Bo & Hope #75 January 5 - August 17, 2009: 8 hour original edit

DVD #75A 1/5 Philip ran into Bo at the Brady Pub, and Bo asked how Philip enjoyed celebrating New Year's Eve with Stephanie. Philip said he and she had a good time, then took Bo's silence as disapproval that he and Stephanie were dating. Bo warned Philip not to break Stephanie's heart. Philip accused Bo of trying to stick it to Philip, especially over Belle. Bo pointed out that Belle wasn't the only one that Philip had hurt. Bo warned Philip to treat Stephanie right.

At the police station, Bo complained about having little time. Hope tried to calm him down by telling him that Ciara was happy and by reminding him that he got the present of a lifetime. Hope said she wasn't referring to the present she gave him; she was talking about the visions he'd been having. They kissed, and then she closed the blinds. He told her it was becoming a running joke in the office every time she went to see Bo. Hope told him that he needed a break and she planned to make reservations at the Mountainview Lodge. She told him to clear his calendar, because they were leaving that afternoon. He said even if he could clear his calendar, there was no way she could get reservations at the last minute, but if she were able to make the reservation, he'd be willing to go.

Bo had a vision at the DiMera mansion. He heard Stefano's voice talking about Theo, and he saw Theo walking up the stairs. He heard Lexie say that she had to think about what could be wrong with Theo bonding with Stefano. Then she decided to leave, but looked around and didn't see Theo. Theo was walking up the stairs and attempted to touch a painting hanging at the top of the staircase while Lexie argued with Stefano in the living room. Suddenly, Lexie realized that Theo was not in the room and rushed out to the foyer. She saw Theo up on the staircase and yelled out to him, but Theo fell. Upset, Bo called for an ambulance to head to the scene. Hope walked in to find Bo rushing to gather his coat and scarf on the way out the door. Noting the look on Bo's face, Hope questioned whether he had experienced another premonition. Worried, Bo said that he hoped not and told Hope to follow him.

1/6 Lexie rushed to her son's side and assessed his injuries, but he remained unconscious on the floor. Lexie ordered Stefano to call 911. However, when Stefano placed the call he learned that an ambulance had already been dispatched to the mansion. Just as the ambulance arrived at the DiMera mansion for Theo, Bo and Hope ran into the foyer of the mansion and surveyed the scene in shock. Lexie was surprised to learn that someone had called for an ambulance before Stefano, but, terrified for her son, Lexie rushed out the door as the paramedics pushed Theo's gurney out into the night. Stefano fretted aloud about his failure to notice that Theo had wandered away, but Hope assured him that the fall was just an accident.

Lexie cried out in fear as the doctor on call noted that Theo was no longer breathing. As Lexie chased her son back into the exam room, Bo lingered in the hallway and remarked to Hope that he was standing in the same spot he had been the night that he had learned about Zach. Daniel arrived at the hospital and took Theo upstairs for tests. A shivering Lexie stood quietly in the hallway as Hope tried to console her. Lexie told Hope that she knew that Hope understood how she felt, and thanked Hope and Bo for being there with her.

When Theo was returned to his room after the tests were complete, Bo stared at him through the window. As Hope put her arm around her husband, he confided that he did not want to have any premonitions if they did not give him the capability to prevent accidents like that. After Daniel completed his exam of Theo, he returned to the hallway and informed Lexie that Theo had suffered a subdural hematoma, which needed immediate surgery. Stefano stepped up and announced that he wanted to fly in a specialist, but Daniel cut him off, stating simply that there was no time to delay the surgery to relieve the pressure mounting on Theo's brain.

1/7 At the hospital, while Stefano, Bo, and Hope listened, Daniel informed Lexie that, unless Theo had surgery immediately, the boy would die. Lexie signed the consent form without hesitation, and Daniel rushed off to prepare for the procedure. An anxious Abe arrived, after Tony had reached him and filled him in about Theo's accident. When Lexie began berating herself for not watching Theo closely enough, Abe wouldn't hear it. He urged his wife not to be so hard on herself, and reassured her that he loved her very much.

Hope and Bo waited at the Brady Pub for news about Theo. Hope wanted to talk about Bo's visions, but he didn't want to discuss it. She pointed out that he'd only begun having them after he'd hit his head while hanging Christmas ornaments, resulting in a minor concussion. Bo countered that Kayla had checked him out and found nothing wrong, so Hope suggested that he should consider having more tests, or perhaps seeing a psychiatrist. Bo was dead set against that idea. Hope assured him that she didn't think he was crazy, but argued that the premonitions were clearly tormenting him. She said he should get reassurance that he truly was all right-and they both needed to understand what was going on. Bo gruffly declared that the only thing he needed was to keep the whole thing quiet.

Hope chided her husband for being stubborn, and he apologized. Ciara came dashing out from the kitchen just then, her hands full of cookies from Grandma Caroline, and climbed into her daddy's lap. Bo kissed the top of his daughter's head, snuggling her, and asked Hope to support his decision. "Okay," Hope replied. "For now." As Bo and Hope gathered up Ciara and her belongings, Abe called Hope's cell phone. A thrilled Hope immediately relayed the good news about Theo to Bo, and then told Abe that they'd come to the hospital right away. After hanging up, Hope told Ciara that her little friend Theo was going to be just fine, and the three of them shared a joyful family hug.

No BH 1/8 - 1/20

1/21 Bo and Hope met on the pier, where he lamented that they never got to spend time together anymore. Hope smiled patiently as Bo complained about not being out solving cases with her, and about the long, boring meetings he had to endure. She kissed him, murmuring, "Poor Brady," but he announced that he was going to quit. Hope sat Bo down on a bench, and he confessed that, while he was capable of doing the job, he simply missed his wife. Hope admitted she missed him, too, and missed working with him, but hadn't wanted to add to his stress by mentioning it. She urged him to give the decision some more thought, and invited him to join her at home. "I think you're in desperate need of a different kind of meeting," she teased, and they kissed.

Marlena, still maintaining her composure, refused to accept the blame for Charlotte's unhappy childhood. She suggested matter-of-factly that Charlotte just hadn't measured up, and cited John's treatment as an example. Suddenly, Charlotte lunged at Marlena with the needle, calling her a bitch, and Marlena knocked over a lamp to block her. They struggled, Marlena's hand gripping Charlotte's arm to keep her from using the needle. Finally Marlena hurled Charlotte into the corner behind the front door-just as John burst through it. As John hurried across the room to Marlena, Charlotte leapt out from behind the door and jabbed the needle into his neck. Horrified, Marlena helped him onto the sofa as he collapsed, while he mumbled, "It's all right. You're safe now."

A moment later, Bo and Hope rushed through the door, followed by Brady. Marlena had already taken charge, unbuttoning John's shirt and beginning CPR, while simultaneously ordering Bo to call an ambulance, and asking Brady to bring over her medical bag. Hope nabbed Charlotte, as Bo called the ambulance. Marlena continued CPR, vowing to John that she would not let him die.

1/22 Hope arrested Charlotte for trying to kill John by injecting him with an overdose of muscle relaxers. Charlotte bragged about what she did. Marlena and Bo did CPR on John, and they were able to revive him just as help arrived. Hope and Bo questioned Charlotte about why she stuck John with a syringe, and tried to trick Charlotte into telling them what substance was in the syringe. They told Charlotte that she would have a padded room in the psych ward. Charlotte said she didn't care what happened to her, but she was happy knowing that John would never be the same even if he did survive. Hope suggested Bo take Charlotte to the squad car before Hope did something unprofessional.

1/26 Steve, Kaya, Bo and Hope celebrate John’s memories returning and they toast to his reunion with Marlena at the pub. Abe stopped by the Brady Pub to pressure Bo to work harder at finding the mayor's killer, because Abe was under pressure to bring the killer to justice. Bo said he was working hard at finding the killer but it was difficult because the killer was a professional hit man. Lexie brought Theo by the pub to see Abe, and they were happy that Theo was okay after his accident at the DiMera mansion. Theo hugged Lexie, and she was overjoyed.

Bo had a premonition of someone holding a gun inside the hospital and firing. Bo filled Hope in on what Abe told him about catching the killer, and Bo assured Hope that he wasn't going to go outside the law to bring the killer to justice, since he was the commissioner. Bo asked for Steve's help in finding the killer, because Steve could work outside the law to find the mayor's killer. Steve was eager to help. Then Bo had another premonition. This time, it was someone picking up a gun and firing it inside the hospital. Steve sensed something was wrong with Bo, because he was very pale, so Bo told Steve about the premonitions he'd been having since he fell and bumped his head on Christmas. Steve joked about it, which angered Bo. Bo told Steve he had another vision, which involved Hope and a gun.

Bo thought a shot was fired from the gun, but he couldn't make out anything else, except that it felt like death. Bo told Steve how he wasn't able to do anything to help Theo when he had his premonition, but Bo thought that he could protect Hope by taking her off the murder investigation. Kayla, Hope, Abe, and Lexie were talking about Kayla's baby, and Theo asked if she was referring to Baby Joe and asked where the baby was. Kayla said Joe was at home with the babysitter. Lexie asked Hope to thank Ciara for the picture she drew for Theo, and Hope said Ciara missed Theo, so Lexie suggested they set up a play date. Abe wondered how the women managed to juggle their careers and still make time for their kids. Lexie said that while they loved their jobs, nothing was more important than family and friends.

Kayla wondered what Bo and Steve were talking about, and Bo said they were talking business. Kayla was worried about what that meant, but Steve assured her that it didn't mean they were going to run off on some adventure like they had in the past. Kayla was glad, because things had changed since the old days and because they had families. Bo said he felt it was time they did something about the fact that their jobs were pulling them apart. He told Hope he was taking her off the murder case, but Hope refused to be taken off the case. Hope wondered why Bo wanted her off the case, and he said he just didn't want her out in the field working that case. Hope asked Bo why he was trying to protect her all of a sudden. She figured out that he'd had another vision, but he lied and said that wasn't it. He made her promise to be careful. They said goodbye to Lexie, Abe, and Theo so they could spend some quality time together. Bo vowed to Abe to do whatever it took to find the mayor's killer.

Kayla and Steve decided to give Bo and Hope some privacy. Privately, Kayla asked Steve why Bo would take Hope off the case. Steve said he thought Bo made a good decision, and Kayla thought he was being chauvinistic. Steve said he was happy that Bo and Hope had their disagreement, because that meant Steve could have some quiet time with Kayla. Bo didn't want to fight with Hope over removing her from the case, and Hope wondered what he was hiding. Kayla pressed Steve to find out what he and Bo were talking about, and Steve said that Bo gave him a job and wanted him to start right away. But first, Steve wanted time alone with her.

1/30 Bo and Hope were at the Brady Pub, having coffee, when Bo had another vision. This time, he could tell it was at University Hospital. He saw Hope grabbing for a gun on the floor, and Kayla, in her white doctor's coat, ducking down as Hope fired the gun. Hope noticed that Bo seemed to have become distracted, and asked what was wrong. Bo claimed he was just preoccupied with the Marino murder. Hope reminded him that he hadn't told her what his last vision had been about, but Bo said he hadn't really been able to make out anything but jumbled images.

Steve arrived and announced that he had a lead on Marino's killer. He explained that he'd had a friend, who was a computer expert, do some digging, and that a corporation called Holtgren International had come up several times in the search. He then deduced that, since the company kept most of their millions of dollars worth of holdings at a bank that had a branch in Salem, Stefano was using Holtgren to bankroll his illegal activities-like hiring hit men. The three of them discussed their next step. Steve was saying that he wanted to investigate it a little further when he got a text message from Kayla. Suddenly, Bo's earlier vision became clearer: after Hope's gun went off, he could see that Kayla had been shot. While Hope called Roman, Steve noted that Bo seemed troubled, and asked if he'd had another premonition.

Bo reluctantly admitted that he had, and that it had involved Hope-and it seemed as if Kayla had been shot. He hastened to add that he couldn't be sure of anything, but Steve maintained that, until Bo was sure what the visions meant, they needed to keep Kayla and Hope apart. When Hope hung up, she said that Roman had proposed they check the security cameras at Holtgren's bank, to see if the killer had made any withdrawals. Bo suggested that perhaps a teller could identify the man, and they all hoped that the money trail would lead back to the DiMeras.

Steve rose to leave, and Hope started to walk out with him, as she was supposed to meet Kayla. Bo stopped her anxiously, but quickly covered, insisting that he just didn't want her to leave because he enjoyed her company. Steve chimed in, adding that Kayla had just been called to the hospital for an emergency. Once Steve had gone, Hope asked Bo why he really didn't want her to see Kayla. Bo hedged, claiming that he was just rattled about the Marino case-and that he needed Hope's input on it. Hope conceded, and teased him about letting his newfound power go to his head. She added that she was worried about him, but he assured her that he'd be fine as long as he had her by his side. He pulled his wife onto his lap, and she kissed him on the head as they held each other.

2/2 At the Brady Pub, Bo told Hope that their personal lives would need to be put on hold indefinitely while he worked on the case of the mayor's murder. Bo tried to keep Hope from figuring out that he had a vision of her shooting Kayla at the hospital. Hope had wanted to go shopping with Kayla, but he told Hope that she could see Kayla some other time. He suggested that he and Hope take Ciara to the zoo, but Hope wondered why that couldn't wait. Bo claimed he was jealous that Hope wanted to spend so much time with Kayla, and Hope said Bo was working day and night and hardly had time anyway. Hope didn't buy Bo's excuses and demanded to know the real reason he didn't want Hope hanging out with Kayla. He claimed it was because he missed Hope, and she said she felt the same way, but she missed Kayla, too, and wanted to spend time with her.

