Ned & Lois #16 November 1 - December 21, 1995: 4 hour dvd

11/1 Brenda tells Lois feels like she is losing everyone she cares about as she grieves the pending loss of Stone, and her loss of Sonny.

11/3 Ned has a clue for Luke and Laura about where the kids are headed. Ned tells them about Lucky talking with Mac. Lois and Brenda go over final plans for the Philadelphia concert with Mary Mae. Lois thinks that Brenda needs to get her head together where Sonny is concerned. She thinks Brenda is backsliding.

11/7 Edward presses Ned on the Tokyo trip. Edward tries to get Lois on his side, but she tells Edward that he is not calling the shots anymore, Ned is.

11/9 Ned asks Lois what she thinks about having children? She tells him she is ready to start thinking about kids. Ned tells Lois he would like to have a baby with her. Lois is tickled and agrees to think about it.

11/10 N&L and Brenda arrive in Philly for Mary Mae's concert (she isn't seen - I think Rosalind must have been ill by this time). They have breakfast before the gig, Sonny & Lily arrive.

11/13 Ned gives Tom a piece of his mind about the scene he caused with Justus. Ned advises him just to go home. Lois tells the Wards that the critics loved Mary Mae.

11/16 Ned arrives with AJ after bailing him out of jail.

11/20 Lois and Ned return home and walk in on Sonny and Brenda hugging. He has just told Brenda that Robin is HIV+ and she tells Ned and Lois. Ned warns Brenda not to misinterpret the compassion that Sonny is showing toward Stone and Robin and warns her to stay away from Sonny. Brenda explodes and tells Ned off.

11/22 Lois bakes cookies for Stone’s early Christmas party. Edward arrives at the guesthouse bellowing about Ned letting the ELQ Tokyo deal go south. Lois resents him blaming Ned’s devotion to L&B for the deal blowing up and tells him to blow it out his ear. Lois and Ned exchange early Christmas presents. They arrive at Sonny’s for Stone’s early Christmas. Lois is weirded out by Katherine’s niceness, and thinks she is up to something. Sonny and Mike manage to get Christmas dinner on the table.

11/23 Thanksgiving in PC. Monica warns Edward to behave for Emily first Thanksgiving without her mother. Lila decides the Qs will have duck instead of turkey. Lucy goes to the Qs searching for missing Sigmund (her duck) and wants Justus to flex his muscle with the police to help find her duck. She is horrified when she learns they are having duck! The Qs loose their appetite for duck and decide to order pizza again.

11/29 With his eyesight failing, Stone gets one last view of Robin in the sunlight standing in the window. Stone passes away in Robin’s arms. Sonny breaks down at Stone’s bedside.

11/30 Lois breaks down with Ned after she looks over the inventory sheets that Stone did for L&B. Heartbreaking scene, as Lois grieves over Stone's death. Ned comforts Lois as she pours out her pain and her love for Ned. Ned sings a song that he wrote to commemorate this day, and to comfort Lois and then holds her in his arms as she sobs. She tells him that he can build a whole album around that song, and that would be the change he wants for Eddie Maine. She suggests a new tour.

She wants to take this song and shoot a video at Coney Island. He questions now, in the winter? She says yes, while everything is dead as a contrast with Ned being strong and alive. She wants to release the video in conjunction with the tour. She sobs in his arms, telling him how much she loves him and she begs him to never leave her (watching this scene it is impossible to believe that she would leave him just before their baby's birth just 10 months later).

Jason arrives at the gatehouse with a package. Lois asks why he is delivering it personally? He admits that he isn’t going to class. Lois invites him to sit down and she will make some hot chocolate. Jason tells Ned that he is a very lucky man. Then Emily arrives and they with a prophetic discussion about AJ's drinking and driving going unpunished as they try to explain AJ to her.

12/1 Ned plays a ballad as Lois is getting ready for Stone’s funeral, trying to decide what would be appropriate to wear. Brenda tells Lois that now that Stone is gone, all she wants to do is be with Sonny and help him. Lois warns her not to do anything rash. Sonny brings Stone’s ashes for the memorial service. Friends gather for Stone’s memorial. Sonny, Mac, Kevin, and Robin speak at the memorial. Ned leads them in singing "Amazing Grace".

