Bo & Hope #45 June 20 - November 6, 2000: 8 hour original edit

DVD #45A 6/20 Bo and Hope agree to name their new son John. Later, when John finds out, he suggests they choose another name.

6/22 Bo, Hope, and John are at the hospital discussing the baby's name when Dr. Bader comes in to release Hope. She says the baby has to stay. John walks out of the room so Dr. Bader can talk to Bo and Hope. He goes to the nursery to see what is wrong with the baby where he talks to a nurse. She says the baby may have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. She explains the symptoms to John.

He goes into the nursery to see the boy and starts to talk to him. He tells him that he needs to be strong, then asks himself if he could be the baby's father. Dr. Bader tells Bo and Hope that the baby has a fever, but his vital signs are at normal range. She tries to convince Hope to go home. Hope finally agrees, but only after they see the baby.

6/27 Lexie was worried to find Hope back at the hospital. Dr. Bader informed Hope that the infant was stable and could go home with her.

6/30 Stefano taunted John with the idea that, at any time, Hope could remember they had made love on the submarine. He urged John to find and remove the computer chip if it was in Hope's head.

Hope worried to Bo about her fear that their baby was rejecting her. When she asked what she might have done to Gina to cause that, Bo put her off and left for work. When John arrived, Hope rushed to his arms and embraced him.

7/3 Hope complains to a wary John that she is afraid that Gina is inside her. She admits that she feels closer to him than anyone except Bo. Later, Hope has trouble getting her baby to stop crying.

7/11 Bo and Hope are disappointed to find Stefano has arrived for a visit. He hands Hope a bracelet as a gift and inquires about the baby.

7/14 Bo and Hope arrive at the hospital, and Nancy and Craig decide to do some damage control by taking very good care of Hope and "her" baby. Craig checks on the baby, and later tells them that it appears he had a crib seizure, which is very normal. Alice and Hope go in to see the baby, and Craig tells Bo what a wonderful woman Alice Horton is. He also says he is saddened by the fact that he never met Tom Horton and hopes he'll be able to earn half the respect he was given one day. Bo tells him he's on his way, and then leaves to see the baby. Bo assures Hope that she is not to blame for "their" baby's condition, and he swears that they will all get through this together.

7/24 At Hope's, Lexie and Hope have their little babies in bassinets. Hope can't believe how rested and relaxed Lexie looks and she jokes that she does not look like the mother of a newborn. Lexie says it isn't her, it is Isaac, he loves to sleep. Lexie sees the reaction on Hope's face and tells her not to compare their situations because she's sure her situation is the norm. Hope says she doesn't think so.

Hope tells Lexie that she had hoped she was only overreacting before, but now she knows it is true. Hope tells Lexie that there is definitely something wrong with her baby. Lexie tells Hope that little John's cheeks are filling out, and he is smiling. Lexie and Hope talk about baby John's doctor, and Lexie assures Hope that he is a very good doctor. Hope cries that she just loves her baby so much, she just wishes he knew that he wasn't alone in this. Lexie tells Hope that he knows.

John shows up to see Hope and the baby. He had brought a gift for baby John, which Marlena bought, and he apologizes to Lexie for not bringing Isaac's gift, but he didn't know she would be here. He then tells Isaac, thinking he is Hope's baby, that he will look so cool in that outfit. Lexie tells John that she hopes he didn't buy the same outfit for Isaac because he's already outgrown newborn's clothes. John realizes he's confused the babies, and then he tells Hope's baby that he'll grow soon. John says he is beautiful, but Hope says he is miserable. John says it is not his fault what Gina did to him.

Hope reminds him that he's talking about her. John says she is not responsible, and she is nothing like Gina. Hope starts worrying about what she did to her baby. John says that they don't know everything she did as Gina, but they do know she created a little miracle. When Lexie says John is right about Little John,

John is shocked to learn they went ahead and named the baby after him. Hope hopes he is not upset about it. John says he will just have to keep a closer eye on his name sake from now on. Suddenly, John notices something is wrong with the baby. Lexie decides to take him inside so she can get a better look at him, while Hope demands to know what is wrong with the baby.