Kayla called Hope asking for Bo, but he had gone to the police station. Hope agreed to come to the hospital to meet Kayla. When Hope got to the hospital, Kayla filled her in on what happened with her patient, and how she suspected the man was the mayor's killer. Daniel gave Kayla and Hope an update on the killer's condition, and suggested he go with Hope to check on the killer when he was paged to another floor. Kayla went in to check on the killer while Hope called for backup. As Kayla approached the room, the killer grabbed her from behind and told everyone to back off or he would kill her. Bo heard the message Hope left for him saying she was going to the hospital to talk to Kayla about what might be a break in the case, so he ran off to the hospital. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Hope pulled her gun on the killer, but the killer said if Hope shot at him, Kayla would die.

2/3 At Salem Hospital, Hope held the hit man at gunpoint while he held Kayla in a choke hold and threatened to snap her neck. Lexie came around the corner and took in the scene, then slowly backed into a nearby hallway to call Roman and tell him about the hostage situation. The hit man ordered Hope to put her weapon on the ground, and Kayla reminded Hope that he had killed Mayor Marino. Hope reluctantly placed her gun on the floor, but the hit man refused to let go of Kayla. As the hit man looked for a way to escape, Hope offered herself as a hostage instead of Kayla. The hit man refused and instead ordered Hope to find an exit for him. Hope begged the hit man to give her time, but the killer only gripped Kayla tighter. A police officer tried to creep up behind the hit man, but the hit man was ready for him, and managed to knock the officer out while still keeping a hand on Kayla's coat.

With a clear shot at the hit man, Hope dropped to the ground and grabbed her gun. At the last moment, the hit man pulled Kayla into the path of the bullet and then threw her to the ground. Bo and Steve rushed in, and Bo shot the hit man just before he could shoot Hope with the downed officer's pistol. Steve dove to the floor to protect Kayla, as the hit man fell to the ground, dead. Lexie rushed over to examine Kayla's gunshot wound, and quickly carted her down the hall to assess the damage. "My God. What have I done?" Hope stammered. As Hope muttered to herself about what transpired, Bo tried to comfort her and assured her that if anyone was to blame, it was him. The confusion quickly melted from Hope's face as she realized what Bo was saying. Hope asked him whether he had a vision of the shooting, but Bo evaded the question.

2/5 At home, Hope picked up her weapon and remembered how she had accidentally shot Kayla. She and Bo got into an argument over how Bo didn't tell her about his vision of her shooting Kayla at the hospital. Bo tried to explain that he felt his mind was just playing tricks on him, and he tried to console Hope by saying she did what she had to do given that it was a hostage situation. Chelsea interrupted their argument by offering to take care of Ciara while Bo and Hope sorted out their problems. Hope told Chelsea that Ciara had a sleepover and hadn't returned home, so Chelsea offered to pick Ciara up after school. Hope tried to hurry Bo off to his community relations meeting. Bo didn't think the meeting was a big deal, but Hope disagreed. She said it was a good idea for him to go by the book. After Bo left, Hope planned to go to work herself, but Chelsea said it was bold of Hope to go back to work so soon after Kayla's shooting.

Max ran into Bo in the park, and Bo explained that he was playing hooky from work and that he was in the doghouse with Hope. Max suggested Bo and Hope go away together while Max and Chelsea would take care of Ciara, but Bo said it was the wrong time to take a vacation. Then, Bo got some news and went home. After Hope found out that Kayla's condition had improved, she told Chelsea that she didn't feel like having company. Chelsea said she understood what Hope was going through, wondering whether people would ever look at her the same way again. Hope was only concerned about how Kayla would feel about her. Chelsea tried to console Hope over shooting Kayla, but Hope blamed herself. Chelsea wondered what was going on between Hope and Bo.

When Bo got home, Hope was there, and the phone rang. Bo told her not to answer it, because it was internal affairs. Hope asked if it was standard protocol for internal affairs to investigate whenever an officer shot a civilian, but Bo didn't answer.

2/9 Abe visited Bo at home to discuss the shooting of the mayor's assassin at the hospital, but Bo was feeling guilty about not telling Hope about his vision of her shooting Kayla. Bo explained how his vision helped save Theo's life when he fell down the stairs at the DiMera mansion. Abe told Bo to explain to Hope that Bo didn't want to alarm her and that's why he didn't tell her about her vision. But Bo said he tried to explain it to Hope, but it didn't work.

Hope visited Kayla at the hospital and asked for forgiveness for shooting Kayla. Kayla said she forgave Hope and told her not to blame herself. Hope said she wished she could have prevented the shooting. Then she filled Kayla in on Bo's visions, including the vision of Hope and Kayla. Hope admitted that Bo told one other person about his visions and then Steve walked in. Kayla couldn't believe that Steve knew about Bo's vision about the shooting and said nothing to Kayla about it.

When Hope returned home, Bo offered her plane tickets to Hawaii and asked her to go away with him. She wasn't in the mood to go away with Bo. She kept obsessing about how she could have done things differently, but Bo told her she did all she could in the situation given the circumstances. Hope told Bo of her plan to take Ciara and move into Doug and Julie's place while they were away. Bo demanded to know what the point was that Hope was moving out, but she didn't know. She said she needed some space to think. Bo told her to leave and to take care of herself.

2/16 Bo asked Hope why she wasn't returning his calls, and she said it was for the same reason that she moved out of the house, because she was still upset about what happened. Hope was afraid she was going to lose her job, but Bo said it wouldn't come to that, and he promised to make it up to her. Abe and Roman walked up while they were talking, and Roman asked if everything was okay. Kayla tried to get out of her hospital bed so she could testify at Hope's police hearing, but Steve tried to stop her. Kayla thought she could help Hope keep her job, and maybe it would help Bo and Hope stay together.

At her hearing, Roman and Bo testified about what happened at the hospital when Hope accidentally shot Kayla. The officials wanted to know if the rules allowed Hope to fire at will in a hostage situation. Bo told them firing at will required the direct verbal command of the ranking officer on the scene and Hope didn't receive that order. Bo tried to give more positive testimony on Hope's behalf, but the review board stopped him and made a note that he was married to Hope. The board told them they needed time to confer. Kayla interrupted the meeting and demanded to testify on Hope's behalf. After Kayla's testimony, a board member mentioned that Kayla was related to Hope through marriage. After the hearing, Hope walked out of the room, handed Bo her badge, and walked off.

2/17 At the police station Hope handed her badge over to Bo. Apologizing for her suspension, Bo said, "I'm sorry this happened."

"So am I," Hope said firmly. Hope reminded Bo that she believed in his visions and that she could not stop thinking that if he had told her about his vision of Kayla that the shooting could have been avoided.

"I'll never forgive myself," Hope said shaking her head.
"Or me?" Bo asked. Frustrated, Bo offered to head into the boardroom and change their minds about the suspension, but Hope asked him to back off. Hope added that their problems were not just limited to the suspension.

"After everything we've been through we're gonna let this come between us? That's crazy!" Bo pleaded. Holding back her emotions, Hope said that she did not know how to get past it because she would always have the memory of seeing Kayla lying on the floor, bleeding. Bo begged Hope not to shut him out, because their marriage was worth fighting for. When Hope refused to go home with him, Bo asked her to go home with him for Ciara's sake. Upset, Hope said she was not ready to go home and that she was not sure when she would be ready.

2/24 Hope took Ciara to the park to meet Bo, who was thrilled to see his little girl. When Bo told Ciara how much he'd missed her, she asked, "Daddy, when can I come home?" Hope reminded Ciara that she could visit her daddy any time, and then asked Bo to drop Ciara off at the pub later. Though Hope didn't think it was a good idea, Bo wanted to talk privately with his wife. He sent Ciara to the playground a few yards away, and as she scampered off, a Bo asked Hope if they could ever work things out. Hope pointed out that all the problems in their marriage had been because Bo didn't trust her. She added that they always swore never to lie or withhold information from each other, yet he had again and she didn't think things would ever change.

Bo refused to let her walk away from a lifetime together because of a few mistakes, and asked what he could do to make things right. Hope replied that she just needed some space to figure things out. Bo insisted that she could figure things out at home, with their family. As their argument escalated, Ciara returned, and pleaded, "Stop fighting, please!" Bo and Hope knelt down and apologized to their daughter, promising not to fight any more. Hope then gently announced that it was nearly bedtime, so Bo hugged and kissed Ciara goodbye. Hope took her little girl by the hand and the two of them walked away, leaving a forlorn Bo alone in the park.

2/27 At the police station, Hope stopped by to drop off a report for a case she had been working on before her suspension. Suspicious, Bo theorized that the paperwork was just an excuse to visit him because Hope missed him. At first Hope denied it, but soon admitted that she desperately missed Bo.

"I needed to be on my own. That doesn't mean I stopped loving you," Hope cried out. Bo explained that he was also feeling guilt, sympathy, and loneliness, but the difference was that he was not the one that needed to be alone. Hurt, Bo asked Hope to have sympathy for his feelings and get out of his sight if she did not want to be with him. Both tired, Bo and Hope apologized to one another, and, looking relieved, Hope asked Bo to hold her. Bo scooped Hope into his arms and she admitted that she was ready to come home. Cautious, Bo asked why the sudden change of heart.

Hope explained that she had seen the light and wanted to deal with her issues in the company of her family. Hope then asked Bo to promise to tell her if he had any more visions. Relieved, Bo readily agreed to Hope's terms. Hope headed off to Alice's to pack, leaving Bo alone in his office. After Hope left, Bo had a vision of Hope lying in bed and he stared into space, worried about his latest vision.

3/4 Bo was relaxing at home, when he had a vision of Hope in bed, making love with another man. Hope could tell something was bothering him, so she asked him what it was. Bo admitted that their separation had hurt him a lot. Hope promised she would never leave again, but noted that he seemed to still be brooding. Bo confessed that he'd had another vision, and haltingly told Hope what he'd seen. A dismayed Hope joked that she wished he could have a premonition about their winning the lottery instead of something so awful.

Bo reminded Hope that they'd agreed that he would share any further visions he had, because the one he'd kept to himself about her shooting Kayla had later come true. Hope teased that she'd be sure not to bring any strange men to the bedroom. Bo didn't laugh, wanting only to know whether she'd come back to him because she'd wanted to, or because she'd felt she had to. Hope reassured him that he was the only man she would ever love, and playfully suggested that she'd like to prove it to him. Bo happily agreed, and they scampered up the stairs together, shedding clothing as they went.

3/5 Bo had a nightmare of Hope having sex with another man. Hope woke him up and said his paranoia had to stop. Hope thought his latest vision was the result of his guilty conscience over when Hope shot Kayla. She thought he was punishing himself. Bo pointed out that Hope used to believe in his visions, but all of a sudden, she thought his mind was playing tricks on him. Bo felt bad that he wasn't able to protect Theo or his sister from getting hurt, but he hoped he would be able to protect Hope. Hope said it felt like Bo really believed she would cheat on him. Bo pointed out Hope's hypocrisy, because she said he should believe his visions, and yet with the latest vision, she was acting like he was crazy to think it might come true. Hope said it was because this time was different, and she said that her decision to move out of the house subconsciously made him doubt her loyalty to him. Hope decided to call Bo's visions "thoughts" - bad thoughts that had no basis in reality. Hope said Bo had control over his thoughts and could put them out of his mind, because no one would ever come between them.

As Max was descending the stairs of the Brady home, Bo was in the living room drinking a cup of coffee. Max had an awkward moment with Bo, and Chelsea ran downstairs in her robe to give Max his wallet, which he had left behind. Max tried to explain to Bo why he spent the night, and then Hope came downstairs and said hi to Chelsea and Max. Hope realized she didn't hear the doorbell, but Bo told her it didn't ring, because Max had spent the night. Chelsea thought that Hope was still staying with Hope's grandmother and that Bo was supposed to be in Chicago on police business.

Bo told her not to change the subject, and Hope said she and Bo worked out their differences. Hope offered to get them some breakfast, but Bo told her it could wait until Max explained what he was doing in Bo's house. Max said he and Chelsea were out late the night before, and they ended up at the house. Bo asked Max if he spent the night under Bo's roof in Chelsea's bed, and Max admitted he did. Max tried to apologize to Bo for disrespecting him, but Bo threw Max out. Chelsea got angry at Bo and ran upstairs. Hope didn't agree with how Bo handled the situation, and Bo pointed out that Max and Chelsea had sex in their house, not some motel. Hope said at least Chelsea wasn't having sex with some long-haired biker. Bo agreed to chase Max down and make things right, but Hope volunteered to go after Max while Bo made things right with Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Chelsea was upstairs packing her clothes. Bo knocked on the door, but she told him to go away. Bo said he wanted to apologize, so she opened the door. He admitted he overreacted, and said he would always be protective of her no matter how old she was, but she didn't want his protection when it came to her love life, and he didn't get a say either way. Hope went to the Cheatin' Heart to talk to Max and tell him that Bo was sorry, and Max wondered why Bo wasn't there to apologize. Hope said that was because she told Bo to talk to Chelsea, and Bo was dealing with some personal issues. Max agreed to forgive Bo, and Hope said she hoped that Chelsea was as forgiving as Max was.

Back at Bo's house, Bo admitted to Chelsea that he might be overcompensating for missing out on the years he lost being her father. Chelsea said she was mortified by the way Bo handled the situation, and she asked him to apologize to Max. Bo agreed to tell Max he was sorry. Chelsea said she couldn't make her own mistakes if she was living at home, and she planned to move out. Chelsea came downstairs and said goodbye to Bo and explained that she'd be staying at Stephanie's house for a few days. Bo sat down and had another vision of Hope having sex with someone.

