. She is annoyed that Julie wants her to move back. He says that he and Julie are both trying to give her the same message, that his brother is off limits. She tries to slap him but he grabs her hand, and leans into her. He tells her to forget Roman, and strokes her hair. He very nearly kisses her but Doug interrupts and he absolutely forbides Hope to be in Bo's room.

Alex Marshall hides in Trista's room, he scares her, she screams, and Bo comes in and thinks Alex is the murdered. Turns out the murderer is Nora, she shows up and pulls a gun on Alex. She killed Trista's mother as she had taken Alex away from her. Bo overpowers her and gets the gun, then calls Roman to tell him he has solved the case! Marlena tells Hope and Mrs. H that Bo solved the case. The next day, Marlena reports that Alex is being questioned about the woman who murdered Trista’s mother but he was not directly involved in her death. Hope is astonished that Bo solved the case! Mrs. H defends him, “Now don’t you sell Bo Brady short! He is a very special young man.”

Bo finds Hope sitting in the sun on the docks. She accuses him that he put the idea of her having a crush on Roman into Julie's head. He says that Julie figured that one out all on her own. Bo tells her that her father has been getting on his case since he found Hope in her room and that he might have to move out. Evidentally, Doug believes that Bo is bad news where Hope is concerned. He tells her that her father is wrong that he doesn't have any intentions towards her, that she is just a frightened little girl. He tells her she is only chasing Roman because he is safe since Roman is in love with Marlena that he will never give Hope anything.

Bo tells her that he scares her as he is free and single. He tells her not to worry though as he isn't interested, and tempts maybe when she grows up. He dives in the water, splashing her. He jumps back up onto the dock, shirtless, and wet. He tells her she will always be his little sea witch. She is puzzled and a bit annoyed by this new nickname. He says, "Sometimes I almost disappear into those damn eyes of yours."

He puts his hands on either side of her face, and leans in to kiss her but she pulls away at the last second before their lips meet. They break apart and sit on the docks talking. She wants to know why he is always so critical of Roman. He says that Roman's lifestyle is not for him, working all the time, and no time to enjoy life, the 9-5 routine is not for him. She questions if maybe Bo isn't afraid of responsibilty like Roman says. He doesn't like Marlena's job working with "characters like Pete Jannings". He tells her if it was his wife, that his wife would do anything he said. She wants to know why because he would strangle her, he says no I would kiss her until she wanted to do anything he said. He brushes her lips with his finger. Sandy interrupts them and jumps in the water, splashing them both.

At Doug's Place, Hope has moved back into the Inn. He is glad she is home and tells her that her being at Roman's was nothing but trouble. She gets offended and tries to storm off. He stops her from going and tells her that she is overheated. She says it is hot outside. He holds her and tilts her chin up towards him, then runs a piece of ice down her face. She tells him to stop, that she hates it when he teases her. He suggestively asks, "Who says I'm teasing?" as he strokes her chin. She nervously says she has to go. He tells her that her father is right to worry about, and calls her "Hot Stuff".

Roman tells Marlena that Doug wanted an update about Hope and he reported that she hasn’t given them any trouble since she has been there. Marlena muses that they will have to find a new sitter when Hope goes back to school. Roman smiles naughtily and asks if she can hire someone just as nice as Hope. She laughs that he means good looking and promises the next sitter will be a bit older and a bit plumper than Hope as Marlena is no dummy. She will not be having any more sexy young things around him and they start smooching. Marlena calls Hope into their room and she tells them that their plans just changed. She has to be in court to testify tomorrow afternoon so she can’t leave for the fishing cabin in the morning. Marlena suggests that he go by himself in the morning, he can enjoy the fishing, and she will join him later by 5:00. In time for them to have dinner and take a nice slow walk around the lake as the sun goes down.

Marlena is at the Crisis Center trying to appeal to Jane who has locked herself in a room. She asks Bo to try to find Hope as her and Jane are good friends and perhaps Hope could get through to her. She stalls for time as she looks at her watch and reads a book and she finally comes out. Bo isn’t able to find Hope, Doug doesn’t know where she is.

Hope then follows Roman up to the fishing cabin in the mountains to bring him his fishing pool. A grateful Roman offers to make her a sandwich before she heads home. Roman feels it is about to rain and encourages Hope to be on her way but she stalls. He calls her on it and reminds her that she has a 90 minute drive ahead of her. She isn’t eager to go home as she will be going back to her parent’s and her and Roman won’t be living together anymore. She asks him if he meant that he doesn’t think of her as a kid and that he will really miss her. A puzzled clueless Roman says of course they will miss her (having NO idea where this is going). She says that she will miss him too, the first man who has been her life, the kind of man every woman wants.

Reality is beginning to dawn and he carefully asks her what she is getting at here as he puts some distance between them. She tells him that he is the kind of man she wants, that makes her feel like a woman. She says she doesn’t know if they will ever have a future together… he interrupts questioning, “Future?”She says she knows that he cares for her. And now he has his clue as he tries to stop her, “Hope…” She asks him if he could ever love her, if he would ever make love to her. He looks horrified at the situation he is now in but sympathetic. As soon as the words are out of her mouth, she can’t believe she just blurted that out and apologizes but it is all she really wants. He takes her over to sit down as they have to have a little talk. She thinks he hates her now. He tells her of course not, but he has a wife that he loves very much and he could never make love to anyone else.

Hope laments that she knows the first time is so special and she wants it to be him. Roman stammers a bit as he tells her that she shouldn’t give up her virginity just because she thinks she is ready to become a woman. She says that isn’t it, the way he touches her is so special, and when he looks at her and they laugh together. He tells her that isn’t reason enough to go to bed with someone. He tells her maturity has nothing to do with how old someone is, and being a woman doesn’t have anything to do with having gone to bed with someone. He asks her if she really thought he would? She cries that she needs to feel loved, to be loved. He assures her that she will be with someone who can return that love.

He tells her that sleeping with someone is a commitment, one he doesn’t think she is ready to handle. She wants someone to love her and open up that whole world for her, not just a friend, even a special friend. He tells her that some day she will really be in love with someone, not just infatuated and she would hate him if he had robbed that special moment from her. He has nothing to give her in return. She cries that she has made a fool of herself and begs him not to tell anyone, especially not Julie. He says nothing happened. He tells her to get going before the weather gets any worse as sounds of the storm beginning. At the door, he tells her that he hopes she understands what he was trying to tell her. He hopes she will talk to someone.

Roman goes to a pay phone to call Marlena. She is getting ready to leave. He tells her that it is pouring down rain and he thinks that she should wait till the morning to come up to join him. Roman comes upon Hope who has had car trouble and is stranded. He takes her back to the cabin. She worries that he will hate her now. He indulgently tells her that someday she will find someone very special and she will look back on this and wonder what she ever saw in Roman. Hope tells him she will always love him, she then kisses him just as Marlena and Bo come in the door.

Bo sees them together and he hits Roman. Hope takes off into the dark, rainy night. Roman asks Bo to go after her, he refuses and Marlena asks him to do it for her. Bo is furious with her. Hope is humiliated, and defends Roman. She tells Bo that she kissed Roman and he had nothing to do with it. He asks her if Roman had been willing would she have gone through with it? She admits she doesn't know. Bo forces her to go back inside and explain the situation to Marlena. Hope explains that Jane forgot to pack Roman's fishing pole so Hope offered to drive up and bring it to him.

