Bo & Hope #6 July 12 - August 20, 1984 - 8 hour original edit
#6A Bo refuses to
work for Megan's father. She tells him that she has told her father to back off.
Bo tells her he wants to talk about their child and he wants to find the child.
Mrs. H and her friend, Blanche, stop by to see Bo. They are both desperately
worried about Harold as he has been acting strange. Mrs. H asks Bo to meet them
at a cafe that afternoon and simply observe Harold. Before she leaves, she tells
Bo that she has to talk to him in private about something of a personal nature.
Bo believes it is about Hope and pleads with Mrs. H to tell him what is going on
with Hope. Before she can say anything, Marie walks in with Howie. Later
at the cafe, Harold arrives and he is so nervous he is shaking. Blanche comments
on his behavoir and he blows up, spills a drink, and storms out. Bo comes over
and says that Harold is definitely on edge. Blanche is sure it has something to
do with his job at the custom's department. Bo again asks Alice to tell him what
is going on with Hope. She begs off as she doesn't have time and promises to
talk to him later.
Not knowing is driving Bo crazy, so he stops Marie in the park and asks her. She
tries to blow him off but he won't take no for an answer. She sits him down and
tells him that Hope is pregnant with Larry's baby. Bo is devastated with this
news. When Megan comes upon Bo, he surprises her by suggesting they go party!
She is thrilled and says sure, anytime with him. He grabs her hand and then run
off to a waterfront bar. They are drinking and dancing, when Howie walks in and
interrupts. Howie's best customer is upset as his wife says Bo made a pass at
her and he has to fire him. Next, Mrs. H calls him and tells him she wants him
to meet her at The Lodge at 6:00. He says no disrespect but he doesn't want to
talk to any Horton's right now and he hangs up on her! She immediately calls him
back and tells him not to hang up on her again. He tells her that he already
knows about Hope's pregnancy. She tells him that isn't the whole story and if he
ever trusted her that he has to trust her now. She demands that he meet her at
6:00 and hangs up on him before he can refuse. Alice then calls Hope and also
asks her to meet her at the lodge that night. She puzzles Hope by suggesting she
bring along a sweater. Hope questions this as its warm outside. When Hope opens
the door to leave, a rather loud alarm goes off. Hope surmises that the alarm is
more to keep her in than to keep burgulars out. She demands that her butler,
London, have it immediately removed. He tries to tell her that he only takes
orders from Larry and she threathens to have him fired if he doesn't do as she
requests.
Abe comes into the bar and stages a fight with Bo in front of Megan and winds up
decking him. Abe then pretends to arrest him and take him away. Once in
the car, Bo sarcastically asks what he is arresting him for? Abe offers him a
job. Bo turns him down and says he would rather go to jail. Bo drinks some
coffee and sobers up as Abe tells him that he wants him to do a job, one that
Abe can't do on his own. He wants Bo to accept Max's offer so he can get on the
inside. Bo is concerned if Max is as bad of a guy as Abe believes that Megan
could be in danger. Abe points out this makes Bo the perfect person to get on
the inside and he can also look out for Megan. Bo agrees. Mrs. H calls the bar
looking for Bo. The bartender tells her that Bo started a fight with a cop and
was arrested. Mrs. H then calls Abe and demands he release Bo immediately. He
laughs and tells Bo it is a good thing he hadn't arrested Bo. He hands Bo the
phone and he agrees to meet Mrs. H.
Later at The Lodge, Hope arrives and meets Mrs. H. She very mysteriously asks
Hope to do as she says, quietly and without any questions. As Blanche and Harold
come in, she shoves Hope through a door that leads to the cellar. Mr. H wonders
what she is up to? She claims she thought that door led to the ladies room. Hope
wanders down to the wine cellar, very puzzled as to what her grandmother is up
to. Alice sneaks away, and shows Hope a secret entrance through the wine cellar
into the tunnels. She explains that she told Bo that Hope needed him and asked
him to meet her. Hope is dissapointed as she doesn't believe Bo will come as he
thinks she hates him. Alice tells her to sit tight, hide if she hears anyone
coming and be quiet, she is sure Bo will show up.
