Jax & Skye #4 October 4 - December 16, 2002: 8 hour original edit

DVD #4A 10/4 Brenda professes her love to a critically wounded Jax, who is taken to the hospital. Brenda blames Sonny for Jax being shot. Skye arrives at the hospital and learns Jax was with a woman when he was shot. At the police station, Brenda refuses to implicate Sonny in any wrongdoing and states he saved her and Jax's lives. Skye extends a helping hand to Courtney.

10/7 At the hospital, Skye stays beside Jax and reassures him that they will be headed for their honeymoon soon. Skye promises Jax that she will call his parents with the news about the shooting. But Skye is surprised when it seems that Jax is saying Brenda's name. Skye is even more surprised later, when even Monica assures her that Jax is a fighter and has a good chance in the Operating Room. Even Edward stops by to assure Skye that Jax has never let anything stand in his way before and is not likely to do so now.

In the interrogation room at the Port Charles Police Department, Sonny and Jason are cautiously optimistic when they see Carly run into Brenda just as Brenda is rushing out of police headquarters to see Jax at the hospital. Outside, Carly recognizes Brenda and suddenly realizes that Brenda must have been Alcazar's girlfriend. Carly accuses Brenda of being the cause of all the carnage. But Brenda just pushes past Carly, in a hurry to see Jax. Carly, "You had better hurry, because Jax is married too!"

Skye is upset when Jax comes out of surgery and all of the doctors seem to be evading her questions about her husband's condition. As Skye sits beside Jax and tells him that he is the prince in her fairy tale who fought through the thorns encircling her heart to teach her how to love, Brenda arrives and watches Skye with Jax through the window. Back at the hospital, when Dr. Caldwell asks Skye to accompany him to his office to speak with him about treatment options for her husband, Brenda slips in unnoticed to Jax's ICU room. As Brenda holds Jax's hand and reminds him of some of the times they shared together, Brenda asks Jax to open his eyes and smile for her  and Jax opens his eyes and look up at Brenda! As Jax begins to speak to Brenda, and Brenda holds Jax's hand, Skye suddenly returns to Jax's ICU room and asks Brenda, "Who are you? And what are you doing with my husband?'

10/8 Skye questions why Brenda is in Jax's room and then remembers who she is. Skye questions how Brenda knows about her. It occurs to Skye that Jax abandoned Skye the day after their wedding to see Brenda. Brenda explains that she didn't know how "bad" Alcazar was, and that Jax helped her. Brenda claims she isn't in PC to complicate anyone's life. Skye says she is going to make sure Jax and her stay happy. Skye blames Brenda as the reason that Jax almost died, and Jax awakes and says Brenda's the reason why he's alive. Jax tells Skye he would have married her if Brenda showed up in the middle of their vows. Jax reassures Skye she won't lose him either to the bullet wound or Brenda. Brenda returns to Jax's room but runs away when Skye see her. Skye goes after her. Skye apologizes and thanks Brenda for saving Jax's life. Brenda tells Skye she's leaving town again. Skye offers to let Brenda go in and say goodnight to Jax. Brenda sits down next to Jax with Skye watching through the window looking concerned.

10/10 Brenda sits with Jax in his hospital room while Skye meets with Jax's doctors, including Monica about Jax's treatment. They tell her that his surgery was successful but there could be side-effects they are not aware of. Jax asks Brenda to pinch his leg so he can see if he can feel it. Brenda pinches his leg but doesn't tell him and tries to hide her reaction when he doesn't react to her touch on his leg. She changes the subject to distract him about his leg. She runs into Skye later in the waiting area and tells her about what happened with Jax's leg. Skye becomes very concerned that Jax can't feel his leg. She tells Brenda not to worry about Jax and that she will take care of him now. Brenda hangs out in the waiting area and lets out her grief over Jax's condition.

Jax tells Alexis that he wants her to keep Brenda away from him if she can since he has Skye in his life now. Skye comes to see him and Jax tells that he would love to take her to Paris for their honeymoon but he can't because he has no feeling in his legs.

10/11 In his hospital room, Jax insists to Skye that he already knows that he is permanently paralyzed! Skye tries to remain positive, as Jax demands that Skye feel his leg. Jax insists that he speak to his doctor alone, while Skye leaves to talk to Monica. What Monica tells Skye is that Jax's spinal cord was bruised and they could be looking at permanent paralysis. Jax hears similar news from his physician, but Jax tells his doctor that Jax has ruled out permanent paralysis and Jax insists that Jax be allowed to begin physical therapy right away. Jax announces that he plans to walk out of the hospital within a month!

When Skye returns to see Jax, Jax tells Skye that he intends to train past his limits and he is confident he will heal in record time and walk out of the hospital with Skye, ready to go on their honeymoon. Skye assures Jax that she believes he can do anything! As Jax insists that he start therapy that very evening, the doctor points out that pushing too hard too soon can actually make matters worse! Monica urges Skye to go home and get some rest, since Jax just had a heavy sedative and will sleep through the night. Monica reminds Skye that Skye has to prepared for hanging in there for the long haul and can not let all of her energies get depleted on the first day!

After Monica and Skye leave, Jax dreams of dancing with Skye in her wedding gown. But Skye suddenly turns into Brenda in his arms. Jax wakes up and asks for Skye, but she is not there! Skye returns to the Lake House, looks at some of her wedding gifts and smashes some of them. They she lays down to cry on the couch. At the same time, Jax tries to get out of bed in his room and falls in a heap on the floor.

10/14 At the hospital, Jax struggles to get up after he has fallen to the floor in an attempt to determine for himself whether or not he is facing a lifetime of paralysis. When Brenda arrives at the Hospital, she insists on seeing Jax and discovers Jax on the floor. 

At the hospital, orderlies get an unhappy Jax back to bed, then Brenda calls Skye, advising Jax's bride that Jax needs her right away. Bobbie stays to speak to Jax, and Bobbie informs Jax that it was not too long ago that doctors were telling Bobbie that Bobbie would never walk again but Bobbie proved them wrong. Bobbie tells Jax that, if he genuinely wants to walk again, Jax needs to pay attention to the advice he is getting from his doctors and to let the people who love him be with him! 


When Skye arrives at the hospital, she finds Jax and Brenda in an intimate huddle. After Brenda leaves, Skye informs Jax again that Skye plans to be there for the long haul. Bobbie privately suggests to Skye that she contact contractors to make the Lake House wheelchair accessible. 

Later, Jax demands that Skye come clean with him about his prognosis but Skye swears that she only knows what the doctors have told her and she has told Jax everything the doctors have told her. Skye tries to convince Jax that he can do anything he decides to do. So Skye is stunned when Jax announces that he plans to divorce her!

10/15 Skye argues with Jax about the divorce he wants because he thinks he's paralyzed. Jax tells Skye nothing's forever. Skye says there is no way she's letting Jax divorce her. Jax doesn't want Skye tied to a crippled man and asks her to leave. Jax says if she won't leave he'll drag himself out of bed and throw her out, but he has no strength. He tells her to get the hell away from him. Skye is crushed and leaves in tears.

Brenda shows up and Jax tells her "good night", and wants her to leave. He is sulking because of his paralysis. He tells Brenda he's already thrown Skye out. Brenda tells him nobody tells understand what he's going through better than she does. Brenda makes reference to her mother's disease and how Jax didn't want to leave her. She uses this to validate her four year absence from PC. Brenda tells Jax that he's being selfish, but Jax claims it as his right. Brenda tells Jax that she was wrong by not letting her support her years ago, but that he needs to let Skye help him now. 

Skye encounters Alcazar walking down the hospital hall and she confronts him. She says the fact that he's walking at all is a travesty, and that he should be dead. She slaps him across the face. A security guard intervenes and Skye tells Alcazar that he's going to pay.

Skye is crying and Brenda approaches her. Brenda tells Skye she should go see Jax, but Skye tells her Jax wants a divorce. Brenda encourages Skye to stay with Jax no matter what. When asked if Brenda still loves Jax, Brenda responds not as much as Jax loves Skye. Skye goes back into Jax's room and finds him in pain. Jax reconfirms he doesn't want Skye's help. Skye says Jax can do whatever he wants, but she is staying. Ever-present Brenda is outside Jax's hospital room looking in.