Marlena wants to know if her parents wanted her to come home because Hope had a crush on Roman? Hope says no that it was because her dad needed her help. Bo clarifies that Julie realized Hope had a crush and she wanted her back home. Marlena wants to know how long this has been going on? Hope admits all summer. Marlena forgives Hope for trying to seduce her husband though she doesn't look too happy. Bo apologizes to Roman for hitting him.

On the way home, Hope is so embarrassed and dreading telling Julie her latest misadventure and having the whole town know about this. Bo pulls over so she can collect herself before they go back to the Inn. She says she wants to die, and will never be able to look Roman or Bo in the face again. Hope goes on to Bo about how she will never love anyone like she loves the good and honorable Roman. He is about to be sick hearing her going on about his brother. He tells her to take a look around her, that there are a lot of guys out there who can offer her a lot more than Roman. She is dreading telling Doug and Julie. Bo tells her not to worry that she will be in trouble again before she knows it.

Doug and Julie arrive and tell them that Hope won’t come out of her room this morning, that she is so embarrassed for coming onto Roman. Marlena is furious with herself, that she feels like she let Hope down by not seeing what was happening and saving Hope the hurt. Roman tells her it wasn’t her fault, that he should have seen what was going on. Julie declares she did see it happening and tried to put a stop to it. Marlena says that no real harm was done except to Hope. They just have to try to make her understand that all young girls have infatuation. Julie is just glad that it happened with a nice guy like Roman, as some men would have taken her up on her offer. Marlena admits to feeling jealous. Doug laughs that Julie would have pulled out a six shooter. Marlena tells them no more apologies, it happened and now time to move forward.

At Shenanigans, Danny asks about the scrapbook she is making for Roman. She figures Bo has been talking to him about her. He is clueless as Bo obviously hasn't said anything. Hope is telling Melissa all about the drama from the night before. Bo walks in, and Melissa makes an excuse to go to the bathroom. Bo joins a lady, and Melissa and Hope leave.

Shortly after, Melissa calls Bo and asks him to meet them down at the waterfront that they have just found out something pretty awful and need his help. He joins them and they tell him that Jane set this up, she deliberately didn't pack his fishing pole to give Hope an excuse to drive up there. Then she faked a suicide attempt to keep Marlena in the city, leaving Hope alone with Roman.

Hope is really disturbed by this and worries that everyone will think that Hope planned this all. The threesome go to Roman and Marlena and tell her about Jane's confession. Hope is relieved that they believe she didn't have anything to do with this plot. Marlena praises Bo's instincts, he is the only one that suspected Jane's suicide attempt wasn't valid.

DVD#1B Later, they wind up on the docks. Bo considerately drapes his jacket around Hope's shoulders. He tells her that he misses being in the Merchant Marines. She says maybe she should join up, that she loves boats and the water. Hope is still reeling from embarrassment and feeling incredibly foolish. Bo strokes her face softly and tells her she is just suffering from a guilty conscience and reassures her that everyone doesn't hate her.

One night, she tells Danny she isn't feeling well and heads home early. As she is leaving Shenanigan's, she tries to avoid Bo seeing her. He tells her that she can't keep running, hiding. She tells him that she is going to boarding school in Boston the following week. He tells her that running away isn't taking control of her life, going to some place nice and safe. She reminds him that he left town when he was only 16.

Bo and Melissa are swimming down on the docks. Hope joins them and tells them that her father won't let her go to boarding school. Bo smiles, doesn’t look disappointed at all!

A happy Bo runs into Hope at Shenanigan's. He cryptically says something about plans for the night and making big bucks. Hope makes eyes at a guy at the bar, while Bo glowers as he watches her. Hope notices that all of the guys are leaving and wonders where they all went? We see Bo and a group of guys throwing dice outback.

9/1 Great quality! Hope goes up to Bo’s room. She seems to be a bit distracted to see a shirtless Bo answer the door. She questions him about where all the guys went last night? She asks if he told them all to stay away from her. He says that its not a bad idea. She smiles to herself as he leaves the room.

Downstairs, a very well dressed valet shows up bearing fancy invitations on a silver platter for a black tie party at the Dimera mansion that very night. Liveried waiters hand-deliver invitations to the citizens of salem for a Black-Tie ball being held at the DiMera mansion, that promises the "Announcement Of The Year”! A dressed-up Bo is filling in for David at Doug's Place.

Everyone is worried about David Banning. Julie worries that David is so angry at Renee that he will go after her with a knife. Hope comes down dressed in a black evening gown for the party. Both Doug & Julie suggest that she wear something else more appropriate. She makes excuses and says she will go change and then later shows up in the dress at the party.

David calls and talks to Bo and tells him that they shouldn't go to the Dimera's party, then David admits to wanting to kill Renee. Bo shows up at the party to tell Doug and Julie about David's call. He tells them that David made threats against Renee.

The guests begin to arrive at the DiMera mansion for the Black-Tie gala, and are buzzing with curiosity and anticipation. Tony rushes in, furious that Renee is having a party in his house. He storms upstairs. Renee finally makes her entrance looking very glamourous. She tells the assembled crowd that if they knew the party was for her and Alex, nobody would have shown up! She then makes the "Announcement Of The Year" She and Alex Marshall are not only engaged, but married! She then turns to Alex and snarls that he is "scum" does not want him near her!

9/2 Great quality! Renee calls out the citizens of Salem one by one whom she felt had looked down on her and made her life miserable. She announces that Tony is her one true love.

Hope teases Bo about how much he is enjoying himself for a party he wasn’t actually invited too. As Bo listens in, Anna’s brother hits on her. Bo rolls his eyes at the cheesy lines.

Later, a shaken and hysterical Delia standing at the bottom of the stairs with blood on her hands, screaming "Murder! Murder!"

9/5 Great quality! Renee is found murdered upstairs from the party. Roman rushes upstairs and Bo is right behind him. Roman takes charge, and Bo follows his orders. Roman tells Bo she was stabbed to death.

Later, Joan from Salem PD overhears Hope telling Melissa that David ran out of the house earlier that day with a knife in his hand. Roman questions Hope over this. Julie overhears that they are putting out an APB on David. In order to protect David, Julie confesses to the murder and is arrested. Larry is all too eager to press charges.

9/6 (?) On the terrace, Bo takes an upset Hope into his arms. She is worried about David. He calls her “Little One” and “Sweet Pea” and she warns him to stop calling her those names. She wonders if Roman said anything about her? He asks if she is still worried about what Roman thinks of her, and she admits she probably always will. He points out that she just asked Roman to make love to her and that has happened to him by thousands of women! LOL!

Brett (Anna Dimera's brother) shows up at her placeand Hope invites him in, and Bo enters as well. He is checking in on her family to see if they need anything and asks if Julie has a good attorney. Bo jumps in that she has the best. Brett rather territorially puts his arm around Hope. As Brett is leaving, he makes some sappy comments about them being drawn together and being there to help each other through it. Bo makes a snarky comment. Hope worries about where David is.