Bo arrives looking for Mrs. H. She walks away from her friends and Mr. H, she
hands Bo a flashlight and tells him to go down to the tunnels, to hurry and not
ask any questions as she is in enough trouble already. London calls Larry and
reports that he drove Hope to The Lodge and he was then banished to the parking
lot. He investigated when Bo showed up and now he can't find either of them. Bo
enters the tunnels and literally runs into Hope. Frightened she begins to scream
and he puts his hand over her mouth and she turns into his arms. He asks what
she is doing there? She tells him he was her grams idea and while she went along
with it, she didn't think he would show up. He tells her that he didn't know he
was meeting her. She asks if he knew he was meeting her if he would have shown
up? He doesn't answer and says this is no place for a pregnant woman. She tells
him she isn't pregnant and if he wasn't so stubborn she wouldn't still be a
virgin. Bo looks at her in shock as she grabs him and kisses him. He tells her
she is making him crazy. She tells him she had to meet him secretly, that she
was kidnapped from the barn and forced to right the letter that she left for
him. He doesn't believe all of this and asks if they held a gun to her head when
she told him that she hated him? He tries to leave as he feels like she is
manipulating him. She stops him and tells him she only married Larry to save
Bo's life, that she loves Bo and she never stopped. He starts laughing and she
gets upset and pushes him and they both fall onto the floor and start making
out. She tells him that she felt every bit of the pain he felt and he is the
only one she has ever loved and she will find a way out of this so they can be
together. He promises they will both find a way out of it. She hugs him as she
says this is where she belongs, in his arms.
Bo asks about her pregnancy and she tells him that Larry's bosses were
pressuring him as they felt that would keep her close to him. He was pressuring
her, so she lied to him and told him that she was already pregnant with Bo's
child. Bo loves this and wishes he could have seen the look on Larry's face! She
tells him she faked the pregnancy and Mrs. H caught her and that is how she
found out. Bo wants to get her out of town that night. She tells him she can't
as it will put everyone she loves in danger. Larry shows up looking for Hope and
sits with Mrs. H and begins questioning her. Mr. H joins them and says that Hope
called and she had a sudden impulse to see Melissa and will be late joining
them. Larry is distracted by Gwen's entrance and buys his excuse and leaves to
be with his lady love. Mrs. H is surprised that Hope called her grandfather. He
tells her she knows that Hope didn't call, that he knows she is up to something.
She fills him in on Hope meeting Bo in the tunnels, and she tells him how
dangerous this all is. Mrs. H interrupts the love birds to tell them the
rendevous is over as Larry is suspicious and she has to get back upstairs. Bo
says not just yet and pulls Hope back into his arms for a farewell kiss. They
agree to meet later on the pier. Hope joins Larry, Max, and Gwen and makes nice.
Bo finds Abe waiting for him in his apartment. Abe asks why he wants to
see him? Bo tells Abe that he quits. Abe is furious and threathens to come down
on Bo really hard. Bo tells Abe something else has come up that takes
precedence. Abe surmises that Bo's sudden change of position is about Hope. He
points out that working for Hathaway will get Bo on the inside where he can
learn all sorts of things and reminds Bo that Max is a big supporter of Larry
Welch's. Bo meets with Hope later and they duck down in the car in between
kisses to avoid being spotted by oncoming cars. Bo tells her that she has to
continue to pretend hating him and that Hathaway is his new boss. He tells her
not to be concerned if he starts dressing and acting differently. Bo gets out of
the car to confront Larry before he gets too close to the car. Larry threathens
to run him in, and tells him he has the kind of power that will make Bo's head
spin. After Larry leaves, Bo tells Hope that they can't meet in public anymore.
She tells Bo again that he is the only man for her. Bo is worried about her
being married to Larry, he tells her he would break her door down if they were
living in the same house. An optomistic Bo believes it will all be over in a
couple of weeks! She begs him to make love to her and he promises soon.
Bo stops off at Eugene's and tells him that he needs a tracking device and also
can be used to communicate. He says it has to be disguised and he also requests
an emergency button so he knows when she is trying to reach him. He covers his
slip by telling Eugene it is for a client. Eugene whips up a device that looks
just like a watch. Bo gives the watch to Hope and explains how it works. He asks
her to be careful around Eugene as he doesn't want him to recognize the device
and get involved in this. Hope wishes they could go to the police. Bo says they
have no evidence and he is worried that they could go through with some of their
threats. He tells her that being away from for even one night is too long. He
promises her that some day they will have it all. He warns her again not to be
surprised by his behavior.
