DVD #1A Emma has a job for Patch and he agrees to do it. She wants him to scare off a girl and get her to leave her job (she works for the doctor that illegally adopted out Kim & Shane’s baby Andrew). Patch hides in the woman’s closet as she arrives home. He watches her undress, and then later stands over her as she sleeps.

5/26 Patch calls Kayla to scare her with the creepy stalker phone call and mentions that she is wearing a towel and has wet hair and tells her how sexy she is. She is rattled and hangs up on him. He immediately calls her back and warns her to not hang up on him again. He warns her that she doesn’t want to hurt his feelings and he doesn’t know what he might do. She asks if she knows him? He promises that she will. He comments on the color of the towel she is wearing and asks about the movie that she watched last night. She is terrified as she looks at the window, knowing he is watching her. She puts the phone down and leaves it off the hook.

5/27 While Kayla leaves, Patch trashes her apartment. She returns home and is shaken by the invasion. Kimberly calls her at that moment and suggests she come home to help the family. She tells her that Bo is having a difficult time handling something and Kayla was always able to reach him. Kim urges her that she needs her too and its time for the whole Brady family to be together. Kayla is on the next flight, and Steve is as well.

5/28 Shawn is leaving the house to go to a hotel (he has learned that Caroline had an affair with Victor and is Bo’s father) just as Kayla surprises them with her return home. Kayla wants to know what is going on with Bo and learns the truth about his paternity. Kayla surprises both Bo and Hope and tries to support her brother in this difficult time. Kayla tells Bo that she just has to give it some time. Both Kayla and Bo learn that Shawn moved out. When Kayla returns home, she sees Alice and gives her a big hug. Alice asks how long she will be home and Kayla responds as long as her mama needs her.

5/29 Chris sees Kayla at Shenanigan’s and Savannah grows jealous as they embrace. Patch informs Emma of what is going on with the woman he was hired to harass. The Brady sisters reunite at the hospital.

5/30 Shawn thinks that Kayla should move back to Salem. She doesn’t want to because of the life she has back home. Tensions between Shawn and Caroline are still present and he confides in his daughter that he doesn’t know how to forgive her. Kayla confesses to her dad that she is afraid of seeing Roman with his new face for the first time. Shawn reassures her. Kayla arrives at Marlena’s, worried that Carrie has run away. Roman soon returns home with her and Kayla sees her big brother for the first time since his return. They sit down and catch up. He tells her that he doesn’t remember everything, or everyone he knew before. She tries to reassure him. She lets him know that she will be staying with their mom while pop has moved out.

6/5 Victor finds Patch on the pier and they exchange words as Patch taunts him if he is considering pushing him into the water. Patch runs into Bo next and points out to Bo that his mother wasn’t married to his father either so there is no difference between them, that Bo is no better than Steve is. Kayla contacts Victor Kiriakis herself and request a one-on-one meeting with him. Caroline walks in on Kayla having lunch with Victor.

6/13 Kayla & Caroline are pleasantly surprised to see Shawn at the fishmarket. He turns away a customer telling the guy that they are closed. He starts talking about selling the business and how much they will get for cashing out. A customer comes in and tells them that Rivermarket closed their fish section. Caroline happily asks her to return the next day, that they will be fully stocked. Kayla is thrilled but Shawn is suspicious and feels that Victor is behind it. He heads out to pay Victor a visit and get to the bottom of this. Caroline cries that something good happens and he is going to ruin it! She asks Kayla to go after him, but Patch enters and stops her in the doorway.

Caroline worries that Shawn is so hot headed and Victor is so dangerous. Doug stops in looking for Bo & Hope. Steve teases Hope down on the docks about Bo being “Little Kiriakis”. He is still holding a grudge over Britta’s departure. She is sorry Britta left and assures him that neither her or Bo don’t want to see him hurt.

Hope arrives at the fish market and tells Caroline and Kayla that they are living with Victor now. She is horrified at the news. Shawn returns and reels with the news, he cannot comprehend the idea that Bo would go after the money and lifestyle that Victor can offer. Victor wants Patch to keep an eye on Bo down at Allied Cargo.

6/17 Kayla and Chris catch up at Shenanigan’s; she is remembering the good old times with her family. Patch is listening to their entire conversation. Kayla is looking for a place to live and he shows her Bo and Hope’s first apartment, which is right under Shenanigan’s. He leaves her alone for a moment and she discovers some of Bo’s old trophies and misses their old relationship.

