Shane & Kim #1 September 26, 1984 - February 5, 1985: 8 hour original edit

DVD #1A 9/26 - 9/27/84 Shane watches Kim through a telescope. Shane records a message about watching Kim.

10/15 Andre and his cohort search Kim’s place as Shane's man watches and reports in to Shane that Tony DiMera is searching the apartment. He worries that Kim will return home while they are still there. Just as Andre is heading out the door, Caroline arrives to see Kim and stops their departure. Andre looks out the window and sees Kimberly arriving home. Shane’s man observes the same thing and says oh no that she has returned home. Andre hides in the closet. Caroline questions Kim about her job prospects and has an opinion of which job she should take and Kim loses her temper with her. Andre has his gun ready as the argument increases.

10/16 Caroline tries to smooth things over as she is just trying to help. She reminds Kim what a close family they are and wants Kim to be closer to her family. Andre can’t believe it when there is another knock at the door, and it is another Tony! Shane’s man can’t believe his eyes as he wonders what is going on! Shane arrives to take over. His man updates him that they have proof Andre has returned and is looking for the prisms. As he sits down at the telescope, he is told that Tony is there now while Andre is hiding in the closet with a woman. Shane jokes that it is a full house. He observes that Kimberly Brady is quite a woman and he really should make her acquaintance. He decides to break this little situation up before someone gets hurt. He sends his guy down to the street to cause a disturbance.

Shane calls Kim and pretends to be the building super to ask her about her guest who has parked his car across the driveway. Tony denies he did so. Kim assures the super that she will go down with her guest and makes sure that he moves his car. After she hangs up, Shane’s guy comes back and reports he had no problem breaking into Tony’s car and moving it! Just as Kim and Tony are leaving, Andre makes a noise in the closet and they are almost busted. Shane requests that Andre be followed to his base of operation. He muses that things just got interesting. He watches intently as Kim stands at the window quietly staring out.

10/17 Kim shows up at Brady family party and her father starts interrogating her about her career. Everyone is shocked that she quit her job working for Anna’s company as she loved it. When Shawn gets out of line and voices are raised, Roman interrupts. Shane is watching Kim as she cries heartbreaking tears while looking out the window. Shane is moved as he witnesses her incredible soul wrenching pain.

10/19 Kim runs into Clark, an old "friend" from Europe. He wants to continue their “relationship”. She agrees and asks him to give her a few minutes head start before he comes over. She changes into a sexy outfit, puts on soft music, and lights candles. He shows up with her favorite champagne. She hears her uncle in her head about playing games and gets distracted. When Clark asks her if the payment is accepted taking her aback. She admits it has been awhile since she has done that. He tells her that is all the more appealing. Shane is watching, that is until Kim draws the curtains and pulls Clark towards her.

10/31 Shane meets Kim for the first time when she bumps into him at a Halloween party at Blondie’s. He offers to buy her a drink, and she accepts. But when Michelle leaves, he rushes out to follow her and listens her talking to Andre. Shane later returns to Blondie’s and apologizes to Kim for running out earlier. She seems completely unconcerned as he makes the excuse he left her wallet somewhere. He tells her that he is staying at the Mayflower Hotel. She comments that it is right by her apartment. He observes, “What a charming coincidence” as he stares into her eyes entranced with the beautiful Miss Brady. When she turns to go, he is disappointed but she remarks it is late.

11/1 Kim hides her hooker money behind a family picture. As soon as she leaves, Shane enters. He is looking for photos of the Bermuda Triangle and he intends to find them so they can locate DiMera’s island. Shane trashes Kim's apartment while searching while she is at the airport seeing Roman off. Shane takes her Carribean photo shoot negatives. She returns home to find her apartment trashed, but the money behind the picture was not taken. A puzzled Kim wonders out loud what in the world do they want?

11/2 Kim goes back to the airport to to talk to Roman before he leaves, but learns he had to go to the hospital (Eric is sick and needed a blood transfusion). Kim heads to the hospital and runs into Abe. She tells him that her apartment was trashed. She doesn’t know what they are looking for or who is after her. She tells Abe that nothing of value was taking and she is scared! Roman approaches and she fills Roman in Shane has had pictures made out of the negatives he stole from Kim. The negatives Shane took are not what he expected and not photos of Stefano’s island. Shane is upset as it is too late to stop that flight to Haiti. He is determined to find what he is after.

11/6 As Kim is cleaning up, she sees news of the missing plane that crashed on TV and learns that Hope was on the plane. Marlena calls and tells her Bo was on the missing plane too. She has been trying to call her but the phone was off the hook. Roman arrives at her place and tells her that he has been trying to call her. He confirms that Bo was on the missing plane but they haven’t heard anything else yet. Roman asks her if she knows anything about this? She says no, they didn’t take anything again. He wants her to go stay with their folks but she says no way as her and papa fight every time they see each other. He tells her Eric was just released from the hospital and Marlena could use her help so he suggests she go to his place. She agrees. Roman suggests the plane could have been sabotaged thinking he was on it.

Roman calls the ISA with a Code Red and reports that he needs to meet with his contact. Shane is put through to Roman and comments that it has been a long time and he has been expecting his call. Roman wants to talk to him about Stefano. Shane asks if he can get Kimberly out of her apartment? Roman agrees and then questions how Shane knew he was there and he tells him he has had her place under observation and is looking at it right now. Roman is surprised when Shane turns out to be Hope and Larry’s butler, he had only talked with him on the phone before. Roman peppers him with questions, and he wants confirmation that Stefano is alive. Shane does confirm and Roman wants to know why he wasn’t notified sooner. Shane says that his hatred towards Stefano is quite personal. Shane is here now as Roman has gotten himself involved. Roman demands to know how Kim is involved in all of this? Roman realizes that Shane is the one who has been trashing his sister’s apartment. He reports that they know Stefano has an uncharted island compound somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle and Kim had taken pictures of that area. If Stefano thought she knew the location, she would be dead. So the surveillance was to protect Kim.

