Bo & Hope #16 February 25 - May 6, 1986: 8 hour original edit: 8 hour original edit DVD #16A The operative sent to kidnap Britta is killed. In the scuffle, Lars hit his head and needs medical attention. Hope does vodka shots with Vladimir, the man watching her room. Bo learns that Britta, Patch and Lars have left their hotel. Hope manages to escape from where she is being held, but is caught by Ingrid. Bo calls Shane to come to Sweden and help get Hope back. 2/27 Shane & Bo arrange to swap Britta for Hope, Hope is shot by Patch at exchange with KBG. 2/28 Shane calls off the deal when Hope is declared dead by Ingrid. It is revealed that the shooting was staged to throw off the KGB. Britta refuses to go back to America with the others to testify; they forcibly take her. Shane and Patch escape with Britta. 3/4 Hope, Britta, and Patch are back in Salem. When Alice arrives to water the plants at the loft, the three of them believe that she could be an agent spying on them and hide. The noise startles Alice. She leaves and returns with Abe to search the place. When Abe walks out of the room, Hope clues Alice in that they are hiding there. After Abe leaves, Hope and Alice have a discussion and she is introduced to Patch and Britta. 3/5 Hope brings food to her husband, who is hiding out in the tunnels. Shane tells Britta that she has forty-eight hours to give her testimony before Abe starts looking for Bo. Britta wants the ISA to get her brother back in exchange for her help. When the ISA agrees to give her what she wants, Britta agrees to give her testimony and get Bo off the hook. 3/6 Caroline visits Bo and Hope down in the tunnels. She startles the two of them, but they are thrilled to see her. Bo tells his mother that someone is going to testify on his behalf, which will get him off the hook. Caroline sports a guilty face when he says, “If you can’t trust your mother, who can you trust?” In disguise, Bo (along with Hope) visits Kim in the hospital. Unfortunately for them, Abe walks in at the wrong moment. Hope attempts to brush it off, but Abe warns her that this is not a game. 3/7 Bo continues to take chances by leaving the tunnels. Hope waits at the courtroom as her and Shane talk about the plan. Steve arrives and says that the ISA agents that arrived to take Britta to the hearing were actually KGB and they kidnapped Britta. Abe sadly tells Hope that he has no choice but to put out an APB on Bo. Without a witness to testify, the charges against Bo will stand. Shane asks if Hope can get word to Bo to lie low while he sorts this out. 3/10 Bo intends to go on the run. When Hope expresses her intent to come, he flat out rejects the idea because she could be charged as an accomplice. Hope brings Caroline down to the tunnels and has her convince Bo not to leave. Caroline asks for Victor’s help. Victor visits Bo in the tunnels and offers his help, but Bo tells him to leave. 3/12 Abe finds Bo and Hope down in the tunnels and arrests him. When Caroline learns that Bo has been arrested again, she questions Victor, who tells her that her son will be home with her soon. When Hope brings up testifying on Bo’s behalf, Britta tells her that she will only testify once Lars is rescued, which could take weeks. Bo tells Caroline that she should not have gone to Victor for help, but she is not remorseful. 3/14 Patch, Bo and Britta believe that it almost “feels like old times.” Britta and Hope continue to get on each other’s nerves. Hope tells Britta that she will protect Bo and Patch from her clutches and Britta accuses her of wanting them both. 3/17 Marlena continues to have problems with her car and calls Bo for a ride. When Bo goes to pick up Marlena, she questions him about what exactly happened with Roman in Stockholm. 3/18 Bo is convinced that something is going on between Kimberly and Caroline. Meanwhile, Hope asks him if he still has feelings for Britta, who is still staying at their apartment. Bo tells Kimberly that their mother asked Victor to post his bail. Hope shares her thoughts about Britta with Alice, who gives her advice. 3/21 Hope asks Britta whether she would prefer Bo or Patch, which annoys her. Bo asks Shane if there was any news about Lars and Shane reveals that it is not going to be easy. Bo tells Britta that they are going to get Lars and she looks relieved. Bo professes his love to Hope. 3/24 Bo questions Shane about what is wrong when he notices that something is up, but Shane refuses to tell him what is wrong. 3/25 Britta learns that Maggie is going to invite the Russian Ballet Studio to make an appearance in Salem, which will bring Lars to them. Caroline, Shawn and Bo learn that Kimberly is staying with Mrs. Peach at the guesthouse. Shawn defends his youngest son, Bo, against a reporter trying to get a story. This makes Bo’s spirits rise. When he leaves, however, Shawn starts another rant, which Bo overhears. Shawn is still adamant that he will never be Roman. 