Bo & Hope #48 February 15 - December 19, 2001: 12 hour original edit

DVD #48A 6/15 At Bo and Hope's, the party for JT continues. Pop Shawn suggests that everyone join them in singing Danny Boy, however, it seems that he and Caroline are the only ones that know the words. Then we get a flashback montage of shots of JT, from birth to present, with the camera fading on Bo, Hope, Shawn and JT all hugging as a family.

Cop returns and tells Roman and John that DiMera escaped through the sewer. Roman snarks that at least now Stefano will smell like what he really is!

Hope talks with Shawn and Belle about their summer plans and he informs her that he has invited Belle to the Last Blast (school dance), which thrills Hope.

Lexie arrives as Hope thanks her for all her support through this ordeal. Hope warns her that Glenn wants another DNA test, though Lexie seems completely unconcerned. Hope agrees that no judge i the world would give him custody now after the kidnapping. Shawn and Belle tell Lexie that they saw Stefano at Salem Place and he was dressed like he was going to Hawaii. Bo pounces on this and heads for the phone to call Roman. Lexie thinks to herself, “You won't catch him, you won’t.”

6/18 Bo, Hope and JT share a blissful moment together after his party. Bo leaves for the PD and Marlena arrives. Hope apologizes to her about their confrontation in the Tuscany ladies room, and for not being more sensitive about how hard all of this must be on Marlena. They gone and cement their relationship.

Roman and Bo are questioning Glen and Barb in the interrogation room. Roman loses his cool and yells at them about knowing DiMera and them not getting away with helping him. Bo approaches the issue more calmly and asks Glenn if he isn’t bothered by the fact that Marlo was murdered and her body dumped. They insist they do not know Stefano and had nothing to do with Marlo’s death. Glenn finally admits that Marlo mentioned getting in touch with her uncle with a German name, and she was going to get money from him.

Lexie tells John that she knows he is JT’s biological father, not Bo. John denies this and Lexie doesn’t believe it. She explains that she overheard Hope and Marlena talking about how Bo isn’t the baby’s bio dad and she knows John is. He realizes this is never going to end.

6/20 Roman and Bo have the tape recorder out for Hattie's tale. She now says she was mistaken about the body, that it WAS just a leftover Halloween prop. She knows this to be true, cause it did not stink. And, since she is so good at smells, she would have noticed if it did. Bo and Roman try to change her mind, but she remains adamant. Glen and Barb start to leave, but not before Glen says he still plans for a DNA test, and if comes out positive, he is not leaving Salem.

As Bo and Roman leave, they tell Hattie she can go home anytime, they dismiss the guard outside, and as they walk down the hall, comment on how they have nothing on Stefano now (Rolf is hiding around the corner, listening). Glen and Barb are waiting for them, as Glen wants police protection for the next DNA tests. Roman agrees and tells them to check into the Salem Inn, charge it to the police department, make the arrangements with the lab, and the police will make sure it goes well. Bo then tells Roman the only way they can nail Stefano is for him to go to Ireland and get the goods on him. He says he has to protect his sons and family.

Lexie is continuing to pressure John about being the father of Hope's baby. John is astounded that Hope told Lexie that Bo was not the baby's father. He is having a hard time, tho, and asks her "Just what does me being the father of Hope's baby have anything to do with you and your son?" Lexie babbles on about caring about them all, etc. etc. John says that now one more knows the truth and the more that know, all will having a way of coming out. He leaves murmuring to himself that something is just not right.

Switch to a brief scene at a lab, a computer screen shows a DNA match, one technician tells another they got a match. They talk of the blond who brought the sample in and pick up the file. It says Glen Reiber paternity test.

6/25 John spots Hope at Salem Place. He grabs her by the arm and pulls her aside to talk. They talk about their secret and she informs him that she will never tell. He, Marlena and her are the only ones who know and she will keep it that way. He tells her to add another to the list...Lexie. Hope remembers her overhearing her and Marlena that day. John is upset, but Hope assures him that Lexie won't spill the beans.

John then tells her that isn't ALL Lexie knows. She also knows that he (John) is the father and that Stefano knows as well. Hope is shocked and begins to panic. She can't understand why Stefano hadn't told Bo, since he delights in ruining the Brady’s. Hope says that he could use this info anytime he wants. She thinks it is time for Bo to know the truth as well...and better coming from her.

John says no and insists that Bo IS JT's father, in every sense of the word. He tells her that she and Bo ARE his parents and it should stay that way. He babbles on about them realizing that he was conceived out of love. Hope tells him that one day JT may question her about why did she have him and she doesn't know what to tell him. John tells her that she should tell him that he was conceived out of love. She says she can't do that, because she doesn't remember and he does, and that isn't fair. She tells John that she does want to remember...she wants to remember everything.

6/26 Hope asks John to tell her about his relationship with Gina. He finally confides about their relationship and his time on the submarine with her. He confirms that he was a willing participant in making her pregnant but then states that he feels like he's betraying Marlena talking about this again. He urges her not to press him for details for fear of what it might do to her family. Marlena's upset to spot John with Hope again and he tries to cover being caught holding Hope's arm.

6/28 Shawn and Hope are at the Brady Pub, and Shawn's grandparents want to know all about the big dance that night. Caroline suggests that, soon, Shawn may be married and have a son of his own, but Shawn doesn't want to think about that kind of commitment yet. Caroline and Shawn Sr., take J.T. to show him off, and Hope asks if Shawn is nervous about his date tonight? He insists that he isn't, but Hope reminds him that it's his first date with Belle, which makes it a big deal. Shawn admits that he almost wishes he were taking someone else to the dance- someone from out of town, for example. He explains that he and Belle are so close that he is afraid of what this will do to their relationship.

Hope understands what he is saying, but she doesn't think that Belle is the kind of girl who would become needy and clingy. Shawn explains that he is just starting to feel trapped because he's not ready for a huge commitment to one person, but Hope is curious about Shawn's sudden concern with this. He explains that it has to do with the effect that Chloe has had on Philip- his grades have gone done, he doesn't play sports as well. Hope tells him to live in the moment, which seems to make Shawn feel a bit better. Hope also takes the opportunity to tell Shawn how proud she is of him. Hope then remembers that Lexie and Abe were supposed to get the DNA results that day, and wonder's how they are.

John meets Bo at the police department, and Bo demands to know what it is that John is keeping from Bo. They head to Abe's office for privacy, and Bo questions John on his interference during the attempted capture of Stefano a few days ago. John insists that he didn't know that they were planning to arrest him, but Roman, who has been listening outside the office, disagrees. He thinks that John may have tipped Stefano and Lexie off on the arrest that was about to occur, but John insists he was only trying to get DiMera to tell him about J.T.'s kidnapping.

Bo isn't convinced and demands to know why DiMera didn't kill John when they were in the tunnel together. John says he thinks that DiMera wanted to go on the run without a murder accusation looming overhead, but Roman and Bo aren't convinced, and remind John that he used to work for DiMera. John tells Bo to focus on his own life and stay out of John's, and then storms out, leaving Bo and Roman puzzled. Outside, John gets a call from Stefano, who seems to be planning to re-activate the chip in Hope's brain.

Abe meets Glenn and Barb at the lab for the results of the new DNA test taken from Isaac. The examiner finishes his lab analysis, and informs a disappointed Glen that the test is negative. Barb is more than willing to accept the information, but Glen is still suspicious, and vows to find out what happened to Marlo.