11/7 Shane meets Abe and introduces himself and fills him in on his and Roman's connection. Shane reports that Kim is under surveillance as they believe she might be able to lead them to Stefano. She did a photo shoot a few years ago of the Bermuda triangle and she may have taken a picture of Stefano’s island that does not appear on any maps. Shane tells Abe that Andre planned on hijacking the plane as he is after the prism he believed to have been on board. Shane explains that there are three prisms and when they are brought together they will provide incredible power. Roman calls Abe, he is on his way to Haiti.

Abe and Shane go to search Kimberly's apartment. Abe asks if Roman knows that Shane has been terrorizing his sister? Shane laments unfortunately the ISA doesn’t go for search warrants. Kim comes home and catches them there. Abe officially introduces them and that Shane has been Roman’s ISA contact for years. Shane tells her she has been under surveillance and Kim realizes Shane knows about her secret life. She is puzzled what this has to do with Bo and the missing plane. He tells her about the photos and that Stefano’s people think she has them and he has been watching her for her own protection. Abe asks her to think about where those negatives are as they need to find that island and save Bo’s life!

11/9 Kim is talking to her mom about childhood memories of taking pictures and suddenly she remembers the box of negatives she sent to her parents while she was in Paris. She thinks the negatives Shane wants might be in that box! An excited Kim retrieves them from the attic. Shane arrives at Marlena’s to meet up with Kim and he meets Marlena for the first time.

11/13 Kim is staying with Marlena as they worry about not hearing from Roman. He is determined to stay until he finds their friends and family. Don shows up to comfort Marlena as she waits and Kim watches in interest as Marlena’s ex-husband.

Larry confronts Shane at Blondie’s and wants to know where he has been? He knows Shane was hired by Maxwell Hathaway to spy on him and he wants to know where Max is. Shane corrects him that he was hired by Jonathan Carlton and has never met Hathaway. He reports he was relieved of his duties when Mrs. Welch didn’t want him around leaving Larry very confused. Shane calls Marlena to let her know that he is leaving Salem as he thinks he can find the island thanks to Kim’s photographs. He asks if he could stop by to see her before he leaves. When Shane arrives, Kim confronts him knowing about her other line of work. She demands to know what he wants to keep her secrets, figuring he must want something. He admits he does know but that is her business and he isn’t going to discuss her secrets with anyone.

Shane tells Marlena that he tried to keep Roman out of this as he knows the trouble Stefano has caused them already. He promises that when he finds Roman, he will send him straight back to Salem. He will make contact with him as soon as he arrives in the Carribean. While Kim is at lunch with Marlena and Don, a mysterious woman invites her to join her. When a curious Kim does, Linda Anderson blackmails Kimberly into being a call girl for her.

11/15 Kim’s mother pressures her into spending more time at their place while Kim tries to evade making a commitment. Kim is surprised when Linda arrives. Kim shares that she knew Linda in Europe. Linda starts to tease about Kim working for her and all the male interest she had which Caroline was very curious about. Caroline leaves them alone together and Kim is furious that Linda came into her home and said those things to her mother. Linda dangles a vhs tape in front of her marked “Kimberly” and is happy to share it with her mother and her father. Kim reluctantly agrees to work for her again. Linda wants to discuss the details but Kim is livid and throws her out as she screams that her baby brother may be dead, and her older brother is in danger off looking for him.

11/16 Shane arrives at Stefano's compound and we get some cool spy scenes of Shane sneaking around. He finds a document titled, “The Triad Experiment”. But all too soon he is caught by Petrov and taken out of the action. The Brady and Horton clans gather at the hospital chapel to say prays for the safe return of their loved ones. Kim is waiting in the chapel, crying. One by one they stand and say their prayers: Tom, Howie, Marlena, Caroline, Carrie, Shawn, Kim, and Alice. They all gather back at Alice’s.

11/20 Linda & Kim discuss the rules of the blackmail and then Kim turns her first trick for Linda. As she entertains her client in her apartment, she pulls her curtains after carefully searching around looking for any sign of Shane.

11/21 Petrov leaves Shane handcuffed and shackled at the compound with a bomb ticking nearby as he relishes in Shane’s impending death.

11/22 Kim arrives to share Thanksgiving at Marlena’s. She is upset that there is still no word from Bo. She tenses when her parent’s arrive. Roman calls and everyone listens as Marlena talks to him. Marlena reports that Shane seems to be missing and that there was a volcanic eruption on Stefano’s island. Kimberly is especially interested in the Shane update. Mickey brings out the turkey. They hold hands as Tom leads a prayer for the safe return of their loved ones. He thanks God for the feast, although it is hard to feel thankful right now. The phone rings again and Marlena learns that Roman has spotted the wreckage of a small plane from a helicopter. Marlena reports to everyone else that Roman saw survivors waving at the helicopter. Everyone erupts in cheers at this good news.

11/23 Kim, Shawn, and Caroline wait with Marlena for further word from Roman. When the phone rings again, it is wonderful news, all the passengers are alive! Everyone is okay!

11/27 When Kim checks in with Marlena, she tells her that someone has died on the island but she doesn’t know who. Everyone gathers to await the news and the Coast Guard finally calls and tells her the pilot, Daphne DiMera, and Andre are the ones who have died. He tells her that everyone else is alright. Bo calls and everyone is laughing asking how Hope is, how he is. He shakily tells Marlena that it is Roman who isn’t okay. She freezes and asks him to repeat that. He has to tell her that Roman is dead. Kim dissolves begging for her brother.

