I continued to include all of Shane's and all of Kim's scenes, and a few additional scenes as needed. For the prism storyline, I tried to keep the focus on Shane & Kim as they were supporting players in Bo & Hope’s bigger storyline. I did add a few additional scenes showing the showdown with Stefano, but did not include all of the B&H scenes as they had the biggest role in the action at the theatre/ice rink. I do have separate Bo & Hope edits that would include all of their action. So hopefully enough to follow the storyline, but not become a B&H edit.

*Note, had a difficult time deciding what to include for Marlena’s trial. Shane & Kim are front and center in the audience with Shawn and they discuss the trial action in between cross examinations. Alice’s testimony is several minutes but felt I had to include it as they show reaction shots, and afterwards Shane questions Don about his defense and they comment on how well Alice did under pressure. The edit ended at a good point, and to cut that section out would have created a choppy edit.

Shane & Kim #2 February 5 - April 26, 1985: 8 hour original edit

DVD #2A Bo is frustrated that he has to allow Stefano to leave as he is so close to him. He leaves Bo and goes to the casket to say his final goodbye. Bo tells Shane and Hope about Stefano being there and his frustration at letting him slip right by. Bo vows that one day he will get Stefano.

2/6 In her apartment, Kim keeps Bronsky drinking vodka as he gets increasingly ready to go to the bedroom. Once Kim gets him to her room and puts on a negligee for him, she asks about the mystery of the Ice Show, saying how much mysteries turn her on. Bronsky, near passed out, tells her he can't tell her about two star skaters and their Siberian coach coming in the day before the show. After another toast, he passes out. Kim starts undressing Bronsky as he wakes up, and says they made love for an hour. Saying he was the best, but she is so tired now he must leave. Kim goes to Shane's, but no one comes to the door, so she leaves a note under his door.

2/7 Shane arrives at Kim's, and she informs him of the skaters and coach that she believes will bring the prism into Salem. They agree that now they must find out who will take Megan's place, and Kim is their only hope to get the info. She tells Shane how easy it was getting Bronsky to talk and hinted she didn't have to sleep with him. Kim and Shane talk about his job over tea, and how hard it will be for him to leave after the mission is over. Bo visits Shane, who informs him what his operative got out of Bronsky. Bo wishes he never messed with Megan and instead left it up to the operative, calling her a "slick little chick". While Shane gets tea, Bo discovers the note Kim left.

Recognizing her handwriting, Bo confronts Shane about pimping out his sister. He grabs Shane yelling at him, but let's him go to confront Kim. Bo bursts through Kim's door holding the note to her face and expressing his anger at Shane for using her, and Kim for allowing to be used. She tells Bo, that it's none of his business, but she hasn't slept with Bronsky. She does say that if she needed to she would, and then tells him about being a prostitute in Europe. She says at least with this, she us helping avenge her brother's death. Bo struggles to look at Kim, while she calls him a hypocrite. She accuses that he is upset because his sister was a hooker. Upset, Kim runs into her room, locking Bo out. He throws things off a bar and leaves.

2/8 At Shenanigan's, Shane tries to talk to Bo about Megan's murder, when Larry butts in talking about how Hope's the prime suspect. When Bo lunges at him, Chris kicks him out for good. Shane tells Bo, they need to know all of the skaters and have full access backstage at the show. Bo follows Shane to his place, telling him to lay off Kim. Shane makes it clear he wishes there was another way, but there isn't. They both hate it, but Shane says Kim is strong, Bo doesn't want to talk about her. Stefano meets with Bronsky at the theatre. Hope is backstage and is shocked to see Stefano alive and listens in. An excited Hope reports to Shane that she saw Stefano. She didn’t hear much other than the prism will be exchanged at the closing. She heard that Bronsky ordered two more guards for the show, she and offers to be one of them. Bo opposes the idea, but Shane agrees and gives her approval to apply for the job as that would give them the access they need.

2/11 Bo and Shane see about a raffle at the ice show and find out one of the items is from Siberia. Hope comes in and they discuss her getting the security job, and helping them figure out what items are in the raffle. Bo wants her to just get him and Shane in and back off, but Shane and Hope disagree. After Hope leaves, Kim and Bronsky walk in, and Bo keeps a close eye on them. Kim continues working on Bronsky, who sees about getting her in early, as Bo moves closer distracting Kim. When Bronsky gets up, Kim asks Bo to move but he refuses saying he's there to help her.

At the bar, Kim pushes Bronsky more about the show and these prizes, she even tries to get the winning raffle from him but he is done talking about the show. He gets up to leave, when Bo spills his drink all over Bronsky's jacket. Bo steals the itinerary. Hope is left alone and steals the list of prizes in the “Bronsky" file. Hope meets Kim, Shane, and Bo telling them she got the job and list of prizes. They realize that diamond ice is the prism in an ice sculpture.