7/2 Shawn comes downstairs in a nice purple shirt (even looks like he got a haircut) and Hope helps him with his tie. She looks nice in a rose colored halter dress with a large collar. He comments on her new dress and she tells him that she is a chaperone for the dance. He is shocked, as he didn't know this. She jokingly tells him that she will be looking over his shoulder and this makes him even more nervous about her going.

Shawn and Hope arrive as Philip calls for the girls and they head down. Belle is first. Chloe gets the "best dressed" award in a long flowing light blue strapless gown. Shawn and Philip are both speechless. Hope has to remind them to give them their flowers. John returns and is surprised to find Hope there. He explains about Marlena and she explains that Bo is working. Everyone heads out the door as Hope comments on how sweet they look. Hope tells John that since Marlena isn't going, that will give them a chance to talk, it's fate. He offers his arm and says "shall we" as they head out as well. John looks back inside as he shuts the door, with an unsure look on his face and the credits roll.

7/3 John and Hope drive in his SUV to the dance. He calls Marlena to see how she's feeling and tells Hope that Marlena is still sick. Hope asks again about Princess Gina and he reminds her, once she knows, she can't go back. Hope wants John to tell her everything about her being Gina. He tries to convince her she's better off not knowing, but she blackmails him and says she'll let him spend more time with JT if he will tell her what happened. Despite his reservations, John agrees.

7/9 The Last Blast is in full swing as John and Hope watch from the sidelines. She starts on him about her wanting to remember what happened. Hope reminds John that he promised to tell her the truth, but he refuses to tell her anything. Roman walks up and asks them what is going on. Hope lies and tells him they were disagreeing about the music at the dance. John is extremely rude to Roman as he takes Hope and they leave to talk privately. On their way out, they run into Belle and Shawn (who are both anxious for them to leave).

Hope and John are walking the hallways of the school as John asks her if she is really ready to learn the truth about her life as a criminal? Hope asks John if Gina planned on having a child and John informs her that he was the love of Gina's life. He warns her that this is NOT a game and that Gina is still there, in her head, and that Stefano could bring her back at any time and that he has already done it twice before.

This startles Hope who asks if he thinks that Stefano would try to punish her, since he was driven from Salem, away from his daughter and grandson. He tells her that Stefano called him and insinuated that he would get revenge against the Bradys. He tells her that he has a way to fix things if Stefano ever plans on using her again. He spots Roman watching them and changes the subject, then the two of them return to the dance.

7/10 At the dance, Hope continues her attempt to get information about her life as Gina out of John. She reminds him that he promised her he'd tell her what she wanted to know, but John is angry that she would use his love for his son to get information out of him. Roman interrupts and asks them what's going on, but Hope covers, saying that they were just discussing the music. They quickly excuse themselves, but Roman is obviously not convinced.

Later, in the empty hallways of the high school, Hope once again tells John she is ready to hear about Gina's past. John takes it a bit further this time, and asks if she is ready to remember living a life of crime and being in love with him the whole time. Hope is shocked, she doesn't think that they were together for the whole year but John tells her that when they WERE together, their love was real and intense. Hope wonders if Gina planned to have a baby, and John admits that he isn't sure but he IS sure that he was the love of Gina's life.

He reminds Hope that Gina is still alive, locked somewhere inside of Hope's mind, and that Stefano could unlock those memories whenever he feels like it. Hope wonders why he would do that again, when he's already done it twice, but then realizes that he would do it because they tore him away from his family. John tells Hope that he got a call from Stefano, and that he said he was going to get back at the Brady's. John says he thinks he has a way to prevent Stefano from turning her into Gina again, and that when Stefano decides to make a move, John could be ready for him.

7/111 John yells for them to turn off the slide, but alas with all the chaperones there amongst the faculty, the slide stays on the screen as the kids all start chanting ghoul girl, ghoul girl.

Inside the gym, Hope grabs a flyer advertising the opera girl website from a couple guys, telling them they should be ashamed of themselves. They walk off, knowing there are more around. Shawn and Chloe tell Hope kids are different nowadays and money and designer labels are important and how Philip's embarrassed with Kate working at the Hudson Street Diner.

As a guy walks around handing out the fliers, Brady stops him and Hope starts grabbing them from their hands. Mr. Woods finally gets up on stage. He gives the class a well deserved speech, citing other schools where violence had happened, and how things like this lead up to it. He proclaims the Last Blast as over and tells everyone to go home. Hope talks with Belle and Shawn, who are feeling guilty for not having done more to stop this type of stuff before.

Hope tells Shawn and Belle they're lucky to have such a good teacher. Shawn and Belle finish each other's sentences as they tell Hope how things are different nowadays. They tell her how the internet is available for everyone for both good and bad information. Hope feels parents should control what their children access. Belle and Shawn decide to not only learn about ecology on their summer trip, but to get people to get along better as well. Hope said she'll meet them outside and they both know who did it.

7/17 Jen stops by Hope's place, and Hope and Shawn fill her in on the events that took place at the dance. Hope is sure that the fallout from the scandal is far from over. Shawn admits that he wouldn't be surprised if Chloe transferred to another school next year, and Jen worries about how Abby may be hurt one day like Chloe was. She then gets to the real reason she stopped by, she wants to talk to Hope about Alice's ruby. Hope is shocked to learn that the ruby is a fake, and Shawn is immediately intrigued and wants to track down the real ruby for his great-grandmother.

Hope decides to talk to Bo about the ruby later, and Hope asks Jen to tell her how living with Jack is working out. Jen admits that he's acting like the perfect gentleman now, which shocks Hope. Jen clarifies, saying she just didn't expect him to act the way he has been acting. Hope thinks that it's harder to remember the bad stuff when she is living with him and constantly being reminded of the bad stuff; she thinks Jen is starting to remember why she fell in love with him in the first place. Jen admits that that can't be the case, because she can't stop thinking about Colin. Hope tells her that Colin was just a fantasy, and that she should give Jack another chance.

7/19 Jen and Hope shop in Salem Place, and pass by the jeweler's window. As they check out a huge diamond ring, Hope suggests that Jen may be wearing one soon, but Jen insists that she plans to remain single for a while. Hope asks Jen if it would bother her if Jack became interested in Greta. She insists that it wouldn't, and that she is satisfied with single life at the moment.

7/24 Jen and Hope discuss Jack and Greta's growing friendship, which Hope suspects Jen of being jealous of. Jen admits that she's a little jealous of Greta as a person, but not because of the time she is spending with Jack. She says that she is glad that Greta is spending time with Jack, because it means he has less time to spend annoying Jen. She admits that she is amazed that a princess could find something to like in a person like Jack, though.

Hope changes the subject, asking if Jen has heard from Colin lately, but Jen avoids the question, saying that she doesn't think she can talk about him. She does, however, admit that thinking about Colin makes her realize what a fool she was to try to get involved with him, and says that she hopes she never has to see him again. Hope reassures her that she is not going to spend her whole life alone, but Jen isn't so sure.

7/25 At the Brady's, Shawn is getting ready for the trip and Hope is helping him. Bo, yes Bo, notices that Hope seems a bit distracted, and wonders what is going on. She dodges his questions for most of the show, and eventually tells him that she feels she is healed enough to learn about her time as Princess Gina. Bo asks if she's ready to find out that JT's biological father is? Hope says yes. Bo tells her whatever she finds; it will change nothing between them.

7/27 John and Marlena go out to dinner at the newly remodeled Tuscany. John tells her Hope wants to know about her life as Princess Gina, and how JT was conceived. Marlena is afraid that if Hope knows everything, the memories and feelings hidden deep inside will be awakened and she will fall in love with John all over again. She asks him not to tell her all the intimate details.