Hope saw Daniel at the park, and she asked if he was okay. Daniel lied and said he was, and Hope didn't believe him. Daniel denied that he was lying and said he couldn't complain. Hope apologized for getting in his business. She told him he was listed among Salem's most eligible bachelors in Salem Style magazine. Daniel couldn't believe he was on that list, because he didn't consider himself a bachelor. She hoped that meant he found someone who made him happy, and she said she cared because he was good to Bo when Bo was sick.

3/11 Bo was filing some paperwork in his office when he had another vision of Hope in bed with another man. Abe arrived and noted that something seemed to be bothering Bo, but Bo insisted everything was fine. Abe then gave Bo a file, and Bo smiled when he saw its contents.

Daniel ran into Hope as she was dining solo at the Brady Pub. When he saw Chloe and Lucas, he asked to join Hope. She admitted she wasn't in a great mood, so he offered to listen to whatever was bothering her, since she'd done the same for him recently. Hope vented her frustrations about not being able to work. Daniel observed that she was a workaholic, just like he was, adding that he felt she'd been wrongly suspended. Hope tried to argue that what she'd done was wrong, because she'd shot Kayla, but Daniel gently contended that she should try to forgive herself.

Abe arrived and informed Hope that she'd been reinstated, but only if she still wanted her job, he added with a wink. Hope gave him a grateful hug. Daniel congratulated her warmly, then excused himself and left. When Bo came in, he gave Abe a hard time for telling Hope the good news without him. Abe proclaimed that the two of them should celebrate, and bade them goodbye. Bo gave his wife a joyful kiss. Bo and Hope arrived right behind Roman, and welcomed Sami home with joyful hugs, their laughter filling the office. Roman introduced Rafe to Bo and Hope, as Sami praised her former bodyguard's work. Sami then left so Rafe could finish his application.

Roman and Bo went into Bo's office to discuss the possibility of Rafe's joining the Salem PD. Roman noted that Rafe's report about the hit man seemed incomplete, but suspected it was because he'd had to bend the rules a bit while protecting Sami. They shared a knowing chuckle about cops who didn't follow orders, but Roman worried that Rafe might take things a little too far. Bo watched Hope and Rafe chatting and laughing in the outer office, and immediately his premonition about Hope returned. Roman emphasized that he owed Rafe for saving Sami's life. Bo maintained that Roman could get Rafe a job, but it would have to be elsewhere, as Salem didn't have the budget to hire him.

When Bo emerged from his office, Hope excitedly informed him that Rafe could play first base on the precinct team. Bo shook Rafe's hand and took his application, and then Rafe left. When Bo didn't share Hope's enthusiasm for hiring the obviously qualified Rafe, she accused him of being jealous. Bo insisted he wasn't jealous, only that they didn't have the budget to hire anyone else. He reluctantly added that he'd just had another vision. Hope urged him to try not to think about it. Bo then closed the blinds, declaring with a mischievous grin that he needed to welcome her back in private. Hope gladly accepted his congratulatory smooch.

3/17 Bo and Brady sat at a table having a drink, when Brady questioned Bo about whether there were any leads on the computer sabotage at Titan. Confused, Bo asked Brady what he was referencing. Brady was stunned to learn that Philip had not reported the incident to the police, and he updated Bo on the computer worm and the destruction it wreaked. When Brady noted that the plans for the alternative fuels program on both the computer and the separate hard disk were destroyed, Bo guessed that the DiMeras were involved.

Max was walking by the table as Bo and Brady discussed the sabotage, and jokingly asked whether they suspected Melanie of the problem. Before Bo could respond, Melanie walked through the door and said hello to them. When the group was silent at her greeting, a suspicious Melanie asked what they had blamed her for that time. Bo asked Melanie whether she had any contact with the DiMeras, but Melanie denied the charge. Brady asked Max if he had any documents to reconstruct Nick's work, but Max responded, "I don't think so."

At the Kiriakis mansion, an upset Victor discussed the sabotage with Philip, Bo, and Brady. Victor screamed at Philip for neglecting to tell the police about the crime, and Bo jumped in to remind Philip that withholding evidence was a criminal offense. Pouting, Philip countered that he would not lose, and stormed out of the room. Frustrated, Victor warned Brady to choose between the Kiriakis and DiMera families, but Brady insisted that he had never considered himself a DiMera. Bo agreed to talk to the federal government for leads, and pleaded with Victor to leave the investigation up to the police.

Bo met with Philip in the foyer and asked him to provide a timeline of the events the night of the computer sabotage. When Bo also asked for a list of contacts with the DiMera family for Philip and Melanie, Philip quietly defended Melanie's innocence regarding the computer worm. Stephanie told Philip that she believed in him. After Philip headed back into the living room, Bo cautioned Stephanie to note that Philip was in "a bad place" and that she should be careful.

At the hospital, Hope walked over to say hello to Daniel and the two of them chatted for a bit. Noting the look of stress on Daniel's face, Hope offered to lend an ear to Daniel. "I was sort of wondering how doing the right thing can feel so wrong," Daniel sighed. Hope playfully questioned Daniel about whether he was referring to a relationship, and she renewed her offer to talk. Daniel declined. After her volunteer shift at the hospital, Hope was surprised to find Daniel was still at the hospital. Daniel noted that he had been held late, but that he was headed home. Still worried about Daniel, Hope invited him to join her for a cup of coffee, suggesting that though he might not want to talk, he probably needed to. Daniel admitted that he needed the company, so Hope linked her arm in his and they started to walk down the hallway.

Bo walked through the doors nearby and spotted Hope and Daniel walking together closely. Bo marched over to Hope and, sensing Bo's awkwardness, Daniel excused himself so that Bo and Hope could spend the evening alone together. Jealous, Bo asked Hope what she was talking to Daniel about, and annoyed, she cautioned him not to read anything into her conversation with Daniel. Insulted by Bo's continued suspicions that she was going to have an affair, Hope assured Bo that she would never be with another man. Bo and Hope decided to celebrate her first day back on the job by spending the evening together. However, when Bo hugged his wife, he had another vision of her in bed with a man. This time, he heard Hope say, "Poor Bo. He had visions this was happening, but of course I told him he was being ridiculous. There is no man other than him that I loved. I have to say it was one of my best performances." Horrified by his latest vision, Bo pulled away from Hope's arms.

3/19 At the Brady Pub, Bo was happy to see Will. While they were talking, Mia came in. When Will came back from the kitchen with a plate of food and noticed Mia was gone, Will asked Bo if he'd seen where Mia went. Bo told him she'd left, and he suggested Will call her later. Will said he didn't have Mia's number, and even if he did, he wouldn't call her, because she was nuts for sneaking off like she did.

3/24 At the Brady Pub, Bo talked to Jake Donahue, a reporter from the Spectator. Jake interviewed Bo about his job, and just as he was asking about working with his brother, Roman, Hope walked in and joined the interview. Hope explained to Jake that their relationship worked because they did their jobs and did not take the work home with them. When Roman arrived at the pub, Jake headed off to a corner to interview him, while Bo stayed behind with Hope. Hope explained to Bo that she was worried their problems would come out, and questioned Bo for more details about his vision. Still hurt, Hope reminded Bo that she thought his vision was crazy and begged him not to take it seriously. Bo admitted that he did not know who the man was in his vision, but that the most recent vision he had made him feel like Hope really wanted to be with the guy.

Hope urged Bo to ignore the vision, but Bo countered that he could not ignore it any more than he could ignore the visions of Theo or Kayla. Reaching across the table and grabbing Bo's hand, Hope pleaded with him to believe in their love and trust her. Softening, Bo admitted that he did believe and trust in her, but that he was having difficulty letting go of the vision. Trying to smooth things over with his wife, Bo suggested to Hope that they have a date night. Hope excitedly agreed and left to call the sitter. While leaving the pub. Bo smiled back at his brother, and then recoiled when he had his vision of Hope in bed with another man again. This time, Bo saw the face of the man. To his utter horror, Bo realized the mystery man was Roman.

3/25 Bo was drinking coffee at the Brady Pub when he again had another vision of Hope in bed with a mystery man, only this time he saw that the man was Roman. Hope returned from the back, and told Bo that the sitter could stay with Ciara a while longer, so their date night was on. Seeing the stricken look on her husband's face, Hope reminded Bo that he'd promised to let it go. She urged him to try to believe that he could control his visions. Bo's premonition of Hope in bed with Roman immediately returned, but he ignored it, assuring his wife that he just wanted to enjoy their date night. He admitted that he was a little stressed about a meeting he had to attend the next day, because he missed detective work. Hope suggested playfully that he needed a distraction. After kissing him, she gently asked him to stop using his visions to punish himself-and to believe in her love for him.

Hope was leaving the pub to take some dessert to Ciara, just as Bo got a call from Chelsea. Chelsea said that she needed to discuss something with him, so he agreed to meet her at the Cheatin' Heart. When Bo joined Chelsea at her table, he confessed that he'd missed her. Chelsea echoed the sentiment, but observed that something was bothering him, and asked what it was. Bo didn't want to talk about himself, preferring to hear how things were in Chelsea's life. Chelsea tried to get a sense of how her dad felt about her continuing to see Max. Bo would only insist that if she were happy, then he was happy. He asked her to move back home, and promised to try not to be so overprotective of her, if she'd pretend to take his advice occasionally. Chelsea reassured her dad that she wasn't still mad at him, but informed him that she was getting an apartment with Stephanie. She was surprised when Bo thought it was a good idea. Chelsea then wanted to know how things were going between Bo and Hope. Bo assured her that everything was fine, except that he was late for a date with his wife. He kissed Chelsea and left.

When Hope returned to the pub, she found Roman sitting at the bar. She greeted her brother-in-law with a hug, but was a little surprised that Bo wasn't there. Roman sensed that she was concerned about something, and Hope admitted, "I think Bo needs help." Roman asked whether she meant psychological help. Hope hedged, explaining that Bo was anxious about work and just hadn't been himself. Roman pointed out that running the police department was a difficult enough job without all the changes Abe was making. Hope conceded with relief that Bo did tend to take things to heart, and thanked Roman for listening. Bo returned just as Hope was giving Roman a grateful hug, and he stopped cold when he spotted them through the window. Bo went inside and announced that he was canceling their date night because he had to go to the office. He abruptly turned and left with no further explanation, as a crestfallen Hope was left to wonder what was going on.

3/27 Hope found Bo at the Brady Pub, and greeted her husband with a kiss. He claimed he'd had some things to take care of on his way to work, so he'd left before she was up. Hope reminded him that he'd also cancelled their date the night before with no explanation, and maintained that he just didn't want to be around her. She urged him to be honest about what was going on with him. Bo reluctantly admitted that he was still having visions all of the time. He added that Hope had accused him of not trusting her, but at the same time, she didn't believe what he said. Hope apologized, acknowledging that she was wrong, and Bo apologized for canceling their date so abruptly.

They briefly discussed how Chelsea was looking for an apartment to share with Stephanie. Hope said that Chelsea could sense that there was something going on with Bo. When Bo didn't respond, Hope noted that he seemed even more upset than before. She gently asked if he had seen the man's face in his visions about her and another man. Bo reminded Hope that she'd told him to try to suppress his visions, but she was pushing him to talk about them. Hope admitted that he was right. As they were making up, Hope was called away on police business. After Hope asked Bo to pick up a prescription at the hospital for Ciara, they kissed goodbye.

3/30 Philip told Bo that Nicole saw the confrontation with Tony before Tony's accident. Bo pressed Philip to tell him everything that happened before Tony was hurt, and Philip said he'd told him everything. So Bo made a phone call asking for help with the case. Bo told Philip he'd called Hope to interrogate Philip, since Philip was Bo's brother as Bo was too close to the case. Though Hope had a connection, she was one step removed from Philip, Bo said. Philip was nervous because he had been afraid that Bo had called another officer to arrest him instead of Hope. Bo sensed that Philip was keeping something from him. Philip wouldn't tell Bo what his fight with Tony was about.

When Hope arrived, she tried to get the truth from Philip, but all he would say was that it had to do with confidential trade secrets. Bo was fed up, so he threatened to call Victor, and Philip agreed to talk. Philip told Hope and Bo exactly how the accident occurred, and Bo said if Nicole backed up his story, Philip would be free and clear. Philip felt Nicole might say anything. Hope asked Daniel if Tony's injuries looked like a direct fall or a deliberate wounding. Daniel said because of the upward angle of the wound, it looked like Tony fell on the wood stake, but Daniel wasn't so sure whether Tony fell or was pushed.

3/31 Bo told Hope that he believed Philip was telling the truth. Nicole attempted to walk away as she saw Hope approaching, but Hope stopped her and demanded that Nicole tell her what happened. Furious, Nicole reminded Hope that the last time they had a discussion, it had ended with Nicole being arrested for a murder she did not commit. Nicole walked around Hope and screamed that she had no intention of giving Hope another minute of her time. When Hope returned to question Nicole, a frantic Nicole refused to say anything more to Hope until she learned whether Tony was going to be okay.

4/1 Hope pressed Nicole to quit stalling, threatening to charge her with obstruction of justice if she didn't divulge whether Tony's fall was an accident. When Brady arrived, he assumed Nicole was a suspect, which only made Hope more suspicious of Nicole. At last, Nicole began to describe what had happened at the pier but E.J. interrupted to declare that Philip had killed Tony. E.J. continued that Tony had left him a message, and showed Hope the crumpled note on which Tony had managed to scrawl only the letter "B." E.J. explained that Tony had been desperate to tell him something, but E.J. had no idea what the note meant. He added angrily that he wanted Philip charged with murder. Brady pointed out that it wasn't E.J.'s decision.