3/27 Bo and Hope intend to have a nice evening with one another at Blondie’s. While there, Shane calls and says that she needs to speak with him. Shane informs Bo and Hope that the Russian Ballet will be coming in two weeks, which does not give them much prep time, but start planning how to get Lars back from the KGB. 3/28 Bo and Hope realize that Shane and Kimberly have called off their engagement when Bo finds his sister’s engagement ring on the dining table. Bo, Hope, Shane, Britta and Patch get a look at the theatre where the Russian Ballet will be performing. They plan to get Lars away from the Russians via a trap door in the floor. The KGB arrives in Salem. Steve & Britta slip through the trap door and hide underneath the stage. 3/31 Bo and Hope pretend to be a random couple when the KGB agents catch them at the theater. They are caught making out. Abe threatens to arrest them as part of the act, which throws off the agents. Hope has a woeful story of needing some privacy and if they are arrested, her husband will find out! Shane shows up dressed up as an elderly janitor. The gang are able to get out safely and head to the roof for pizza. Patch tries to get Shane to call Kim to join them. Bo tells Patch not to ask Shane any more questions about his sister. 4/2 Hope proposes taking Lars out of the recital through the tunnels underneath the establishment. John arrives at Bo ad Hope’s apartment, where he sees Britta, which prompts him to have flashbacks of her. These flashbacks reveal that a third party was involved in her plot: Victor Kiriakis. Bo tells Hope that he does not have John quite figured out yet. Shane plans to have Lars and Britta become “famous” by talking to reporters about the KGB. Patch is afraid of losing Britta. 4/3 Britta apologizes to Bo for everything that she did to him in the past. Bo brings up Kimberly to Shane and he abruptly leaves. Hope catches Britta looking at a photo. Hope asks who is in the picture. Britta claims it is her brother, though it is a shirtless picture of Patch. Dvd #16B 4/4 Bo begins to have his doubts about how successful getting Lars back will be; the event being televised makes all parties involved suspicious. Shane shows the anonymous letter to Bo and Hope at the loft, and they learn of Victor’s involvement in Stockholm. Hope receives a package that she learns is from her father, Doug Williams. Hope receives a knock on her door, and thinking it is an agent, pulls out her gun; the guest turns out to be Doug. Doug notices two armed KGB agents coming toward Hope’s apartment; he covers for her. Lars appears on-stage as the Russian Ballet begins. Shane attempts to pull the lever, thus releasing the trap door, but Ingrid herself is standing opposite Lars on the stage; other agents are also pointing firearms at him. He makes a special announcement, claiming that Britta is being held hostage in Salem, and needs to return to the Soviet Union with them immediately. Britta releases that she has no choice; they will kill her brother if she doesn’t show. Patch, Shane and Bo are shocked to see Britta get on the stage. 4/7 Britta, who is wearing Kimberly’s jacket, rips the pocket, which contains the letter that Caroline wrote to Victor. When she gets on stage, Britta announces on television that she is returning with her brother to the Soviet Union, claiming that she was forced into the United States against her will. Shane puts phase two of his plan into action and kills the lights, thus allowing Lars and Britta to escape, and have Bo and Hope take their place. Ingrid realizes that she has been tricked and announces on television that their dancer has been kidnapped. At the recital, Abe “books” Bo and Hope. Victor comes across Caroline’s letter to him at the recital. While reading the letter, Victor learns that he and Caroline conceived a child together. Britta reveals to all that Bo Brady was not responsible for the Stockholm scandal. 4/8 Bo, Hope, and Shane celebrate their success. Patch, on the other hand, is not thrilled about Britta being out of their lives and grows angry when Hope notes this. Bo wants Patch to leave the apartment. Caroline follows through with Victor’s wishes and meets him. He demands to know if everything in the letter was true; Caroline reveals to him that Bo is indeed his son. Victor is furious with her and reveals that after loving her for years, he now despises her. Caroline tries to explain her reasoning for keeping Bo’s paternity a secret. Victor vows that the entire Brady family will pay for what Caroline did to him. Bo and Hope make love. Victor holds Charlie and feels robbed of not having that with his own son. Musical montage plays to Britta, Patch, Bo and Hope, Shawn, Shane, Victor and Caroline. 4/10: A betrayed Britta is left alone with Victor, who issues her a warning. Mickey meets with Shane and Bo about Britta’s testimony. 