Greta and Hope meet up at the Blue Note. Nicole is also there also at the bar having a drink and spots them. Hope and Greta spot Lexie and Brandon in the back room and both think that it odd that they are there together.

Hope and Greta see this and think that perhaps there really IS something going on between them. Hope tells Greta that she wants to know about her past as Gina. Greta talks about her memories of her mother as a child and Hope wants to hear more. As Greta recalls memories, Hope gets a bit misty, telling Greta that she doesn't remember her mother. Greta talks about how she misses her mother and Hope questions her about her father. Greta tells her about Gina's deathbed confession as to who her father is.

Lexie stops by to say hello to Hope. When Hope mentions her being with Brandon, Lexie gets upset with Hope for what she was thinking, to which Hope immediately apologizes. When Lexie leaves Hope and Greta talk about all the stress she has been under over the baby ordeal. Hope turns the conversation back toward Greta and asks her what Gina told her about her father.

7/31 Hope and Greta arrive at Tuscany, where they have decided to go in order to get away from the Blue Note and Nicole. Greta tells Hope that it was easier to deal with Nicole since Hope was with her, and Hope realizes that Greta was comforted because Hope reminds Greta of Gina. Greta wonders why Hope suddenly wants to discuss her past as Gina, but Hope explains that it's not exactly a sudden thing, she’s just ready to deal with it now, and she's curious about her life as Gina, and more specifically, her life with Father John.

Greta tells Hope about Gina's rituals, explaining that Gina would spend hours getting dressed up for Father John when he came to visit. She tells Hope that they would sit and have drinks for hours, and Hope asks if Father John drank champagne with Gina. Greta remembers hearing ice cubes hitting glass in Father John's glass, and also remembers her mother mentioning that Father John only drank scotch that was at least twenty-five years old. Hope admits that that memory seems familiar to her, she isn't able to get a concrete memory of it. She can relate to how Gina must have felt being that close to another person.

Greta admits that she used to believe that Gina and Father John were just friends, but before she can finish, Hope interrupts and says that now that Greta is an adult, she can understand that Gina and Father John were obviously lovers. Greta seems a bit uncomfortable at the thought of this, but Hope doesn't notice and decides to ask Greta who her father is. Greta notices John and Marlena, and Hope is certain that Father John is Greta's father.

Greta tells Hope she wishes that someone like John WERE her father, but before she can elaborate, Jen walks into Tuscany to pick up some food that she has ordered. Hope invites her to stay and talk with them for a while, and Jen agrees, although she is obviously a bit nervous about spending time with Greta. Marlena walks by, and Hope excuses herself from the table to follow Marlena.

Outside, Marlena confronts Hope, suggesting that Hope wants John to tell her about her past as Gina so that she can relive the experience of sleeping with John. Hope insists that she is only trying to learn as much about her past as possible, but Marlena isn't convinced. She tells Hope that she can dig as deep as she wants to, but reminds her that her marriage with John is filled with trust- they don't keep secrets from each other, and John will tell her everything that he and Hope talk about. Marlena then leaves before Hope can respond.

Back inside, Greta notices that Hope looks a bit upset, and asks her if she and Marlena had an argument.

8/1 Hope worries to Lexie that Lexie and Brandon are getting too close. Lexie insists that they are just friends and then warns Hope about trying to find out more about her life as Gina. Hope advises John about her argument with Marlena earlier and he admits his wife didn't mention it to him.

8/2 Hope follows Lexie to the DiMera mansion. She's obviously uneasy about being in the mansion, and tells Lexie that if DiMera were to return to Salem, it would mean trouble for everyone. They agree to disagree, but it's obvious that Lexie misses her father. Lexie gets angry when Hope asks her why DiMera isn't back in Salem yet, but says she is only angry because of the way the Salem P.D. treated Stefano.

Hope changes the subject, mentioning the DNA test that Glen and Barb had done. She explains that even though Marlo drank all the time, Isaac is healthy and J.T. has F.A.S. She says that this is why she wants to learn as much as she can about her life as Gina. To her knowledge, she didn't drink much when she was Gina, and that it is almost as if their babies were switched at birth.

Lexie gets very upset when Hope suggests this, and Hope apologizes, saying that she was just pointing out that the situation was strange. Lexie feigns a migraine to get Hope to leave. Rolf overhears all of this from the foyer, and when the coast is clear, he warns Lexie that she can't panic like that at every mention of a baby switch. He tells her that she has to trust that Stefano has everything covered, and then tells her he was ready for such a situation. He explains that if Hope's Gina personality were to resurface, she would be distracted by her love for John and wouldn't have as much time to dig for the truth regarding the baby switch.

Lexie is appalled at first, but Rolf continues to explain the situation, telling her that Gina wouldn't care about Hope's son OR Lexie’s son, she’d just care about getting into bed with John. He adds that Stefano wants this, as well- as a distraction for both Hope and John, to keep them from coming after Isaac. Rolf says that the only way to protect her son and her secret is to get rid of Hope.

Bo and Abe are at the Pub, where Bo asks Abe about life at the DiMera mansion. Abe says that he's only agreeing to stay there until DiMera returns to Salem, and Bo reminds Abe that they still have to investigate the Ireland business. The elder Shawn walks by at that time and once again discourages Bo from going back to Ireland. He then tells Bo that Colin is in town, but Bo is suspicious and wonders why Colin would be interested in Salem.

Elizabeth storms into the Pub, and Shawn quickly points her out to Bo and Abe before she demands a drink. She shows horrible manners and is very rude to Shawn, which angers Bo. He comes over to the bar and tells her that she is showing a huge lack of class, and she's about to yell at him as well until she turns around and sees what he looks like. She gets very flirtatious with Bo, who is unimpressed. When Shawn asks her where Colin is, she says she doesn't know and doesn't care, and mentions that he has too many secrets to even begin to mention them all.

Colin remembers his time with Jen, and wonders if she ever made it back to Salem. He convinces himself that she has probably worked out her differences with Jack and is in Ireland with him right now, and adds that Jack would have to be a fool to let someone like Jen go. He storms into the Pub and literally carries Elizabeth out without even saying hello to Shawn, which surprises Bo. Hope arrives at the Pub and joins Bo and Abe, telling Abe that she is worried about Lexie. She doesn't explain why, saying only that Abe should go home and check on her. He does so, and after he leaves, Hope explains to Bo what happened at the mansion. She tells Bo that she is determined to find out what has been wrong with Lexie lately.

8/3 Lexie is shocked by Rolf's suggestion to switch Hope back to Gina. He tries to talk her into going along with the idea and that it is all part of her father's plan. She says that she can't let him hurt Hope but Rolf warns her that in the end, she could lose Isaac.

Bo and Hope are at the pub talking about Lexie's strange behavior. Shawn Sr. tells them that nothing good can come of them living at the DiMera mansion and that Abe should get them out of there. Then Bo suggest they go on a family vacation, when Shawn D comes home, just the four of them. Hope loves the idea, and Bo suggests Dublin, Ireland. Shawn Sr. overhears and yells at Bo, warning him not to go back to Ireland. Bo and his dad get into an argument, and Bo promises they won't go, if Shawn explains what happened, which he of course refuses to do. Shawn tells him to leave it alone and concentrate on being a father and husband.

Bo keeps after him but Shawn just shames him for talking to him with such disrespect and storms off. Hope tries to get Bo to go and apologize. Then Bo says he knew Hope would side with Shawn because she is keeping secrets as well. He brings up the issue about JT's biological father and then says that he is sick and tired of all the lies from her and his dad and storms out of the pub. Shawn and Hope discuss Bo's behavior and she suggests that maybe Shawn tell him what he wants to know. Shawn refuses, and assures Hope that's one secret he's taking to the grave.