2/13 Bo, Kim, and Hope gather in Shane's apartment to discuss what they do at the airport. Shane won't go fearing he'll be recognized as ISA, and he wants Hope to stay out, so skaters won't recognize her tomorrow. Kim will take pictures of everyone to see if Shane recognizes anyone, and Bo will go after the prism or blueprints. After Kim and Bo leave, Hope and Shane talk about England and his late wife. Hope says she wishes she could get Bo to open up like Shane has, but refuses to believe that can change. She leaves to go to the rink. Kim distracts Bronsky, while Bo gets into a uniform. While Kim gets pictures with Sonya, the Siberian coach, Bo switches her suitcase. Bronsky and Sonya notice the suitcase doesn't have the ice sculpture in it, and they rush to Bo, who switches the bags again.

Bronsky, Kim, and Sonya arrive at the rink. Kim tries getting a look at the Diamond Ice, but Sonya refuses and makes Kim leave. She then tells Bronsky to "never trust a woman with an innocent face." Bo informs Shane he almost got the prism by switching the suitcases, but the coach is very sharp and noticed something was off. Then after Bo makes a comment about the ISA leaving a special op up to two women, they argue. When the room is clear, Kim comes back and breaks the lock. They see the sculpture, and try to take it but hear Bronsky and Sonya coming. Kim takes her pictures, puts it back and leaves. While Sonya and Bronsky are alone they look at the diamond ice and she hands him what will be the winning raffle ticket. Bronsky delivers the ticket to Jimmy and Stefano. Kim and Hope return to Shane's and gloat about their work. Hope also tells them the place is on a time lock and no one can go to the rink until morning.

2/14 Shane, Bo, and Hope go over how she'll let him in the rink to get the prism out of the ice and take it. Shane gets Bo an repairman uniform for his cover, and he leaves. Bo walks back to the Diamond Ice, and starts chipping away. Hope comes in anxious, then, Bo gets the prism out. He shows it to her saying "Happy Valentine's Day." They almost kiss, when he realizes he must leave. A man comes in, and takes Hope to escort the skaters. Bo notices the prism is changing colors. He leaves when Sonya comes in and notices the freezer is unlocked. Bo knocks out everyone and tries to run away, but slips on the ice and the prism falls out and across the stage. Jimmy, Sonya, and a Russian man continue chasing Bo and they all pass the prism. Hope arrives at Shane's, but gets worried when she realizes no one has seen Bo since she left him. Bo exits the rink and is greeted by Stefano with a gun.

2/15 Stefano brings Bo to Jimmy and Sonya. Stefano orders Bo to call Shane and tell him he will be following a lead for the next few days. While on the phone, Bo starts pressing the keys with a pencil trying to communicate with Shane through Morse code, but Shane only gets "Stefano farm”. Jimmy takes Bo to the woods to get rid of him. Bo tries making a deal, and when Jimmy decides to tie him to a tree Bo kicks Jimmy and runs. Bo runs through the woods, while Shane hides out and sees Jimmy cutting the phone cord. While Jimmy and Stefano are outside Shane comes in and hides in Stefano's room, behind a one-sided mirror and is able to listen in to their conversation. When Stefano and Jimmy come in, they discuss how tomorrow should be easy, and Stefano ensures Bo has been taken care of. Shane worries they have killed Bo. Bo frees the prism, but Sonya and other Russians come in looking for the prism, so Bo and Hope try to hide.

2/18 Shane listens in as Jimmy and Stefano talk about Bo and then sneaks out. Shane arrives home and gets a voicemail from Bo. He wonders what time it was sent, because he still doesn't know if Bo is alive. At the rink, Bo and Hope hide from Sonya and her men, Hope notices the prism changed to dark blue. Larry meets Bronsky telling him Gwen refuses to leave, and asking if there's anyway to stop the explosion. Bronsky reiterates once the prism starts to thaw it will change from crystal to blue, dark blue, green, yellow, and red. It explodes on red. Bronsky ends their meeting when Kim arrives. He tells Kim that he's chosen her to spend his life with. Kim tries to get him off the marriage talk, but he only doubles down and tells Kim they must leave Salem.

Kim meets Shane as he gets home, he asks her if she knows about Bo. When she realizes they don't know when he last called, and Jimmy threatened Bo, she tries going after him. Shane convinces her it won't help, and insists on knowing about her date with Bronsky. She tells him Bronsky proposed. Shane is shocked to hear about that proposal. Kim remarks that it's too much for "The Great Captain Shane Donovan" to comprehend that Bronsky would want to marry her given her past. Shane corrects that he understands completely as she is an extraordinary woman. She laughs and jokes about the hooker, the spy, and the Russian. When Shane asks her about going home she says she doesn't want to, in case there is any news about Bo. Kim decides to sleep on his couch.

2/19 In the morning, Shane wakes Kim, and calls the Horton house for Hope, when Alice answers. They both know nothing and get increasingly worried. Kim and Shane arrive at the theater with Bo right behind them. Bo tells them Hope is getting the prism and will be there, but Hope arrives without the prism. When Hope tells them she was fired, Kim sneaks out.

