Ned & Lois #5 June 10 - July 12, 19946/10 At the Grille, Brenda babbles on about the DC trip oblivious to Ned's distress. Brenda mentions Sonny coming on the trip and Ned tells her he absolutely will not sing in front of Sonny. Next, Ned asks Lee Baldwin about the legality of marrying someone under an assumed name. Then he gets a marriage license with the name of Ned Ashton. Ned arrives in DC and asks Lois to wear the white dress she bought with her mother, as he wants to take her someplace special after the gig. Ned is furious when he hears that Sonny has come with Brenda, but Brenda points out that Sonny is the major financier and he has a right to be there. Ned tells her he won't perform if Sonny shows up (starts to fake laryngitis). Ned warns Brenda to keep Sonny away from the show. 6/13 When Ned goes down to the gig, he looks around cautiously for any sign of Sonny. He starts an onset of fake laryngitis, with coughing. Lois freaks out on Ned telling him he has to sing no excuses. Brenda seduces Sonny and they plan on staying in the hotel room. Brenda calls Lois and tells her they won't be going to the concert. Of course, Ned has a miraculous recovery. Ned sings two very very short songs. Afterwards, he takes Lois out into the garden. He tells her how much he loves her, more than he ever thought he was capable of. He then asks Lois to marry him! Lois is estatic. 6/14 Ned & Lois go to the Justice of the Peace in Baltimore, Lois is feeling rushed by Ned who is so enthusiastic. He covers up his name on the marriage license when she signs it. He gives her a bouquet of flowers, and a ring with a circle of diamonds that he says represents their love which goes on forever. During the ceremony, Lois hyperventilates and winds up with her head in a paper bag. She is having second thoughts about getting married so quickly, whether Eddie is really ready for this, and she realizes her mother will never forgive her. Ned talks her into it and they marry. Ned tells Lois he will take her anywhere in the world for their honeymoon. Lois wants to take him to Coney Island. 6/15 Ned and Lois arrive in Brooklyn and tell Mrs. C about their wedding. Gloria initially is very disappointed that she wasn't informed and invited to her daughter's wedding. Then she realizes that Lois wasn't married in a church and she relaxes as that doesn't count! She begins planning a big church wedding and insists that they will get married in front of the family with a priest. Then Ned and Lois head to Coney Island for their honeymoon. Lois tells Ned the story of Coney Island. Montage of Ned and Lois having fun at the amusement park to "Under the Boardwalk". They ride the Wonder Wheel, and then the Cyclone roller coaster. Lois gives Ned her school ring to wear. Ned is puzzled why Lois picked Coney for their honeymoon when he told her he would take her anywhere she wanted to go. She explains to him about how magical it has always been to her and she wanted to share it with him. Next they ride the carousel. 6/16 Back at the Cerrillos, Gloria takes Lois to the other room so Carmine can talk to Eddie. Carmine wants to know why he suddenly decided to commit to her and warns her not to hurt his daughter. Gloria and Carmine question where the newlyweds will live. Lois reports they will keep both places and Eddie will join her on the weekend. 6/21 Lois calls Brenda to tell her the good news. Lois asks Brenda to be her maid of honor when she and Eddie have their formal wedding. Lois wants to move to PC. Lois also wants to get her own place in PC, Brenda thinks its weird for them to have two separate apartments. AJ tells Brenda that Ned is marrying Katherine. In exchange for marring Katherine, Ned gets full control over his family’s voting rights ELQ for one full year. Brenda confronts Ned about marrying both Lois and Katherine and tells him off. Ned plans to find some dirt on Katherine to hold over her head and get out of the fake marriage to her. Then Ned calls Lois to tell her how much he loves her then cuts the call short when Kat comes into the room. 6/22 Ned asks Damian about his theft of the Conway evidence and informs him of Katherine now having it. He should have known better than to try and blackmail Alan. 6/23 At the Nurse’s Ball, Ned tells Lucy that Ned and Katherine are engaged. Ned tells Brenda to back off trying to get information on how Katherine is blackmailing the Q’s for everyone’s sake. Brenda & Ned talk about Lois at the Nurse's Ball. Brenda is still furious at Ned. He worries that she will tell Lois the truth in order to protect her, he assures Brenda that he is legally married to Lois. Simone, Kevin, and Monica perform. Lucy tries to set up Tony to dance with Bobbie instead