Bo & Hope #41 September 30 - November 11, 1999: 8 hour original edit

DVD #41A 9/30 Princess Gina tells Kurt everything that she's learned, that Hope was given her thought, memories and feelings during a transformation at Maison Blanche. It sinks in that Hope was living Gina's life as she was held prisoner in the castle.

Gina starts crying and goes back inside to the party. Kurt wants to know what she is going to do? She declares is that she will make Stefano pay for what he's done to her; he will feel the pain that she has suffered all these years.

Out on the dance floor, Hope is dancing with Bo, when she spots Bart in his waiter disguise. Realizing that their plan is going to go into action, she freezes, and Bo is concerned. Nathan comes in wondering where Greta is? They tell him that they do not know, and Hope says the boy is in the throws of first love. Bo says he is too, and gives Hope a passionate kiss.

Doug and Julie, along with everyone else, has witnessed this. Doug wants to dance with his daughter, so Bo and Julie hook up. Bo says that he was kissing Hope just then, and that he'll protect her from DiMera because she is going to defy him. Doug tells Hope that he is so proud of her and that he loves her. The foursome get together and start their plan.

Bo goes to talk to the Duke, and Hope, seeing Stefano give her the "get a move on it" nod, excuses herself. The Duke likes Bo's plan for a toast, and suggests that he give it. Bo is shocked and looks around for Hope. The Duke presses for an answer, and Bo says he'd love to, but the guest of honor should be in attendance. Bo learns from Doug and Julie that Hope went for some fresh air, and he's upset that she left.

Hope/Gina, in her Gina mode meets Stefano and Bart in the gallery. She assures Stefano that all will go well tonight, that she has everything planned, including how to take care of Bo. She saunters off, and Stefano confides in Bart his fear that Bo will have to be neutralized as he can’t take a chance that Bo will mind his own business that night.

In the hallway, Hope is checking her makeup, when the original Gina takes her by the arm and tells her that if she values her life, she will listen to her.

10/1 The real Gina drags Hope into the foyer and warns her that Stefano will destroy her and asks her to meet her after the party. Before Hope can respond, Stefano arrives. In an awkward moment, both Gina and Hope call out to Stefano when he addresses Princess Gina. Startled, Hope looks at the woman, who takes her leave. Stefano comments that the woman is strange. He then turns his attention to Hope and the plans for tonight. She assures him that all is taken care of and goes back to the party.

Bo is looking for Hope, but is sidetracked by the Duke, who he has promised to regale with stories of his days as a merchant marine. When Hope enters, he gives his toast. Everyone is in attendance to hear the toast...Doug, Julie, Greta, Eric, the real Gina, Kurt, Stefano and Bart.

Bo's toast sounds like it would apply to Princess Gina, but he is really saying it to Hope. He raves that this beautiful, regal woman is a loving, generous, caring person whom he loves with all his heart, and will for the rest of his life. Everyone applauds, except for the real Gina, who is upset. She laments that the toast should have been for her but she will get her revenge on both Stefano and Hope.

Bo and Hope agree that now is the time to put their plan into action. Hope begins dancing the last dance with the men at the party. Bo tells Doug, Julie, Eric and Greta to start leaving. Greta wants to go back to the castle, and they say goodbye to Doug and Julie.

Bo finally gets his turn to dance with the Princess, and tells Hope that he will be there to protect her and this should she fall, he will catch her. He tells her that he loves her, and in an overwhelming moment, Hope kisses him. Another man wants to cut in, and this gives Bart his chance.

In a French accent, he tells Bo that he has a phone call from the U.S. Bo thinks it is John and Bart leads him to an unused room. He's carrying a remote control device and presses the button as Bo picks up the portable phone. The phone emits some knock-out gas and Bart drags an unconscious Bo away.

Stefano signals Hope it's time to act. Hope feigns a fainting spell and is escorted out by the Duke. They are both unaware that Princess Gina is watching, and she tells Kurt that she knows exactly what is going on. This was the same script she was to use when she was to steal the Renet, so she knows exactly what will happen next. But, she wants her revenge on Stefano, so she is going to rewrite history and Stefano and Hope won't know what hit them!

10/4 Bart drags an unconscious Bo to a warehouse. Stefano calls Bart, who says Bo will no longer cause any more problems for him. Bart asks when the robbery will go down? Stefano says it will happen soon, there are still some people hanging around like Kurt and his mother. Stefano tells Bart that he plans to have a chat with Kurt's mother.

Bo eventually comes to and finds Bart shining a flashlight in his face. Bart orders Bo and gunpoint to empty his pockets and take his jacket off. Bo does as he's told, but then attacks Bart. The two struggle over the gun. Bo's phone begins to ring as he and Bart fight, and it is thrown across the room.

When Bo gets to it, Bart knocks him out cold. When Bo wakes up he finds himself hanging upside down from the rafters. Bo tries to get Bart to say his boss is Stefano, but Bart claims he doesn't know who he is speaking of, he has enemies all over Europe. Bo says he also has a lot of friends, who will be showing up shortly.

Bart calls Stefano and tells him everything is going as planned, but wonders if Bo has talked with Interpol? Stefano says he doesn't think so. After the call, Bart hears sirens, and Bo laughs at him. Unfortunately the sirens come and go. Bart begins pouring gasoline on the floor around Bo.

Princess Gina tells Kurt that this is the exact same plan she was supposed to follow years ago to steal this last Rennet. Gina tells him little does Hope know, she has a plan of her own! Kurt suggests they go back to the castle, but Gina refuses. Kurt fears Stefano finding them out, but Gina is positive Stefano has left because it is part of his plan, he is waiting for Hope at the airport. Kurt asks her what her plan is? Gina simply tells him to bring her another glass of champagne, then they can leave.

Kurt leaves to get the champagne and is confronted by Stefano. Stefano accuses Kurt of betraying him. Kurt says he has followed all his mothers orders, Gina is safe in the castle. Stefano tells him to stop lying, he has watched his mother all night and knows that . . . . Suddenly Gina asks Kurt what is taking so long, where is her champagne? Stefano turns around and comes face to veil with Gina.

Gina bluffs Stefano by saying her son is such a good man and has taken care of Gina's castle for many years, but she has never once visited. She claims that she thought Gina was dead because nobody has seen her in years. Stefano says that Gina often vanishes from time to time, and he thinks she will vanish again soon.

Gina leaves to get her champagne, and Kurt tells Stefano that his mother isn't in her right mind. Stefano buys the lies and asks how Gina is? Kurt says she is in her own little world, she doesn't do much other than paint. Stefano is glad to hear it and tells him to keep it that way. After Stefano leaves, Gina returns, Kurt was afraid she would give herself away. Gina tells him not yet, first she has to deal with Hope, then she will deal with Stefano.

Hope/Gina is in a guest room and lights up a cigarette. She remembers "Kurt's mother" warning her that her life depended on them speaking later. Hope/Gina says that woman does not know what she is talking about, her life depends on stealing Spring Morning and that is it! Hope/Gina paces around the room, and eventually begins looking at the gallery floor plans.

She remembers Bart instructing her where the security panel is and which wires to cut to disarm it. Gina/Hope lights up another cigarette and tells herself that she can do this. When there is a knock at her door, Gina quickly straightens up her room and jumps in bed. She says they may come in. The Duchess enters with her personal physician to check Gina out.

Gina thinks she is just over exhausted, she has had trouble sleeping lately. The doctor checks her out and tells her first she should give up smoking, and then decides to leave some sleeping capsules for her. She warns her only to take one a night. Gina asks the Duchess if she may rest for a bit, but the Duchess insists she stay the whole night.

After they leave, Gina pulls out a black bag from the closet and then remember Bo telling her to tell him when she has stolen the Rennet. Gina wonders who she should betray, Stefano or Bo? She calls Bo, but he does not answer his phone because he's filing with Bart. Gina puts on her black cat suit, makes it look like she is sleeping in her bed, and then climbs up through an air shaft in the ceiling. Gina crawls through the air shaft and makes her way to the gallery.

Kurt and Gina, minus her veil, arrive at the Paris house. Gina looks around at her things and says at least she can take solace knowing John is in a better place. Kurt thinks they should call the authorities and let them deal with Stefano and Hope, but Gina wants her revenge for the crimes committed against her! Gina says she has much bigger plans for Stefano and Hope, she will make sure Stefano never gets his hands on the last Rennet.

10/5 In Paris, at the warehouse, Bo tells Bart that he's not going to get away with this, and he will hunt down Stefano. Bart lights a match and sets the gasoline ablaze. Bart tells Bo bye as Bo struggles to get free. Bo begins swinging and manages to catch his hands on a metal spike in one of the various crates stacked around him. He uses the metal spike to cut through the rope tying his hands together.

Bo continues to swing to try to free his legs, but the rope holding him above the flames begins to burn and is about to break. Luckily, Bo manages to free his legs and swing out of harms way just in the nick of time. Unfortunately, he soon finds out that he's locked in. The flames become more intense, and then the roof crashes down upon him!

Stefano returns to the lab singing "bum bum bum, ba ba bum." Rolf comments someone is a good mood, and Stefano answers "Oui Oui!" Stefano tells Rolf that at this very minute Gina/Hope is taking the Rennet and Bo is no longer going to be a problem. Stefano then informs Rolf that he is not going to give Gina/Hope her freedom, she knows too much.