When Alice looks through the window and notices Marlena getting into a car, and Shane recognizes Jimmy from the farmhouse. Bronsky goes through the checklist with Sonya and Kim comes to see him. Alice, Shane, and Bo had to let the man leave with Marlena, but search her house. She left a note about Stefano's farmhouse and Alice realizes the twins are gone. Shane says he overheard them talking about the children and Caracas, Bo declares he will kill Stefano first. Bo is ordered to go after Marlena and the rest will go after the prism. The rest of the gang gather at the Horton house, where Shane says he and Hope will go back with Hope as a Russian skater. Kim informs them Sonya hasn't found the prism and that the headdress was getting cleaned and will be back.

2/20 Before leaving for the show, Shane asks Kim if she's comfortable following through? She responds that she will stick with this mission til the end. He calls her truly terrific and they share a moment. Hope and Shane arrive at the rink. Shane has tied up one of the dancers so Hope can take her place. Hope gets into the dressing room, and finds the prism, but the other dancers come in. The prism turns green. Bronsky and Kim arrive at the show, and Bronsky takes press questions. Anna arrives and steals the show by wearing the Romanov diamond, angering Bronsky. Kim calms him down, but then he starts demanding her answer to his marriage proposal, and whether she will leave with him that night! He continues to get worked up and starts pacing around.

2/21 In the dressing room, the dancers usher Hope away from the headpieces and they all get dressed in their clown costumes for the show. Bronsky finds Sonya and confronts her about the delay, when the dancers come in saying they are missing the new girl. Meanwhile Bo has rescued Marlena at Stefano’s farmhouse. Hope tries to update Shane, when she is pulled away by Sonya to join the other skaters. Hope tries to plead that she is too sick to perform but Sonya won’t hear of her not skating. Bronsky sits with Kim, and is upset at how the number is being ruined, so he rushes backstage to tell at Sonya. Then Bo comes over to Kim, and tells her he recognizes Hope as the clutz on the ice.

Backstage, Shane notices the prism, but is across the stage from it. Bronsky confronts Sonya about the number, but she laughs it off as it was better than the original and she figures the skater is just trying to get attention. When he turns around, he notices the prism and how it has turned green. While Bo and Kim try to get backstage, Bronsky comes and tells Kim they must leave now! Hope gets off the ice and grabs the prism, which has turned yellow. Hope puts on the costume, and tries getting out of the next number, but Sonya pushes her back on the ice. Bo and Shane decide they have to sit and wait.

2/22 Bo and Shane notice Bronsky taking Kim away, so Shane goes after them and Bo stays for Hope. Shane confronts Bronsky outside by his limo, but when Bronsky puts a gun to Kim's head, Shane tosses the keys back in the car. Despite Shane begging him to leave Kim, Bronsky throws her in the car and they rush off to the airport. Kim asks Bronsky about the prism and he tells her they must get to the airport before it detonates. Shane arrives at the airport and gets Kim away from Bronsky. She tells him the prism is set to explode. Abe arrives and is told the prism is rigged to blow, so he takes Bronsky into custody and orders the arena to be evacuated and a bomb squad on it's way. They all head off.

Stefano has hidden up on the rafters, where Marlena emerges holding him at gunpoint. She tells him he will never hurt anyone again, and shoots him in the shoulder. He gets up and grabs Marlena and they both tumble, hanging on to the rafter. The prism falls and turns red, and stars a fire. Bo comes up, jumping over the fire and saves Marlena, as Stefano falls into the flames below.

2/25 Kim and Shane inform everyone that the prism set the fire, but they got it on ice before it detonated. They go off and transfer the prism from the ice to it's original case to ship off to the ISA. Shane arrives at the station bearing the case with the prism. Everyone is upset at Marlena being arrested and held in jail until her arraignment. Bo, Hope, Shane, and Kim arrive at Shenanigan’s. Shane tells Kim he will never forget what she did. She replies it is a new beginning for everyone.

2/28 Shane meets Nickerson to give him the prism, but it's gone. Shane informs him he dropped it in the Atlantic, because it was too much harm. They argue, with Nickerson calling Shane a traitor, then Shane quits. Kim arrives at the hospital and Bo tells her the good news about Hope recovering from being shot. They go over how close Hope and Kim got, but Bo can't hear it since it reminds him of Kim prostituting herself. She then asks about Shane, saying how worried she is. Shortly after Shane comes in, and is asked where he has been. He tells them about getting rid of the prism, because it was too much power that can corrupt. He tells Kim he quit the ISA and now they are both free.

3/1 When Kim comes over, Bo tells her Hope is okay. She decides they should air out their grievances on her former job. She tells Bo she hooked as a way to regain the control she lost over men after her Uncle Eric. Telling him, she was sick then but is better know. She reminds him she doesn't need his approval, but she does need his love. He hugs her and says of course he loves her. Kim arrives at the Park Café, when she recognizes the special prosecutor, Hart. When he realizes that Marlena is her sister-in-law, he pulls out a flask and starts drinking, then they argue about the case. Kim leaves, and returns to the hospital. She tells Shane about her encounter, and how she used to respect Hart before he became an opportunist.

