Karen & Jagger #4 April 28 - July 23, 1993 - 8 hour original edit DVD #4A After Rhonda leaves, Karen tells Jagger that her mom has no clue what a real relationship is about as all Rhonda has ever dated is losers. Jagger says that if Rhonda has never really been in love, the good kind, that she can’t understand. He suggests maybe Rhonda has just been trying to make “bad love” work, and maybe she is just jealous of Karen’s relationship with Jagger as she has never had it. Karen thinks Jagger is on Rhonda’s side as he is trying to defend her. Jagger tell her that she is lucky to have someone who loves her. He tells her that once she loses that, she can never get it back. Karen is distracted and Jagger is curious where her mind is. She tells him her and her mom argued last night. Jagger sees how down she is and tries to cheer her up. He asks her to close her eyes and think back to a time when she liked her mom, a happy memory. Karen says that they didn’t have a lot of money when she was a kid but her mom always made sure she had a new outfit for the first day of school. Jagger tries to persuade Karen to talk with Rhonda. Karen and Jagger find Rhonda beat up in the apartment. 4/29
Karen and Jagger bring Rhonda to GH. She claims she fell down the stairs. Alan
treats her and tries to get details about her injuries and how she fell. Karen
presses Rhonda to tell the truth about being beaten by her boyfriend, Frank. 5/6 Brenda joins Karen and Robin in the school cafeteria. Brenda goads Karen who doesn’t rise to the bait. She then comments are her mom getting beaten up by her boyfriend and suggests that Rhonda not pick up men in bowling alley’s any longer. Karen tosses her yogurt at her as she leaves. Karen feels bad and confesses to Jagger. He advises her that Brenda is just looking for her weak spot. Karen is annoyed that she allowed herself to sink to Brenda’s level. Jagger advises her to just ignore Brenda. Frank comes into the gym and Jagger confronts him. Jagger calls him a coward for beating up Rhonda. Marco tries to intervene, but Frank tries to punch Jagger but he dodges the punch and really lets him have it. When
Frank is knocked down, Jagger tells him that is for beating up Rhonda. Marco
sees Jagger’s boxing skills and demands that he sign up for an upcoming
tournament. Marco tells Karen this is why he doesn’t want her in the gym, that
it isn’t a safe place for girls. Marco goes over to Jagger and tells him that
Frank is not only a real fighter but in a higher weight class than Jagger would
be and he is very impressed with him. Marco tells him that he put Jagger’s
name on the list for him, he is excited as he sees that Jagger is going to make
him some money! 5/12 Jagger learns his brother, Michael, has run away from his foster home. His sister Gina's adoptive parents do not want Jagger to have any contact with her. Jagger begs the judge to give him Gina’s address so he can talk to her, or her parents and present his case. The judge sadly tells him that he has done all he can. Jagger meets up with Karen and fills her in on his disappointment. 5/18 Jagger is worried that Mike is alone on the streets. Jagger goes to the judge’s office, and gets caught rifling through the judge's desk trying to find his sister's address. Karen determines that she will help Jagger find Gina. She comes up with the idea to check the schools in the area for Gina. She promises him that they will find Gina. 5/20 Paul is upset that Jagger broke into the judge's office and tells him he is lucky the judge didn’t throw him in jail. Paul thinks Jagger should petition the family court to make Gina's adoptive parents tell him what they know. Paul tries to convince him to go through the system. Jagger is discouraged and can’t wait for the system to help him, he doesn’t have that kind of time. Karen has another flashback of her childhood. Brenda announces to Karen and Jagger that Jason is taking her to the Prom. She asks aren’t they going? Jagger steps up and says yes they are going to Prom together. Brenda makes a crack about them showing up on his motorcycle, and Karen having bugs in her teeth. After Brenda leaves, Jagger asks Karen why she didn’t mention it? She says it just seemed trivial with everything going on but does admit she wants to go. Karen and Jagger decide to go to the prom. 5/26 Karen and Jagger search for Mike, showing his picture to people on the streets and asking if anyone has seen him. He gives a couple of homeless teens some money. Karen realizes he understands what life on the street is like, how hard it is and why he is so desperate to find his brother. They see Alan and Rhonda together. 5/27
Jagger asks for more time off from Kelly’s to continue searching for his
brother. Rhonda makes sure Karen knows that Alan and her are just friends. Karen
explains why it is important for Jagger to find his brother and sister. Jagger
checks with schools for his siblings. He finds out Gina is in a private school.