Rolf says she's always known his secrets and kept her mouth shut, but Stefano says things, goals, ambitions change. He feels Gina would betray him if it suited her needs. Stefano says he has a fool proof way to insure Gina is not a problem. Stefano then receives a call from Bart. Bart tells Stefano that Brady has been neutralized, and he's pretty burned up about it. Stefano laughs and says "Excellent!"

Gina packs and tells Kurt that she is positive that Hope woman will come back here if she steals the Rennet. Kurt asks her if she think Hope won't do it? Gina says that she can't help but wonder if the same thing that happened to her years ago will happen to her arrogant imposter. She then damns Stefano to condemning her to this life. Gina tells Kurt that when she finally saw Greta, reality came crashing down.

Kurt still thinks Hope is nothing but a pawn, but Gina doesn't believe it because she saw how much Hope was enjoying being her. Gina plans to make that life come to a crashing halt, unless Stefano beats her to it. Kurt asks her what she is going to do? Gina tells him that it is better he not know. Kurt says he is worried about her, but Gina tells him that neither Stefano nor Hope know she is onto them. Still, Kurt wishes she would return to the castle with him because she is not thinking clearly.

Gina tells him that he is wrong, she is thinking more clearly than she has in years, and tonight she will get her sweet revenge! They hear a noise, and Gina thinks it is Hope. She tells Kurt to go downstairs and check on Hope, then come back up to her.

Kurt returns to tell Gina that Stefano has arrived. Gina doesn't understand why he is here, he is supposed to be waiting at the plane. Gina tells Kurt to return downstairs and continue watching Stefano. Gina remembers when she fell into her depression and Stefano told her that Dr. Rolf would perform a procedure on her to remove her mood swings. She then remembers crying over John's letter years later. Gina tells herself that no one, not even Steffie, does those horrible things to her and gets away with it!

Downstairs, Kurt overhears Stefano talking to himself about both Gina's agendas. Stefano says he will not allow this to happen, he dealt with the first Gina, and will deal with the new once once the Rennet is taken. He then toasts to her highness Princess Gina and says, "May she rest in peace!”

Back upstairs, Gina continues to pack her belongings when she comes across some pearls Stefano gave her. She wonders if she should go downstairs and return them. She then has a fantasy of confronting Stefano in her Isla disguise, but soon reveals her identity to him. Stefano is shocked as hell and drops his wine glass. He can't believe how she looks, but she assures him it is her. She tells him that she has dreamed about this moment for a long time, picking up right where they left off. In her imagination, Gina walks behind Stefano, and then stabs him in the back with a dagger!

Back in reality, Gina convinces herself that her revenge will be much sweeter if she waits to take care of Hope and Stefano together. Gina dresses up in a slick black catsuit similar to the one Hope/Gina is wearing. She says if Hope/Gina does show up here to meet Stefano, she will have to make her little fantasy come true. As she looks in the mirror and puts on some lipstick, Gina says she will make sure she is the one and only Princess Gina before this night ends! Back downstairs, Stefano leaves, or so Kurt thinks.

At the Harriman's place, Gina/Hope is in the air ducts above the gallery and wondering who to trust and who to betray. She decides to focus on the job, and lowers herself down through the ventilation shaft with a rope. Down in the gallery, red laser lights are flashing all over the place.

Suddenly, one of the pulleys slips out of place, Gina drops a few feet. She stabilizes herself and then finds the alarm control box and goes to work disabling the system. Unfortunately she fumbles again and almost drops a bolt. She once again hears both Bo and Stefano telling her that she has to do this, but for different reasons.

When she opens the security panel she finds something unexpected, all the wires are black! Bart had told her she needed to cut the green and white wires in order to disarm the system. Gina has no idea which two wires to disconnect! Gina makes a guess and disconnects one wire, and the alarm is not triggered. She only has one more wire to disconnect, and she picks the right one.

The security system turns off and has 10 minutes to reconnect the wire before the alarm reactivates itself. Gina/Hope is haunted by Bo and Stefano's voices telling her that she will be free if she does this. She manages to gather her thoughts and replaces Spring Morning with the forgery just in the nick of time.

The alarm system turns back on as Gina/Hope is about to leave, she runs right into Bo! Bo thinks she is all set to steal the Rennet. He says once she does and delivers it to DiMera, he'll arrest him and it will all be over for good. Hope/Gina tells him that she just can't do it!

10/6 Stefano wants to know what Kurt is doing there? Kurt says he came to get some things for Princess Gina, but Stefano says she doesn't need anything. Kurt says that Gina has become withdrawn over the years and he is very concerned about her. Stefano had hoped that time would have healed Gina's wounds over the years.

Gina, who now has her hair tied back and is wearing a black hat with a mini veil which very funeral like, is spying on Kurt and Stefano and vows to make Stefano pay for what he has done to her. Then, only then will she be able to heal. Kurt asks him why he never came to visit Gina? Stefano says he wanted to remember her the way she was. Gina says "the way Hope was this evening, that party should have been mine, those were my friends!"

Stefano asks Kurt if she has gotten over John yet? Kurt says no, and then asks who the woman at the party pretending to be the Princess? Stefano says it is just some American girl with amnesia or schizophrenia who thinks she is Gina. Gina is furious with Stefano and promises to rob Stefano of his future and make Hope sorry that she ever trusted Stefano. Stefano tells Kurt he can continue with his packing.

Kurt asks Stefano why he is here? Stefano says he wanted to offer Eric and Greta a ride back to Salem on his jet. Gina knows he is lying because Greta would never have anything to do with him. She then wonders if Greta is involved with Stefano as well, she was going along with that Hope woman. She doesn't know what is going on, but says she will have all the answers by the time this evening is over. The phone rings and Stefano answers it because he says he's been waiting for a call.

Gina thinks it is Hope, so she tries to listen carefully. It is Rolf calling from the plane, he tells Stefano that Gina/Hope is not here yet. Rolf asks how he will break the news to Gina/Hope about Bo? Stefano tells him that she does not need to know. Gina ends up knocking something over, which Stefano hears. Stefano hangs up on Rolf and thinks Kurt is listening in on his conversation.

Stefano finds Kurt carrying some clothes and he asks Kurt if he was knocked the cup off the table? Kurt says it must have been the dress that snagged it. Stefano says he is leaving and doesn't know when he will be back, so he is to keep watching Princess Gina. Kurt walks Stefano out and Gina wonders where Hope is.

Kurt returns to Gina, who fears Hope has left for the airport already. She tells Kurt that they must go to the airport, she has to see this Hope woman. Kurt asks why? Gina says she has two reasons, the first is that she wants to see what it would have been like if she had stolen the Rennet. Kurt asks what her second reason is?

Gina/Hope tells Bo that she can't steal the painting. She asks Bo what he's even doing here, this isn't part of the plan. Bo says the plan has been changed, someone has spent the past few hours trying to kill him. Gina/Hope asks who? Bo says Stefano of course. Gina/Hope says this is too dangerous, but Bo tells her that they can't back down now. Bo tells her that they can't change the past, but they can change the future. He tells her that she has a choice to make, trust DiMera or trust him.

Gina/Hope still refuses to steal the painting. Bo tells her that both of their lives depend on her stealing that painting, Stefano will not let her live if she fails. Gina/Hope remembers Stefano warning to end her life if she ever betrayed him. Bo asks her to trust him, don't make the same mistake the real Gina did. Gina/Hope says that won't happen, but Bo fears it will. He tells her that he can't lose her again.

Bo tells Hope/Gina that Stefano can't destroy their love, and it is their love which will set her free. He becomes upset and says he doesn't know what Stefano promised her, but Stefano will get rid of her because she has used up her usefulness. Hope/Gina says they should go, but Bo refuses to leave until she steals the paintings. He tells his Fancy Face that there is nothing here they can't overcome if she does as he asks. If she does, Bo says they can go back to Salem and live the lives they want to live together.

Bo knows she still loves him, even if she won't admit it. He says he can't believe she is giving up on him, but Gina/Hope tells him that he has no idea what she is going through right now. Suddenly, Gina/Hope and Bo hear footsteps coming down the hall towards them. Gina/Hope tells Bo to get out of here, but Bo tells her to leave, he will cover. A voice suddenly shouts, "Stop! What are you doing here!" The voice is the Duke, who wants to know what Bo is doing here?

Bo says he came to check on Princess Gina, but the Duke asks why he is outside the gallery and shouting? Bo says he was shouting for help, but the Duke doesn't believe him and says he is calling the police. Gina/Hope is in the air ducts and is watching everything as it happens. She looks at the painting and says Stefano will get what he wants, and she will have what she wants. However, she wishes it was not at Bo's expense. She tells herself that she has to do this or Stefano will kill them both. She says she did it for "us" and hopes Bo will forgive her.

At the airport, Rolf and Stefano are aboard Stefano's jet waiting for Hope/Gina to show up with the Rennet. Stefano asks Rolf how the satellite is coming? Rolf says he is almost finished aligning the coordinates, then they can eliminate Gina for good as a hidden Hope/Gina listens in.

10/7 Kurt is driving Princess Gina to the airport. Kurt is not sure they should be doing this, but Gina silences him. They are not going to do anything dangerous, this is just a fact-finding mission. They arrive at the airport and sneak on Stefano's jet.

Hope eavesdrops on Stefano and Rolf's conversation as the continue talking. Rolf again worries about Gina's loyalty, but Stefano blows him off. Hope enters, and says that Stefano is right and she has finished the job, but wants to talk to Stefano alone. Real Gina and Kurt have arrived and listen in to the conversation.