11/28 Heartbreaking scenes as Caroline, Shawn, Marlena talk to Carrie about her father’s death as Kim is there for support. Don arrives to give Marlena his support, and he and Kim take a walk down on the docks. Kim talks to Don about Roman.

11/29 Shane approaches a grief stricken Bo who is shocked to see Hope’s butler. He introduces himself as Shane Donovan, ISA, formerly Roman’s contact. He apologizes to Bo for Roman’s death and promises his death won’t be in vain. He asks Bo to help him get Stefano. He tells him he needs someone like Bo, who has something at stake in all of this. Bo questions where he was and why he didn’t show up to help Roman. Shane explains about being held captive and that he loved Roman too! (Okay but they had never met before that brief contact and only talked on the phone LOL!) Bo wants nothing to do with Shane and blames him for Roman’s death, he is lost in his grief and feeling like he let Roman down. Shane hands Bo some documents and Bo is surprised to see so many mentions of the Bradys. He learns that Stefano was trying to gain political power in the US and that is why he backed Larry Welch. When Bo tells Shane to leave him alone, he just wants Stefano to die a slow torturous death. Shane suggests that Bo keep reading. Bo learns that Stefano has a brain tumor and his desperation to find the prisms is linked to some treatment/cure for him.

Shane comments that Bo knows New Orleans and has a stake in all of this. He reminds Bo that he was there when the first prism came into the US. Bo snarks about it disappearing into the mouth of an alligator. Shane informs him the first prism has been found. Shane wants Bo to go with him to New Orleans, he has to get there ASAP. Bo is resistant, while Shane points out that if Stefano succeeds then Roman’s death is in vain. However, if they can get to that prism first then Stefano will die a slow death that Bo wants for him and asks isn’t that worth it? Bo determines the Phoenix can’t rise again! Shane wants to leave immediately. Bo tells Shane that he has to go back to Salem for his folks in the wake of his brother’s death. He has to see his family, his mother, his sister Kimberly. Shane reminds him that his family is strong. Shane tells him that the job comes first and Roman understood that. Bo will not be swayed on his plan to return to Salem so Shane arranges a plane to take him home. Bo comments that Roman’s death changes a lot of things.

12/6 Roman's wake begins as the family gathers at Marlena’s. Shane arrives as Kim answers the door. She jokes that she is surprised that he didn’t peak in the window. He assures her that the telescope has been dismantled. Marlena confronts Shane blaming him for to keeping his promise to bring Roman alive and she can’t believe he had the never to show his face there! He walks away when she is very upset but later approaches her. He sincerely tells her that he was captured as he landed and he barely got off the island himself. He apologizes to her for not being able to get to Roman in time and his death is a great loss for them all. Marlena acknowledges that it is because of Shane finding them that the rest of the survivors made it. Marlena apologizes for raising her voice to him as she knows what high regard Roman held Shane in. Marlena and Shane toast to Roman, and she toasts to his friend Shane. Shawn's brother Eric shows up, and Kimberly is shaken to her core.

12/7 Roman's wake continues. Kim can’t stand being in the same room with Eric and quickly leaves. Shane notices her sudden departure and follows her out. As Kim is sitting alone on the docks, Shane joins her. An observant Shane comments on her reaction to Eric. She admits she hates him as he asks why? She changes the subject to Stefano, and he tells her that he would rather stick with Kim as the subject. He is interested in learning all about her. She brushes him off not about to talk about her experiences with Eric yet. 12/11 Linda arrives bearing flowers. She makes cracks about Kimberly’s robe and suggests she spruce herself up a bit as if she works for her, she has to clean up her act. Kim tells her that she isn’t going to work for her again. She gives Kim a little book and asks her to collect details about all of her clients. Linda tells her that she will have her first client that night. Kim tells her she isn’t ready but Linda isn’t listening to her. Later, Kim gets a call from her handler Francine about her 3:00 appointment. Kim tells her she isn’t working today and takes the phone off the hook ad hurriedly leaves her apartment to seek refuge at her parent’s. Kim takes refuge at her parent's place. While she is napping on the couch, Eric comes in and drops a bowl of chowder and freaks her out. She starts screaming at him to get out. Her father comes in and she excuses that she had a bad dream, grabs her stuff and runs out.

12/12 Shane reports to his supervisor that he knows where the second prism is. He is told her better have a good reason for not retrieving it. Shane reports that if he takes it then Stefano will focus on gutting prism #2 back. Since he is the only person who knows where prism #3 is, they need to wait for Stefano to retrieve that one and then strike when he has all three prism getting them all. Shane is warned that this better not go wrong. He observes if it does that he will probably be dead. He goes to the gym shopping around and asking questions. Nurse Honeycutt steals Zack’s teddy bear (Megan Hathaway had stashed the prism in the bear). Bo comes in as she is running out and Shane comes in and sees the action. Bo wonders to Shane why she would take the child’s animal. They find the bear left behind with a tear and stuffing coming out after the prism was retrieved. Stefano is thrilled to get the prism!

12/13 Shane arrives at Bo’s and tells him he is there to offer him a job working with Shane, starting right now! Bo tells him that he doesn’t want any part of working with Shane or the ISA. Shane doesn’t believe him as he saw the look in his eyes yesterday. He knows that Bo realizes what was in the Teddy Bear and Bo would have had it if Shane hadn’t gotten in the way. Shane says he can’t give him the details if Bo isn’t going to work with him. Shane questions doesn’t Bo want to get Stefano DiMera, the man who killed his brother. Bo tells him he knows damn well Bo wants to get him. Shane points out that is why they should work together. Bo is going to get Stefano on his own. Shane observes that Bo thinks he can get Stefano without any resources or back up while Stefano has unlimited resources at his command. Shane tells him that it would be impossible. Bo is furious at the ISA for Roman’s death and Bo insists that he will do this job on his own and tells Shane to get out.