Bo is wearing a suit and tie and when he runs into Roman, his big brother
questions his new look. Bo brushes him off and is rather rude, trying to put
distance with his brother. Bo meets Maxwell and tells him he is interested in
the job. He is involved in security for an art exhibit. He discusses it with
Megan and asks her how long does she think the job will last? She tells him that
they will go to New Orleans for the World's Fair when it leaves Salem and they
will go with it. Megan tells Bo about the opening for the art exhibit. She tells
him that Larry & Hope have been invited. He coolly tells her that he doesn't
care about Hope. She calls him a liar and then admits that she still has
feelings for him. She says she isn't lying to herself and accuses him of lying
to himself about his feelings for Hope. He insists that he doesn't have feelings
for Hope, she is married. He apologizes for hurting Megan and says that he won't
do it again and asks her not to give him the chance to. When Max enters the
room, Bo heads out to the art gallery. Megan collapses in her father's arms and
cries that she is still in love with Bo. Her father offers to help get them
together and Megan smiles hopefully.
Bo runs into Mrs. H and warns her that she is to stay out of this investigation
as it is too dangerous for her. She huffs that she is the one who brought him in
on it. Bo is not a fan of contemporary art, and grimaces as he starts at the
statue of prisms. Meanwhile, Harold receives a framed work of art with a
computer disk in the middle in his customs office. A snoopy Harold puts the disk
in his computer and finds a strange code about a prism. Nick blackmails Larry
that he has been a very bad boy and if he doesn't want the information to go
public that he is to pay him $5,000. Larry immediately fills Maxwell in on Nik's
blackmail. Max insists on meeting with Nick and tells him he needs a
child. Nick thinks he wants him to kidnap one, no but he does want a four year
old boy that he can pass off as Megan and Bo's son. He puts a stop to the
blackmail scheme with this offer of a much bigger pay off. Max later tells Larry
that Nick won't be bothering him anymore and instead will be doing him a huge
favor.
Bo contacts Hope via her watch phone and Eugene is nearby when the alarm goes
off and he innocently asks her what that is? She says it is an alarm that she
has to leave for a doctor's appointment. Her and Bo are going to meet up on a
rainy day, but she urgently tells Bo to back off as she is being followed. He
instructs her to go shopping and drive around and try to shake the tail, they
argree to meet up at Shenanigan's. She groans that she hates pretending that she
hates him. He finds Megan sitting with Larry and Hope and pretends reluctance to
join them. Hope gets away and jumps into Eugene's cab to double back and meet up
with Bo. Eugene tells her that he likes her and if she ever needs help that she
can depend on him, that if she ever needs a quick getaway that she can jump into
his cab anytime. She thanks him but doesn't let on her situation. Her
grandmother then takes her to the docks as her and Bo are going to go to the
boathouse to have some alone time.
Bo and Hope are next seen as he rows for dear life in the middle of driving
rainstorm. Hope stops him and clings to him, desperate to hold and kiss him.
They are soaking wet. Bo warns her that they have to be extra careful as the
people they are involved with are very dangerous. He tells her that he will be
going to New Orleans in a couple of weeks. He sternly tells her that she can't
come that the case he is working on is too dangerous. She stops asking, tells
him to shut off and starts kissing him. As they make out in the rain, the
rowboat springs a leak and the boat begins fillilng with water. Hope is a bit
worried by the lightening but Bo assures her they are safe, that is until he
notices the water in the boat and begins rowing for shore. Hope is worried as
she doesn't know how to swim. Gene has a bad vibe and he heads to the
waterfront. He jumps in the water and swims towards Bo and Hope. He calls out to
them and the sound of his voice helps them navigate towards the dock. They make
it to the dock as the boat sinks. Bo asks Gene to keep what happened tonight
quiet and he promises that he will. Bo tells him that his vibes are beautiful.
They all go to Eugene's house to dry off. Bo is eager to get her back to her
life before she is missed. She starts taking off her clothes, he tells her to
stop teasing him. He tells her that he thinks he is getting somewhere by working
for Hathaway, that it is possible he is behind this whole mess. He tells her
that these people are ruthless and she is out of it. Eugene comes back in and
Hope goes upstairs to change. Gene asks Bo to tell him all as he is in on it
whether Bo likes it or not (we don't see the whole detailed recap as it isn't
shown). n the next scene, we get a brief recap as Bo finishes filling him in on
the intrigue.