Hope declares that the painting is safe, but that Stefano must bargain for it. She continues, saying that Stefano will get the final painting once Bo is safe and on his way home, and guarantee that she will be able to live her life. Stefano says that from this moment on, Bo will be safe and that he has always promised that Gina would be free after this.

Pleased, Hope says that she will get the painting for him, once she has proof that Bo is okay. After she leaves, Stefano is furious that his "Gina" would do this to him. The Real Gina and Kurt leave the plane and decide to follow Hope. Stefano asks Rolf if the satellite is in position? When Rolf tells him that it almost is, Stefano says that he will take care of Gina once and for all.

Hope is walking down a dark alley, when a black-gloved hand reaches out and renders her unconscious. Kurt is surprised at Princess Gina, saying he's never seen her like this. Gina says that this is just the beginning.

10/8 In Paris at the Chateau, Eric receives a call from Bo. Eric asks Bo if it is over, is Stefano in jail? Bo tells him to slow down, and he explains that nothing went the way it was supposed to. Bo tells Eric that he is in jail, and he has no idea where Gina is, Hope hasn't broken through DiMera's hold.

Bo vows to get Hope back and tells Eric that the police can't hold him too much longer. Bo tells Eric to get himself and Greta back to Salem ASAP. Eric says they are on their way out, Greta is just finishing up with the real estate lady. Bo says he has to leave, and tells Eric goodbye.

At the station, the police tell Bo that he still can't leave until he is seen by a judge. The inspector tells Bo that he is guilty of trespassing, which is a very serious charge. Bo asks him to call the ISA and speak with Shane Donovan, he will vouch for him. Bo tells him if he lets him out they can bring down a major criminal and he can save the woman he loves.

The inspector tells Bo that he will see what he can do. Bo yells until the inspector comes, and Bo asks him if he made the calls? Can he get him out of here? The inspector made the calls, but he can't be released until the paperwork is taken care of.

On the plane, Stefano says he'll try to find away to convince Gina that Bo is alive, and he wants Rolf to work on the satellite. Stefano tells Rolf that he no longer wants to turn Gina back into Hope, he wants to wipe out Hope and Gina. Rolf says but that will . . . . Stefano says he knows what her fate will be, she deserves it for what she has done to him!

Bart shows up and is looking very nervous. Stefano tells him that he better have good news for him. Bart says the news is bad, real bad. Bart tells him that Bo Brady isn't dead. A look of relief comes over Stefano's face. He hugs Bart, thanks him, and gives him a big kiss! Stefano tells Bart that they have to find him right away, this is the best mistake he's ever made! Stefano tells Bart that he's going to give him a raise. A confused Bart thanks Stefano.

At the Paris house, Gina/Hope dreams about Bo offering to save Hope. Stefano shows up and tells her that she is Princess Gina. They both offer their hands to her, and she doesn't know who to chose. Hope/Gina eventually wakes up and finds the Countess Isla by her bedside. Gina/Hope quickly sits up and says she has to get out of here.

Ilsa, a.k.a Gina in disguise, grabs Hope/Gina's shoulder and tells her that she is not going anywhere! She tells Hope/Gina that she is still too weak to go anywhere. Hope/Gina lays back down and remembers being grabbed from behind on the street. Princess Gina says she is lucky she came along when she did, her attacker fled. Gina/Hope asks her if she called the police?

Princess Gina says no because she is smart enough not to contact the police when Stefano DiMera is involved. Gina/Hope asks Princess Gina how she knows about him? Princess Gina tells Hope/Gina that she knows what Stefano has planned for her, and she wants to help her. Gina/Hope asks how she knows Stefano? Princess Gina tells her all in good time, first she must rest. She then excuses herself to get something for her pain.

Princess Gina leaves and runs into Kurt, who wants to know what she is going to do? Gina says she has to get Hope to trust her somehow. Kurt still doesn't like betraying Stefano, and Gina orders him to return to the chateau because she can't stand his nagging. Kurt leaves and Gina goes back in to see Hope/Gina. She brings her a warm towel and tells Hope/Gina that she will answer all her questions. Hope/Gina asks her why she was warning her about Stefano? Gina tells her that she will tell her everything, and she will see that she's on her side.

Gina tells Hope/Gina that she heard Stefano talking to his henchman about what he was going to do to her. Hope/Gina asks if it was the same man who knocked her out in the street? Gina says yes, and Hope/Gina asks her what Stefano said? First, Gina tells her that she is well aware that Stefano forced her to steal the last Renet. Gina knows Stefano promised her her freedom, but he will do away with her once she gives him the painting because he'll have no use for her. Gina warns her not to give him that painting under any circumstances.

Gina/Hope thinks Stefano has sent her here, but Gina says if she worked for Stefano she would not be advising her to double cross him. Gina/Hope lights up a cigarette and asks "Isla" how she knows so much about Stefano? Gina says that is not important, what is important is what will happen next. Gina tells her that if she bargains with Stefano and do as he says, she will be signing her death warrant. Gina/Hope doesn't think Stefano will kill her, and she asks "Ilsa" why she should trust her? Hope/Gina says it doesn't matter because she has not given Stefano the painting yet, and will not.

Hope/Gina tells "Ilsa" that she doesn't know if she can trust her because she can't look in her eyes. Gina says she knows her very well, she knows she made Stefano promise to give her her freedom for the painting. Gina/Hope says she also made him promise not to harm someone she cares about. Gina says, "Ah yes, Bo Brady. I sense that he would do anything to protect you." Gina says she knows what it is to truly love, and that is the kind of love this man feels for her. She asks Hope/Gina if she returns this man's feelings? He may be her last chance to truly love somebody.

Hope/Gina says it is too late, she does not think that Bo will forgive her for what she has done. "Ilsa" says she does not believe that and she should never underestimate the power of true love. Isla also tells Gina/Hope that she know she fears that Bo was her only chance of escaping Stefano, but what she should truly fear is what Stefano will do to her if she gives him the painting. Gina/Hope tells her that she knows more than one could learn from eavesdropping. "Ilsa" says she was a very good friend of Gina's and knows what Stefano did to her.

Hope/Gina says "Her? You mean ME!" "Ilsa" tells Gina/Hope that she is an imposter, the real Gina died years ago of a broken heart. She tells Hope/Gina that she doesn't want to see her make the same mistake. "Isla" says she is a lot like the real Gina, she was willing to risk the wrath of Stefano for the man she loved. Gina/Hope says the same thing happened to her with John Black.

Gina says John is the man the real Gina was in love with years ago. Hope/Gina says she knows, and then tells Isla that her name is really Hope Williams. She says Stefano did this to her, he gave her all of Gina's thoughts and she risked everything for John, she even double crossed Stefano. Gina says she is talking nonsense, John is dead! Hope tells her that is not true, John is alive. Gina begins to weep uncontrollably.

10/11 Later, Bart returns and tells Stefano that he can't find Bo. Stefano knows exactly where he is, he is in jail for breaking into the Harriman estate. Bart tells him that he can tell Gina/Hope where he is, then she will give him the painting. Stefano says he can't do that because she will feel sorry for him, and Bo will give her more reasons to betray him and not give him the painting. Stefano says it is best he leave Bo in jail for now.

At the Paris house, Gina/Ilsa tells Hope/Gina that John can't be alive. Hope/Gina tells her that John is very much alive, living in Salem, and is happily married. Gina can't believe what she is hearing, but Gina/Hope assures her that it is true. Hope/Gina tells her that John is committed to his wife Marlena and their three children. She tells Gina that John has no memory of who he was, Stefano erased John's memory to send him to Salem as Roman Brady.

Gina/Hope explains that when she first became Gina, she thought he was dead too, but when Stefano transformed her again she saw John in Salem and remembered all her feelings for him. Hope/Gina says she tried to make John remember, but he didn't want to remember. However, Hope/Gina says she did manage to get John back for one night of love making.

To herself, Gina is angry with Stefano for making Hope believe she was her, and Hope for making love to her beloved John. Gina asks what happened after her night with John? Hope/Gina says Stefano transformed him back. Hope/Gina produces John's wedding ring and says it will be a reminder of how Stefano interfered in their lives. Gina tells herself that Hope interfered too, it is as much her fault as it is Stefano's.

Gina tells Hope/Gina that she must be devastated, she must want her revenge. Hope/Gina says of course she wants her revenge. Gina tells her to take it, destroy Stefano! Gina/Hope says she can't risk it, but Gina tells her that she must. She tells Hope/Gina not to give the last Rennet to Stefano. Gina/Hope says she can't do that, right now she is confused. She says she is hearing voices asking her to choose between Gina and Hope, she does not know what to do.

Gina tells her that she has only one choice. Gina asks Hope/Gina to join forces with her to defeat Stefano! Hope/Gina says it is not possible, Stefano always wins. Gina says this time it shall be different because they have the advantage. Gina says Stefano does not know she is onto him, and he does not know she (Hope/Gina) is not following his orders.

She tells Hope/Gina that she may not be able to get back her stolen years, but if they join forces she can get back her future. Suddenly, someone rings the doorbell and knocks on the door. Hope/Gina leaves to answer it, and when she is gone, Gina removes her veil. Hope/Gina answers the door thinking it is Bo, only to find Stefano. Stefano grabs Hope/Gina, shakes her, and tells her that he wants the Rennet now!