7/27 Belle and Shawn stop by Hope and Bo's place to ask about a job for Mimi's dad. John hushes them that it isn’t a good times Lexie is looking over the baby. Lexie guesses it's jaundice when they notice something's wrong with baby John. John offers to take them to the hospital but Bo refuses. At the hospital, Bo explains to the doctor about Hope's pre-natal adventures and he guesses that their baby is suffering from fetal alcohol syndrome. Hope feels guilty but admits that she doesn't remember everything that happened to her.

8/2 With Bo working, John ends up helping Hope with her crying baby and assures her that he will be there for her. Dr. Maxwell confirms for Hope and Lexie that Hope's baby does suffer from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

8/4 Hope tells Bo and Shawn the bad news, that baby John has been diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Both are shocked and saddened, but promise to do whatever they can to make sure the boy has a good life. Later, when hope isn't looking, a mystery person sneaks up and takes baby John.

8/7 It was John who took Baby John from the front porch without Hope's knowledge, to try to get a DNA sample. When confronted by Bo and the barrel of his gun, John made up a story about the baby crying and he took him in an effort to comfort him without thinking about the consequences. Hope then told Doug, Julie and John that the baby has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and John immediately said he would find the best doctors in the world to treat him, a suggestion that Bo turned down, saying that Dr. Maxwell is tops in his field.

Doug and Julie said they would stay in Salem for as long as Hope wanted them to offer all their hope and support. John told Bo that he is having visions and although he can't see the face of the person giving him orders, he knows the voice is Stefano's. He said that he doubts that all of the visions he is having really happened. In the wake of this, John advised Bo to lay off Stefano.

8/14 Abe complains to Bo about Stefano being in his family's life because of Lexie. John explains to Hope that he's going to help fund research for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Bo's upset when he finds John at the house again. Stefano orders Bart to follow John and stop him from taking DNA from Hope's baby. Rolf lets Stefano know that Stefano is not Hope's father.

8/15 Shawn talks with Hope about helping to build Mimi's family's house on Whitley Street where there has been rumors of witches and the like for years. Hope assures him that when she was on duty as a cop, she only saw drunks "haunting" that part of town. When Lexie arrives, Shawn takes off, leaving the two new mommies to talk and compare babies. Hope notices little Isaac doing some things that Shawn did as an infant. Lexie suggests they have their babies baptized before Hope and Bo tie the knot in the back yard.

Stefano sends Rolf to the lab while John waits to hear the DNA test results. A disguised Rolf hands Dr. Frost a "donation" check worth ten thousand dollars. Rolf then tries to get involved with the test. Rolf returns and after John leaves, boasts to Stefano that the switch has been made to fool John.

8/16 Lexie and Hope shop for wedding dresses. Hope reminisces about the designer wedding dress she wore in her first wedding to Bo. Lexie encourages her that it won’t matter to Bo what she wears walking down the aisle to him. John gets the test results from the lab and finds Stefano there to congratulate him.

8/17–8/25 n/a

8/28 Bo went into the station, and Abe offered him the day off so he could go to the hospital and be with Hope. Abe knew that Lexie and Hope were taking their babies in for checkups. Bo said that he felt he needed to keep a routine going, and it would drive Hope crazy if he hovered over her all the time. Bo just hoped the doctor had some good news for Hope because he didn't think she could take any more bad news. Abe said that he knew what Bo meant, and being a father had made him realize that he needed to straighten things out with Larry Morris.

Abe realized something was bothering Bo and asked if he wanted to talk about it. Bo told Abe that Hope still didn't remember her times as Princess Gina, who she had been with, and what she had been doing. Abe thought Bo was concerned about what Hope might have done with Stefano. Bo replied, "Stefano and any one of the other many men Gina had falling at her feet." Abe asked if Bo thought little John might not be his son. Bo said that Hope felt their connection was so strong that she wouldn't have made love to anyone else, no matter who she'd thought she was.

Abe suggested Bo talk to Hope about it, but Bo didn't think Hope was strong enough to deal with the truth. Bo decided to head home to see Hope. Abe asked Bo to wait five minutes, and he'd tag along to check on Lexie. Bo thought to himself that perhaps he should tell Hope the truth; perhaps she was strong enough to handle it.