He manages to steal the keys to principal's file cabinet. 6/4 Jagger tells Karen he found out Gina's last name and what school she goes to. Karen is surprised that they gave him the info. He says that no one gave it to him, he showed it to himself. He doesn’t mention Brenda’s part in it. Jagger tells Ruby about his excitement over finding his sister, cute flashbacks. 6/7 Brenda overhears Karen proudly telling Ruby how Jagger found his sister all on his own. Brenda gloats to Karen about helping Jagger find his sister. Karen doesn’t believe her so Brenda tells Karen all about her and Jagger breaking into the principal's office to get his sister's records, including them hiding in the closet together. Before Brenda leaves to go prom dress shopping, she tells Karen not to worry about it that eventually she is sure that Jagger will tell her the truth. Jagger finds Gina at her private school. Gina tells Jagger it is too late, too much time has passed and she has a real family now. Gina tells Jagger it has been five years and a lot has changed, she has a real family now. She tells him that Mike stole from her family and she doesn’t want anything to do with him. Jagger asks her to tell Mike where Jagger is if she sees him. She tries to tell him that Mike has changed, that Jagger doesn’t know. Jagger gives her a bag full of birthday and Christmas presents from the last five years. She says she can’t take them, she doesn’t want to have to tell her parents about Jagger. She tells him that she goes by “Regina” now. He doesn’t understand as she never liked anyone calling her by that name. She tells him that it is better this way and admits that it was her decision for him not to contact her, not her parents. Karen confronts Jagger about not telling her about Brenda helping him. He tells her about Gina wanting nothing to do with him. Robin meets musician Val Duncan and listens as he plays. 6/10 Rhonda finishes making Karen's prom dress. She bought an expensive pattern, hoping no one will notice that it was home made. A grateful Karen gives her a kiss of appreciation and tells her she doesn’t care if they do know. Rhonda insists to Karen that she and Alan are just friends. Rhonda is horrified to learn that Jagger is taking Karen to the prom on his motorcycle. At Kelly’s, Jagger asks Robin to save him a dance. Brenda suggestively asks if he will save one for her? Robin heads out and Jagger tells her he has a problem with her, that she just couldn’t wait to tell Karen all about her helping him find Gina. She can’t believe he is acting this way, that he would never have gotten into the computer without her help. She realizes by his bad attitude that the reunion didn’t work out. Karen and Jagger enjoy some alone time together. She sees the bag of presents he had for Gina. Karen tries to assure him to just give her time, that she will come around. He believes Gina has changed, maybe it is her new parents that changed her. He decides to focus on finding Mike, as he knows he is out there somewhere. Karen gives him a back rub, and then suggestively asks him to take off his shirt and she continues to give him a massage. They begin kissing and she has another flashback of her childhood and it ruins the moment with Jagger. She jumps up and pulls away. 6/11 Brenda strolls into Kelly’s before the prom. Jagger comments that the girl’s take half a day to get ready and wonders what she is doing there. She notices he is carrying his tux, and says, “Its too bad your going with the wrong girl.” Karen comes out all ready and her mom raves about how beautiful she looks. Jagger picks up Karen for the prom and tells her she looks better than gorgeous. She tells him that he is also looking gorgeous (he is wearing a white tux jacket). The PC High Senior Prom is underway, Jason, Brenda, Darren and Robin stand in the doorway watching all the action as Val’s band plays and students dance. Jagger and Karen roll up on his motorcycle, not a hair out of place. Brenda makes snarky comments about how sweet Karen’s dress is, and asks if her mom made it? Karen tells her they should just ignore each other that night. Each couple takes their picture: Darren & Robin, Jagger & Karen, Jason & Brenda. Jagger comes up and Robin asks Jagger if he likes her date, Darren? Karen tells Jagger about numerous after parties. He tells her it is her night and they can do whatever they want. She isn’t really interested