Bo & Hope #50 February 22 - June 20, 2002: 12 hour original edit
DVD #50A 2/22 Hope is very upset as she worries about JT’s visitation with Glenn, but Bo knows that the visit isn't the only think worrying her. She says she has too many things going on right now, and her focus is on JT. She says a part of her heart is with Isaac, but she knows he is with people who love him. She says she can't give up on him either and won't until he is with her as well. She upsets herself, realizing that what she is thinking of doing to the Carvers exactly what is happening to them.
Bo tries to get her to eat, but a knock at the door sends her running to answer it. It's the Reibers with JT. She practically snatches him out of Glen's arms and begins to fawn over him as everyone watches on. They assure them that JT did fine and Miss Burns offers to take him upstairs as the Bradys and Reibers talk. Hope reluctantly agrees as Bo really doesn't want to talk with them. They let them in anyway as Glen chatters on about his visit and how well they did. Hope says that THEY are his family but Glen wants a family as well.
Shawn rushes in, wanting to see JT and asks what THEY are doing there. Glen tells them that he wants to do this again soon. Barb tells Hope that JT is Glen's son and they are going to have to accept it. Hope says that she will NEVER accept it as Glen vows to never leave Salem without JT. As they leave, Hope breaks down in Bo's arms crying "Oh, my God, Bo. We are going to lose him, we are going to lose JT aren't we?"
2/25 Over at the Bradys, Shawn settles down after the Reibers leave. Bo tells him the news about the DNA tests and Isaac actually being his brother. But Shawn doesn't want to think about that right now. They also tell him that John isn't the father. Shawn is confused as Bo and Hope blame Stefano for all the problems. He asks the million dollar question, just WHO is the father? He asks Bo if it is him? Bo WISHES it was, but doesn't see how he could be.
As Hope watches them, has another one of her white outs. After she convinces them that she is okay, they all sit on the sofa and discuss the possibility of losing JT. Shawn wants them all to just take him and run off, but Bo is the voice of reason and promises that they will fight within the law to keep him. He says that they must make Glen realize what is best for JT, but none of them really believe that Glen will back down. Hope talks about how innocent and vulnerable JT is, as are all children.
This segues in to Shawn talking about innocent children and how they shouldn't pay for the sins of their fathers. They question him and he admits he is talking about Jan. Bo explains that she is pregnant. As Shawn explains about talking her out of the abortion and her family situation, Hope is proud of him. She is sure that he will make a good father someday. Then he drops the bomb and tells them that day will be sooner than they think. HE is the father of Jan’s baby.
They both stare at him in shock as Bo asks if he just said the baby was HIS? Shawn says "Yes, I did…" Hope and Bo try to convince Shawn to control his emotions and not do anything drastic where J.T. was concerned. They explained that their only chance was if Glen decided against seeking custody. Shawn finally revealed the shocking lie that he was the father of the baby Jan was carrying.
2/26 At the Bradys', Bo and Hope were stunned to learn that Shawn was the father of Jan's baby. Bo thought he was protecting the real father and asked, "Are you sure that you're the one that got Jan pregnant?" They both wanted to meet with Jan's parents, but Shawn refused. Shawn left, and his parents were angry and worried.
After Shawn left, Hope cried, and Bo couldn't understand why Shawn had had sex with Jan on the island. Hope wouldn't accept that he was the baby's father. Bo wanted to go to Jan's house, but Hope thought Shawn could handle the situation for the moment. She thought Shawn was lying, and Bo said Shawn was not a liar. They wondered about Belle.
Hope eventually had another whiteout but told Bo that she had been remembering curling up on the couch with their family, watching videos. She thought everything was falling apart. "How do we get through this," she asked.
2/28 Hope can't stand it and goes to call Shawn when Abe brings Shawn home. They freak over the cut on Shawn's head and Abe tells them about the charges Mrs. Spears wanted to file. Bo says it's not against the law for consensual sex between underage kids in their state, they have to be 18. Abe knows that, but just wanted to get Shawn away from Mrs. S. as she was so upset. He knows her attorney will tell her that in the morning. They all hug Abe in appreciation and Shawn tells him he's really like a second father to him.
Bo realizes the timing is awkward, but wants to talk about Isaac. Abe tells them he knows what John did, but no one got hurt and Lexie doesn't want to file charges. Bo tells him about the results, that Hope is Isaac's biological mother and John's not the father. Abe is such a gentlemen about it, just states he doesn't know what to say other than he loves his son and doesn't want to lose him. They tell him about Marlena comparing Stefano's blood type and that Stefano is not the father either.
Hope has another white flash while they're talking about that. Shawn notices, but she tells him she's fine. After Abe leaves, Bo asks Shawn about Jan's mother. He tells them how she hit him with a magazine and he tripped on the coffee table and fell. He tells his folks everything is fine, but Bo calmly gives him a reality check about how this will change his life forever, it's NOT fine. Shawn says he has too much on his mind to worry about his future and Bo asks to help him, and tells him they won't abandon him and love him. Shawn tells his parents he loves them too and they all hug. He knows he's doing the right thing. He goes to call Belle.
Hope asks why they're being hit with this all at once and Bo said it's to prove how strong their love is. He'll protect them with everything he has in him. She asks about Isaac and he says he will protect Isaac too. Hope thanks him for never giving up on her and tells him she knows how hard this has been on him and is grateful to wake up with him every morning and she loves him. Their love was written in the stars a long time ago she says. He tells her that he's always loved her, even when they thought she was lost to them forever. They kiss.
3/1 Abe tells Lexie about Isaac’s DNA test results that Bo and Hope told him about. He can tell by her response, that Lexie already knew that Isaac is Hope's baby. Lexie knows that Hope wants her baby back. Lexie doesn’t understand why they would pursue it given they are in the same situation with JT. Her and Abe are good people, and they could always see Isaac, not like with JT when Glenn takes him away. Lexie whines about the unfairness of it all, that they are just doing this so they won’t have an empty crib and why should Lexie be the one with the empty crib.
Abe drops the bomb that John isn't the father. She demands to know who is? Abe is surprised that she really didn’t know. He assures her that Stefano isn't either. She is snarky about Hope not knowing who her baby’s father is. She wonders why her father lied about John, but Abe doesn't have an answer for her. She says she is relived that they don’t know who the father is.
Lexie is furious with Rolf and finds him and Bart in the lab. She demands that he tell her the truth NOW. But Rolf plays dumb and claims he doesn't know who the father is. Rolf continues to claim he doesn't know what happened and reminds her that her father is his employer, not her.
After she storms off, Bart needles Rolf to tell him the truth. Through flashbacks, we see Rolf drop the samples and contaminate them. He explains that since Stefano's test had already proved negative, he just assumed the father was John. Bart demands to know who the daddy is, but Rolf doesn't have a clue!
Upstairs, Hope is keeping vigil over JT as she looks at a picture of her and Lexie and the boys. She can't believe that she never knew in her heart that he was hers. She looks at the picture and asks "Who is your father, Isaac?" As she is looking at the picture, her vision goes completely white. JT wakes up and she tells him that he has two brothers and wants him to get to know both of them.
Roman stops by and Bo explains what is going on with the DNA results, etc. Hope comes down in a melancholy mood. Roman assures them that the entire family is behind them and if they need him, just call. After he leaves, Hope tells Bo that she loves Isaac and wants him as well. She is upset with Lexie over all that she has done lately but wonders how she can take Isaac from her, for she knows she loves him as well.
Hope HAS to know who the father is, then she has flashbacks of Princess Gina dancing at the ball. She wonders just HOW MANY men Gina was with. Bo comforts her and blames Stefano. As she clings to him tight, she tells him she couldn't make it through without him. She also has flashbacks of the day Isaac and JT were born and Bo suggests the switch because JT wasn't the "perfect baby", but Hope is sure that isn't the case.
They talk about the possibility of suing for custody with Hope saying he IS her baby and should be with her. She gets all worked up and desperately wants to see Isaac NOW. She wants to go over to the Carvers and get him tonight. But Bo tells her that they must be patient and follow the rules of the system. But Hope isn't satisfied with that. She wants to hold him. Bo asks if she does that, can she then walk away? She says "No, once I have him in my arms, I will NEVER let him go!"
3/5 Hope looks at a picture of her and Lexie with their babies taken during happier times. She doesn't understand how she could not have known Isaac was hers. She wants to know who the father is and is sure that it couldn't be Bo. Bo talks about his confusion regarding Shawn's situation. Mickey arrives looking grim. He tells the Brady's that he hopes Glen will terminate parental rights after a few more visits, once he realizes all that is involved in taking care of J.T.
Bo fills Mickey in on Shawn's situation and tells him that he doesn't know what Shawn's plans are. Mickey informs them that legally, Shawn can fulfill all the responsibilities of fatherhood without marriage. He then gets a phone call and learns that the judge has ordered that Glen have another supervised visit with J.T. Hope is disappointed, but hopes that Mickey's prediction about Glen not wanting to pursue custody after a few more visits with J.T. will come true.
3/7 Bo and Hope are disturbed when Mickey is much less positive about the custody issue. He tries to prepare them to lose JT. Hope cries about the possibility of losing her baby.