3/8 A drunken Hart shows up at Kim's door. He wonders if she even wants to talk after he got her started hooking. Hart is the man who was with Kim in the tape Linda blackmailed her with months ago. She tells him he shouldn't feel guilty, because she is out and it's in the past. Hart is hoping they can still be friends but she warns him that isn’t going to be possibly if he is determined to prosecute Marlena. Shane comes by to pick Kim up for lunch while Hart is still there. She goes into the hallway and is sorry she can’t make it, which disappoints him. She promises to explain later and assures him that nothing is wrong. Kim sees Shane at the gym, and apologizes for earlier. She offers him a game of racquet ball, but he declines. They make plans for dinner later.

Later, Shane arrives at Kim’s with wine, and tells her he invited Don and Marlena. She explains that earlier, she was with a former client and she was his mistress. Kim assures Shane that even though they were very close, it's all in the past, and they cheers to the future. Kim and Shane arrive at Blondie’s. Hart comes over to say hi to Kim, when Shane puts it together, that he was the man from earlier at her place.

3/11 Back at her place, Kim apologizes to Shane. He realizes she didn’t know Hart would be at Blondie’s. She gives him an out as knowing about her past is one thing but being confronted by it is something completely different. She would understand if he doesn’t want to pursue a relationship with her. He tells her she talks too much and grabs her in his arms for a passionate kiss! Kimberly asks for reassurance that her past doesn’t bother Shane. He says not enough to where he can’t handle it but she is not so sure. He says it is not her past that bothers him, it is his own. She wonders if it is his work for the ISA but he says it is about how his wife died. The ISA would not let him talk about it because he and the ISA were responsible. He begins to tell the story of explosives attached to cars and bad timing and his wife returning from a trip a day earlier than expected. No one knew she got blown up in the explosion so they decided not to talk about it. He couldn’t even mourn her. He feels like something like that could happen again if he ever got close to anyone. He begins to tell what she was like and said she was very much like Hope.

Kimberly begins to talk about her relationship with Hart Bennett, explaining they became very good friends. She says he could use a friend. She doesn’t understand why he is using Marlena’s case to get back on top. She recalls how she got back into prostitution to help him out and something about destroying tapes. Kimberly is not sure if Bennett even knew the tapes existed. Shane wonders if he did know of them would it be enough for him to back off prosecuting Marlena. Is Kimberly up for a little emotional blackmail?

They decide to go to Bennett’s hotel room. They didn’t get an answer when they knocked on his room door so they decide to sit down in the restaurant and have a drink in the hope that Bennett returns. Linda has set up for Hart to have compromising photos taken. Linda instructs the young woman to go to room 212, sneak into the room and position herself, while Bennett is sleeping, so that it looks like they have been intimate. The man is to take as many pictures as possible. Kimberly recognizes the woman whom Linda had just spoken with as a prostitute who used to work under Linda. Shane notices that the man has a lot of photographic equipment. This raises their suspicions and they decide to follow them. They observe the woman entering Bennett’s room. They decide there is nothing they can do, but when they are about to leave they see Linda come with the photographer and hear her tell him to make sure she has time to undress before he goes in. As Linda leaves, the man enters Bennett’s room.

In the room, the lights are out and the woman has undressed. She is crawling into Bennett’s bed when he wakes up and begins to protest. Kimberly and Shane come running into the room and the unknown man and woman rush out. Finally the lights are turned on and Bennett sees Kimberly and Shane standing over his bed. Kimberly tells him that the other two were running a scam on him but not to worry because Shane has the camera. Bennett wants to know why he is being messed with and Kimberly explains that Linda needs new dirt on him since the tapes were destroyed. He didn’t know about the tapes so Kimberly explains. They were to blackmail her but they would have ruined him. Kimberly cared about him too much for that to happen. She explains that Shane helped her get the tapes. He wants to know if she and Shane are together and she says she doesn’t know but maybe. He mulls over what just happened and wishes he could do something for Kimberly for saving his reputation once again. She says she thinks there is and he realizes what it is. He says he cant drop the case even if he wanted to. Another prosecutor would just be appointed. He is going to see it through to the end. Marlena Brady is going to go to jail.

Kimberly returns to the restaurant and Shane’s table. She explains that while Bennett is grateful, not grateful enough to stop prosecuting Marlena. She says Bennett wants to thank Shane. They decide to leave the restaurant and not worry about it for now. Linda, speaking to herself, says Kimberly will pay for this someday.

