Bo & Hope #49 December 20, 2001 - February 22, 2002: 8 hour original edit

DVD #49A 12/20 Lexie tells Rolf no, that she can not be involved with murder. She orders Rolf to contact Stefano and get $2 million for Barb. Lexie is smug that the party was a great success, Bo & Hope will be so busy concentrating on other things that they won’t think about a possible baby switch. Rolf has other plans, and tells Lexie that they must put a permanent stop to Barb. Convinced that she is about to be ruined, Lexie breaks down.

Sensing the tension in the room, Belle and Shawn ask their mothers what is going on. Hope and Marlena try to explain that they were talking about all their blessings and all they have to be grateful for, but the kids don't buy it. After the kids leave, Hope worries to Marlena about her marriage.

At the pub, Bo continues his rampage, turning over the Christmas tree. Shawn hears him and comes downstairs. Bo won't tell Shawn what's bothering him, but Shawn senses it has something to do with Hope. He recalls when he found out that Bo wasn't his biological son, which obviously resonates with Bo. Shawn explains that while he was devastated, he and Caroline worked through it because they loved each other. He urges Bo to go home to Hope and begin trying to make their marriage work. Bo leaves. He heads home to find John waiting to talk to him.

12/21 In her delusional state, Barb tells Glen that she wishes she were as good as he is, because she lied to him. Glen asks what she lied about, and Barb says the DNA test. She mumbles that Isaac isn't his baby, but his baby is in Salem. She falls asleep before she says with whom.

Hope bemoans the fate of her marriage to Marlena, who tries to comfort her. Hope admits that she became Gina during the party, and that she snapped out of it when Bo entered the room and found her sucking face with John. As Hope ponders the state of her marriage, Lexie and Abe come back home. Hope lunges at Lexie, asking her what happened. Putting on quite a performance, Lexie starts weeping at how her best friend Hope could possibly think that Lexie would cause her any harm.

Hope is disgusted, and assures Lexie that she will find out what happened. It also occurs to Hope that Barb might be the missing link to this equation. She asks Lexie what Barb was trying to say, but Lexie plays dumb. Hope decides that she will go to the hospital the next day to interrogate Barb.

John has gone to talk to Bo. He tells Bo that everyone lied to him because they wanted him to bond with JT. John asks Bo if he could have loved JT as much as he does, had he known from the start that John was the boy's father. Bo seems to start to understand, but the betrayal has cut him to the quick. Hope and Marlena return home to their men.

12/24 Lexie asks Rolf what happened at the hospital, and he admits that nothing happened, he didn't give the injection to Barb. Lexie and Rolf continue to discuss Barb's blackmail attempts as Abe listens unnoticed on the stairs. Abe finally makes his presence known and demands an explanation from Lexie. Lexie admits to Abe that she is being blackmailed by Barb for $2,000,000 because Barb is sure that Lexie blew up the DNA lab, which she denies doing.

Abe then wonders why Lexie would pay Barb the money if she was innocent. Abe says he has always known that there was evil in their house, but now he knows where it is coming from, Lexie!

Glen asks Barb what she meant when she said that his son was alive. Barb says she meant their baby, and that it is doing fine. Glen then remembers that she mentioned Marlo's baby, and Barb finally admits that his and Marlo's son is alive, that it is little J.T., the child that is being raised by Bo and Hope.

Hope is dropped off at home by John and Marlena, and they are all surprised to find Bo there. Hope puts J.T. to bed as Bo remembers a past night spent happily with Hope, Shawn and J.T. When Hope returns downstairs, she thanks Bo for returning home and apologizes for lying to him about J.T.'s paternity. Bo answers with sarcasm and says that everything that they had had before has ended tonight.

They continue to argue and Bo asks Hope to ask him what she is really wondering if Bo will leave her. Bo says he won't walk away from his commitment to his family, as much as he'd like to, but he will never trust Hope again. Bo then asks who else knew that John was J.T.'s father, and Hope admits that Lexie knows. Bo then asks why Hope didn't just lie to Lexie about it like she lied to Bo.

Bo goes upstairs to bed, and as Hope is crying on the couch when Shawn returns home. Hope tells Shawn that she and Bo had a fight, but assures him that it has nothing to do with him. Shawn comforts his mother. Hope gets into bed with Bo and looks hopefully over to him, but he turns his back on her. She too turns away as she tries not to cry again.

12/25 Special Christmas episode year of 9/11. The actors discuss their favorite character clips, and Kristin and Peter introduce the Bo & Hope clips from some of their favorite times. They put the ornaments on the tree at the end of the show, though this time they are a tribute to EMT, firefighters and police officers who died on 9/11. Complete show offered on a bonus dvd separately with other special flashback/anniversary episodes.

12/26 Special Bo & Hope Episode - 100% pure Bo & Hope as they navigate their new reality an have flashbacks over their past. Bo wakes, sill upset with Hope for lying to him about her affair with John. She again tries to explain but Bo won't talk with Hope. Hope flashes back to a memory of John being there for her when J.T. was christened. Meanwhile, as Bo gets ready for the day, he remembers when he first met Hope and buying kisses from her in the kissing booth. He also thinks about when Shawn was born and worries that what was supposed to last forever is now coming to an end. He hops into the shower, unaware that Hope has plans to surprise him there.