Shane is using a table at Shenanigan’s as his office as Kim comes in for coffee. Chris notices that Kim is upset. She claims she is just tired but she can’t go home as her place is being fumigated. Chris can tell something is bothering her but she doesn’t want to talk about it. Shane approaches an awkward Kimberly and asks her if she wants him to leave. She doesn’t but tells him she is not up for conversation. He tells her neither is he but no reason he has to sit alone. He then suggests that cheesecake will chase the blues away and makes her laugh when he orders the entire thing, not just a slice! After they have dived into the cheesecake, she is in a much better mood. He teased that since the treatment has worked they should order another one as she would be positively euphoric. Kim admits that she loves her family but hasn’t been very close to them. She says she learned how to keep secrets as a child and she has been keeping secrets since then and she figures he knows something about that in his line of work. He tells her he was married and she was killed due to his work.

12/18 Shane is back snooping at the health club. Kim’s handler tracks her down at Shenanigan’s and gives her an appointment and warns her not to disappoint madam. Shane is working out and talks to Pete. Kim is looking stunning in a red gown. Later she runs out of her bedroom telling him that she doesn’t like the kind of games he wants to play. Shane is at his place across from Kimberly. Kim is being roughed up by her john. Shane fights the temptation to watch Kim and giving in sees Kim trying to fight the guy off and him knocking her around. Shane tries to call Kim but the guy yanks the phone out of her hand before she can answer it. The guy knocks her around and Shane calls the Fire Department to create a diversion to help Kim without revealing himself. The sirens scare the creep off and the fire department comes to her door after he has left and tells her it was a false alarm. She stares out of her window wondering, and says no it couldn’t be.

Dvd #1B 12/19 Abe stops a distracted Kim and notices the bruise on her face. She spins a tale about an accident though he urges her to report it. When Marlena comes in, she learns Eric is babysitting Carrie. She suddenly runs out and races to Marlena’s. When she gets there, she asks Carrie if she is okay? Carrie tells her they are reading and that afterwards they will play some games. She sends Carrie upstairs and confronts Eric about the games he played with her as a child. He says they were in all fun and games. She demands to know how dare he target Carrie, that is Roman’s child! She threatens if he doesn’t leave that she will call the cops and tell everyone what he did to her. He doesn’t believe that Shawn would believe her for a second. She warns him that he won’t be playing any games with Carrie!

12/21 Kim stops in at the survivor party and briefly talks to Bo & Hope. She feels out of place not having been in the plane crash and soon heads out. A somber Kim goes down to walk along the pier and is soon joined by Shane. He sweetly puts his arm around her shoulder, just too keep her warm he promises! He is missing England and she is missing Roman. He admits England really isn’t home anymore as he doesn’t have any family and he hasn’t been there in years. She asks if he doesn’t get lonely? He says that he has his work but it would be nice some day to have a family during the holiday season. She offers he could be an honorary Brady just for the holidays and invites him to come with her for hot chocolate by fireside.

12/24 Kim and Shane and Marlena arrive for Christmas Eve at the Brady's. Kim hesitantly asks Shawn where uncle Eric is? She is relieved when he says that he went to aunt Sarah’s. Shane is grateful to be sitting down to a real Christmas dinner, as he usually spends holidays alone. Shawn says a prayer. Bo arrives with Diane and Jake just in time for dinner. Marlena toasts to the Bradys. Bo gives Kimberly a beautiful negligee in case she ever gets married! Not a dry eye in the house when Marlena gives Bo the fishing pole that belonged to Roman. Bo gets chocked up but he doesn’t believe he deserves it. Shane charms Caroline with compliments on her cooking as Kim looks at him with a special twinkle in her eye. When they have a moment alone, she asks him if he heard the fire engines the other night when the fire fighters came to her apartment. He claims he was out and hopes there was no damage?

Shawn and Caroline are ready to go to mass, Shawn brings out the mistletoe and gives her a kiss. Then he holds it over Kim’s head and says it is her turn as she is embarrassed. Shawn tells him that kissing under the mistletoe is important as it brings the pixie’s to your heart for the whole coming year. Shane agrees he would not be wanting to break tradition. He leans in and sweetly kisses Kimberly softly on the lips, in their first kiss. Next Shane stops in at Shenanigan’s for a sing-a-long party. Shane pulls Bo aside and wants to talk to him about Stefano and won’t take no for an answer. Shane reminds him that Stefano doesn’t take a break for Christmas and will take a risk very soon and expose himself. He warns Bo that Stefano has two of the prisms and they are taking a chance that he will make a mistake while going for the third one. He tells Bo again that he is needed and it is very important. Bo still won’t agree to work for the ISA.

12/26 When Shawn asks where Bo is, Caroline tells him he is with his friends (ladies of the evening). Shawn is horrified that Bo is socializing with “those” kind of people and Kim objects. He tells her Bo is sullying the Brady name and wants Kim to talk to him. After he storms off, Caroline wishes Kim would talk to Bo. She goes to find Bo at Blondie’s. He is partying with a couple of ladies and has been drinking. She tells him that the folks sent her over to talk to him. She says she doesn’t care who he hangs out with, but he is flaunting it by bringing them into Blondie’s. He tells her he had gone to the Fish Market but Shawn was so rude that he decided to bring them to Blondies’.