4/3 At the Brady Pub, Bo told Hope that the D.A. had ruled that Tony's death was an accident, and wouldn't pressing charges against Philip. Roman arrived and commended them both on their work the night before. Bo suddenly had another vision of Roman and Hope in bed together. When Bo and Roman were alone, Bo asked his brother to stay away from Hope until further notice. Roman asked if something were wrong, but Bo insisted nothing was. When a lead she'd been following fell through, Hope went by the Brady Pub, where she joined Roman at the bar. Roman made an excuse and rose to leave, but Hope stopped him. She asked if he were leaving because of something Bo said. Roman insisted he was just running late, and rushed out the door.

Sami found Bo at the Java Café, after learning from his office where he was. Sami asked for her uncle's advice, because she thought he might understand better than anyone. Bo listened patiently as Sami explained that she knew she had hurt Will by lying to him about who his father was. She asked if Bo thought Will would ever get over it. Bo said no. Sami asserted that Caroline had kept Bo's true paternity a secret, because she hadn't wanted him to grow up with Victor for a father. "A lie is a lie," Bo replied. As Sami hurriedly rose to leave, she stopped in front of a newsstand when she spied a headline about Tony's death. Horrified, she asked Bo if it were true. He was surprised that she didn't already know.

4/14 At the Java Café, Hope arrived looking for Officer Thompson to discuss the logistics for their planned drug bust that morning. Instead, Hope found Roman sitting at the counter. Roman explained that Officer Thompson had the flu and that Roman was the replacement on the case. Hope thought about Bo telling her about his vision and asking her to stay away from Roman. Roman got a phone call from his informant, telling him that the drug deal was no longer going to be at the pier, but was instead going to take place across town at the Hacienda Hotel shortly. In a hurry, Hope and Roman ran out the door.

At Bo and Hope's house, Bo tossed and turned in his sleep, dreaming of his vision of Hope in bed with Roman. Horrified, Bo awoke with a start and had another vision, but this time he learned that the event in his vision occurred on April 14th, that day. Bo noticed a letter from Hope on the nightstand, which read that she was heading down to the Java Café to meet Officer Thompson about a drug bust.

Down at the Java Café, a frantic Bo rushed in and learned from Maggie that Hope had already left. Worried, Maggie noted that Bo seemed distracted and asked him what was wrong. Bo had another vision, and ,noting his paleness, Maggie reiterated her concern for him. Bo explained that he was fine, and Maggie left. Officer Chatsworth walked into the Java Café and informed Bo that drug bust was no longer at the pier but, because communication was down, they did not know where Roman and Hope were observing the drug deal. Officer Chatsworth attempted to track down Roman's informant, but he had disappeared.

At the Hacienda Hotel, Roman advised Hope to turn off her cell phone so that the drug dealers could not track the signal. Roman then attempted to call in to central, but the line seemed to be jammed. Citing the fact that the hotel was owned by the drug dealer's brother, Roman determined that the landline was likely not safe to use to call in to the police, either. While Roman peeked out the window at the drug dealer, Hope brought over a cup of coffee for him. Roman unexpectedly spun around and caused Hope to spill coffee all over her clothes. After changing into a robe, Hope rejoined Roman. Roman noted that she had a damp washcloth on her hand, and Hope explained that she had a burn on her hand from the coffee.

Roman reached for her hand to have a look, and Hope pulled back quickly saying, "Just don't touch me!" Embarrassed, Hope apologized for overreacting. Arching her eyebrow, Hope asked Roman whether Bo had told him to stay away from her. Before Roman could respond, Hope looked out the window and noticed that the buyer had arrived outside. As Hope described the scene, she pulled back from the window and told Roman that she believed she had been spotted by one of the dealers. Roman and Hope then noticed that someone was attempting to open the door to their motel room. Pulling out their guns, Hope and Roman ran over to the door and waited to greet the intruder.

4/15 Officer Chatsworth found Bo at the Java Café, and told him that their informant had completely disappeared. Frustrated and anxious, Bo instructed Chatsworth to return to the police station to try to find out where Hope and Roman's stakeout was.

At the Hacienda Motel, Hope told Roman she couldn't get a signal on either their radio or her cell phone. Suddenly, they heard someone trying to open the door, and both jumped into position on either side of it, guns drawn. They were relieved but annoyed when it turned out to be the maid. Hope, pretending to be Roman's lover, emerged from the bathroom wearing a robe. Not wanting to intrude, the maid quickly left. Later, Chatsworth advised Bo that the police suspected something was happening at the Hacienda Motel. Hope alerted Roman that a group of armed men had just gotten out of a car outside, and were heading toward the motel. Again, they both drew their guns and got into position on either side of the door, expecting the bad guys at any moment. Suddenly, Bo broke through the door with a crash. Once they realized they were all safe, and not the criminals, the three of them breathed a huge sigh of relief, and holstered their weapons.

Hope looked out the window and was amazed to see that Bo had already taken down all of their suspects. Roman congratulated his brother, then left to help the other officers. As Hope put her arms around Bo, he looked around the motel room, realizing that it was exactly like his visions. Hope couldn't believe that he would think the worst after finding her and Roman in a motel room. She started explaining that she'd had to change into the robe because she spilled coffee on her shirt. Bo stopped her, declaring with a smile that his visions had been right about everything-except the reason Roman and Hope were there. Hope made him promise not to keep anything from her again, because they were a team, and could deal with everything together. Bo happily concurred, and they embraced again.

4/22 Bo showed up at the hospital and asked Victor what was going on? Victor informed him that Stefano had put a hit on Philip. Stefano bellowed that there was no evidence to back up Victor's claims. Victor and Stefano got into a shouting match, with Bo trying to referee and get the full story, and Kate trying to ascertain if Victor's allegations were true. As they were all arguing loudly, an appalled Stephanie walked in. "Doesn't anyone care about Philip?" she demanded. Stephanie told them all that Philip's heart had stopped, and then collapsed in tears in Bo's arms. Kate was similarly distraught, and begged Victor to let her go to Philip's room. Victor managed to calm her, urging her to wait and let Daniel do his job. They all tried to heed Victor's advice, and to have faith that Philip would pull through. Bo advised Victor that there would be a guard on Philip's room around the clock until the police determined what had happened.

As Stefano and Victor were beginning another heated exchange, Daniel emerged from Philip's room. Kate and Stephanie rushed over, as Daniel informed everyone that they'd managed to restart Philip's heart, and get him stabilized. He explained that Philip's lung had collapsed, and that he'd lost a lot of blood, but the doctors would continue to monitor him for internal bleeding. Daniel added that he wasn't going to allow visitors for a while, but he was hoping for the best. Bo quietly pulled Stephanie aside, asking her to describe what had happened. Just as Stephanie had finished giving Bo her statement, Chloe rushed in. Stephanie filled her in on what had happened, but started to break down. Bo assured both of them that Philip was going to make it.

Stefano followed Kate back into the waiting room, trying gently to convince her that he had nothing to do with Philip's shooting, but she refused to listen. She reminded him that the one thing they'd always had in common was their love for their children. "Philip is my baby, and you tried to snuff out his life," she cried. Stefano continued trying to reason with her until she shrieked at him to get out. Bo interrupted and declared that Stefano wasn't going anywhere until he'd answered some questions. "He's all yours," Kate agreed as she stalked out. After Stefano swore that he'd been at his son's wedding when Philip was shot, Bo wanted to know if Stefano had communicated with anyone during the ceremony. Stefano calmly replied that Bo should direct his questions to Stefano's lawyer, and then strolled out.

4/23 Bo confronted Stefano at the Java Café about his involvement in Philip's shooting. Bo wondered why Stefano wasn't at the hospital on a deathwatch, and Stefano played dumb. Bo threatened Stefano. He said that Stefano tried to kill Philip but didn't succeed and that if Stefano even looked at Bo's brother wrong, Bo would put the final nail in Stefano's coffin.

4/29 Hope got a phone call from Bo, and learned that the guy who'd shot Philip was a pro, who had since fled to South America. She asked if she could question Stefano personally about the shooting. When Hope arrived at the mansion and asked to speak to Stefano, Nicole replied that he wasn't home, and tried to get rid of Hope. Hope refused to leave, so Nicole reluctantly let her into the foyer. Hope was surprised that E.J. and Nicole had gone ahead with the wedding, so soon after Tony's death, and wondered why they weren't on their honeymoon. Nicole stated that they had postponed the honeymoon, and maintained that they'd proceeded with the wedding to "break up some of the sadness." Hope was skeptical. Nicole's voice rose defensively as she justified her new family's actions, and Sydney began to cry from the living room. Nicole rushed in to soothe her child, and Hope followed. Hope gently remarked that Sydney was beautiful, but then got right back to business, asking about Stefano's demeanor during the wedding. When Nicole insisted that she didn't know anything about Philip's shooting, Hope accused her of lying for her new husband and father-in-law.

Nicole angrily ordered Hope to leave, but Hope pointed out that E.J. would at least pretend to cooperate with the police. She then demanded to know why E.J. wasn't at home with his new bride and beautiful baby. Nicole declared that she didn't have to keep tabs on her husband, because she trusted him, and told Hope to pump someone else for information. Hope asserted that the police already had a good lead, and urged Nicole to think about Sydney. "E.J. DiMera is not worthy of your loyalty, nor your love!" Hope declared. Hope then warned Nicole that the DiMeras would eventually destroy Nicole-and Sydney. An indignant Nicole again ordered Hope to leave, and this time, Hope complied.

Dvd #75B 5/5 At the hospital, Hope asked Melanie how Philip was doing. When Melanie started to complain about the new nurse that was in Philip's room, Hope became agitated. Melanie confirmed that she had never seen the nurse before, and Hope pulled out her gun and ran to Philip's room.

In Philip's hospital room, the nurse injected his I.V. with a syringe full of liquid. Philip began to protest, but he became drowsy and passed out. As the nurse attempted to smother Philip with a pillow, Hope burst into the room and ordered the nurse to back away from Philip. Despite the fact that the nurse was holding a pillow on top of Philip's face, she argued that she was not hurting her patient as security dragged her out of the room. Melanie checked on Philip and determined that he was not breathing. Hope called out for help, and Melanie began CPR. As Melanie breathed into Philip's mouth, he regained consciousness and joked, "You enjoying yourself? Any excuse to kiss me right?" Relieved, Melanie backed away from Philip and laughed nervously. Dr. Baker ran into the room and checked on Philip's vital signs, and Melanie called Stephanie to tell her about the attempt on Philip's life.

After a brief investigation, Hope returned to inform Philip how the assailant had gained admittance to the hospital room. Philip seemed unconcerned with Hope's findings and noted that he did not need to hear the results of her investigation because he already knew that the DiMera family was to blame. Hope restricted Philip's visitor list and left to finish her police report.

In the hospital hallway, Chelsea thanked Hope for helping Philip. Hope informed Chelsea that although the nurse was not talking, they did have a lead on the case. Hope cheerfully told Chelsea that Bo had headed to Chicago to follow up on the forensics report for a payment envelope they found on the assassin. Upset, Chelsea told Hope that she was worried she would not see Bo before she left for London later that day. Beaming, Hope told Chelsea how happy she was that the young woman was going to take care of Billie. Chelsea thanked Hope for loving her and repeatedly forgiving her. "I would never be the person I am today if it hadn't been for you and all your help," Chelsea said, smiling through tears. "I'm so proud of the person you grew to be, "Hope whispered. "You're my daughter. You know that," Hope said as she hugged Chelsea tightly.

5/6 At the airport, Chelsea was relieved when Bo showed up, and hugged him gratefully. Max made himself scarce while Chelsea and Bo said their goodbyes. Bo tried to reassure Chelsea that Billie would be fine, because she was a fighter. Chelsea admitted that although she knew she was doing the right thing, she would miss everyone. Bo stated warmly that he was proud of Chelsea. She thanked her dad for sticking around through her "pain in the butt" years, but Bo cut her off. Taking her face in his hands, Bo declared, "You're my daughter. You're a part of me; you're a part of my heart. You always will be. I love you." Chelsea whispered, "I love you," and they embraced again.

Bo met Brady on the pier. Brady cautioned Bo that Victor and Philip seemed to be intent on taking matters into their own hands. Bo assured Brady that he'd take care of it. Bo then went to the hospital. Though Victor and Philip were doubtful, Bo vowed that the police would find whoever was behind the attempts on Philip's life. Victor sardonically asked if Bo had been talking to Brady. Bo calmly advised Philip and Victor to stop whatever they had planned, and let the police handle it. Victor asked if Bo would abide by the law if it were Hope or Ciara. Ignoring the question, Bo firmly replied, "You go out on your own, I can't protect you." When Victor stepped into the hall to take a phone call, Bo tried to reason with his brother. Philip refused to listen. Bo gave up, but emphasized, "When it comes to police matters, I'm the commissioner, not your brother." 5/11 Hope gave Bo an update about the investigation into the second attempt on Philip's life. She said the woman was going to be placed in a cell with an informant. Max asked Bo if he'd heard from Chelsea, but Bo hadn't heard from her since she landed in London. Both Max and Bo were worried about Chelsea. Bo asked Max what it meant to have a secondary infection, so Max explained that it would make Billie more susceptible to infections and slow down the recovery process. Bo decided to head back to the office, but Hope ordered him to eat something and then go home with her and Ciara to get rest. Hope told Max and Bo not to worry, because Chelsea probably didn't have time to call. Seconds later, Chelsea called Max. When Bo and Hope were about to take Ciara home, Max asked Ciara if she wanted him to take her to the zoo, and Bo had a premonition that Ciara was missing and he found her teddy bear.