When she joins him, he is uncomfortable and finally claims he can't do this as he leaves the shower. After a quick hello to Shawn and J.T., Bo announces to Hope that he may be working some overtime and may not even come home tonight. She stops him and confesses her love and her desire to see their kids grow up with him. Bo admits he still loves her but then leaves. Bo hugs J.T. and a suspicious Shawn before leaving Hope behind in her bedroom, crying.

12/27 Cameron Reese arrives as Glen’s attorney and assures them both that they will get their son. Barb is upset as she is pregnant, he lost his job and now they have to pay big legal bills to take on a special needs kid.

Lexie finally confesses to Abe that Glen and Barb learned that J.T. is John's son and now they want money to keep this quiet. She explains that she only recently found this out as she overheard Marlena and Hope talking. She continues that is what the uproar was all about last night as Bo learned the horrible truth at the party.

Abe vows to have Barb and Glen arrested but Lexie claims that now that Bo knows the truth, their blackmail scheme is worthless. She talks him into not arresting them as it would bring attention and embarrassment to Bo & Hope. He apologizes for accusing her of lying, believing that she was just trying to protect their friends.

Marlena advises Hope to call Bo at work but he remains cool to her.

12/28 Hope informs Bo that she's willing to do whatever it takes to get their marriage back on track. Bo doesn't see this happening. Hope tries to make Bo see that she did this to protect him and it was Gina who slept with John. Bo scoffs at this, but Hope points out that Bo was Gina's victim as well. He married her thinking Gina was Hope. Bo believes that isn't the same.

Hope then points out that Bo chose Billie over her, but she learned to trust again and forgave him. JT cries from upstairs and Hope goes to him, telling Bo that when she returns she wants to find her husband (not the person Bo is now) waiting for her. John calls Bo so he can prepare to tell Shawn about JT, but Bo hangs up on him.

12/31 Barb arrives at Lexi’s, and Lexie tells Barb that she doesn't have the money yet, but she will have it by the end of the day. Barb isn't buying Lexie's excuses anymore, and she tells Lexie that she told Glen that JT is really his son. Barb again demands the money to make sure that Glen will leave JT with Bo and Hope, but Lexie can't get the money right then. Barb makes more threats about telling people about JT, then leaves. Back at their car, Barb tells Glen that it is time to let the world know about the baby switch, and that JT is really Glen's son.

Bo holds Hope as she cries on the couch, then they start to talk civilly about everything that has happened to them in the last few days. Bo apologizes for the way he's been acting, but he wishes that Hope had been honest with him. Bo & Hope then talk about letting Shawn know that John is JT's father. Hope doesn't want to tell Shawn, but Bo doesn't want any more lies, and he thinks Shawn is strong enough to handle the truth.

Besides, Bo says, Shawn loves JT and will continue to love him the same way no matter who JT's biological father is. Hope then suggests they talk to Marlena about it, and Bo admits that John called earlier and Bo hung up on him. Bo then calls John back and invites him and Marlena over to talk.

1/2 Lexie's world is falling apart and when Abe comes home, she tells him that they are losing Isaac. When Abe demands to know what's going on, Lexie breaks down and (although she pretends she just found out) tells Abe that JT is Glen's son and Isaac is Hope’s baby. Abe looks at her in stunned silence.

Abe finds Lexie heading out with Isaac and her luggage, ready to skip town. He begs her not to do this. As she opens the door she finds Court officers, who have come to deliver a DNA order and confiscate the Carver's passports. They are warned that they are forbidden to leave town until the DNA tests return and Issac’s DNA is verified due to a possible baby switch.

1/3 Roman is shocked when Cameron tells him they are serving papers to Bo and Hope regarding their baby’s DNA!

John and Marlena arrive at Bo and Hope’s request. Bo and Hope explain to John and Marlena that it's time to tell Brady about J.T. Roman arrives with Cameron who reveals the court order for DNA testing to prove Glen is J.T.'s father.

1/4 Hope is in denial about the possibility of a baby switch. Bo admits that he's suspected this all along, but John and Hope won't hear of it. Tensions run high as John is forced to defer to Bo and let him handle Cameron. Roman informs them that they have 48 hours to comply with the court ordered DNA test. Roman and Cameron leave and Bo puts in a call to Mickey Horton. John stuns Marlena and Bo by revealing that he performed his own test on JT that proved he was JT's father. Bo questions how John's test can say one thing and Glen's another. He strongly suspects Stefano's involvement in all this. John tries to reassure a badly shaken Hope.

Lexi declares to Abe that she will fight to keep her baby. Abe can’t even think about what it would mean to lose him, but if Hope is his mother…..? Lexie interrupts that SHE is his mother, the only mother he has ever known. She points out that Bo resents Isaac’s biological father, John, so much so that Bo had not bonded with the baby.

She remembers Bo taking off for Ireland, and not being there for JT’s heart surgery. He even missed his christening and points out John had to stand in for him. If she has to accuse Bo & Hope of being unfit parents then that is what she will do to keep her son! Abe is shocked that she could think of such a thing. Bo & Hope have turned their lives upside down to take care of JT.

1/7 Bo, Hope, John and Marlena are still reeling from Roman and Cameron's visit, and Hope tries to convince herself that everything will be okay that the DNA test that John took proves he's J.T.'s father. Hope then remembers the time when J.T. said his first word, "da-da". Bo reassures her that they'll be able to move on once this is all over. John can't believe that another DNA test would have different results than his, and Marlena reassures him.