3/12 A saddened Shawn walks into his home, thinking about Belle telling him that their relationship was over. Bo wants to talk and Shawn admits to his father that he made a mess of everything. Bo tells him not to try to handle things alone and suggests that he talk to Mickey. Shawn confesses that he told Belle that he's the father of Jan's baby and that it's killing him to see her hurting.
Bo tells Shawn to level with Belle. He knows that Shawn is trying to save an unborn child, but is not convinced that Shawn is the father. Bo speculates that Shawn is claiming to be the father so that the baby could live. Shawn refuses to admit that he is not the father of the baby, but Bo is not convinced.
Shawn tells his father that he is responsible for the bad stuff that happened on the island. If he wouldn't have gone after the ruby, Paul wouldn't have followed them. He says he wants to give the baby a chance to grow up. Bo agrees that Shawn saved the baby and tells him to take it one day at a time. Shawn holds a picture of Belle and him and says, "Without her, there's nothing."
3/19 Shawn brings Jan home with him and announces to Bo and Hope that Jan needs to stay with them for awhile. Concerned about their situation with J.T., Bo decides to take Shawn out so that Hope can try to get to the bottom of this with Jan. Instead, Jan covers the lie about her baby. Bo advises Shawn that it looks like Glen will get custody of J.T. They stop at Tuscany where Shawn spots Belle with her parents.
3/20 In the Brady kitchen, Jan has made breakfast for everyone. Hope thanks her, and tries to get Jan to open up. When she asks her why Shawn would sleep w/her when he was in love w/Belle, Jan tells her that she is the town tramp and puts out to everyone. Hope is shocked, but Jan says she did not mean that, but it is what people thought of her…and says she was a virgin till she got pregnant.
Upstairs in Shawn’s room, Bo is getting the same kind of evasive conversation from Shawn. He is puzzled as to why Shawn is so worried about JT, but his “own” baby, he is willing to put up for adoption. They go downstairs, and Shawn pulls Jan into another room. Bo and Hope realize something is not right here and want to get to the bottom of it.
3/26 Bo and Hope sit outside and discuss Shawn's lack of concern with Jan and the pregnancy. Hope says it's because it's not real for him yet, and that his attitude will improve with time. They talk about their babies. Hope says she wants boys; the one she gave birth to and the one she is raising. However she feels guilty doing to Abe and Lexie what Glen is doing to their family. Hearing J.T. fuss, they go into the house where Jan asks if she can feed J.T.
After Jan takes the baby into the kitchen, Bo accuses Jan of sucking up to them. Hope admits to him that she does not like Jan. They both say that they will support their son. Bo says they can support Shawn without having to like it. Hope speaks of the irony of the two teens having a baby that was unplanned and unwanted while Abe and Lexie waited so long for a baby that isn't their to keep. They receive a phone call that Glen would like to have an overnight visit with J.T. that very night. Hope is very upset by this. Bo gently reminds her that the law is in favor of the biological parent; it may work against them in regards to J.T. but it will work for them with Isaac.
Hope comes to realize that no matter what happens, there won't be a happy ending. She decides to proceed with trying to get custody of Isaac. Seeing them looking so sad and holding each other, Jan fears that they want her to leave. Hope tells her she can stay for as long as she needs to. They ask if she and Shawn have discussed the future. Jan says that she hopes the baby will bring her and Shawn closer. Bo mentions that Shawn has talked about adoption and Jan tells him that after seeing Shawn and J.T. together she's not sure if that is still the best idea. After Jan leaves, Hope says that things are getting more complicated every day.
Lexie tells Cameron that money is no object in the battle to keep Isaac, which pleases the lawyer very much. She plans to dig up as much dirt as possible in order to discredit Bo and Hope in court. Abe is not happy with this, but continues to listen. Cameron says that she plans to paint Hope as a sex addict and mentions that Shawn got a young girl pregnant and this is not a healthy environment for Isaac to be raised in.
Abe is furious! He accuses the lawyer of playing fast and loose with the law. He says she was once an excellent attorney, but became too greedy. He throws her out of the house. Lexie is upset with Abe for firing Cameron. He tells her that she is no longer the woman he married, but someone he finds disgusting. Lexie vows to fight to the bitter end to keep Isaac.
Abe realizes that Lexie knew from the very beginning that Isaac was Hope's child! He tells her that she is not the woman he married and she disgusts him. Cameron planned on ruining the lives of their closet friends and she has destroyed her marriage to Abe. He blames her that everything they are going through is because of her, all the lying and scheming. He accuses her of not knowing how to love. He can’t believe he would take one of the worst things that has ever happened to Hope and use it against her.
He tells her that this isn’t a mother’s love but down right evil, that his love for her blinded him to what is really going on. She does not deserve to keep Isaac, she does not deserve to be anyone’s mother. He says he has been blind to what she is up to but it stops now. He says that if Isaac grew up to be like her that he couldn’t live with that. He says that she has become something he doesn’t recognize and if she keeps on acting this way it will be over for them.
4/2 Glen, Barb and the social worker arrive to pick up JT. Bo gives them the bag they prepared with clothes, food and toys. Barb comments they had stopped by for some toys for JT to play with on the way over and Hope comes downstairs with JT. Bo hugs the two of them and says it's time. She hugs JT and reluctantly hands him to Glen. She confirms his medicine needs and tells them the Dr.'s pager number is in his bag. Barb assures Hope nicely he'll be okay as does the social worker.
As they walk away, Bo holds Hope asking what he can do to make it better for her. She wants him to lie that there's no doubt they'll get custody of JT, but knows he can't. She urges him to go back to work. They need to resume normal activities. She has laundry to do, but tells him the hardest time will be bedtime when JT won't be in the next room.
He promises to be there for her, now and always. He kisses her goodbye with orders to call if she needs him. She puts away clothes in JT's nursery and breaks down while looking at his empty crib. She looks at a dual framed picture of JT and one of them flashes, disappears and a picture of Isaac is there. Hope rushes out of the room saying she has to get out of there.
Bo and Abe both show up at the PD, admitting they both got kicked out. Bo wants to talk with Abe about how Lexie's in over her head on this. He asks Abe if he knows what Lexie is up to. Abe vents, then apologizes. Bo tells him how JT is spending the night with the Reibers. Abe feels for his friend as Bo goes on about he knows they're going to lose JT to the Reibers for good. He asks how long it'll be before Hope comes after Isaac after she loses JT?
Celeste and Lexie go to dot.Com. Lexie dashes to a dark alley and meets The Intruder reporter and gives him all the info on Bo and Hope Brady that they don't want anyone else to know. While Lexie is busy betraying her BFF, Hope holds Isaac, reuniting son and mother for the first time since Hope found out the truth.
After Lexie rushes out of dotCom, Hope approaches the door. She sees a white gloved magical hand open the door for her and wonders what's going on with her. She walks in and sees Isaac, her son, with Celeste. She greets Celeste and welcomes her home. As Celeste tells her about her trip to the Himalayas, Hope looks at Isaac. Celeste asks if she's okay and Hope tells her she hasn't slept well lately and asks her to get her a cup of tea and she'll watch the baby. Celeste agrees and Hope picks Isaac up out of the stroller and hugs him.
4/5 Abe snaps at Bo because of all his questions and accusations. Bo apologizes, telling Abe that he is tense because he knows that they are soon going to lose custody of J.T. to Glen. Bo also lets it be known that he and Hope plan on trying for custody of Isaac. Abe admits that he cannot blame Hope for wanting the baby she gave birth to. He voices concern for Lexie's reaction to losing the child she has wanted for so long.
Bo wonders if the baby switch was an innocent mistake, or if it was an intended act. Once again Bo mentions that he thinks Stefano had something to do with it. Abe warns that Lexie will never turn on her father. Nor will she give up on Isaac. Bo asks Abe if he is certain that there is no evidence against Stefano being involved in the baby switch, and if he's certain Lexie had nothing to do with it. Abe becomes very angry. Bo asks Abe if he could forgive Lexie if it turns out she was involved in the switch in any way. Abe doesn't answer.
At Dot.Com, Hope bonds with Isaac. Lexie becomes almost hysterical when Celeste tells her she was the one to let hope hold the baby. Lexie causes a big scene knocking people out of her way to where Hope and Isaac are sitting. Lexie demands Isaac back, and Hope refuses. Celeste attempts to break up the fight, not understanding why the two women are so upset. Hope suggests Lexie tell her mother what is going on before someone else does.
The police arrive after being summoned by the management at Dot.Com. The officers recognize the women as being married to Abe and Bo. Hope announces that Isaac is her baby and that Lexie has stolen him from her. Abe and Bo show up at Dot.Com. Celeste asks Abe if what Hope is saying (about Isaac being her baby) is true. Abe quickly explains the situation to her. Abe firmly but gently asks for the baby to be returned to Lexie. Hope refuses. Bo tries to reason with Hope telling her that they have to handle things in a legal manner. Hope still refuses, so Bo is forced to remove the baby from her arms. Just as she loosens her grip on Isaac, she sees the flash of white light again.
4/8 Hope fumes as Bo reports that the media has latched onto the baby switch story. Glen then brings J.T. back, covered by a blanket to protect him from the annoying photographers who may be outside. He also announces that he's seeking full custody of his son. Shawn and Hope fall apart upon hearing the news. Bo urges them to be strong. As she takes J.T. upstairs, Hope suffers from another flash of white light. Bo considers telling Hope about the light he saw at Dot.Com but decides not to burden her anymore. Mickey calls later and explains that they are to meet with the judge this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Abe is furious to see the morning newspaper headlines and wonders aloud to a guilt-ridden Lexie who could have the leaked the story to the press.