10/16 When Jax confers with a specialist he has flown in from Europe, the doctor reluctantly informs Jax that, while there is a possibility that Jax could recover use of his legs, it is not likely that that would actually happen. In any event, if Jax could recover the use of his legs, it would be a long, arduous, uphill battle that will probably mean running the gamut of emotional reactions, including rage and despair. Jax concludes that he could be handing Skye a life sentence of feeling obligated to a husband who will never be able to function independently. 

Skye arrives at the hospital to visit Jax and panics when she discovers that his room is empty. As Skye frantically searches for Jax, Jax has managed to make it to the Hospital rooftop in a wheelchair.

When Skye hears a report of a wheelchair patient on the roof, Skye believes immediately that it is Jax and she races to the roof. 

When Skye finds Jax on the hospital roof, he tells her he just needed fresh air and Skye apologizes for immediately believing the worst. In spite of Skye's pleas, Jax remains adamant that the best thing for Skye to do would be to leave Jax now! 

As orderlies help Jax back to bed, Jax insists that Skye leave. As Skye leaves the room, she runs into Taggert. Taggert gives Skye a letter addressed to Jax that Taggert's forensics team discovered when they swept Brenda's cottage for clues. Taggert believes it is a letter that Skye wrote to Jax. When Skye reads the letter, she is moved by the apparent depth of Brenda's feelings for Jax.  Skye spots Brenda arriving at the hospital. When Brenda asks about Jax, Brenda is surprised when Skye urges Brenda to go inside and see Jax. However, when Brenda sees Jax, Jax tells Brenda he needs her help!

10/17 Jax asks Brenda to lie for him and tell Skye that they realized how much they still love each other and want to be together. Brenda is apprehensive about lying to Skye since she knows that she stayed away from Jax and hurt him the same way. He tells her about Skye's alcoholism and that she is strong enough to go on without him.

Meanwhile, Skye is comforted by Alan who stops by to see her in the waiting area. He tells Skye that it is natural for Jax to push her away since he has never relied on anyone like this before and encourages her to hang in there and show her love and support to Jax who really needs her. Skye goes to see Jax and finds him talking to Brenda. Brenda tells her that she still loves Jax and he still loves her and that she knows that Jax is divorcing her now so they can be together now. Skye asks her to leave. Once alone, Skye tells Jax that his little scheme to get rid of her didn't work and that he will have to fight her in family court to divorce her since she isn't giving up on their marriage because of his paralysis. Jax realizes that he needs to convince Skye that it is over between them and that he wants Brenda back.

Brenda returns to Jax's room later. He tells her that Skye needs to be convinced that he is still in love with her in order for her to believe their marriage is over. He asks Brenda to kiss him when he hears Skye talking to an orderly outside his room. Brenda doesn't want to kiss him but he pleads with her that this is the right thing to do for Skye and everyone else. Brenda leans into him to kiss him when Skye walks into the room. 



10/18 When Jax spots Skye in the hospital corridor, watching as Brenda visits Jax, Jax asks Brenda to kiss him and then he 'confesses' to Brenda that he still has strong feelings for her, in a charade designed to convince Skye that Skye should bail from the marriage, rather than feel obligated to a lifetime commitment to a paralyzed man. 

When Skye leaves the hallway, Brenda tells Jax that he is no longer the man she once loved because the real Jax could not be that cruel to anyone but especially to someone he said he loved. Jax objects to Brenda's assessment of his character and Jax reminds Brenda that he probably will never walk again. However, as Brenda and Jax argue about Jax's plan to spare Skye by pretending that he does not love her, Brenda notices that Jax's foot twitched. Brenda tells Jax that he just moved his foot, but Jax is not sure he can believe her.  She squeals in delight! She declares she is no longer going to be passive as being feisty with him works.


As Skye makes plans to meet John and Jane Jacks, she overhears a nurse call a doctor because Jax has moved his foot. Dr. Caldwell arrives at Jax's room and tells him that the movement of that foot is a good sign. Skye watches as Brenda finally leaves Jax's room. 

When John and Jane arrive, they are thrilled to hear Jax's good news. But John is surprised when Jax tells them that it was Brenda who was with him when he moved his foot! Jax confesses to his parents that he loves Skye. He is happy to know that Brenda is alive but Jax truly loves Skye!

Skye catches Brenda before Brenda can leave the hospital and Skye lets Brenda know that she saw through Jax's charade. Skye accuses Brenda of wanting to be with Jax. Then Brenda tearfully admits the truth, that she still does love Jax. Brenda reminds Skye that Brenda, after all, has a rather short life expectancy and that she would never knowingly let Jax become entangled in the kind of uphill battle Brenda knows will be coming up for her. But, when Brenda tries to leave, Skye stops her.

10/21 In Jax's hospital room, Jax explains to his parents how Brenda was with him when he wiggled his foot for the first time. Jane and John remind Jax that they believe that Jax truly loves Skye and they urge their son to think twice before following through on his plan to push Skye away for her own good. 

Meanwhile, Skye urges Brenda to stay in Port Charles and appear to go along with Jax's plan to persuade Skye that he has fallen back in love with Brenda but Skye urges Brenda to use that opportunity to set Jax free to love again by convincing Jax that there truly is no future for Jax with Brenda. 



Brenda visits Jax and tells him that she needs to take care of herself and Jax needs to take care of himself. After Brenda leaves Jax's room, she calls Jason and tells him that she needs to see him. Jason arrives at the hospital and Brenda tells Jason that about Jax moving his foot and she wants to stay in PC until he is better and then she will return to Europe. She asks for money from her inheritance so that she can return to Europe when the time comes. Jason and Brenda argue, but Jason agrees to get some money to Brenda.

Monica gives Jax a love letter from Skye. After reading Skye's letter, Jax calls the Lake House. Skye is at home but does not pick up the phone. Jax leaves a message for Skye that he read her letter and apologizes for trying to push her away. Jax tells Skye that he never stopped loving her and admits that he needs Skye with him as he deals with his paralysis.

10/22 Jax is being worked over by the physical therapist and Skye looks on from outside the room. Jax tells the physical therapist he's waiting for his "partner" and Skye overhears this. Jax reviews a computer print out of his progress and is happy. Skye calls from around the corner and makes nice with Jax. She pretends that she just now got his phone message. Skye is now pretending to be cooperative with Jax's wishes that she stay away, and its working. Skye pretends to be glad that Brenda is helping him.

Sonny stops by Jax's room. In the hallway, Skye throws away the flowers she brought for Jax. Skye sees Brenda and compliments Brenda's outfit. Brenda indicates that she is playing by Skye's rules. Skye has a plan, and tells Brenda when her plan is complete, Brenda should be gone by then. Brenda asks, "What if I'm not?" Skye tells Brenda to go for it if she thinks she can take Jax away from her and then Jax can nurse Brenda through her illness and witness her death.

Brenda then decides that Skye should have Jax, and they agree they have a deal. Sonny tells Jax he has a problem with Brenda wasting her time nursing Jax back to health when he has a wife. They exchange insults regarding Brenda when Brenda walks in. Brenda accuses Sonny of being so insecure he must feed on other people's insecurity, and Sonny asks her if she's a psychiatrist now too, in addition to a physical therapist. Sonny leaves. 

Skye has Alcazar brought into the PCPD questioning room. He is in shackles and an orange jumpsuit. Skye questions where Brenda was diagnosed and Alcazar tells her. Skye wants to know exactly how much longer Brenda has to live. 


10/23 Skye tries to get Alcazar to tell her how much time Brenda has left to live but Alcazar tries to bargain to obtain Skye's help in beating the various charges against him. 

Back at the hospital, Brenda and Jax engage in a long, lingering kiss. As a flustered Brenda pulls away and tries to assure Jax that she no longer loves him in 'that way,' Jax apologizes to Brenda for drawing her into his life, since Jax is not available because he is married to Skye and truly in love with his wife. Jax tells Brenda he realizes now that it was unfair to ask Brenda to help him walk again, so that Jax can walk home to Skye but never into Brenda's life.

Brenda asks why Jax kissed her and Jax admits that he never could resist her. 

Skye arrives at the hospital to check on Jax and a nurse mentions that Brenda left her jacket. Skye offers to give the jacket to Brenda, but, before Skye finds Brenda, Skye finds some of Brenda's medication in the jacket pocket. Skye contacts Dr. Caldwell and asks if it would be possible for him to tell her what the medication is making up a story about her sister having brought the medication with her from Europe and that the medication is to treat her 'sister's' incurable illness.