but it backfires and Damian winds up dancing with her. Tony and Damian come to blows backstage during The Chorus Line number. The curtain goes up on a half naked Lucy. 6/24 The Nurse’s Ball continues. Steve performs. Mac is shocked to see Robin and Stone’s performance of a scene of Romeo and Juliet. Miguel closes out the show with a song. 6/27 Brenda calls Lois with the news that Miguel sang at the ball. Ned and Katherine go back to his room. Kat listens in on his call from Lois. Kat is suspicious that it is Lois and threatens him to get rid of her or she will. Kat warns Ned not to play her for a fool. She is livid with Ned and warns him that even though they might not be in love, she refuses to share him. 6/28 Ned tells Damian that his tango with Bobbie has again earned him the wrath of the ELQ board. Damian tells Ned about the bet. After seeing him at The Grill, Damian antagonizes Tony. Lucy and Ned break up their war of words. Lucy speaks with Damian and Ned about Deception. She now wants a contract to protect herself from Katherine. After hearing about his singing, Lois is in PC to talk with Miguel again. Miguel tells Lois about his problems with his singing contract/manager he used to have. Lois and Brenda sign a contract with Sonny. Katherine wants to talk with Ned before he makes a decision on Lucy’s contract. 6/29 Katherine wants Ned to consider appointing her as the head of Deception. Ned agrees to talk with Edward about Deception. Lois joins Ned at the PC Grille wants to celebrate her record contract with Ned on Friday at The Outback. He begs off due to another late business meeting. Kat walks in and sees them arm in arm. Kat is not happy about it but Ned distracts her with talk of their wedding. 6/30 Ned tries to cover with Katherine. After Lois gets turned down to celebrate with Ned, she wants to celebrate with Sonny and Brenda. They seem more interested in each other than going to lunch with Lois. Katherine and Ned plan to wed on Friday. 7/5 The Q mansion is prepared for the wedding. Lois shows up the mansion unexpectedly. Ned sends Brenda to shuffle her out. Sonny takes offense when Brenda asks him to take Lois to The Outback. Katherine and Ned get married in front of a glum bunch of Qs. Meanwhile at Maxie’s party at the Outback, Miguel sings to her. Sonny wants Lois to try harder to sign Miguel. Funny scene between Robin and Lois about her nails as they meet for the first time. 7/6 Maxie’s party continues. Lois refuses to tell Sonny about why Miguel won’t sign with L&B. Miguel sings a few songs. Lois convinces Miguel that Sonny’s contacts could maybe help him. Miguel explains his situation to Sonny. Sonny agrees to help him if he signs a contract with L&B. Sonny offers to take care of his old manager, Mr. Fernandez, in Puerto Rico, buy his old contract, and return to PC with guaranteed safety for his family. Katherine and Ned’s wedding night. Ned warns Katherine not to double cross him. 7/8 Later, Brenda and Lois hang out at Lois'. Lois and Brenda dish Sonny and Ned over candy bars and old movies. Sonny has left for Puerto Rico still upset at Brenda. Lois thinks Eddie needs more confidence and Brenda about chokes on that idea. Ned and Katherine’s honeymoon continues. Katherine agrees to hand over the Conway evidence at the next ELQ board meeting after she is given the Deception CEO position. Ned wants to fly into town and get truffles for Katherine. Ned really wants to go to Buffalo for an hour. Brenda makes herself scarce when Ned arrives at Lois’s apartment. Ned makes excuses that he is headed to a convention. Lois doesn’t understand why she can’t attend with him. 7/11 Back at the Quartermaine's, Ned and Kat return from their honeymoon and meet with Edward in the living room. Edward demands the evidence from Katherine. Katherine tells Edward about her want to take over Deception. Edward offers Ned and Katherine the east wing to live in. Ned tells Katherine that he is happy to be free of living on the Q grounds. He needs time to think about where they will live. Reginald tells Ned that Brenda's friend is with Mrs. Q. Lois arrives at the Q mansion to see Brenda. Lila offers the gatehouse to Lois as a base of her record company. Lois surprise Ned at The Grill. She tells him about the gatehouse being the record company’s headquarters. Ned loudly opposes this idea. 7/12 Ned learns that Edward bestowed some ELQ stock to AJ. Ned tries to get the Qs to renege on their offer of the gatehouse to Lois. Ned gets all the Qs votes on the toxic waste incinerator and it is a go. Lois tells Brenda about the gatehouse and that she will be living there too. Brenda reminds Lois that she is changing the rules on Eddie by moving to PC.**The end** |