12/5 Lois and Brenda plan the next Idle Rich CD. Brenda had booked a famous photographer for the album artwork. Brenda tells Lois that she has told Sonny how she feels. He told her that he did not trust her, but Brenda is sure he is still hurting over them too. Lois pushes her to move on. Edward harps on Lois about Ned splitting his time between ELQ and L&B. Brenda takes Sonny some L&B info as an excuse to see him.

12/6 Ned and Edward go another round on Ned’s priorities. Monica interrupts them and warns Ned and Edward to stop fighting as Emily has her meeting with the social worker about the adoption. She arrives and Monica ushers Ned out of the room. Cute scene as first Alan tries listening at the door, then Edward, joined by Monica, and then Ned as they each ask if the others can hear anything. They suddenly hear peals of laugher coming from within. As their meeting ends, the Q’s scatter so as not to be caught listening in but oh so obvious as they all linger in the hall. Mac calls Ned telling him it looks like the PCPD will get Sonny.

12/7 Lois overhears Ned and Mac talk about bringing Sonny down. Lois confronts Ned about holding out on her. He argues he has the right to protect his future as Eddie Maine. Lois thinks that Sonny will be more apt to listen now that an official investigation has been started. She presses him again about selling his majority interest in L&B. He is not interested.

12/8 Lois hyperventilates when she thinks what the trouble L&B will be in if Sonny is arrested. Ned lays out what would happen to L&B if it is seized. Lois tells Brenda about the feds hitting pay dirt on Sonny. Brenda has the idea that Sonny’s possible indictment would interfere with Lois’s creative control. Lois goes to Edward for help. Edward begins plotting.

12/11 Lois makes Ned fly coach to NYC for his photo-shoot for the new Idle Rich album cover. Ned arrives wearing his signature leather pants. However, the photographer Lois hired wants Ned to be photographed naked with a slinky blonde model. Lois exercises her creative control to say no. Edward makes Sonny a deal that he can’t refuse. Edward gets his hands on Sonny’s shares of L&B. Sonny gives Edward the tip that Miguel is sought after by a big time music producer. Edward arrives at the gatehouse and tells Brenda that he now owns Sonny’s shares of L&B. Edward persuades Brenda to transfer her shares into a holding company.

12/12 Brenda tells Lois and Ned about Edward’s deal. Ned wants to know how Edward got involved? Lois fesses up that she went to him for help. Brenda excitedly says it was all her idea. She knows that Edward has been difficult over Ned’s music career but believes this will protect L&B. Lois reels when she realizes that Brenda has given Edward controlling interest by selling her shares to Edward. They all come to the realization at the same time that Edward set Brenda up to get ahold of her shares of L&B.

They race out the door heading up to the big house. Lois, Ned, and Brenda confront a gloating Edward, who now owns controlling interest in L&B. He is enjoying his control over Ned’s singing career. Ned calls him an “old buzzard” and threatens to sue him. Edward tells him to go ahead and try it but in the meantime, he tells Ned not to sing or play a note. The Q’s want to know what is going on? Lois admits that she came to Edward for help when L&B was in trouble. A tearful Brenda accuses that Edward used the trust that she had in him to take advantage of her and take their company out from under them. Edward tells the ladies to toughen up if they are going to be in business and not take this personal.

Lois informs him that she has creative control over the company. He continues that since he now owns 80% of the company, that gives him creative control. He continues by telling Ned not to be wearing those leather pants. Lois reams Edward for taking away her dream, her life’s blood. Edward whips out a check for Lois to make her an offer to Lois for her stock as well. He says that he will keep the Idle Rich contract but he will sell her Mary Mae’s contract. When Lois calls him a weasel, he takes it as a compliment. He then brags that he has turned a profit as he has liquidated an asset as he sold Miguel’s contact to Cepeda. The L&B gang strategize on how to undo the mess that Edward has made.