10/12 Belle answers the phone, and Princess Gina asks to speak to John Black because her call is very urgent. Belle tells her that he can't come to the phone right now, but Gina insists she must talk to John. Belle asks her if she is a telemarketer? Gina says no, this call is personal. Belle tells her unless it is important he can't be disturbed. Belle eventually hangs up on Gina.

Gina calls once again and begs Belle not to hang up on her. She asks Belle if John is there? Belle says he is. Gina asks what he is doing that is so important? Belle tells her that he and his wife are celebrating his wife's birthday in their bedroom, so she should call at another time.

After the phone rings a second time, John goes downstairs and talks to Belle about this mysterious caller. The phone rings once again, and John decides to talk to this person. John answers, and Gina is speechless as she realizes her great love is indeed alive. John asks whoever it is to talk to him, but all Gina can do is cry.

At the Paris house, the real Gina watches as Stefano shakes Hope/Gina and demand she give him the Rennet. Hope/Gina tells him that if he kills her, he will never see the Rennet again! Stefano lets her go, and she lights up a cigarette. Stefano asks her what she wants? Hope/Gina says she wants her freedom and Bo's safety.

Stefano doesn't like what he is hearing, suddenly Bo's safety has become her number one priority. Stefano asks her if she wants to live her life as GIna, or return to Salem with Bo? Hope/Gina realizes she has to make Stefano think she does not care about Bo, so she tells him that she wants to live her life as Gina of course. Stefano asks her why she cares for Bo then?

Hope/Gina says she and Bo share a son, and she wants Bo around to raise Shawn D since she won't be there for him. Stefano tells her that he does not know where Bo is, it may take time to track him down. Hope/Gina tells him to stop wasting time and find him! She tells him when he brings Bo to her, they will discuss the painting.

Stefano asks her why she doesn't want to take up a life with Bo, is she fantasizing about getting John back? The real Gina tells herself "Over my dead body!" Hope/Gina tells Stefano that what she does with her life is none of his business! She tells him once he has the Rennet, their relationship will be over! Stefano tells Hope/Gina to be careful what she wishes for. Stefano says they will talk soon, and then he leaves.

Once he is gone the real Gina thanks Hope/Gina for not giving her away. Hope/Gina says the thought did cross her mind. Gina asks Hope/Gina to promise her to keep her presence a secret. Hope/Gina says she has her word. Gina wants them to work on planning their revenge.

Kurt shows up and Gina tells him that she told him not to come back! Hope/Gina says she has to be going, but Kurt stops Gina from following her. Gina slips out of Kurt’s hold and runs after Hope/Gina, and she leaves her veil behind! Gina returns after failing to find Hope/Gina and tells Kurt that he has ruined everything! She orders him to get out of her sight so she can think. Kurt want to help, but she says he has helped her enough this evening.

Kurt leaves, and Gina thinks about what Hope told her about John. Gina decides to call John, but Belle answers. She tells Belle that she must speak to John. Belle tells her that he can't come to the phone right now, but Gina insists she must talk to Belle. Belle asks her if she is a telemarketer? Gina says no, this call is personal. Belle tells her unless it is important he can't be disturbed.

Gina asks what he is doing that is so important? Belle tells her that he and his wife are celebrating his wife's birthday in their bedroom, so she should call at another time. Gina refuses to believe John could be in love with another woman. She pours herself a drink and calls John once more. John answers, and Gina is speechless. John asks the caller to talk to him, but all Gina can do is cry as she hears his voice.

Hope/Gina takes a walk to the pier and is confused, she does not know what she wants. She tells herself that she has to make her choice. She says Bo is a wonderful man and he does love her, maybe she should give up this nightmare she is living and become Hope again. Suddenly, Hope/Gina sees an image of herself as Gina in a ball gown and tiara. Gina tells her that she will never let her go! Hope/Gina tells her to go away, but Gina says she will have to kill her.

10/13 Stefano and Rolf are working on the satellite. Rolf tells him that if they miss the upcoming opportunity, they will not be able to turn Gina/Hope back into Hope for two or three months. Stefano tells Rolf that there will be no waiting, this transformation will take place as he has ordered!

Rolf reminds Stefano that he doesn't have the Rennet yet. Stefano tells him that is why he must delay the satellite's trajectory until she hands the Rennet over to him. Rolf says he's not all powerful, but Stefano slams his hand down on the desk and orders Rolf to do as he commands.

The real Gina, who is on the phone with John, is speechless. John asks who this is, but she says nothing. John says this is annoying and he wants them to stop calling his house and harassing his family. Marlena tells John to just hang up. John takes the phone away from his ear and does not hear Gina finally calling to him. John hangs up on her, leaving Gina devastated.

Kurt shows up and asks Gina what is wrong, she looks like she's seen a ghost? Kurt asks her if she called someone? Gina says no, she knows no one and no one knows her. Kurt decides to make her some chamomile tea to soothe her nerves. Gina looks at herself in a mirror and tells herself that John can't see her like this, time has not been kind to her.

She says she would do anything to see her John again, but not like this. She looks at an older picture of herself, the way she looked last time John saw her. She wishes she could turn back the years, and then thinks it is possible and she knows exactly how she can do it.

Gina opens a secret panel and looks into the lab where Stefano and Rolf are working. Gina sees Stefano leave to take a call from Marlena, so she goes into the lab, but sees Rolf is still working. She turns the heat up in order to get Rolf out of the lab, and once he's gone she enters. She searches the place and comes across a file which she reads. She also finds the CD-ROM with Hope's memories. She pops it into the computer, and up comes a picture of Hope. She removes the CD, and then she steals it!

Bo is still sitting in jail waiting to be released. He ends up grabbing a guard through the bars and demands to be let out so he can get to Hope. Bo is released from his cell and signs the release papers. He gets his cell phone and calls the townhouse hoping that Gina/Hope is there, but there is no answer. He calls the airport and learns Stefano has not left Paris, which means Hope must still be here.

Back in Salem, John calls Bo and learns he has lost Hope. John thinks he may have a way to help Bo, so he leaves.

Belle says they should dial *69 and have it automatically dial the number of the last person who called. Marlena dials *69 and gets the number of who called them. Belle looks it up and learns whoever called was in Paris, France. Marlena realizes that Stefano is in Paris.

In Paris, Rolf's phone rings, and he hands to Stefano. Stefano asks who is calling? Marlena tells Stefano to stop making harassing phone calls to her. Stefano has no idea what she is talking about, and excuses himself to go to the study. Marlena tells Stefano that she wants this harassing phone calls to stop, but Stefano says he did not order any phone-calls to her home.

He wished her and John all the best and meant it, he also assumes John gave her a wonderful birthday party today. Marlena asks how he knew it was her birthday? Stefano says "You can't think I'd forget your birthday?" Marlena tells him to leave them alone, and she hangs up. John returns, and Marlena tells John that Stefano's number was where the calls where made from, but she believes he didn't call them.

On a pier in France, Gina/Hope sees an apparition of Gina standing next to her. Gina tells Hope/Gina that she wants some insurance that she will continue to exist. Hope/Gina asks what she meant when she said she'd have to kill her to make her go away. Gina tells Hope/Gina that she was just upset. Gina tells Hope/Gina that she is well aware she wants to return to her former life as Hope, but she cannot ever return home again!

Hope/Gina says she can't stop her, but Gina asks her what she is going to do about moi? Hope/Gina says she just won't exist any longer, but Gina asks how she will pull that one off? Hope/Gina says Bo's love will save her. Gina laughs and says John's love wasn't able to save her, John betrayed her when he forgot about her. Gina tells her that the minute she hands the Rennet over to Stefano, Stefano will betray her, and then Bo will betray her. Hope/Gina doesn't believe her, so Gina calls her a fool.

She tells Hope/Gina that the only way for her to survive is if they work together. Hope/Gina tells herself that this is not real and that Princess Gina is dead and her soul belongs to Hope. Gina tells her that she owns her soul now and forever! Hope/Gina says Stefano couldn't take John's soul, so why isn't it the same for her? Gina tells her that Stefano had other plans for John, but Hope/Gina says John still had control over who he was. Gina reminds her once again that her soul belongs to Princess Gina, that is who she is now.

Hope/Gina tells her no, the real Gina is dead and she was a creation of Stefano's. Gina reminds her that she was oh so happy to live as Gina all those years ago, and to have John in her bed. Gina tells her that she can still have John again, does she really want to throw John away for Bo, who will forsake her? Hope/Gina says she knows she can trust Bo, that is the one thing she doesn't have to question. Gina reminds her that Bo has let Hope down, disappointed her, even devastated her before.

Hope/Gina says Bo is not perfect, but he is flesh and blood. Hope/Gina says she has faith in Bo, and there is nothing she can do or say to change that. Hope/Gina tells Gina to get out of her life now and forever! Gina says she cannot get rid of her, but Hope/Gina says "Watch me!" Hope/Gina turns her back on Gina, who begins to fade away.

Gina doesn't understand why the satellite didn't eradicate Hope. Hope/Gina says it probably would have if Bo's love hadn't saved her. Hope/Gina tells Gina that Bo is her soul mate and nothing can keep them apart. Gina tells her that there is one thing that can keep them apart! Gina says death will keep her and Bo apart, because that is what is waiting for her if she tries to leave her behind. Hope/Gina says she won't leave Bo.