8/8 Rolf tells Lexie it is her decision between her son and her best friend. Of course she chose her son, as he needed her though she complains bitterly about how cruel this plan is. Hope is the most unselfish person she knows, how can she do this to her. Rolf went to call Stefano with the news, as Lexie instructed him to tell Stefano she didn't like his idea.

Hope called John from her car parked in front of his building. She asked to speak to him. He told her Marlena was upstairs, working, and he agreed to go down and talk with her. He told her Marlena had okayed him telling Hope about Gina. They sat in Hope's car and talked.

Hope started talking about the intense sex they'd had, and John grew uncomfortable. He admitted being deeply in love with Gina and that they'd had spine-shattering sex. He told her that Gina was the most exciting person he'd ever known and had a flashback of them dancing and kissing when Hope had been in her Gina mode.

As John remembered, he said Gina had been everything he'd wanted in a woman and a lover. He corrected himself, telling Hope it hadn't been her, it had been Gina. As John looked at Hope, he saw Gina. Hope wondered whether recalling her Gina memories might help their case against Stefano and save her family.

John reached behind Hope's neck, saying he saw something, but it was just a piece of lint. He couldn't talk anymore, and Hope told him they'd talk again soon and drove away. On the curb, John told himself about feeling the chip at the base of Hope's neck. Stefano had taught him well to do the surgery to remove it, but if he failed, it would kill Hope, and Stefano would be rid of one more Brady.

8/10 Hope and Lexie were at Salem Place with the babies. Hope mentioned Glen and Barb, which upset Lexie. Lexie took Isaac and promised no one would ever take him away. As Hope reassured her that she was a good mother, Isaac said, "Mama." Lexie asked Hope to promise she wouldn't let anyone take him, and she did.

Lexie and Hope talked about the babies, and Hope told Lexie that when J.T. was old enough, she planned on telling him how he had been conceived. She wanted to know if Stefano had ever mentioned anything to Lexie about the time Hope had been Gina. Lexie warned her not to go there and wondered if she could perhaps fall back in love with J.T.'s real father if those feelings resurfaced. Lexie wanted no part of it, feeling that Hope would end up getting hurt.

Hope said that Greta and John both knew of her quest and begged Lexie to help her as well. Lexie finally agreed then Hope turned on her and said that she didn't know if she could trust Lexie as Lexie had been lying to her for weeks. Lexie questioned her, and Hope said that John had told her that Lexie knew that John was J.T.'s father. She asked why and how Hope could trust Lexie or believe anything she said. Lexie stared in shock.

8/13 In Salem Place, Hope tells Lexie that she knows she knows John is JT's father, so how can she trust anything she says to her? Lexie asks if it ever occurred to her that John asked her not to say anything? Suddenly, John shows up. Lexie asks John if he told her not to say anything to Hope about her knowing he was JT's father. John says he thinks he recalls that, and Hope apologizes to Lexie.

When John holds JT, Lexie makes the comment that they look like a family. Hope becomes unhappy and grabs JT from John. Hope tells Lexie that they have an agreement; Bo is JT's father. Hope changes the topic of the conversation and tells John that LExie is going to help her find out about her past from her father. John says no way, there is no way they can trust Stefano.

Lexie says her father may be able to help them, and as she talks about his power and connection, John's blood boils. He finally bursts and tells Lexie to stay the hell out of this! Hope becomes angry and scolds John. John apologizes to Lexie and says he shouldn't have raised his voice. LExie says she didn't mean to upset anyone. Lexie says she has to go to Barons, so she takes off.

After Lexie leaves, John tells Hope that Lexie is the last person she should go to for help, she's changed now. Hope says Lexie has not changed, and she would never hurt her. John tells Hope that Stefano will use his daughter to hurt her, so he shouldn't talk to Lexie anymore! Hope says she will talk to Lexie if she wants to, but John warns her she could destroy both of them by doing so. Meanwhile, Lexie realizes her father was right about John, and she thinks it could be time for him to come back to Salem.

8/14 John warns Hope against talking to Lexie about her life as Gina. Bo arrives on the scene in time to hear John raise his voice to Hope, and tells John never to speak to his wife like that again. Hope defends John, but Bo says he is sick of the secrets that John and Hope are hiding from him. He asks them to tell him what they are hiding, but neither of them say a word. Bo starts to walk off, and Hope asks him not to go. She admits that she was asking John for help.

Bo asks John to leave, saying that he wants to talk about this privately with his wife. Hope asks Bo to apologize to John first, but Bo refuses. As John leaves, he reminds Bo and Hope that nothing is more important than the love that they share, and tells them to remember that. After John is gone, Bo once again asks Hope for the truth. She admits that she has been asking friends for answers about her life as Gina. She tells Bo that she wants to be able to give J.T. answers about the time when he was conceived. Bo assures Hope that he is not the least bit angry with her, and asks if there is anything else she would like to tell him. She admits that there is.

8/15 At the DiMera mansion, Rolf asks Lexie how things went with Hope. Lexie says that they had a long talk, and it couldn't have turned out better. Lexie tells Rolf he won't have to do a thing to refresh Hope's memories of her past, she will do it all on her own. Lexie tells Rolf that Hope is her friend, so she doesn't want any harm to come to her. Lexie says she just wants Hope to consume herself with the Gina thing that she doesn't think about the baby switch. However, Lexie says she still needs his and her father's help, she needs to give Hope bits of information to help Hope with her search.

They shouldn't let the past control them they should control it. She looks him in the eye and tells him to tell her everything.

He says just leave it all to him. He promises that he can end her guilt and assure her that she would never lose Isaac. He can bring back the Gina memories without changing Hope back into Gina. He says that it is all up to her, to say the word.

Lexie assures Bo that she would never lie to Hope, and Bo promises Lexie that if Hope gets hurt, he's coming after Lexie and her father. Lexie returns the threat, demanding that Bo stay out of Stefano's and her lives. Bo promises himself to learn the truth and make his family happy.

DVD #48B 8/31 Jennifer visits Hope and J.T. where she discusses her appointment with Marlena, and the possibility that she and Jack could work things out. She realizes that everything wasn't Jack's fault, and might be willing to give their relationship another chance if Jack will stop his constant scheming. Hope shares Lexie's over-reaction to her casual remark about their babies being switched. Maybe Lexie would benefit from some counseling with Marlena.

Bo stops by the Brady Pub, and discusses a baby-switching incident in the paper with his mom. When Caroline asks if a baby switch could take place at University Hospital, Bo states that "maybe it already has." He leaves a bewildered Caroline at the Pub to do a little investigating at the hospital. His conversation with two nurses on staff reveals that J.T. and another infant were placed in the wrong bassinets the night they were born.

Lexie overhears Bo's conversation with the nurses and places a phone call to Rolf. He must meet her at the mansion immediately!

Jennifer denies it but decides to invite Brandon out to a movie in hopes of getting a rise out of Jack.

NOTE Sept 11 - 14, 2001 - NO SHOW AIRED DUE TO 9/11 9/17 Hope argues with Bo again about the idea of a baby switch. 9/18 Lexie agrees to have Hope's party though she doesn’t like it, but he promises her that Hope won’t be hurt. He points out that Hope regaining the Gina memories will distract the Bradys for an indefinite period of time. Having access to Hope while she is at the party at the DiMera mansion will give Rolf the opportunity to tweak the chip. He also urges Lexie to invite Greta, thinking that Greta's presence will only reinforce Hope's Princess Gina memories. To sell Hope on the idea, Lexie asks her to meet at the pub for breakfast. Hope, who argued with Bo about a DNA test, agrees.