Hope and Lexie went in together to see the doctor with their babies. The doctor had never talked to two mothers at the same time. Hope said that, even though their babies had been born on the same day, she knew Isaac was a healthy baby and hers had fetal alcohol syndrome. However, Hope said she felt that her baby's condition was improving; he was getting better. The doctor said Hope was not imagining it; John was getting better. The doctor said that little John was gaining weight much faster and hadn't shown any of the other FAS symptoms.

Later, Hope and Lexie went to the docks and stared at the water. They talked about their children, how amazing they were, and the feeling they gave them. Bo and Abe met up with Hope and Lexie at Bo and Hope's house, and they got the good news about their babies. Bo and Hope danced to the radio. Hope told Bo that he was a wonderful dad, and what they had right then could never be taken away from them by anyone.

8/29 Worried that Bo was feeling guilty, Hope asked if he blamed himself for their son's illness? Bo assured her he didn't. When he asked to talk about her past as Gina, she realized that she might have been with other men during that missing time of her life.

8/30 Bo tried to calm Hope as she worried that he might not be the father of their baby. Bo admitted that he was bothered by the fact that Hope had pushed him away when she had been Gina, and he didn't know who she had been with. Hope began to realize that Bo thought she had been unfaithful to him and that little John could be someone else's child. Hope assured Bo that she could never be with another man, no matter who she thought she was.

Bo started talking about what a horrible person DiMera was, but Hope reminded him that it was Stefano who had saved the life of their child. Bo changed the subject to Stefano and revealed his intention to investigate the connection between Stefano and the family back in Ireland. Bo wished he knew why Stefano hated his family and he mentioned the idea of going to Ireland to find out. Hope told him that she couldn't possibly go with him because she couldn't take little John away from his doctor at that time, and she was also worried about the danger to Bo if he went.

8/31 At Bo and Hope's, Hope begs Bo not to let anything happen to himself or them trying to bring down Stefano. Bo assures her that Stefano will never hurt them, but his mind is made up on this, he has to find out why Stefano wants to destroy them. Hope decides to change the subject and points out to Bo that Shawn D is out with his friends and little John is quiet, so they should take advantage of the situation.

When Bo jokes that he should go watch the game, Hope leads him inside and plays a little baseball of her own with him. They chase one another around the living room for a bit and eventually fall onto the couch. Hope thinks they should be careful because Shawn D might walk in, and then she starts talking about how wonderful he is with Little John. She tells Bo how he (Bo) is an excellent role model for him. Bo says yeah, except . . .

Hope tells Bo that he is the father of their child, she would never give herself to another man, especially Stefano. Bo knows that, and says he still must find out why Stefano has a vendetta against the Brady's, and he will only be gone for a few days. Shawn ends up showing up and apologizes to his parents for interrupting. He says he is just going to change and go out to a movie with Phillip, Chloe, and Belle. Hope thinks this is a double date, but Shawn insists he is not going out with Belle, she is a pain and this is a group thing.

Shawn goes upstairs, and Bo and Hope realize that Shawn and Belle are a lot like they were at that age. They they reminisce about how they always used to drive one another crazy when they were younger. After Shawn leaves, Hope excuses herself to check on the little one, but then says she wants to pick up right where they left off. After Hope leaves, Bo feels torn up about lying to Hope about the baby, but he fears that the truth could destroy them.

9/1 Hope surprised Bo by unbuttoning his shirt and announcing that she wanted to get pregnant again. The two then made love.

9/4 Bo and Hope go to see Caroline and Shawn at Dot.Com. Shawn tells Hope that she gets more beautiful every time he sees her. Hope thanks him, and Shawn realizes something is going on here. Bo admits there is, there is something he needs to talk to them about, so they should sit down. Bo tells his mom and pop that when they were looking for Hope a few months ago they learned that the DiMera's owned a big factory outside of Dublin, and he asks if Grandma and Grandpa ever worked in a factory? Shawn says they did.

Bo asks his dad why he never told him this before? Shawn says it was a long time ago, he was just a lad and so was Stefano, and he doubts Stefano had anything to do with that factory. Bo isn't so sure, and he thinks that there is some connection between their two families which started sixty or seventy years ago. Shawn doesn't think there is a connection, but Bo does and he questions him about Ireland and the factory. Shawn asks Bo why he's asking him all these questions? Bo says that he's thinking about taking a trip there.