John then says that everything is going to get a lot more complicated when everyone finds out the J.T. is John's son. John tells Bo that his DNA test was done after Bo & Hope brought J.T. home from the hospital, but Bo doesn't really believe that the test is valid, since Stefano was involved in it. Hope says that she'll refuse the test, and that she resents everyone painting Glen as the victim in this matter.

Mickey comes over and reviews the court order, and convinces Hope that she has to submit to the test. Mickey also tells them that, if the test is positive, Glen could sue for custody, and that courts have been favoring fathers' rights lately, especially in cases where the mother gave the child up for adoption without the father's knowledge.

Mickey tries to reassure them by saying that he doesn't think a court would remove a child from a loving home like theirs. John and Marlena then tell everyone that they need to tell Belle and Shawn what has been going on, but wonder what to tell first, the news about the DNA test, or that John is J.T.'s biological father. Mickey is surprised to hear that John is J.T.'s father, not Bo.

1/8 Marlena explains to Mickey about John being JT's biological father. Bo tells Mickey as their lawyer, they want him to keep what he just learned quiet. Hope pleads her case about not caring what's underneath the microscope. They loved, raised and fought for JT and that makes him their son.

Hope wants to flee out of the room, but Bo stops her and tells her running won't do anything as he pulls her into his arms to comfort her. They worry about what could happen and she pleads with him to promise not to let anyone take JT away from them. A silent Bo just hugs her. Marlena assures them no matter what the DNA test results are, they're all going to fight for JT as Mickey goes to make arrangements. Marlena tells Hope to focus on the present for now.

Roman returns and tells them about his encounter with Abe and Lexie and how Lexie reacted about the baby switch scenario. Hope doesn't blame Lexie and tells Mickey to sell the house if he needs to, but get rid of Glen and dashes upstairs. Roman apologizes to Bo for upsetting Hope. Bo tells him he understands it's out of his hands as Roman tells Bo not to worry about coming to work tomorrow, he'll cover for him. Bo goes up to be with Hope as Mickey asks John to talk with some investigators with him. John agrees and they go to the kitchen to use the phone there.

Bo finds Hope crying on their bed. He checked and JT's asleep and comforts Hope. She just wants to take JT and run away. Bo wonders why Stefano would do what he did and hurt his own daughter. Hope pleads with Bo to help them find a way for all of this to all just go away and isn't sure if she can do the DNA test now. She tells Bo he's her hero and saved her life so many times. They need him now and she has faith he can keep them from taking their son as she cries on his shoulder. (Note: Hope wishes this would all just go away and the recapped for this episode noted that there are new head writers so maybe Hope will get her wish! LOL)

1/9 At Bo and Hope's, as the couple discuss JT, Glen and Barb show up. Bo invites them in to talk. Glen and Barb provide them with the results of the DNA test they did when they had kidnapped JT, but Hope refuses to believe it. Glenn says he doesn’t want to fight with them, he just wants the truth. He tells them that he isn’t a monster, just a hard working guy, who happened to get his girlfriend pregnant. While this baby wasn’t planned he was very much wanted, at least by Glenn. When Glen mentions that he'd like to see JT, Bo and Hope flip and demand they get out. Hope asks Bo to promise her that he'll protect their son.

1/10 Jennifer goes to see Hope per Bo's request and tries to talk her into submitting to the DNA test. Hope appeals to Jennifer as a mother, and gives a compelling case for keeping JT. JT needs special care and Hope, who knows her son better than anyone, feels she's the only one who can give it to him. Hope promises JT that her love for him will keep them together. Jennifer is moved and promises to do whatever she can to help Hope keep JT.

Abe tries to talk to Bo and Roman at the police station, but Bo is too angry to listen. He details exactly how/why he thinks Lexie knows about the baby switch. Abe turns to Roman for support. Roman is torn between friends and family and decides to go with the truth. He backs up Bo, and Abe makes an impassioned plea to Roman (and Bo), saying he should understand what it's like to have his family torn apart, especially since John Black was involved then too! Roman is shocked to hear that John is JT's father.

1/11 At the station, Roman can't believe John slept with Hope. Bo and Abe continue to argue about how much Abe and Lexie know, and Bo eventually leaves to see Hope. Roman fears whatever happened between John and Hope is far from over.

At Bo and Hope's, Hope talks to Jen. Jen tries to calm Hope down and convince her that perhaps Glen will do the right thing and leave JT with them, if JT turns out to be Glen's son. Shawn shows up, and soon after Bo comes home. Bo and Hope both tell Shawn that they need to talk about something. Shawn can tell that it is very serious.

Dvd #49B 1/14 Bo and Hope tell Shawn that something is up, and Shawn wants to know what it is right away. They admit if is about J.T., but nothing is wrong with him. Hope finally tells Shawn that Bo is not J.T.'s biological father. Shawn can't believe this news, and Hope explains that when she thought she was Princess Gina, she slept with John Black. Shawn then attacks Bo, asking how he could let his wife sleep with another man.

Bo explains that John was also under Stefano's control, and that neither Hope nor John knew what they were doing. Shawn then asks Bo how long he knew about this. Bo admits he only just found out about John, but that he knew all along that the baby was not his. Shawn then shouts at his parents for not telling him, as Bo and Hope try to calm him down. Bo finally tells Shawn to act like an adult and try to accept this, as Bo has. Shawn tells his parents that they both seem like strangers to him right now.