9/20 When Lexie tells Bo her plans to throw Hope a party, he says that he hopes it's at her house and not "that stinky DiMera mansion." When Hope cajoles him into it, Bo agrees to the party. Hope asks if he still wants her to take 'that test,' which freaks out Lexie. She professes not to understand why Hope would want to waste her time and money on a DNA test, and Hope says she agrees.

Bo pretends to acquiesce. The talk then turns to Princess Gina, and Lexie assures Hope that she's going to help her retrieve her memories. Lexie denies that, and after Bo leaves, she and Hope reaffirm for the umpteenth time their best friendship. When Isaac begins crying, Hope goes to pick him up, but Lexie again freaks. She makes up a story about being worried that Isaac was wet.

Hope interrupts their fight, and is distraught. She and Bo leave, and she tells him about Jen rejecting Jack's proposal. After witnessing Jennifer's rejection of Jack's marriage proposal, she needs to be reassured by Bo's love. Bo says that he does love her, and he feels that in Jack and Jen's case, some growing up is needed. Hope asks Bo how he can say that; Jack and Jen have split up so many times that perhaps Jen is just tired of being hurt by him.

10/2 Bo and Hope also prepare to enjoy romance. Hope serves up a delectable dinner, while Bo spreads rose petals on their bed and splashes himself with some birthday cologne. As dinner ends, they prepare to continue the festivities in the boudoir. Just then, Jack and Jennifer arrive to offer comfort. It becomes clear to them that Bo and Hope have not heard about Shawn, so they are forced to tell them.

10/3 Hearing about Puerto Rico, a worried Kate accompanies John and Marlena to Bo and Hope's place. Bo asks Abe to call the police in Puerto Rico to find out the truth about Shawn, refusing to believe his son is dead. Hope later guesses to John that this is payback for keeping their secret. She decides it's time to tell Bo the truth about J.T.

10/4 John, Marlena, Kate, Jack, Jennifer gather around as Hope tells Bo she has to confess something. She feels guilty, but before she can continue, Bo interrupts and tells her that he isn't sure the reports of Shawn, Belle and Philip's doom are correct. He further thinks Hope feels guilty about Shawn, but what she really feels guilty about is John being JT's father. She never gets the chance to spill the beans, though, because Marlena yanks her outside and gives her a verbal whipping. You can make yourself as miserable as you want, Marlena says, but leave the rest of us out of it.

When they return inside, Bo receives the phone call from Mimi and finds out that Shawn and Belle are okay. Kate weeps over Philip, and she joins hands with John, Marlena, Bo and Hope to pray for his recovery. John offers to fly everyone down to Puerto Rico to see the kids first-hand.

10/5 Waiting to hear the flight to Puerto Rico is ready, Bo does his best to comfort a worried Kate. When Hope again considers telling Bo the truth about J.T., Marlena takes her aside and lays into her for putting the lives of so many at risk with her confession. Shawn and Belle call to report they are okay and convince their parents to stay in Salem.

With her in the limo are Rolf and Bart, and the three discuss how they'll bring Hope's Princess Gina memories to the fore. Lexie expresses concern over Hope's getting hurt, not wanting to harm her "best friend." Rolf assures her that Hope will suffer no ill, and when Lexie leaves the car, he predicts to Bart that both the Carver and Brady marriages will end in ruin.

Back in the Brady home, Bo continues to needle Lexie over living in the DiMera mansion. This also provokes Hope, who begs him to stop. Feeling guilty over Hope and paranoid about Isaac, Lexie wigs out.

10/18 Brady Pub - The adult gang waits at the Pub for John and Brady to bring back Belle, Shawn and Mimi. Chloe, being on the plane with the rest of the class, is to come later. When they get to the pub, they are overjoyed to be reunited with their loved ones. Belle and Shawn don't stick around too long, however, as he tells her that he has a special surprise for her. Hope and Marlena then discuss Belle and Shawn's relationship, and how it may impact JT. Having been invited by Shawn, Colin shows up with his cold English fiancée. After the kids arrive, John has a cake brought out and everyone sings happy birthday to Marlena.

10/30 Bo and Shawn are washing his truck when Hope walks in carrying J.T. in one arm and a pumpkin in the other. They all joke about having another baby as Shawn takes J.T. Bo and Hope are kissing Shawn whispers to J.T. that they may get their wish. Jen calls and wants to come over and talk to Hope and get some of her good advice. Bo and Shawn are talking about Belle and Shawn says how much he cares for her but she has their whole future planned out for them and he is not ready for that.

Bo asks Shawn if Belle is pregnant and Shawn wants to know what makes him think they are having sex. Shawn lets Bo know about Marlena catching them coming out of the closet and all him and Belle have done is kiss. Bo laughs but says they need to be careful. Shawn tells his dad that Belle has been pressuring him to have sex and Bo is startled saying that doesn't sound like Belle. Bo tells Shawn to do what is best for him and they decide that waiting to have sex is probably the best thing for now. Shawn asks Bo how he knew Hope was the one and Bo said she's all he thought about and he knew they were destined to be together. Shawn says maybe that's how it will be for him and Belle but for now they have a lot of living to do.

Jennifer is telling Hope about her conversation with Jack and that she is confused about going out with Brandon. Hope tells her that she should go on the date and see what else life has to offer. Jen is afraid that Jack can't handle it and Hope says that Jack is a big boy and he can handle it. Hope wants Jen to call Brandon and find out where he is taking her so she will know what to wear. Jen is afraid she won't even know how to act on a date, but Hope reassures her that everything will be fine.

11/1 Bo is concerned when he finds Hope perusing information about Gina she downloaded from the Internet. He warns her to beware of Lexie at the upcoming party. When Bo mentions Belle pressuring Shawn for sex, the two agree to work on expanding their family.

11/5 Bo and Hope prepare for a romantic evening alone when Shawn comes home from the basketball game and wants to join them in watching a movie. Bo and Hope attempt to get Shawn to go do his homework, but Shawn assures them he is all caught up, and offers to bring down the now awake J.T. Hope asks Shawn about Belle, and Shawn admits he likes her a lot, but reveals another guy was hitting on her at the game.

Shawn says he would still like to see Belle, even if she sees other guys too, then changes the subject to another girl he knows who is in some trouble. He does not mention Jan's name and says he cannot reveal what happened to her, but he admits his concern for her and that he feels partly responsible for what happened to her. Assuring his parents that Jan is just a friend, he again changes the subject back to Belle, saying he is looking forward to their second date. Bo and Hope share their concerns about this other girl with each other, then the family all settles down to watch the movie together.

11/6 At the Brady Pub It's couples night, as Bo and Hope arrive. Colin and Bo get into it again over the Irish history of the Bradys, with Shawn eventually running interference. Hope realizes that Colin's last name is not Brady but Murphy, and she puts two and two together and comes up with Jennifer's love interest. She runs over to Jen, points out Colin, and Jennifer grabs Brandon to beat yet another hasty retreat. Hope grills Colin, asking him about his relationship with Jennifer. He passes it off as an acquaintance, which raises Hope's hackles.

Barb arrives to see Lexie and wants cash, as she and Glenn are about to go belly up. Lexie tries to derail Barb, but Barb announces that she has proof that JT is Glenn's son, which means that Isaac belongs to Hope. Barb demands money, but Lexie tells her she has to come back the following day. Barb smells victory; Lexie's nose tells her that trouble is coming.