Shawn thinks that is a great idea, showing Hope and little John the homeland would be a great idea. Bo says that he's not planning a family vacation, he's going there to investigate DiMera. Shawn says no way, and Caroline tells Bo he absolutely can't! Shawn D shows up and asks what is going on, what does grandma forbid? Bo says that they were just kidding around with his grandparents about eloping.

9/12 Bo is disappointed when Hope reveals that Abe and Lexie are coming over as are his parents. She asks him to hold little John but he does so only until the doorbell rings. Shawn tries to talk Bo out of traveling to Ireland. Bo insists that once his schedule clears, he's on his way. Abe arrives in time to hear Shawn trying to order Bo to stay out of Ireland and keep the past in the past. Rolf hands Stefano a report on the Irish division of DiMera Industries. He admits that the Brady's betrayed him there years ago and he intends to make them pay.

9/14 Bo argues with Hope about Stefano and the change she sees in him. Caroline calls Hope and asks her to convince Bo to cancel his trip.

9/19 Hope and Bo continue to struggle with their child as Bo ends up calling him "that child." He quickly apologizes but it's too late since Hope is already stewing.

DVD #45B 9/20 Hope opens her door to John, who walks over to the bassinet, calling the baby "my boy." She gets upset, but he covers by saying that the baby IS his namesake. They talk of DiMera, and John asks how Hope would feel if they could eliminate him from their lives forever. Hope thinks John wants help killing Stefano, but he says he meant erasing the memories of him.

She mentions Bo going to Ireland, which surprises John, but he immediately says then HE will stay and protect the baby and be his daddy. Hope is astonished at this, but John says he will be around to give her a much-needed break. Julie arrives. John leaves, Julie and Hope talk a bit about the baby, and Hope tells Julie that both Bo and John know something they won't tell her, and she is sure it must be awful. Outside John ponders getting the chip out.

9/22 Julie is still at Hope's house as they make small talk. She talks about the baby and then Hope talks about how she wonders what is wrong with Bo and John. She is sure that everyone is keeping secrets from her. Julie admits that it is true that there may be some things they are not telling her, but it is for the best. Hope is sure it is all because of the baby and she NEEDS the truth.

She thinks that Bo blames her for the baby's condition, but Julie assures her that is not the case. She defends Bo and tries to make Hope see his side. Julie tries to convince Hope that Bo cares for her and the baby, but Hope thinks that he is obsessed with Stefano. Hope knows that there is something terribly wrong with both Bo and John and that from the way he acts, one would think that John is the father.

Julie tries to assure her that John is just a caring friend, but Hope says he is not acting right around her. Julie tries to rationalize his behavior. Hope questions the relationship between John and Princess Gina and wonders if they were lovers. Then it hits her like a ton of bricks. She says last year, there she was looking/acting like Gina. She is sure that something happened between her and John. Hope wants to question Greta about what she remembers from her childhood of the John/Gina relationship, but Julie reminds her that she has a doctor's appointment. Julie tells her that she hopes she will let it go, but knowing Hope, that won't happen. Hope tells her that she is not going to give up until she finds the truth.

9/25 Lexie and Hope are at their doctor appointment and the doctor wants to talk to Hope alone. They convince him to let Lexie stay. The doctor is concerned about Little John's breathing and how it may be another complication. He may want to do tests on him. He tells Hope to watch him carefully. Later, the ladies are strolling through Salem Place. Hope almost panics when she thinks the baby isn't breathing. She sees that he is okay and tells Lexie how worried and concerned she is about his future. Lexie offers her shoulder for her to cry on anytime.

She confides in Lexie that something is going on with both Bo and John and how strange they are acting. She tells her about John always hanging around and how uncomfortable it is making her. Lexie says she would feel the same. They wonder if Marlena knows just how much he is over there. Lexie jokingly says that if John were hanging around her that much, Abe would be coming by to check on her. Hope says that she is going to talk to John about it. Lexie agrees that John is overly concerned about her and the baby.