When Skye gets the report back from Dr. Caldwell, Skye is shocked when Caldwell tells Skye that, while the label on the container says that the medication is ‘Haldon’, a medication often used to treat some brain diseases, the pills inside the container are merely a mild sedative. Dr. Caldwell urges Skye to encourage her 'sister' to talk this matter over with her doctor as quickly as possible! And Skye assures him that she will. 

After Skye talks to Brenda and Brenda assures Skye that Brenda has a large supply of her medication from the Reinmar Clinic in Zurich, Skye calls the clinic and makes arrangements to visit the clinic as soon as Skye can possibly arrive. 

In his room, Jax has a dream about making love to Brenda. Then Brenda suddenly arrives and Jax admits to her that he was just dreaming about making love to her. 


10/24 Brenda can't hide the fact from Jax that she still loves him but tells him that she wishes him happiness with Skye. Ned confronts Jax about his feelings for Brenda. He tells Jax not to lead Brenda on if he loves Skye and that she is dying and it isn't fair to her or to Skye to lead either of them on.

Meanwhile, Skye found out that the pills Brenda is taking for her illness are only sedatives. She gets on a plane for Switzerland and talks to a woman seated across from her. The woman tells her that she recently divorced her husband who left her for his old flame and that she is going to Switzerland to talk to the bankers there and get her half of the money he put there. Skye confides in her that she is going to Switzerland to stop her from making the same mistake the woman made. She tells her that her husband's old love seems very sincere but she is going to find out if she is lying or not and she is going to stop her if that is the case. 


10/25 Posing as a patient with a rare genetic illness, Skye arrives at the clinic in Zurich. Skye finally convinces a sympathetic nurse to let her see Brenda's file. Jax tells Alexis he's committed to his wife but still feels a strong obligation to assist Brenda in any way he can. Skye's attempt to sneak a peek at her rival's medical records fails when she's forced to leave the clinic.

10/28 Brenda breaks her marriage to Jason news to Jax, who becomes furious. Brenda tries to convince Jax that they have no future together. Sonny and Jax blame each other for Brenda's actions.

10/29 Sonny was visiting Jax at General Hospital while Carly eavesdropped outside the door. Jax tells Sonny that no one will stand in his way of being with Brenda. Sonny questions "even your wife? Jax claims he loves Skye entirely and he has enough love in him to take care of Brenda too. Sonny wondered why Skye wasn't with her injured husband and surmised that it might be because she realized Jax was still in love with Brenda. Jax accused Sonny of the same thing. Sonny claimed that he loved Carly, and Brenda had nothing to do with it. Carly, still eavesdropping, looked very pleased. Sonny accused Jax of not being able to protect Brenda from Alcazar. He would have thought that Jax would just walk away. That was what Brenda was trying to do. Jax thought Sonny would like that because then he would have Brenda all to himself. Sonny reminded Jax that Brenda felt responsible for Jax's injuries, and Jax was only making things worse. Jax repeated that Brenda needed him. Sonny smugly wondered if that was why she'd married Jason, to get away from Jax. Jax believed that Brenda had married Jason to get away from Jax, not Sonny, and Sonny couldn't stand that. Jax was sure it would kill Sonny to know that Brenda was living across the hall and wondered what Carly would think.

On an airplane headed for Port Charles, Skye thought back to the conversation she'd had with the nurse, who had assured her that Brenda wasn't dying. The nurse was unsure if Brenda knew the truth. Skye surmised that either Brenda had been lying, or Alcazar had kept Brenda in the dark.

In his room at GH, Jax was practicing walking when Skye entered, excited to see the progress he had made. Jax apologized for being unfair to her. Skye demurred; he wanted to get better, and he had. She said that they had their lives back. There was an elephant in the room, specifically Brenda. Skye wanted to know if Brenda had gone back to Europe. Jax informed a shocked Skye that Brenda had married Jason. Skye couldn't believe that Brenda had married Skye's brother.

Jax wanted to know Skye's news, and Skye did her best to evade the question. Skye wondered why Jason would marry Brenda. Jax guessed it was because Brenda didn't want Jax around when she got sick, and he didn't think she had much time left. He thought they'd probably go to Europe. Biting her tongue, Skye said at least Brenda was around to help Jax get better. Jax wanted to know where she had been. Skye said she'd traveled a long way to find out the truth. Without revealing anything else, Skye promised Jax that she'd never leave him again.

  Jax gets a call from Skye from the plane. She tells Jax she's landing at the airport and he won't believe what she's found out. Skye sees Jax standing on crutches and is thrilled. They discuss going on their honeymoon. Skye asks about Brenda, and finds out that she married Jason, her brother. Skye is shocked. Skye questions why on earth Jason would marry Brenda. Skye withholds the truth about Brenda's non-existent condition. Skye wonders if Brenda has been faking her illness, or if Alcazar has been lying to her all these years. 


10/30 Brenda arrives at Jax's hospital room and is shocked when she discovers that Skye and Jax spent the night in the same bed! After Brenda informs Jax that she is on the way to the court room to put Alcazar away for good, she leaves. On the pretense of wanting to order a wedding gift for Brenda and Jason, Skye catches up with Brenda in the hall. Skye informs Brenda that their deal is off, Skye plans to take her rightful place as Jax's wife. 



Everyone is surprised when Skye wheels Jax into the courtroom, and Alcazar suggests that Jax's time would have been better spent in rehab. However, Alcazar is shocked when Jax takes a few determined steps toward his seat. 

As the trial begins, Monica testifies about being forced to remove Alcazar's bullet and tells about the threats made against her life. Felicia testifies that Alcazar first kidnapped her children and then held Felicia prisoner in order to force Roy to kill Sonny. Taggert testifies that whomever set off the detonator to blow up the warehouse had to be within sight of the warehouse and would have known that Kristina Cassadine had entered the warehouse.

Zander testifies that Alcazar threatened to kill Zander because Zander had seen Brenda aboard Alcazar's yacht. Brenda testifies about Alcazar shooting Jax, when Jax was not armed and after Alcazar had promised Brenda he would spare Jax. 

As Scott is summing up the Prosecution's case against Alcazar, a government official sends an urgent message to Scott and calls Scott out of the courtroom. In the hallway outside, the official hands Scott a sheaf of documents. When Scott returns to the Courtroom, Scott tells the Judge that the State will be dropping all charges against Alcazar. When the Judge admonishes Scott for his sudden change of heart, Scott hands the documents to the Judge.

When the Judge reads the documents, he announces that his hands are tied and he must dismiss all charges against Alcazar. As the stunned courtroom watches, Luis Alcazar is released and begins to walk out of the courtroom. Brenda attacks Alcazar as he saunters past her on his way out of the courtroom. 

As Alcazar shoves past the throng of reporters, someone hands him a note that states: "You are a dead man.' Alcazar rushes up to Scott and thrusts the note at Scott, demanding a police escort out of the building. Scott at first brushes it off but, when Scott sees the note, Scott announces that someone has threatened Alcazar's life, but there is no sympathy from the bystanders!

10/31 Skye puts on a costume and models it for Jax it before she heads to the charity costume party event. When she gets there, she is approached by a masked guest. He takes off his mask and it is Alcazar. He makes her listen to him while he asks her how her trip to Switzerland went and tells her she knows the same thing he does now, Brenda is going to die from her mother's disease.

Skye listens to him and tells him she plans to tell Brenda about what she found out. Alcazar tells her that he came back to kill Sonny and Jax to keep them away from Brenda. He calls Skye's bluff about telling Brenda and Jax about her not dying. He tells her to think about that since if Brenda finds out she isn't dying, she will run straight back to Jax, who may want her. He suggests that she let him take Brenda back to Europe, where a letter will be sent to Jax, reporting her death a few months from now, and that she can be there to comfort him in his grief. Skye realizes that she could possibly lose Jax if he knew Brenda wasn't dying. She talks to AJ later. AJ advises her to take what she can and to fight for what she has and not let anyone get in her way. Skye goes back to GH. and surprises Jax with candy and candles. They share an intimate moment alone. 


11/4 Jax and Skye snuggle in Jax's hospital bed after making love. Later, Skye arrives at the penthouse and Skye overhears Brenda tell Sonny that Brenda plans to rescue Jax from that lying idiot that Jax married. Skye angrily confronts Brenda at the penthouse and informs Brenda that Skye and Jax are back in bed together and that Skye is confident that the promises Jax made to Skye at their wedding are a sacred trust with Jax.