11/7 Lexie sends out an SOS to Rolf for help with the Barb situation. Rolf first instructs her to find out just what Barb knows. Maybe she's bluffing, maybe she doesn't really have proof. Lexie is nervous and convinced that Barb is telling the truth. She gets further upset when Rolf implies that the way to solve the Barb problem is to get rid of Barb. Permanently.

Hope is worried that her fingerprints might be on some of the artwork she stole during the Princess Gina days. John assures her that it's not possible, and then gets lost in a romantic Princess Gina reverie. Hope notices that he's daydreaming, but he won't tell her about the hot action between the two of them that he was remembering. The two then discuss the budding romance between their kids, with John expressing his concern that Belle is getting too serious too fast. He wants her to slow down some and asks Hope to encourage Shawn to feel the same way.

11/8 Barb shows up demanding $1 million. Lexie panics, especially when she learns that Barb has proof that JT is not Hope's son and that Isaac is. Lexie buys temporary time with $5,000 that Rolf gave her. When Lexie asks Rolf what his plans are, he again says that Barb needs to be killed off.

11/9 At Salem Place Hope and Jennifer discuss Colin, with Hope reluctantly telling Jennifer that Colin referred to their relationship as a "casual friendship." Jennifer is relieved that he didn't mention her following him to Ireland, but nonetheless is curious as to why he's distancing himself. Alice interrupts the two and they talk about the ruby necklace. When she leaves, Hope bucks up the courage to tell Jen that Colin is engaged to a beautiful woman. Jen says that's good news, because maybe now she'll get over him.

11/12 Bo took J.T. into the pub and told Caroline that the doctor had said J.T. was just fine. Elizabeth burst in and demanded to know where Colin was. Elizabeth said it was just like when they had been in Ireland and Colin would disappear for his secret liaisons. Bo perked up, asked Caroline to watch J.T., and offered to keep Elizabeth company while she waited for Colin. Elizabeth was suspicious, as Bo had never done anything but insult her, but she agreed to wait with Bo. Elizabeth admitted that in Ireland, she'd thought that Colin might have been sneaking away to meet with another woman, but she realized that was not true.

Bo asked where Colin had really been going, but Elizabeth didn't know. She suggested Colin might have been going to clandestine meetings and working for the underground then asked why Bo was so interested. Bo spun a story about an English ancestor who he had always been interested in, and Elizabeth accepted that but could offer no new information about Colin. Caroline took J.T. back, and Elizabeth left to look for Colin, as Caroline praised Bo for getting along better with his future cousin.

11/15 At the Brady Pub, Bo tried to pump Elizabeth for information. She recognized the DiMera name and said that the situation disturbed her, but Bo didn't get much further. She realized that he was only chatting her up to get the goods on Colin. That did not make her happy, so she left. Bo sat with John and asked for his help with Hope and the Princess Gina memories. John at first was reluctant but agreed that he'd do anything to save his family.

11/19 Hope receives a call from John telling her that it's very important that he see her tonight, as there's something he needs to tell her. Hope reluctantly agrees as she and Bo prepare for an evening at home. Bo tells Hope that he had an interesting conversation with Elizabeth, and that she wants to get closer to the Brady's before she marries into the family. Bo asks Hope to befriend Elizabeth, but Hope resists, as she finds Elizabeth to be mean and obnoxious. Bo then suggests that they have both Colin and Elizabeth over for dinner, and Hope sees right through him and asks the real reason why he wants to spend time with people he clearly doesn't like.

Bo tries to change the subject, but finally admits that Elizabeth has told him things about Colin being involved with the underground in Ireland, and that Bo still wants to get to the truth about the feud between the Brady's and the DiMera's. He thinks that if Hope befriends Elizabeth, that she will tell Hope more about it. Hope refuses and they argue, ending with Bo telling Hope he has as much right to search for answers as she does, alluding to her quest for answers about her past as Gina. Hope storms out and drives away.

Barb is at Lexie's, demanding the million dollars or else she will tell Bo and Hope about the baby switch. Lexie informs Barb that she doesn't have the money, and has no intention of getting it. Barb then asks which Lexie would rather lose, the money or her son. Barb also tells Lexie that she and Glen have relocated to Salem. Barb knows that Lexie's father is very rich and will never miss the money. Lexie excuses herself to talk to Rolf, who gives her another $5,000 to make Barb go away. If she doesn't, Rolf says, they will have to resort to "more drastic measures" to get rid of her.

11/20 Rolf attacks Barb, slashing her face with a knife and she falls to the ground.

John and Hope meet on the docks. He comments that she looks spooked. He tells her that there is something she needs to know, something he should have told her long ago.

DVD #48C Lexie is torn over having Hope remember her Gina feelings. She worries that Hope will wind up in bed with John and it will ruin before of their marriages. She questions how she can do that? Rolf calls the maid to bring in Isaac and points out HE is the reason for her to do it and if she does not, she will lose this baby to Hope. It is her choice. He tells her there is no choice and to send out the party invitations. Glenn calls from the hospital and accuses Lexie of attacking Barb and almost killing her! Lexie swears she didn’t do it. Glenn orders her to get down to the hospital ASAP as Barb wants to talk to her and if she doesn’t she will have one big problem. After she hangs up, she looks accusingly at Rolf. He declares that he didn’t do anything.

John asks Hope if he can get inside her brain literally. He wants to remove the chip, but she's afraid that it will destroy all of her memories and she'll lose her sense of self. John promises that it won't happen, and begs her to look at how Stefano is controlling Lexie. He says Lexie is not to be trusted, which piques some suspicions on Hope's part. After much ruminating, Hope agrees to let John retrieve the chip.

11/21 Hope agrees to let John operate on her and remove the chip in her brain, although she is concerned about it. She is worried that Princess Gina will take over, but she's also worried that she'll lose any chance at finding out what happened during the Princess Gina years. John tries to convince her that she doesn't need to know about that time, but she realizes that he's concerned that Princess Gina will take over her personality. John believes that if that happens, he and 'Princess Gina' will wind up together because their previous relationship was so intense. The two decide that their families deserve some peace, so the chip will be removed.

Hope returns home and apologizes to Bo for their earlier argument. She admits that she's worried about the whole Princess Gina stuff, but a new worry takes over: Shawn is leaving on a date with Belle. She wonders if she and Bo have prepared him for dating and what that means.

11/22 Lexie arrives at the hospital and proclaims her innocence regarding the mugging, specifying that the mugger would have known to take the money from Barb's pocket. Lexie's relief is short lived when Barb informs her that the price of her silence has just doubled, two million or she tells all! Lexie's morals are further put to the test after a conversation with Elizabeth about Bo. Bo's determination to bring down Stefano convinces Lexie to go ahead with the plan to turn Hope into Gina. Bo won't have the time to think about going after Stefano, he'll be too busy keeping his wife away from John!

11/28 Lexie has returned home, and tells Rolf that the party is back on. She states that nothing is more important to her than keeping her son, not even her friendship with Hope. He asks if she isn’t still worried about returning Gina’s memories as it could destroy Hope’s personality. She agrees and tells him to proceed. He asks what changed her mind? She tells him that she saw Barb at the hospital and she demanded another million!

He says that $10k is the maximum but that is it for them! She is just relieved at least he is talking about paying them off and not killing them. He questions if Barb’s greed is the reason she is going ahead with the plans for Hope? She fills him on overhearing Collin and Elizabeth discussing Bo’s investigation into Stefano and his determination to bring him down.