Hope then tells Shawn how devoted Bo has been to all of them through all of this. Shawn apologizes and they all hug. Shawn then says he hopes that they are not keeping anything else from him, and they tell him about the possible baby switch, and that J.T. might be taken away from them. Shawn is stunned to speechlessness by this revelation.

1/15 Cameron returns to the DiMera mansion where Lexie blackmails her with the offer of $50,000 to help Bo & Hope keep JT or she will run to the law board to have Cameron’s license suspended. Cameron finally offers to help after Lexie raises the amount to $100,000.

Hearing that J.T. may not be Hope's baby, Shawn angrily insists that no one will take his brother from him.

Glenn tells Barb that he is going for full custody as JT is HIS son.

1/16 Glen and Barb show up at the hospital for the DNA test and meet up with Roman. Hope and Bo arrive with JT, and the blood samples are taken. Suddenly, Shawn shows up and tells Barb and Glen that he has to tell them something. Shawn tells them that they have to talk about JT, his little brother. Shawn talks to them about JT, and Glen says that he deserves a chance to be his own son's father.

Shawn says it doesn't matter who his real father is, they are the ones he needs because he is sick! Glen says he knows he loves him, but if JT is his flesh and blood, he will take him. Shawn tells Glen that if he does that, he will kill him! Barb tells Shawn that was over the line! Barb and Glen leave, and Shawn can't believe he said that to them. Shawn tells his parents that he thinks he made everything worse, and he's sorry. Hope tells him that it is okay, and they all go home.

1/17 Roman interrupts the Brady's dinner. He explains to Bo and Hope that if the DNA tests prove that Glen is J.T.'s father, he could win custody of the boy. Upstairs, Shawn puts J.T. to bed.

1/18 Cameron Reese shows up to see Barb and Glen, and gives them a bill for $5,750 dollars to continue keeping her in their services. She tells them that this is a very difficult case, and they have only scratched the surface. Cameron says suing for custody is going to be an even larger financial commitment.

1/21 Alice has arrived at Bo and Hope's house to watch J.T. while they all go to the station for the test results. As Bo and Hope watch, Shawn confides in Alice that he is scared, and that he has been waiting for a sign from his Grandpa Tom, but hasn't felt anything yet. Alice reassures him that Tom is concentrating on looking out for J.T. - that Tom has a special bond with little John Thomas. Shawn says he will not give up, and they all thank Alice and leave for the station.

Cameron is leaving the DiMera mansion, and Rolf reminds her that she will only get the rest of the money if she makes Glen and Barb go away for good. Cameron assures him that Barb is the key, and that she will do her best to get Barb to convince Glen to give up and go away.

At the station, Cameron talks to Barb about how difficult it will be for her to take care of a special needs child, in addition to her own child. Barb questions which side Cameron is really on, and Cameron sidesteps Barb's accusation, reminding Barb that it is not too late to stop Glen from making a mistake he could regret for the rest of his life.

Meanwhile, John, Marlena, Belle, Bo, Hope and Shawn have all arrived. Belle and Shawn tentatively greet each other, as Hope approaches Glen and tells him how much she loves J.T. Hope is pleading with Glen not to take her son away, as Barb and Cameron come back in the room. Barb tells Hope to leave Glen alone, and Bo takes his wife away to comfort her. Mickey arrives, ready to help however he can.

Roger comes in the room and everyone starts to prepare themselves to hear the news. Barb makes a brief attempt to talk Glen into just leaving, but Glen won't hear it. Roman clears everyone from the room except Roger, Glen, Barb, Bo, Hope, Shawn, Belle, John, Marlena, Cameron and Mickey, and they all gather around Roger, who makes the announcement that the test shows that Glen is J.T.'s father. Glen demands his son now, as Hope collapses in disbelief into Bo's arms.

1/22 Abe calls Lexie with the news that J.T. is Glen's baby. Mickey calms Glen and claims nothing will be done for now about J.T.'s custody. Knowing the truth, Shawn enlists Belle's help but she worries when he starts packing J.T.'s clothes. Bo ends up fighting Glen.

1/23 With Bo and Hope home, Shawn and Belle slip out the back way with the baby. Hope screams to find J.T. gone. Alice explains Shawn's plans for the baby.

When John and Marlena confront Lexie, she pretends sadness that Glenn turned out to be the father of Hope’s baby. Marlena tells her that is nonsense that Hope never slept with Glenn. John reports that when he got the DNA test result showing he was the father, that he was sitting in his car and Stefano showed up. John continues that Hope began having Gina memories during the party and they almost lost Hope that night.

John wonders why Glen and Barb were at that party, huddled to themselves, looking guilty about something. Lexie tries to play the victim but Marlena isn’t buying it. Marlena says that perhaps that Lexie didn’t engineer the baby switch but she found out about it at some point and would like Lexie to tell them when she found out she had the wrong baby? Lexie tries to stick with Glenn being the father of Hope’s baby. John says that Hope never slept with Glenn. John lays it all out that the babies were switched and Hope has Marlo’s baby which is why the DNA matches.

He wonders aloud why Stefano would want his daughter raising Hope's baby? John then wonders if Stefano slept with Gina. Outside the DiMera mansion, Shawn and Belle arrive with J.T.