Gina tells her that Stefano will not let Bo survive, it is her turn to rescue Bo by letting him go back to Salem where he has people who love him. She says that Bo will live, and so shall she as Gina. Gina asks Hope/Gina to give her her hand. Hope/Gina reaches her hand out to Gina, but Bo suddenly shows up. Gina tells Hope/Gina to get rid of Bo for his own sake. Hope/Gina is confused and looks at both Bo and Gina. Bo asks her what she is looking at? Hope/Gina says she is looking at Gina. Bo is confused and asks if she is no longer inside her?

Hope/Gina reaches out to Gina, but Bo stops her and asks her what Gina wants? Hope/Gina tells him that she wants her to be Gina again. Bo asks Hope to look at him, so she does. Bo tells her that he doesn't remember not ever loving her, even when they were separated. He tells her that their love still lived on in his heart and dreams. He goes on and tells her that he cannot survive without her love. Gina tells Hope/Gina not to listen because Bo will just go back to Salem and find another Fancy Face.

Bo tells Hope that both her son and him need her, he asks her to trust him. Hope/Gina says she wants that. Bo tells her all she has to do is believe in the love they share, it will set her free. Hope/Gina looks at Gina and says Bo's love will free her from the hold she has on her. Hope tells Gina that it is over, and as Bo holds Hope, Gina vanishes as she sobs. Hope asks Bo what he is doing here?

He says he came to find her. She asks how he knew where to look? Bo tells her that their souls are connected. Hope can't believe he still loves her so much. Bo tells her that he will always love her, forever. Bo realizes he has Hope back, and they hug, and finally kiss. After he kisses her, Bo is positive she is his Fancy Face. Bo tells her that he's never letting her go, and Hope says good!

10/14 Gina is holding the CD of Hope's memories on it, pleased that her plan is starting to take shape. Kurt arrives, and Gina hides the CD. Kurt is relieved that Gina is safe, but worries about her plan, which involves doublecrossing Stefano. Gina says her only objective is to reunite with Greta and John.

Kurt tries to tell Gina that John will never love her, because he is happily married. Gina realizes that Kurt has seen John, and the man confesses that John was at the Chateau with Greta and Eric. Gina is furious, but forgives Kurt. She decides to call a famous plastic surgeon to see what can be done about her looks. Meanwhile, she instructs Kurt to make a copy of the CD.

Elsewhere, Rolf tells a furious Stefano that the CD is missing. As Kurt rifles through all his papers and other CDs, Stefano thinks Bo may have stolen it. He calls Bart on the cell phone and wants him to find Bo now. Bart calls back and tells Stefano that Bo was in jail, but just got released. Rolf thinks perhaps Stefano took it with him when he went to the other room to talk to Marlena. The two leave, and that gives Kurt the opportunity to return the CD. Rolf and Stefano return and they find the CD.

Out in the Paris alley, Bo holds Hope, he asks for her forgiveness for all he put her through. He blames himself for all of this because when she came back from Maison Blanche, he should have known she was Hope. Instead, because he did not believe in their love, he turned to Billie. Bo says that he's learned a lot about love, and when Hope was rejecting Bo this past year, the pain he felt was just a fraction of what she went through when he was with Billie.

He says that they is nothing he can do to erase the past, but he hopes that she will forgive him. Hope assures him that she loves him and never wants to leave him. The two decide to start celebrating, and a street vendor arrives. Bo goes to check out what he's selling, when her phone rings.

The real Princess Gina calls Hope and, posing as Ilsa, boasts that she needs her help to nail Stefano. Hope can't wait to get back at Stefano, and says that the three of them can take him down. Gina says that Bo cannot be involved. Hope says that she won't lie to him now, but Gina says it's just a little lie. Gina instructs Hope to meet her at Gina's Paris house.

Bo returns and gives Hope a tiny rock that is supposed to relieve stress and fear by rubbing it. Hope thanks him for the gift and says that she is emotionally and physically tired from her ordeal. She tells Bo that tomorrow they will start their life together and leaves.

10/15 At a Paris cafe, Doug and Julie are relieved to hear from Bo that he was able to reach Hope. Bo is thrilled, and informs the pair that Hope is resting. Bo suggests that he and Hope head back to Salem, which her parents agree on. But Doug is disappointed because they must leave for a royal wedding at which Doug will be singing.

Julie pipes in that they will just have to book a trip to Salem. Bo suggests that when he and Hope remarry, he wants Doug to sing as well. After Doug and Julie leave, he gets a phone call. It's his pop, whose called to tell him that Shawn Douglas is missing from school.

At the Chateau, Princess Gina stares at the disk filled with Hope's memories. She is puzzled that Hope did not meet her at the Paris house like she promised. She calls Hope, and tells the woman to meet her at the Chateau and to ring the bell at the gate. No matter, says Hope, because with her Princess Gina memories, she recalls where an extra key is hidden. Hope agrees to meet "Countess Ilsa", but has a new plan of her own to take down Stefano that does not involve any danger.

When Hope arrives, Princess Gina is looking through the wall holes, as Hope is marveling at the Chateau. The Countess comes in, wearing the black veiled hat. Hope tells her that she is free of the Princess Gina persona and that her plan to capture Stefano involves having the ISA arrest him when she takes him to the stolen Renet. Before the countess can answer, Hope's phone rings....it's Bo wondering where she is. Hope continues her lie, saying that she is at a spa to relax.

Bo, worried about the missing Shawn D, suggests that he return to Salem to prepare her welcome home. Hope agrees and says that she'll meet him in a couple days. With Bo out of the way, Princess Gina tells Hope that is not happy about the change in plans. Hope says this is the only way to get Stefano back for taking away four years of her life. Princess Gina says that it was really her life that was stolen, and, pulling back the veils, reveals her face. A stunned Hope realizes that the real Gina is not dead!

At the pub, Shawn and Caroline are worried about their grandson, but decide to go back to bed. Shawn D. shows up at the Brady Pub with a new look that includes spiked hair and pierced ears. As he is sneaking around the pub, Shawn turns on the lights, baseball bat in hand. Relieved to see his grandson, the boy informs them that he left the school because the boys there were all rich snobby jerks. Shawn and Caroline laugh, and Shawn wants to call Bo, but Shawn D says no.

10/18 Bart tells Stefano that he lost Gina/Hope. Stefano calls him a complete idiot! He says the satellite is almost in position and he has to get that painting back before he can transform Gina back into Hope. Bart says he does have good news, Bo Brady has gone back to Salem alone, so he is safe as Gina/Hope has asked. Stefano says he will find the painting himself and make sure Gina pays for double crossing him.

Stefano goes to the Paris house and is shocked to find it a mess, there are clothes thrown all over the place. He checks the safe to see if Gina put the painting in it, but she didn't. Inside is a porcelain figure of some sorts. He remembers the night Gina stole for him. The figure in the safe was something she stole from the Count, who also owned the painting. Gina made Stefano play hot and cold to find the painting. She eventually revealed it to him, she hid it under a couch cushion.

Back in real time, Stefano looks under the same couch cushion, but it is not there. He becomes frustrated and begins throwing things. He ends up throwing the statue at the wall, and inside it is a note. He reads the note, which says "Not even close."

Hope is stunned to see that Ilsa is actually Princess Gina. She wonders how this is possible, it can't be, she is dead! Gina lights up a cigarette and tells Hope that Stefano is pure evil and can do anything. Gina tells Hope that the future Stefano promised her (Hope) belongs to her (Gina). Hope asks her where she was living all this time?

Gina tells her that it is a sad story. She says Stefano took John away from her, and she fell into a deep depression and became useless to Stefano. Therefore, Stefano found a replacement for her. Hope says she remembers Maison Blance and the memory transfer, but what happened to her afterwards? Gina tells her that Stefano kept her imprisoned in this castle. She says she probably would have died unless Greta arrived here. Hope asks her why she didn't tell Greta the truth? Gina says not telling her was the most difficult decision she ever had to make.

She says she feared what Stefano would do to her or Greta. She tells Hope that because she lived her life, she owes her. She begs Hope to help her get her revenge on Stefano her way. Hope asks what she wants her to do? Gina says they should pool their resources to make an unbeatable combination. Hope reminds Gina that she is no longer Gina anymore, Bo brought her back. Gina reminds her that they have both had their future ripped away from them, so they should take Stefano's away.

Hope wants Stefano behind bars, but Gina says that is not enough. She wants Stefano to suffer by taking away everything he holds dear, starting with Spring Morning. Gina asks Hope where she hid the painting? Hope says she can't say, that painting is the only thing keeping her alive. She tells her that it is in a very safe place, not very far from her in fact. Hope plans to use the painting to put Stefano away for good, but Gina says she cannot do that.

Gina says she was Stefano's willing accomplice for years, and she will go to jail with Stefano. Hope tells her that won't happen, Stefano caused her breakdown. Gina says she will not be institutionalized either, she wants her freedom and will do anything to get it. Hope tells her not to be angry, and pulls out her phone to call Bo. She picks up a bust of Shakespeare and clobbers Hope upside the head with it. Hope falls to the ground, and Gina tells her that she made the wrong choice!

Dvd #41B 10/19 Bo comes to the Horton House to see Greta and learns that Shawn D is home, thanks to a call from Shawn and Caroline. Greta asks where Hope is? Bo says she is still in France, but she is safe. Greta is overjoyed by Bo's news. Bo thinks the entire nightmare is finally over. Bo asks how she is? Greta says she will be find. She says that Stefano paying for the heartache he caused is satisfying. Greta tells Bo that she got Eric a thank you gift, but ask Bo if he thinks it is too forward?