Bo and Abe are at the cop shop and Bo is researching Stefano on the computer. Bo tells Abe about his upcoming trip and asks Abe not to tell anyone, especially Lexie. Abe gets a bit defensive, but Bo explains that she has blinders on when it comes to Stefano. Abe defends her honor, but agrees with Bo and promises not to tell her. Abe also knows that (big) Shawn doesn't want Bo to go as well and tries to discourage him. He tells him that Hope and the baby needs him. Abe tells him that he needs to stay and help her and bond with the baby as well. Bo gets upset over this and tells Abe to just lay off. He tells Abe to drop the subject.

Marlena wants an explanation why is he so desperate to protect Hope. What is the big secret? She wants the truth (as John has flashbacks of sub sex). She tells him to TELL HER and have faith in their love. She says that she can handle it, everyone can handle it. He turns and blurts out, ”Can everyone handle the fact that I made love to Hope? And how's Bo going to deal with THAT? And what about the fact that my child, my son is being raised in their house?” as Marlena stares at him in total shock.

9/26 Shopping at Salem Place with Alice, Hope is reminded of her past as Gina by a man running an art supply store. He reveals that she bought some paint for a portrait she was going to paint of a couple planning to get married.

Marlena is rocked when John confesses that he is the father of Hope's baby. He admits that he and Hope made love while John and Marlena were on their honeymoon in Hawaii last year. When she doubts it, John claims he has DNA evidence and asks her not to tell anyone. Marlena doesn't know if she can do that. 9/27 Hope has just gotten little John to sleep and Bo comes home. He is very distracted with some sort of website printouts he is going over. Hope lets him know she is upset with his lack of attention to the baby, and that he is keeping something from her. She mentions how Abe talks about Isaac all the time, and Bo has not even put one picture in his wallet. They argue about all of it, and Hope admits being preoccupied with the baby, while Bo insists he would not be a good husband and father if he did not protect his family. With the baby sleeping, they decide to take advantage, they kiss and makeup.

Marlena is still livid that he has lied to her all this time. They argue big time, as he tries to explain, and she will not accept his reasoning. He tells her that he loves her, but that she had an affair (with John) while married to Roman, and decided to "spare" Roman, too, so she should understand. They yell about the honeymoon, the sub sex, Gina, Stef, the brain chip. She asks when he got the DNA sample, and he starts to say he was praying. When she interrupts with "what, that that pig Stefano would be the father of your friend's child. They argue more, and she asks if the "mercenary" is living there, too. John leaves.

10/5 Bo explains to Shawn that he's going out of town for awhile and thanks him for agreeing to keep an eye on Hope and the baby. Shawn mistakes Isaac for little John when he sees Bo holding the infant. The two argue about Bo's plans to go to Ireland.

10/6 Bo is still at the pub, telling his dad that he is going to Ireland to investigate DiMera with or without his help. PopShawn calls him a true Brady, stubborn and bull headed. He tells him where to go and who to see when he gets there. Bo tells him that he is leaving tomorrow and takes off home. After he is gone, PopShawn says that this isn't going to work out the way Bo plans. He picks up the phone and calls an Irish Pub.

The phone is ringing as the barmaid continues to serve drinks (we only see her from behind and she speaks with an Irish accent). Some guy tells her to get it. She mouths off at him but finally answers it. She is rude to PopShawn and hangs up on him. Someone is yelling for his or her drink and she tells him or her to just hold on. Cut to the eyes of the barmaid and it's Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux.

Hope is at home with Little John. She coo coo's with him and then plays "Tonight I Celebrate My Love " as he fusses. She talks to him, telling him that his daddy will come around and love him. She dances with the baby and later Bo arrives. He hugs her, telling her that he loves her. Then he starts telling her about his trip and she tries to stop him from going, at least postpone it. He is determined and will be gone only a few days. She finally gives in, calling him pig headed and stubborn (and adds she wouldn't have it any other way). But she warns him that he had better not miss Little John's christening, or she will come over there and kick his butt all the way back from Dublin.

10/9 Hope helps Bo pack for his trip. She suggests they go upstairs and fool around a little before his trip. He's all for it until she brings up they can make a little brother or sister for Johnny. He feels they've got their hands full with Johnny right now and don't need another baby right now. She disagrees, but he tells her now is not the right time to get into this with him as he's leaving, and she does agree with that. They kiss and she asks if he's going to stop by the pub for a minute. He tells her he is.