While Bo is walking them out, one of Kim’s former johns comes in and won’t take no for an answer. She is freaked that she will be exposed to Bo. She sends the john to the bar to get him away from her table. Bo comes back in and sits at the table and the john returns and demands to know where the “pro” is. Bo thinks he is talking about the ladies who just left and instructs him how to find them. He smirks he doesn’t want those low lives but the high class girl who was at this table. The guy won’t take no for an answer though Bo tries to tell him that he is there with his sister. He laughs and says he knows she is a call girl. Bo punches him and knocks him down.

12/27 Kim is surprised to see her Uncle Eric at the Fish Market. She warns him to stay away from him and starts to walk away. He grabs her and says he wants to clear this up right now! She tries to ignore him but he is not having it. She confronts him on what he did to her as a child. He calls them “little games” and he doesn’t like the insinuations she is making. She accuses him of molesting her from the time she was 10 years old until she was old enough and brave enough to leave town. He claims he was just showing her love and affective and so why didn’t she tell anyone? Shawn comes in and interrupting their confrontation. She leaves abruptly and Shawn is offended and wonders why bee is in her bonnet. Eric admits she has never been very warm towards him and he doesn’t understand it.

Shawn calls Kim and demands that she go to the Salem PD immediately, and meet him at Abe’s office. He can’t even tell her what is going on, it is so preposterous and the Bradys need to rally. Shawn and Marlena arrive at the PD, and Shawn is yelling at Abe over the charges threatening to sue the PD. Abe tells Shawn there was a witness to Eric being with the little girl and her running away crying. Kim arrives and hears the commotion at the door and realizes Eric has been charged with Child Molestation. She stays outside of the door and softly says to herself that he did it.

12/28 Kim runs into Shane at the Body Connection. He notices that she is upset and she admits to having a very bad day. She declares it is worse that bad. He asks if there is anything he can do to help? She says yes and asks him to wait for her to change. He takes her back to his place for tea time and so she can see no telescope. He informs her that he never misses afternoon tea. She wants to leave but he entices her to stay as he gives her a cup of tea and tells her she looks like she could use it. He says he is sorry to hear about her uncle. He remembers her reaction to him at Roman’s wake. He asks if there is any reason to have him in jail for something he didn’t do. She yells at him that Eric is slime, a horrible man who deserves everything that is happening to him. Shane starts firing questions at her if she has any information about this case. She stops his questions and says she knows he did it as he did it to her! Shane is horrified as this sinks in. She says she has never told anyone before and now he knows all of her secrets. He tells her that her testimony could keep him in jail. She says she can’t do that to her father as he has been reeling since Roman’s death and he idolizes his brother. Kim admits she didn’t sleep that she keeps seeing that little girl’s face in her mind. She wishes there had been someone there to help her, someone who could understand. Shane encourages her that she is no longer a victim, no longer that scared and powerless little girl.

Kim goes to see Abe and tells him that Eric is guilty of molesting that little girl and she is sure of it. Abe reports the little girl isn’t able to talk about what happened. Kim tells him that she knows what he did, as he did it to her. Abe is shocked and asked if anyone in her family knows. She says she never told anyone. Her father was sick, and Roman was trying to hold the family together. She couldn’t tell him that her uncle was touching her. She felt dirty and ashamed, like she had done something wrong. Abe needs her to testify in open court. She says she can’t do that to her father. Abe warns her they don’t have any evidence as the little girl won’t talk to anyone and they won’t be able to hold him. She asks to be able to talk to the little girl and is able to get her to open up and get enough evidence to prosecute. Kim worries about what this will do to her father. Abe reminds her that Eric is sick and her father is just going to have to come to terms with it. Abe compliments that it took great courage on Kim’s part to do what she did today. She asks him to keep her secret and reminds her that she trusts him. Abe suggests that she tell her family but she doesn’t want to do anything to hurt them. Bo comes in and wants to talk to Eric insisting that he is innocent. Abe tells him he is nailed to the wall on this.

Marlena goes to see Shane and wants to know what he knows about the Triad Experiment. He tells her he can’t discuss this with her and asks her to go home and to forget she every heard that term.

1/3 Kim thanks Shane for the talk the other day and tells him she went to the police and told them what Eric did to her. Kim tells him that she was able to take control of her life for the first time. She felt like she helped that little girl and Eric will be off the streets. Kim compliments that Shane is always so calm, cool, and collected no matter what she tells him. He is always so together and nothing ever phases him. He comments that she seems a little down. She would like to feel freerer about some things in her life. He advises that she just has to take control. She tries to explain that sometimes there are circumstances, like blackmail. She claims it is a friend that is being blackmailed by a video tape. Shane tells her there is a device could erase the tape in a crowded room without anyone ever knowing about it. He says he should be able to get this device by next week and he will show her how to use it.

Kim shows up at the Fish Market and finds Bo working the store while his parents are gone. Mom is talking to a lawyer while Pop is visiting Eric in jail. Bo reports that he might be bailed out today. She tells Bo that can’t happen. He doesn’t understand as uncle is innocent. Bo doesn’t understand her attitude as she was a favorite of Eric’s and he was always spending time with her. Bo doesn’t understand and keeps pushing her to defend Eric and say he is innocent. Suddenly she bursts out that she knows he is guilty as he did the same thing to her! Bo is shocked as Kim begs him to tell her that he believes her. She asks Bo if he remembers the fishing trip that Eric wanted to take Kim on alone. She had begged not to go and her father made her go with him. She tries to explain that she never told anyone as she felt ashamed like she had done something wrong. She tells him that Eric told her no one would believe her. She looks at him in horror and asks if he was right? Bo reassures her. Kim asks him to make sure that monster stays in jail. Bo promises to talk to their father.