4/10 Lexie brags to Rolf that he would have been proud of her for turning the dirt on Bo and Hope over to the tabloid reporter. She brags by the time she is finished, Bo and Hope wouldn’t be able to get custody of a pet rock!
Craig catches up with Lexie and tells him of her plan to sue the hospital over its "lax nursery security". Craig lets her know in no uncertain terms that he strongly suspects her involvement, as she being a doctor has very detailed knowledge of hospital procedure. She turns on the tears and tries to play the distraught mom but Craig isn't buying it.
Bo and Hope prepare to leave for court. They try unsuccessfully to make Shawn see that this could be their last time together as a family, but Shawn is in denial. Bo realizes that Hope is too when she tries to convince them that J.T. will always be with them. They send the boys to Mrs. Horton's house as they head for the courthouse.
Bo, Hope, Glen and Barb all show up at the court house with their lawyers. Cameron takes one last shot at trying to talk Glen out of pursuing custody of J.T. Glen insists he wants his son. Before Cameron can say anything else they are all summoned into the courtroom. The judge briefly discusses the merits of both parents, then informs everyone that custody has been awarded to Glen and Barb!
Hope argues with the judge, which doesn't help. The judge orders a custody plan be arranged to make the transition easier for J.T. Bo and Hope also find out that Glen and Barb plan on moving to Iowa. Hopes rages against the decision to both Bo and Mickey. The two men do their best to make her see what dragging this out will do to J.T. Hope weeps over the destruction of her family. Bo tells Mickey to go ahead and file the papers seeking custody of Isaac. Hope again sees the white flash of light.
4/12 Abe and Lexie are served with papers informing them of Hope's intention to sue for custody of Isaac.
Bo and Hope arrive at Mrs. Horton to tell Shawn the judge's decision. He is upset to begin with and becomes worse when they tell him Glen and Barb will be moving to Iowa with J.T. Bo tells Shawn that they plan on suing for custody of Isaac. Shawn lashes out, accusing his mother of trying to replace J.T. with Isaac. He tells his parents that he has no interest in Isaac.
Hope sternly tells her son that both of the babies are his brothers equally. Bo tells his son that he knows it's painful, but they will get through all of this together. Shawn tells his parents he can't stand by and watch them "give away" J.T. and storms out. After Hope asks Bo to go look for their son, she sees the white light again. Mrs. Horton tries to reassure Hope.
After a shower, Jan trips while walking down the steps and falls down the stairs! Sometime later, Bo returns home to an unconscious Jan.
4/15 Hope arrives at the hospital and is filled in on what happened to Jan. Hope pages Shawn and she and Bo wait and worry to find out what is happening. They try to convince Colin to fill them in, but he refuses on the grounds of doctor patient confidentiality. He cryptically tells them to talk to their son.
This angers Bo and Hope, because it's obvious Colin knows much more than he's letting on. Bo begins to argue with the doctor, but Colin is called away. Shawn gets to the hospital thinking there is a problem with J.T. His parents fill him in on Jan's accident. Colin comes out and informs the Bradys that they were unable to save Jan's baby. Bo and Hope try to console Shawn, but he freaks out and runs from the hospital.
4/16 Bo and Hope become even more worried about Shawn's state of mind when Doug and Julie arrive, having no luck finding Shawn anywhere. Bo goes to look for him while Doug and Julie stay to comfort Hope. She fills them in on her mysterious flashes of white and Doug comments that she and Bo have always been good at solving mysteries; they have to solve this one and find out who Isaac's father is.
Bo finds Shawn in church (grieving over losing Belle) and tries to reason with him, but to no avail. He gives Shawn a letter from Pepperdine, but Shawn could care less. He doesn't want to go home, but Bo reminds him that they only have a short time left with JT, which convinces Shawn that he needs to be there for his little brother.
Abe is stunned as he looks over the legal papers that indicate Bo and Hope's intent to sue for legal custody of Isaac. Lexie tells him that she has already called Cameron. Abe warns her that she knows he doesn’t want Cameron involved. Lexie tells him that she doesn’t give a damn!
4/18 Bo and Hope do some shopping while Doug and Julie babysit unseen. Bo and Hope stop at Java cafe for a cup of coffee (note the convenient bags on the chair in front of Hope's stomach). Roman stops by and they admit being worried about Shawn. Bo tells him about how devastated Shawn was when he found him in church last night and they're all praying for a miracle to keep JT. Hope wants to join Shawn at the hospital, but Bo feels they should respect Shawn's wishes to visit Jan alone. Hope feels for the baby who didn't stand a chance, but Bo quotes Mrs. H. that the baby is now safe in God's arms.
Hope admits being so wrapped up with everything she hadn't thought what Abe and Lexie are going through after getting the papers served to them the night before. She feels for them as at least they have Shawn but they won't have any other children left. Bo tells her Isaac belongs with his birth mother. They talk about JT and how much they love him. She changes the subject and tells him about the white flashes she's having. He pauses and admits he's had them too.
Roman and Caroline stop by Bo and Hope's table and Caroline offers her help and prayers. They leave and B&H are thankful for their family. Wanting to make the most of their time with JT, they decide to take him to the zoo. She took him there a couple weeks ago on her own and he loved the monkeys.
4/23 Lexie met with the tabloid writer, who gave Lexie his card and begged for more dirt. As the meeting ended, Lexie dropped the card.
Bo and Hope were trying to enjoy a day at the zoo with JT. Hope asks if he thinks that JT will remember all of this? Bo says he will remember that they love him. Bo asked if Hope had experienced any more white flashes? She said no, but wondered out loud if they held the key to the identity of Isaac's father.
John Black walked up and said, "I know." Well, it turned out he didn't know exactly, but he pulled out the chip he removed from Hope at Lexie's party. He says that if the chip is reinserted that it is possible that Hope will remember everything, including who Isaac’s father is. Bo is opposed and tells him to stay away from Hope!
John told Bo and Hope that he had the chip analyzed by a top scientific lab. Unfortunately, they couldn't trace it to Stefano, nor could they tell much about it, besides the fact that the technology was vastly superior to anything they'd ever seen. John suggested re-implanting the chip in Hope to see if she could remember anything. Bo was very much against it. John assured that if he say any personality change that they could stop, Hope seemed interested.
Bo asked to see the chip, then he dropped it on the ground and crushed it with his shoe. John freaked out, but Bo said, "Gina's dead and gone, I just made sure of that." Bo told John in no uncertain terms that he would handle things on his own.
As Bo and Hope discussed their hopes for a miracle with JT, and their fears that Lexie, "made a deal with the devil," a commotion erupted. The tabloid had just come out with Hope's picture on the cover, and a sordid account of the baby situation. John read the article out loud, and it made Hope sound like a tramp, somehow unaware of who the father of her child was, despite being married.
It recounted her having slept with John, and implied she slept with someone else, but didn't even remember who it was. As they all gasped and wondered who could have done such a thing, they noticed Lexie standing there with the most evil grin you've ever seen, loving every minute of it. Hope said incredulously, "You...you did this!"
Dvd #50B 4/24 Lexi questions if they thought it would be easy to take her child away from her? She promises to fight to the death to keep her son and will do whatever it takes! Lexie doesn’t deny that she did it, but does not admitting it either. She announces her dissolution of friendship for John, Bo and Hope and does not want to see the three of them again.
Hope states that Isaac is HER biological son and she's going to get him back to raise as her own. If she finds out Lexie was responsible for that article, she won't have to worry about John coming after her as she'll tear her apart herself. Lexie storms off and Hope apologizes to Abe for his being caught in the middle. Bo and Hope ask John to leave them alone to digest what's going on. Hope tells Bo she has to remember who fathered her baby.
Hope reads the story in the tabloid and is devastated, breaking down in front of Jan and Shawn before falling asleep next to J.T. Asleep, Hope dreams of being in Paris and staring at John and then a mystery man with a painted white face. Suddenly, a third man grabs her.
Upstairs, Hope looks at Isaac's picture and has a brief flash of her and John, not understanding why. The DNA proved he wasn't Isaac's father. She falls asleep remembering the picture of her and John and to herself, she asks Isaac who his daddy is? She falls asleep in bed and dreams in black and white of John coming and implanting the memory chip to do so.
She remembers Gina and then finds herself in a foggy area where John, in a tux, joins her. She tells him the DNA proved he wasn't the father and he leaves. A man in a white mask joins her and she asks him who he is and if he's the father, but he walks away. Then another man walks to her, this one we only see a white gloved hand (he passed a sign for the Louvre) then touches her shoulder. She turns and looks in his face (we don't see it) says, “You”.
4/25 Hope says, “You” out loud while waking up and Bo's there saying, it's him (not knowing what she's referring to). She tells him she knows she wasn't talking about him in her dream and asks how Shawn handled the newspaper article. They talk about Lexie and Hope realizes how the celebrities feel when they see their face in the tabloids with false stories about them.
Bo is more worried about her and that she has closure and peace of mind about this. He observes that god placed JT with her as he needed her, and she saved his life. Saying all the right things to bring her comfort, he lets her know she is what's important right now. She thanks him and they hug. He tells her they have to be strong and reuniting her with Isaac is the most important thing right now.