5/14 At the pub, Hope summoned Victor, so Bo questioned him about whether he planned to retaliate against the DiMeras. Victor wouldn't tell Bo what his plans were, so Bo tried to take him to the police station, but Hope stopped him. Bo wanted to throw Victor in jail for a day to keep him from putting a hit out on the DiMeras, and she asked how he was going to prevent Victor from doing it once Victor got out of jail. She also asked him what he would do if Ciara came downstairs and saw Bo arresting Ciara's grandfather. Bo decided to leave Victor alone.

Ciara was sad when Max brought her downstairs to Hope, because she had lost her teddy bear. When Hope told Bo that Ciara's bear was missing, he had another vision of himself searching for Ciara and stumbling upon her bear. Bo thought Ciara left her bear outside when she was playing, but Hope didn't think Ciara was outside except during recess. Max decided to look for it upstairs. Hope caught on that Bo had another vision, and Bo said he couldn't tell whether the vision was true or not. Hope said whether or not the vision was true, she and Ciara were safe. Max found Ciara's bear and brought it out to Ciara. Hope figured Bo's vision wouldn't come true.

5/22 Outside the Brady Pub, Max heard Bo on the phone talking about securing warrants. Curious, Max inquired whether Bo was hunting bad guys. Bo told Max that he was working on an end to the Kiriakis and DiMera feud. "It's gonna end. I'm gonna make sure," Bo growled. Bo then explained that a surveillance tail was placed on Victor, but that he had slipped out of sight. Brady called Bo and asked to meet him at the Java Café to talk. When Bo arrived at the coffeehouse, Brady informed him that he was worried that something had happened to Stephanie.

5/25 At the Java Café, Brady told Bo that he thought something had happened to Stephanie and he suspected it was connected to Stefano's disappearance. Bo called in for backup in his search for Stephanie. Brady wanted to help, but Bo told him to let the police handle it. Victor showed up to meet with Bo, and Bo asked where Philip and Stephanie were. Victor said he didn't know where Stephanie was and that he sent Philip to New York on business. Bo told Victor he would charge Victor with lying to the police and impeding an investigation. Bo demanded again to see Philip.

Brady showed up while Bo questioned Victor. Victor called Brady a "disloyal bastard" and said he ruined everything. Victor called Brady a "traitor," but Bo said if Brady hadn't tipped off Bo, Victor and Philip would be facing murder charges, and it was because of Brady that Stefano was alive. Brady thought the officer said Stephanie was found, not Stefano. He wanted to know where Stephanie was. Bo explained they were still looking for her, and that was why he asked where Philip was. Victor told Bo again that he sent Philip to New York, but Brady accused Victor of lying.

5/26 Bo argued that he would arrest Victor and Philip if it meant keeping them from committing murder. Shaking his head, Bo asked why Victor did not trust Bo enough to come to him for help. Victor shot back that Bo had not earned his trust. "You think your dismissive cruelty goes unnoticed? That it doesn't register with me?" Victor growled. Victor noted that Bo never invited him over to his house and rarely brought Ciara over to visit him. As Bo stood there quietly, Victor argued that Bo treated him like a stranger and had not respected him as his father.

"You're not the father that raised me. Seeing how Philip turned out, the kind of man he is, I consider myself lucky," Bo said, disgusted. Bo reiterated that he would do what he could to protect Victor and Philip, despite his father's protestations.

Bo arrived at the hospital and placed E.J. under arrest. Bo offered E.J. leniency if he assisted the police in finding Stephanie, and E.J. agreed to help. E.J.'s only condition was that Bo would allow him to spend a few moments with his father. Lexie rushed into the hallway to give E.J. the good news about Stefano’s recovery. Bo tells her that he needs her help to get the truth out of her old man in order to save Stephanie. Bo retrieved E.J. and warned him if he doesn’t help him bring Stephanie home safe and sound that Bo would make sure EJ never saw his wife and baby again.

6/1 Bo and Hope waited until Victor and his guards left the Kiriakis estate before knocking on the door. Lucas answered it, and told Bo and Hope that Victor wasn't there. He told them Kate, Chloe, and Daniel were there, but Philip wasn't. Bo and Hope convinced Lucas to let them in, saying they were there as family. Bo asked Lucas if he knew where Brady was, but Lucas hadn't seen him since Victor kicked Brady out of the house the night before. Hope reminded Lucas that until the Kiriakis-DiMera feud was over, they were all in danger. Lucas agreed to let Bo and Hope look around. They didn't get far, though, because Henderson stopped them, asking to see their search warrant. Bo told Henderson he didn't need a warrant to visit family, but Henderson said he had orders not to let Bo in. Bo agreed to leave, but insisted on taking Henderson with them. Hope told Henderson it was for Philip, and Bo told him they didn't need a warrant to bring him in for questioning, so Henderson left with them.

At the Brady Pub, Bo asked Henderson when he last saw Brady. Henderson said Brady was at the house the day Victor disowned Brady, but he added that he saw Brady walking near the river by the cemetery with Melanie. Henderson said Melanie and Philip were friends again, even though she had betrayed Philip with the DiMeras. Bo and Hope took off to investigate Brady's whereabouts. Bo and Hope searched the cemetery grounds, and Hope found Melanie's hospital badge.

6/2 In the woods outside the mortuary, Bo and Hope found Melanie's hospital ID tag and a set of footprints. As the two continued their search, they called out Brady's name.

In the Kiriakis crypt, Melanie heard Bo and Hope calling outside. Bo and Hope forced open the crypt door, freeing Melanie and Brady. Brady updated Bo and Hope about Philip's plan, and noted that Owen was inside with a gun and Stephanie. Bo ordered Melanie and Brady to wait outside, but no sooner had Bo and Hope run in to the mortuary than Brady ran in after them. As Stephanie looked at Philip pleading for help, Philip leveled his gaze at Owen and informed him that Stephanie was pregnant. Stunned, Owen loosened his grip on Stephanie's neck, and she elbowed him in the stomach. As Stephanie dove out of the way, Philip charged at Owen and began to repeatedly punch him in the face. Terrified, Stephanie begged Philip to stop hitting Owen. Stephanie pulled Philip off of Owen just as Bo and Hope raced through the door to the morgue. While Bo checked on Owen, Brady and Melanie raced into the morgue and were relieved to learn that Philip and Stephanie were unharmed.

6/15 At the Brady Pub, Bo found out that Owen got away from police custody while he was being transferred to a more secure prison. He told Hope about it and realized that someone else could connect Owen to the DiMeras, so they left. Stephanie got word from Bo that Owen was free, and she told Brady and Melanie. Melanie was worried that Owen might be crazy enough to return to the Kiriakis mansion. Stephanie said that Bo and Hope were on their way over to question Stephanie about Owen. Bo asked Brady if Owen ever mentioned the DiMeras, and Brady said Owen never did. Brady suggested that the only person who might have proof of the DiMera link was Stephanie.

Melanie sat down with Bo and Hope, and she assured them that Owen never mentioned E.J. or the DiMeras. Melanie suggested that they were wasting time questioning her when Owen was still on the loose. Stephanie walked into the living room with Philip, and she was ready to talk to Bo and Hope, but when Hope wanted to speak to Stephanie alone, she made it clear that she wanted Philip to hear what she had to say. Bo asked Stephanie if Owen mentioned who hired him, and Stephanie said that he did not. She said that Owen only said that he wanted to take her away to start a new life with her. Philip noticed she was getting upset, so he asked them to end their questioning and leave.

At the Brady Pub, Bo and Hope realized that Victor convinced Stephanie to lie, because she had the opportunity to send E.J. to jail. Bo said that Philip probably told Stephanie that if she implicated E.J., it would only inflame tensions between the Kiriakises and the DiMeras. He said this way, the two families were even. Hope said the silver lining was that Bo didn't have to arrest his father, Victor. Bo was worried that Stephanie was in deeper than she knew.

6/18 Rafe walked into the church, and Bo decided to check security, since the DiMeras would attend the service. Hope didn't think that the DiMeras would try anything that day, especially at the funeral. Bo wanted to be sure. Hope told Rafe about losing Zach and that she understood what he was going through. Hope told Rafe not to let Bo or Roman's feelings about Rafe get to him, because Sami would need him to deal with losing Grace.

6/19 Will arrived and was rude to his mother, Bo and Roman both admonished him that she needed his support. Hope and Bo hugged Sami, expressed their sympathy, and reminded her that they knew how rough the next few months would be. They encouraged her and Rafe to call any time, day or night, even if they just needed to talk. Sami was relieved that they weren't angry about what she'd done. Father Matt then began the memorial service, blessing the congregation with holy water and saying a prayer for Grace. Next, Caroline read a passage from Ecclesiastes. Will shared a story about how Grace had made him and Johnny laugh, blowing baby food everywhere while Will tried to feed her. He faltered as he attempted to say more, so Father Matt stepped in kindly. Will returned to his seat.

When Father Matt asked if anyone else had a story to share, E.J. rose and went to the altar. His tone full of regret and resentment, he spoke about how his family was his reason for living, and how children were God's finest work. He hoped that Samantha and Rafe could find some comfort in their memories of Grace-memories they would always have. "I never even held her, and I have nothing," he ended bitterly. Father Matt asked again if anyone had something to add. Mia spoke up, but stated that she didn't actually have anything to say. She simply began to sing Amazing Grace, and her soft, sweet voice filled the church, moving many of the mourners to tears. When Mia's voice wavered a bit at the end of the first verse, Caroline stood and took over, singing the second verse. One by one, the congregation rose, adding own their voices to the hymn. Overcome, Sami leaned against Rafe, sobbing.

Father Matt said another prayer, finishing with, "In Grace's name, I pray that God will grant us all peace and forgiveness." He then began to administer the Eucharist, and as Rafe left to join the congregation in receiving communion, E.J. slid into the pew behind Sami. "You've been to confession, Samantha," he whispered in her ear. "Your sins have been absolved." Without turning around, Sami quietly retorted, "'Least I'm sorry for them." The mourners then filed past Grace's picture, each placing a single pastel rose in a basket on the altar. Finally, Sami and Rafe did the same, followed by E.J. and Nicole. Father Matt said one final farewell to Grace, assuring the congregation that they would see her, and enjoy her friendship, again. Bo and Hope said their goodbyes to Rafe and Sami. Bo again encouraged his niece to call if she needed to, and kissed her tenderly on the forehead.

6/25 At Maggie's house, Hope was amazed at how much Nathan had grown. Maggie and Hope gushed over Nathan's career accomplishment, and Hope told him that he would love working with Lexie and Daniel. She asked if he met anyone new, and Nathan told her about Mia and Melanie, who were staying at Maggie's house. He could tell by Hope's reaction that Hope wasn't pleased with Melanie. He asked why, and realized she blamed Melanie for Nick being in jail. Hope started to tell Nathan more about what had happened between Melanie and Nick, but Maggie interrupted, showing her a newspaper article. Hope got upset upon reading it, and Maggie and Hope went to the hospital to talk to Lexie about it. Hope promised to fill Nathan in later. Victor explained to Bo that he was discussing family business. Bo said he thought he was Victor's family, but decided that he would concentrate on protecting his own family.

At the hospital, Hope told Lexie that the anonymous donation Hope made to the charity that helped parents with autistic children was reported by the newspaper. Lexie promised to find out who leaked her name. Maggie thought Hope should have been happy that she was finally getting the recognition she deserved, but Hope didn't want recognition.

Hope and Ciara met Bo at the cemetery where they laid flowers on Zack's grave. Hope thought about what she would do if Ciara had not been born after they lost Zack. She also thought about what Sami was going through. Hope and Ciara started to leave, and Bo stayed behind to look at Zack's grave again. Bo saw Zack, who picked up Ciara's bear and handed it to Bo. Zack warned that if Ciara lost the bear, something bad would happen.

At the Java Café, a man read the newspaper article about Hope donating half a million dollars to charity. He circled Hope's picture and said the words, "Rich. Sweet."

6/29 Bo had a nightmare, thinking about what Zack told him about Ciara. Bo woke up and found Ciara sleeping in the bed between him and Hope. Hope said Ciara got into bed after Bo fell asleep. Hope sensed that Bo was upset. He told her about his vision of Zack in the graveyard and how Zack said that if Ciara lost Tommy bear, something bad would happen. Hope told Bo that they would protect Ciara no matter what. Hope tried to calm Bo's fears, telling him that the last time he had a vision, it was meaningless and he tortured himself for nothing. Bo was adamant that he needed to trust his vision of Zack, because he helped them before with Theo. Bo said whatever Zack was trying to tell them had to do with Tommy bear. Bo told Hope that they needed to listen to Zack's warning to keep Ciara's bear safe. He said they needed to find a safe place for the bear. Hope asked what they would tell Ciara, and he said they would think of something, but the important thing was that they protected the bear and Ciara.

7/6 Max answered the phone at the Brady Pub when Bo called, and Bo told him to stay put so he could say goodbye to Max. Max was glad to see Bo, because he wanted to ask Bo something. Bo arrived, and Max told him that he wanted his blessing to be with Chelsea, but Bo said he wouldn't give his blessing. Bo said Max and Chelsea didn't need Bo's blessing or anyone else's permission. Max pointed out that at one point, Bo was upset to find out that he and Chelsea had gotten serious about one another. Bo admitted he had acted like a jerk in the past, but he said that Max only needed Chelsea's blessing. Bo said if Max decided to marry Chelsea, they would have a wedding in Salem or the family would travel to London. Melanie overheard them talking and got upset. Bo started to warn Nathan about Melanie, but Nathan said he already heard the lowdown on her, so Bo backed off.