Another night at Shenanigan's, a rather jealous Hope watches as Bo leaves with a pretty blonde. Outside, they start kissing and a distracted Bo pulls away and tells her no.

Out on the docks, she hits on Bo and he turns her down. Then he sits on the docs and thinks of Hope. He imagines she tells him that she wants someone like him.

9/? At the park, two Viper gang members hassle Bo, one slashes Bo's hand with his knife. Hope and Melissa come upon Bo, Hope asks what happened to his hand. He lies and tells her that he cut it while working on his bike.

That night, Hope dreams first of Roman, as he lays sits on the bed next to her and wishes her good morning. Bo interrupts and tells Roman that his wife is looking for him. He tells her that he is the man she wants and rips open his shirt (you can hear the buttons popping!). A now shirtless Bo sits down on her bed and tells her that she wants a man, one that doesn't have to ask for permission to touch her. he declares he is going to make a woman out of her and begins kissing her.

The next morning, Hope seems unsettled and Bo asks her why she is staring at him. Bo tells her that he wants to investigate the murders of Kelly and Renee. Hope worries that could be dangerous. Later, Marlena asks Bo to stay out of the investigation as it will cause trouble between him and Roman.

Two Vipers confront Bo in his room, flashing knives warning him against following Pete Jennings. Hope comes up as they are leaving, and barechested Bo fills her in. She asks him to stay away from Pete as he can't possibly take on the whole gang. He tells her that she is more dangerous to him than the Vipers. Puzzled, she asks what he means.

He holds her face, and tells her that he can handle the vipers just fine but if her father finds her up in his room at this time of the night that he would be dead meat. He kisses and nuzzles her check. He gets ready to go out and she wants to know where he is going? He says he always gets hungry when he is scared. She is surprised that the gang bangers frightened him. He clarifies that its not them but sometimes she scares the hell out of him.

They go to Shenanigan's, Danny is upset and he tells them that Trista has been stabbed. Bo runs out to Trista's to find out what is going on. They find out that Trista is murdered. Bo is touched when Hope is worried about him.

Later, Hope signs for a letter for Bo and heads upstairs to delivery it. She finds a shirtless Bo sitting on his bed. The note offers information about the murders.

Melissa and Hope come upon Bo in the park working on his bike. Bo wants to solve the case and earn the $50,000 reward. Hope loves the idea and slips and says that then "they" could buy a sailboat and sail around the world. Bo gets an anonymous tip, its a Viper setup. Hope sneaks into his room, reads the tip and follows him. Bo is jumped.

9/29 Hope finds a Bo being beaten by the Vipers outside the warehouse. They are both held at knife point. Hope is screaming as they beat Bo up, he is stabbed in the arm and the leg. A knife-wielding Viper threatens them and tells Bo to leave town. They tell him they won't kill him, this time but hope he learns a little respect. They warn him to leave town.

Bo refuses to let Hope call the police. She is desperate to get him to the hospital, he refuses. He begs her to not go anywhere and just stay with him. He wants to know how she knew where he was, she admits she followed him and he is glad now she did. She uses the first aid skills she has learned while working at the hospital to bind his wounds. He refuses to go to the hospital and he says no and if she can't do this that she should just go.

She cries that she won't leave him. He tells her they have to get out of there and for her to help him up. He passes out and she screams in terror. He comes too and one of the Vipers returns and warns Bo to get out of town and informs her they trashed Hope's car so she gets him on his bike and drives him to Shenanigan's, he can't believe it.

Hope takes a wounded and bleeding Bo to his hideout above Shenanigins. Bo decides to go underground to heal and hide from the Vipers. Bo wants her to go home so she won't get in trouble with her folks, she cries that she won't leave him. She tells him that he needs her and she won't leave him to bleed to death. She thinks to move the bike so the vipers won't know that he is there and tells him that no one saw her and no one knows they are there.

Bo tells her to get Danny as he needs to know not to send anyone asking for him up to his room, that no one else knows he rented this room. While he sleeps, he mutters the name Megan. Hope questions him about it the next am while she feeds him. Bo and Hope overhear the Vipers planning a break-in at Roman and Marlena’s. Danny brings food from downstairs up to Bo. He begs him to call Roman and warn him that Marlena is in danger.

9/30 Hope brings Bo a doctor's bag of medical supplies (stolen from Dr. Tom Horton, no less!) to Bo in his hideout. Hope leaves the room and secretly calls Kayla to help her go through the stolen medical bag and figure out which drugs can help Bo. Bo is furious when Kayla arrives but soon calms down. Hope updates a very worried Kayla on the situation. Nurse Kayla changes his dressings and wounds and wraps up Bo's bruised ribs. Kayla is worried as he has a 104 temperature. She tells them that Bo needs a doctor. Kayla tells him if he isn't better in one day that she is going to call Roman and have Bo put in the hospital.

Hope begins telling Bo how special he is, but he doesn't hear her as he has fallen asleep. When he wakes up, Hope shows him the map she has made of the Viper territory. He tells her she has done a good job and calls her "Little One". He doesn't seem to like that nickname for her any longer, shakes his head and tells her he will have to find her a new nickname. She says especially since he called Melissa, "Sweat Pea" the other day (funny as much as she said she didn't like that nickname, she hated hearing him use it towards Melissa).

The Vipers are watching Hope and see her enter Shenanigan's and go upstairs and figure that is where Bo is hiding out. Hope is relieved when later his fever has broken. She shows Bo a new gray sweatshirt and then takes a pair of scissors to it and cuts it up (very much 80's flashdance style !).

He realizes how tired Hope is and gets her to lay down next to him. He says in his current condition he is no danger to anyone. He tells her how much he appreciates her taking such good care of him, he seems surprised. He tells her he owes her an awful lot and thanks her as he strokes her hair. Unfortunately, now she is asleep and doesn't hear his compliments.

10/4 Danny brings Bo a cane to help him get around while he is mending. Bo tells Danny he has some unfinished business. Danny urges him that he needs backup, like a militia. Bo is planning on going after the Vipers. Hope doesn't understand why he doesn't go to the police and press charges. He says he intends on going after the Vipers one by one. Bo admits to Hope that he himself was in a gang years ago, and that is is part of the reason that he and Roman do not get along.

He wants Hope to go home to her family that night, of course she refuses. He wants her to wear a disguise, she refuses to leave him. He warns her that her parents are probably going to ask her to stear clear of him for awhile and is concerned asks her if she will agree? She says lets worry about one problem at a time.

When he mentions her crush on Roman, Hope tells him she is over that. He tells her it isn't a good idea to stay another night that he isn't so pure and noble like Roman. She tells him she wants to stay. He tells her she doesn't know what she is talking about and he isn't going to be the one to teach her, not tonight. She leans into him and puts her arms around his neck and says, "Why not?" He tells her she has him at a disadvantage, that she can come onto him all she wants and he can't do anything about it. He tells her she is a sea witch.