3/13 Marlena arrives at Kimberly’s place and wants to talk about Hart Bennett. Kimberly had just gotten off the phone with him talking about Marlena. Kimberly tries to convince Marlena that Hart is not the evil person she may think he is; that if she knew him like Kimberly does she would understand. Marlena recalls that one thing Roman taught her is to know the enemy. Marlena does know that Hart was a very powerful man in Washington at one time and was noted for getting his man or woman as the case may be. Marlena questions Kimberly about what she knew of him when they were in Europe together. Kimberly tries to explain her relationship with Hart without saying that she was a prostitute and he was her customer, etc. Kimberly explains Harts situation with his wife who was and still is in a mental hospital. Marlena realizes that Kimberly cared for Hart. Kimberly has tried to get Hart to drop the case but wont. Marlena says destroying another person to gain success is not a good way to go.

Suddenly Kimberly remembers that Hart is going to be there any minute so Marlena decides that she must go. She thanks Kimberly for all the help but notices that Kimberly doesn’t look quite right. As Kimberly walks toward the door she falls over complaining of a headache. She explains that they come and go real quick and stands up to prove that she is okay. Then when she tries to move she passes out. Right at that moment Hart arrives. He carries her to the couch and gets her a glass of water. Marlena asks if it has happened before and Kimberly explains it away saying it is just low blood sugar. Then she promptly passes out again. Marlena goes to get her bag out of the car explaining to Hart that she can’t say for sure what is going on until further examination. After all, she would not want to jump to any conclusions, now would she? Hart is surprised that Marlena did not just throw him out. Finally Kimberly seems to have come out of it after Marlena takes her blood pressure and makes her promise to see her regular physician. Hart decides to leave and talk with her another time. Marlena gets ready to leave too after telling Kimberly to get some rest. Marlena notes that while Hart is tender and caring around Kimberly, around her he seems possessed. Kimberly notes that everything is going well with her and she has no intentions of letting anything go wrong

3/14 While Kim is trying to take pictures, her vision starts to blur and she gets a horrible headache. She calls the hospital, and leaves a message for Neil. Neil returns her call and she thinks she may need a physical, so he tells her to come on in. They finish the physical, and they still have to look at tests, but Neil refers her to an eye specialist. Kim asks him if emotional stress could be caused this, and he confirms it could. Bo and Shane meet up at Shenanigan’s, where Shane explains about a mission he once had in Stockholm, and how a friend from that mission is trying to get him to work there full time. Bo thinks it's a great idea to move to Stockholm, and sees no reason for Shane to stay in Salem.

Kim gets back to taking pictures, when Shane knocks on her door. He tells her about the job offer in Stockholm. When he tells her that since he is not attached to anyone, he might as well take it. Kim gets upset, and says this is just him running away, like always. She continues if he hasn't made any connections in Salem, it is his fault. Kim swings open the door, tears in her eyes, telling him he can stay or go, that she doesn't care. She suggests he can just send her a postcard once in a while. Shane and Kim both tearfully look through their windows at each others apartment.

3/15 A drunken Hart, once again, shows up at Kim's. Kim asks him if staying drunk makes him feel better about prosecuting a hero, he replies, "a little". Shane goes over to the Horton's to say his goodbyes to Bo and Hope. Hope is extremely disappointed and tries to talk him out of it. As Bo and Hope are arguing about Shane's leaving and how Kim will be affected, Kim walks in. She asks them why they were talking about her. Hope tells her, Shane is leaving today, and she is visibly disappointed. Kim admits she didn't know that, but brushes it off and leaves after giving them a Hawaii brochure for their honeymoon. Bo and Hope continue bickering, because Hope isn't buying Kim's "I'm okay" act.

Kim goes to Shenanigans, and sees Hart even drunker than before. She tries to get the drink away from him, saying she doesn't want him to lose his case because he is drunk. Then she tells him she has enough problems, with her friend leaving her today. Kim returns home ranting, when she notices Shane there waiting. He told her he left the hardest goodbye for last. She accuses him of running away. They argue, but Shane quickly stops it and apologizes. He tells her to take care, and leaves. Kim starts crying. Kim gets Hart into her place and lays him on the couch, when the doorbell rings. Shane came back, saying he couldn't leave without fixing things between them.

3/18 Shane arrives at Kim's wanting to talk, but is interrupted by Hart's yelling for Kim to come back to bed. Shane decides to just leave. After Kim closes the door, she snaps at Hart for driving Shane away. They argue about Shane, before she decides to meet Shane at the airport. Kim gets to the airport in time to see Shane, but he is cold to her. She tries to explain, she's trying to save Hart some dignity, and isn't sleeping with him. She then presses Shane on why he came over. He deflects until his flight is called and he leaves to board the plane.

Kim returns home to a now sober Hart. She admits he was right, and goes off on how Shane has no idea how to love or be loved. This makes Hart realize he was wrong, and want to fix things. He decides to leave. Kim calls asking Bo to come over. When he arrives, she explains what happened earlier with Shane and Hart. She tells him about her worry that Shane thought differently of her knowing she was an escort and Hart used to be a client. Bo holds Kim and tells her that is all in the past, and he believes Shane knows that. Bo tells her Shane has got to be an idiot to pass on her.