Alcazar suddenly arrives at Jax's hospital room and attempts to convince Jax that the only right thing for Jax to do for Brenda is to let her go away with Alcazar to live out the remainder of her life and, spare Jax's new bride from any more pain. Instead, Jax threatens to kill Alcazar as soon as Jax gets out of the hospital, and then Jax grabs Alcazar in a choke hold. A nurse breaks them up and Alcazar leaves. 

Following her bitter confrontation with Skye, Brenda returns to Jax's hospital room, kisses Jax while he sleeps, then settles down in a nearby chair to keep watch over Jax. 

Elsewhere in the hospital, Skye meets with Alcazar and tells the arms dealer that she is willing to cooperate in convincing Brenda to leave Port Charles with Alcazar.


 11/5 Brenda returns again. Jax realizes that Brenda was in his room all night. Brenda tries to rekindle Jax's memories of their life together by reminding him of New Orleans and that today was supposed to be their wedding day six years ago. Brenda helps herself to Jax's breakfast. They reminisce about past events that have come to naught. While they are holding hands, Skye enters the room and notes the activity and Jax's lack of respect for their marriage. Jax wants to know if Skye is accusing him of being unfaithful. Skye tells Jax that Brenda told her Brenda could get him into bed anytime she wanted. Brenda backtracks. Jax accuses Skye of having overactive jealousy. Skye tells Jax that both he and Brenda are responsible for her problems.

Skye and Brenda have a verbal confrontation, with Brenda tap-dancing about claiming she could bed Jax anytime she wants. In a desperate move, Brenda leaps towards Skye but Jason intervenes. Jason tells Brenda to distance herself from Jax, and he wants to know why Brenda opened the penthouse door for Alcazar. Skye calls Alcazar and tells him they need to meet as soon as possible. Jason reads Brenda the riot act about her behaving stupidly. Brenda claims she needs a little time to herself because of her brain disease and that she'll be monitored 24/7 when the disease progresses.

Jason leaves, and Brenda receives a call from Skye. Skye pretends to apologize and offers to meet her to clear the air. Skye turns to Alcazar and says Brenda's on her way and advises to make it count. Jax calls home and leaves an apology on their answering machine claiming to love her. 

Skye tells Alcazar that he isn't moving fast enough to get rid of Brenda. Skye tells Alcazar that if he doesn't get her out of town now, Skye will force her out of town. Alcazar wants Skye to set up a private meeting with Brenda so he has access to her. Brenda shows up and sees Luis. Two of Alcazar's men grab Brenda and forcibly remove her from the club.

11/6 Skye beats on Jason's door, urgently calling to him that Alcazar has kidnapped Brenda. When Carly steps out into the hall to shut Skye up, Skye runs to Sonny to tell Sonny that Brenda has been kidnapped. Carly tells Sonny that maybe Alcazar would be headed to Paris, since Alcazar had told Carly that he had a private jet waiting to take Brenda to Paris if Carly would cooperate in helping Alcazar to convince Brenda to leave with him. 

Jax enlists Bobbie's help in preparing a romantic surprise for Skye.

At the same time, in Sonny's Penthouse, Carly accuses Skye of trying to shove Brenda into Sonny's arms so Skye can hang on to Jax. When Skye gets a call from Bobbie, she rushes straight to the hospital, where Jax shows her that he can now take a few steps without the walker. But as Jax announces to Skye that he has a romantic dinner prepared for her in his room, Skye begins to fill Jax in about Alcazar taking Brenda, but ends up telling Jax that Brenda left with Alcazar and Sonny followed to stop Brenda from leaving.

Dvd #4B 11/7 Jax returns to his hospital room with Skye to call someone for information on Brenda. Skye's insecurities about Jax's feelings for Brenda start to show. Jax apologizes to her for distancing himself from her and pushing her away like he did. He tells her he loves her and asks her for her forgiveness. Skye accepts his apology. Jax asks her where she went away to last week. Skye lies to him and tells him she went to South Carolina to some isolated place so she could do some thinking in peace. 

Skye drops her purse on the floor and picks up most of the stuff she droppped on the floor. Jax asks her to go to the Thai place across the street from GH and buy him some real dinner since he is sick of the hospital food. Jax sits up and notices some of Skye's belongings on the floor. He picks up a magazine and some slip of paper from her purse. It is some receipt from her trip to Switzerland dated during the time she told him she went to South Carolina.

Jax realizes she lied about her whereabouts. He calls up Alan and asks him to drop by his room later. Alan is surprised when Jax questions him about whether he has heard anything about Brenda's whereabouts. He also asks Alan about the hospital in Switzerland that Brenda went to with Alcazar four years ago about her illness. Alan assures him it is one of the best hospitals in the world and that they do great research there as well. 

Jax starts to see what Skye may have gone to in Switzerland. He calls the Switzerland hospital himself and talks to Brenda's doctor's nurse. He asks her if anyone has been there recently asking about Brenda Barrett's illness. The woman admits that a woman matching Skye's description was asking about Brenda's illness and that she had an exam herself but wasn't ill or had she become a patient.

Jax realizes the woman on the phone knows more than she is saying but leaves it alone and hangs up just as Skye walks in. Skye had run into Alan on the way up to Jax's room with his food. Alan had given her his love and support as her father. Skye asks him who he was talking to on the phone. He lies and tells her that was his nurse informing him he can go home tomorrow. Skye is thrilled but Jax isn't as happy about her lying to him but he doesn't confront her about it. 

11/8 At the hospital, Jax finally gets someone at the Swiss clinic to admit that an American woman had visited Zurich and asked questions about Brenda's illness. Jax makes arrangements to fly Dr. Reimar in from Switzerland under the guise of consulting him about Jax's condition and Jax asks Bobbie to help Jax keep the meeting a secret from Skye.

When Jax and Skye arrive home at the Lake House, Jax catches Skye quietly leaving a message for Carly, asking for news of Brenda. Skye admits that she feels partly to blame for Brenda being gone because of the argument that Skye and Brenda had just before Brenda 'left' with Alcazar. Jax and Skye make love.

Jax returns to the hospital to meet with Dr. Reimer and asks him about Brenda's case. Faced with a choice between a donation for his clinic from Jax or being prosecuted for fraud and malpractice, Dr. Reimar finally admits that Brenda is not ill but that Alcazar probably kept her in the dark about her diagnosis. 

11/11 At the hospital, Jax quizzes Dr. Reimar and learns that Alcazar threatened Reimar and that was the reason that Reimar let Brenda continue to believe that she had inherited her mother's fatal brain disease. Jax learns from Reimar how much Skye learned about the facts about Brenda's case.

Skye is at the Lake House confiding in AJ that she has learned that Brenda is not dying and that Skye is inadvertently responsible for Brenda being kidnapped by Alcazar. AJ urges Skye to get Jax out of town before Brenda returns with Brenda's version of events. AJ reminds Skye that Brenda hurt Jax every time Brenda ran back to Sonny.

At the hospital, Jax learns from Dr. Reimar that he caught Skye at his files but believes that she had not had time to learn anything about Brenda's case by the time Dr. Reimar had security escort her away. Jax demands that Dr. Reimar give Jax certified copies of accurate reports about Brenda's tests. When Jax returns to the Lake House, he is surprised to find Skye packing to leave on their honeymoon. 

Skye paints a happy fantasy for Jax about their prospective honeymoon.

However, Jax lowers the boom and lets Skye know that Jax knows that Skye has been to Switzerland to see Brenda's doctor, Dr. Reimar! As Skye tries to explain away her trip to Switzerland to Jax, Skye inadvertently lets slip that Skye did learn that Brenda was not dying while Skye was in Switzerland! When Jax blasts Skye for withholding the truth about Brenda's condition from Brenda, Skye defends herself by suggesting that maybe Brenda always knew the truth about her illness and withheld the information herself in order to get sympathy. Jax stuns Skye when Jax replies, "Brenda did not need my sympathy! She had my heart!' 

11/12 Jax is angry that Skye didn't tell him Brenda wasn't dying. Skye explains that she didn't know if Alcazar was lying to Brenda, or if Brenda knew she wasn't dying and was using this as an excuse for Jax's sympathy. Jax glorifies Brenda as a saint saying Brenda wouldn't do such a thing, but that Skye would. Skye is furious about Jax's distrust, reiterating that Brenda said she could have Jax back anytime she wanted him. 