Megan tells her father about all of her plans for Bo. Her father promises that
if Bo Brady is what she wants that Bo Brady is what she shall have. Max talks to
his henchman about the sculpture containing one of the three prisms but he
doesn't know which prism is the magical one. Danny calls Eugene's and
tells Bo that Max is looking for him. When Bo calls, Max asks him to meet him on
the docks. Max's man asks why he trusts Bo as he barely knows him? Max says that
Bo is a lot like him. Megan sits on the docks reminiscing about her past romance
with Bo. He soon arrives, interrupting her thoughts, and asks where her father
is? She claims he was called away to a meeting. Bo takes the opportunity to jump
in Eugene's cab as he is taking Hope home to steal a goodnight kiss. Meanwhile,
Max announces to the cartel that Bo Brady is his protegee and he'll be taking
him into the organization in New Orleans. He is going to put Bo to the
test first.
Abe calls Eugene onto the carpet for getting involved and warns Eugene that
there is too much at stake for Gene to be messing around. Abe doesn't trust
Gene's vibes. He smugly tells Abe that he talked to the art gallery curator and
the paintings in the exhibit or nowhere near as valuable as Hathway makes out.
Abe is interested in these and there is a high tech security system and the
exhibit is heavily insured. Harold puts the disc in computer and finds a curious
code "Three prisms to rule, three prisms for power, the numers will direct
you" He realizes this is some kind of code and that it is very important to
someone. He sets up a meeting, he wants out in exchange for his silence.
Meanwhile, Nick meets with Maxwell and tells him that he has found a boy. Diane
signs the papers Nick has and then overhears him say the boy will be in New
Orleans. Bo and Megan, then Larry and Hope show up to dance at Blondie's. A
scheming Max plans to have the foursome join him for dinner. Liz sings,
"Whatever We Imagine" as Bo and Hope play "footsies" under
the table. The gallery opening is tomorrow night. Hope asks Bo if
they are still on for meeting at Eugene's later? He confirms yes it is. When
Hope and Megan find themselves alone in the ladies room, Megan suddenly becomes
weepy and confidential. Hope sympatheticallly listens hoping to gain some
information. A manipulative Megan deliberately tells Hope that she and Bo had a
baby together. Hope is shocked with this revelation and Megan is pleased
that Hope didn't know about this bombshell. Hope arrives at Gene's to meet Bo.
She is touched by all of effort Gene put into decorating his basement to create
a romantic hideaway for them. An upset Hope confronts Bo about the baby.
He is sorry for not having told her sooner and tells her it was a long time ago.
He tells her that he has a little boy out there somewhere and he wants to find
him. He explains that he has only known for a couple of weeks. He tells her how
Megan's mother schemed to get Megan to give the baby up for adoption. Bo assures
Hope that he doesn't love Megan. Hope is still worried as Megan loves him and
she thinks Bo is free. Bo assures her is not free as he loves Hope. She cries
that she is tired of this mess and doesn't know how much more of it she can take
and begs him to get them out of this. She doesn't know how much longer she can
stay away from him. He promises that when he gets to New Orleans that he will
get the information that he needs. Hope is annoyed to learn that Megan is going
to New Orleans with Bo and tells him over her dead body will Megan go with him
while Hope stays home! Max shares his ultimate goal is for Larry to become
president of the United States! Gene alerts Bo that Max and Megan are
headed to the gallery where Bo is supposed to be and he rushes off, having to
leave Hope at Gene's.
Bo has lunch with Kim (their first scenes together since Patsy arrived on the
show). Bo tells her that he needs her help and wants her to go out with
Tony DiMera. She isn't at all interested until she figures out that it is for an
investigation. Bo wants Kim to go to the gallery opening party with Tony so she
can take pictures. He tells her Tony is on the guest list and no one will
suspect her. She reluctantly agrees. A photographer arrives at Larry and
Hope's to capture photos of the "happy couple". Hope takes the
opportunity to tell Larry that she is going to New Orleans, figuring that once
the press knows about the planned trip that he can't get out of her going.