1/24 Roman enters the Brady house to find Mrs. Horton, Hope, and Bo in a very serious state. Bo informs him that Shawn ran away, taking J.T. with him. Bo takes Roman into the kitchen for coffee and details, leaving Hope on the couch with Mrs. Horton for some grandmotherly support. Hope reminisces about Shawn's response to J.T.'s birth. Shawn has always done what was best for his little brother. Hope tells Mrs. Horton that she hopes Shawn will run far and fast. She knows he will teach J.T. to say "I won't go," so that he can say that to the judge.

Meanwhile, Bo fills Roman in on the details and Roman is astounded at Shawn's actions. Bo defends Shawn and realizes that Shawn loved and protected J.T. even more than he did. Roman says he can't ignore Shawn's actions and wants to report the crime. Bo convinces him to keep things quiet. Roman will put out a "locate and inform" request on Bo's truck, which Shawn is driving.

Roman wants to call John and Marlena to inform them that Belle is with Shawn and J.T., as they don't know she is missing. Bo and Roman leave to look for Shawn, Belle, and J.T. Hope wants to go with them, and Mrs. Horton tries to comfort her. At the last minute, Hope runs out the door after Bo and Roman.

At the DiMera mansion, John boldly states that Stefano wanted Isaac raised under the protection of the DiMera name. He claimed that Stefano must be Isaac's father.

Outside the mansion door, Belle and Shawn, with J.T., approach. They hear shouting and eavesdrop on the conversation. They head back to the truck that Shawn parked out of sight.

Belle and Shawn wait in the truck with J.T. They discuss what they overheard. Shawn can't believe that Stefano could be J.T.'s father. Belle points out that Isaac could be Shawn's brother. Once they see John and Marlena leave, Shawn wants to see Lexie. He rings the doorbell, while Belle and J.T. hide. Lexie answers the door, finding a helpless looking Shawn.

Lexie demands to know what he wants. Shawn says he overheard the conversation with John. Belle reveals herself, holding J.T. Shawn says he thinks Lexie can help them. Lexie looks surprised. Shawn explains that he doesn't want to lose J.T. and he knows that she doesn't want to lose Isaac. Lexie doesn't understand how she can help. Shawn says, "We need money, lots of it. And we need it now."

1/29 Roman calls Bo on his cell phone. Hope and Bo are driving around searching for Shawn and J.T. in Roman's car, since Shawn took Bo's truck and slashed Hope's tires. After inquiring about the search, Roman makes a crack to Bo that Shawn's actions sound like something that Bo would have done at his age. Bo tells her what Roman said over the phone and Hope comments that, like Shawn, Bo would have done whatever he had to in order to protect the people he loved.

Hope and Bo arrive at John and Marlena’s looking for Belle. Once they confirm that Belle is not home, they tell John and Marlena of Shawn's kidnapping of J.T. and that they think Belle is with him. Marlena calls Philip looking for Belle. Philip hasn't heard from her. Bo says that Shawn would not risk getting a friend involved.

Marlena asks who Shawn trusts enough to turn to? Bo thinks the kids must be on the road getting as far away as they can. Hope says they will call when they get to their destination to ask for money. John and Bo leave to continue searching. On the way out, Bo tells Hope that if Shawn calls, she has to convince him to come back before the Reibers put out an APB.

Alone together, Marlena tells Hope that sometimes when she looks at her, everything is fine, but that at other times, things are not fine. Hope wants to know what Marlena is feeling. Marlena says, "I was wondering what you remembered at Lexie's house when you were kissing my husband."

Shawn pleads with Lexie for help with J.T. Lexie consents to Belle and Shawn bringing J.T. in out of the cold while they talk. Shawn informs Lexie that since Glen is J.T.'s biological father, Hope's baby is probably living with Lexie. Rolf glides in, being very friendly. Rolf tells Shawn to tell them exactly what he wants to accomplish and how it may help the situation.

Shawn tells of his plan to teach J.T. to say, "I won't go," so the judge won't take him away. Shawn passionately states that he can't lose his baby brother; he doesn't care about the DNA test results. Lexie's face softens and she hugs Shawn as she says, "I know exactly how you feel."

Rolf says that since Shawn's father and uncle are on the police force, he can run but he can't hide. Shawn declares that if Lexie won't help them, he has to find someone who can, because he is not giving up and he is not getting caught. Rolf offers the mansion as a safe house. Lexie says they can't stay there. How could they hide them from Abe? Belle and Shawn admit to finding the secret rooms at the party.

Lexie gets defensive, but Rolf calmly states that they could safely stay in a secret room. Shawn begs to stay. Lexie thinks that Abe will find out and arrest them all. Shawn doesn't believe he could be arrested for kidnapping because J.T. is his brother. Belle and Shawn assume that by tomorrow, everyone will think they are out of town. Rolf agrees and Lexie is finally convinced. Belle and Shawn are in the secret room, putting J.T. to bed.

As Rolf returns from putting the truck in one of the passageways, Lexie demands a reminder of why she is doing this. Rolf tells her it gives her control. Lexie and Rolf deduce that if J.T. can learn those words, maybe Glen Riber will realize what's best. Rolf says, "The Brady's will keep J.T." Lexie, wistfully, finishes his sentence, "And they won't come after Isaac. And he'll be safe and mine, forever."

1/30 Hope tells Marlena that if they are friends, she wouldn't ask her to relive her guilt. Marlena wants the truth and presses Hope for it. Hope states that Bo is the only man she has ever loved and that she considers both John and Marlena her friends.