The Vipers suspect Bo is hiding out in the apartments above the bar and the set fire to the building to smoke Bo out. Bo and Hope come running downstairs as Danny evacuates everyone. Speed pulls a gun, Hope comes down the stairs, sees the gun and screams. The gang banger swings the gun towards her, Bo jumps in front of him and knocks his arm away as the gun fires. Danny and Bo knock out the gang members who are then arrested.

When its all over, Hope wants Bo to go to the hospital and he finally agrees to go see Sandy Horton. Bo tells Hope to call her Pop and tell him she is going home.

Dvd #1C Bo thanks Hope for taking care of him and kisses her on the forehead, a tender moment. He offers to go with her to explain everything to her parents, but she says she can handle it.

10/? They run into each other at Shenanigan's, Hope asks how he is feeling? He says he is fine thanks to her, that she took great care of him. She says anyone would have done it and he says he doesn't think so. He offers to let her check for herself and she blushes. He says he is healing extremely well. Bo tells her that the Vipers will be out of jail soon. She is upset that he is still planning on going after them. Bo tells Hope that she left some of her things in his room. He seductively suggests that she come up to get them. She nervously agrees.

He drapes her scarf around her neck, and asks her if she left her things behind so she would have an excuse to come back to pick her things up. She says that is a stupid theory. He ties the scarf around her, pulling her close, she nervously backs away. H teases her and laughs as she is so nervous, he comments he has never seen her like this. He asks her again if she left her stuff so she could come back to see him?

She says, "What if I did, would that be so bad?" He says no, he is glad she is here. At this admission, he changes the subject and tells her he is hungry and they can go get something to eat. She seems disappointed at him missing the opportunity to kiss her. At the door, he suggests that they don't have to go out that they can pick up Chinese food to go and come back to the room. She nervously looks back towards the bed and says she doesn't feel like Chinese food tonight.

They go out to dinner and run into Mr. and Mrs. Horton. Mr. H seems to be worried about Hope. Bo assures him that he can trust him with Hope, that she is safe with him. Hope says that she heard that Mr. H used to be a bit on the wild side when he was young.

They walk down on the docks afterwards, Bo laughs at the thought of Mr. H being like him when he was young. She asks him if he has ever really been in love? He asks, "like you were with Roman?" She denies that she was in love with him, that it was just a crush. She tells him again that its over. She questions him about his romantic history, asking him again if he was ever in love? He says no. She asks "what about Megan?" But he refuses to discuss her with Hope and changes the subject and says he needs to get her home before her curfew.

Melissa and Hope are down on the docks and talk about fall coming. Melissa teases Hope when she sees one of Bo's motorcycle gloves in Hope's things. Back in his room, a shirtless Bo sits and thinks as a song about loving a woman plays on the radio. After Melissa leaves, Bo comes along and also notices his motorcycle glove. She says she found it in the parking lot and planned giving it back to him when she saw him. He places it on her hand and kisses her exposed fingertips. Bo takes her to the teen center, and finds a note that Pete Jannings left for Marlena. (Here is the next spot that I inserted new scenes, reduced quality).

Sandy finds Bo laying on the floor and thinks the worst, he tells her he was just sleeping to keep an eye on the place. Bo tells her that Pete returned last night but got away when Pete pulled a gun. Roman arrives and Abe threatens that they are interfering in a murder investigation. Bo shows him a note that he left for Marlena that he needed her help. Pete had a gun and took a shot at them. Bo shows him the slugs in the wall. Roman is furious that Bo didn’t even make a single phone call, they could have had this place surrounded. Bo says that is what he was afraid of, Pete going on the run and them missing him. Roman is upset as Marlena is at risk from Pete. Bo promises that he will get him next time. Roman yells there will not be a next time, that he is off this case. Roman warns him that if he gets any additional information about this or any other investigation to call him!

Tony DiMera has invited Danny, Melissa, Bo and Hope to come out and go horseback riding. At the stables, Hope asks Bo if he misses life on the road and he says less and less as he looks at her intensely. He leans in towards her and she looks away, and then pulls away. He asks her not to be afraid of him. She says she isn't. He brings his lips very close to hers and is about to kiss her and then he pulls away. Then she has a fantasy, of Bo in a tux with white gloves, and her in a formal gown, dancing together still in the barn and they kiss passionately. Bo asks what she is thinking of and she tells him she thinks she is falling in love with him. He is then the nervous one and asks her to repeat what she just said? She repeats it.

He is surprised, she apologizes and says she shouldn't have said that. He says she doesn't know him very well. He likes her, he likes her very much but talk like that can lead to trouble. He wants to take things a little slower and she asks him if he is afraid of her? He says yes! She observes that he must think she is really dumb. She is disappointed that he only admitted to liking her. She says she thought he felt more for her. He says he would be lying if he said she didn't turn him on. He just doesn't want to get in too deep, as it leads to a lot of trouble, a lot of hurt. He doesn't want to act before he thinks, or be too impulsive though she makes it very tough. He says that she makes him think of white picket fences but neither of them are ready for that.

10/18 - 10/26/83 Bo, Chris, Howie, Doug, and Danny have a meeting about trying to find out how is harrassing Liz in prison and why. He plans on doing it from the inside, that Neil is paying the bill for this service. Howie warns them that if they get it in they might not get out! They agree that Liz can't know anything about it to protect her. Bo asks Doug to set up a phony production company, they are going to do a documentary on prison life and protray a camera crew.

Bo shows up at Doug's Place, looking for Doug and tells Julie that it is urgent. As Bo starts to walk away from Hope, she asks him not to ignore her. She tries to play it off as just being part of the romance of the moment. He says talk like that can just lead to trouble. He is not ready to be tied down to anything or anybody not matter how beautiful she is. Hope insists she wouldn't be tied to her. He says yes, that if he started something with her there would be no turning back. Doug arrives and Bo asks to see him in private. Bo reports that he has an appointment with the prison superintendant.

10/28-11/3 Bo and Danny talk about the case while stopping at a bar. They discuss how they are going to get into Rhinehart before Liz gets hurt. When Bo sees a guy manhandling a woman in the bar, Bo wants to intervene while Danny wants to stay out of it (scene freezes for a second). Bo brings the woman, Suzanne, to safety, and Bo goes outside with the guy and takes care of business. He then goes back into the bar to the very grateful woman who he offers to buy a drink. They go back to his place together and afterwards she wants to talk. She invites him to breakfast in bed and starts making future plans as she really likes him. He bursts her bubble when he tells her he likes to wake up alone. She asks him if this is a kiss off or is she going to see him again. She realizes there is another girl. He warns her she is pushing him but he doesn’t like to be pushed. After she leaves, Bo tosses and turns and has a restless night.

Melissa and Hope are dressed up for Halloween and give out candy to the trick or treaters. Meanwhile Bo & Danny go to their meeting with the Superintendent of the prison and try to sell her on a documentary to make the prison looks good. After they leave, she says no way she will allow them access to the prison as it will ruin their scheme. They have to keep the guys away from the warden. (Later Bo and Danny tell Doug and Tom about getting into seeing the warden though I don’t have those scenes). When Hope comes home still wearing her Halloween costume, she is thrilled to see Bo there. She assumes he came there to see her, and is surprised as he told her that he didn’t want to “get involved”. Bo is abrupt with her and rushes out as she calls out after him that she has to talk to him about something important. (reduced quality scene of Melissa and Hope back to giving out candy). Bo and Danny go back to his room. Danny tries to talk to him about Hope as he knows Bo has feelings for her but Bo changes the subject. Then he admits that he the problems with Hope is that he can’t get her out of his mind.