Before heading out, Hope shares some concerns with Bo about Shawn dating Belle. They arrive at Tuscany just in time for Bo to overhear Marlena mention JT to John, as she was telling him that discussing JT's parentage is a non-issue. She covers by saying that she's noticed how healthy he's looking.

Bo and Marlena go for a dance, during which Hope asks John that if it were Marlena, would he operate on his wife to remove the chip? John assures her that yes, he would, because he would want to end any chance of Stefano taking over. The two couples are joined by Mickey and Maggie and enjoy a Mexican feast, during which Marlena notes what a good person Lexie is. The three couples end the night with a Mexican dance.

11/29 Our three wonderful couples are having a fantastic time dancing to the Mexican Hat Dance. John is exceptionally corny and hilarious as he dances around Marlena clicking his fingers. When Bo and Hope hear Marlena’s concern about the time and she can’t reach Belle, they assure her that Shawn is very responsible and will get Belle home on time.

Mickey and Maggie join in and rave about how sweet Belle and Shawn are. Mickey tells them that Alice calls S&B the next Bo and Hope, Salem’s newest storybook couple. The proud parents kiss and John jokes that he and Doc aren’t exactly chopped chimichangas and deserve a chapter in that book. Mickey comments that he and Maggie broke the mold (Maggie says they cast the mold) in the couples department.

Hope remembers her and Bo’s weddings as she comes down the aisle in both London and Salem and Bo’s vows to her in the second wedding ceremony. Bo and Mickey both are sentimental about their wives too and Maggie says she and Mickey are like a fine wine the longer they are together, the better they are.

11/30 Hope asks Jennifer if she's bringing Brandon as her date to the party, but Jen says that it's not the right venue to 'out' her relationship with Brandon. She'll go stag instead, although she knows Jack will be there with Greta. Jen wonders if she'll ever find a true love. Hope bemoans how serious Belle and Shawn's relationship is getting. It also occurs to Hope that Lexie probably invited Brandon, which gives Jen the shivers because of the whole Jack thing. But she vows not to let him intimidate her, going so far as to hope Brandon shows up. Hope asks Jen what she thinks of Colin? Jen says that it would be easier to forget about him if he didn't live there, but she's going to try.

Lexie fidgets and paces with nerves over the risk to Hope. She keeps rethinking it but feels backed into a corner with no other options. Rolf assures Lexie that after the party, Hope will have recovered her memories of Princess Gina, which will drive her back into John's arms and get everyone's minds off of Isaac. When Lexie appears to waver, he reminds her that it's to protect her son.

Barb calls demanding more money and threatening to show up at the big bash and tell everyone the truth if she doesn't get it. Lexie tells Rolf to handle it.

12/5 John shows up at the mansion and confronts Lexie about the party, saying that he knows good and well that Lexie is up to something? She suggests that he doesn’t have to attend and can just choose to stay home. Lexie plays dumb, although she does needle John by saying that she only wants what Hope wants, and there is nothing wrong with that, now is there? John says he didn’t believe that she belonged in this house but now he sees it is the perfect place for her.

She runs to Rolf and tells him to proceed with the plan. He reminds her that John has to be there so that Hope looks into his eyes and feels her passion for John return. He says that once she gets the memories back that he will then flip the switch to make them permanent. Rolf reminds her that her friends will have so much turmoil in their marriages that they won’t be bothering her about Isaac. Lexie asks what if Barb shows up? He declares if she does that it will be the last party she ever goes to and Lexie looks at him in shock.

John runs to Hope and Bo and tells them to please not go to the party because he suspects danger. Hope says he's nuts. Bo, angry with John, says he will protect his wife, thank you very much.

12/6 Lexie is dressed up in some kind of gothic mix of Dracula and the Evil Queen from Snow White. She overhears Bart questioning Rolf about a former patient he read about in the records and it didn’t end well for her. Lexie tells Rolf if there is any risk to Hope’s life that she will not go through with it. Rolf pretends to try out the laser thing on Bart. She falls for Rolf's ploy, and after she leaves, Rolf admits he has no idea whether it will work or not, or whether it will harm Hope.

Returning to the salon, Lexie is surprised by the delivery of a beautiful necklace. She thanks Abe, but he says he didn't send it. Rolf talks to her privately and suggests she holds the necklace up to the light, it is a message from her father. She sees the phoenix reflected in the gem. He reminds her she is a true DiMera.

Bo pretends to feel the urge to chop firewood, but later admits that he's stalling. He doesn't want to go to the party. Hope assures him that Lexie is her best friend and would never hurt her, and besides, even if something does happen, Bo will be there to catch her if she falls. They kiss on the couch and get ready to go.

12/7 Let the Party Begin! Sequestered in their evil, techno-womb, Rolf and Bart watch the revelers show up for Lexie's big bash. Rolf assures Bart that the night will be one Salem never forgets, as he plans to turn Hope into Princess Gina. He and Lexie find a way to communicate with each other.

John and Marlena are the first to show up, and his misgivings take off immediately. With the house bugged, Rolf and Bart can listen in on all the conversations. Rolf declares that John looks particularly suspicious tonight and he will not allow John to ruin his plans. Maggie, Mickey, and Alice arrive next, followed by Doug and Julie. Shawn and Caroline come next, and Rolf comments to Bart that Shawn is the person responsible for Stefano hating the Bradys. Rolf overhears John telling Marlena that he wishes he could remember how to take out the chip. Rolf tells Bart that if he makes a mistake, that Hope could die!

Driving to the party with Bo and Hope, Jennifer tells them that she's nervous about the night as far as Jack is concerned. Hope has her own worries, which she tries to conceal from Bo. Bo, Hope, Jennifer, Jack and Greta all converge at the same time, with Jack being his usual obsessive self. Rolf begins turning the dial and Hope is terrified to get flashes of Gina memories. John recognizes what's happening and tries to get her to leave, but she won't.

Lexie spots Barb and Glenn and initially refuses them entrance. That is, until Barb starts wreaking havoc over the whole "Isaac is Hope's baby" thing. She lets them come to the party, but only after frantically contacting Rolf. He pulls out a gun and says he'll settle this once and for all. John sees Lexie talking to someone and asks who it is?

12/10 At the party, Rolf continues to fill Hope's head with small doses of Gina's memories, which are disturbing Hope. Bo sees Hope's distress and rushes over to her, assuming that it is Glen and Barb's presence that is disturbing her.

Lexie gets everyone's attention and announces that she has invited Glen and Barb to the party as a gesture of forgiveness. They did take little J.T., but they also brought him back and that is why Lexie invited them. Barb steps up to thank Lexie, and adds a comment that she knows that Hope would never be able to forgive anyone taking her child again, a comment whose significance is not lost on Lexie at all.

After Jennifer adds a toast to her cousin and best friend, Hope wonders to Bo if Barb's comment was meant as a threat to her. Rolf commends Lexie on her handling of Glen and Barb, then reminds her that they need to concentrate on their main task which is Hope.

John grabs Hope and demands that Bo take her home because Hope is not safe there. Bo tells John to back off, which he finally does. Marlena tries to make excuses for John, but Bo isn't buying it. Rolf hears their exchange and tells Lexie he needs to complete the memory transfer as soon as possible. When Hope is again left alone, Rolf floods her with Gina's memories.

12/11 Hope begins to fear that something is happening, as she starts to have Princess Gina flashbacks. She tries to brush it off, but as Rolf continues to up the ante, she gets increasingly nauseous, dizzy, and freaked out. Bo wonders if she may be pregnant, of all things. She goes to John and tells him that she's frightened. He tells her to leave immediately.