Meanwhile tucked away in the mansion's secret room, as Shawn and Belle begin to worry about what their parents will think, Rolf enters with a phone. Shawn asks if it can be traced. Rolf assures him that it can't, but will still only allow one phone call. He thinks they will not be able to conceal their location. Shawn lets Belle make the call.

Marlena answers the phone and gets assurances that the kids are all okay. Then she puts Hope on the phone to talk to Shawn. Hope begs him to come home. Shawn says he will be home soon, and before he can say anything else, Rolf disconnects the phone. Rolf is smug as he takes the phone away, leaves, and locks the door behind him. Belle panics but Rolf’s voice comes over a speaker assuring her the door will be opened in the morning. She tells Shawn this is freaky and is afraid there might be hidden cameras.

Back in the parlor, Rolf asks Lexie for his next orders. "Will you please just tell me what you want them to be," an exasperated Lexie snaps, as she holds a teddy bear. Rolf says she can play the situation off like she has found the kids. She can be the hero. Lexie calls him a genius and enthusiastically hugs him. "Fate brought those children here tonight. Maybe things are finally going to go my way," she says.

1/31 John and Bo come back to the penthouse empty-handed, complaining about Lexie. Lexie overhears them all complaining about her and interrupts, blasting them for badmouthing her. She then announces that J.T. is at her place with Shawn and Belle. Bo and John rush after her while Marlena wonders if Hope could take Isaac away from Lexie and Abe.

2/1 Shawn and Belle are shocked when Roman and Bo show up at the DiMera mansion. Shawn lays into Bo, accusing him of having no concern for J.T. Bo eventually takes J.T. from Shawn while John holds Isaac and wonders if he might be his son. Lexie panics to see him with Isaac and when he senses her fear, John warns her that if he finds out Isaac is his son, he'll never let her raise him. As Shawn and Belle leave, Lexie urges them to convince their parents to fight for custody of J.T.

2/4 Glen, Barb, and Cameron are at the courthouse, and Cameron reminds Glen that they are not there to ask for custody, just for supervised visitation. Glen is upset at this, and even more so when Cameron tells him that it is very possible that the social worker assigned to their case might decide that J.T. should stay with Bo and Hope.

The social worker comes up to them and is introduced by Cameron, and hands Glen some forms for him to complete. Glen is surprised that they need a criminal background check and psychological history. The social worker then turns to Barb and asks her if she is prepared to care for another woman's child with special needs, in addition to her own baby? Glen prompts Barb, but she hesitates in answering. Glen pulls Barb aside and tells her he won't let her ruin this for him.

Bo and Hope are talking to Mickey, and Hope asks if she is going to lose her baby. Mickey reassures Hope that the judge won't take J.T. away from her now, but that a social worker will be evaluating both Bo and Hope, and Glen and Barb. Hope reminds Mickey that Glen kidnapped J.T., but Mickey reminds her that they did not press charges against him. Mickey says that Glen and his lawyer will use any means necessary to win the case, including attacking Bo & Hope personally and accusing them of being unfit parents.

Hope can't believe this, but Mickey tells her that her affair with John might make their case worse. Mickey then tells them that the judge will almost definitely award Glen some visitation, starting with a few hours and probably progressing to an entire weekend. Hope is afraid that Glen would run away with J.T. again, but Mickey assures her he would not damage his case by doing that.

Then Hope says she is upset that the court would allow Glen to bond with her son, and thinks that this would be preparing Glen to take J.T. away from her permanently, which Mickey admits is a possibility. Finally, Mickey tells Bo and Hope that he thinks that Cameron thinks that J.T. would be better off staying where he is, with Bo and Hope, although Mickey is not sure why this is.

2/5 Abe states that all they know for sure is that Glen is J.T.'s biological father, but they suspect that Isaac is Hope's son. He reminds Lexie that since she keeps reminding everyone there were four babies born at the hospital that night, they need evidence. They need a DNA test done on Isaac.

Lexie looks shocked at the suggestion and refuses. Abe says that it could prove that Isaac is not Hope's son. Lexie says she is doing all she can to ensure that Bo and Hope keep J.T. Abe wants to know if that includes being dishonest and criminal?

Hope and Bo arrive at the courthouse with Mickey. They see Carol Burns, a social worker, talking to the Reibers and Cameron Reece. As Ms. Burns enters the courtroom, the Brady's approach the Reibers. Hope asks why the Reibers got to meet the social worker first. "Because the Ribers got here early," Cameron replies. Hope thinks that they did that to prejudice the social worker against her.

Ms. Burns enters the lobby and introduces herself to Bo and Hope. She gives them forms to fill out and informs them that she will be scheduling a home visit. She swears no one will get preferential treatment. Bo pulls Hope aside as everyone enters the courtroom. He tells her they will make sure the judge understands that J.T. belongs to them.

In the courtroom, the Bradys and the Reibers exchange confrontational glances. The judge says the child's rights are the foremost consideration, but the father's rights will also be considered. Hope bursts in, "Why should Glen get visitation? It's not fair." The judge tells her she is out of order and then adds that since J.T. is not Hope's biological son, she has very little recourse. She continues, saying that she is not disposed to rule in Hope's favor and that Glen has every right to see his son.