Hope goes to Bo's room, and asks her to go to the Country Club party with her. He tells her he is pretty busy, and is a bit abrupt. He is distracted as he is in the middle of working on this case but Hope doesn't know about it. She finds a camisole laying on the floor of his room, near his bed. She runs out of his room, crying. Ruth Buzzi does a guest appearance as "Leticia", Eugene's cousin. Bo encounters Hope at Leticia's, and says he knows she knows he spent the night with another woman. She points out that situation is a two way street. Larry Welch, and then Roman arrive next. They are looking for Eugene and have reason to believe that he is there.

11/83 Hope invites Bo to Melissa's party. He says he is busy for the next week and can't make it as he won't be around for the next week. She asks him if its another woman? Maybe the one who left her teddy in his room, or Megan, the one he talked about in his sleep? He tells her there is no other woman and she should know that, but he has to leave and can't talk to her now. She looks at a ring and dreams that it is Bo putting it on her ring finger.

11/4 Hope says her goodbyes to Julie as she will be gone to stay with Melissa for a few days. As she is packed and ready to go, Julie questions her about her obsession with Bo and if she has seen him that day. Julie snarks she feels Hope deserves someone who has more to offer than a torn sweatshirt.

Meanwhile over at the prison, an inmate and a guard talk about how scared Liz is of them. Liz has a fantasy of Bo & Danny rescuing her. Danny and Bo are working undercover at the prison filming a movie to ferret out corruption. Hope follows Bo and hides out in the production van. They are not happy to discover Hope in the van and tell her that they are going to blow their cover. They are being followed by the superintendent of the prison who isn't really convinced that they are legitimate. They plan on distracting the guards so Hope can slip out of the van and take a bus back to Salem. The guards open the van door and prevent Hope's escape. They introduce her as their assistant and apologize for not letting the superintendent know about the third person.

Bo is really ticked off that Hope is in the middle of this very dangerous situation. He warns her to do what she is told and keep her mouth shut or she can put them and Liz in a lot of danger. The superintendent notices the ring on Hope's finger and assumes she is married. She says, yes that she is Bo's wife! They introduce her as Hope Resnick. Bo and Hope are given a cottage with one bed to share. Hope is a bit nervous at the announcement that her and Bo will be sharing a cottage with a double bed. Bo suddenly doesn't seem so upset as he grins at her nervousness.

When they are alone in the cottage, he warns her to be quiet while he checks the room for bugs. He goes back to being angry and yelling at her. She apologizes again for making this mistake and suggests instead of yelling at her that he fills her in on what she needs to know so that she doesn't blow his cover. He asks her about the ring and she tells him that it was her mother's.

She sits and starts brushing her hair out. He asks if she does that every night, she says yes, 100 strokes. He offers to help her and she sits on the bed in front of him and he starts brushing her hair. He notices the perfume that Leticia gave her (an aphrodisiac) and quickly hands the brush back to her. He puts the covers on the floor and tells her it is time to get some sleep. She offers that he can sleep on the bed with her, that she won't bite him. He says no he can't. She says she will stay under the covers and he can stay on top of them. He says no that it wouldn't stay that way. Hope does slip and call him Bo in front of the superintendent, she becomes even more suspicious.

The next morning as they wake up in the prison cottage, Bo tells Hope that she looks real cute in the morning without all of that make up, that she is prettier without all of that (as he softly strokes her face). Bo and Hope have overslept, and Danny comes in and sees the rumpled bed and makes some assumptions about how they spent their night before. Bo tells Danny about how Hope slipped and called him Bo. Danny has set bugs in the recreation room and discovers that they have rigged one of the lights to electrocute anyone who touches it.

As Bo and Hope are setting up the lights to start shooting their pretend documentary, Danny rushes in and switches out the light before Hope plugs it in. Danny makes an excuse to get them all back to the cottage so he can tell them about the attempt on one of their lives. Hope is scared, and Bo would like to get her out of there. Danny warns them that they aren't going to let Hope leave the prison, that she wouldn't get very far, that these people play for keeps. They plant bugs all over the prison, including in the superintendent's office.

Later that night, Bo and Hope go back to the cottage alone. Hope is worried that they prison people are on to them. Bo reminds her to think about Liz and what she has been through every day. Hope asks Bo to hold her, and of course he obliges her. The next morning as Hope sleeps, Bo brushes her hair back form her forehead. He then picks up her left hand, and kisses her hand that is wearing the fake wedding ring.

Hope wakes up startled, scared, and hugs Bo after having a nightmare. He says he knows that she kept him up, and he snuggled with her and that she went back to sleep. He tells her to stick close to him, no matter what. He says that this day will be their last day, that they will get enough information from the bugs to finish the job. They go to the superintendent's office and runs into Liz.

They tell her that Neil is funding their investigation and that they are here to help her. Danny is searching for the bug, and realizes its not there and their cover has been blown. The alarm sounds, Bo grabs the tapes back at the cottage but a guard comes in to stop him. Bo punches the guard and makes his escape. Danny and Hope are waiting in the van. The superintendent talks to her assistant and says she knew they were a phony production company but she needed their help gathering evidence about the corruption she also suspected.

They arrive back at the PD, escorted by an officer for speeding. Bo hands over the incriminating tapes they collected from Rhinehart prison, turns out the warden had paid off the judge so that Liz's appeal wouldn't go through. Abe tells them they will have the guard and the warden in custody by the next morning. Bo shows Hope his new apartment. Bo tells her she handled herself very well in the prison. Chris and Sandy show up, Chris wants to know how Hope ended up at the prison. Hope is flattered when Bo tells Chris that Hope came through under pressure. Chris offers to take her home but Bo turns him down, saying that he needs to talk to Doug.

Hope asks him how it feels to be out of danger? She came within inches of touching a rigged electrical outlet set to electrocute! Bo grins says he doesn't really think they are out of danger yet, and he better get her home (referring to them being alone together in his room). Bo is ready to take Hope home, but she says no and kisses him and he kisses her back! She tells him again that she is falling in love with him. He doesn't seem to trust that she knows what love is yet and questions how does she know it is love? She asks him not to pull away from her. He says that they need to want the same things.

Bo notices that she wears her mother’s ring on her left hand and asks her why? Busted over her fantasy, she says it was just her being silly. Bo senses Hope wants a commitment, marriage. He isn't ready for that and says she is too young. He says that he isn't ready to make a commitment and he can’t have a casual relationship with her and can’t offer her more. She tells him they don't have to be married to make love. He is taken aback, surprised at this. She is touched as he says he can't have a casual affair with her as she is too important to him. He tells her there are things from his past that he has to resolve. She guesses that it involves a woman. He is ready to take her home and she says no, she wants him to tell her about his past and what he has to resolve to move forward.