After Kim has left, Shawn returns and complains to Bo about him being locked up. Shawn wants to bust him out like Bo and Alice did with Roman. Bo stops him and tells him that Eric is nothing like Roman and he is guilty. Shawn can’t believe what he is hearing. Bo tells him that Eric can’t get out of jail as he did that to Kimberly when she was 10 years old. Shawn blows up at Bo and accuses him of trying to ruin this family and he wished Bo had died instead of Roman! When Kim returns, Shawn tells her that Bo is lying and he can’t even repeat what he said. Kim tells him Bo wasn’t lying. Shawn stops her and warns her he doesn’t want to hear this garbage. She says she has to tell him the truth, she is sorry she didn’t before but she didn’t want to hurt him. She continues that he did those things that Shawn has called disgusting to Kimberly when she was a little girl. She doesn’t want to see him back out on the streets where he can hurt another child. Shawn grabs his chest and sinks to the floor as he has a heart attack.

1/7 At the hospital, Caroline asks Kim what happened with her father that led to his heart attack. Kim tells her about the fight she had with her father and reluctantly reveals that it was about Eric being guilty of him molesting her when she was 10. Caroline can’t believe it. Caroline asks Kim why she kept quiet so long? Kim replies she was afraid of what Caroline would think of her. Kim thought she had done wrong. She revealed she tried to tell Shawn, but she was never able to say the words for fear that her father would no longer love her. Caroline reassures Kim it's not her fault, but Kim just feels like she caused her father’s heart attack by telling him. Kim and Bo go in to see Shawn, and he briefly opens his eyes briefly. This gives them hope.

1/9 Shane goes to visit Shawn and runs into Kim. He comforts Kim and then tells her that he has the electromagnet for her friend to erase a videotape. She will come by his apartment later so he can show her how to use it. Shane goes over how to use it though Kim is horrified he is going to erase a Bogart & Becall movie. He says it is either that or Tracy/Hepburn. She is thrilled to see how easily it works, and hugs Shane and leaves. Shane finds out the Telex came from Salem for Stefano. Shane wonders who would have DiMera telex number.

1/11 Bo has left repeated messages for Shane to call him. Shane finally gets back to Bo and tells him to come over. Kim arrives at Shane's excited because this is the day her friend ends the blackmail. Shane warns her this could be dangerous for “her friend” and he offers to go with her, but she says she must do this alone. Kim goes over the plan to place the tape over her purse. Kim leaves and Bo arrives. He tells Shane that Megan is Stefano's daughter, and he thinks this is new info. Shane reports that he has known this information for a long time. He didn't tell Bo because he refused to work with ISA, if he would have agreed then he would have told Bo. He explains Max Hathaway was hired to pose as Megan's father. He urges Bo to rethink working with the ISA but warns him that Bo would have to follow orders and do things his way. Shane then leaves to meet with his boss. At the meeting, Shane is informed that a man named Bronsky is coming to Salem and wants Kim as his escort. He wants Shane to get her and have her squeeze Bronsky for information. Shane refuses. When his boss asked if he was attached to Kim, Shane responded no.

Kim shows up at the Salem Inn and Linda informs her of a new client. Kim tells her Shawn is still in critical condition, but Linda won’t allow any more time off. Kim tries to quit but Linda pulls out the tape of Kim and Hart. Kim takes it and puts it over her purse with the electromagnet inside. Kim says she wants to see what is on the tape before she cooperates with Linda. If it is incriminating then she won’t give Linda anymore trouble. Linda tries to play it, but it is blank as Kim breathes a sigh of relief! Linda then pulls out the master copy, which Kim also puts on her purse. She tells Linda how sick she is and then demands she play this tape. This tape is also blank and Linda is upset as there are no more copies. Kim leaves, free and clear of Linda’s blackmail. Kim gleefully returns to Shane's apartment thanking him and telling him it worked perfectly. She offers to take him out, but he is upset and declines. He just can’t spoil her good mood and tells her it can wait. She suggests that they celebrate tomorrow night, but he can’t make it then either and says perhaps the night after. He says he will call her. They say good night and Kim leaves.

1/14 Bo comes to Shane with a compromise to get Stefano. Kim calls and wants to come over, but he turns her down and tells her that it is not a good time. He tells her they can talk later and hangs up. Shane agrees to put Bo on ISA payroll as long as he shares all info he comes across, in return, he will be told only what he needs to know. Shane informs Bo of the importance of finding the prisms and that they even let him find the second prism. He says that the prisms can change the world and agrees to let Bo have Stefano after the ISA has all the prisms. Bo agrees and goes to Megan and finds a telex in her desk that he takes to Shane. Later, Shane then tells Bo to get close to Megan in order to find out more about the prisms. Bo is not thrilled with the prospect of pretending to be in love with Megan. Don comes over with a photography job for Kim and then they have lunch together.

Nickerson tells Shane that Bronsky is interested in Kim but Shane opposes getting her involved. He is not given a choice. Kim comes over with a gift for Shane. He doesn’t know what to do as he doesn’t get a lot of presents. She teases him on how to open a gift. When he does, it is a photo of the firehouse which he genuinely loves. She points out she noticed his interest when the fire truck came to her place a few weeks ago. Shane has an odd reaction to her gift, which prompts Kim to talk about the elephant in the room, her being a prostitute. She knows what he has seen through her window. She tells him that she was the person being blackmailed and she never has to go back to that life. He is really very happy for her. She tells him that she got a photography job. She asks him if now he knows what she was, if he would want to be her friend. She feels hugely relieved that is all out in the open.

He doesn’t feel any better, if anything he feels worse. He tells her that her speech touched him but he is suddenly at a loss for words. Shane tells Kim that Leopold Bronsky is coming to Salem. She admits that she knows him. He tells her that he knows that and that is why he needs her to do what he is going to ask her to do. The ISA believes that Bronsky has made contact with Stefano and that he is bringing the third prism with him. He needs someone to gain his trust and act as an agent to get information out of him. She shakily asks what she is supposed to do to get his trust? Shane says anything, anything that she has to. Kim is heart broken. She thought she was moving away from that life thanks to him but he wants her to keep doing it but now for the ISA. Kim says she is done selling herself, tells him to go to hell and storms out.