Patch startles her when he shows up in the apartment. Patch tells her that he and Bo share a past and were once close. She wants to know why he was in the fishmarket the other day? Before he can answer, Chris shows up and wants him to leave. Patch announces that he wants to rent out the old apartment and (surprisingly) Chris agrees to let him; he wants to be able to keep a close watch on Patch.

6/18: Kayla secretly gathers together all the Brady siblings to try and get Shawn and Caroline back together. Bo feels that he is the reason that they are separated and doesn’t want to take part in it. The Brady’s are all going to gather at Roman and Marlena’s house to discuss the situation. Caroline shows up as planned. Shawn shows up after everyone has doubts that he will. Caroline breaks down while saying her apology and flees the house; Shawn rushes out after her and they hug. He says that he cannot make any promises, but he is absolutely willing to try. They have too much together to let it all go. They come back in hugging each other as their children cheer. Roman offers Kayla a spare room so that Shawn and Caroline can have some time alone. Shawn agrees to move back home.

                          6/19 Kayla stops by Hope’s office and announces that now that Shawn and Caroline are working out she feels that she can go back home. The workers at Allied Cargo refuse to take orders from Bo. They are only following Patch’s orders, which means that orders have to go through him. Tom asks Kayla if she is interested in running a new medical center at the River Front as head nurse practitioner. Patch overhears Kayla telling Bo and Hope that she has been offered a job at the Riverfront Clinic. Hope offers to let Kayla use the loft as her home if she decides to stay in Salem.

6/23 Kayla tells Chris that she needs to go back to Cleveland for a few days to clear things up. Caroline is hoping that she will get back with Chris, but Kayla affirms her that it is not going to happen. Patch informs Victor that Kayla is on her way to Cleveland. Kimberly learns that no one knows where her baby is and starts flipping out. Coincidentally, Emma gets on the same plane as Kayla.

6/24 Emma gets in contact with a Dr. Dennison about dropping off the baby off tonight. Ironically, Dr. Dennison is Kayla’s boss and she needs to speak with him right away; he schedules her for the same time that Emma will be coming in. Patch reveals himself to Kayla and she learns that he has been following her and demands to know what he wants.

6/27: Kayla arrives back in Salem and runs into Patch, whom she has been looking for. Kayla threatens Patch to back-off from her and returns the picture of Britta that he dropped in her apartment in Cleveland. Tom continues to push Kayla to take the job down at the Riverfront Clinic; he informs her that she must make a decision within twenty-four hours if they want to get the location.

630: Kayla arrives at the warehouse looking for Bo, Steve asks her if she is there to see him? He starts caressing her hair and says that he thinks she is glad to see him too. Bo comes up and grabs Steve and tells him to stay away from his sister. After Steve walks away, Bo tells her that he hopes she didn’t take the job at the ER clinic backed by Kirikis. She says she has and the clinic is needed, regardless of where the money comes from. Kayla warns him that he is her baby brother and they have always been so close, she isn’t going to give up on him or their relationship. She knows there is more going on and she will wait for him to open up to her, and asks him not to wasted more time.

Steve heads over to Victor’s to tell him that Kayla will be staying in Salem indefinitely. Steve asks what is the big deal about Bo’s relationship with Kayla? Bo is challenged by his employees at Allied Cargo and he finally lays down the law and threatens to fire them. After he walks away, they talk about teaching him a lesson. Kim and Shane tell Kayla that Andrew and his abductor were on the plane as she was when she traveled back to Chicago. She is devastated to learn she was so close to her kidnapped nephew.

Lars enlists Patch’s help in convincing Britta to return to Salem. Lars calls her and tells her about the 4th of July celebration, that celebrates freedom. He reminds her that is why they came to America was to be free. He begs her to rejoin him as he needs her. She tells him there is no way for them to be together. Steve is listening on another line. She tells him she can’t. Lars tells her that Steve loves her and she tells Lars that its over and she never wants to see Steve again, its better this way, for everybody.