She tells him that she's going to take Johnny to see Dr. Maxwell. He offers to go with her, but she's just happy he asked and said she'll be fine alone. She reminds him to be back by Johnny's christening and he promises to. Bo stops by the pub and Pop isn't happy he's going, but knowing he can't stop him, tells him to take care. Pop warns Bo not to be telling people things that could hurt them. Bo tells him he's just going to check out the Brady/DiMera connection and not for Pop to worry about the cousins over there. Pop warns Bo to talk privately with Ian in Ireland. He reminds Bo of his family here in Salem that needs him.

Back to the pub in Ireland, the owner tells the other two that he talked with "himself" just an hour ago. Himself told them to scare Bo Brady back to Salem as quick as they can, but without hurting him. The waitress delivers something to their table and smart mouths them, calling them the three stooges. She tells them she's had enough of men to last her the rest of her life. After she leaves the table, the other two tell Ian to fire her, but he tells them she's had a hard time of it and he feels sorry for her. She goes to the bar and claims she doesn't need men. All husbands do is bring you grief.

Someone touches John's shoulder and he jumps, but it's just Hope carrying Johnny. John smiles. She's happy to run into him as she and his namesake like the way he fusses over the baby. She asks if it's a bad time, but he assures her it's okay. She tells him she ran him over to see Dr. Maxwell, but he was tied up. She didn't have any specific reason to see the doctor, just feels reassured by taking him to see him. Johnny's asleep and she asks John if he wants to hold him. He takes the baby and tells Johnny that he and his mom are going to do everything they can to help him stay good. Hope smiles.

They sit over mocha and she tells him about Bo going off to Dublin to get away from them. She's not sure how Bo feels about the baby. She wants to change the subject, but John wants to be there to help Hope. He offers to help Hope with Johnny anytime she needs it and she asks why. He tells her they are friends. She doesn't buy it and wants the real reason, NOW!

10/10 Continuation of Hope's interrogation of John's motive for being so helpful with Johnny at Java Café. John blows up and asks if she's angry at him because he's doing what Bo should be. He apologizes, but Hope agrees it's true and tears up. Hope tells John how she's trying to be a good mom to Johnny, but it's so hard. John rationalizes it's taking Bo longer to adapt to the situation and Hope admits she hasn't told everyone the whole truth yet. She knows Bo doesn't love Johnny. She tells John that Bo once hinted he wasn't really Johnny's father. She would never have been with anyone else, but has a sick feeling about it and needs John's complete honesty. She asks if there's a remote chance that as PG she might have been with another man? She doesn't remember stealing artwork, so maybe she reconnected with an old love. He asks if she has any idea who? She looks him in the eye asking, “DO YOU?”

10/11 Hope didn't realize John was meeting Marlena and Marlena tells her he didn't know he was. Hope takes her cue to take Johnny to the changing room. John asks Marlena what she was doing and realizes he doesn't mind hurting her, but doesn't want to hurt Hope. He calls Marlena rational about all this and she takes exception to that. John asks Marlena for a little respect to Hope and Hope returns.

Marlena questions her about what she and John had talked about and Hope gets uncomfortable, feeling maybe she should wait and talk to Bo about this. John watches nervously as Hope realizes that maybe they can help her. Hope asks about hypnosis. John tells her it didn't work with him. John warns her it will take too much time and energy and doesn't she have enough on her hands with Johnny right now.

Hope tells Marlena she enjoys her talk show and knows she's busy, but surprised she hasn't come over to spend some time with her and the baby. Marlena agrees and will do so. John keeps rushing Hope to leave and she finally asks John and Marlena if everything's okay? He tells her it is and Marlena doesn't even smile.

Later, Hope is home with Shawn and Johnny. Shawn holds his brother and Hope can tell how much he loves him. She tells him everything's okay and she took the baby for a walk to Salem Place. Johnny starts breathing funny, then starts crying. They stick a pacifier in his mouth and Johnny starts sucking it. Hope goes to get a bottle for the baby and Shawn realizes Johnny's turning blue and calls for his mom.

10/13 Hope gets a blue-faced Johnny to start crying which relieves a worried Shawn. They call Lexie who rushes over to examine the baby. When the baby starts turning blue again, they decide to take him to the emergency room.