Finally, the judge says, "It is the decision of this court that Glen Reiber be allowed visitation with his child." Hope protests and Mickey tries to calm her as the judge gives her a warning. Glen is polite and agrees to all restrictions on his visitation rights. Hope mumbles that Glen spent time with J.T. when he kidnapped him. The judge throws Hope out of the courtroom. Mickey counsels Hope to leave before she angers the judge more. The judge tells Mickey to arrange for a visitation for tomorrow. Bo tries to comfort Hope in the lobby. Hope is shocked when she finds out the visitation is tomorrow.

2/11 John arrives at the mansion and tells Lexie that he's changed his mind about letting her raise his son. Lexie insists that Isaac is her son, no one else's, and lets him in. Once inside the house, John grabs Lexie and puts a rag over her mouth. John then ties Lexie up, and as he's doing it, Rolf comes in with an upraised bottle, meaning to hit John over the head. John sees Rolf, though, and kicks him, knocking Rolf unconscious to the floor.

Eliana comes in, sees Rolf, and accuses John of killing him. John turns to her and demands to know where the baby is, as Lexie looks on and screams through her gag. While John is out of the room, Eliana starts to untie Lexie, and when John returns, he has a swab with a sample of Isaac's DNA. John leaves with the swab and Rolf wakes up, telling Lexie that the old John is back, and their lives will never be the same again.

Hope is making a show of being okay with everything, but she eventually shows, after Bo's prodding, that she is terrified about Glen spending time with J.T. tomorrow. Hope breaks down in Bo's arms as Shawn walks in. Bo tells Shawn that Glen will be taking J.T. tomorrow as part of the court order, and Shawn is concerned about J.T.'s health while he's away. Bo assures Shawn that he will be ok, and they all hope that Glen will give up and go away soon.

Shawn tries to leave to go help Jan, but Bo and Hope won't let him go until he tells them where he's going. Shawn says he can't tell them, and Bo finally convinces Hope to trust their son's judgment. Shawn leaves the room and goes up to J.T.'s room. Shawn tries again to get J.T. to say "I won't go", then tells him that J.T. doesn't belong with anyone else but him.

Bo walks by and sees this, and goes in the room. Shawn apologizes to Bo for telling him that he didn't want J.T. because he wasn't Bo's biological son. Bo tries once more to get Shawn to tell him where he's going, but Shawn says no and leaves to pack.

2/12 Hope is sewing labels into all of J.T.'s clothes. Bo discusses J.T.'s impending visit with Glen. They then talk about Shawn and Hope admits she's nervous about Shawn being secretive with helping a friend. Bo reminds Hope that Shawn is going to be 18 soon, and with raised eyebrows, they remember how they celebrated Hope's 18th birthday. Hope remembers that at the time, she thought she could never love anyone more than Bo Brady, but that she was wrong, because she loves him more now.

Bo helps Hope with the sewing and comments that the lies and stuff that happened with John doesn't matter anymore. They agree that they can't lose J.T. Bo says he feels ashamed that he didn't want J.T. Hope reassures him and says, "If Shawn were to get a girl pregnant, I don't know if I could handle that."

"You're not worried that's going to happen, are you?" Bo asks. Hope wants to know why they don't know the name of Shawn's friend and why is this girl asking him to keep secrets from them. Bo brings Hope ice cream. Hope worries that J.T. won't remember her and then says that if Glen does get custody, a part of her doesn't want J.T. to remember them, so he won't have an empty spot inside.

Bo comforts her with old memories of when they were young. He reminds Hope that she has always felt joy and that she used that to turn J.T.'s life around when he was a sick baby. Bo and Hope both want Shawn's life to be as normal as possible. Bo says they raised a good kid and "we will raise both our sons."

2/14 Bo and Hope talk about Glen’s visit the next day and Bo’s proud of how well Hope is handling the situation. Bo gets up for another log on the fire and comes back with a Valentine’s gift for her instead. He figures there should be a Valentines day song and starts making one up. She stops him when she pulls out the gift, a silver heart locket with a picture of JT inside. He tells her that way JT will always be with her and in her heart. Awww. She loves it and starts worrying about Shawn and if he’s okay. Belle calls and Hope answers the phone. Belle tells Hope about she saw Shawn earlier at dotCom with Jan when Hope asks and has Bo get on the extension. Hope tells Belle how Shawn left to help a friend in trouble and wonder if Jan was the girl he was referring to. They thank her for calling and ask her to call them if she sees Shawn.

Bo walks out eating a piece of pie. Hope calls Shawn on his cell. He and Jan are driving home and he assures her he’s okay and will be home soon. She apologizes for checking up on him, but was worried. He reminds her that she doesn’t want him talking on the phone and driving and will see her soon. Bo and Hope head up to bed now that she knows Shawn will be home soon.

John informs Marlena that the DNA test shows that he is not Isaac's father. He first needs to know if Lexie has Hope’s child, if not there were two other babies born that night and he could be the father of Hope’s baby with another family. He suspects if he isn’t Isaac’s father and if he is Hope’s baby that Stefano is the father! He asks for her help obtaining Hope's DNA to see if she is Isaac's mother. She asks if Hope is okay with that? He isn’t telling anyone about this.

2/15 Shawn returns home with a heavy sigh outside the door. He comes in and picks up one of JT's toys and plops down on the sofa. Bo walks up and asks if he is okay? Shawn tries to go off to bed, but Bo wants to talk about what may happen tomorrow. He explains that JT and Hope both finally fell asleep, but he couldn't. There are some more good scenes between these two as Bo feels that he is letting everyone down and feels helpless in their situation.