Kayla is getting settled into the clinic when Victor stops by. She thanks him for sponsoring the clinic. Bo comes in and is less than pleased to see Victor there. Kayla reassures Bo that Victor just stopped by to see how everything is going. As Kayla leaves to answer the phone, Bo sternly reminds Victor that he agreed to stay away from the Bradys. He assures Bo that he won’t be returning. Before leaving, he shares that he hired a top detective to look for Kimberly’s baby. Steve waltzes in with a huge wreath of flowers. He jokes about stopping in for aspirin next time he has a headache. Bo promises Steve that if he doesn’t stop bother Kayla, he will need medical treatment. After Steve leaves, Kayla assures Bo that she isn’t going to fall for Steve’s routine. He listens outside and promises that she is going to fall.

7/2 Steve and Bo are injured down at Allied Cargo. They are rushed to the clinic and Steve passes out in Kayla’s arms. Neil is there to treat them. He is out of it and Neil warns him to take it easy that he may have a concussion. Bo shares that Steve rescued Bo from being crushed by the crates. Neil treats Bo’s injury. A cop shows up with the fork lift driver and asks Bo to identify him and they tell him it wasn’t an accident. Bo covers for the guy and says he didn’t see the driver, and Steve backs him up. A shirtless Steve struggles to stand and put his shirt on, and remembers a romantic moment from his early days with Britta as music plays. Kayla comes in and asks if he is ready to go? He teases her that he would rather stay there and play hospital with her. The cop takes him to the hospital, as Kayla watches from the doorway, seeming confused of what to think about Steve after he saved her brother’s life.

7/7 Steve is surprised to find Kayla at his door. She tells him that she came over to check on his wound as he didn’t show up for his follow up appointment. A shirtless Steve tries to touch her hand and she warns him to stop it, she is only there to do him a favor. He grabs her arm and wants to know what she wants in return? She says nothing, he helped her brother and she was just trying to help him. She gets irritated at his cocky attitude and tells him she made a mistake. She doesn’t get him, how does he save someone’s life one day and then he is a jerk the next day. He plays it off that he wasn’t trying to save anyone’s life, he was just looking out for the boss man’s son. Kayla is tired of his games and wants to know if he wants his head checked or not? He sits down and pretends to be woozy and tries to lay his head on her. tired of his nonsense, she stops and tells him to go down to the clinic if he wants his wound check. In her haste, she leaves behind her scarf. Steve drapes it around his shoulders and sniffs it.

An upset Kayla goes to Shenanigan’s and Chris is hugging her as Steve walks in. Chris walks her out. Steve shows up behind her and wraps the scarf around her neck and holds her tight. She grabs it and tells him that he can leave now. He wants her to check his head and promises he will be good. She is not at all gentle pulling off the bandages as he groans in pain. He starts questioning her about her job in Cleveland. She abruptly finishes and tells him to go. He sweetly kisses her hand and tells her that she is his own angel of mercy. She asks him to leave as she holds her hand. He asks if she is rubbing off his kiss or rubbing it in?

Hard to tell what Kayla is thinking now, she is understandably nervous of him but not as scared as she once was. She puts her shawl on and stands in the doorway as he plays his harmonica outside. She goes back inside and slams the door. He comes back in and tells her that he remembers her looking out her window and smiling at the sound of his music. She snarks that she didn’t know it was him. He teases her that if she doesn’t kiss it, that it won’t get better. She ignores him as he blows into her hair and then slowly leaves playing his harmonica as Kayla watches him go.

7/9 Hope shows up at the warehouse. As she walks up and the guys cat call at her, Steve walks up behind her and gives them a rude sign to knock if off. When Hope turns around, he acts all casual and flirty. She has no idea he just silently defended her. Victor soon arrives and asks Hope if she knows what is bothering Bo. She reams him for forcing Pete to launder money and warns him that Melissa & Pete are her family. After she huffs off, Victor asks Steve if he knows what is bothering Bo? When he doesn’t, Victor asks him to go see Kayla and see if she knows anything.

Hope stops in at the clinic and Kayla is thrilled to see her, she is so happy for her pregnancy. Hope worries about telling Kim & Shane about her pregnancy while Andrew is still missing. Kayla asks if Bo is happily shopping for their baby. Hope says that she hasn’t even spoken to him since she told him. He gets up before she does and goes to bed before she does. Hope has been everywhere looking for him.