They take JT downstairs and Mickey arrives with more bad news. Mickey tells them the judge signed the final papers giving Glen full custody and social services will be by tomorrow to get him. Hope freaks and starts collecting JT's things saying they have to take him and run. Bo calms her down and explains they have to do this. Mickey feels bad it ended this way and heads back to his office. Bo tries to comfort Hope by reminding her how she was put in JT's life for a while and now it's time to let him go. Hope's sobbing, but Bo promises that together they'll find the strength to get through this.
4/26 At the DiMera mansion, Lexie calls the reporter and tells him good work and she has more for him and arranges a meeting. Abe and Lexie argue about her actions recently. She wants to fight dirty in order to keep Isaac and Abe wants to do things "by the book." Abe tells Lexie she'll only live to regret her actions. After making an excuse to leave, Lexie meets up with the tabloid reporter. She gives him more info on Bo and Hope. Abe follows Lexie and stops the transaction.
Back at the mansion, the couple has a huge blowout. Abe asks Lexie point blank if she was involved in the baby switch, and tells her that he'll arrest her personally if it turns out she was. Lexie says that there is no limit to what she is willing to do in order to maintain custody of Isaac. Abe tells Lexie that he's leaving and taking Isaac with him. She freaks and begs him not to. Then she threatens him with her security staff and reminds him not to test her. He sadly says that he already did test her and she failed.
Bo tells Shawn to tone down his anger surrounding J.T.'s leaving. He urges his son to make the most of the little time they have left with J.T. They want the last memories to be happy ones, and do their best to make to make sure that it works out that way. Hope again sees the white light (and now the gloved hand) during dinner. After dinner, the Brady's gather in J.T's nursery for their final night with him.
4/29 The Bradys awaken on the morning of their last day with J.T. During a quiet moment with his brother, Shawn struggles not to break down. Hope begins to come apart making breakfast, Bo hold her and tells her to take it one minute at a time. Jennifer and Roman arrive to be with all of them. Bo confides to Roman that he's not sure how long he'll be able to be strong for his family.
During a family breakfast there is a bittersweet moment when J.T. says "brother" for the first time. Things get tense when Jennifer offers to call the family and Hope requests that John be invited as well. Bo does not want John there. Jennifer tries to get Shawn to open up to her. They discuss Belle and Jennifer warns Shawn not to be so quick in giving up on his relationship with Belle. She urges him to call.
When alone, Hope tells Bo that having John there isn't about their past together, it's about being able to say goodbye to J.T. Sadly, Roman announces that child services will be there at 2:00pm with Glen and Barb to pick up J.T.
5/1 Scenes from a special episode - entire show was set in the Brady living room as the Hortons and Bradys all gather to support Bo and Hope as they have to give up their baby. As Jennifer helps Hope pack up J.T's things she notices that it's one o'clock. Glen and Barb are due to arrive at 2:00. Bo and Roman assist them with the heavier items as they try to lighten the mood of the two women.
In the kitchen, Shawn tries to feed J.T. Hearing a knock at the kitchen door, Shawn worries that Glen and Barb have come early, but it turns out to be Doug and Julie who've come to be with the family. Mickey and Maggie also arrive.
In the living room, Bo again tells Roman he's not sure how much longer he'll be able to keep himself together for the sake of his family. Roman tells his brother that he doesn't need to be so tough; it's okay to express emotion.
Marlena and John arrive having fought their way through the throng of reporters at the front door. Shawn is not at all pleased to see John. John offers to leave, but Bo insists he stay put. Bo tries to make Shawn see that John deserves to be there with J.T. He says that they owe John a huge debt of gratitude, as he was there to see Hope and J.T. through many a crisis while Bo was off in Ireland.
Marlena tries to talk with Shawn but he brushes her off causing Bo to have to step in and calm his son again. He urges Shawn to be as positive as possible for J.T.’s sake. Shawn Sr. and Caroline arrive to join the family. Mickey expresses the guilt that he feels and Hope tells him that it isn't his fault that things turned out the way that they have. Bo turns to the clock and sees that it's 1:15.
The Horton /Brady clan gather in the living room to play with J.T. Hope shares with everyone the baby book she has made for Glen and Barb so that they won't feel too badly that they missed out on the first couple years of J.T.'s life.
Shawn lashes out at Caroline when she mentions his college acceptance. He announces to everyone that he is not going to college. Caroline suggests to Shawn that he not give up on life so easily. She says that she refuses to believe that Glen and Barb will cut off all contact, and that someday a grown J.T. may come looking for Shawn. She urges Shawn to become a man that J.T. will be proud of. Caroline glances at the clock, it's now approaching 1:35.
Shawn Sr. offers a prayer of thanks to God for allowing J.T. to be such an important part of their lives, even if it was for such a brief period of time. Shawn is angry and all but renounces his faith. Caroline does her best to sooth her grandson and restore his faith. Mickey then reads aloud a passage from the Bible.
At 1:40 there is a knock at the door. Bo opens it to see Glen and Barb standing there. They apologize for being early. The couple are happily surprised that Bo and hope are giving them so many of J.T's things. Barb tells everyone that the baby she is expecting will be a boy. Shawn is a little stung by the fact that J.T. is going to have another brother.
Glen, Barb and Hope all have a tearful moment when Hope acknowledges that every moment of happiness she's had with J.T. was one of Glen missing him. Hope then shares with them all of J.T.'s recent accomplishments. Bo then gives them all the medical info they will need for J.T.'s FAS. Glen and Barb reassure all that J.T. will be well loved and looked after. When Glen asks to hold his son, Bo takes J.T. from a reluctant Shawn and Hope. Seconds later J.T. begins to cough and choke. Everyone panics, but Glen quickly comes to his son's aid.
A grateful Glen says that he is well aware that J.T. owes his life to the Bradys. He is thankful that they were there to see his son through his first years and that he will never let J.T. forget them. He extends an open invitation to the entire family to come and see J.T. any time they would like. When Hope offers the baby book to them, Glen refuses it explaining that he could never take away their memories. He also announces that he and Barb have no intention of changing J.T.'s name, but merely wants to add his own on the end.
After a final hug and cuddle from Hope, Bo and Shawn Glen takes J.T. in his arms as they say their final goodbyes. Glen and Barb leave through the back door as to avoid the reporters out front. Watching them leave Hope breaks down. Later in the evening after everyone is gone, Shawn sits in the yard among his brother's toys and Hope sits in the nursery. Bo, alone in the basement, can no longer contain his emotions. Series of scenes set to a music montage.
5/2 Rolf is upset to hear that Lexi is moving back to Abe’s. He calls Cameron, anxious to stop Lexie. Celeste has a vision of Isaac’s crib being empty and he is gone! Cameron arrives with fake papers and claims that Lexie must give up Isaac in 48 hours. The plan works and Lexie decides to leave town with Isaac.
Determined to help his depressed wife, Bo approaches Abe and asks if he'll hand over Isaac. Abe states that they won't give up Isaac until they are legally required to do so.
5/3 Rolf gives Lexie travel documents, a cell phone and directions to a private landing strip where a plane is waiting to take them to Stefano. Lexie heads out of town with Isaac. The cops that Abe has following Lexie call and alert him that she is leaving Salem. He makes arrangements for Lexie to be stopped and leaves the house telling Celeste that he needs to make things "right."
Bo tries to get Hope to come out of the nursery, but she refuses. After a little cajoling, Hope comes down to the living room. Bo gets her to open up to him about the dreams she's been having. He tries to press her to remember more, but she becomes agitated and wants to go back to the nursery. He talks her out of it for now. The phone rings, and it's Roman informing them that Lexie is trying to leave Salem with Isaac. They leave the house in hot pursuit of Lexie.
5/6 Bo and Hope show up at the police station to find out what is going on. Abe apologizes to everyone and tells Hope that she'll have her son back soon. Roman promises that they will do everything in their power to stop Lexie from leaving Salem with Isaac. The officer tailing Lexie radios in to the office and Abe and Roman warm him that Lexie is an ex-cop who will figure out she's being followed very easily.
Shortly afterwards, Officer Smith reports that Lexie has spotted him and is trying to get away. Roman tells the officer that he's to keep up with her and pull her over at the city limits. An upset Hope wants her pulled over right away. Roman tells the officer to pull Lexie over right away, but that is impossible. She has managed to evade him. He sees tire tracks on the road that lead to a boulder, but there is nothing else.
Roman orders the officer to back track, and when he does, he spots the car. When Officer Smith pulls the car over, he finds Bart dressed in drag! An APB is put out on Lexie and Bart is hauled in for questioning. Roman and Abe are scrambling to figure out what Lexie is up to and do not notice Hope is gone until Bo points it out.
In the car, Lexie is following the directions Rolf gave her. He calls her on the cell phone and tells her that she has to stay in motion until the helicopter arrives for her. She lets him know that she is being followed. He takes matters into his own hands and summons Bart. He gives Bart instructions and sends him off to help Lexie.
He advises Lexie to keep driving down the road she is on. She is concerned because there is a boulder in the road, but he insists she drive straight towards it. It's a tunnel! She calls Rolf back once she is inside. He gives her detailed instructions and tells her to follow them exactly. When an officer pulls over Lexie’s car, it is instead Bart dressed to impersonate her.