Bo stops by the pub in Ireland and asks for Ian. When he mentions his name, Jennifer drops a glass, shocked that he is there. Bo talks with Ian who denies knowing anything about the DiMera factory. Ian urges him to forget about the past. He then sets Bo up to be beaten in the alley, unaware that Jennifer has followed him.

10/16 While Dr. Maxwell works on little Johnny, Hope feels guilty and blames herself because of the drinking she did while she was Gina. Lexie offers to assist when Maxwell reveals that he must operate of the baby. Hope asks Shawn to reach out to his grandfather so that he can notify Bo in Ireland.

Ian and Abby follow Bo to a warehouse where he is tied up. Ian catches them there and demands some answers. She asks for her job back at the pub and returns. Later, Jennifer returns to the warehouse and considers how she can help Bo escape.

10/17 John calls Hope and learns that Johnny's going under the knife to have a hole in his heart repaired. Lexie reports to Hope that a specialist has arrived and there is more damage to Johnny's heart than they expected. Before going to bed in Ireland, Abby asks her mother if Jack will ever come back. Jennifer evades the question and slips out to secretly bring a captive Bo some food and water without revealing who she is. She urges him to go back home and lets slip that she knows he's married and has a newborn.

As Marlena and John arrive in the ER, Marlena goes with Belle while John bumps into Hope. She explains what's happening with Johnny and asks if he'd stand in as the father while she has her son baptized.

10/19 Marlena spots John embracing Hope in the hospital corridor. Hope quickly embraces Marlena and wishes that Belle is safe too. Shawn worries when Hope tells him about Belle's accident.

10/20 Hearing bad news about Johnny, Hope holds on to "Lexie's" baby in desperation. Later, Lexie's in the operating room when the baby dies. She finds Hope, Shawn and John in the waiting room and gives them the terrible news that Johnny has died.

10/23 Not knowing the person above is Jennifer, Bo pleads for her help to free him from his "pit." When he mentions that his newborn son is suffering from fetal alcohol syndrome, she reacts. Before she can do anything, Walter and Declan return so Jennifer hides. After they taunt him, Jennifer disguises her voice and advises Bo that she can help him.

Hope and Shawn start crying when they hear the news about little John. While Shawn prays, Lexie tells the other doctors she thinks they should try one more time to save the lifeless baby. John chooses to find Hope to tell her the truth about their baby.

10/24 When Jennifer realizes that it's Bo who was attacked in the alley, Jennifer runs to make him an offer. She gets Bo to agree to return to Salem immediately once she frees him. She then lowers a rope to Bo who quickly climbs out of the pit.

Lexie is thrilled when the doctors manage to bring little John back to life. She runs and tells Shawn who goes looking for Hope. John's about to tell Hope the truth about the baby when Shawn interrupts with the exciting news.

10/27 Jennifer asks Ian about Bo but he won't talk. He does mention "himself" being a hero but doesn’t respond when Jennifer asks what he did? Bo overhears Declan and Walter talking about a secret entrance to an underground warehouse and how the DiMera family would be angry if Bo caused trouble. Ian orders the two thugs to find Bo but not hurt him but they decide to kill him. When Walter corners Bo at gunpoint, Jennifer knocks Walter out. Bo is shocked to recognize Jennifer. Hope badmouths Bo before Johnny and Isaac are christened. Bo finally reaches Hope by phone but she is cool to him.

10/31 Bo greets Jennifer and thanks her for saving him from Declan. Refusing to talk about their personal lives, both agree that they aren't ready to go back to Salem. Bo explains that he's looking for DiMera secrets. Later, Declan and Ian keep an eye on Jennifer in hopes that she'll lead them to Bo.

At the pub, Shawn D. updates his grandfather about Bo's call from Ireland and how upset Hope became because he wasn't concerned about the baby. Shawn calls Ian in Ireland and slams the phone down when he learns that his men lost Bo.

11/1 Hope overhears John talking with little John, now called JT and asks about the secret he was going to reveal. He changes the subject to Bo and wonders why she didn't tell him about the baby. Marlena arrives just as Hope thanks John for his support and gives him a big hug. Hope thanks both of them for all of their support and she couldn’t have made it through this without them both. Marlena declares they have always been there for each other and always will be. Alice comes up and Hope is excited for her to see JT, short for John Thomas.