1/15 Nickerson tells Shane that Bronsky is arriving soon and wants to ensure Kim is ready. Shane informs him that Kim refuses and Shane opposes this. Nickerson doesn’t care as it would take too long for another woman to gain his trust. He orders Shane to get Kim to change her mind. Shane goes to Kim and tries to explain that this was not his idea, he is only there on the orders of his superior. He goes into the situation with Stefano and how much he hates asking her this. Bronsky is the only person who knows where the third prism is located but if Stefano gets a hold of it, he could change the world. He hates this, hates having to ask this of her but she is needed. He reminds her Roman dedicated his life to stopping people like DiMera. Kim shoots back with "look where it got him.", prompting Shane to leave.

Kim looks through her photos and finds one of Roman. She looks at it and cries, then she calls Shane, and tells him, she's changed her mind. Shane arrives after Kim calls and invites him back over. She tells him she has changed her mind and will do what he wants to catch Stefano. He hates himself for making her do this. She assures him that this is her choice and is firm that no one is making her do anything. They drink tea and look at a picture of Roman. Shane wonders what Roman would think, saying he would be angry, but would understand. Kim agrees holding back tears. Shane tries to comfort her, but realizes he is not doing any good and leaves.

1/16 Don sees Kim at Shenanigans, and asks her about the photographs. She seems frazzled and admits she hasn't developed them yet. He also has to remind her that Shawn is coming home. Kim mentions she will see him later and will try to get Don's photos developed and delivered tonight. She then pulls out the dossier and starts reading. Don senses Kim wants to be alone, so he leaves, but let's her know he's always there to talk. Bo comes in and asks Kim when she's going to see Shawn. She says soon, but she doesn't know what to say, and feels she really hurt him by telling the truth about Eric. Bo assures her that Shawn is feeling the same way about Kim. She then asks Bo what he's up to. When he tells her he's doing everything to make Stefano pay for Roman's death, she says me too, confusing him. She quickly makes an excuse to leaves when Shane comes in and sits with Bo. He confronts Shane and asks him what is going on between Shane and his sister? Shane says Kim had been nervous, but all he came to Salem to do was a job and that is all he has done here. They then talk about how Bronsky is arriving soon. Megan walks in and they stage a fight where Bo defends her character against Shane.

Kim arrives home and sits in the living room with Shawn. He tells her if he would known about Eric he would have done something, and that Kim can come to him with any problem she has. She jokes, "What problem could I have now." They are both teary-eyed. He then asks her about finding a man, and brings up Shane. Kim says he's not her type, so Shawn let's it go, but hope's she will reconsider. He asks if she can stay for dinner, but she says no and she should go ahead and leave. Kim gets home and picks up the dossier, she looks out her window to find Shane, in his apartment looking back at her.

1/22 Shane and Kim meet at Blondie’s. Shane tells her that Bo does not know that Kim is working with them. He continues that Bronsky is having lunch there and Shane tipped the waitress to seat him across from Kim. It will be up to her to get him to notice her. Kim questions when she should sleep with Bronsky? After the first date? Shane takes offense but soon Bronsky arrives and Shane assures her that he will be nearby. Kim walks by Bronsky’s table and “drops” her purse in front of him. He reaches down to pick it up and is pleasantly surprised to see Kimberly Brady! He invites her to join him for a drink and tells her what a delight to run into her. He remembers that she grew up in Salem and he tells her he remembers everything about her. She flirts with him, and makes it clear she is single. She asks what he is doing in Salem and he tells her about the Ice Show. Bronsky leaves and promises to call her. He kisses her as he leaves and as soon as he is out of sight, she wipes off his kiss. Shane comes up and Kim tells him she didn’t get much information. She tells Shane that when she asked about the ice show he said it was for money but she doesn’t believe that as he has a lavish life style and an Ice Show is not exactly his style. She thinks there is more to him being here. Kim says to get more info she will have to give him more then a peck on the cheek. She gets up to leave saying how much she detests this job.

1/24 Bo stops by Shane’s house, and Shane takes him to task as he has been gone the past two days. Bo reports that he has been searching for the missing Melissa. Shane reams him that he has to get back on the job and Bo has to put his personal feelings aside. He advises to let the police handle Melissa, and Bo get back to work on Megan and locating the prism. Shane tells him that his operative is very close to getting him valuable intel. He is sure that the prism is being smuggled in through the Ice Show.

Kim and Shane meet up at Shenanigan’s and she shows him some photos she has taken in black and white. He loves them and shares them with Chris when he comes over. Chris says they are museum quality good but questions if that is how she sees the world? So lonely and bleak? She quickly gathers her stuff to leave. Kim stops by Shane’s later and he immediately asks if she has any information. She wonders if he isn’t going to offer her some tea (reminding him of his manners)? Once he does, she tells him that she can’t do it. He agrees then don’t go through with it which surprises her as she dreaded telling him. She asks what about his job and the case? Oh well. She wants to get some fresh air and invites him to take a walk with her.

Kim begins taking pictures of Shane on the pier and they joke around as he poses for her. She stumbles and he catches her in one of those soap opera moments as the world slows down and they stare into each other’s eyes. She is surprised how nice he is considering she quit the job. Hee admits he does need her to work Bronsky, but he respects her decision. He tells her how special she is. Kim reconsiders and once again agrees to go through with the op. She promises she will do whatever it takes and she won’t back out again. She turns to go to call Bronsky and he stops her from going. He tells her tomorrow is soon enough and he pulls her close and sweetly kisses her on her forehead.