Bo asks her if something happened between them in France? Greta says she and Eric kissed, and she thought it meant something, but now she's not so sure. Bo tells her that Eric is not the kind of guy to kiss just anyone. Suddenly, Bo gets a call from Roman about Sami's helicopter crash. Bo decides to head over to the hospital and he invites Greta because Eric is there.

Stefano is steamed that Gina/Hope has betrayed him. He wonders where she could have hidden the painting, and then thinks it is in the air shaft above the Harriman gallery. Bart goes to the Harriman estate to retrieve the painting, but the only thing in the air shaft is an empty tube. Bart tells him that Gina is getting careless, she left a glove in the air shaft.

Stefano says the glove is old and worn, it could not be hers. Bart asks if she has an accomplice? Stefano says it is possible that someone at the party may have learned more than he or she should have known. Bart asks Stefano what he wants him to do next? Stefano orders him to return to the Harriman's and bring back the surveillance tapes.

Bart returns later with the tapes and sees "Countess Ilsa" and remembers their chat in the art gallery. He wonders how she knew so much about him, Gina, and the art thefts. Bart suggests Kurt told his mother, but Stefano doesn't think Gina, in her present state of mind, could have told him anything. He wonders if Gina/Hope could have been careless and let "Ilsa" overhear their plans. He orders Bart to find out everything he can about "Ilsa" and to find Gina as well.

Gina clubs Hope over the head with a bust. Kurt shows up and asks what has happened? Gina tells him that she had no choice, Hope was going to ruin her plan. Gina asks Kurt for his car keys, but refuses to say what she wants to do with them. Kurt asks what they are going to do about Hope? Gina tells him that they will take care of her once she returns.

Gina returns later with the Rennet. Gina managed to retrieve it before Bart could. She tells Kurt that they must find someplace safe to hide the Rennet. Gina writes out a list of things to do for Kurt while she takes care of some things herself. Gina tells Kurt that after he has taken care of Hope, plant a rose bush because nobody will question why the ground has been dug up. GIna leaves, leaving Kurt concerned.

Stefano expects "Ilsa's" arrival as he had Bart follow her. Stefano invites "Ilsa" inside. She comments about the mess, she says someone is obviously searching for something. Stefano tells her that she knows damn well what he has been searching for. He demands she give him his painting now! He accuses her of being Gina's accomplice. "Ilsa" tells Steffie that he is not even close! Stefano says there can only be one explanation, and he whips off her veil. He is stunned to see Gina!

10/20 Bo tells Shawn D that he's rather attached to being called dad. Shawn D says not everyone has a dad or a family, but Bo tells him that he has both. He asks him what is up with him? Shawn D says he's looking around and doesn't see mom, as usual. Bo tells her that she'll be here, but he's glad she isn't because of what he's done to himself.

Bo and Shawn D go to the Java Cafe and Bo asks him why he ran away from boarding school? Shawn D said he hated it. Bo says he knows that, but they agreed he would stay there until he and his mom could pick him up. Shawn D said he changed his mind, something his parents seem to do quite often. He asks his dad why his mom isn't here worrying about him? Bo says he didn't tell her about his running away because he didn't want to worry her anymore than she already is.

Bo tells him if he stops acting like a punk, this may be the best year of their lives. He decides to call Hope, but Shawn D stops him because he doesn't want his mom bummed out. Bo says "Awww, the tough guy has a heart." Bo tells him to drink his coffee and then they can go back to the boarding school and get his stuff. Shawn D blurts out "No way!" Bo tells Shawn D that he owes the head master an explanation, but Shawn D doesn't understand why he even has to go to school period.

Bo says he is sorry to hear him say that because he was going to work on the boat some more, but without an education he can't be too much help. Shawn D agrees to go to school, but only if he has his stuff from boarding school shipped here. Bo tells him that he has a deal. He then tells Shawn D that his mom will be home soon and they will be a family. Bo realizes Shawn D doesn't believe him, so he decides to call Hope and have her tell him herself.

In France, Hope is unconscious and lying on a bed. Her phone rings, and she begins to stir awake. She slowly reaches for her purse. However, Kurt comes in and yells at Hope not to go near the phone. Hope gets up and knees Kurt in the groin. She answers the phone and yells "Bo Bo!" but Bo hangs up before he can hear her. Bo thinks she must be at the spa. Bo asks Shawn D if he got the chocolates they sent? Shawn D says he did.

Bo tells him not to fall over thanking him. Shawn D says chocolates aren't the center of the universe. Bo and Shawn D end up arguing about Bo and Hope's relationship, and Bo tells him to just shut up and listen. He tells Shawn D that he plans to propose to his mom when she gets home, and he thinks she'll say yes. Shawn D says she turned him down last winter, but Bo says there were some extenuating circumstances back then, but not anymore. Shawn D wants to believe his dad, but his dad is overly optimistic.

Bo tells him that he is going on a gut feeling and his faith, he'll know what it feels like when he falls in love some day. Bo promises Shawn D that now he and his mom are okay and safe, taking care of him is their number one priority. Bo says everything will be back on track, but Shawn D tells his dad that their lives will never be back on track, and he doesn't need school to teach him that. Shawn D stomps off, and Bo calls Hope in order to get some help. However, he only gets a French operator telling him that all circuits are busy.

Stefano is shocked to see Gina standing right in front of him. She tells him that this was hardly the reception she was hoping for. Stefano tells her that she looks so . . . . Stefano asks her how she got out of the turret room? Gina asks him if he though he could keep her locked there forever, but then realizes he did. Stefano tells her that he did it for her own good, but she tells him that is rubbish!

She tells him that she knows about the new Gina he created using Hope. She accuses him of robbing her of her future with Greta and John, so she must repay him. She starts stroking his hair and tells Stefano that she has come up with a plan to deprive him of that which he prizes about all else. Stefano says it is not possible for her to deprive him of anything because he controls her. Gina corrects him and says DID control, past tense.

Stefano asks how she knows all about this, is she working with Hope to trying to defeat him? Gina says Hope stole her life and wants nothing to do with her. Stefano is glad to her that and says he has been distracted from finding his Rennet for too long. Gina tells him that if his intention is to go look for her, he shouldn't waste his time.

Gina tells Steffie that if he wants the Rennet, he needs her! Stefano tells her to just tell him where the Rennet is if she knows. GIna asks him why she should do that? Stefano says fine, he'll just ask Hope when she gets here because it is the only way she'll get the future she wants. Gina sips the drink she just poured and says, under her breath, that Hope doesn't have a future.

Gina thanks him and says she happened to paint that picture today. Stefano tells her that he didn't realize she still practiced her craft. Gina tells him that it is closer than he thinks. He approaches the painting and peals the canvas off, which reveals Spring Morning. He exclaims "The Rennet is mine despite you and Hope!" Stefano starts talking about his art collection. Gina tells him that those paintings are like she was, locked away from the world. Stefano says when you have something valuable, you tend not to want to share.

Gina walks over to a desk, picks something up, and walks back over to Stefano, who is still admiring his painting. They both stand there, cocking their heads from side to side. Suddenly Gina squirts lighter fluid all over the painting and sets it on fire! Stefano watches in horror as his Rennet goes up in flames.

At the castle, Kurt is worrying about Gina and her risky plan. He starts shaking the shovel he is holding and says if Stefano learns of her plan, he will bury them both alive! Kurt goes inside and gets into a fight with Hope when he sees her going for her phone. Kurt manages to get the phone away from her, and tells her not to bother screaming because this room is sound proof, and nobody is around for miles.

Hope asks him what is going on? Kurt says he follows his orders, that's all. Hope warns him that if she doesn't get home, Bo will come looking for her. Kurt assures Hope that there are ways to make sure nobody comes looking for her. Hope is positive that Bo will come for her because he loves her. Kurt tells her that Gina used to say the same thing about John. Kurt leaves, and Hope bangs on the door that Bo will come for her!

10/21 At the Java Cafe, Bo meets up with Roman for coffee. Bo tells his brother that Hope will be home soon and they will begin starting their lives soon. Roman hopes he will be able to put Stefano away soon. Bo says Hope still has Gina's memories, so she can testify against him. Suddenly, Bo gets a feeling that Hope is in danger. Bo tries to call Hope again, but her phone is turned off. Roman offers to go to Paris with him if he wants to. Bo thanks him, but says Hope has been telling him to trust her, so he needs to do that. Besides, he thinks the feeling he is having has to do with Shawn D's problems.

Bo tells Roman about his problems with Shawn D. Roman laughs and tells Bo that his son is exactly like him. Later, Eric runs into Bo, and Bo notices the look on Eric's face. He asks what is going on with him? Eric admits that he has a date with Greta tonight. He then shows Bo the camera Greta got him. Bo tells Eric that Greta is a special woman, who has led a very sheltered life. Eric knows and he says they are taking it slow, he learned what can happen when you rush into a relationship. Bo says he knows what it is like to have your life ripped out from under you, and he tells him to keep trying, it will get better.

Shawn runs into Bo, and insist his dad drop the D from his name. Bo says whatever it takes to keep the lines of communication open. Shawn tells his dad that he sounds like Dr Marlena Evans now. Bo says they can talk more about this at home. Shawn asks where that might be? He is living with his grandma, Bo is living on the boat, and Hope is still in France. Shawn stomps off, and Bo hopes Hope comes home soon.

In Paris at the castle, Hope bangs on the door and yells at Kurt to open the door. He of course doesn't, and Hope eventually gives up. She begins looking around the room, and finds all of the sketches of John in closet. She feels bad for Gina, but worries about what type of revenge she is out for. Kurt returns later to see if Hope wants anything to eat.