7/9 Bo ran into Victor in the park and noticed what a good mood Victor was in. Bo asked Victor why he was so happy, and Victor said everything had settled down and there was no more feud between his family and the DiMeras. Bo believed it was because Victor had "put Stephanie on a short leash." Bo accused Victor of threatening Stephanie, but Victor said he was merely comforting her. Victor pointed out that she and Philip were engaged, and he warned Bo to leave it alone.

Bo stopped by the Kiriakis mansion and told Philip how Victor wanted Bo to be happy. Philip scoffed, saying the words "Kiriakis" and "happy" could never go together. Philip told Bo that Stephanie called off the engagement. Bo wondered what Victor did to make Stephanie call things off, and Philip said he didn't do anything, "he just is." Philip considered Bo lucky that he got out of Victor's clutches, but Bo said he was raised a Brady, unlike Philip who was raised a Kiriakis. Bo said he never had any regrets about not being raised as Victor's child. Bo told Philip to figure out what was important to him, because with a woman like Stephanie, he had to choose between money and power or Stephanie.

7/10 At the Kiriakis mansion, Bo asserted that the only way Philip could be with Stephanie was to walk away from his father, and his job at Titan, including all the power that went with it. Philip somewhat cockily maintained that he could have Stephanie and the money and power. Bo pointed out that Stephanie had stuck by Philip through two attempts on his life and her kidnapping, but she had finally realized that her relationship with Philip was changing her into someone she didn't want to be. Philip acknowledged that he didn't want that for Stephanie, but he loved working at Titan more than he could love any other job. He noted that Bo had walked away, but still got to be a cop and have a family. "You have it all, man. But I only have Stephanie."

In the park, Hope explained to Ciara that she couldn't play with Tommy Bear because he was hibernating for a while. She presented the child with a stuffed giraffe to play with in the meantime. After Ciara had scampered off, Hope's friend, Ellen, stopped by the park, to look after Ciara while the women's daughters played together. Ellen noticed that Hope seemed preoccupied, but Hope insisted everything was fine. Hope left, promising to return with an iced mochaccino for Ellen.

Hope then met Bo at the Java Café. Bo admitted that he'd wanted to smack Philip into taking his advice, adding that he was proud of Stephanie for walking away. Hope wondered if Philip could do the same. Bo thought that although it would be tough, Philip should walk away, because he would be happy with Stephanie. Hope told Bo that she'd left Ciara with Ellen in the park, because she wanted to talk to him alone. She admitted she was worried about Bo's visions. She pointed out that just because they'd put Tommy Bear away, it didn't mean something wouldn't happen to Ciara. Bo countered that not all of his visions came true. Hope quietly asserted that, regardless, she had to take them seriously, because she couldn't go through losing another child.

As Ciara played with Tracy, Ellen's daughter, Tracy, pulled a stuffed bear from her backpack. "Tommy Bear!" Ciara exclaimed. Tracy offered to trade the bear for Ciara's giraffe, and Ciara happily agreed. A little later, Hope and Bo went to the park to pick up Ciara, and presented Ellen with a mochaccino. The girls had both zipped their stuffed animals into their backpacks, so no one noticed the switch. Bo and Hope thanked Ellen, and left with Ciara.

7/16 Bo and Hope threw a birthday party for Ciara, and a mysterious man watched them from behind the bushes. Abe took Theo to the party, and Caroline greeted them. Hope served some cupcakes, and Theo selected one. Abe thanked Hope for the generous donation she gave to the autism charity. Hope said the donation was supposed to be anonymous. Bo told Abe that Ciara referred to Theo as "her best boy friend." They bonded over Theo and Ciara's friendship, and Abe asked whether Bo was having any more visions. Bo admitted that he was still having them. Bo said in his vision, Zack warned him that if Ciara lost her teddy bear, something bad would happen, so he and Hope put the bear in a closet. Bo said he didn't want to take any chances. The stranger watched from the bushes as Ciara's friend drew a heart on Nathan's face.

Bo and Hope cleaned up after the party, and Hope asked another parent, Ellen, to watch the girls. Ciara thanked her friend, Tracy, for letting Ciara have her bear. Tracy ran off, so Tracy's mother ran after her, but asked Ciara to go with her. Instead of following Tracy's mother, Ciara stayed behind, and the mysterious stranger walked up to Ciara and asked if it was her birthday. Ciara nodded, indicating yes, and the stranger said it was his birthday, too. Then Ciara told him that she wasn't supposed to talk to strangers. The man said they weren't strangers, they were birthday buddies. He offered her a lollipop. Ciara took the lollipop, and the man told her that he had a lot more lollipops. The man told Ciara goodbye, and Tracy's mother returned with Tracy. She thought that Ciara was right behind her. Bo and Hope returned, as well, and told Tracy and her mother about the party favors. Hope asked Ciara where she got the lollipop, and Ciara said her friend gave it to her. Hope offered to open the lollipop.

7/22 Hope arrived at the hospital and overheard an anxious Maggie trying to reach Chloe on the phone. She asked Maggie what was wrong. Bo emerged from the elevator as Maggie was tearfully explaining the phone call, telling Hope about how scared Chloe had sounded. "I don't understand it, I’ve never heard him talk like that before!" she exclaimed, clarifying for Bo that she meant Daniel.

Bo tried to reach Chloe at Maggie's house, since he hadn't been able to get through on her cell phone. Chris answered and assumed that Bo was just a rabid fan, even when Bo announced that he was a cop. Bo was taken aback when Chris hung up abruptly. When Bo said that the crew was about to start taping, Maggie was relieved, but still concerned about how angry Daniel had sounded. Hope suggested to Bo that they should check into things with Chloe and make sure there was nothing wrong.

Once Maggie, Bo, and Hope arrived at Maggie's, Kate filled them in. Maggie pointed out that when Chloe had gotten sick like that before, it had been extremely serious. Kate claimed Daniel had told her privately that it was nothing to worry about, but Bo wondered why Daniel wouldn't have waited for an ambulance. Hope asked if Daniel had reason to be angry with Chloe. Kate equivocated, only noting that the two of them were high-strung. Maggie began to speak up, but Kate urged her not to say anything. Bo reminded Kate and Maggie that it had become a police investigation, so Maggie reluctantly disclosed that Daniel and Chloe had an affair. Kate confirmed Maggie's assertion, but insisted it had ended before Chloe had married Lucas. Maggie told Kate about the phone call, and Kate pretended to be shocked. She was sure Daniel would never hurt Chloe, despite his temper.

Chris chimed in to tell Bo about how Daniel had made everyone wait outside while he talked to Chloe, and afterwards her hair had been mussed and her clothes rumpled. "Oh, come on!" Kate cried. "We're not going to blame Chloe's illness on Daniel, that’s ridiculous!" Bo asked Kate and Chris to try to recount everything Chloe had done that day. They explained how they'd planned to shoot a food segment in which Chloe was to sample some brownies. Bo noted that he'd have the brownies taken to the lab. Kate then stated that it had been Daniel's last show, because he'd quit and was leaving town.

Hope asked what else Chloe had done that day. Kate said that the day before, Chloe and Lucas had gone to Daniel's apartment to pick up some wardrobe items, right before Lucas had left for Hong Kong. She added that Chloe had been acting a little strangely afterwards. Bo pulled Hope aside, informing her that he was going to take a forensics team to Daniel's apartment. Right after Bo left, Hope got a phone call. She hung up and told the others to meet her at the hospital, because Chloe was in trouble and it didn't look good.

At Daniel's apartment, one of the men reported to Bo that the only thing they had found was an almost empty vial of a drug called Leukocystine. He called and relayed the findings to Hope, and asked her to find out about the drug. When Hope hung up and asked Maggie about it, Maggie suggested she ask Jennifer. Hope informed a shocked Kate and Maggie, "The police may have found some very damning evidence in Daniel's apartment." She couldn't divulge more, except that Daniel had to be treated as a suspect.

7/23 At the hospital, Hope told Maggie and Kate that the police planned to treat Daniel as a suspect after finding evidence at his apartment. Kate pretended to be upset about Chloe possibly dying and how it would affect Lucas, and Maggie comforted her. When Bo arrived, Hope told him that the doctors figured out that the drug that poisoned Chloe was the same drug that the police found at Daniel's apartment. Bo thought it didn't make sense that Daniel would poison Chloe. His gut told him that there was no way that Daniel was involved. Bo walked into Chloe’s hospital room and demanded to speak to Daniel on official police business. Daniel refused to leave her, but Bo told him that he didn't have a choice. Lexie had to pull rank on Daniel, and ordered him to go with Bo while she stayed with Chloe, so Daniel went with Bo.

Meanwhile, Hope had questions for Kate. Daniel told Bo that Chloe made a promise not to leave Lucas after Lucas got hurt in the explosion at his apartment. Bo wondered how that decision affected him, and he asked if Daniel's feelings changed and whether she cheated again with him after she got married. Daniel said that Chloe was faithful, but she had just told him that day that she planned to leave Lucas, because she couldn't fight her feelings for Daniel anymore. Bo questioned whether Daniel was sure about that, because he had heard something different. Kate told Hope that Daniel planned to leave the show, and Hope wondered why Daniel wanted to leave so quickly. Kate assumed it was because he was bored, but Hope thought there was more to it. Maggie spoke up and told Hope what Kate's assistant had told Maggie about Chloe and Daniel being uncomfortable together. Kate tried to downplay it. Then Kate blamed herself. Kate said it was because Daniel and Chloe didn't want to do the shoot, but Kate prodded them to do it, because she needed a medical consultant for the show.

Maggie tried to convince Kate not to blame herself, because Daniel and Chloe claimed the affair was over. Lexie overheard Maggie's words and was shocked that Daniel and Chloe were involved. Lexie said that it made sense, because when she treated Chloe the last time, Chloe didn't want Daniel near her. Hope questioned Lexie about what Chloe said. Lexie said that Chloe was delirious at the time and was saying things like, "No, Daniel, no."

Hope asked if she and Bo would be able to talk to Chloe? Lexie told Hope that there was a good chance that Chloe might not make it. Hope asked Lexie about when Chloe had last received medical care, and Lexie said she was in the hospital the day before but recovered and was released in the morning. Hope asked if that illness was due to eating tainted food at the TV shoot. Lexie said they couldn't determine if there was a correlation. Hope asked if there were any other incidents. Lexie said Chloe went to the hospital prior to that incident after getting sick from eating an apple. Kate overheard and volunteered that Chloe got sick from an apple that Daniel had sent as a housewarming gift. Hope warned Lexie to keep Daniel away from Chloe.

Bo told Daniel that Maggie got a call from Chloe's phone, which had misdialed; Chloe didn't realize she'd made the call. Bo said that Chloe was upset, and Maggie overheard an argument between Chloe and Daniel where Daniel threatened Chloe. Daniel admitted that he was alone with Chloe on the set. Bo said that Kate's assistant said that Daniel made the crew stand outside while Chloe and Daniel talked. Bo said that it wasn't something that they wanted to talk about around other people.

Bo asked if Chloe collapsed after her private conversation with Daniel. Daniel didn't understand why Bo was asking him those questions. Daniel said there was some kind of mistake, because he did nothing to hurt Chloe. Bo asked why Maggie would lie about the phone call she received, and Daniel didn't know. Daniel said he was willing to talk to Bo later, but Chloe needed Daniel immediately. Bo reminded Daniel that he was Daniel's friend, and he said that once Daniel answered Bo's questions, Daniel could get back to Chloe.

Daniel told Bo that the drug found in Chloe's system could only be administered by a doctor, and Bo asked if Daniel was able to administer it. Daniel said he administered the drug to cancer patients, and he demanded to know why Bo asked. Bo said the police found the exact same drug in Daniel's apartment. Daniel asked why the police were at his apartment, because he didn't see a search warrant. Bo said he was retracing Chloe's steps leading up to when she got sick. Daniel asked what Bo was accusing him of.

Bo said he wasn't accusing Daniel of anything, he was simply asking questions. Daniel insisted that he would never hurt Chloe. Bo said he believed Daniel, and he asked Daniel to let Bo do his job so that he could clear Daniel's name. Daniel asked if Bo considered him a suspect. Daniel insisted the drug they found at his place wasn't Daniel's. Bo laid out the evidence to Daniel. Daniel was desperate to get back to Chloe's room.

Lexie told Hope that it didn't make sense that Daniel would want to hurt anyone. Hope didn't want to believe it, either. Meanwhile, in Chloe's room, Maggie begged Chloe to come back to them. Then Chloe's monitor went off, and Maggie ran out of the room for help. Daniel heard Maggie, but Lexie told him that she would handle it. Daniel started to run to Chloe's room, but the police grabbed him. Daniel asked what was going on, and Bo said it was for his own good. Daniel insisted that Chloe needed him. He yelled to Chloe that he would not leave her.

7/24 Bo entered Chloe's room and asked Lexie for an update. Lexie advised him that they wouldn't know for a while, because Chloe might need more of the antidote that Daniel had administered. Bo finally told the officers they could release Daniel, who was still angry that Bo suspected him. Bo and Hope led Daniel away to question him further, but first suggested that Daniel calm down and call a lawyer. Daniel can’t believe they suspect him of poisoning Chloe.