He tells her he doesn't want to be in a position to get hurt again or hurt her. Hope says she would never hurt him and she wants to know what happened. He doesn't want to talk about it and refuses to tell her. He says he is sorry that he let things get this far between them. She tells him that if he ever does decide that he wants her or needs her, that she is there. Doug begins pounding on the door, demanding to be let in. He and Julie enter, irate over Hope being in danger and yells that he almost got her killed. Doug is furious that Bo took her to the prison with him. Hope explains that she stowed away and that Bo didn't know or plan on her going with him.

Hope dreams of making love to Bo. Melissa isn't happy with Hope for putting her in the position of having to lie to cover for her. Bo arrives next, and Melissa is mad at him too. She blasts both of them for putting her in the middle of this. Doug comes in next and starts in on them again, and this time he takes Melissa to task over this. Bo defends Melissa, that she was only helping to protect Hope. Doug isn't buying any of it, though Bo tries to explain how this happened and that there was no way to drop Hope off without blowing their cover.

Mickey arrives next and he joins in the blame fest. They both blast Bo for getting Hope and Melissa in trouble again. Doug tells Bo again to stay away from Hope, and Mickey also tells Bo to stay away from Melissa. Hope tells Bo that she couldn't promise her parents to stay away from him. Mickey tells Bo that what he did at the prison took brains and courage, but Melissa and Hope are a separate issue. Dvd #1D 11/15 - 11/21 Starts off reduced quality black and white scenes. Bo runs into Anna, and she is worried about Roman. He asks if she can sit and talk to him for a minute. He asks that she doesn’t really think Eugene is a killer does she? She admits that he is weird but even Eugene is deranged enough to do it. Bo defends him and Anna questions why he is sure that Eugene didn’t do it. Bo shares that Euge is smart enough if he was going to kill someone, he wouldn’t have used a knife that could be traced back to him. He also loved Trista more than anything in the world and he would never have done anything to hurt her. Bo knows Eugene didn’t do it, but he does think it is someone they all know.

Quality improves as Bo joins Eugene. Bo is surprised that Eugene is job hunting, he realizes he was hit very hard by Leticia’s death. Eugene questions who would have killed the two women in his life? He asks Bo if he could have blacked out and done such a thing and not remember? Bo assures him no, that he is the sanest person he knows. Bo is heading to the PD to check up on Rhinehart and Eugene offers to accompany him.

Back to black and white as had to splice in missing Bo scenes. At the PD, a message appears on the computer screen. Larry Welch comes in looking for Roman and whines that no one seems to know where he is? Bo points out that Roman solved the Salem Stranger case and put Stefano DiMera commission. And now while Larry is butting in where he doesn’t belong, Roman is out on the streets looking for clues.

Doug tries to talk Hope out of seeing Bo, and continue to argue. She refuses to stop seeing Bo Brady! She isn’t going to lie to him, but she insists she is going to continue to see Bo. She points out that she will be 18 soon and it is time for her to make her own decisions. He asks how far her relationship with Bo has gone. They are interrupted by Mickey and Melissa who join them and Hope doesn’t have to answer the question. Doug gives Melissa grief for lying, but she says she did it to protect Hope. She laughs though and admits she is a lousy liar. Doug tries to return to the former topic and asks if she is dating anyone else. She says she isn’t even dating Bo. Doug wants to know what that means? She says her and Bo are “working it out”? Mickey tells them both that their fathers love them very much and they can rely on them for protection and love. He insists they aren’t trying to stop them from growing up. Melissa shares she has a date with the cutest boy in school, his name is Alan Riley as Mickey shakes his head in distress.

Quality improves as Bo arrives to see Roman and Marlena. Marlena offers that Bo could bring a date for their dinner together that night. A distracted Roman leaves for work. Marlene tells him Mrs. Brady is making her pork roast. Marlena starts to cry and Bo comforts her. Later, the Horton and the Brady families arrive for dinner. Shawn declares they are going to eat, drink, and be merry and not worry about their troubles. Marlene softly tells them how much she loves them all. Roman arrives home, looking stressed. He is surprised to see so many people there and then Bo walks in through the back door. Roman can’t believe she left the back door unlocked! He lectures her about a killer being on the loose. She assures him she will be more careful, she just forgot. He apologizes for jumping on her.

Bo follows Roman upstairs, and lectures Roman on leaving his bedroom door unlocked. Roman doesn’t think his joke is funny. Bo assures him that he didn’t come up to hassle Roman. Roman thanks Bo as he heard that he defended him to Larry. Shawn enters as Roman heads to take a shower. Shawn is glad to see Bo realising what a good man Roman is. Shawn is proud of him for following in his brother’s footsteps. Bo is offended and questions is that what Shawn thinks the Rhinehart case was about? Shawn admits yes and Bo abruptly leaves. Meanwhile downstairs, Roman warns Sandy that five people have been killed and sternly warns her to take are of herself. He is so obviously stressed, and as he walks away, she softly suggests to herself that he take care of himself. Bo approaches Marlena as she stares towards Roman. He asks her what it is like to love someone like that? She shares that when she looks into Roman’s eyes, he is her joy and it is a wonderful feeling. Yes, love sometimes hurts a little bit. She is afraid that someone is after Roman and trying to hurt him. Someone can’t hurt him and not hurt her as well.

Bo is at Shenanigan’s as painters arrive. Bo asks when the place will be open. Chris hopes for a couple of weeks, as Hope walks in but only has eyes for Bo. They smile at each other, gazing into each other’s eyes paying Chris no attention as he suggests painting the walls purple polka dot with absolutely no reaction from either of them. Bo asks if there was a special reason she came by. Hope invites Bo to her 18th birthday party as her date. She tells Bo that when she turns 18 that she receives her inheritance from her mother and she will have her freedom as she will be financially independent. Hope asks when Bo will respond to her invitation. She gets snarky and declares she is just asking him to take her to a party, not for a lifetime commitment and storms out.

Chris smiles that the lady has a temper. Bo asks if he has ever been married. He tells him about dating Kayla and she thought she was ready to get married, but he wasn’t and he didn’t really think she was either so they backed off from each other. Chris suggests that Hope is possibly too young to make that kind of commitment. Bo knows that if he gets involved with Hope that he would get in over his head. He also admits that Doug and Julie hate his guts, that they can’t go anywhere, and he tries to say that he doesn’t want it to go anywhere but says it as a question. Chris suggests he stay away from Hope.

A Roman look alike picks up something from a pawn shop, though he doesn’t speak. Bo arrives at the PD looking for Roman. Abe snaps at him, as the phones are ringing off the hook. They received a message from the killer that something would happen today and Larry wanted to warn the public. Bo questions that decision. Abe says they didn’t have a choice as the last time they received such a message, that Leticia was found dead. Bo wants to help and now he has PI experience while working with Howie. When Roman walks in, he asks how Roman is doing. Roman snaps that he is oh so tired of everyone asking him that question. Bo just turns around and walks out.

Hope, Julie, and Mrs. H are having lunch at the Salem Inn. Hope complains as they don’t have hamburgers there. Julie suggests the Salem Inn as it is the nicest place in town. Hope thinks her friends would be more comfortable at Shenanigan’s. Julie points out it is closed, but Hope says they are working on it now and it will re-open soon. She also shares she has the guest list ready to send out invitations. Julie isn’t happy when Hope tells them that she wants Bo to be her escort. Julie complains that he doesn’t even have his high school diploma. Hope corrects that he did while he was in the Merchant Marines and Alice is thrilled to hear that. Julie and Hope go to Shenanigan’s next.

