Ned & Lois #4 April 27 - June 9, 1994: 4 hrs4/27 Lois mother gives her grief over her long fingernails. She feels that when Lois gets her life in order, she will ditch the nails. She points out they aren’t diaper friendly. 4/28 Lois and Ned arrive at the lodge, and she barks at the female desk clerk who is obviously star struck over Eddie Maine. When Mr. and Mrs. Cerullo show up, Pop blasts Ned for standing Lois up at the Outback gig and Lois is humiliated. Ned and Lois at the mountain lodge, Mr. & Mrs. Cerillo show up. Mr. C is not happy with Eddie not showing up at the Outback gig. He reams Eddie for not showing up for the Outback gig. Tony & Bobbie are also there and run into Ned & Lois. Ned is shocked to see them. 4/29 He introduces Lois as the manager of the Idle Rich. Tony invites them to dinner, Ned begs off as having dinner plans with Lois' parents. Lois invites Tony & Bobbie to join the group for dinner. After Tony and Bobbie walk away, Ned is practically hyperventilating at the idea of having dinner with them. Lois confronts him, whether he will perform or have another attack of laryngitis. He tells her he does have a problem with performing in front of them, he tries to explain that they are in medicine and very conservative. Ned arranges for the Jones' to "win" a dinner elsewhere so they won't see him sing as Eddie, this ruse works. Later, Ned is in his black leather, Lois is wearing her new white dress. He goes onto perform. The gig is three songs, "Road Less Traveled”. Next is a short version of "Only One I love”. 5/2 Concert concludes with a short version of "End of the Road". After the set, Mr. C grills Ned about his future plans and whether his intentions are honorable and embarasses Lois. But gets Ned to thinking he needs to make decisions about his future. Carmine tells Lois that he doesn't think Eddie really wants success as a musician and he thinks Lois is wasting her time with him, that he lacks the drive, the hunger for it. 5/4 Back in PC, Katherine tells Ned about her and Damian’s idea to buy Deception. 5/5-5/6 Damian wants Ned to be the one that tells Lucy that ELQ bought Deception. Ned drops the bombshell on Lucy about Deception. Ned and Damian celebrate their victory with champaign. Ned calls Lois to tell her how much he really loves her and he every night, he thanks his lucky stars for her. 5/9 Brenda calls Lois and tells her all about her evening with Sonny and the diamond bracelet he gave her. They talk about their guys and the challenges in each of their relationships. Lois tells Brenda she can’t reform Sonny and she should not even try. Lois tells Brenda about the conflict Eddie feels between his two lives and how embarrassed she was over her dad's grilling. Ned arrives at Lois' and does his best to tell her the truth but he just can't do it. He instead tells her he is afraid of commitment and loves her so much and doesn't want to hurt her. Lois tells him she isn't worried, she's sure they will work things out. He tells her no one has ever made him feel this good about himself before. 5/10 Back at the Quartermaine’s as a lovesick Brenda seeks solace in a box of chocolates, Ned admits how close he came to spilling the beans to Lois the night before. Brenda tells Ned off again for continuing to deceive Lois. She calls him a pathetic wimp, and he tells her the truth would hurt Lois too much. Brenda tells him he is just being selfish and she warns him that if Lois finds out from someone else it will be much worse than if Ned tells her. Brenda tells him he doesn't deserve Lois. He swears he will make things right if Brenda will just give him a little more time. Brenda is furious when he lets it slip that he has bought Deception as she feels it is her birthright as it was her sister Julia's company. Edward tells Ned that his investigation into Damian’s link to his father’s money came up with nothing. Meanwhile, in Buffalo, Lois triumphantly cements a deal guaranteed to shoot The Idle Rich up to the top of the music charts. Lois walks into the PC Grill to find Kat whispering in Ned's ear. This is Ned's worst nightmare, Lois and Kat in the same room. He plays it off that Kat was just telling him a dirty joke. Lois takes an immediate dislike to "blondie" and calls Brenda very upset. They arrange to meet at the Quartermaine’s. Katherine pegs Lois, as Ned’s other woman. Lois organizes a little dinner for Brenda and Sonny. 5/11 Katherine tells Ned she does not mind that he is seeing her and Lois at the same time. Meanwhile, Edward warmly welcomes Lois back to the Quartermaine mansion. Brenda tells Lois her idea to create their own record company so Lois could own her own label. She suggests they could first sign Eddie, then Miguel. Lois meets Annabelle and paints the dogs nails. Lots of girl talk. 5/12 Brenda tells Lois that she will take care of the financing and Lois can teach her about the business. Ned walks in and is shocked to see Lois sitting in his living room, then Edward comes in. He refers to Lois as Brenda's friend and quickly whisks her away to Kelly's, she is still angry with him. Ned accuses Lois of being jealous of Katherine. Ned assures her she has no reason to feel threatened by Katherine. He assures her that she is the only woman he loves, she believes his sincerity. She informs him of the band's booking into a hotel in Washington D.C. Brenda approaches Ned to finance their new record label, he says no. 5/16 Brenda meets with Lois at Kelly's. She and Lois talk about how much money they are going to need for their label. Lois asks Brenda if she thinks Mrs. Q is seriously interested. Brenda says she is. Brenda calls Ned, interrupting a meeting with Kat, to let him know that Lois is back in town and looking for him. Sonny stops by their table and Brenda fills him in on their efforts to find a financial investor in their company. Sonny tells them that he might know someone. 