3/22 Kim helps out Shawn at the market, while Caroline is sick. When a customer asks for Earl Grey, she's reminded of Shane and gets sad. Marlena comes in, and notices Kim is upset, so she insists they go to lunch later today. She tries to get out of it, but Shawn says she should go. When Marlena visits Caroline, Kim confronts Shawn about pushing Marlena on her. He says Shane being gone is clearly affecting her, but Kim insists she's fine with it and doesn't want to talk about Shane. Kim is about to leave the market, when she goes to serve one last customer and when she turns around, she see it is Shane! She is immediately hopeful until he tells her that he came by to see Bo and her face falls in disappointment. He explains that Hart Bennet served him with a subpoena and his return is only temporary. He says an awkward goodbye to Kim, and leaves. Shane briefly comes back in, but turns back around. Kim throws down her towel, angry at Hart's clear meddling. Kim and Marlena have dinner, and she gets Kim to open up about missing Shane. Then they see Hart and Shane arrive. Kim tells her Hart brought Shane back to Salem just for her. Marlena decides to leave to avoid Hart, and Kim goes up to tell Shane Hart did this for her, and she doesn't appreciate it.

3/27 Shane and Kim have an awkward run-in while she's waiting for Marlena at Shenanigans. Marlena arrives and Shane leaves. Marlena then asks Kim about Shane, and she says she thought things could work between them, but they are too alike. Also Shane never made an effort, even coming back from Stockholm was just for a subpoena. Marlena still begs Kim not to give up on him. Shane wants to talk to Kim, but she accuses him of taking her on an emotional roller coaster and she feels like she just keeps hitting her head on a brick wall with him. He tells her, if she does that enough, eventually the brick wall gives in, and his wall may be starting to give in. Shane admits to problems with expressing his feelings, but that he'll work on it because she's worth it. Marlena comes over and steals Kim back.

Marlena tells Kim about Hart and Madame X, and begs her for any information he may have on who he was seeing. Kim is shocked at Marlena and Eugene's knowledge of this, and confirms it's true. Marlena continue to press her on who this special woman was, until Kim finally gives in and admits it's her. Marlena is speechless, and Kim tells her there aren't videotapes, but she supports Marlena doing whatever necessary to win. Eugene and Shane return, and Kim can't wait to rush out the door. When Shane tries to stop her, she talks about never being able to let go of her past, and whatever their relationship was before, it isn't worth fighting for now.

3/29 The night before the trial, all of Marlena's friends gather at Blondie's to celebrate her. Though no one seems to know who put this all together. Marlena arrives with Don, and is pleasantly surprised to see everyone. They all reminisce about the past, when Kim spots Hart. Kim pulls Hart aside to tell him that Marlena could have used his past with prostitutes against him, but she didn’t. Kim wants him to remember that tomorrow at the trial. Shane and Kim argue, with Shane saying Kim's hellbent on making everyone hate her. Shane tries to reconcile with Kim, he gets her up and makes her dance with him.

4/1 Marlena's trial begins, and Kim, Shane, Alice, and Shawn all show up to support her. Hart and Don make their cases to the jury. Shawn notices Hart looking at Kim, and realizes they know each other, but Kim brushes it off. Shane comes up, and tries to start a conversation with Kim, who is spaced out. Shawn interjects, and asks what Kim and Shane's problem is. Kim rebukes her father for butting in, and insists there is no problem. Shawn apologizes to Shane for being nosy, to which he accepts. Shawn says things with Kim have been volatile lately, and it will be harder to get her forgiveness. After everyone else leaves, Kim returns and Shane fills her in on what happened. Kim says she came back to apologize to him for being odd, and for her father. He didn't mind either of those things. They smile and say goodbye.

4/3 Shane catches up with Kim wanting to know what she was going to tell him yesterday. She claims he's only asking now, so he can get her to open up, without having to share his feelings in return. She keeps pushing Shane about how neither of them can open up, and Shane finally starts talking, but court is in session before he can say much. Shane is called as witness, where Hart badgers him about Marlena's attitude towards Stefano the day of Roman's funeral. After much intense questioning, Hart gets Shane to admit he told Marlena not to go after Stefano, and hints that it was because she was plotting Stefano's murder. Don cross examines Shane, where Shane explains he only talked Marlena down out of habit from being an ISA agent. Shane gets down, and when he sits next to Kim she has a dizzy spell, and nearly faints. He takes her out of the courtroom, where she looks like she's gone blind, but she says this happens occasionally and goes away quickly. Kim and Shane have lunch at the Park Café, she tells him her and Neil decided to wait it out, since they've already done tests. She then asks when he's going back to Stockholm. He has decided to stay in Salem, and asks her on a date.

4/8 The judge dismisses the charges against Marlena at Hart’s request.