Hope meets "Shane" her new butler for the first time. Hope
suggests that she take her grandmother with her to NO. Larry won't hear of it
and doesn't want her to go. When they are alone they have a shouting match over
the issue. He accuses her of wanting to be with Bo. She assures him that if she
is seen with Bo that she knows he could be killed. She tells him that Bo has
accepted that Hope is married to Larry and he thinks the baby is Bo's. She says
Bo is too busy with Megan to have any time for her anyway.
Hope is out on the patio with Shane lurking as Bo beeps her. Hope excuses that
it is an alarm to remind her to take her vitamins. He points out that she
already took them that morning. She puts him in his place by telling him to stay
out of her business. She orders him to clean up the mess on the patio and she
runs upstairs to answer Bo's call. Shane muses that she is a very clever little
girl. Bo tells her that her grandpop is going to pick her up with the cover of
going to the hospital so they can meet. Hope joyously runs into Bo's arms. Bo
goes over his plan for that night without giving her all of the details of what
he is up to. He simply says he is doing this to get in Maxwell's good graces as
he wants to be his right hand man.
At the Art Gallery opening, Bo wanting to show his boss that he was loyal,
switches off the lights, steals one of the objects and runs to the elevator.
After about two minutes or so he came out of the elevator, Larry Welch
threathens he is going to be arrested but Maxwell said to let Bo explain
himself. Bo explains why he stole statue and that Megan helped. He
says he has been telling Max about the weakness in his security system and he
wouldn't listen. When they return home, Blanche and Harold Daly's place is
trashed. Harold dies from a heart attack. Bo and Hope meet at her
grandparents and enjoy a quick embrace. Hope promises Bo she will not come to
New Orleans but she has her fingers crossed behind her back.
The next day, Max tells Megan that he thinks the disk in the exhibit is
"the one". Megan tries the disk, but it is blank. She is furious and
threathens to kill whoever is responsible. She throws open the door and Bo is
surprised to see her full fury. A concerned Bo asks if anyone is bothering her
to tell him and he will take care of it. She quickly resumes her innocent act
and is off to go shopping. Bo asks Max if he is going to have to prove himself
to Max's colleagues? Max agrees he will. Bo tells Max to tell his business
associates that Bo Brady is ready to prove himself. Bo and Abe meet and review
Kimberly's pictures of the art peices looking for clues. Bo is off to New
Orleans the next day. Abe is concerned and wants to arrange back up for him as
it could get dangerous down there. Bo nixes that idea as being too risky.
Megan shows up in Bo's room, and playing the damsel in distress she goes into a
faint. Bo catches her and helps her to her bed. She tells him she is afraid and
has been thinking about their son. She is concerned about finding their
"son" and what kind of mom she will be and whether he will hate her.
Bo assures her that she is not alone and the boy is their child and they will do
this together. Nick tells Max he has the boy. She tells him she has a lot
of love to give. He tells her they will meet up in New Orleans, she kisses him
on the cheek as he leaves and he looks more than a bit uncomfortable. After boy
leaves, her father enters. Megan and her father discuss the boy that they will
lead Bo to believe is his child. (Backstory: The child they planned to tell Bo
was his, was really Diane's, a prostitute that Bo knew from high school. Bo got
her off the street and helped her to get a job as a waitress at Shenanigans.
Nick Corelli her former pimp was now working for Maxwell Hathaway and he
convinced Diane that he knew a nice family who wanted her son. Maxwell paid Nick
a great deal of money to get the child who had been in foster care).
#6B Abe and Bo meet at Blondie's and Abe informs him that all Max's
art went thru Harold Daly, in customs. Liz sings, "I Found A Miracle In
You". Megan dreams of her and Bo being together, while Bo has
flashbacks of Hope to "Whatever We Imagine".
On location in New Orleans begins and a music montage of location scenes is
shown. Max and Megan arrive first. Bo goes to Horton's to see Hope before
leaving for New Orleans. Someone is watching the house and faking a broken
down car in front of Alice's house. She realizes what the guy is up to and heads
out to take care of the matter. She tells the man that she is very sorry
but her house is on a historical tour and she is expecting hundreds of cars in a
short time and she can't have his car in the way and she will be happy to call a
tow truck for him. He insists that he will be able to fix it and she agrees to
give him two minutes to do so. She waits with a close eye on her wrist watch. At
two minutes, she hops in the car and starts it right up. She gives him props for
fixing it without even realizing it. When he begins delaying leaving, she offers
to call the police and have them come assist him. Knowing he has been bested, he
gives up and leaves. Bo watches from the house, laughing that Mrs. H chased the
guy off.