Steve walks in and tells her that he is there to have his head examined. Kayla returns to her waiting patient, leaving Steve & Hope alone. Hope feels faint and he catches her as she starts to pass out. He goes into nurturing mode and asks if she needs anything? Can he get her something to eat? She says no, she is fine. He tells her she is shaking and wants to go get Kayla. She insists that she is fine and just needs to rest. Awareness dawns and he asks her if she is pregnant? He is thrilled at the news that Bo is going to be a daddy. He starts chattering about telling all the guys on the docks.

She stops him from leaving and asks him to please not say anything to anyone. He wants to get the guys to pitch in on a baby’s shower. She stops him and tells him this isn’t a joke. He tells her he isn’t joking, it isn’t every day that your best friend in the world is going to become a daddy. She tells him that Bo isn’t exactly overjoyed. Steve knows that Bo is having a hard time with his family right now, and this pregnancy wasn’t planned. She tells him that only their family know, and tells him even Victor doesn’t know. She begs him not to make a fuss until Bo is ready. He promises to keep quiet about the pregnancy. He agrees and hugs her.

Victor is waiting for him down at the warehouse. Steve says it is a waste of Victor’s money to have him following Kayla around. Victor disagrees as he wants all the information about Bo he can get and wants Steve to stay on the job. Steve refuses and says he is hanging up his boots on this one. After Steve leaves, Victor orders his henchman to teach Steve a lesson. Steve strolls into the clinic making his suggestive remarks about going in the back with her. She has had it and cuts loose on him and tells him off and shows him the door. He says she thinks she knows what is inside of him but she doesn’t, but she is going to find out! (This can be taken as a threat or as a promise!

7/11 Patch returns to the clinic and continues to bother Kayla. He calls her “Sweetness” and she tells him not to call her that. He insists she is very sweet. He sweet talks her and tells her that he needs help removing the bandage. She tells him that Dr. Curtis can help him when he is done with his patient and walks off. Steve kills time talking to Savannah, she is on to him hanging around to see Kayla. He claims he is there for his wound. Then Neil comes out and Savannah simpers over him, and Steve laughs as he figures out why she is working there. Kayla is leaving and going to enjoy the day and take a walk. Steve eagerly offers to go with her but Neil takes him into the treatment room and reminds Steve that is why he is there. Patch is attacked on the pier by Victor’s goons. Kayla runs into Kimberly at the park, where she is waiting for the adoption to proceed, and scares the woman off. Kayla finds Patch badly beaten down at the pier.

7/14 Kayla helps Patch back to his apartment. Kayla tends to a very resistant Patch.

Dvd #1B 7/14 continues Kayla gains insight into his vulnerable side. Chris doesn’t like the idea of Kayla being alone with Patch.

7/15 Kayla tends to Patch in his weakened condition and offers to take him to the hospital. Patch harasses Emma over the whereabouts of the Donovan baby. Patch tries to blame Dr. Dennison for the kidnapping off Kimberly’s baby to Kayla, but she denies the entire thing, unable to believe her former boss would ever stoop to that.

7/17 Kayla arrives at Shane & Kim’s and informs them that she got a tip saying that Dr. Dennison, the doctor she worked under back in Cleveland, has Andrew. After hearing the tip from Kayla regarding Dr. Dennison, Shane books two plane tickets for Cleveland. Victor gives Patch his old job back. Kimberly and Shane break into Dr. Dennison’s office. Kayla confronts Patch over his involvement in Andrew’s kidnapping. Kayla threatens to take Patch before a federal judge.

7/21 Kayla wants some answers from Patch – to start; she wants to know if he truly believes Dr. Dennison was involved in Andrew’s kidnapping. Kimberly and Shane are stuck in Cleveland while Ms. Harris and her goons escape with Andrew. Patch calls Emma over to his apartment and threatens to report her to the Salem PD. Calliope tries to convince herself that Eugene is not appearing before her and is indeed dead. Dr. Dennison and Ms. Harris plot to kill “Mr. and Mrs. Andrews,” who are both locked in a building. Emma flies to Cleveland and burns the evidence. Kayla follows through on her threats and has Patch arrested.

Kayla shows up and tells Bo & Hope that Kim & Shane went to Cleveland two days ago following a lead on their missing baby, Andrew. She hasn’t heard from them and can’t reach them. She needs their help to help Shane & Kim. They all head to Cleveland. Once there, Bo reports Shane’s rental car as stolen. They head to the address where Shane’s car was reported abandoned. Steve is already there and the kidnappers escape as Bo & Hope & Kayla come in and stop him. Kayla is furious that he was involved in the kidnapping. He says he only found out about this situation this morning. He tells them that Shane & Kim are being held in the other room. They are released and they ask where Dr. Denison is? Steve points out that he tried to tell them that they were letting them escape. The police come in and arrest Steve as he swear he is innocent and was just trying to help.