Jax continues to make excuses for Brenda. Skye points out that Jax had been pushing her aside since Brenda showed up in town, and Skye is supposed to be the wife. Jax excuses his own actions, but tells Skye her actions were unconscionable. Skye wants to know why Brenda didn't find out about her own illness herself. Skye wants to know why neither Brenda nor Jax suspected Alcazar lied, but Skye did. Jax says Skye isn't the woman he married, but Skye says Jax is a hypocrite that he just wants Brenda now that she isn't dying. Skye wants to put all their problems behind the, but Jax is being selfish and uncooperative. Jax says they're over. His bags are packed and he's ready to leave. He gets a call that Brenda's plane has crashed and he's running off to find her. 

11/14 Skye arrives to talk to Alan. She is about to tell him about the “complications” between her and Jax, but Jason calls very worried about Brenda who has a severe headache. He rushes out to see Brenda.

A maid at the Port Charles Hotel finds Alcazar tied up in a chair in his hotel room. She screams and calls the police when she sees him there all bruised up with tape on his mouth. When the police arrive, Alcazar refuses to press charges against anyone and they let it go and leave. Skye shows up to see Alcazar. He accuses her of telling Sonny where he went with Brenda and ruining the plans they made. Skye tells him that she also told Jax that Brenda isn't really dying after all and that Jax will probably tell her and rush into her arms as well. Alcazar disagrees with her and tells her that Brenda seemed more interested in Sonny on the island after the plane crash.

He observes that Brenda has made her choice, and she really doesn't have anything to worry about with Jax. Alcazar tells her she needs to come up with a way to bring Brenda back to Sonny if she plans to get Jax back. Skye pays Sonny and Carly a visit and informs them that Alcazar bribed the doctors in Switzerland to lie to Brenda about her illness and that Brenda isn't really dying after all.

Jax had arrived at Jason's place earlier after returning from the plane crash site himself. He knocked on the door for Brenda to answer. Jason had shown up and told him to stop knocking and waking up Brenda. They go inside and find a note from Brenda telling them she is going after Alcazar herself. Jason tells Jax that Brenda had a bad headache and worries that she is getting worse. Jax fills him in that Brenda isn’t dying Jason gets a bad feeling about this and looks in his gun case to find his gun missing. Jax finds Brenda at Lily’s grave and thinks she went there to kill herself. Jax tells her not to do it. Brenda tells him that she isn't going to do anything and that she doesn't want to die. Jax tells her she won't be and that she isn't going to die. Brenda looks at him quizzically. 


11/15 At Sonny's penthouse, Skye tells Carly and Sonny that Brenda is not dying! When Sonny tells Skye that Brenda still has headaches and nightmares, Skye agrees that Brenda may very well be crazy but Brenda does not suffer from her mother's inherited mental illness. Carly tells Skye point blank that Carly is wise to Skye's plan to save Skye's marriage to Jax by pitching a now well Brenda into Sonny's lap.



At Lily's grave, Jax informs an incredulous Brenda that she is not dying. Jax tells Brenda that she can now plan the rest of her life. Jax then tells Brenda that he will take her any place in the world that she wants to go, and Brenda says that what she really wants is to go home. 

Jax takes Brenda back to her cottage, which Jax has had redecorated for her. Brenda and Jax begin to kiss and Jax surprises Brenda with a romantic dinner of champagne and 'smores beside the roaring fire of the cottage.

Carly angers Skye by pointing out that Carly believes that Jax and Brenda are probably already in bed together, so Skye's little trick of trying to push Brenda in Sonny's direction is going to be too little, too late when it comes to saving Skye's marriage. Skye rushes out to see for herself.

As Jax and Brenda begin to make out in front of the roaring fire at the cottage, Skye arrives on the porch and sees them kissing through the window.

11/18 As Skye arrives at Brenda's cottage, she sees Jax and Brenda making love. After watching for a few minutes, Skye runs away, sobbing. Skye returns to the Lake House and begins downing hefty shots of Vodka. After they hit the sheets, Brenda tells Jax how happy she has suddenly become.

Later, Jax arrives at the Lake House and finds Skye snockered. Jax tells Skye that he is moving out and Skye rages at Jax for his hypocrisy, but Skye warns Jax that his love for Brenda will always be haunted by Brenda's preference for Sonny! Jax assures Skye that he will give her a generous settlement, Skye informs Jax that there will be no divorce! 

11/19 Skye advises Jax that she will not be handing him a divorce. Skye compares Jax to Adam Chandler and Edward, claiming that he wants to throw money at her to get rid of her. She tells him it will cost him a lot more than money. Jax wants to know why Skye is doing this and she tells him she's the wronged party and she is mad. She tells him she is going to make his life as miserable as he's made hers. Jax downplays his lying, and maximizes Skye's saying her lies were unforgivable. Skye says everything Jax said was a lie and he never loved her. Jax has torn her life apart and she will not rest until she returns the favor. He will not live some blissful life with Brenda while Skye draws a breath. Jax thinks Skye has no say in whether he's with Brenda or not. He places all the blame on Skye, even though he's lied to her all along about Brenda. Jax leaves and Brenda crashes Skye's home. Brenda disavows her part in Skye's marital problem. 

Skye calls Brenda a lying slut. Brenda condescends to Skye about her sobriety, and Skye tells Brenda that she's a lying, manipulative whore and a bitch. Skye tells Brenda that she will make the divorce take twice as long and twice as painful, if it's the last thing she does. Brenda claims to have faced death a few times, and claims Skye is nothing. Skye pours herself another drink but tosses it down and cries.

Jax arrives and wants to file kidnapping charges against Alcazar for taking Brenda. Taggert says Alcazar was "desperate", but his actions were not criminal. Taggert escorts Alcazar away from the scene. Jax wonders why Sonny isn't surprised about Brenda not having the disease, and Sonny tells him he knew already because Brenda told him. Sonny says that actually Skye told him first with Sonny understanding that Skye wanted Sonny to get Brenda before Jax got to her. 

11/20 Alan arrives at the Lake House and discovers Skye unconscious, surrounded by Vodka bottles and with a gash on her forehead. When Skye revives, Skye tells Alan that Skye saw Jax and Brenda in bed together at Brenda's cottage.

Later, Brenda arrived at the Lake House to gloat about her renewed affair with Skye's husband. Alan worries that Skye might have a concussion and rushes her to the Hospital. When Alan asks if Skye wants Alan to call Jax, Skye tells Alan to go ahead. However, when Alan arrives with Skye at the hospital, Jax meets them, but Skye appears to be angry that Jax showed up. Skye tells Jax about Brenda's visit, implying that Brenda came to gloat over her bedroom antics with Jax, but Jax believes that Skye's story is just a ploy for sympathy. Skye warns Jax that Jax has indulged in a romantic fantasy for four years but that fantasy will eventually disintegrate when Brenda leaves Jax for Sonny again! 

Alcazar overhears Skye and hints to Jax that Skye lured Brenda into a position to be kidnapped by Alcazar. When Skye blurts out that she did not know that Alcazar intended to kidnap Brenda, then tries to cover her tracks by asserting that no one can believe anything that Alcazar says, Skye is dismayed when she realizes that Jax is prepared to believe even Alcazar rather than Skye! Edward announces that Edward is throwing a party for Brenda and Jax at the Quartermaine Mansion and Skye is not invited! But Skye overhears Edward gloating at the return of Brenda and the resulting failure of the marriage of Edward's granddaughter to Jax. Before leaving the hospital, Alcazar runs into Jax again and Alcazar warns Jax that, if Alcazar can not have Brenda, no one will!

11/21 Brenda dresses up for her surprise from Jax. They share an intimate moment that is interrupted when Skye shows up at Brenda's cottage. She informs Jax that she has contacted her lawyer and that she is refusing to grant him a divorce and if he tries to force her to divorce him she will prolong it as long as possible. She calls Brenda a slut among other names and tells Jax that she will not allow her to be happy with Jax as long as she is around to stop the divorce. She threatens to smear Brenda's name in the press and in court if necessary. Jax tells her to leave Brenda alone but Skye tells him she won't. Brenda is hurt by her words even though she acts like she is dismissing Skye. After Skye storms out of the cottage, Jax comforts her. Brenda tells him that part of her understands how Skye feels since she used to be just like her once. Jax tells her not to blame herself for what happened. 