1/25 Shane comes over to Kim’s as she is trying to make him a pot roast for dinner. Kim tells Shane she can get all the information she needs out of Bronsky without sleeping with him. At first, Shane is upset about her saying she would do anything and now seeming to back out. Kim makes it clear she would do anything to catch him and she will get the info out of Bronsky. She calms him down and tells him she will do whatever she has to get her brother’s killer. He asks her if she has forgiven him for putting her in this situation. She says of course she has or she wouldn’t be making him dinner. She says that with some flirting and gaining his trust, she thinks she can get the information. They sit down to have dinner, when a drunk Bronsky starts banging at her door, forcing Shane to go out the fire escape.

Bronsky downs more shots of vodka and starts kissing Kim. She gets him to sit down for dinner and start asking him questions about the Ice Show. Stefano calls and orders Bronksy to meet him immediately. He mentions something about the meeting having to do with Diamond Ice, and Kim tries to press him on what that is, but he must leave. Bronsky arrives to meet Stefano to go over the plans for the prism. Then they do cheers to Diamond Ice. Shane comes over and Kim tells him all she got was something about the meeting having to do with Diamond Ice. Shane believes his meeting was with Stefano about the prism and that Diamond Ice is just a code name for the prisms. He tells her that they are getting closer, and she is more important than ever for them to get the prisms.

1/28 Shane finds Bo at the Fish Market and Bo updates him on his progress with Megan. Shane fills Bo in on his “operative” getting the code word “Diamond Ice” for the prism. Shane encourages Bo to make Megan believe he is falling in love with her so that she drops her guard. Later, Bo shows Shane the box he took which looks like it may hold a Diamond Ice.

1/29 Kim and Shane discuss the prism and Shane reports that Bo isn’t making much progress with Megan. Kim realizes that she is their best bet to get the info from Bronsky. Shane orders a bottle a vodka for Kim and Bronsky hoping she can get him drunk enough to spill about the prism without having to go further. He leaves right before Bronsky arrives. When Bronsky comes in they start drinking the vodka and Kim asks about Diamond Ice. Bronsky apologizes to Kim but he has to leave early and promises to make it up to her. She delays him with some shots of Vodka and tells him that the term “Diamond Ice” fascinates her. He tells her it is the theme of the whole show, diamonds will be on everything and is the show itself.

Shane returns after he has left and Kim tells him there wasn't progress on Diamond Ice but reports it is the theme of the entire show. Bronsky gets the call he is waiting for and it is Larry Welch! Shane is shocked to hear he was in contact with Larry, though Kim couldn’t hear any other details.

1/30 At Shenanigans, Don is waiting for Bo when he runs into Kim. Don asks Kim about her relationship with Bronsky and flirts with her. Bo walks in on them talking about Bronsky and pulls Kim aside ordering her to stay away from him.

1/31 Bo calls Shane and asks for a phone bug. Shane arrives at Megan’s with the bug and updates Bo that his informant confirmed Bronsky and Welch are in contact. Bo informs Shane because he and Larry got into it the other day, he's not the best person to get close to Larry. Bo complains that he is tired of having to be nice to people that he hates and can’t wait for this to be over. Shane and Bo search her place. Bo finds electrical tape and plans, along with a note with Hope’s name scribbled all over it. Shane tells Bo that Megan is obsessed with Hope, but doesn't think the book and wires should cause worry (not included Megan is planning on blowing Hope up in the hot tub at the health club but winds up killing herself in a couple of episodes).

2/1 Bronsky and Larry go to the hot tub to talk privately. Larry tells him this is about the safest place to talk. Bronsky tells him that his father was a good friend of Bronsky’s. He is there to warn Larry. His father hated America for separating him from his son after being accused of being a Soviet Spy. Bronsky tells him that his father is a brilliant scientist that has created three prisms and when they are united, creates incredible power. He fills Larry in that Stefano has two prisms and is about to acquire the third prism. Bronsky is bringing the third prism into the country and he will deliver it to Stefano. His father, Victor, has altered the prism so that it is a bomb that when it is thawed it will to set off an explosion big enough to blow up all of Salem and obliterate all of the people in the state.

Bronsky warns Larry to get his loved ones and leave before that happens. Larry wants to stop this plan, but Bronsky tells him if he tries that Larry, his father, and Bronsky will be killed by the very powerful people behind this anti-American plot. Bronsky urges him to get out of town before the Ice Show begins. He warns him again that the plan is in motion and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it! Megan is hiding and listening to this revelation in horror!

2/5 Shane and Bo sit together at Shenanigan’s and Megan’s death. She died from a blow to the head then electrocuted. Shane wonders who the prism will be passed to now for Stefano. Shane says he must contact his other operative to figure out the next step. Shane hears of Megan's memorial service, and they decide Stefano will either show himself or have men there, so Bo will give a big performance of grieving over Megan to get in close with him. Bo and Shane arrive and Bo puts on his show of grief, when Hope arrives. She heads to Shane telling him that as the lead suspect, she felt she should come to sniff the real killer out. Shane tells her Bo is faking the grief to hopefully catch Stefano's attention, but she doesn't buy that.

Bo goes over to the woman in the wheelchair, who is revealed as Stefano, ordering him to find Megan's killer. Stefano threatens Bo that if he reveals he is there will be a bloodbath before he leaves. Bo sees Stefano’s body guards with guns trained on Hope and Shane. Bo tries to bluff that he doesn’t give a damn about Hope. Bo continues to profess his love for Megan, that he has loved her since they were children but he took her away from him. Stefano demands if Bo really loved Megan that he will bring him her killer.