4/9 Shane arrives at Kim's with a big box with clothes for her for their date. She goes into her bedroom to change and is less than thrilled to come out wearing horse riding clothes. Kim protests going horseback riding, saying she got physically ill when she rode a pony with her father. Shane isn't buying her story. Kim still tries to back out. Shane guilt trips her, by saying that riding was a big part of his childhood.

At the stables, Shane teaches a nervous Kim how to get on a horse, but she has another dizzy spell. Shane takes care of her, and she hops back up, saying that horse won't make a coward out of her. Kim is almost too sore to walk after their riding lesson, and Shane has just the thing to make her feel better. Kim draws a bubble bath, and Shane comes in with English bath salts to help with aches. He closes his eyes for Kim, and pours them in, causing them both to laugh. Kim gets out of the bath, still sore and Shane says he's so proud of her facing her fears today. He even jokes that tomorrow, he'll give her the medal of valor. Before Shane leaves he covers Kim with a blanket on the couch.

4/12 Shane walks on the pier and thinks about the night he told Kim about his wife's death. He decides he has to find Kim. Kim is taking pictures at the fashion show when the prince is murdered. Shane arrives to see the commotion. Abe looks at the body, and notices a dragon that could've been imprinted on the Prince's neck when he was killed. Hope tells Abe she saw the killer, and could never forget his face. Kim thinks she can help, and decides to let Hope look through her photos and see if she recognizes anyone. Kim finishes developing some photos, and finds one with the man in it, but it's blurry. Hope is confident she can identify him, and calls Abe and a sketch artist over. Abe tells them they found a dragon's head mark on Nicholas's neck. Shane clearly knows something about that symbol. Back at Kim's, Shane tells her that he knows the killer. He's an international terrorist named The Dragon, and he's the man who killed his wife.

4/15 Kim is spooked after finding out someone used her name to pick up the photos she took at the fashion show. Abe and Hope arrive at Kim's and she informs them that the killer knows who she is and took her photos from the shop. She also mentioned how the news leaked that a witness to the murder was giving a sketch to the police. Then Shane tells them about The Dragon. Later, Shane and Abe leave to get protection for Kim and Hope.

Meanwhile, Kim and Hope take solace that they have Bo and Shane. Shane returns to Nickerson's office to inform him that there's evidence The Dragon killed the Prince. Shane insists that he was The Dragon's target, and Nicholas got in the way, just like with his wife. Nickerson tells Shane, he wasn't the target this time, or the last time. Nickerson reveals that Emma, Shane's wife, was one in a string of killings by The Dragon. All of those victims, including Nicholas, were part of British Royalty. Shane visits Kim, and tells her the news that Nickerson threw on him. Kim thinks for sure the ISA can warn potential victims, but Shane says they can only find The Dragon, which Shane vows to do, along with kill him.

4/17 Shane focuses on finding the next victim, and Kim agrees to go to the library and get anything on the Royals. Shane takes Bo to his place, to explain everything he knows about The Dragon. Shane goes over to Kim’s, and they start looking through the books she just got. Shane makes the connection that Sonja is related to royalty and rushes to get to her before she is the next victim. The Dragon comes in behind Sonja and kils her as he is able to inject the poison in her neck. Kim is thinking back to her date with Shane, when Hope comes in looking for Bo. Hope starts to think she's crazy for thinking her and Bo both being in dangerous professions could work. When Kim gets out Earl Grey, it finally hits her how much danger her and Hope are in. Bo and Shane arrive at Don's, but are too late. Sonia is already dead.

4/18 Kim reads about Sonia in the morning newspaper. Shane arrives and shares that he and Bo found the body minutes after the murder. Shane also tells Kim that she is likely not in any danger, since The Dragon has the head shots and she never saw his face. Then he heads to the airport to meet someone with ISA files, and Kim insists on going with him.

At the airport, Shane sees and chases a familiar woman (Emma). He is stopped by a guard at the security checkpoint. Shane tries to get begging the guard that he has to get to that woman! Kim assures Shane it can't be Emma and he must be tired. Then a man with the ISA files finds Shane, and hands them over. Shane still thinks that woman could be his wife. Shane and Kim return to her place where they go over all of the Dragon's murders. Shane points out he's picking up his pace, with five murders total and two just in the past week. Shane gets a headache all of a sudden, and Kim gives him a temple massage. They share a tender moment, and a passionate kiss.

4/19 Bo arrives at Kim's with news that the Dragon had struck again, this time in France. Hope comes in, and Bo lies to her about their conversation, wanting to shield her from the Dragon business. Shane and Kim disagree with Bo's decision. Bo and Shane talk about how they both intend to go after The Dragon. Shane wonders how Bo can follow him to London without Hope knowing. Shane gets a call notifying him that he will have to leave soon and Bo will need to be with him. Shane and Kim talk about his excitement to be going back to his homestead. Shane invites Kim to go to England with him. He wants to show her the manor where he grew up. Kim leans toward no, but Shane warns her they must stop being so guarded. He tells her he is leaving very soon, and she must make up her mind.