Jax takes Brenda to her surprise party at the Q’s..Brenda is surprised by the party but is quickly dismayed when she sees Skye and then Alcazar comes in through the kitchen entrance. He tells her that he still plans to leave Port Charles with her. She gets in his face and tells him that despite the fact that he still thinks he can get away with doing what he wants without being sent away, she won't hesitate to come after him herself. Alcazar is visibly upset and tears fall down his face. He refuses to leave right away. Monica orders him out of her house immediately. Mac tells him to leave quietly now or he will arrest him on trespassing charges. Alcazar leaves.

11/22 Jax and Brenda return to the cottage and go to bed together.

Skye and Alcazar return to his penthouse suite on the fourteenth floor of the Port Charles Hotel for a nightcap. As Skye and Alcazar talk on the terrace, Alcazar assures Skye that Brenda will not be with Jax for very long. As Alcazar suddenly kisses Skye, she lets go of her liquor glass and the glass falls fourteen floors and shatters on the pavement below. 

While Skye and Alcazar have sex, Jason silently slips unnoticed in to the command center for the surveillance cameras of the Hotel, chloroforms the night watchman, and shuts off the video camera trained on Alcazar's floor. 


Meanwhile, Brenda leaves Jax sleeping bed and slips out of the cottage alone. Jax awakens and realizes that Brenda is missing. 

As Jason prepares to leave the Port Charles Hotel, he glances up and notices that, on one of the monitors, Jason can see Brenda headed toward Alcazar's suite. Jason starts up the stairway to intercept Brenda. Meanwhile, the Ric passes in the street below Alcazar's Penthouse Suite and steps on the broken glass from Skye's liquor glass, now covered by snow. 

While Jason races up the stairs to try to prevent Brenda from entering Alcazar's penthouse, Jax enters the building through the Lobby when a celebrating couple leaves for a party. Brenda's loud knocking on Alcazar's door wakes Alcazar but not Skye. When Alcazar lets Brenda in, Alcazar tells Brenda that he will never let her be happy with anyone else. 

Luis promises that either Alcazar will kill Jax or Jax will go to prison for killing Alcazar but, either way, Brenda will lose! When Alcazar tries to kiss Brenda, she struggles with him and loses her bracelet in the struggle. Then she runs out the door. But, as Brenda bumps into a dinner cart in the hallway, she discovers a steak knife, and picks it up, staring at it. 

Skye is wakened by the sound of Luis and Brenda arguing in the next room, and woozily tries to get out of bed and struggles toward the door. In the meantime, Jason and Jax both rush up different flights of stairs in an effort to intercept Brenda before Brenda gets to Luis. Alcazar goes out on the balcony, then turns when he hears someone behind him. Alcazar recognizes the person who is moving toward the balcony and asks in an irritated tone of voice: "Now what?" 

In the next moment, Alcazar free falls fourteen floors, hurtling onto the hood of a car below. 

11/25 As Brenda flees, Jason finds her in the hallway and demands to know if Alcazar is dead and Brenda admits that she did hurt the arms dealer. Jason hustles Brenda out of the building. At the same time, Jax stares down from Alcazar's balcony and sees Alcazar's body, sprawled on the hood of a car fourteen stories below. As Jax leaves, he spots Brenda's bracelet and pockets it. Skye leaves Alcazar's bedroom, hastily gathers up her belongings and totters toward the apartment door, to flee the penthouse. Down below, Alexis spots Alcazar's lifeless body and begins to scream. 

Jax returns to the cottage and, when he realizes that Brenda is not there, he also switches on the news and hears about Alcazar's death.

Jax is surprised when Skye suddenly arrives at the cottage and demands to see Brenda. When Jax claims that Brenda is asleep, Skye suspiciously suggests that it is hard to swallow that Brenda would be in bed while Jax is standing in the living room, fully dressed and still wearing his coat. Skye announces that Luis Alcazar is dead and Skye knows that it was Brenda who killed Alcazar.

Back at the cottage, as Skye guesses that Brenda is not home, Skye accuses Jax of lying to protect Brenda and warns Jax that Jax will have a long wait when his mistress goes to prison for murdering Alcazar. After Skye leaves, Jax looks again at Brenda's bracelet. Later, Brenda slips quietly back into the cottage and back in to bed with Jax, who pretends to still be asleep. 



11/26 Taggert and Scott effect an arrest of Jason at Kelly’s, with Courtney questioning "why?." Jason will not say he didn't kill Alcazar. Jason says he isn't going to say anything without a lawyer. Taggert claims to have the evidence to put Jason away. Skye is outside watching Jason being taken away, when AJ comes out and tells Skye that Jason was arrested for Alcazar's murder. AJ tells Skye he saw her in the back seat of Alcazar's limo. Skye wants to know if anyone else knows. Skye says she wanted to know what Alcazar's plans were and says she passed out and she doesn't remember much.  She doesn't think she killed him. AJ thinks Jason did, since Jason was masquerading as the limo driver. AJ wants Skye to tell the police that she saw Jason kill Alcazar. AJ needles Skye into framing Jason claiming she saw things she didn't see.

Jax and Brenda wake up and kiss. Brenda rambles on about feeling safe with Jax and giggles some more. Jax claims that Brenda is his life and that he forced himself to feel happy without her. He announces that he is going to take her to Fiji tonight, but Brenda doesn't want to go. She questions that he wants to run away and asks him if he knows that Alcazar is dead. Jax confronts Brenda with her bracelet that he found at the murder scene. Brenda makes excuses about warning Alcazar that he would die. 

Jax wants to know if she hurt him? She lies and says "no" although she told Sonny "yes" yesterday. Jax makes arrangements for them to run away. Brenda questions why Jax was at Alcazar's room, and Jax questions Brenda's involvement in Alcazar's death. Nobody trusts anyone else here in this newly former adulterous relationship. Brenda says running away will make them look guilty, but Jax wants to run away citing that Brenda did live with Alcazar for four years, but she agrees to go anyway.

Skye arrives and tells Taggert that she was in Alcazar's bedroom the night he was murdered. Skye says she knows who the murdered is. Scott tells Sonny that Jason is going to jail for a crime Sonny ordered, and Sonny tells Scott Jason is going nowhere. Taggert tells Scott that Skye witnessed the murder. Scott says "you saw Jason Morgan do it", and Skye says Jason's wife (Brenda) did it, not Jason. 

11/27 At the cottage, as Jax and Brenda get ready to go to Fiji, Jax announces that he has to swing past his broker's office first, so they will have money to take on their trip. After Jax leaves, Brenda gets a look at the morning newspaper and realizes that Jason has been arrested for Alcazar's murder.  Later, Jax waits anxiously at the airport for an absent Brenda. 

12/2 As Jax waits impatiently at the airport for Brenda, a uniformed police officer arrives and informs Jax that he is wanted at the District Attorney's office for questioning about the death of Luis Alcazar. At the same time, at the Port Charles Police Department, Scott tells Brenda that she can plead self-defense if she will just say that, after Brenda killed Alcazar, Jason arrived on the scene and would not let her call 911!

Jax informs Baldwin that Jax was with Brenda at the cottage all night the night of Alcazar's death. But Scott informs Jax that both forensics and an eye-witness can put Brenda inside Alcazar's Penthouse on the night of the arms dealer's death. Jax is shocked to learn that Skye is Scott's eye-witness! 

Jax returns to the Lake House and orders Skye to retract her statement to the police which incriminates Brenda. Skye replies, "No way in hell!' 

12/3 Jax tells Skye to tell the police she lied about Brenda killing Alcazar. Skye says she won't, that she saw Brenda kill Alcazar because she was in Al's bedroom hey had just had sex. Skye tells Jax she peeked out the bedroom door and saw Brenda lunge at Alcazar with a knife cutting his hand, then they moved out to the balcony where Brenda killed him. Jax tries unsuccessfully to convince Skye that she was in a drunken state and he testimony isn't credible, but Skye doesn't buy it. Jax threatens to stop Skye anyway he can, but he's interrupted by AJ showing up. 

Jax leaves and gets a call from Brenda, who wants him to promise her he won't come to the PCPD. Brenda has to remind Jax that they're both married to other people. Jax tells her that Skye is the one who told the police Brenda killed Al. AJ says he knows that Skye lied to the police, and so do the police. AJ says he suspects Skye slept with Alcazar because they have forensic evidence. She says she did, to get back at Jax. AJ says that Skye needs to stick to the story she told the police, and they'll get the revenge against Jason and Brenda that they've been waiting for. Jason barges in and accuses Skye of lying. He accuses Skye of killing Alcazar. 