12/13 The Qs give Edward the cold shoulder over his L&B scheme. Emily walks in and asks what HE has done now? Edward explains to Emily that it was just business. When she learns that he took away L&B, Emily reams him and finishes off by telling him to blow it out his ear. Lois and Ned enter and give Emily props for sticking up for them. Lois starts off by asking him nicely to return her company. He continues to gloat and refuses to cooperate. Lois is ready to rip him limb from limb and vows to fight dirty.

Robin arrives at the gate house to give Lois, and Ned some of Stone’s things. Ned thanks Robin for making something good happen today. Ned offers Lois money so that she can go to Argentina and buy back Miguel’s contract. Lois doesn’t want the Quartermaine money. He points out that it is a great way to stick it to Edward. He asks her to spend whatever she needs to save Miguel. She tells him that she lies him and she is going to Argentina!

12/15 Lois arrives at Luke’s club to confront Sonny about selling his L&B shares to Edward. She says she doesn’t know whether to slug him or thank him. Lois reminds him that with Stone gone, she is his only real connection and she has loved him, even knowing what she knows about him. She loved him like she loved her own brother, and it could have been, should have been a great thing and now he blew it. He comments that she is taking this way to personal. She points out everything that he has lost due to his choices. She vows to get her company back and she vows to get Miguel back, who doesn’t even know that he was sold off like meat. He wishes her good luck, and she wishes him the same. She is sorry for him.

Lois calls her mom from the airport and fills her in on Edward’s shenanigans. She offers to call “the cousins” on Edward, but Lois tells her that isn’t needed. The lawyers are working on invalidating the sale of Brenda’s shares as Edward meant to defraud her. She tells her mom that she has an unsettled feeling. Ned shows up at the airport to say goodbye to Lois and takes her in his arms and kisses her. Later as she fidgets, Ned asks her what is wrong? She is nervous, and Ned reassures her that Sapada doesn’t stand a chance against her. Lois leaves for Argentina.

12/19 A happy Ned meets with Mac about Sonny being arrested. Ned learns that Katherine and Mac are an item. Mac trusts Ned and Katherine tells him about leaking the information on Damian and Sonny’s business.

12/20 Ned arrives at the main house to find Emily and Monica together and tells them that they are his two favorite dames. Emily is embarrassed when Monica tells him that Emily wants to know if she is having an affair. Ned tells her that it is a good sign that she can be so open with Monica, and that she shared with him, almost like a real family. Monica assures Em that she only wants the best for her.

12/21 Ned works on getting the ELQ’s Tokyo deal back on track. Ned wants to make a deal with Edward for L&B. He wants to know what Edward wants. Edward claims that he just wants Eddie Maine at least for as long as his contract lasts. Ned wants to know why Edward would deny him something that feeds his soul? Ned declares this isn’t about ELQ but about Edward wanting to control his life. Ned accuses Edward of being jealous of Lois. He has learned a lot from Lois, and he recommends that Edward pay attention. Ned tells Edward that he doesn’t want to waste whatever time he has left with Edward by fighting. He informs Edward that he has his life partner and it is not Edward and if Edward can’t accept that, then he will sadly be left out.

Lois tells Sapada about Edward’s scheming. He is shocked that her own family would treat her like that. She says on top of selling out her company, he sold Miguel’s contract. She pleads that it was all done behind her back, without her agreement. She is assuming that Miguel doesn’t know about it, as he hasn’t called to yell at her. Lois tells him that she has to have Miguel back. She knows it isn’t good business to tell him that, but she found him, she nurtured him and she believes in him. Frank says that he wouldn’t have bought the contract if he didn’t think he could help Miguel. She offers him 20% profit over what he paid, and 10% of all future earnings as Miguel’s manager. She gives him a check for the buy back, for the profit, and an advance towards his 10%. Lois sees Miguel and enjoys her reunion with him. She attends his concert. Brenda is upset (Sonny has told her they have no future together) and she goes to the gatehouse wanting the number to call Lois in South America. Ned offers her a shoulder to cry on.