7/22 Britta arrives back in Salem; she looks worn-down and dirty. Britta falls right into Roman’s trap and is cornered at the hospital.

7/23 Roman confronts Britta about the poster in his visions and how he is personally connected to Stockholm. Shane is preparing for his interrogation of Patch and is surprised when Kayla announces that she is starting to have second thoughts about his involvement in the kidnapping. Shane gets physical during the interrogation, but Patch tries to tell him that he was trying to help them. Britta reveals to Roman that Victor was the one that forced her to leave, for he would have had Patch killed had she not. Kimberly is dumbfounded as to why Patch is locked up; she would prefer him out with the possibility of leading them to baby Andrew. Shane has no choice but to release Patch.

7/25 Coming out of the Brady Fish Market, Kayla has her purse kidnapped by a snatcher (Frankie), but Patch stops him before he can get away. He continues to toy with Kayla’s emotions. Caroline wants to have a discussion with Patch. During their conversation, Patch tells her that the one thing he would never do is separate a child from its mother. Patch runs into Frankie again, who has stolen another wallet. A young boy with Frankie (Max) falls into the river and Patch rescues him. He brings them both to Kayla, where Frankie explains to her that Patch saved his life.

7/28 Kayla tries to clean up Max and deal with both Patch and Frankie, who has insisted he not be brought to a hospital. Kayla and Patch learn that Max doesn’t talk; she begins to question Frankie about their home life and the whereabouts of their parents. Britta shows up at the Waterfront Clinic and is attended to by Kayla. Patch and Roman butt heads at the docks. After Patch leaves, Roman discovers Britta hiding under the stairway.

7/29 Britta explains the hidden code in the poster – it’s a phone number. Roman calls her bluff and demands that she answer it. A man answers it and explains that he has a safety deposit box. Patch confronts Roman at his house where Britta is hiding from him. Patch spends time with Frankie and Max – Kayla thinks that Max is being abused by his “parents.” Patch has recollections of his own sad childhood story.

8/1 Kayla learns that her brother, Roman, knew the homeless woman that she tended to the day before and requests antibiotics for her. Patch overhears the entire conversation and now knows that Britta is back in Salem. Patch goes to Roman’s house and has a confrontation with the former love of his life. Steve sees the limo outside the Hortons and stops in to inform Bo that Britta is back and hiding out at Roman’s. Steve asks Bo to get Victor’s men to back off from Britta. Steve tells him that he thinks Britta is sick, she is coughing all the time and looks like hell. He doesn’t want to see Britta dead. Bo promises to see what he can do. Bo asks to talk to Victor outside in the limo. When Victor learns that she is back, he tells Bo he is going home. He then sneaks over to Roman’s. He demands to know how much she has told Roman about the events in Stockholm. He promises her freedom, and not just for her but he threatens her brother, Lars, and Steve if she doesn’t cooperate. He tells her that Lars will never dance again, and Steve will be with a fatal accident. Britta then tells Victor all about Roman’s meeting that night with Billings to get the info in the safe deposit box. Victor makes her promise to give him the info as soon as Roman receives it. She sadly agrees.

8/4 Roman announces to Britta that Billings is dead and she reveals that she was the one to inform Victor about it. Kayla tells Patch that she will not give up until she can find both Frankie and Max. Patch goes over to help out Frankie and Max about lying to Kayla about not knowing their whereabouts. Out of concern, she finds them and learns that he knew the entire time. She wants to call the Social Services Department but Frankie starts freaking out. Kayla gets great insight into Patch’s past and starts to understand his reasoning with Frankie and Max.

8/7 Kayla brings a social worker to take Max, Jake & Calliope escape and go to the police who are no help, (Mesach Taylor). Hope goes to visit Kayla and tells her about Bo leaving to go to Europe with Victor. Steve is awakened by Frankie and Max, who barge in, and Frankie tells him he needs to fix this mess he made. Frankie fills Steve in about Kayla and the social worker, as they come in the door, and Steve yells nobody is taking Max. Steve scares the social worker off, then argues with Kayla. Steve and Kayla later work together to help Frankie and Max. She agrees to hide them in her loft, as they look for someone to take them both in together. When they return to Steve's apartment they see Frankie being restrained by the police as the social worker takes Max away. Steve tries to hold back Frankie, as Kayla watches.