12/4 Jason arrives at the Lake House and informs Skye that he believes that it was Skye who killed Alcazar. If Skye had just said nothing, no one would have had to take the fall for Alcazar's death. When Skye refuses to change the testimony she has given to the police, Jason reminds Skye that Sonny has the resources to manufacture any kind of evidence Sonny wants, including evidence that would implicate Skye. Reminding his sister that she means nothing to him, Jason warns Skye that Sonny could even produce eye-witnesses who would swear that they saw Skey shove Alcazar off the balcony.

Unnerved by Jason's visit, Skye arrives at PCPD and admits to Scott that she just remembered that she had had sex with Alcazar on the night that he died - and Skye tries to cover by telling Scott that, sometimes, when Skye drinks too much - she forgets some things and does not remember them until much later. Scott assures Skye that the issue of Alcazar's bedroom gymnastics will never come up in court. 

When Skye worries about Sonny and/or Jason manufacturing evidence to implicate Skye, Scott reminds his nervous witness that two can play at that game! When Skye worries about reports that have already been made which document Alcazar's sexual experience, Scott reminds Skye that documents turn up missing at the PCPD all the time, even important documents! As Skye leaves the PCPD, she runs in to Brenda, in prison denim and headed to lock-up. Skye smugly informs Brenda that Brenda will be going to prison for life. But, after Skye leaves, Brenda says, "I'll see about that!' 

12/5 Jax shows up at PCPD. Brenda asks him not to do anything and let Jason handle this since he is good at it. Jax talks to the lawyer he hired for Brenda. The lawyer feels that they should plea bargain the case since all the evidence points to Brenda. Jax refuses to let him do that. Jax goes to Scott and confesses to killing Alcazar himself after Scott insists on using Skye's false statement against Brenda.

Taggert gives Scott an update on what the police found at the hotel. Taggert tells him that the police have a video tape of Jax entering the 14th floor of the hotel at the time of the murder as well. Scott takes the tape and pretends that he is going to take a look at it later. Taggert feels that they can't ignore Jax as a suspect now but Scott dismisses it anyway and pockets the tape without watching it.

12/6 Back at the Port Charles Police Department, Scott is annoyed when Jax suddenly confesses that he is the one who killed Alcazar and Taggert reports to Scott that the police forensics team found Jax's fingerprints on the balcony railing of Alcazar's Penthouse suite. Jax tells Scott that Jax confronted Alcazar and Alcazar gloated that Alcazar would have Brenda back and would amuse himself with Jax's wife in the meantime. 

Jax also tells Scott that Alcazar told Jax that Jax's wife was in the next room and that they had just hit the sheets together. Jax says that he and Alcazar fought and Alcazar fell over the railing, then Jax left. Scott suspiciously asks WHY Jax did NOT get his wife out of there if Jax KNEW that Skye was in the arms dealer's bedroom and that Alcazar had just died. But Jax merely shrugs and admits that it was NOT one of his finer moments. 

Meanwhile in another room, Skye tells Mac that Skye saw Brenda push Alcazar off the terrace. However, Mac suspiciously asks if Skye has ever blacked out when she is drinking heavily and if it might be possible that she blacked out that night, but Skye insists that she did not black out, but admits that she did pass out. 

Taggert confides to Scott that the police detective feels confident that Jax did kill Alcazar, but Scott orders Jax released, telling Taggert that Scott wants Taggert to put his men to work proving that Jax did not kill Alcazar and is only confessing to take the heat off of Brenda. Scott tells Taggert to have Jax locked up while they investigate his story. 

As Skye sees that Jax is being locked up, she bursts out of Mac's office. When Skye learns that Jax has confessed to Alcazar's murder, she tearfully announces to Scott that Jax is lying to protect Brenda. Skye begs Jax to change his statement and save himself from a life in prison and Skye begs Scott not to believe a word of Jax's 'confession.' Scott assures Skye that Scott knows that Jax is lying, but Skye continues to go to pieces. AJ overhears most of Skye's outburst and finally gets his sister to take a walk with him outside so she can pull herself together.

Outside, Skye confides to AJ that she is stunned that Jax would go so far as to lie and confess to a crime he did not commit, just in order to protect Brenda - a woman who has frequently thrown Jax over for other men! AJ reminds Skye that Scott did say that Scott also believes that Jax is lying, and AJ warns his sister that she can not keep falling apart like that or Jax will end up in prison for life! When AJ suggests they take in an A.A. meeting together, Skye wails that that will not help her and Skye refuses AJ's offer of help and storms away from the PCPD. 

Back at the PCPD, when Jax informs Brenda that she is being released because Jax has confessed to killing Alcazar, Scott is listening in, hoping that Jax will confide to his wife that he did not kill Alcazar but invented the story in order to have Brenda released. Even as Taggert voices his disapproval of the fact that Scott is illegally listening in to Brenda and Jax's conversation, Scott is disappointed when Jax tells Brenda that Jax did kill Alcazar, just as Brenda had suspected earlier.

Scott goes ahead and orders Taggert to read Jax his rights and have Jax arrested for Alcazar's murder. When Scott returns to his office, he is surprised to find Ric, sitting in the District Attorney's chair! 

After leaving the PCPD, Skye lurches through traffic, crying and still taking swigs from the flask beside her until she suddenly hears a thump and notices a body on the hood of her car! 

12/9 As Skye looks at the man she just hit with her car, she realizes she hit Nikolas Cassadine. Coleman comes out of the shadows and tells Skye that he witnessed the accident. When Coleman goes to look for Skye's cell phone to call 911, he notices the open liquor bottle on the seat and Coleman realizes that Skye is drunk. When the paramedics and police arrive, Coleman surprises Skye when Coleman claims that he was driving! When the police discover that the car belongs to Skye, Coleman chimes in and explains that he owns Jake's. Skye had a few too many to drink and, because Coleman did not want to get in trouble for serving an inebriated customer, Coleman had decided to drive Skye home, when Nikolas suddenly stepped out in front of their car. 

At the hospital, Skye arrives to visit Nikolas and hands Coleman a wad of cash and tells him that she will be happy to never see him again. Skye visits Nikolas and apologizes for the accident, but Nikolas tells her not to beat herself up about it. When Skye leaves Nikolas's room, she is astonished to find Coleman waiting for her, Coleman offers to drive her home, but Skye turns down Coleman's offer. Coleman hands her wad of cash back to Skye and Coleman informs Skye that she owes him a hell of a lot more than thanks and that he plans to collect! 

12/10 Skye awakes to the TV news announcing that Jax confessed to Alcazar's murder last nigh, and how Brenda will be released. Skye hears a knock at the door and Coleman is there to collect for last night. Skye says she appreciates what he did, but that she's busy. Skye wants to know if this is some kind of shakedown. Skye doesn't buy the blackmail attempt saying that there was no sobriety test and he's already given a statement to the police. He lets Skye know that she isn't Courtney, and she isn't falling for his stuff. She isn't going to strip like Courtney did. Coleman tells Skye that AJ was behind the stalking of Courtney. 

There's a knock at the door, and Coleman tells Skye to get rid of whoever it is. Coleman hides in the back. AJ's at the door playing doomsayer. AJ keeps ragging on her about the Alcazar murder and tries to get rid of AJ, but he keeps hanging around. Skye says her statement to the police about Brenda killing Alcazar was completely honest. AJ goes off on a tangent of Jason being responsible for all of his woes, and is eager for Skye to change her story to say that Jason did it. After AJ leaves, Coleman comes out of hiding and tells Skye DUI is the least of her problems, that she killed Alcazar. Coleman threatens to go to the PCPD and report what AJ said. He wants to know what Skye thinks when she looks at him, and she replies "trash." Coleman says he's looking to move up and wants connections that Skye will provide. 

Jax is put in the interrogation room with Brenda who hasn't been released yet. Jax is adamant that he's going to claim liability for the murder. Brenda tells Jax he's ruining everything by confessing. Jax is insistent on playing unneeded knight in tarnished armor just to be involved with Brenda. Jax insists that they do things "his way" no matter what Brenda thinks. She walks out of the questioning room and over to Jason. She starts to interrogate him. For some reason, Jason and Brenda have to stay married until the Alcazar fiasco is over. Scott approaches them and does his usual "everyone is going to jail" speech. As Jason and Brenda leave the hospital, reporters accost them. A reporter asks Brenda if she can ever be faithful to one man. Good question.