In New Orleans, Bo is contacted by Hope on the wrist radio, she tells him she
received a call and for him to go to Jackson Square to receive important
information. Megan tries to stall his departure, but he insists he has to
get to the gallery to check on the art. When Bo arrives at the square, he is
surprised to see Hope. He tries to be upset with her for coming to NO after he
asked her not to but he can't help being happy to see her. She assures him that
no one knows she is there except her grandmother. She wants to help him with the
investigation. He hates that idea, she tells him she will stay out of his way
that she just wants to be near him. She tells him she loves him and he tells her
that he loves her. They agree to enjoy their day together. Bo and Hope tour New
Orleans, and stop and do a cute bit with the mimes. They head to Bourbon Street
though Bo tells her they have to lay low as they are nearing the Hathway
residence. Bo and Hope duck into a little out of the way restaurant and
Liz walks in right behind Bo. Hope hides behind a plant as Liz invites Bo to her
opening at the "Can-Can Cabaret". They make their getaway without
being spotted together. Gwen and Larry also arrive in NO. Hope
surprises Larry with her presence, as Bo and Megan walk in.
Hope calls Bo on the wrist radio and tells him to meet her. Max shows up,
then Megan. Nick calls Max and tells him the"goods" are in NO,
meaning the little boy. Diane tells Howie that Nick has something that belongs
to her and she has to get it back, that she has made a big mistake and now has
to fix it. Hope and Bo locked themselves in a closet in Maxwell Hathaway's
house to be close to each other and they overheard Max asking Gwen to spend the
night with him. After they came out of the closet, Megan also wanted time alone
with Bo and Hope seethed. Blanche, Alice, Tom and Howie have contents of
safe deposit box and take the disk to Eugene's to use his computer. Liz
has her opening and sings for the visitors from Salem as Bo and Hope make eyes
at each other across the table and have a hard time hiding their feelings for
each other. Hope is waiting for Bo in his room and hides out on the
balcony when Megan enters. Hope lunges over the balcony to hide and winds up
hanging on as the balcony begins to give way. Bo hearing the noise creates a
distraction by saying he smells smoke and sends everyone running to different
sections of the house to investigate. He is able to get to Hope and pull her to
safety just in time.
Nick tells Max that Diane has checked into the hotel in NO and she must want the
son back (Nick has arranged for her to sell her son to Max and she has second
thoughts and wants her child back). Megan returns to Bo's room and Hope
hides under the bed. Max wants Bo to meet him at the "Can-Can Cabaret"
for an assignment. Bo goes back to his room where Hope is waiting for him,
she wants to make love, but he says just couple more days to get the info he
needs and then they can be together. Maxwell Hathaway called Bo to tell him he
had an assignment for him and he was very mysterious about it and told Bo he
couldn't discuss this over the phone. Hope was upset about this because she
wanted him to stay with her. She asked him where is the Bo Brady she fell in
love with the one who was afraid of nothing? He told her he was the only clear
headed one there he had to keep them both alive, that she makes him forget where
they are. When Bo arrived at the restaurant Max began to tell him how much he
trusted him and he wanted to know what Bo thought about his organization. Bo
told him he thought it was a cover for something else but he didn't know what
and that Max's banks handled all of the dirty money as he called it. Max told
him some of his assumptions were true and that he was a member of a extremely
powerful and dangerous organization and if Bo wanted to join forces with them he
had to prove himself. The task he was being assigned was to kill his friend,
Diane. (Max wanted her out of the way because he wanted to Bo to believe that
Diane's child was Megan and Bo's that she had given up years ago.)