8/12 Kayla is working at the Emergency clinic doing inventory of the medicine when Frankie comes in yelling at her to tell him where Max is. Kayla tells him to calm down and that she doesn’t know where Max is. Frankie has called Social Services and they told him that he is a disruptive force in Max’s life and Max doesn’t need that. Frankie reminds Kayla that it’s because of her that Max is gone. Frankie pushes all of the stuff on the counter off onto the floor. While Frankie is standing there yelling at Kayla Steve comes in. He grabs Frankie and shakes him asking him what he thinks he is doing. Frankie tells Steve about him not being able to see Max and he accuses Kayla of knowing where Max is.

Steve asks Kayla where Max is. Kayla tells them that she doesn’t know where Max is. Frankie asks her if she’s happy that this happened? Steve asks her if she is happy about it also. Kayla once again tells Steve and Frankie that she never expected this to happen. Frankie tells Kayla the reason that they stay away from people like her who has their best interest at heart is because people like Kayla do not know anything. Frankie goes to the door and before he opens it he tells Kayla the next time she wants to play God to pick on her own family and leave his alone. Steve leaves right after Frankie without saying anything to Kayla and he comes back with his arms wrapped around a struggling Frankie.

Steve tells Frankie he knows exactly how he feels. He also tells Frankie that Max might be perfectly happy where he is. Frankie argues that Max couldn’t be happy with anyone but him or anywhere that he isn’t. Steve wants to concentrate on getting Max back but Frankie said that Steve has “helped’ enough. Steve goes back into the Emergency clinic to talk to Kayla. She tells him that if he came by to say I told you so then he can save his breath. Steve grabs Kayla and tells Kayla he doesn’t give a damn about I told you so. He just wants to keep the bureaucracy that she brought into the situation out of Frankie and Max’s lives. He then tells her to do something about the fact that it’s her fault this is going on. Steve tells Kayla to call whomever she first talked to about the boys and fix this now. Kayla tells him not to ever tell her what to do again, ever.

Steve tells Kayla as long as she keeps doing stupid things that affect children’s lives then he’ll tell her what to do. Kayla tells Steve that she’s already called the Social services department and she’s waiting on a call from them. Steve goes to find Frankie and he tells Kayla that he’s going to tell Frankie that he can see Max and for her not to make him a liar. Kayla tells Steve that by the time he and Frankie come back she’ll have the whole mess fixed and that’s a promise. Steve tells Kayla he doesn’t want promises just results.

Frankie and Steve get back to the clinic and the Social worker that took Max is there talking to Kayla. Kayla tells the social worker that if she had known that the boys were going to be separated than she never would’ve called them. She tells Kayla if she were to “drop” a phone number on it and Kayla happens to call the number then Kayla just might find Max. Kayla calls the number and the adoptive family tells her that Max ran away. Frankie wants to run right out and find Max but Steve stops him so they can work out a plan. Kayla wants to go help Steve look but Frankie tells her she’s done enough help and that he doesn’t want her anywhere near either one of them. Steve tells Kayla that he knows she meant well but she doesn’t understand them. He then tells Kayla that there’s a whole lot he’s going to have to teach her. He caresses her face and then he walks out of the clinic.

8/14 Kayla drops by Steve’s but he doesn’t answer the door. Kayla goes to leave and Steve walks up. She asks him if he was out all night. He said he was out all night looking for Max. Kayla tells Steve that she wants to help and he tells her if she does want to help then just to stay out of it. Steve tells her everything was fine fro Frankie and Max until she came along. He explains how the system doesn’t work for people like them. Kayla keeps saying she’s sorry and she didn’t mean for it to happen. Chris walks up and hears them talking and he hears Steve call Kayla Sweetness and he tells him that that’s it he is gone. Kayla defends Steve telling Chris that they were just talking. Steve uses that as an example of the system not working for people like him, Frankie, and Max.

Steve is on the dock playing the harmonica when Frankie comes up complaining about how the cops are camped out at his place and Max wouldn’t go there. Steve tells Frankie he is just a punk stealing people’s wallets and purses. Steve goes home and he knows that someone is in his place. He checks it all over then he yells for them to come out and Max crawls out from under the bed. Steve tells him to stay put and he’ll go get Frankie.