Lexie found Bo, Hope, and Daniel in the locker room to let them know Chloe's condition. Daniel sprang into action, ordering blood work and tests, and Bo had to physically stop him from heading to Chloe's room. Bo declared that he was on Daniel's side, but couldn't help him until he got some answers. Daniel swore to Bo that someone must have forged the prescription for the drugs the police had found in his apartment, when Hope entered, carrying an evidence bag. She announced that another officer had spoken to the pharmacist who'd dispensed the drugs. Hope gave the bag, which contained the original prescription, to Bo, and continued that the pharmacist had said that a man who fit Daniel's description had picked them up.

Bo showed the prescription to Daniel, and asked if it were his handwriting. Daniel admitted it was similar, but swore he hadn't written it. Bo and Hope wanted to know how the bottle had ended up in Daniel's apartment, and if anyone else perhaps had a key. Daniel remembered that he'd forgotten his suit before a taping, so he'd given his key to Lucas, who was supposed to have sent an assistant to retrieve the suit. Bo informed Daniel that Chloe and Lucas had actually been the ones to pick up the suit. Daniel angrily demanded to know why Bo wasn't questioning Lucas. Bo replied that they were questioning everyone who'd had access to the poisoned food, and again refused to let Daniel return to Chloe, citing the circumstantial evidence against him.

Hope then informed Daniel that Lexie had told them how Chloe had steadfastly refused to allow Daniel to treat her. Bo asked why Chloe would have done that if she were really going to leave Lucas for Daniel. "Daniel, why are you lying to us?" Hope demanded. Daniel blew up, insisting that none of the things the police were accusing him of had happened. Hope asked about the fruit basket that Kate had told them about, noting that Chloe had gotten sick after eating an apple from it. Daniel admitted that he'd ordered it as a housewarming gift, but insisted he hadn't poisoned the apple. "Someone did," said Bo. "Someone who wanted Chloe dead."

Bo, Hope, and Daniel returned from the locker room. Daniel overheard Hope telling Bo she wished they could talk to Chloe. Bo replied, "Yeah. My gut's telling me someone else had motive." Daniel recalled how a bitter Kate had confronted him about his affair with Chloe, and how, later, Kate had insisted that Chloe eat one of the apples from Daniel's gift basket. As the realization dawned on him, Daniel's eyes met Kate's across the waiting room. "You," he intoned accusingly.

7/27 At the hospital, Daniel suspected that Kate was the one who poisoned Chloe. He told Bo and Hope that Kate begged Daniel to do another show when she heard that Daniel was leaving. Daniel suspected that if the drug that poisoned Chloe was found in Daniel's apartment, Kate planted it. He told Bo and Hope about how Kate found out that he was having an affair with Chloe while she was engaged. He said that ever since Daniel and Kate were together, Kate had a strange jealous streak, and she wanted revenge.

Bo told Kate about Daniel's accusations, and Kate said she couldn't believe that Daniel would accuse her of poisoning Chloe after Kate defended him. Daniel said that Kate was the first person he thought of who wanted Chloe out of the way. Kate said that when she found out about Daniel and Chloe, she decided to let it go, because she knew the truth would hurt Lucas. Hope asked if Kate held any grudges against Chloe, and Kate said that Chloe vowed to dedicate her life to Lucas and Allie, and Kate believed her. Kate worried that Lucas would find out what happened to Chloe from someone else. Daniel denied poisoning Chloe or having an affair. He said they kept their distance, but Chloe was faithful, and Daniel respected that.

Maggie told Bo, Hope, and Kate to be careful not to make the same mistake Maggie had made when she told Lucas about Daniel and Chloe. Hope's ears perked up, and she questioned Maggie about what she told Lucas and when. Maggie explained that she told Lucas about Daniel and Chloe after Chloe broke off the engagement. She said that the explosion at Daniel's apartment traumatized Lucas when he went to confront Daniel, and when Lucas woke up in the hospital, Lucas didn't remember anything from that night. Hope asked Maggie how she knew that, and Maggie said that Lucas didn't remember the affair. She said that recently, Lucas remembered bits and pieces, but he never brought it up again. Bo theorized that Lucas acted like he didn't know anything, but he was the producer of the show, so he had access to the food that was poisoned. Bo surmised that Lucas left town to give himself the perfect alibi. Kate objected, saying that Lucas loved Chloe. And Daniel loved Chloe too, Bo said.

Kate pointed out that Lucas was Bo's cousin. Bo said Lucas had a history of taking things into his own hands, and shooting E.J. was the perfect example. Kate said she knew for a fact that Lucas didn't poison Chloe. Bo said the only way she could know that was if she knew who the guilty person was. Kate said she couldn't tell Bo who poisoned Chloe, but she could tell him that Lucas didn't. Kate couldn't believe that Bo was ignoring their prime suspect. Lexie came out and told the group that Chloe wasn't responding as well as she had earlier. She recommend that it was important for a family member to go into Chloe's room and talk to her that it could help. Kate said that as the only family Chloe had at the hospital, she would go and sit with Chloe.

Daniel objected and said that Kate was the one who poisoned Chloe. Bo said that all the evidence pointed to Daniel. Daniel pointed out that he was the one who gave Chloe the antidote. Hope said that Chloe would be okay with Kate, because they had a guard posted at the door. Brady told Bo and Hope that Craig and Nancy were in shock to hear what happened to Chloe. Hope couldn't believe that Kate hadn't notified Chloe's parents. Daniel interrupted to ask Brady to talk to Chloe and tell her that everyone was with her and loved her and wanted her to wake up.

Bo asked Brady if he knew that Chloe and Daniel were involved, and he admitted that he found out recently. Daniel begged Brady to go into Chloe's room and talk to her. Bo told Daniel that Chloe was the only one who could back up Daniel's story. Hope said all the evidence against Daniel was circumstantial, but there wouldn't be an arrest yet. Bo advised Daniel not to leave. Brady ran into the hallway to tell Daniel, Bo, and Hope that Chloe squeezed his hand and she is waking up! Lexie said that Chloe's hand squeeze was an involuntary movement but good she had clear movement. Daniel begged to Bo and Hope to allow him to sit and talk with Chloe so that he could reach her. Bo and Hope received a report saying that the fingerprints on the drug vial they found in Daniel's apartment matched Daniel's fingerprints. Bo advised Daniel to call a lawyer, but he refused to leave Chloe alone. Hope urged him to calm down, and Bo arrested Daniel.

7/28 At the police station, a terrified Daniel begged Bo to keep an eye on Kate so that she was not left alone with Chloe. Bo assured Daniel that Chloe was safe in the hospital, and warned Daniel that if he did not calm down, Bo would have to put him in a holding cell for twelve hours. Worried, Daniel quieted down and promised to answer any questions. After briefly questioning Daniel, Bo told Hope that he thought Daniel was still hiding information. Hope asked Bo about Daniel's theory that Kate was the one who poisoned the food. "You know what she did to Sami," Bo replied. Bo sent Hope in to question Daniel and urged her not to leave the room until Daniel supplied Kate's motive and filled in the blanks in his story.

While Hope questioned Daniel in the interrogation room, a frustrated Abe asked Bo whether he had gotten a confession out of Daniel yet. Bo admitted that he did not believe Daniel was the assailant, but Abe cautioned Bo to follow the evidence and not just his gut. Abe reminded Bo that he had a personal tie to Daniel and that he needed to show he was impartial. When the forensics report confirmed that Daniel's fingerprints were the only prints on the vial of medicine, Abe warned Bo to pursue Daniel as the main suspect, but Bo admitted that he still believed Daniel was innocent.

In the interrogation room, Daniel explained that Kate's plan to poison Chloe and frame him had likely been in progress for months. Daniel theorized that Kate resented that Daniel and Chloe were still in love with one another. Hope reminded Daniel that there was no proof that Chloe was still in love with him, and she explained that his theory about Kate had no real proof. Daniel urged Hope to watch Kate carefully. While discussing the evidence, Hope questioned why Daniel would have worked on “Hearth and Home” with Chloe and Kate. Daniel admitted that the show was a bad idea, but said that Kate had bribed him to appear on the show with a donation to a breast cancer fund in his wife's name. Shaking his head, Daniel admitted that he felt stupid for believing Kate when she said she had forgiven him for his affair with Chloe.

Citing Chloe's request to keep her second hospital admission from Daniel, Hope noted that the mounting evidence against Daniel made him look guilty. Daniel theorized that Chloe might have worried what she would say while under the influence of medication if he were around. Daniel suggested to Hope that she question Victor, as Kate may have confided in him regarding her plan to poison Chloe.

Bo called Victor to ask him to find a criminal lawyer for Daniel, who had been arrested for attempted murder. Victor turned his anger on Kate. Victor urged Kate to go to plan B, since he would not stand for her to pin her crime on Daniel. She smirked go ahead and tell Bo his fantasy of her involvement and suggested Bo wouldn’t believe him. Glowering, Victor threatened that if Kate did not make things right for Daniel that he would tell Lucas that she had poisoned Chloe and he assures her Lucas will believe him.

7/29 At the police station, Abe reviewed the evidence against Daniel with Bo. Although Bo still believed Daniel was innocent, Abe demanded that Bo arrest Daniel. Lexie called Abe to update him that Chloe's test results indicated that she was slipping deeper into a coma, and added that she'd hated having to break such awful news to Lucas. Abe asked if Lucas had seemed surprised to learn that Chloe had been poisoned. Lexie refused to spy on her patient's husband for him, and Abe quickly apologized. When Abe hung up, Bo asserted that they had to question Lucas to ensure a thorough investigation.

In the interrogation room, Hope pointed out the holes in Daniel's theory that Kate had actually been the one to poison Chloe. Daniel angrily insisted that Chloe was still in danger, and Hope had to keep Kate away from her. Hope asserted that Kate wouldn't do anything while Daniel was at the police station, because it would prove he didn't do it. "So you do believe me?" asked Daniel. "I didn't say that," Hope replied. Daniel was still worried that Kate would try something, because if Chloe woke up, she would confirm everything he'd said. He reiterated that the police had to keep their eyes on Kate. Bo entered the interrogation room, and filled in Hope and Daniel about Chloe's condition. Daniel was clearly devastated. Bo and Hope left the room together.

When Bo returned later, he told Daniel that Hope was out following up a lead, so anything they discussed was off the record. Bo went over the evidence against Daniel, whose ironic reply implied that he'd have to have been incredibly stupid to leave such obvious clues behind. Bo noted that Daniel seemed to have a quick answer for everything. Daniel countered that Bo would arrest him if he really thought Daniel had done it, and asserted that Bo and Hope were listening to everything Daniel said very carefully. Bo then told Daniel he was preparing a lineup for the pharmacist who'd filled the prescription, but he would wait to do it until Daniel's lawyer arrived. Daniel irritably remarked, "This is a puppet show, and Kate Roberts is pulling the strings."

Victor then strolled over and cheerfully greeted Hope, who'd just arrived, and announced that he had something to tell her. He declared that he was absolutely sure that Daniel had nothing to do with what happened to Chloe. When Hope learned that Victor didn't have any concrete proof, she suggested that he be a character witness at Daniel's trial. Hope then stated that she needed to question Lucas. Kate argued that Lucas was in a fragile state, pointing out that he also didn't know about Chloe and Daniel yet. Victor pulled Kate away before she could say much else, leaving Hope to note thoughtfully to herself, "Hmm. Kate doesn't want me to talk to Lucas, and Victor doesn't want me to talk to Kate."

Hope entered Chloe's room, and gently informed Lucas that she needed proof that he was out of the country when Chloe got sick. After the two of them stepped outside, Hope asked if Lucas and Chloe were having problems. An indignant Lucas insisted they weren't, and that he would never hurt Chloe. Hope apologetically explained that she had to ask those questions. Lucas understood, and volunteered to give Hope his boarding pass. Hope then asked if Lucas had ever been to Daniel's apartment. Lucas confirmed that he'd been there with Chloe to retrieve a suit for Daniel, adding that they'd found a woman's scarf on the floor. Lucas noted that if Daniel were a suspect, it made no sense to him, and Hope stated that they were only questioning Daniel. Lucas demanded that the cops find out who poisoned his wife and make them pay.

Hope found Kate and assured her that she hadn't said anything to Lucas about Chloe and Daniel, but advised Kate to consider how to break the news to him. Before Kate could respond, Hope added, "Although I really didn't need to say that, did I? You and I both know you'd do anything for Lucas, right?" Abe informed Bo that the pharmacist couldn't positively identify Daniel from the lineup, but the D.A. wanted to press attempted murder charges regardless. Just then, a uniformed officer returned with Daniel and his lawyer. With some prodding from Abe, a reluctant Bo placed Daniel under arrest.

Hope returned from the hospital and filled Bo in about questioning Lucas. Bo knew he shouldn't jump to conclusions, but he thought Kate poisoned Chloe, explaining, "It pans out a hell of a lot better than the doc doing it." He asked Hope to oversee Daniel's booking, and as she was leaving to do so, she bumped into Victor. Victor arrived at the PD and asserted to Bo that he didn't think Daniel was guilty. They briefly discussed Daniel's arraignment, and then Bo asked if Victor knew anything about who poisoned Chloe. "No. I have no idea at all," Victor replied. Hope looked on as Daniel turned over his wallet, cell phone, and jewelry, and an officer tossed them into a manila envelope. The officer then fingerprinted Daniel, took his mug shot, and finally escorted the doctor, clad in jail-issue jeans and chambray shirt, into a cell, and slammed the door.