5/8 Lexie ends up at the pier waiting for a boat to pick up her and Isaac. There is a noise behind her, and Lexie turns to see Hope standing there. Hope demands her son back. Hope demands Lexie hand over Isaac but she refuses. Rolf comes to Lexie's rescue and uses chloroform to knock out Hope. They try to figure out the next step but Bo arrives, forcing them to flee separately while Bo tends to his dazed wife. Brandon and Jennifer run into Bo and Hope. Colin gives Hope a cursory exam and then she runs to the station house to confront Abe.
5/9 Bo and Hope wonder where Shawn is as Roman joins them. They ponder where Lexie would go and Hope has an idea. She figures Celeste would hide her daughter, but Roman knows Celeste has been at the Carver house all afternoon and it's under surveillance. Bo goes somewhere and Hope and Roman talk about how Bo's affected by all this.
She knows Bo's going to make a wonderful father for Isaac and after saying that, has a white flash of the gloved hand. It dawns on Hope that Lexie would turn to Brandon Walker. Shawn arrives and Hope is happy to see him.
Bo goes to see Victor. Victor is always happy to see his son and asks him to sit down. Bo apologizes for always needing help when he sees him and Victor asks what's wrong and he's always there for him. Bo tells him and Victor knows just who to call. Victor talks to someone and learns about a hidden airstrip on the other side of town that drug runners use. Bo thanks him and tells Victor he owes him and heads out.
Lexie begs Brandon to help her, she is just trying to keep her son. Brandon tells her that Hope won’t give up until she finds her son. Lexie corrects him that he is HER son, not Hope’s! Brandon warns her that if she runs that she will become more like her father, isolated and hated. He points out this can’t be the kind of future she wants for her little boy.
Lexie is talking with Brandon as Abe knocks on the door. She softly begs Brandon to not give them away. He asks Abe what Lexie has done? He denies knowing where Lexie is, so Abe walks in saying he won't mind if he looks around then. Abe heads to the balcony and looks out as he sees Brandon looking nervously in that direction. Lexie sees Abe on the balcony from the bathroom.
Brandon tries to get Abe out of there, but they hear a noise from the bedroom. They find Nicole standing in there. She said she thought she heard a noise in the bedroom and was checking it out as the door was open. Abe even looks under the bed as Brandon enjoys telling Abe he was wrong. Meanwhile Lexie is hiding on the fire escape. She slips once, but catches herself and gets down on the ground. She hides behind boxes behind Java cafe when she hears something, it's Shawn on his way to the police station. A cat runs out and Shawn keeps going.
The two officers arrive and they leave with Abe, as he calls Brandon a jerk. In the elevator, Abe instructs them to follow Brandon and keep an eye on him. Lexie calls Rolf telling him where she is. Later she and Isaac are driving through Salem with Rolf.
Abe calls Roman from Salem Place. He got a lead someone saw Lexie there. Bo rushes in and tells them about the tip at the airstrip and he and Hope rush off to check it out.
5/10 Mickey delivers custody papers to Abe, granting Bo and Hope full custody. He also has a warrant for Lexie’s arrest. John calls an air traffic controller he knows to find out the exact location the helicopter is headed for. He isn't given any helpful information and fears it is too late.
Rolf is driving a disguised Lexie to the airstrip. He is re-assuring her that things will work out smoothly, when they spot Bo and Hope following them. Rolf does his best to shake Bo and Hope, but the gap between them is closing. Lexie is panicking, but Rolf has another trick up his sleeve.
Suddenly Bo and Hope's truck veers off the road. Rolf and Lexie get away. The truck is useless, so Bo and Hope give chase on foot. Rolf gets Lexie and Isaac to the airstrip. Lexie begins to have doubts, but tells herself it's all for Isaac. The chopper approaches just as Bo and Hope are nearing the airstrip.
5/13 Abe insists on personally handling Lexie's arrest even though Roman tells him it's not necessary. John tries to get air traffic control to ground the chopper for any reason at all. Frustrated, John calls in his own backup.
Inside the stables where Rolf has set up headquarters, he argues with the chopper pilot. The pilot is afraid of getting caught and wants to bail. Rolf threatens him. They are interrupted when Bo comes looking in the stables.
Lexie is hiding in the bushes with Isaac as they wait for the chopper to pick them up. Hope is standing just in front of them. Isaac makes a sound and almost gives their hiding spot away. Rolf knocks out Bo and ties him up. Rolf orders the pilot to try one more time to get Lexie and Isaac, the pilot refuses, as he can see the police heading to the scene. Rolf decides to leave as well.
Lexie tries to escape but Hope stops her. They argue over Isaac. Lexie puts Isaac down thinking that the chopper is coming, but in the seconds it flies overhead Isaac runs off! Hope and Lexie search for him. Bo manages to untie himself, and he is the one who finds Isaac. He hands the boy over to Hope. He holds Lexie back as the police arrive.
As Lexie is searched she is informed of the fact that custody has been granted to Bo and Hope. She is arrested by Abe. Lexie is taken away absolutely hysterical. Hope is upset at seeing Lexie, but is glad to have her baby back. Bo admits to Roman and John that someone had to be helping Lexie. Everyone is curious about John's "connections", but he is evasive. Roman offers his car to Bo to take his family home.
In the car, Hope is thrilled to hear Isaac say "momma" until she realizes he is asking for Lexie. Abe takes a broken Lexie to her cell. They don't speak a word. After Abe leaves, Lexie cries over the loss of Isaac. Back in his office, Abe does the same.
5/15 Hope dreams again as Bo comes in to check on her. Shawn looks into the baby’s room, but keeps on walking. He goes into his parent’s room and tells them, “That kid is awake.” Bo brings Isaac into bed with Hope. She tells him that very soon he will get used to them and maybe even like them. Isaac starts to say, “Mama mama”.
Hope gets a bit weepy thinking of JT missing Hope and crying for her like Isaac is for Lexie. Bo tells her that he talked to Glenn and said JT is doing just fine and reminds her that they can go see him whenever she wants. Bo gives her a Mother’s Day present. It is her locket, but now it has two pictures in it of both of her babies. She kisses him and tells him that it is the perfect gift.
Hope tells Bo that if they can go to Paris, that it might jog her memories. She can’t stand the not knowing and fears that Isaac’s father will show up some day and she can’t go through this again. He agrees and tells her he will figure out how to get the time off. Bo gets a mysterious call from his mother, who is planning a surprise party at the pub. He tells her he will handle it, but then says it won’t be easy after he hangs up (meaning getting Hope there).
Lexie is released on bail. As she is signing her release paperwork, she overhears two officers talking about the big celebration at the Brady Pub. Cameron informs Abe that Lexie entered a not guilty plea and Stefano paid her bail. She asks Abe if he would testify on Lexie’s behalf. Lexie declares she doesn’t want nor need Abe’s help, as he abandoned her and his son. He reminds her that Isaac is with Bo and Hope now. She screams at him to get away from her.
Bo and Hope enter the pub carrying Issac and as their friends and family yell surprise. Pop Brady raises his glass in a toast to the family and friends who are stronger because of their struggles. Pop welcomes another Brady into the family, just as Victor walks in the door and everyone gets quiet. Pop walks over to Shawn as everyone looks on in dread. He surprises the room when he puts his arm around Victor and raises his glass in a toast to him. He informs everyone that a tip from Victor is what found the baby. Bo does his own thank yous.
Hope tells Victor that she is having the same dream set in Paris and she thinks going there will trigger her memory. He offers them the Titan jet, and Doug and Julie offer to join them and take care of the baby while they are investigating as they don’t want to leave him. Alice says she will stay with Shawn D while they are gone. Just as the plans are set, everyone is stunned to see Lexie walk in.
She demands that she just wants to see her baby. She screams, “Where is my baby?” She yells at Hope for being such a great friend that she can’t even look her in the eye, as she knows what she has done to her. Roman asks Lexie to just let this go. She shakily says she wants to know where her son is? Roman tells her the baby is sleeping upstairs. She breaks down sobbing that she just wants to hold her baby in her arms. Roman puts his arm around her and tells her that this is no good.
5/17 Hope and Bo spend a romantic evening in Paris as Hope tries to recall the man who is Isaac's father. She has another vision. Hope tells Bo that she didn't see the man's face, but she is positive that the man she is seeing is Isaac's father. Bo suggests to her that maybe the small part of her memory that is still "Gina" doesn't want her to remember.
Hope tells Bo that she feels guilty for being so far away from Isaac after missing so much of his life so far. Bo apologizes to his wife for rejecting J.T. when he was first born, and not being there for the family. He vows that he will always be there for Isaac no matter what.
Dvd #50C As the two dance and talk, they are being watched by someone who does not want to be seen by them. As they are dancing, Hope spots a mime that triggers a vision. Suddenly everything comes flooding back and Hope remembers something.
5/20 Hope remembers that Bo was a mime in Paris during the time she was there as "Gina." Bo has a hard time seeing "Gina" being interested in a lowly mime. She has another memory of him as the mime, he again dismisses it. Hope gets an idea and runs off, leaving Bo to follow after her. She is almost hit by a car, but Bo manages to save her in time. She tells him they have to go to the place that the rest of her memories will be recovered. They end up at the pier. Hope tries to remember anything. Hope is getting frustrated when she suddenly has another memory. She blurts out" It was you Bo."