Hope asks Kurt why Gina is keeping her locked up here, she did not do anything to her. Kurt tells her that she stole Gina's life. Hope says Stefano stole Gina's life and hers. She says she wants her life, not Gina's. She begs Kurt to let her go, but Kurt says he can't do that. Hope tells him that he is sealing his own fate, she and Bo always know when the other is in trouble and he will come for her. Kurt grows tired of her "whining and idle threats" so he leaves.

At the Paris house, Gina sets Stefano's Rennet on fire, and when he runs up to the painting, she squirts lighter fluid on him so he catches on fire. Stefano turns into a human torch as Gina screams "Burn!" Stefano collapses to the floor, Gina takes off, and Rolf finds Stefano on the floor. Stefano is barely alive. Rolf tells him to stay calm while he runs and gets a special ointment for him. As Rolf applies it to his charred skin, Stefano screams in pain.

Stefano says GIna has escaped and destroyed the painting. Rolf bandages Stefano, and he looks like the invisible man. Rolf tells him he needs to get him to a burn specialist, but Stefano says he has to get to Gina before she can turn evidence in on him. He realizes that Gina is probably at the chateau. Stefano tells Rolf to bring the car around. Rolf leaves to get the car, and Stefano says Gina is going to pay with more than her freedom!

Gina returns to the castle, and Kurt asks what happened to Stefano? Gina says she wishes she could say he is burning in hell, but he is close. As she puffs on a cigarette, Gina tells Kurt to head back to Paris to start working on phase two. Kurt tells Gina that Hope is very unhappy and thinks Bo will come looking for her. Gina says she will take care of Bo, and anyone else, who stands in her way.

Kurt leaves to carry out her orders, and Gina goes to see Hope. Gina tells Hope that she had to take care of Stefano, and the Rennet. She says she found out where the Rennet was. Hope asks what she did with it? Gina says she gave it to Stefano, but then she destroyed it! Hope can't believe she is still alive. Gina laughs and says Stefano was too preoccupied with saving his Rennet to notice her walking away. Hope tells her that Stefano will come after her for revenge.

Gina is counting on it, and she is going to help her nail Stefano. Hope says she will do anything she wants her to do. Gina tells Hope that she wants to know everything she did to help Stefano, and how she won John's love. Hope tells her everything she did, and Gina says that it all is so beyond imagination. Hope tells Gina that she knows she wants to reclaim her life, and she can help her by proving to John and Greta that the woman in the casket was not her. Hope says without her, Greta will thinks she is another imposter. She begs Gina to let her help her, she can have her entire life back, John included.

Kurt goes to the Paris house and realizes Stefano is still inside. He takes out his cell phone and calls the house. Inside, Stefano hears Kurt leave a message on the machine to meet him at a certain bridge at midnight. Stefano thinks Kurt wants to meet with Gina, so he decides to go there as well.

10/22 Bo and Shawn have arrived at Gran's and Bo wants to help him pack to move home but Shawn says that his home is there ­ it's the only home he knows right now and runs off. The doorbell rings and Bo answers it ­ it's Eric there to pick up Greta. He looks dapper in his suit and then Greta comes in the hallway. He says she looks fantastic and Greta blushes. Bo smiles and when Eric says he promises to have her home by 10 and that they're going to Tuscany for dinner.

Bo says she can stay out as long as she likes because he trusts Eric. Cute ­ almost like Bo's the daddy here. Bo wants to call Hope while they are there and when he tries her phone is still off. He is a little worried about this and wonders if maybe he shouldn't return to Paris. He tries again and this time the call goes through but it's PG that answers pretending to be Hope.

When she hears Bo's voice she hangs up and so Bo tries again. She lies and says there was a bad connection and before she can say much Bo hands the phone to Greta to say hello. This catches PG off guard as she hears Greta's voice. They talk briefly and she hands the phone back to Bo and she and Eric head out.

Shawn comes in the room and so Bo puts him on the phone. When he says he hated boarding school ­ she says it builds character. He says he thought she liked his character. He says they won the championship but she hasn't even asked him about that. Oh yeah she says, how many goals did you score?

“What?” asks Shawn. ­ “I played baseball not soccer. ­ Who are you? ­ You are not my mom!” Bo's ears perk up at that comment. Gina says she just got confused and tries to cover. Bo takes the phone back and she starts crumpling paper and pretending the connection is bad and hangs up. Bo and Shawn D sit on the stairs and Bo comes down on him for giving Hope such a hard time ­ he says she has been through a lot with Stef and stuff. Shawn just says he will always take up for Hope and Bo agrees to that.

10/25 At the castle in France, Hope finds Princess GIna's escape tunnel, but she also finds "My enemies will die" painted above the makeshift tunnel. Kurt shows up to make sure Hope is all right. Hope doubts he really cares about her. She begs Kurt to let her go so she can help Gina if Stefano hasn't already killed her. Kurt says he can't do that, he is under orders to keep her locked up here.

Kurt eventually leaves to make Hope some hot chocolate because she said she was cold. After he is gone, she begins working to dig her way out. Kurt returns later with the hot chocolate. Hope hugs the pot he brought her to warm her up. Once he is gone, Hope continues to work on digging. She eventually grabs an axe and starts swinging at the wall, but ends up breaking the axe.

On the bridge, Gina asks Stefano if he is going to kill her? Stefano asks how he can kill someone who is already dead? Gina tells Steffie that she's not dead, but Stefano says they are the only ones who know that. Gina says he is wrong again, Kurt knows. Stefano says Kurt would never cross him, and nobody will ever miss her. Gina tells Stefano if he's going to kill her, just do it. Stefano says that is to easy, he wants her to suffer like has has been suffering. Stefano tells Gina that she will spend the rest of her days alone in the turret, no John, no Greta. Gina calls him a lousy bastard and begins beating him up.

She knocks Stefano down, but he surprises her by getting back up. Stefano calls her a lowlife wench and pushes her off the bridge! Gina is clinging to the side of the bridge, and Stefano steps on her hands. Before she falls, Gina screams "Burn in hell Stefano!" We see a screaming Gina fall to the river below. Stefano tells himself that this wasn't the way he wanted it to end, and hopes Gina can find the peace she couldn't in life. Stefano leaves, and Kurt shows up and shines a flashlight down into the water to spot Gina. He soon comes across a ripped piece of her clothing clinging to the broken railing.

10/26 At the Horton house, Greta is sitting on the couch in her robe when Bo shows up. He asks her why she is home so early? Greta says she wasn't feeling well so she cut her night short. Greta decides to go to bed, but Bo knows something else is going on and asks her what happened. Greta tells Bo that he has his own problems, but Bo wants to help her. He asks if Eric upset her tonight?

Greta tells Bo that she is confused about Eric's feelings. She says that in Europe everything was great, but now she thinks Eric is still in love with Nicole. She tells him about Nicole's speech to her in the ladies room, and she is wondering if Eric could love anyone else other than Nicole. Bo tells Greta that he talked with Eric today and he cares for her, he just wants to take things slow. Bo suggests they put their troubles behind them and try and have fun.

Bo and Greta go to the Cheatin' Heart and they invite Billie over when she shows up. Billie says she is meeting Nicholas here for the second part of their date. When Bo says the night is young, Billie says "Yeah, ask Eric and Nicole." She sees the look on Greta's face and realizes that she made a big mistake saying what she did. Greta asks her to explain. Billie says Nicole got hammered and left with Eric, he was probably just driving her home. Billie leaves to freshen up, and Bo tells Greta not to jump to conclusions, she needs to talk to Eric first. Eric shows up at the Cheatin Heart and Bo calls him over to their table. Eric is surprised to see Greta, he thought she wasn't feeling well. Greta says she rested up and Bo talked her into coming out with him.

At the bar, Billie tells Bo that she can't imagine where Nicholas is. Bo is glad she is happy and getting out more. He apologizes if he has been insensitive towards her, but she knows he is doing everything he can to be with the one he loves, and she's happy for him and Hope.

10/27 Bo and Shawn are having breakfast at the Java Cafe. Bo tries to talk to Shawn about school, but he's not very talkative. Bo asks him what his problem with school is all of the sudden? Shawn asks his dad what he wants from him, does he want him to tell him what he's planning to do with the rest of his life? Bo tells him that he's worried about him, but Shawn thinks he's just worried about mom and is taking it out on him.

They start arguing about Hope again and how she has been through hell. Bo hopes that Shawn will make an attitude adjustment before his mom gets home. Shawn says this is who he is and he has to deal with it. Before Shawn runs off to school, Bo tells him to stay out of trouble. Shawn says mom is the one who is always in trouble, so he should give her the lecture!

Bo runs into Billie in Salem Place. He tells her that she's a lot happier looking today. Billie says that she learned she was not stood up, Nicholas got caught up helping someone change a flat tire. Bo is glad, and Billie tells Bo that she appreciated his concern. She tells Bo that she realizes now she is fully over him, and Nicholas might be the man she can open her heart up to.

Billie tells Bo that his love for Hope has inspired her, she won't settle for anything than that kind of love. Bo is happy for her, but tells her to make sure Nicholas knows how she feels. Billie says she will, she's even buying Nicholas a special gift. After Billie leaves, Bo gets a call about Shawn.