Shawn explains that he doesn't blame and again apologizes for things he said earlier. They promise to fight for JT as Bo reminds him that they have love on their side. He tries to prepare Shawn for the possibility of losing JT, while hoping that Glen will change his mind. Bo questions him as to where he was tonight (as Shawn has more flashbacks of Jan). Shawn tells Bo he needs to tell him something and starts talking about doing the right thing. Bo brings up Jan's name and explains that Belle had called earlier. Shawn tries to explain, but Bo doesn't like the sound of it.

Shawn tells him the truth that Jan is pregnant and how he talked her out of the abortion. Bo admires him but cautions him not to get too involved and not to make Jan's problems, HIS problems. He tells Shawn that she needs her parents help, but Shawn explains that they don't care and that he is all she has. Finally, Bo realizes that it is getting really late and that they need to get some sleep and promises to talk more later. Bo heads off to bed as Shawn sits alone on the sofa and sighs heavily. He says "How am I going to do this? How can I tell them?"

2/19 John calls Bo and says that they are on their way over. Bo tells him this isn’t a good time but John won’t take no for an answer. While they wait for their morning guests, Bo and Hope discuss Shawn and Jan. Bo tells Hope that Jan is pregnant and that Shawn is rescuing her. They walk downstairs and find Shawn in a pensive mood. He wants to talk to his parents about the baby, but the doorbell rings before he can get started.

John, Marlena, and Belle arrive. John offers his support to the Bradys. Bo doesn't know why he couldn't have said that over the phone. Marlena gives them a gift basket, which Hope readily accepts. J.T. cries and Marlena offers to help Hope with him. After the ladies leave the room, Bo asks John why he's really there?

Marlena changes J.T.'s diaper and says that she got some lotion on her shirt. Hope tells her there is stain remover under the sink. Marlena locks herself in the bathroom. As Hope plays with J.T., Marlena puts on a rubber glove and takes a piece of hair from the brush. Hope, asking if Marlena found everything okay, tries to open the locked door. Marlena quickly finishes up, dabs water on her shirt, and comes out of the bathroom.

Hope thanks her for coming over today and they talk about Isaac. Hope thinks that he could be her child, but she wants to hold onto J.T. Marlena slips and says they'll have the answers soon. "What answers?" Hope asks. Marlena says the truth is good, no matter how painful. Hope doesn't want to think about the possibilities; she just wants to hang onto J.T. as long as she can.

Bo is still suspicious of John's intentions, when Hope and Marlena come back downstairs. John and Marlena leave, with John giving reassurances that everything will work out. Bo and Hope are both suspicious of their guests' behavior. Hope worries about J.T., who is now acting sick. Bo reassures her, but Hope, still worried, takes J.T.'s temperature.

2/20 Bo and Hope talk about loving and supporting both of their sons. Bo encourages her that they will get through this as long as they have each other. Suddenly, Hope looks like she is going to faint and everything she sees turns white for an instant. Bo grabs hold of her and helps her over to the couch. She says, “Oh my god, what is that?” She tells him that all of a sudden everything went all white. After she recovers and blames the incident on the stress of John and Marlena's earlier visit. After Bo leaves to get her some water, she has another white out. She is scared and asks, “What is happening to me? Now what!”

John and Marlena get the DNA results that prove that Hope is Isaac's mother. They deduce that Stefano is the father. John doesn't want to tell Bo and Hope until they know for sure. Marlena says there may be another way, doing some detective work and involves breaking some rules.

Marlena is uncomfortable with breaking hospital rules, but they pull the hospital files to find Stefano’s blood type. Finding the results, she wants to tell Hope right away.

Hope has another 'white-out' and describes the sensation as seeing "a sheet of white." Bo wants to call a doctor, but Hope says no, she doesn't feel sick, instead, she feels like she should be remembering something that's blocked from her view.

The doorbell rings, and Bo is disappointed to see John and Marlena announcing they have news. John informs them of the DNA testing that he's been conducting. "Hope, Isaac is yours," Marlena says softly. "But he's not mine," John adds. Bo and Hope are stunned. Hope says, "I'm Isaac's mother," then she realizes that Stefano might be the father. Marlena tells Hope about comparing the blood types for her, Isaac, and Stefano. "There is no way that Stefano is the father of Isaac," she declares to a relieved Hope. As she wonders who the father is, she has another white-out.

2/21 As the truth sinks in, Hope becomes angry about all the time she's been away from her son Isaac. Mickey is there when Glen and Barb arrive for their visit with J.T. Hope privately pleads with Barb to stop Glen from taking J.T. Hope starts crying when she hears J.T. wailing as he's taken out the door.

2/22 Glen plays with JT as Barb and Miss Burns watch on, amazed at how well they are getting along. Barb admits feeling uncomfortable with the whole situation as Miss Burns assures her that she shouldn't feel guilty about her feelings of ambivalence. Barb says that she can see Glen loves his son so much and that she must stand by him and support him through all this. She knows he won’t stop until he gets full custody. To herself, she can't help but wonder what will happen to the Carvers when Glen gets custody of JT as she is sure that the Bradys will go after Isaac.

Hope is a bundle of nerves, constantly checking her watch, waiting for JT to return. Bo tries to talk about taking a vacation, but she is a million miles away, worrying about JT. She worries that if two hours apart from JT is this upsetting, what will happen if she loses him.