Rolf tells Lexie to prepare herself because in order to have Isaac back someone will have to die. She doesn't have a problem with this until he tells her it has to be Isaac! Lexie freaks out and refuses. He further explains that he only wants to fake the boy's death. If everyone believes the child is dead she'd be able to leave the country without arousing any suspicion, and live with Isaac happily ever after.
Lexie is not keen on this idea but Rolf tells her he will handle everything. Lexie has concerns about the drug; Rolf tells her it is perfectly safe. As proof he tests it on Bart. Rolf gives Bart a drink laced with the serum. Bart collapses to the floor. A panicked Lexie administers CPR and demands Rolf call 911. Rolf points out that Bart is coming out of it on his own. Rolf asks for permission to carry out his plan. Lexie tells him no way will she be a part of this. After she leaves, he says that he intends to go through with it anyway.
5/21 At the DiMera mansion, Abe tells Lexie there is only one way to move on with her life. He wanted her to turn her back on Stefano DiMera once and for all. He points out that Stefano is the reason she is facing criminal charges and the reason they have lost their son. She refused, insisting Stefano had nothing to do with the baby switch. Abe could only laugh at that absurd statement.
Abe doesn’t understand her actions but she asks what he expected her to do when she received the court order with only 48 hours to turn over her baby. He informs her that the court order to give up custody of Isaac came after the kidnapping, not before. Lexie, shocked to the core, remembered Cameron giving her the document before the kidnapping, in effect giving her no choice but to flee with her son.
Just then, Cameron walked in the door. Lexie screamed at her, shouting, "How could you!" Cameron played dumb, saying she assumed the documents were real. Abe threatened her severely, telling her that he would do everything in his power to have her disbarred.
Then Abe turned to Lexie and told her it was obviously Stefano who was behind the false documents. He declared forcefully, "Until you wash your hands of Stefano DiMera, I'm washing my hands of you. It's over!" Then, he stormed out. Lexie, still upset about the phony court order, yelled at Rolf to come talk to her. Cameron took the opportunity to scurry away.
Rolf defended his actions and told Lexie that all was not lost. He produced a vial of liquid that would make Isaac seem dead long enough to fool everyone. Then they could pay off the coroner, steal Isaac away as he woke up, and flee the country with Hope and Bo none the wiser. Lexie refused the plan, saying she could never hurt her baby, even if he would only be dead temporarily.
Across the world, in the beautiful city of Paris, Bo and Hope continued the search for clues as to the identity of Isaac's father. They arranged to stay at the cottage Hope lived in when she was Gina. At the house, Bo explained to Hope the things he did to try to get her to remember him. Back then, he showed her a picture of Shawn, and she in turn invited him to stay. However, she then drugged Bo, but when he woke, she was taking care of him. Hope remembered receiving the poison with instructions to turn Bo into Stefano's pawn.
Bo suddenly realized that what he remembered as a blackout was actually missing time. For the first time, he was fully able to understand how Hope felt about her days as Princess Gina. This prompted more memories for Hope. She remembered wiping off the make-up from the face of the mime she sometimes saw in her flashbacks. As the make-up came off, it was clear that the mime was Bo. Hope (as Gina) said, "I love you, Brady," and Bo, dressed as the mime, replied, "Fancy face." Hope felt a great deal of relief from these memories, telling Bo, "I do remember my love for you."
5/22 Hope excitedly tells him that she remembers being there in Paris with him, having strong feelings and intense passion for him right there in this room. She remembers strong feelings and intense passion, and feels they were "together" there. Bo seems confused at her memories. She reminds him that he has gaps in his memory during that time. Hope tells him that it was Stefano’s test to see if he had Bo under his control. Hope tells him that she remembers they made love. She tells him their love was just too powerful for Stefano.
Bo is not convinced, and asks if she is sure? Hope tells him that it is true, she remembers looking at him and touching him. She was herself, not Gina, and he held her. She tells him that he kissed her just like the first time, it was that magical. She never let anything like that in her life. Hope tells him Isaac could be his son, and he should have a DNA test when they get back to the states.
Hope is very happy, truly convinced by her memories. They return to their hotel, and are greeted in their room by Doug, Julie and Isaac looking darling in a red, French beret. Doug & Julie chatter about their morning excursions with Isaac, and talk about the need for a nap. Bo and Hope are hugging Isaac, and he is chattering away like a magpie. Before they leave, Bo takes Isaac off to the side and hugs him, whispering "Daddy's waited a long time". Doug & Julie take him with them for the afternoon siesta.
Hope tells Bo she is not happy with the name Isaac, as she feels Lexie is there, haunting them. Bo asks what could they call him that would be close? Hope thinks a bit, and comes up with Zach. Bo, likes it, so Zach it will be. Hope again talks about Bo being the father of Zach, reminding him of the white flash he had one time as he picked up Zach, but Bo says he just does not remember. They begin to passionately kiss, and Bo starts to have flashbacks of a sort of him as a mime, Hope washing away the makeup, her saying, “I love you Brady”, and him saying "FancyFace".
He recalls they made "incredible, blow off the roof, love" and both are ecstatic, realizing that though they were under Stef's control, their love surmounted everything. We see them in bed, wrapped in the blankets, as a song begins to play in the background. (This is a new song and was written and is sung by Peter Reckell's wife, Kelly Moneymaker). The lyrics start "Sometimes I wonder"...and continue with the phrases "I'd be so lonely without you, and I can't live without your love". A beautiful song, and we are treated to a montage of scenes of a young Bo & Hope celebrating their love in earlier romantic moments mixed in with the present scenes of them in the bed.
5/24 Rolf tries again to convince Lexie to go along with his plan and she refuses to do anything that could risk her baby’s life. She tells him she has a plan of her own and heads back to the nursery. The phone rings and it's Bart. He fills in Rolf on the Bradys plans to have a christening ceremony for Isaac in which they will rename him. Rolf presses Bart to find out more details as he will be going ahead with his plan.
Rolf goes to the nursery and sees her rocking a wrapped up blanket like it is a baby and humming. He tells Lexie that Bo and Hope are returning from Paris and they are going to have a christening and will be renaming Isaac. He warns her that they have to act now or she will lose her son forever. She shushes him as he is going to wake Isaac who is sleeping and she didn’t get a lot of sleep last night as he was fussy.
He sees that her sanity is slipping as she continues to talk to a blanket like it is her baby. He is concerned, but also notes that this will allow him to carry out his plan without any resistance. Bart calls back with more of the details. Rolf plots to destroy the Brady's happy event with the "death" of Isaac.
Bo and Hope are on the jet with Doug, Julie and Isaac returning to Salem. Hope is thrilled that she figured out the truth about Isaac's paternity, but Bo cautions her against getting carried away until it's confirmed. Doug and Julie have questions, but they tell them they can't answer anything until they confirm what they suspect. Hope assures her parents that it won't be long before they find out. It is announced that Bo and Hope intend to change Isaac's name to Zack.
Hope becomes upset when Isaac/Zack calls for mama and wants Lexie. Bo consoles his wife and tells her that it is going to take some time for Isaac/Zack to forget Lexie. Doug and Julie call Shawn and Caroline from the plane in order to start planning the christening. Of course they all think this is a wonderful idea and decide to bring in the whole family in on all the planning. Once the plane lands, Bo and Hope head to the hospital to have the DNA tests done. As they wait, Isaac/Zack calls Bo daddy!
5/27 Hope is already seated there in a booth at the pub as Caroline comes by. She tells Hope that she has talked to Kimberly and that she is coming home for the Christening and that she also heard that Melissa is coming home. Hope is thrilled and can't wait. Hope tells her that she is there to meet with someone and that is serious.
Later, Mrs. Spears (Jan’s mother) shows up. First thing she does is put down the pub and acts really snooty. Hope tells her about Jan's miscarriage, but she seems uninterested. She says that she is relieved as she is sure everyone else involved is as well. Hope explains in sympathetic tones, but Mrs. Spears is cold, uncaring, hateful and very condescending to Hope. Hope feels that Jan is reaching out and needs to be loved, something she has never had before. Mrs. Spears is very offended and even blames Hope for raising a son like Shawn. She doesn't want advice from her, someone who doesn't even know who the father of her OWN baby is.
Hope takes it all quietly and asks why does she resist Jan so much, did something happen to HER when she was younger? She is told it is none of her damned business. Hope says excuse me, but while she is living under MY roof, it is my business. Mrs. Spears asks if she is kicking Jan out and Hope admits yes, it is time for her to move back home. Mrs. Spears says that Jan can go straight to hell for all she cares and hope can go as well. With that she turns on her heel and storms out of the pub.
5/28 Bo and Zach are dancing together, so cute. Uncle Roman arrives and Bo fills him in on Zach's new name. Bo lets Roman know they've got the paternity issue under control and will tell everyone what they've learned when it's confirmed. Bo diplomatically asks Roman if he would understand not being Zach's Godfather as there's someone he needs to feel a part of Zach's life forever. Roman agrees 100%, saying the man is as close to a Brady family member as you can get.
Mimi arrives to talk with Bo. Roman and Zach excuse themselves to talk in the kitchen while raiding it. Mimi asks Bo about the day Bo took Jan to the hospital. She asks being he's a cop, what kind of questions would HE ask about that day. She questions Jan's just "falling". She asks what Jan was wearing when he found her. He tells her a red shirt and black pants and her hair was wet. Mimi's encouraged by that, thanks him and leaves to call Chloe on her cell.