5/17 Sonny offers to pour some funds into the record company if Brenda and Lois can show him proof that the return on his investment will be worth the time and trouble.Meanwhile over at the Q’s, Katherine & Ned are talking about the Nurse's Ball. Ned arranges to meet Lois in the park. She tells him they are planning on calling the record company L&B, he comments that he didn't think Brenda was serious, now he is becoming nervous about this plan and the talk of making Eddie Maine a household name and they are going to live happily ever after. 5/18 Ned discourages Lois from going into business with Brenda. She raves that Brenda is bringing the financing. He asks who on earth would finance Brenda in a business? Lois breaks her big news that the fledgling record company's major investor is Sonny Corinthos. He asks her if she has ever heard of money laundering? This leads to an argument over Sonny. Ned accepts the record company idea, they smooch and sweet scenes follow. 5/19 Back at the Quartermaine's, Ned tries to discourage Brenda from having Sonny putting up the money, and warns her about the Rico act. Ned says no way he will agree to Lois going into business with Sonny, it is too dangerous. He warns her that she is playing with fire and will get burned. He even threatens that they won't have the Idle Rich. Brenda isn't concerned, she tells Ned that L&B will succeed with or without him. 5/23 At Lois', L&B plan their record company. They talk about how much money Sonny will have to drop and they plan to show him an 18-month strategy for the label. While Lois paints Brenda's nails. Brenda worries that Eddie doesn't have his heart completely in the music business. Ned and Katherine end up in bed together. 5/24 Lois goes to visit her parents. She wants her pops advice on her record company. Carmine is worried when he reads Lois’s business proposal for L&B Records. Carmine tells Lois that the hang-up he has with her proposed record company is Eddie. Ned and Katherine have some ELQ charitable proposals for Edward approval. Edward is sold on Ned and Katherine’s proposals. Lois calls Ned for a reassurance that he loves her. 5/25 Monica tells Ned about BJ’s death and Damian’s role in destroying the Jones’s marriage. She presses him to see Damian for the man he really is. 5/27 Brenda and Lois show Sonny their proposals for L&B records. But when Sonny wants a 75-25 split, Lois tells him no deal. Lois and Sonny negotiate percentages for the company. Lois and Brenda come back to the table with Sonny and they agree to a 60/40 split. Ned questions Damian about how his personal relationships are affecting the members of the ELQ board. Ned and Lois on another picnic in the park, Kat sees them kissing. She is beginning to see Lois as a threat for Ned's affections. 5/31 Lois brings Ned up to her place in Buffalo for a little more love in the afternoon. She ties him to the bed frame and he is delighted to be her prisoner. After Lois presents him with a guitar, a delighted Ned expresses his gratitude both for the gift and the never wavering faith Lois has in him. She unties him and he sings to her "Just Because". 6/1 Brenda tells Lois she thinks they are making a big mistake getting into business with Sonny. Brenda tells Lois about saving Sonny’s life after he was shot. Lois has a little chat with Sonny and he assures her that their deal is completely square. Lois invites Sonny to see the Idle Rich in DC. 6/2 Lois tells Brenda that Sonny convinced her that his dealing with L&B will be legitimate. 6/3 When Ned shows up at the Outback, Jason introduces him to Miguel. 6/6 At the Outback. Kat asks Ned to marry her, he chokes, and says no. He begs off that is still bleeding from his relationship with Jenny and he isn't ready to love again. She calls him on being patronizing, and tells him he will marry her. She won't take no for an answer. Later on the phone, Ned confides to Lois about an unrelenting business associate who won't take no for an answer. Lois, laying in bed, seductively invites him to join her and he hurries out. Once there, he admits to having a hard time "getting off the fence" and worries about losing her - the best thing in his life. She is touched and doesn't pressure him. 6/8 Lois tells Ned that she has invited Sonny to attend the DC concert. Meanwhile, Kat blackmails Edward that she has evidence implicating Alan in Ray's murder and she will take it to the police unless Ned marries her. Edward tells Q's about the blackmail. Then they tell Ned they want him to marry Kat. Alan confides in Ned about Kat's blackmail plan and they all beg him to cooperate at least for a few months. Ned continues to refuse. They continue to pressure him, and bring in family loyalty. He storms out, saying he will be gone for a few days and tells them if he agrees the price will be very high. He then confronts Katherine, but she is adamant.**The End** |