Bo agreed to kill Megan and in return he demanded $100,000 a year and three
vehicles of his choice. Bo pretended to be dancing with Diane and he whispered
to her that she was in grave danger. He instructs her to change clothes and
sneak out and he'll meet her. They met up later at a gypsy's place they
thought it was abandoned so that he could tell Diane his plan. The gypsy woman
pretended to befriend them by offering soup and telling them they were in grave
danger she used some sticks muttered some words and dropped them saying they
would tell her what she needed to know she said one of them was to kill the
other. The gypsy was revealed to be actually working for Nick, Diane's pimp who
she had given her baby to. He revealed himself to her and paid her some money
after over hearing Bo's plan. Max blackmails Neil into signing the medical forms
or he will tell Liz about the money Neil borrowed to purchase
"Blondie's", because of Neil's bad credit. Neil still refuses and Max
threathens to call in the loan which will result in Liz losing Blondies, Neil
complies. Blanche calls Alice and tells her she read the diary and it explains
all and can Alice go with her to NO so she can give the diary to Bo.
Blanche is run down as she and Alice were leaving for NO.
Bo goes back to the house and clues Hope in on what he has been asked to do that
night. Hope worries for his safety as he assures her he won't be hurting anyone.
He tells her to be prepared to run. Bo tells her how much he loves her and when
he gets the goods on Max that he will blow him out of the water and nothing will
keep him and Hope apart. He kisses her goodbye and pulls away just as Megan is
entering the room. Megan wants Bo to attend Larry's party with her. She
seductively tries to hit on him as Hope stars daggers at the back of Megan's
head. Bo begs off that he has to work as this job is very important to him. He
tells her that he wants the things this job can bring him, a new car, a new
bike, money in his jeans. Megan is pleased with this new ambitious Bo. Bo and
Diane stage her murder. Bo and Max's man prepare to go into Diane's room. Bo
told Maxwell Hathaway the job was finished that he had killed Diane but really
she was going to leave town but she never got the chance because she was killed
by someone else. When Bo took one of Max's henchmen to the scene she was
already dead. A very tense looking Bo arrives back at the house. Hope searches
his face for clues as to how the evening went.
Alice discovered the key word to unlocking the code on the disk and decided a
plan to say that she and Tom were going to Florida for Blanche's burial and then
she would catch a flight to New Orleans to tell Bo what she discovered. Bo goes
outside and Hope follows him and jumps in the car to spend a moment alone with
him. They find Alice hiding in the back set. She fills Bo in on Harold's diary
and tells him about Hacker #4, the art piece that had a diskette embedded in the
art. Harold took the disk off the art. She tells him Eugene is working on the
disk and he will arrive in NO's as soon as he breaks the code. Alice sadly tells
Bo about her friend's murder. Bo says her cover storyline for being in NO's is
Hope was having morning sickness and she needed her remedy. When they had a
moment alone, Bo told Hope that he had been asked to kill Diane and she was
dead. He said he hadn't killed her, that someone else had and they think he did
it and they are about ready to give him a medal they are so happy.
Everyone has dinner at The Cann Cann. Bo asked Megan to dance all the while
looking at Hope who was seething. Alice asked Hope who she thought was behind
everything her being forced to marry Larry? Hope said she thought it was Maxwell
Hathaway he had the power and the means to do it and it was obvious he wanted Bo
in his family. Alice thought this was ridiculous because he was a banker and his
banks owned half the mortgages on her street. At the end of the evening, Maxwell
told Bo welcome to his family he was now a member of The Cartel. Bo was led into
a room and introduced to each member one by one whereby they all welcomed in. Bo
wakes the next morning from a nightmare about Diane's death.
Megan and Bo walk in on Howie at the Hathaway's. Howie says he is there as a
security consultant for the art exhibit. Bo explains about Diane's death to
Howie. Max, Bo and Howie discuss an alarm for the exhibit. After learning
of Diane's murder, Marlena phoned Bo in New Orleans to tell him the reason why
Diane went to New Orleans was to find her son whom she had given up. She left
the message with Megan who of course didn't tell Bo a word. She told her father
though who told her it was nothing to worry about then she started throwing
things all across the room and told him her mother came between her and Bo and
she has since gotten over her weaknesses and no one was going to stop her from
getting him. Maxwell merely looked at her and left the room. Bo, Hope, Mrs. H
and Howie all met up in Jackson Square to discuss their plan to steal one of the
prisms. Even though they were discreet, they were still overheard by one of
Maxwell henchmen.
Mrs. Horton, Hope and Megan were having lunch together but they wanted to get
rid of Megan so they could meet Howie and Bo. Hope contacted Bo via her watch
and was almost caught by Megan. Megan said, "Hope don't you think its a bit
childish talking into your watch?" Hope replied that it was a game they
used to play when she was a child so they were just reminiscing. Megan bought
the story. Howie was tired of waiting so he stole Megan's car and then doubled
back to Bo's car. While the police were talking to Megan (the officer is a very
young James DiPiva), Hope and Alice left and Bo and Howie followed them.