Bo tells Roman about changing Isaac's name to Zack and then explains why he is going with a different godfather for his son. They agree to have security stepped up at the christening.
5/29 Bo, Hope and Zack are playing catch on the couch. Doorbell rings and Abe enters. After he calls him Isaac, Bo corrects him and tells him that they decides to call him Zack. Hope and Bo comment to Abe about how strong he was and how he helped them so much. He said he just did what he knew was right. Abe downplays his role, but Bo calls him a good honest man and praises him some more.
Bo and Hope want Abe to be a big part of Zack's life. Abe says this is so hard to be there like that, but they tell him it will get better, especially since he will be Zack's godfather. Abe will be honored to stand up for Zack. He then praises Bo and Hope as great friends. Then Zack looks at Abe and Bo and says Daddy. Abe notices that he used to call him DaDa but Hope tells him that Marlena advised them to call them different names to ease Zack's transition. Abe understands.
Bo asks if Abe has heard anything about Dimera lately. Hope and Bo figure that Dimeras are plotting against them. They plan to have security at the church for the christening. Abe says goodbye, Bo thanks him, Abe leaves. Bo and Hope want to go get Zack's christening outfit, but Hope doesn't want to take Zack out. Bo says that they are all going and not going to live in fear.
Jen meets up with Bo, Hope and Zack at Salem place. A nearby Lexie eavesdrops. She hears the Bradys tell Jenn of the baby’s name change. Jenn tells them Zack is so lucky to have two parents that love him so much. They ask Jenn to be his godmother. Lexie says to herself that Jen can won't have that job because it won't happen. She will have her baby back and that his name is Isaac, not Zack. Jen asks who the godfather is and is told it is Abe. Lexie, listening, says to herself that she will never let that happen.
5/30 Today's Zach's Christening day. The Brady's gather at the pub and Bo and Hope's house for the big day and celebrate Kim and Melissa both returning home to Salem.
At the pub, we hear someone ask what a girl has to do to get a hug around here and camera pans to Kimberly who has just arrived. Shawn and Caroline are thrilled when Kimberly arrives in town for the christening. The Brady gang all oblige with a big hug.
They ask about Kayla and Kim explains she couldn't get off work and Stefanie's studying for finals but Kayla sent new pictures. Kim tells them her own kids are in England with Shane. Colin joins them and is introduced to his cousin. Kim jokingly kids him that her mom has emailed her all about him.
Abe is worried about Stefano and his operatives. They privately clue Kim in that they have to protect the baby 24/7. Roman and Abe ask John to be in control of the security during the christening being they'll be busy. Kim gives Abe a hug, feeling bad for him. Roman tells him he's been part of the family for a long time.
A frumpy, grumpy Lexie joins Celeste in the living room. On the edge, Lexie claims to have a plan to save Isaac as Celeste tries to find out what she means. Celeste deducts that Lexie knew all along that the baby's had been switched and Lexie finally admits it to her mother. She rants, then says she was lying about that and her mother flunked the loyalty test. She denies knowing and even asked her father if he had anything to do with the switching and how he looked her right in the eye and lied. Celeste tells her she's a fool if she believed him.
Abe arrives to check on Lexie. Celeste warns him she's worried about Alexandra and what she'll do. Lexie yells at him and says Isaac was already christened. She tells him she hates him and beats on him while saying it. He hugs her and she walks off crying.
Abe's worried about Lexie and tells her to stay home and away from the pub, the church and the Brady’s home. He warns her all the places are staked out and she'll be arrested if she goes near any of them. She screams for him to leave and get out of her life. She vows not to let anyone do this to her.
Meanwhile, Rolf holds the syringe up saying, "Let the funeral begin". Bart just hopes there are no slip ups and Rolf gives him the evil eye. Later Rolf comes out in priest garb wearing a brown wig.
Bo and Hope prepare to go to the christening as Shawn comes in all dirty and grimy after working on the truck. Hope urges him to get ready for the christening, but he seems pretty morose about the idea. Maggie and Mickey have arrived with Melissa and she and Hope hug. Shawn walks in and he and Melissa shake hands hello until he cleans up and he heads upstairs to change.
Hope explains how hard Shawn is taking JT's absence and how they've missed two years of Zach's life already. Melissa assures them they're so loving he's going to fit right in. She hugs Mickey and Maggie saying she was older then Zach when they adopted her and she couldn't love them more then her biological parents.
Bo gets a phone call, it's Kim. She teases them with a fake voice and talks to both Bo and Hope. She can tell Bo's hiding something, but he jokes about her always being a big sister and laughs as they hang up. He and Hope whisper they wish they could tell everyone and hope they'll know the test results before the christening is over so they can announce it then.
Shawn comes downstairs in his dark suit and tie and the two cousins hug this time. They talk about how Melissa's in Nashville singing in clubs and as back up for other groups. Maggie boasts how great she was when they saw her last summer singing at the Wild Horse Saloon. Melissa admits she may never get rich, but she loves what she does.
She invites them all to Nashville June 13-16th for Country Music Fanfare. She invites them all to come stay with her and tells them Sarah would love to see them all. She asks Shawn about Belle and he says she's not in his life anymore. Bo suggests Shawn tell Jan they're leaving soon, but Shawn tells them he asked her to not be around today, so she's shopping with Cynthia. Hope thanks them for doing that.
Bo slips aside to call the lab. Melissa and Maggie join him asking if everything is okay? Shawn overhears Hope telling Melissa she talked to Jan's mother and is upset they didn't tell him about it. Melissa and Maggie step outside as Shawn rants about his parents running his life for him. Hope explains Jan can't live there indefinitely and they need a solution to make life easier. Shawn is upset saying it'll make their life easier and goes in the kitchen. Hope asks about the call and Bo tells her they haven't finished the tests yet, but it should be very soon.
Maggie talks to Shawn in the kitchen and gently reminds him that she knows he misses JT, but that Zach's his brother and needs his love too. They bring Zach downstairs in his white christening outfit and Maggie and Melissa fight over holding him, awww. Bo assures Hope the lab has his cell number too and the phone rings as they close the door.
Outside Bo, Hope and Shawn talk about JT and their feelings for him. They feel guilty about loving Zach so much and hope something will happen today that they feel will make it easier for Shawn to accept Zach as his brother. Melissa runs back as she forgot her purse and hears the phone ringing inside. Bo anxiously opens the door and gets the phone. Hope tells herself that she hopes that's the lab and Bo's Zach's father.
5/31 Both the Brady and Horton clans arrive at the church. Rolf receives a call from Bart at the church warning him that Lexie is looking for him. Rolf ends the call abruptly so he can get back to business. He is startled when Roman and John enter the chapel which causes him to put too many drops of the serum into the baptismal font!
John and Roman discuss their unease at having to look over their shoulders constantly wondering what Stefano's next move will be. Meanwhile, Abe informs the officer guarding the church entrance that Lexie is to be arrested if she tries to enter the church. Hope is agitated that the lab has not called with the test results. Caroline overhears Bo and Hope and wonders if all is well. They assure her everything is more than fine.
Rolf slips into one of the confessionals in order to watch the ceremony. He worries that Isaac/Zack will die due to his mistake. Meanwhile, Bart tries to reason with Lexie, but in the end she manages to get him to tell her where Rolf is. She forces him to help her stop Rolf before it's too late. A very concerned Rolf watches in fear as Abby goes to dip her fingers in the font. Jack stops her in time.
While talking with Shawn and Hope, Bo receives a call from the lab. They enter a room to take the call in private. The priest discusses the ceremony with Caroline who tells him that the family wants Isaac/Zack to have the full traditional rites despite the fact that he's already been baptized.
Everyone wonders where Bo and Hope are. Shawn Sr. finds them and they head to the chapel to begin the ceremony. Just before they begin, Hope announces that Isaac/Zack's biological father is in the room with them and it is none other than Bo!! Everyone is very thrilled and relieved to finally know the truth.
Bart enters the church disguised as a bum and creates a diversion in order for Lexie to slip in. She's wearing her old police uniform in order to blend in. Searching for Rolf, she ends up in the confessional next to him. As the ceremony begins, Rolf tries to convince Lexie to allow his plan to unfold (despite the risk to Isaac). She looks on not knowing what to do. The priest poises the chalice filled with the drugged water over the baby's head.
6/3 Lexie runs to the altar screaming. She shoves the priest's hand away from Zack and knocks over the baptismal font. Everyone is stunned. Roman restrains Lexie before anything else can happen. John questions her motives, but she starts raving that the priest was trying to kill the baby. John tells her he doesn't believe her because he saw the fear in her eyes when she was approaching the altar.
Colin injects Lexie with a sedative as the crowd looks on. John is very suspicious as to whom Lexie is covering for and why. Lexie is taken to the church entrance on a stretcher. Colin asks Abe if he's willing to sign commitment papers, but Marlena suggests that Lexie be taken to the hospital and given a complete "workup" before making such a drastic decision. As the ceremony resumes Lexie comes to and begins to scream hysterically for her baby. This upsets everyone including Zack.
The reception at the pub is a somber one. Shawn Sr. makes a toast in order to lift the mood in the room. He does ask that everyone keep Lexie and Abe in their prayers. John confides to Kim that he believes that Lexie's outburst at the church prevented something big from taking place. Melissa and Kim say their goodbyes to the family. Bo and Hope sit in the pub wondering about the future as a stranger watches them through the window.