At the hospital, Bo shows up to pick up Shawn, who is fine. Bo is angry with his son for repeating his mistakes. Shawn asks his dad which mistake would that be? Bo becomes upset and says that if he gets in trouble again, he is grounded. Shawn says he can't believe he's getting in trouble for helping a defenseless girl. Belle, who has shown up, overhears this and takes offense. Belle says she can handle herself, so Shawn says that he'll let her take care of herself next time. She says she is very sensitive about violence, a lot of women in her family have been hurt. Belle tells Shawn he should understand because of his mom, doesn't he care about her?

At the lab in Paris, Stefano tells Rolfe that the transformation of Hope must be completed tonight. Rolfe says they don't know where she is. Stefano is positive that Bart will find her in time.

At the castle, Kurt almost catches Hope working on digging her way through the castle wall. Hope covers up what she was doing and tells Kurt that she was just hiding from him. Kurt says he isn't in the mood for jokes. Hope asks why not, has something happened? Kurt remembers finding Gina's clothes on the railing of the bridge and tells her that it is nothing that concerns her.

Kurt notices someone is at the gate, so he quickly leaves the room. Hope returns to working on her hole, and eventually breaks through. She squeezes through the passage making sure to cover it back up with the curtain when she's through.

Downstairs, a still bandaged Stefano is exploring the castle. Kurt asks him who he is? Stefano identifies himself. Stefano has come here to check on his property, he is the owner of this chateau. Stefano has his henchmen Bruno search this entire chateau to make sure everything is as it should be. Kurt asks Stefano where Princess Gina is? Stefano tells him that he gave Gina her freedom.

At this point, Hope finds the spy hole in the secret passage and begins spying on them. She hears Stefano tell Kurt that he will no longer need his services. He says that he is leaving the country, and Gina is out traveling and will not be returning. Kurt accuses Stefano of killing Princess Gina. Stefano tells Kurt that if he values his life he will not repeat that accusation to him or anyone! Stefano orders Kurt to leave the premises, vanish, from this moment on he has never heard of Princess Gina or Stefano DiMera.

Bruno returns and tells Stefano that he found nothing anywhere. Stefano once again tells Kurt to leave this place and never come back. After Stefano leaves, Hope makes a sound in the passage which Kurt hears. Kurt eventually finds Hope. Hope asks if Gina is really dead? He doesn't answer, he just looks hurt.

Hope tells him not to let Stefano get away with this, if they call Bo then Stefano can be put away forever. Hope tells him that together they can avenge her death. Kurt says Gina's last words were for her (Hope) to suffer as much as she had. Kurt grabs her, but Hope ends up knocking him out. She grabs her phone and calls Bo and tells him that she's on the next plane to Salem. She says she has something to tell him, but their connection is cut off.

Stefano returns to the lab and tells Rolfe to proceed with the transformation. Stefano knows that she is still in France, so he tells Rolfe to jack up the laser beam. Rolfe says he can't guarantee Hope's safety if he alters the frequency. Stefano says whatever happens to Hope after the transformation is none of their concern. Rolfe alters the coordinates, but says he can't guarantee Hope's survival.

10/28 Bo finds Shawn at the arena and didn't know he was a fight fan. Shawn says he saw a documentary on Muhammad Ali and it sparked his interest. When Bo makes a joke about watching Austin and Brandon to pick up some pointers for his next fight, Shawn gets upset and says he was only trying to defend Belle. Bo smiles because he thinks Shawn might be interested in her.

Bo tells Shawn that maybe he should have waited to see what Belle would have done before helping her. Shawn asks Bo if he waited to see if mom needed help? Bo says that is a different situation entirely. Abe shows up and is glad to see Bo back, and Shawn. When he says they should get together and talk about things, Shawn says he doesn't want to hear another lecture about running away from school and the way he dresses. Abe tells Bo that he's going to have his hands full with Shawn.

Everyone takes their seats. Craig introduces the two contestants, Brandon is wearing black and Austin is wearing blue. The fighters take to their corners, the referee explains the rules, and the match begins. Both Brandon and Austin get some good hits, and the round ends.

10/29 Bo gets a call from a laughing Hope who says she is home. Hope tells him that she's waiting for him on the boat. Bo tells everyone at the arena that Hope is back. He asks Abe and Lexie if they can take Greta home? They says they can, so Bo and Shawn leave to see Hope. Actually, Bo has to drag Shawn D away from the fight.

Bo and Shawn head down to the docks to see Hope. Bo becomes fed up with Shawn and tells him to stop being so selfish. Shawn says he was enjoying the fight, but Bo says he is the one who wanted his family back together. Shawn says they aren't close anymore, which is why Bo says this is important. Bo tells him that they can be close again. They arrive at the boat, and Hope jumps into Bo's arms. After hugging Bo, she hugs Shawn and tells him that she's missed him so much, and he's never looked more handsome.

Hope has broken out the champagne, and has cherry soda for Shawn. Shawn says this was his favorite when he was like ten. Hope apologizes for not knowing. Shawn says that is because she was never around. Hope says he has a right to be upset, she has been a stranger to both him and his dad over the last year. Bo says Shawn has to understand that it wasn't her fault.

Still, Hope says she wants to make up for lost time. Bo tells Hope that she should go down to the station to make a statement about DiMera, all the information she has about Stefano can put him away for good. Hope says she doesn't want to think about that right now, she wants to concentrate on them being a family.

Bo pops open the champagne bottle, which startles Hope. Bo makes a short toast to the power of love, and he holds Hope. She tells Bo that this is where she belongs, in his arms. Shawn sits down on the boat and watches his mom and dad acting like newlyweds, he doesn't exactly seem to be enjoying himself. He eventually says he is out of here, he doesn't want to get in the way. Hope says she didn't mean to exclude him, but he acts like an ass and takes off. Hope tells Bo that he should go after Shawn, he needs his dad right now. Bo takes after Shawn, and finds him on the docks alone.

In Paris at the castle, Kurt is morning Gina. He continues mumbling that if Gina was here Hope wouldn't have escaped. Kurt limps off to try and find Hope, and later answers the phone when it rings. It is Princess Gina calling! She tells him that she is very much alive and is in Salem! Gina is on the Fancy Face II and tells him that she's never been better. Yup, that wasn't Hope, it was Gina!

11/1 Bo tried to get through to Shawn. He said that they could be a family again, but Shawn said families were about each other. He said that mom saw him as someone who got in her way, and she didn't "give a damn" about him. Bo asked "where the hell" that was from. Shawn asked to drop it, but Bo refused. He said that Shawn had to drop this selfish attitude. Bo explained that Shawn's mother had been through hell. She'd been living someone else's life, and the only thing that had gotten her back was her love for them.

Shawn said living someone else's life was a lame excuse and asked what Bo's excuse was. Bo asked, "For what?" Shawn replied, "Never mind." Bo didn't understand what had gotten into Shawn. He had never talked to his father that way before. Shawn advised Bo to get used to it because that was how he talked, and Bo and Hope only had themselves to blame.

Bo told Shawn that he was not going to tolerate him anymore. Bo said Shawn should count his blessings and the positive things he had. Bo said he was beginning to feel sorry he had gone there that night. Shawn thought his dad didn't want to spend time with him, so he said he'd see Bo around. Shawn left, and the older Shawn showed up. Shawn asked what was going on with Hope and wondered if she was all right. Bo said she was; he was just having problems with his son.

Bo asked why Shawn had gone looking for him. Shawn told the news about Austin. He then asked what was going on between Bo and his son. Bo said he didn't know. He tried to talk to Shawn D, but they spoke two different languages. Shawn said the boy was just acting like a teenager, and he'd turn it around.

Bo remembered when Shawn D was born and said that he'd vowed to make sure Shawn D felt loved and valued, but he didn't know where he had gone wrong. Shawn said Bo hadn't done anything wrong. Kids always blamed their parents for everything bad. However, he assured Bo that it would change with time. He asked if Bo had ever doubted that he loved him. Bo said no, even though he'd said he doubted it.

Shawn told Bo, "There you are." He said he knew they'd never seen things eye to eye, but they'd worked things out. Bo just hoped he and his Shawn didn't take as long to work things out. Bo remembered when Shawn D had said a hug from him made everything all right, but he'd gotten too old for that. Shawn said no son was too old for a hug from his dad, and the two hugged.

Hope showed up at the Paris airport and begged to be admitted onto the plane. The French pilots allowed her to fly on the cargo plane for five hundred francs. Hope said her purse had been stolen, and she could pay them back when she reached her destination. The man at the airport said there was nothing he could do for her then.

Later, Hope called Bo but only got the machine. She heard the plane starting up and begged to be allowed on the plane. When they told her no, she apologized for bothering them. She saw they all had their backs turned to her, so she made a break for it. Unfortunately, the police soon started chasing her and caught her, but she managed to get away once again.

On the Fancy Face II, Gina, pretending to be Hope, told Kurt, via the phone, that she couldn't explain what she was doing; he should just keep Hope prisoner. When she asked about Hope, Kurt said not to worry about her. After hanging up, Gina admired the work her doctor had done.

The phone rang, and the answering machine clicked on. Gina was shocked to hear Hope asking Bo to pick up the phone. Hope said she was at a country airport near the castle and needed his help. She said she'd try again later and hung up. Gina called Kurt and blasted him for lying to her about Hope. She told him where Hope was and said to go get her immediately.

Bo returned to the boat to see "Hope." He saw they had a message and decided to play it. "Hope" told him it was a telemarketer, so he didn't need to bother. Bo noticed how dressed up she was and asked her where she wanted to go that late at night.