At the Salem Inn, Hope is on her way out to go to the library. Doug lectures her after the alert about the killer and won’t let her leave. Melissa arrives and Doug lectures her about walking around alone. He tells her that she won’t be going to the library either. Melissa says she has had a creepy feeling like she is being watched. As they walk away, we see Pete Jennings staring into the window, watching her. Later, Melissa says it was probably just her imagination. Pete stops her outside and scares her. He promises her that he isn’t going to hurt her. She is upset and starts crying. He reaches for her, and she screams and he runs off as Roman runs up. She runs inside crying as Doug and Mickey comfort her. She declares that he is the killer! Roman is already after him. Doug calls Abe at the PD and reports the info about Pete.

11/21 - 11/23 Marlena and Sandy return to her place. The Roman look alike bursts out of the closet and murders Sandy’s roommate, Daisy, as a horrified Sandy and Marlena look on. Marlena screams Roman’s name and he rushes past them both. Marlena stands there in shock. A police officer outside recognises Roman and calls him by name.

Later, when Roman walks into his home, Marlena rushes into his arms asking him to explain what happened. Sandy is standing there in shock, afraid for Marlena. Abe and an officer burst in with guns drawn. Roman looks completely baffled and questions what is going on? Abe sternly tells him that he is under arrest for the murder of Daisy Hawkins! Roman looks at him in shock as Marlena cries in horror and disbelief. Abe reads him his rights as Marlena and Sandy look on. Roman goes with Abe, but promises Marlena this will all work out and he will take care of it.

Bo is detained by a police officer at Marlena’s door. She opens and tells Bo to come in. He questions why all the police are here and what is going on? Marlena shakily tells him the police think Roman killed someone. Bo reels at the news. Later, he questions that they actually think they saw Roman stab someone? Sandy says that is what it looks like. Marlena is sure it wasn’t Roman but Sandy reminds her that a cop also recognised Roman. Bo doesn’t believe it and says none of this makes any sense. Don and Maggie arrive. Maggie says that doesn’t make any sense as she say Roman at Doug’s Place. She doesn’t believe he killed someone and then casually went to Doug’s. Bo insists Roman didn’t do it, and Marlena tells Don that he didn’t do it. Marlena insists it was someone who looked like Roman, but it was NOT Roman. Marlena wants to see Roman, so they head to the PD.

Don gets into see Roman as he will be representing him. Marlena and Roman stare at each other briefly across the crowded room, as the door closes in her face. Larry approaches expressing his sympathy that her husband has murdered someone. Bo immediately steps up to defend his brother. Larry continues that his super hero brother has been jerking the whole town around but has been out there murdering people. Bo has to restrain Marlena from attacking Larry. Don and Abe come out at the commotion. Larry insists he wants Roman charged with all the murders. Abe tears him a new one for discussing that publicly. Larry eventually leaves, promising he will see them in court.

Back home, Don is screening press phone calls and then unplugs the phone. They warn her to prepare herself as the press will be after her. They have to stay away from the press as they will want to hang Roman in the press. Don points out they have a very solid case against him with eye witnesses who will testify against him. She yells that Roman didn’t kill anyone. He says a court of law will think he did it and they have to prove that he didn’t. Bo suggests she take some time off and not go to the hospital until this whole mess is cleared up. She has to do whatever is needed to protect Roman and she agrees.

After Don leaves, Bo suggests Marlena get some rest and she heads upstairs. Later in the evening, she comes downstairs to find the scrapbook of clippings and all the citations Roman received for bravery. He questions how anyone could think he was capable of murder. Marlena reminds him it is just a mistake. She observes that Bo loves him a lot. He simply says, “He is my brother”. She stares out the window and notices the police officer is still out there watching the house. Bo tells her that he will call Howie in the morning. He is sure there is something or someone that connects all of these murders. Marlena is sleeping in Carrie’s room as she can’t even enter her own bedroom. Bo is staying the night on the couch. He goes to make her tea and she looks through pics of her and Roman together. She has a flashback to seeing the Roman look alike committing the murder. Roman is in jail soberly staring that the ceiling.

The next morning, Hope and Melissa talk. She tells Hope about seeing Roman when Pete came after her. Roman interrupted and told her to get inside. Hope determines she isn’t going to school today while all of this is happening.

At Marlena’s, Bo is yelling at the press and slams the door. Don suggest he tone it down or Bo will be the subject of a press report. Marlena comes downstairs and demands to know how he is going to plead on Roman’s behalf? She demands that it will be INNOCENT! She questions what else could he possible plead? She guesses that he is considering guilty but under an insanity plea. Marlena declares there isn’t enough evidence and demands to hear him say he will only plead him, NOT GUILTY. She apologizes for losing her temper and says that she didn’t sleep last night. She demands to see Roman. Don informs her that he is only allowed to see her attorney, she doesn’t care what the rules are. He finally agrees as she goes upstairs to change. Bo questions what Roman thinks. Don informs him Roman says he didn’t do it.

Hope shows up and she also refuses to believe Roman is guilty. Hope is just as sure of Roman’s innocence as Marlena and Bo are. Hope offers she will do anything to help her and Roman. Marlena leaves to visit Roman in jail. Hope offers to make Bo breakfast and he tells her to cut out the domestic stuff. She blows up at him and then regrets it as she knows he is upset about his brother. She equates it to a bad dream that you want to wake up from. He admits he is hungry, but then he hesitates. She promises this is a one time thing and she will never make him breakfast again! He softens and agrees and she heads to the kitchen to make him a big breakfast.

Bo yells at Eugene how could he think Roman could have killed her. Eugene warns Bo that Daisy saw Roman following her, and outside of her building and this was only two days before she died. Bo questions if he really thinks Roman could have done this? Eugene says after what Daisy said and the eye witnesses that yes he does. Bo asks him to keep the Daisy information private and he agrees. Hope comes out with a huge platter of food and she invites him to join them for breakfast. Eugene says he heard marriage gossip about them at Rhinehart. Bo clarifies that was just a cover and doesn’t mean anything.

Bo is going to check on his folks and Hope offers to go with him. Before he sees his folks, Bo gives her the "I'm not going to have a lot of time for you as I'm going to be real busy". She is used to it and points out that they don't see each other much, and that he is always on some adventure. She just wants him to be happy. She says today looks pretty grim. She declares that some day this will all be over very soon. He asks what the future will look like then? She assures him that there will be a new adventure then for them together, a beach and a white stallion are in her future fantasy. He asks if he is part of that and she says she will leave that decision up to him.

11/23 - 11/28 Hope complains to Melissa how anyone could possibly think Roman is a killer! Melissa points out there is an eye witnesses. Hope continues to defend Roman and declares plenty of innocent people have been convicted due to wrong eye witnesses.

Bo dreams that he is married to Hope, kissing her in the morning, then he is reminded that he has carpool duty with the children and gets a trapped look on his face and wakes with a start.