Lexie is very upset and Abe tries to calm her. Outside her room, the doctor asks if Abe is ready to have her committed? Marlena promises that she will have a direct involvement in Lexie's care and treatment. Abe feels horribly guilty, but agrees to sign the papers. Abe goes to Lexie and gently tells her that she will not be going home with him. As he is leaving the hospital, Lexie stands at the door to her room and screams for him to help her. In the lab, Bart informs Rolf what is happening to Lexie. It turns out that Rolf has already come up with another scheme to bring down the Brady's once and for all.
6/4 Rolf was busy plotting the latest way to get Isaac away from the Brady's. He wrapped up a present, and had Bart sign the card, since he writes like he throws, which is "like a girl." Bart signed the card from "Grandma." The present was delivered at the party as Roman discussed the fact that, "it's only a matter of time before the Phoenix rises again," and Stefano makes his next move.
They opened the smaller present from Rolf, which had no card. It contained a small silver rattle, which seemed like an odd gift to everyone, since Isaac was too old for such a gift. Then Hope looked at it closely and saw the DiMera phoenix flapping within the rattle. They bagged it up and kept it for analysis, but it served its purpose in throwing them off track.
When they opened the other present, presumably from "Grandma," they weren't suspicious at all, despite the extremely creepy Jack-in-the-box that was in the present. The toy allowed Rolf to spy on the Brady's with a hidden mike, and he hinted at other devious surprises. Outside, a mysterious figure was shown cracking his knuckles. Abe said goodbye to Isaac. Hope reminded him he could visit whenever he wanted, and they all hoped Lexie would get the help she needed.
At the Brady home, Shawn happened to come home as Jan's Mom questioned her about the day of the miscarriage. He heard Jan say that she felt fine until she fell down the stairs. Suddenly, it all finally clicked for Shawn, and he was pissed, to say the least. He burst into the kitchen and began yelling at a shocked Jan. Shawn asked her to admit that it had all been lies, that she had manipulated him the whole time. Forced into a corner, Jan had to admit that she'd lied, especially about Belle causing the miscarriage.
Shawn was disgusted with himself, asking out loud how he could have believed Jan over Belle. "How could I be so stupid?" he asked. Shawn continued his tirade in the living room. He kept yelling at Jan, telling her that he had lied for her. He said he went as far as to tell everyone that he was the father of her baby. Right at that moment, Bo and Hope stepped into the room and heard it all. That's right, the truth finally came out, and both Bo and Hope looked shocked, yet relieved. Can you blame them?
6/5 Bo & Hope arrive as Shawn is exploding at Jan about having lied to everyone about being the father of her baby. His parents want an explanation, Jan tries to wiggle out of it by claiming Shawn did not have to admit to fathering her baby, she would have taken care of it. Shawn tells her the time for lies is over, that he told her from the beginning that secrets would eventually get out. Bo takes Isaac upstairs, while Hope demands the truth.
Jan finally admits she was raped, telling her mother that she would have probably blamed Jan for it, and how she wanted an abortion. Her mother is appalled that Jan felt she could not turn to her. Shawn tries to explain how all the stuff with JT got him making all the wrong decisions. Bo & Hope both talk about how the lies just made things worse. Jan tells the Bradys that Shawn got her to a doctor in Puerto Rico, and assures her anxious mother she is all right now.
Mrs. Spears makes a heartfelt plea to Jan. She blames herself for not being there for Jan, and for her attitude towards her, asking Jan to come home with her. Jan rejects her mother, saying she kicked her out of the house. But Mrs. Spears says the Bradys have made her realize just how wrong she has been, that they are such a good example of what a family should be, apologizes and again asks Jan to come home. Shawn says it would be for the best, Jan agrees. Mrs. Spears asks Hope to send Jan's things later and they leave.
After they leave, Shawn berates himself for all the mistakes he has made and tells his parents he wants to get back with Belle, but there is just no way she would forgive him. Hope tells him to go tell Belle everything, while Bo says that if it is meant to be, it will be. He and Hope look at each other as he comments that it may take a while, and there will be hurdles. But true love is worth fighting for. Shawn says he loves Belle, and vows he is "gonna be with her again".
6/7 This entire episode is devoted to graduation as the students bid farewell to Salem High in an emotional ceremony. Bo and Hope arrive, with Shawn complaining to them that Belle is still mad at him. They encourage him not to give up. Roman, Grampa Shawn and Caroline arrive with hugs as well. They explain that Micky and Maggie are babysitting Zack, along with a cop posted outside their house. Doug and Julie are the next to make an appearance (camera flashing), with an envelope for Shawn. It is a little something for his college fund.
The processional begins as Pomp and Circumstance blares over the loud speakers and the students begin to file into the gym. After the principal welcomes everyone, he announces Mr. Woods. He speaks briefly as we see various shots of students and he introduces the Salutatorian, Belle Black. She gives her speech and talks about various things including their Habitat for Humanity project and their trip last year. She advises the junior class to savor each moment of their senior year, for it goes by so fast. As she finishes, she says they are ready to take on the world. As the class song plays, we are treated to flashbacks from past scenes. We see Shawn’s memories of his 16th birthday party; giving Alice her ruby back, Bo and Hope's wedding, playing with JT and more.
Ms. Perez announces their key note speaker, a former Salem High graduate and now Editor in Chief of the Spectator, Jennifer Horton. She talks about how she struggled through high school and didn't get to participate in a 'cool' ceremony like this. She says instead, she had to go to summer school. She says that they are lucky to have this experience.
An excellent speech as she talks about their futures and encourages everyone to make the world a better place. She says that there is no greater joy than taking care of those around you. She says that everyone you touch becomes a part of your family and you have opportunities to change lives. She asks for a moment of silence to honor those they love and couldn't be there. Then Jen quotes Emerson saying "what lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us."
As the diplomas are given out, Shawn gets his and the Brady/Horton clan goes wild. Hope is filming with the video camera and Bo has to remove the lens cap. Ms. Spears comes in and slides in next to Hope just as Jan turns to see her and smiles. Mr. Woods congratulates the class of 2002 as Philip stands up and yells "Goodbye Salem High!". In slo-motion everyone removes their caps and tosses them into the air.
6/10 Abe is talking to the doctor on the hall while Lexie listens from her room. She hears the doctor tell Abe that worst case scenario is having to keep her locked up for years, but he is hoping that Lexie will get over her grief and anger before that happens. The doctor asks Abe and Celeste to leave as they are going to sedate Lexie.
Two nurses enter Lexie's room but one is called away. As the second nurse turns to give the shot to Lexie, she is overpowered. Shortly after that the first nurse does a bed check and sees what appears to be a sleeping Lexie. We then see Lexie step into the elevator dressed in the nurses uniform.
6/11 Bo and Hope picking up Zack from his birthday party. The Jack-in-the-box planted by Rolf to spy on the Brady's was still transmitting. Shawn arrived at the pub and was greeted by cheers and congratulations. He tried his best to force a smile, but his family could tell something was wrong. The only time he was genuinely happy was when he got to talk to JT on the phone, to wish him happy birthday. Shawn actually laughed and smiled, but it was only for a moment.
6/11 Abe arrived at the party bearing the terrible news that Lexie had managed to escape from the mental hospital.
Bo and Hope prodded a reluctant Shawn, telling him to get dressed and go to the dance. After all, he wouldn't want to make Chloe wait. Finally, he agreed, got dressed up in a smart suit with a powder blue tie, and left for the evening. After he left and Zack went to bed, Hope became frantic and irrational. She was deathly afraid that Lexie would somehow steal Zack, even with police guarding her home at all times. Bo told her not to give Stefano the satisfaction of causing her to panic.
Bo went in the kitchen, and when he came back, Hope had awakened Zack and was playing with him downstairs. She admitted to Bo that she was scared. He said he knew what to do to make her feel more secure.
6/12 Bo suggests to Hope that they take Zack and board the Fancy Face so they can sail away from Salem until Lexie is grabbed again. Abe likes the idea and offers to have his men check out the boat first. Lexie is hiding on the boat and slips off after overhearing the police arrive to search.
6/13 Brandon shows up just in time to pull Lexie out of the river. He thought she was trying to end her life and she left him know she was going after Isaac who was sailing away in the Fancy Face. Then Brandon takes Lexie to a hotel to hide out and calm down.
The police report back to Abe that a woman matching Lexie's description was spotted on the docks with a 6ft male companion. Abe finds out that Brandon left the lodge hours ago and thinks he is the one with Lexie. Lexie wants Stefano to call her and help her. Then she begs Brandon to help her and he tells her he will by taking her back to the hospital. He explains that it will make her look better and not so insane if she turns herself in.
6/17 Abe dozed at the desk. Lexie woke him, and he thought he was dreaming. She assured him that she was real and asked him to listen to what she had to say before he turned her in. She told Abe that everything she had done had been to keep their family intact, but she realized that she had to move on. Just before Lexie was taken back to the hospital, Rolf called and told Lexie not to worry because her father would see to it she got all the help she needed.
6/19 Abe was shocked when he visits Lexie and she joyously tells him she is getting released today! Bart paid off Lexie’s doctor for releasing her.
**The End**