in going to the parties as they are all Jason’s friends. In the bathroom, Karen accuses Brenda of sleeping around. Brenda says she has only slept with one guy, Jagger! An upset Robin comes in and tells her friends about Darren’s girlfriend showing up. 6/14 Val asks Jason what happened to Robin’s date, he saw him leave with another girl. Jagger is upset to learn that Jason knew about this and didn’t tell Robin. Val stops them before they come to blows and asks if they really want Robin to come out and see them fighting, that would really give her a night to remember. Val comes in the bathroom and asks to talk to Robin. Karen and Brenda rejoin Jason and Jagger who are still arguing over the Robin situation. Jason says he has to live with the decision he made not to tell Robin about her date’s girlfriend. Karen can’t believe that Darren dumped her like that. This sets Jason off, who demands to know, “Like what Karen? Like in front of all of her friends in the middle of a dance? I thought you of all people could understand exactly where Darren was coming from.” He is alluding to the Valentine’s dance when Jagger showed up and Karen took off with him, leaving Jason alone. Karen apologizes once again to Jason, though Jagger tells Jason he is really getting on his nerves by bringing that up again. Brenda intervenes and drags Jason off to dance. Val
calls out for the dance couples to change partners. She of course quickly lets
go of Jason to grab Jagger. Karen winds up with Jason and tells him he doesn’t
have to dance with her, but he is a gentleman and dances with her. They both
stare at Jagger and Brenda dancing together the entire time. Val takes a break
from performing to dance with Robin. Karen suggestively tells Jagger that she
wants to go back to his room. He gets a happy look on his face. He asks her if
she is really ready? She says she can’t think of a more perfect night for them
to make love. They continue kissing and start undressing each other.
Unfortunately, she can't block out her childhood memories. She suddenly pulls
away from him and says, “Please don’t”. 6/17 Jagger gets ready for the boxing tournament but his mind seems to be somewhere else. Marco tries to get Jagger to focus, he figures he is having woman problems. Marco wants his concentration on the fight and nothing else. Jason, AJ, and Brenda all show up to watch the fight. Karen avoids Jagger to not have to talk about what happened between them and doesn’t go to his fight. Brenda stands ring side and gives him a pep talk. Jagger wins his amateur night middle weight fight. 6/18 Jagger catches up to Karen on the dock and wants to talk about what is bothering Karen. Karen tells him that she can’t explain. He is very understanding and offers to take her home. Back at Kelly’s, she blows him off. He knows something is wrong but she just can’t talk to him about it. Karen can't shake her memory from her childhood. At home, she cries, wondering what is wrong with her. Downstairs, Brenda compliments Jagger on his success in the fight. Brenda tells Jagger that she wants her own place. She teases him that she can move in next door to him, or maybe they can share a room? She does get him to laugh. DVD #4B 6/21 Karen keeps Jagger at a distance with preparations for her graduation. Ruby asks Jagger how he and Karen feel about Brenda living at Kelly’s. Jagger says it is okay with him, that Brenda doesn’t get to him. After he leaves, Ruby tells Karen that Jagger is in a lot of pain and so is she. Karen thinks it is too late for them. Karen cries and tells her that it is too hard for her to talk about. She fills Ruby in on what didn’t happen. Ruby tells Karen that Brenda has a modeling job. Karen snarks, “For what? Rat poison?” Lucy asks Jagger to help her convince Marco to use the gym for Brenda's test shots for Deceptions. Lucy persuades Jagger to be Brenda's sparring partner for the photo shoot. Karen apologizes to Jagger for blowing him off. Lucy and Brenda review the photos at Kelly’s. Brenda gloats to Karen about Jagger being in the gym photo shoot with her. Karen
has a strange reaction when Rhonda's old boyfriend, Ray Conway, show up in
Kelly's. He says that he may decide to move back to PC. She seems quiet and