Steve comes back with Frankie so he and Max can be together. Steve also tells them that until something permanent comes along they are both going to stay with him. Kayla comes by Steve’s and tells him that her and the social worker are trying to work something out and find placement for Frankie and Max. Steve tells her to go find Max then he’ll listen to what she has to say. They meet up an the dock and Kayla is so worried about the boys but mainly about Max since he ran away.

8/15 Kayla sees Frankie go into Shenanigan’s and order three cheeseburgers and she goes downstairs to Steve’s. She sees him putting Max to sleep and she gets really upset that he didn’t trust her enough to tell her that Max was at his place. Frankie comes in and sees Kayla and starts yelling that she’s not taking Max away from him again. Kayla has an idea and leaves right in the middle of everyone talking.

Kayla goes to see her mom and see if Carolyn knows of someone that can take both Frankie and Max. Carolyn tells Kayla that her and Shawn will take the boys. Frankie is getting Max ready so they can run again. Steve tells Frankie that if he goes he’s not taking Max with him. Kayla comes by and tells all three of them that her mom and pop are going to take both of the boys in. Kayla and Steve take the boys to see Carolyn and Shawn comes in. When he hears about the boys he tells them that they can stay but they’ll have to help out.

Steve tells Kayla that she did well and he thanked her for the time she scraped him up off of the pier and stayed with him over night to take care of him. Steve and Kayla share a tender moment, when she kisses him on the check. Steve tells everyone that he wants to take them out and celebrate the boys finding a home for both of them. Carolyn assures Steve that they’ll take good care of the boys. Kayla thanks Steve for giving her a second chance and she kisses his cheek. 8/18 Steve is standing outside Kayla’s loft with a flower. He decides to put it into his shirt pocket. He knocks and Kayla answers the door. He reminds her of the celebration that they are suppose to have with Frankie and Max. Kayla said she couldn’t go because she has made other plans. Chris shows up and Steve leaves. Chris and Kayla are at the loft talking and he can tell something is wrong. She finally tells him about the celebration and he tells her he has some other stuff he can do so he takes her to Shenanigan’s to celebrate with the boys and Steve.

Steve goes to the fish market and goes in and gets Frankie and Max. Frankie thinks he wasn’t coming because he was 15 minutes late. Frankie asks about Kayla but Steve acts like it was only suppose to be the three of them so they head off to Shenanigan’s. Steve has party hats and noisemakers for all of them. Max won’t smile. Kayla comes in and tells them she’s sorry that she is late. Steve puts a party hat on Kayla and while her head is turned he blows a noisemaker at her and she screams and Max smiles at Kayla being scared. Kayla tries to pay Steve a compliment but he turns it into something perverted. They leave to go get ice cream.

Steve and Kayla take the Frankie and Max back to the fish market and while Kayla dries the dishes Steve has put the boys to bed by playing his harmonica. Steve tells Kayla he appreciates her showing up and that he’ll take he home. Kayla walks out first and when Steve walks out he sees the flower that he threw done and he bends to pick it up.

8/20 Steve gets awoken by someone knocking on the door he opens it and it’s Britta. Steve wants to know what Britta wants from him. She still thinks that he had something to do with Victor leaving her alone even though he said no. Steve tells Britta to show herself out. Britta reminds Steve about the three of them, him, Bo and her getting a tattoo. Britta keeps bugging Steve and she asks him if he’s heard from Gregory and he tells her no he hasn’t. Steve’s phone rings and it’s Gregory. Gregory gets Steve to agree to pick him up. Steve writes down some stuff on a pad and he tells Britta that she has to leave and while Steve is in the bathroom Britta runs a pencil over the indention on the notepad to get Gregory’s information.

Steve tells Britta that he’s leaving and he walks up the steps to leave. Britta is right behind him and Kayla sees them and smiles at Steve until she sees another girl with him. Kayla tells Britta it’s nice to see her again and she’s glad that she’s healthy. Britta explains to Steve that Britta came to the clinic sick. Kayla tells Britta that she looks more like the picture now, the one that Steve has. Steve clarifies that he’s got so much junk that he needs to clear out. Steve then leaves. Britta tells Kayla she hopes that they see each other again but she doesn’t look like she means it and Britta leaves.