Alexis arrives and insinuates herself into Jax's situation. Taggert mocks Scott about not being able to hear what's going on in the questioning room anymore. Taggert tells Scott he needs to locate the Jax confession tape before it "disappears" and someone accuses Scott of suppressing evidence.  Alexis nags Jax about confessing to a crime that he didn't commit just to cover Brenda's crime. She is adamant about representing him. Jax acquiesces. Scott says he can't find the confession tape, and Taggert tells him to try harder. Alexis comes out and announces she's Jax's attorney. Scott claims the tape was stolen. Jax has another visitor, its Skye. She says she hates seeing Jax like this and wants to get him out of jail. 

12/12 Felicia goes to visit Skye and ask her about the night of Alcazar's murder. Skye insists she is telling the truth about seeing Brenda stab Alcazar with a knife and then go out to the balcony with him. Felicia tells her that it is difficult to believe that Brenda was strong enough to throw Alcazar off the balcony without him trying to stop her from hurting him further. Skye blames Brenda for Jax's predicament and that he is only confessing to save Brenda. 

AJ shows up and interrupts their visit. AJ asks Felicia what she wants with Skye and accuses her of coming over to try to trip Skye up and get her to say something incriminating. Felicia denies it is about Skye and leaves them alone. After she leaves, AJ lights into Skye for making bad decisions concerning talking to the police any further. Skye insists she is only trying to help Jax and get Brenda arrested. AJ advises her to stop drinking and tries to persuade her not to show up at Jax's hearing. Skye refuses to listen so AJ drives her there to keep an eye on her. 

While this is going on, Alexis advises Jax not to say a word at his hearing, especially not to plead guilty to Alcazar's murder and just let her do the talking. Jax agrees to listen and not say a word. Scott tells Alexis that she has nothing to worry about concerning Jax since he is on her side this time and is after Sonny. Before the hearing starts, Skye and AJ show up. Alexis asks her to leave the courtroom immediately. Skye informs her it is a public hearing and she can't make her leave. Alexis tells her that if she starts anything she will throw her out of there. AJ tells Alexis that he will make sure Skye doesn't do anything to harm Jax's case. Skye approaches Jax and pleads with him not to plead guilty and that Brenda doesn't deserve it and that she is probably with Sonny right now. 

Alexis presents her case to why Jax should be given bail. Scott doesn't object to bail and the judge asks Jax to promise not to leave town on his own jet. Taggert barges into the courtroom and interrupts the ceremony. He tells the judge that he just got in his possession a video surveillance tape showing Jax at the hotel around the time of the murder. The judge questions where the tape came from and why it wasn't in evidence sooner. Taggert and Scott do a lot of backpedaling without placing blame or naming Sonny as the source. The judge doesn't like what they have been up to and warns them not to do this again. He denies bail to Jax because of it. Skye yells out that Jax is being set up and he didn't kill anyone. Alexis tells her never to do that again since she caused Jax to lose out on bail as well.

12/13 At the Lake House, AJ tells Skye that he has a plan to get Jason and Brenda out of their hair for good, but, if the plan backfires, one or both of them could land in prison. Brenda tells AJ that she is willing to risk anything to get Brenda out of her life. Unfortunately, as AJ outlines his plan to Skye, Coleman arrives and listens in on the conspirators. When AJ leaves the Lake House, Skye hears a noise outside and Coleman enters, gleefully announcing that he has been listening in to AJ and Skye as they conspired, and Coleman heard every detail of AJ's plan to get Jason and Brenda out of their hair. Skye pulls her skeet gun on Coleman, but Coleman arrogantly dares her to go ahead and shoot. As Skye and Coleman argue about her ability to pull the trigger, they suddenly end up kissing and soon hit the sheets. 

Jax and Alexis meet with Scott and a lie detector expert. Even though Alexis registers her objections, Scott challenges Jax to prove that he really is telling the truth about killing Alcazar by taking a lie detector test. Just as Brenda arrives and insists in sitting in on the session, Scott asks Jax if he loves Brenda more than anyone else in his life and Jax truthfully answers yes. However, as Brenda, Alexis and Scott look on in horror, the lie detector also indicates that Jax is telling the truth when Jax reaffirms his statement that he did kill Luis Alcazar. 


Back at the Lake House, as Coleman gets dressed and gets ready to leave, he reminds Skye that AJ has a poor grasp of details and their conspiracy for getting Brenda and Jason out of their lives is doomed from the start to backfire on them. As Skye defends her brother as the only person in her life that she has found that she can depend on, Coleman tells Skye: "You are a BAD girl, Skye. You do bad things. And what you need is a partner who is your equal!' 

SKYE: "You are repulsive!' 
COLEMAN: "That is what they all say, at first!' 

Before Coleman leaves, Skye gets a call from Scott and leaves herself. Coleman decides to stay a while and makes himself comfortable. AJ is shocked when AJ returns to the Lake House and finds Coleman stretched out on Skye's couch, making himself right at home!

Meanwhile back at the PCPD, Jax, Brenda and Alexis are surprised when Scott announces that he is taking them on a little field trip. They are even more surprised when Scott takes them to Alcazar's Penthouse, where Mac is waiting with a film crew. Scott informs his 'guests' that they are going to re-enact everything that happened the night that Alcazar fell to his death. Even though Alexis again objects, Jax agrees to go along with Scott's re-enactment. But, first, Scott asks Brenda to show Scott how she slashed Alcazar's hand, with Scott playing the part of Alcazar. So Brenda goes through the motions and shows Scott how she cut Alcazar's hand with the knife. 

When Mac asks Brenda when she and Alcazar went out on the balcony, Brenda denies that she went out on the balcony, that she merely threw the knife down and ran away again. As Scott questions why Brenda would be willing to just run away if she hated Alcazar so much a few minutes before that she had just tried to stab him, Skye suddenly bursts out of the bedroom and calls Brenda a liar, and reminding Brenda that Skye was there and saw 'everything!' Jax insists that he was the one who shoved Alcazar off the balcony. So Scott asks Jax to show Scott how Jax and Alcazar struggled, with Scott again playing the part of Alcazar. 

But, as Jax shows Scott how he struggled with Alcazar and then threw the arms dealer off the balcony, Scott shows Jax a splotch of blood on Jax's shirt and confides to his guests that Scott had Taggert pick up some movie blood, which Scott put on his hand when Brenda showed Scott how Brenda cut Alcazar's hand. Scott points out that if Jax really had struggled with Alcazar in the way that Jax demonstrated to Scott and the assembled camera crew, then Jax would have had blood on his clothes the night that Alcazar died. But, since the police found no blood on any of Jax's clothes when they searched the cottage, Jax could not have struggled with Alcazar the way that Jax just claimed he had!

12/16 After Scott successfully proves that Jax could not have killed Alcazar the way Jax had described it, Brenda is shocked when Scott orders Jax arrested again for obstruction of justice. AJ finds Skye at the courthouse and tells her that he knows that Coleman is wise to their plan for Jason. Skye says that she believes they will have to scrap their plan now that Coleman has learned about it, but AJ urges Skye to go ahead with the plan and suggests that, if Coleman can be useful, they should both be willing to use him.

  Jax is released on bail but Alexis warns Jax that Brenda might end up costing him more than he has to give and Skye seconds Alexis's opinion. But Jax tells Skye that it does not matter how much he loses, because he loves Brenda. Skye insists to Jax that Skye's statement to the police is true, so Brenda will go to prison because Brenda did kill Alcazar. Jax returns to the cottage and is thrilled to see Brenda waiting there for him while Skye sits alone in the courtroom and cries.

12/19 Jax & Skye scenes together only. Skye asks Jax for a truce but he coldly rebuffs her.

12/20 The tree lighting at the Quartermaine Mansion as the family gathers. Skye braces when Jax and Brenda arrive together and it is obvious the Q’s love and adore her as an extended family member. Alexis fills Jax in on a witness coming forward to say they saw Brenda kill Alcazar. Jax and Brenda make plans for a quick getaway. Skye drowns her sorrows and escapes into alcohol. Alan asks her privately why she is there when she knew Jax and Brenda would come together, and why put herself through this. Jason suddenly arrives and demands to speak with his wife. But Monica interrupts, insisting that Jason take time to greet his grandmother. 

When the tree is lighted, a short causes the electricity go off. Just at that moment, Mac arrives with a squad of uniformed police officers and announces that he is there to arrest Brenda for murder. But Brenda and Jax slip away in the dark.

12/30 Skye is devastated when she receives divorce papers from Jax.