nervous but passes it off on her upcoming graduation. 7/1 AJ and Jagger taunt each other at the gym. With Ray hanging around, Karen is not wild about Rhonda being out of town for a long time. Karen wants to know why Rhonda feels that she can trust Ray so much? 7/6 Brenda tells the Q boys that Rhonda probably came on to Alan at a vulnerable moment but Jake’s Bar is very public and that people may have seen them together. Karen wants to make Jagger dinner. Karen overhears Gail and Bobbie talking about a support group and she asks Gail about the group. Brenda and Jagger read in the paper about a teenage boy who overdosed in an alley. Jagger is worried it may have been Mike. Jagger checks with the morgue at GH and learns that it is not Mike that was found dead. Brenda fills Karen in on Alan and Rhonda. 7/7 Jagger wants to know what happened to Karen last night? She plays dumb, he reminds her that they had a date and she didn’t show. He says he called her but she didn’t answer. She covers by saying that she took a shower. He says it must have been an all night shower as he called her a million times. Jagger tells her that he knows what happened to her when she was a kid. Karen looks shocked. He says thinks that Ray probably reminds her of when she was a kid and her mom’s drinking. Jagger assures her things are different now, that they are together. Alan comes into Kelly’s. He asks if she has heard from her mother? She gets snippy with him and he tries to explain to Karen that he and her mother are only friends. He promises her that he would never do anything to embarrass her. AJ comes in and asks if Alan is getting a little something to go with his coffee. Alan insists that if AJ doesn’t respect him, that Karen deserves respect. AJ insults Karen and makes a comment, daughter like mother. Alan leaves and AJ continues his nastiness towards Karen. He makes insinuations that maybe Alan would like a mother/daughter thing. Jagger tosses him out of Kelly’s. They get into a physical fight until Karen breaks it up. After AJ leaves, Karen demands to know why Jagger did this? He said because he heard what AJ was saying to her. She cries that she doesn’t deserve to have Jagger stand up for her like that. 7/8 Jagger and AJ give each other the evil eye at the gym. When Marco sees them bruised up, he demands to know what happened? Marco tells them the fight is off, as the doctor won’t okay it. He tells them they both have to forfeit. Marco tells them they are idiots. Jagger has a cut over his eye, if he gets hit there, blood will get in his eye. Marco points to AJ’s rib and says that is probably broken. After AJ leaves, Marco asks him why he couldn’t have waited till tonight to get his shot at AJ. Marco insists that Jagger has to stay focused and take care of business. He tells Jagger that he was so stupid. Monica
hears AJ harassing Karen and learns about his fight with Jagger. Jason
hits a nerve with Karen when he calls her a whore like her mother. Jagger
settles her down but she later tells him that she does not want his help. Karen
has another flashback of how Ray abused her as a child. When he shows up at the
apartment she confronts him and he of course pleads innocent. 7/13
Karen has a nightmare about Ray. Jagger is worried when Karen is late for work.
Felicia shows up for her workout at the boxing gym. Marco succeeds in getting
her to leave but she vows that it will not be the last he has heard from her.
Brenda tries to help Jagger but he just wants his space. Ray shows up in Karen's
bedroom. 7/19 Jagger tells Ruby that he and Karen are finished. Ruby and Jagger try and convince Sly to go home but he does not want to face his dad. Jagger agrees to let Sly stay with him just until he works things out with his dad. 7/20 Marco lines up a fight for Jagger. Brenda shows up at Jagger's fight despite Marco telling her not to as she would be a distraction. Brenda offers Jagger a ride back to PC after the fight. Brenda's car breaks down stranding her and Jagger in the middle of nowhere. 7/21Jagger
and Brenda wake up after having been forced to sleep in Brenda's car after it
broke down. Karen has a pang of jealousy when she sees Brenda and Jagger return
to Kelly’s together. Jagger tells Sly that although he and his dad
fight, he is still very lucky to have him. Ruby can sense the tension between
Jagger and Karen. Jagger asks Ruby to schedule them at different time at
Kelly’s. Jason tells Karen that the reason that things probably did not work
out with Jagger was because she is a control freak. Jagger gets word that Mike's
foster mother wants to meet with him. |