They met in a park where they discussed their plans. Bo and Howie planned to
steal one of the prisms. Alice was to have a duplicate made so no one would
notice it was missing. Hope was to keep everyone away from the exhibit during
the parade that was being held in town for the royal family from Tibet. After
discussing their plans, Howie and Alice went for a walk to give the couple some
time together. Hope told Bo how she couldn't wait for this whole mess to blow
over and he told her not to worry it was just a matter of days. Bo and Hope were
kissing and telling each other how much they loved each other. As they were
saying goodbye, Bo picked a flower and put it in Hope's hair. After they left a
man appeared wearing a glove with only had three fingers the other two were
missing he picked the exact same flower as Bo had.
Mrs. Horton and Howie arrived for breakfast and Megan invited them in. She said
she was just going upstairs to see what was taking Bo so long. Alice knowing Bo
and Hope were probably together pretended to feel faint. Megan asked if there
was anything she could get her and Alice said a nice cup of tea. As Hope was
leaving her room, someone grabbed her by the mouth and dragged her into a room.
It was Bo and he told her don't say anything just kiss me. After she left,
Howie phoned upstairs to warn Bo. As Megan reached the top of the stairs, she
saw Hope and they pretended to be civil to each other while dishing out insults.
As everyone sat down for breakfast Maxwell came in, he and Megan got into an
argument about working Bo too hard. They left the room and went outside to talk
and closed the door. As they were arguing Bo came outside and heard them, he
asked if he was interrupting? Megan sweetly said Daddy knows when I don't get my
own way I throw a tantrum.
Neil had begun to worry about the medical forms he'd given to Max and so he
called him in New Orleans but Max told him he would have to speak to him later
and hung up the phone this was during breakfast at the Hathaway Mansion. Before
there plans were carried out, Bo told Alice if anything happened to him he
wanted she and Mr. Horton to take care of Hope for him. Alice refused to listen
to this saying they would be no need to because he and Hope were going to be
together. Hope, Howie and Mrs. Horton went to the exhibit to distract the
guards as Bo used a rope to climb down into the art exhibit. What they didn't
know was that Maxwell and two of his associates were on there way there to check
out the exhibition. Hope pretended to be looking for Larry but the guards
insisted her husband wasn't there she preceded to hit them with her bag and told
them they were just like him. After they told her she had to leave, she
pretended to faint and Alice told them she was pregnant and she couldn't leave
in her condition. Hope's stalling was enough time for Bo to steal the
prism and replace it with a fake but Hope spilled some marbles which caused the
alarms to go off and then the guards saw the rope that Bo had used. One said
that the guy still had to be up there. Hope began to cry in fear, "I'm so
sorry Bo."
Bo runs out of the gallery and blends in with a parade. Bo met up with Hope and
they were both chased by the security officers at the exhibit. One by one
someone was using a silencer to take out the guards to help Bo and Hope escape.
Maxwell was informed of the attempted robbery and went onto the exhibit to look
at the prism he informed the members of the cartel that nothing was stolen. If
he knew that the prism was a fake he didn't let on and Megan told him he was
very lucky. Alice, dressed as a conductor, arrives at just the right time
driving a tour bus. Mrs. H drives them to the harbor and Bo meets up with Howie.
Bo gave Howie the prism to hold for him, all the while this mysterious man was
looking on. Howie put the prism into his pocket and as held the bag over the
railing, a man lunged at him and fell over the pier into the water. Howie just
peered over at him and moaned that Bo is going to kill me. Bo was riding through
the countryside on his motorcyle to "Holding Out For A Hero". He rides
into Oak Alley Plantation and tells the staff he is looking for a brunette. They
tell him if he wants to hang around that he will have to work. Howie went to the
police and told them about the guy who went over the pier. The police thought he
was somehow connected to the attempted robbery seeing he fit the description and
so they called Maxwell Hathaway. Bo flirts with a dark haired mannequin
pretending she is Hope. This leads into a cute fantasy sequence of Bo and Hope
dancing and flirting (in costume) at a civil war era ball.
