Ned & Lois #17 December 22, 1995 - February 4, 1996: 4 hour dvd

12/22 Cute scenes as the Quartermaine men gather around the Christmas train with Emily. Lois tells Ned that her flight home was cancelled due to weather. She suggests he meet her for Miguel’s New Years concert. Ned sings “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” set to a montage of PCers enjoying the holiday.

12/28 Starts Abruptly. To combat Edward’s over-taking L&B, Ned meets with his lawyers about nullifying Brenda’s sale of her stock and Eddie Maine’s contract. They tell Ned that there is nothing they can do, he has been bested. Edward shows Ned the peace offering he wants to give Lois, a red sports car. Ned tells Edward that Lois will not accept bribery. A drunk AJ gets in the new sports car. Jason follows him and tries to stop him. When he is unable to, Jason jumps into the car. Ned hears a crash outside the gatehouse and goes to investigate.

12/29 Ned arrives and finds Jason lying unconscious after being thrown from a car driven by a drunk AJ. Ned covers for AJ by saying he was driving. The Qs learn about Jason’s accident. Damian meets with Cassius. Ned calls Lois and tells her about the accident.

1/2/96 Tony tells the Qs that Jason has swelling of the brain. A hung-over AJ learns from Reginald that there was a car accident. Ned arrives and tells AJ that he may have killed Jason. Ned tells AJ about the cover-up and he will say nothing to the contrary. AJ now answers to Ned.

1/4 Ned worries that will happen to his family if Jason dies. Ned wills Jason to recover.

1/5 Tony examines Jason and tells Ned that Jason’s chances for a full recovery are slim to none. The Qs learn that Jason blood pressure is rising due to shock. Tony hopes to stabilize him with meds. Ned is livid when he learns that AJ told Kevin the truth about the accident. Ned wants assurances from Kevin that what AJ told him will be kept in confidence. Jason’s pressure stabilizes and he opens his eye as the Q’s excitedly gather around his beside.

1/8 Tony tells the Qs that despite opening his eyes, Jason is not fully conscious yet. AJ convinces Alan and Monica to get some rest. Lois calls Ned from Argentina. She is coming home tomorrow.

1/12 As the Q’s gather over breakfast, Ned eagerly awaits Lois’ return. Alan admits that it feels like Lois has been gone forever and he really misses her. Bobbie calls and gives the family and update that Jason has made some progress with more spontaneous movement. With Emily’s birthday coming, Justus’s wedding, and the news of Jason’s progress, Lila suggests a party to direct the Qs energy to the positive. Ned learns that Lois’s plane went down in Brazil.

1/15 Ned lays the fact that Lois was even in Argentina at Edward’s feet. Ned calls in favors to find out what happened to Lois’s plane. Edward calls Brenda and asks for her to come to the Q’s on the double. When she arrives, she asks what is wrong with Ned. He tells her that Lois plane has gone missing.

Being helpless, Ned is frantic. Ned and Brenda share their fear over Lois’ safety. Brenda is strong and encourages Ned to think positively, that wherever that plane is that Lois has everything under control. When the phone rings, Edward jumps on the phone though Ned grabs it away from him. He learns that the location of the plane has been found and a search and rescue team has been sent. Ned wants to take the ELQ jet to the location but is told it is very remote and limited access, he is told to just sit tight for further word.

1/16 Ned paces the Q living room as he waits for word, Alan and Brenda wait with him. He starts asking Alan questions about how long a person can survive without water? Ned worries that they longer they have to wait, the worse he expects the news to be. He can’t just sit there doing nothing.

Lois is shown alive and well and caring for another survivor. Ned gets news on the plane. A very much okay Lois calls the Q mansion, she assures Ned that she is okay and the rescue squad has arrived. She promises to be home safe and sound soon. A relieved Brenda talks to her BFF and then Edward, though Lois warns him that she still has a very big bone to pick with him. After they hang up, the family cheers with relief! Later, Ned arrives with a birthday gift for Emily as the Q party gets underway.

1/17 The Q party continues. Brenda tells Ned about how she set Lily’s wedding dress on fire, by accident.

1/18 Lois returns home from Argentina. Ned has to tell her that Mary Mae has died. Ned and Lois have to tell Edward that Mary Mae is gone. Justus asks Lois to speak at the service.

1/19 Ned wants to call Edward’s bluff when it comes to L&B. He tells Lois that they should book The Idle Rich into The Outback and damn the consequences. They do not think Edward wants a public brawl. Keisha, Laura, Luke, Lois, and Justus, speak at Mary Mae’s funeral, ends with flashbacks of Mary Mae.

1/22 Brenda tells Lois about torching Lily’s dress. Ned tells Brenda about his plan for an Idle Rich concert to push Edward’s buttons. Lois books the gig for the Rich.

1/23 Lois helps out at Ward House. Sonny stops by and he and Lois talk about his upcoming marriage.

1/24 Lois visits Jason at GH and tries to comfort Keisha. Lois and Lily talk about Sonny. Lily hopes that someday Lois will reconcile with Sonny. Lois and Brenda plan Ned’s gig at The Outback.

1/26 Lois wakes up after she has a bad dream about The Outback gig. Just as he is about to take the stage, Ned gets served with a restraining order baring him from playing. Ned takes the stage regardless. Ned is arrested.

1/29 Ned is taken to the PCPD, where Justus represents him. Ned rails on Edward to the press. Edward arrives and puts Lois and Ned on notice. Lois calls her mother for advice and Gloria suggests Lois make a trade with Edward. Lois asks Ned about the ELQ Tokyo deal.

1/30 Lois asks for Mac’s help to beat Edward at this own game. Lois gets shutdown when she tries to make an appointment to see Jax of the J&J Company of Alaska.

1/31 Lois leaves for NYC without giving Ned many details. Lois meets Jasper Jax (Note: First appearance by Ingo Rademacher as Jax) Lois wants Jax to buy the Tokyo pharmaceutical company that Edward wants for ELQ. Lois has one condition; Jax must insist that Edward give L&B back to Lois first. That is her "commission" for bringing the information to Jax.

2/3 Jax flies Lois on his private plane to his family’s home in Alaska. Lois meets Jax’s mom, Lady Jane. The Jaxs finalize their deal with Lois. Ned is not happy about Lois doing business with Jasper Jax. Ned visits Jason in the hospital.

2/4 A sad Brenda comes to the gatehouse wanting to talk with Lois, its the day of Sonny & Lily’s wedding. Ned tells a disappointed Brenda that Lois is on her way back from Alaska. Jax is flying Lois home from Alaska to Port Charles. Lois is thrilled with Jax agreeing to help her. She can’t wait till Edward realizes that Lois pulled one over on him regarding the Yagi Pharmaceutical deal. Lois is curious why he jumped at this chance so fast. He admits that he couldn’t resist getting one over on Edward Q, but also because he couldn’t resist Lois!