8/4 At the hospital, Kate sat at Chloe's bedside asking out loud why Chloe married Lucas when she wanted to be with Daniel. "You made me do it. You made me do what I did," Kate muttered. Listening from the doorway, Hope countered, "What exactly did you do, Kate?" Surprised, Kate argued that Hope should not be listening to private conversations. When Hope asked Kate what she was confessing to, Kate denied that she was confessing anything. Kate reasoned that she was referring to her role in covering up Chloe and Daniel's affair. Arching an eyebrow, Hope theorized that Kate grew to hate Chloe more every day.

Kate disagreed with Hope's assessment and argued that she only hated the possibility that Chloe would break Lucas' heart. Pulling out a tape recorder, Hope asked Kate to tell her side of the story-and advised her that she could have her attorney with her for the questioning. "Why would I need one?" Kate wondered aloud. "I don't know. You tell me," Hope quipped. Kate explained that she thought Daniel might have poisoned Chloe because Chloe had decided to stay with Lucas and work on their marriage. When Hope asked Kate why she did not tell Lucas about the affair, Kate confessed that she was worried about Lucas' reaction to the news. Kate then admitted that she had a bad feeling that Chloe wasn't "going to make it." Taken aback by Kate's statement, Hope notified Kate that she would be nearby whenever Kate was visiting Chloe.

As the paramedics wheeled an unconscious Carlo to the ambulance after he had been found shot, Bo appeared on the docks to question Philip. Bo asked Philip a few questions about the victim, and then informed Philip that there was nothing more he could do for Carlo. Bo argued that as a police officer, any investigation he did into Carlo's shooting would be futile since it involved the Kiriakis family. Shaking his head, Bo told Philip that Bo was lucky that he could go home to his family and sleep well. "What about you, Philip? Are you gonna be able to sleep tonight?" Bo asked.

As Daniel paced his jail cell, Hope stopped by to tell him that Kate had said Chloe's prognosis was bleak. Enraged that Kate had given Hope that news, Daniel pushed Hope to station a guard at Chloe's hospital room. Trying to calm Daniel down, Hope reasoned that as long as he was in jail, Kate could not attempt to harm Chloe, because it would implicate her.

8/7 At the jail, Daniel was impatient for his bail hearing to begin, so he could return to the hospital to help Chloe. Bo cautioned Daniel that he might not make bail, because the judge could view him as a flight risk. Later, Bo returned Daniel to his cell. Daniel was frustrated because Bo's warning had come to pass, but he thanked Bo for sticking by him. Bo tried to reassure him that it wasn't over, though Daniel wasn't convinced. Bo wondered if there were something he'd missed, like someone who had heard Daniel and Chloe talking before she collapsed. Daniel didn't think so.

8/11 At the police station, Bo and Hope discussed the case against Daniel, and agreed that it just didn't add up. Bo wanted to re-interview the people who had been at the TV station the day Chloe collapsed. The district attorney, Charles Woods, was on his cell phone nearby and overheard. He hung up and declared that the Jonas investigation was closed because they had an airtight case, and he didn't intended to waste more taxpayers' money trying to find additional suspects. Bo and Hope argued that they weren't convinced that Daniel was guilty. Woods pointed out that Bo's family relationships created a huge conflict of interest, so any further investigation would not involve Bo. Bo asserted that as commissioner, he was involved in all police department cases. They argued some more, and finally, Woods declared that if either Bo or Hope disobeyed his order to stay off the case, they would be suspended.

Bo and Hope went to the Kiriakis mansion to see Victor. Bo asked about the sixty million dollar bail Victor had posted to free Daniel, noting that Victor must be really certain of Daniel's innocence. Victor replied, "Not only do I back Daniel 100%, I expect every member of this family to do the same-which means, Bo, that I expect you to do everything you can to keep this case from going to trial.” Bo reluctantly stated that all investigations had to follow the same rules and regulations, so the public would see the department as impartial. Victor scoffed, noting that Bo hadn't cared about the public when he saved Philip. Hope pointed out that Bo had nearly been fired because of that.

Bo and Hope assured Victor that neither of them believed Daniel was guilty. Victor argued that if that were true, they should be pursuing other suspects. "You mean like Kate?" asked Bo. Victor got quiet, as they pointed out that Daniel was convinced that Kate had set him up, and although she was a viable suspect, they had no evidence. They asked how he and Philip would feel if Kate went to jail. "I'm sure Philip would be very sad to see his mother in prison," Victor hedged. "But if that's where she belongs..." Bo surmised that Victor wanted them to nail Kate and free Daniel, but keep Victor's hands clean. Victor's silence provided his answer. Victor was furious when he learned that the D.A. had ordered Bo and Hope off the case. Bo urged Victor not to pressure Woods because it would only backfire, and apologized for not being able to do more. "If you don't agree to help Daniel, then I have nothing more to say to you!" declared Victor. "Fortunately, I've got someone coming who knows where he stands with the family." Just then, Victor's nephew, Justin, walked in the door.

8/12 At the Kiriakis mansion, Hope and Bo greeted Justin with warm hugs and handshakes. Justin explained that Victor had sent the company jet for him, but when he saw the look on Victor's face, Justin got right down to business. He told Victor that after reviewing the case against Daniel, he feared that Daniel was in need of a miracle. Victor declared that it was Justin's job to get all the circumstantial evidence against Daniel thrown out. Justin confessed that he'd never tried a criminal case before, but Victor's only concern was that Daniel had a lawyer he could trust. Justin asked about other suspects, and Bo and Hope informed him that the evidence kept pointing them to Daniel. Hope assured both Kiriakis men that she and Bo only wanted the truth. "Then you should be looking at someone other than Daniel!" Victor snapped. Bo and Hope said their goodbyes, and left.

At the Brady Pub, Bo made a phone call, ordering an officer to recheck the fingerprints on the vial of drugs from Daniel's apartment. Hope was surprised, since the D.A. had ordered them off the case, but agreed that it was odd that Daniel's had been the only prints on the vial. They discussed how both Daniel and Victor had told them Kate was the real culprit, and they couldn't ignore their allegations, despite what the D.A. wanted. Bo declared that he couldn't only side with the family when it was convenient for Victor. Because of Victor's war with the DiMeras, Bo also sensed that something bad was going to happen, and he didn't want it to spill over into his own family. Ciara emerged from the kitchen with a surprise for her mommy and daddy: a cake thick with pink frosting, laden with colorful but messy flowers.

Later, Bo and Hope took Ciara to the waterfront. They pointed out the Fancy Face, the boat on which they'd sailed around the world with her brother, Shawn Douglas, when he was a baby. Hope excitedly suggested that they do the same thing with Ciara someday, and Bo added that they could visit Shawn, Belle, and Claire.

"And my brother, Zack?" asked Ciara. They reminded her that Zack was gone, but they were glad he was special to Ciara, even if she didn't know him. "I know Zack!" she declared. With a hug, Hope replied, "Of course you do, because you remember him in your prayers every night, don't you?"

Hope got a phone call, and then announced that she had to get back to work. Bo volunteered to drop Ciara off, and meet Hope at the station later. Hope gave her daughter a goodbye hug and kiss, with reminders not to talk to strangers, and to stay close to her friend's mom. After Hope left, Bo picked Ciara up, enthusiastically telling her about all the fun she would have at the carnival. As they walked away, a mysterious man emerged from the shadows. Hope entered the conference room after Daniel had left, and found Justin on the phone with Adrienne, his wife. "We need to talk about this now," he said, but then his call was dropped. Justin hung up in frustration, and Hope asked if everything were all right.

At the carnival, Bo presented Ciara with a stuffed unicorn he'd won, explaining that maybe it could be a replacement for Tommy Bear. He reviewed the rules with her: "Listen to what Tracy's mommy says. No wandering off on your own, no talking to strangers, and no eating too much ice cream!" He promised that he and Hope would pick her up early the next morning. Tracy's mom, Ellen, assured Bo that the girls were always careful and stayed close.

After Bo left, Tracy asked Ciara, "How's my bear?" Ciara unzipped her backpack and showed her friend the stuffed bear. Ellen announced that they were going to meet another friend's mom near the rides, and began herding the two girls, plus her other three children, in that direction. Suddenly, Tracy exclaimed, "Oh, look, ponies!" and took off running. Ellen called after her, grabbing one of the children by the hand, and told Ciara to follow her. Ciara lingered, trying to zip up her backpack. After the others had rushed off, the mysterious man sat down next to her, extending a lollipop. "Remember me?" he asked, and Ciara smiled.

8/13 At the police station, Hope walked in on the tail end of Justin's conversation with Adrianne and asked if everything was alright. Justin said things were fine. Bo called Hope to tell her that he noticed Ciara left her water bottle in the car, so he went back to the park to give it to her. Meanwhile, Ciara was talking to the strange man, who had given her candy at her birthday party. He offered to buy her toys and tried to lure her away with a lollipop. Ciara zipped up her backpack and ran off. Bo gave Ciara her water bottle and said goodbye to Ciara as the man watched from the bushes.

At the police station, Bo asked Abe to keep an eye out for Ciara when he and Theo went to the carnival. Meanwhile, Ciara left her backpack with her bear inside it on the bench while she rode carnival rides with the other kids. Hope told Justin how much she missed spending time with Ciara, and Justin said he understood how she felt and that kids grew up fast. Hope asked if all of Justin's kids were living on their own. He said that his son, Jackson, was still living at home. He said he was not as anxious for them to leave home as he once was. Hope wasn't looking forward to Ciara leaving home, either, especially because of Zack's death. After Justin, Bo, and Hope were finished with business, Justin suggested they go to the pub to get something to eat.

When Ciara returned to the bench where her backpack was, she noticed that her bear was gone. Tracy's mother, Ellen, was busy with the other kids, and the strange man approached her again asking what was wrong. Ciara told him that her bear was gone, so he offered to help her look for it if she went with him. She told him she couldn't go, so the man offered to look for the bear and then give it to her when he found it. The man went back to the bushes where the bear was. Theo and Abe saw Ciara at the carnival. Lexie soon joined them. Tracy hurt herself, and while Ellen and Lexie tended to her, Ciara walked back over to the stranger. He showed her that he had found her bear, and Ciara was grateful.

When Hope, Bo, and Justin arrived at the pub, Hope wanted to call Ellen to see how Ciara was, but Bo told her to relax and trust that Ellen would take care of Ciara. Hope agreed to stop obsessing, but then she changed her mind and decided to call anyway.

Meanwhile, Ciara thanked the man who found her bear, and the man lied and said that Bo told her to go with him. The man said that Bo told him that Hope had an accident and was in the hospital, so Ciara agreed to go with him, thinking that they were going to see her mother. Lexie examined Tracy's injury and went off to get some ice to reduce the swelling.

Justin visited with Caroline at the pub and then apologized to Bo for not being able to return to Salem for Shawn's funeral. Hope tried to reach Ellen again by phone, because she wasn't able to reach her the first time. She assumed that Ellen was driving and wasn't able to talk on the phone, so she agreed with Bo to call later. Bo had another vision of Ciara. Meanwhile, Ciara walked off with the strange man and accidentally dropped her bear.

8/14 At the Brady Pub, Hope, Justin, and Bo were having a drink together when Bo had a vision of finding Ciara's teddy bear in the woods. Panicked, Bo called to check on Ciara and learned that she had just disappeared. Frantic, Bo grabbed Hope and Justin and headed over to the carnival.

At the carnival, a frantic Bo and Hope arrived and asked Abe for an update on Ciara. Abe asked Theo if he had seen Ciara, but Theo would only say, "Seen Ciara." Lexie took Theo home, and Abe made some calls to the station to start a search for Ciara. Justin attempted to keep Bo and Hope calm, but in full panic mode, they dismissed him. Hope found Ciara's water bottle, and Bo received word of a tip from a witness claiming to have seen a car speeding away from the carnival. With the make and model of the car on record, the police were able to identify a car meeting the description abandoned down the road. Bo rushed to the scene of the abandoned car and found Ciara's teddy bear in the woods nearby. "Ciara!" Bo called out to the night sky, just as he had done in his vision.

8/17 Bo found Ciara's teddy bear and told Hope. They frantically searched for their daughter. Meanwhile, Ciara told the man who kidnapped her that she wanted to go home. The kidnapper tried to calm her by telling her she still had him and that there was no reason to be afraid. Bo and Hope are desperately searching in the park, screaming Ciara’s name. Hope asked Bo if the vision had included any more details that might lead them to Ciara. The rest of the police force showed up, and Bo filled them in on what Ciara was wearing and then sent them out to search for his little girl.

Then Bo had a vision of Ciara holding a unicorn, smiling, and waving at him. As he heard police sirens in the distance, the kidnapper warned Ciara to be very quiet and not to talk unless he said it was okay, or she would never see her parents again. When he realized that the police were gone from the area where he stashed Ciara, and then decided to tie up Ciara.

Meanwhile back at the police station, Bo told his officers to check the area again and to put out an Amber Alert. Hope wanted to go back into the field and help with the search, but Bo said they would be better served if they stayed at the station and contacted other police precincts and manned the phones. Justin agreed with Bo and said that the search area had expanded.

Hope raised the possibility that the bear wasn't Ciara's, but Bo said that he was certain Ciara dropped the bear. Then he asked Hope if she was trying to tell him something. Hope was just trying to look at the case from all angles, but Bo wanted to know if Bo gave Ciara the bear. Hope said she had no idea how Ciara got the bear, and she asked what Bo was implying with his line of questioning. Bo said the most important thing was that they get their daughter back. Justin pointed out that the tests were not back on the bear that Ciara dropped to prove that it was Ciara's.

Meanwhile, after the kidnapper tied up Ciara and put a blindfold and headphones on her, someone tried to get into the shed where they were hiding. **The End**