4/11 Britta and Lars are granted political asylum. All of the charges against Bo are being dropped. Even though the charges are dropped, Shane calls Britta back to the stand. He wants to know of Victor’s involvement in the espionage charges. She claims that she has no knowledge of him. Victor stands and claims he is merely there to support the Brady family. John senses that both she and Victor are lying; Patch knows it as well. The Brady’s begin to celebrate Bo’s freedom at The Brady Fish Market when Victor arrives. Bo and Hope share a romantic moment. 4/15 Howie surprises Bo and Hope by saying that he has sold the company and is moving to Florida. Bo and Hope say goodbye to Howie. Bo and Hope notice the new sign on Howie’s office: “Brady and Brady Detective Agency.” Doug and Howie enter and explain everything; Doug has bought the agency as a belated-wedding gift for his daughter and son-in-law. Bo jokes with Hope, saying that he is the “boss.” He says that they already have their first case: Victor Kiriakis. 4/16 Bo tells Hope that they need Britta to go after Victor. Hope asks Patch how he feels about Britta leaving. 4/18 Bo tells Hope and Shane that there are things about Britta that they wouldn’t understand. Britta wants to cash in on Victor’ offer to provide her with protection. 4/23 Bo, Hope and Shane are developing a plan to track Victor, which requires the help of Britta. 4/24 Britta tests her “bug” in to record everything that Victor says. Bo and Hope are concerned about the plan working. Britta moves forward and is caught by Victor when his alert system notifies him that someone is attempting to record their conversation; he has his henchmen frisk her and they discover the bug. Hope tends to Patch, who has been tied up to prevent him from going after Britta; he gives her a hard time. Victor tracks Britta down to the pier, where she tries to find an excuse, claiming that it was merely for the safety of herself. Patch and Bo arrive at the pier. Britta screams, warning them that they have guns, and is shot. Patch breaks down. 4/25 A concerned Lars wants to know if Dr. Curtis is qualified to handle his sister’s situation; Hope informs him that he has experience dealing with these type of situations. Abe asks Bo if he saw who shot Britta. Patch blames Bo for Britta’s shooting, and he denies the allegations. 4/29 Britta’s condition is improving and everyone awaits news from her. Bo vows to bring Victor down. In response, he says, “You really don’t know what you are getting into.” Marlena desperately tries to get in touch with Bo. Luckily, Bo and Hope had just walked through the door and picked up the phone. Marlena shakily tells him that John Black is the pawn and he is really Stefano Dimera. Shane calls Bo who fills him in. They are on their way to help. John overhears the entire phone call and confronts Marlena, he knows she must have seen his tattoo. She pulls a knife on him but he quickly disarms her, and she runs for the door. John and Marlena are in a car accident. 4/30 Bo, Hope and Shane barge into an empty cabin. John and Marlena are both knocked unconscious. The two of them survive and Marlena continues to try and escape. Hope still isn’t clear why Marlena thinks that John is Stefano; she finds it very unbelievable. Marlena tries to tell John that the tattoo doesn’t exactly mean he is Stefano, but he is convinced because of prior knowledge about the farmhouse and her children. Bo, Hope and Shane discover the wrecked car. Hope notices that Marlena dropped an earring and know that Marlena and “Stefano” are not far behind. Bo, Hope and Shane get lost and agree to go back to the cabin to wait for John and Marlena. 5/1 Bo and Shane investigate a noise coming from the cabin. Hope stays behind in the jeep to guard. Shane and Bo discover Ingrid and other KGB agents at the cabin and are curious as to what their involvement in the situation is. Ingrid and the KGB discover Marlena. The local authorities arrest Bo, Hope and Shane. Marlena learns that her life is dependent upon John showing up for the KGB. 5/2 Hope tries seducing the guard to get them out of their cell. Thanks to Hope, the crime-fighting trio escapes their prison cell. Marlena realizes that her time is running out when she notices John, who has forced smoke through the fireplace, allowing her to escape. John and Marlena are on the run from the KGB. John and Marlena go on their famous raft ride down the falls to avoid Bo and Shane. Bo, Shane and Hope take the next raft and go directly after John and Marlena, who flip over at the end of the episode. 5/5 Bo, Hope and Shane get overturned on the raft. The camera flashes to Marlena washed up on the seashore – dead or alive? Bo and Shane land on the shore safely, but Hope is nowhere to be found. They scramble to find her. John finds an unconscious Marlena washed up and performs CPR, thus reviving her. She has a sprained leg and John must carry her. 5/6 Bo and Shane still cannot locate Hope after they tipped on the raft. The camera flashes to Hope still traveling down the river. Shane and Bo manage to rescue Hope. **The End** |