Bo and Marlena interrupt them, and Hope again tries to hang in there. Rolf is pushing buttons, Princess Gina is coming back, and she panics. She asks Bo to get her out of there. They leave, which sends Rolf into a tizzy. He contacts Lexie, who is becoming more unstable by the moment, and tells her to get Hope back in the party. Lexie runs to the door and sees Bo and Hope walking away.

Barb hounds Lexie into getting her cash. No one can figure out why, exactly, Barb is at the party. It clearly makes the guests uncomfortable, which Abe gently points out to Barb and Glen when he suggests that they leave. Lexie finally tells Barb that she doesn't have the money for her, and several times Barb taunts Lexie by nearly revealing what she knows.

12/12 After Lexie pleads with Bo and Hope to come back to the party, Hope realizes that they left JT behind. She becomes agitated, wondering what could have possessed her to forget about her son. Bo tries to comfort her, but her resolve has been weakened and she agrees to go back to the party until the cake is cut, which should take another hour. Bo and John both try to convince her to leave, but she refuses, wondering whether another hour will really kill her. Rolf prepares to turn up the volume.

Barb, meanwhile, gets into the action and resumes demanding her cash. Lexie barges into Rolf's room and tells him to cough up the $50k or else. She also barks orders to him and Bart, commanding them to stop telling her what to do and to take care of business. Bart notes that you don't need to perform a DNA test on her to know who her father is.

12/13 Poor Hope is suffering. She feels like she's on the verge of collapse, as Rolf keeps the memories coming. Barb, meanwhile, tries to choke back the laughter as Lexie lauds her friend prior to the cutting of the cake. Rolf turns the dials and Hope's flashbacks come fast and furious. She finally manages to get to John and begs him for help. Barb gets to Lexie and demands her cash. Lexie says no, to which Barb says fine, I'll just spill the beans. That's enough to make Lexie reconsider, and she says they need to speak privately.

12/14 Hope reaches full panic mode and begs John for help. First she needs to listen to cheerful songs sung on her behalf. The Princess Gina memories continue to keep coming, despite Rolf having some mechanical difficulties back in his room. She agrees to let John remove the chip from her brain and gets closer to collapse. John finally gets Hope into an empty bedroom. She lays on the bed and he sterilizes a knife with his lighter.

Hope panics and says she can't go through with it, but just then more Princess Gina memories come. She knows that it's happening and it's dangerous, so she allows John to proceed. Rolf figures out what is happening and decides that he must "kill Hope Brady." He demands more power and begins turning his buttons. John is horrified to see Hope pass out and Rolf is convinced he killed her. But Hope opens her eyes and says, “John."

Barb continues wandering all over the party, trying to wreak havoc. She harasses Lexie continually, but Lexie turns on the DiMera fire and threatens Barb in return. Barb finds Abe and begins speaking in some kind of code about a secret Lexie is keeping, which confuses Abe and further agitates Lexie.

When she refuses again to give Barb the $50k, Barb tells Maggie that she's blackmailing Lexie, who makes up a story that Barb found out how old Lexie is and wants to spill the beans. Just when Lexie's life can't get more frustrating, her ear piece falls out and Barb notices it. She also notices Lexie jabbering into her ring and demands to know what's going on. Rolf tells Lexie to go find Hope, but Barb is such a pest that Lexie can't get away.

12/17 Abe tells Lexie that the party was a great success and she should attend to her guests. In her ear, Rolf agrees with Abe, telling Lexie to see to her guests to avoid any further suspicion. Lexie and Abe join Alice, Jennifer, Doug, Julie, Caroline, Grandpa Shawn, Maggie, and Mickey. Lexie makes an attempt to get the group to leave the party, but they resist, wanting to stay for a nightcap. Lexie finally has her way, and the group get their coats and prepare to leave.

Barb, however, refuses to leave just yet, and continues to threaten to expose the baby switch if Lexie doesn't pay her soon. Rolf, watching on the TV, comments that Barb needs to be taken care of once and for all.

Hope is unconscious in a bed upstairs at the mansion with John over her trying to get her to wake up. When she does, she momentarily thinks she is Gina, and passionately kisses John. John, realizing that it is Gina and not Hope, breaks the kiss and tells her they can't do this as Bo comes in the door, pulls John away and starts to punch him. As Bo and John fight, Hope has more memories, both of Gina and herself, all of them having to do with J.T.'s conception, birth and paternity. Bo and John finally stop fighting and Hope tells Bo that what he saw wasn't her kissing John, it was Gina. Bo doesn't believe her and storms out, leaving Hope in tears.

Bo goes downstairs and tells Marlena that he just found his wife kissing her husband. Lexie tells Bo he must have been mistaken, but Bo is sure there was no mistaking what he saw. Hope and John come downstairs and Marlena sees John bleeding and rushes to his side. Hope again tries to convince Bo that she was overwhelmed by the memories and thought that she was Gina when she woke up.

John confirms this, and Marlena says that she believes both of them that her husband loves only her. Bo wants to believe Hope, but he says he knows that she has been keeping something from him for a long time and wants to know the truth. Barb walks in and announces that someone in the room has been lying to everyone.

12/18 Barb is on the verge of spilling the beans to the remaining guests when she collapses. Rolf knocked her out with a drug-laden dart, which Lexie retrieves before anyone can find it. Rolf arrives at the hospital intending that Barb never wakes up. He has a syringe, which he tells Lexie will silence Barb once and for all. Lexie huffs and puffs and rolls her eyes, but she's ready to agree with his plan.

After Barb leaves, Bo demands that Hope tell him the secret she's been keeping. As Brady and Chloe eavesdrop, Bo then turns to Marlena and asks her what she knows. Hope intervenes and says she'll tell him everything. She begins by begging him to consider the children, and for him to understand that she wasn't herself when she was Gina. Marlena tries to help, putting her arm around Hope's waist and asking Bo to remember that Hope and John have been through their own "private hell."

That clues Bo in immediately, and he guesses that John is indeed J.T.'s father. Bo goes ballistic, telling Hope that he is disgusted by her. Marlena pleads with him to settle down, but he asks her how she responded when she found out. Marlena says that she was where Bo is now, and he spits out, "Exactly." He leaves the three of them and heads to the pub, where he recalls conversations he had with Hope where she denied that John is the boy's father. This only enrages him more, and he wishes he had killed John when he had the chance.

12/19 Bo demands answers from Lexie but she claims they must get Barb to the hospital. Lexie then secretly removes the dart so no one will find it. Realizing that John, Marlena and Hope know a secret, Bo insists that he be clued in. Unaware that Brady and Chloe are nearby listening, Marlena begins setting Bo up for the truth. He guesses the secret and forces Hope to tell him that John is J.T.'s father. Furious, Bo rushes outside where he wishes he had killed John when he had the chance. Bo heads to the pub where he tries to drink away the many memories of Hope lying to him.

At the ER, Rolf pulls Lexie into a supply room. Lexie asks what is going to happen to Barb? Is she going to die? She wants to know what the dart contained that she pulled out of Barb? He tells her it is just a sleeping medication to knock her out. He warns her that when Barb wakes up that Lexie will be in grave danger. Rolf shows Lexie a syringe and tells her there is an easier way to get rid of blackmailers. A simple injection and Barb will never wake up, taking her secrets with her. He promises not to do this if she doesn’t approve. If Barb walks out of the hospital, Lexie will loose her child forever.