Mrs. H shows up with her famous donuts, followed by Shawn to check in on Marlena. Mrs. H points out that a whole flock of little Bradys are going to grow up on Alice’s donuts. Shawn can’t help but think something evil is going on that they don’t understand. Marlena thinks it is just a terrible mistake. Shawn doesn’t think so, he has always trusted in justice but this is different. He can feel that Roman isn’t going to get a fair shake. Alice agrees and declares that it is unthinkable that a man of Roman’s character would be accused of murder. Shawn gives Bo an idea when he declares he is ready to take a couple of his buddies and break his son out of jail!

Hope applies for a waitress job at Shenanigan's. Chris asks if the fact that Bo lives downstairs has anything to do with her applying for a job there. He also points out that she is receiving her inheritance in a couple of weeks.

A heartbroken Marlena and Bo visit Roman in jail. Of course he reassures her that he is innocent. Back home, the phone is ringing off the hook with calls from the media asking for a statement. Bo is screening the phone calls, and Shawn is handling the door. Mrs. H arrives as the media is on her doorstep and hounding them for information. Bo follows up on his idea and takes Mrs. H out for a drink. Chris tries to join them, and Bo turns him away needing to talk to Mrs. H alone. She wants to know what is up? He declares he just wanted to invite the lovely lady for a glass of wine. He asks her about her receipt for her donuts. She accuses him of being up to something. He responds by toasting her donuts.

Hope and Bo run into each other as Hope waits for a meeting with Melissa who never shows. Hope comforts an upset Bo. Its obvious how much he loves and believes in Roman. He says her trying to help him out is getting to be a habit. He hasn't forgotten how she helped him after the Viper attack. She asks why is it so hard for him to admit he needs help.

Abe stops by Roman’s jail cell. He tells him that he has a visitor, and Abe is making an exception but it has to be brief. Bo asks if he can talk to his brother alone? Abe says no. Bo cryptically tells him that Mrs. H is cooking up a batch of his favorite donuts. Bo makes a point of emphasizing how much Roman has always loved the chocolate donuts. Roman says he loves them all. Bo repeats again that Roman especially loved the CHOCOLATE ones. Roman catches the hint and agrees. Abe interrupts and says that times up as Bo shouldn’t even be here anyway.

Hope runs into Julie and Chris. He asks if she ever found Melissa. Hope tells Julie they were meeting up at Shenanigan’s to discuss her birthday party. Julie reminds her that her father still hasn’t agreed to it. Bo and Abe both show up, and Chris and Abe go off to their table. Bo says he is making it his business to talk to Hope. He asks her a big favour and he asks her to give him some space for the next couple of days. He also asks her to cover for him and stall if anyone asks where he is and to play dumb.

11/29 (reduced sound these scenes) Hope is over at Mickey’s, he and Maggie are desperately worried about the missing Melissa (she is with Pete).

11/30 Bo asks Hope to give him some room the next couple of days, not to ask questions, and to cover for him if anyone else starts asking questions about him.

Neil thanks Hope and Bo for helping to get Liz out of Rhinehart. Neil reports the wedding is in two weeks, on December 9th. Hope tells Bo that Melissa has been missing for 24 hours, Hope worries that Pete has kidnapped her. Bo is helping to track her down.

At Doug's Place, Hope apologizes to Julie for worrying her and Doug by staying out all night on previous occasions. Bo receives a call from Alice Horton's mechanic stating that Alice's car is ready. Julie overhears this and is intrigued.

Bo goes over to Mrs. H's, she is in the middle of preparing a batch of donuts. He asks her if she is sure about this. She tells him that if Tom finds out about this that he will be furious with her, that they can both get into some very hot water. Mrs. H says Bo looks worried. Carrie and Anna come into the kitchen. Carrie asks Bo if her father kills people? He tells her that he has never lied to her and he wants her to believe that her papa has never hurt anyone.

After they leave, Bo wants Mrs. H to leave before he drugs the donuts. She refuses and says that Roman has got to be free to help stop the killings. She grabs the drug and puts it in the chocolate frosting for the donuts. Dr. Tom Horton sticks his finger in the icing bowl and but a frantic Alice and Bo catch him before he consumes the icing! She sends him to start getting down the Christmas boxes.

Abe stops by and Bo breaks the news to him that prisoners cannot have any food brought in to them. Bo and Alice have to re-think their plan. Alice has Bo throw away the bowl being used to make the chocolate icing.

12/1 (reduced sound) Sandy finds the hidden stash of donuts and offers one to Tony, who is stopped from taking a bite of it by Alice and Bo.

Due to Roman's life being threatened by the other cops in jail, D.A. Larry Welch recommends that Roman be moved to another jail. Bo is not happy with this, and confronts Abe about it. Abe comes up with a solution, an undercover man posing as Roman is moved to the other jail. Then Salem PD will empty out all of the prisoners out of the jail cells at Salem PD, which will leave Roman in a cell downstairs under 24 hour survelience.

A serious Bo and Alice go over their plan for the last time. A frozen Hope shows up at her grandparents, Bo pours her some hot chocolate and takes her cold hands in his to warm them up. Mrs. H shares how her and Bo spent all afternoon baking. Hope is suspicious about what Bo is up to, not quite buying that he spent the afternoon baking.

Alice is pleading to Captain Donahue to let her bring Roman her homemade donuts. Seeking positive headlines, Larry tells Capt. Donahue he will vouch for Alice and then sets up a press conference as he thinks it would be a great human interest story.

Roman is visited in jail by Abe, Marlena, Larry and Capt. Donahue. Alice distributes the donuts but only Roman gets the one with the chocolate icing. They start to leave. The drug takes effect immediately, and Marlena screams for help as Roman collapses in agony.

12/2 Poor Mrs. H looks on in fear and guilt. Roman appears to be having a heart attack in his jail cell, and Abe calls an ambulance. The EMT's whisk Roman away in the ambulance.

In the ambulance after knocking out the other EMT, Bo takes off Roman's oxygen mask and tries to get him to come to and then tries to get the groggy Roman to sit up. He tells Roman that he was drugged, but that he will be okay. The ambulance then stops due to Alice's Hortons stalled car blocking the road. Two Salem PD officers go to assist her.

Bo then helps Roman out of the ambulance. Cut to Alice in her car saying to herself, "Bo told me that this button releases the fuel line" and the car takes off like a rocket. Bo escapes with Roman.

Later, Bo is plucked from the Park Cafe by a uniformed cop and brought in for questioning. At the PD, Marlena is terrified that Roman is sick and out there all alone. She promises Bo that he didn’t do this. She heard that he told Carrie that Roman is innocent so she knows he believes it too. A protesting Alice Horton is led in by officers, demanding to speak to Captain Donahue. Mickey comes in and asks why Alice is there. She shocks him when she tells him that she may need his legal services as she is going to be questioned.

12/5 (low sound) Hope arrives at the police station and is shocked to see Alice there. Alice is demanding her one phone call and not cooperating with Abe at all. She tells Abe that he has no proof of her doing anything wrong and that Abe cannot arrest her, big mistake. He then arrests her for aiding and abetting Roman's escape.