4/22 Shane arrives at Kim's demanding an answer about Europe. Kim's still undecided. She tries to use her prostitute past, and Shane's painful past in Europe as reasons to be weary, but Shane doesn't buy it. Finally, Kim reveals she doesn't feel secure enough in their relationship, and she's worried about their future and wants a guarantee. The only guarantee Shane can offer is this trip to Europe. He says he'll buy two plane tickets, and he's leaving at 6, if she's not there, he'll have his answer. Marlena visits Kim to convince her to get Hart into therapy. Kim agrees, but isn't sure she'll be any help. She opens up to Marlena about her commitment issues coming out after Shane asks her on a trip to Europe. Marlena tells her she can't get those big rewards without taking big risk. Kim is convinced to go on the trip, and enthusiastically packs for her flight.

Kim gets a call from the hospital that Hart has overdosed, and hers is the only name and number on him. Her and Marlena grab her bags and head to the hospital. They arrive at the hospital, and Kim sits by Hart's side, wondering why he would try to kill himself. She promises not to leave him until he gets himself straightened up. Marlena returns with news that they got to Hart in time, and she can leave for Europe now. Kim is unsure about leaving him, but Marlena offers to stay with him so she can go, and she does. The last boarding call for the flight to London is called, and Kim still hasn't showed. Shane gives her tickets to an attendant, in case she comes. After Shane goes to board, Kim comes rushing in. Her vision starts to blur real bad. Kim asks an attendant to hold onto her, and help her get a cab. Shane looks for Kim again, but realizes she isn't coming. Kim gets home, her vision still blurred. She lays on her couch, and starts crying.

4/23 Bo visits Kim at the fish market. He gets her to tell him about Shane, and how she missed her flight to London with him. Bo closes up the shop and takes Kim out to talk about it. Bo and Kim start off talking about her, and end up deciding they both have commitment issues. Bo throws some wise words Kim's way, and realizes he should follow his own advice. They decide to step out of their comfort zones, Kim will leave for London, and Bo will stay in Salem and plan his wedding.

Speed and Chino arrive at the fish market, and trash the place. Kim comes in, and they hide. They put on ski masks, and Chino pulls a knife on Kim. Then they make a run for it. Bo and Hope come in shortly after, and find out what happened. Bo and Hope convince Kim to let them handle the place, while she rests up and packs for London. Kim takes their advice and goes home.

4/25 Kim books a ticket to London for today! Kim arrives at Shenanigan’s to tell her that she's going to surprise Shane in London. Hope feels bittersweet about this, since she's worried about Kim and the Dragon. She tells Kim she will never forget his face as he sits at the next table.

Shane has returned to his manor home in England. The family butler tells him that someone has been in the house, and knows their way around. Simmons explains how the intruder knows about their secret room, and the south gate that only a handful of people know about. Simmons gets Shane to open up about his time in America and he tells him about Kim. Shane speaks as if his relationship with Kim is over, since she didn't come to England. Kim has packed her bags and heads to the airport, hoping she's making the right decision by surprising Shane. Later that night, Shane is woken up when a woman knocks on his door. That woman is Kim.

4/26 Shane is not as eager to see her and tells her that he is tired of being jerked around. Kim turns to leave saying Bo was wrong about her coming. Shane stops her from leaving and tells her she is in the middle of the English countryside and can’t exactly go hail a cab. He talks her into coming inside. She agrees and asks him to call her a cab. He tells her she would have to wait for hours and he will drive her to London. Kim realizes she has no right to be here and she should not have come as this is something that is not meant to be. He snarks that he realized that when she didn’t show up at the airport. She declares that she did! He questions that as he was the last person on the plane as the doors closed. She says that she did show up and only missed the plane by a few minutes. Kim explains that she was ready to go that night, but just missed the plane because Hart was hospitalized due to an over dose. She tells him about going to the hospital and Marlena agreeing to stay with Hart so that Kim could make it to the airport. She tells him she watched the plane take off.

Shane admonishes her that she could have at least sent word and complains that she didn’t even try to contact him. She declares she knew exactly what he would say, that he would have still felt as he does right now that she jerked him around. She admits she is only there as Bo talked her into coming, that somethings are so important you fight for them. Shane gets quiet at what she just admitted and feels like a fool. He says then it is time to talk about it then. Kim is cold towards him now and says she just wants a good night sleep. She starts to complain and he tells her there isn’t much lodging in the area and assures her she will be much more comfortable here, and takes her bags upstairs. While Shane gets a room ready for her, Kim looks at some pictures. She especially gravitates toward a photo of Emma. Shane takes her up and shows her the room. She is taken in by the beauty of his home and the view. She observes that it must have been wonderful growing up here. They share a moment as they are drawn to each other and lean in close together. He pulls away and tells her he has drawn her a bath and lets her know he will be downstairs if there is anything else she needs.
