Ned & Lois # 20 April 25 - July 11, 1996: 4 hour dvd4/25/96 Lois asks Ned what the Qs said about the baby and learns that he has not told them yet. He wants to keep their baby safe from his family for now. Ned and Lois tell the Qs about the baby and the family takes over.5/1/96 Edward tells Ned and Lois that he is setting up a trust as well as an ELQ stock transfer for their baby. Lois and Jax talk about Brenda. 5/3/96 Edward continues paving the way for his new great-grandchild despite Lois’s objections. 5/10/96 It hits Lois that she is soon going to be someone’s mother. Alan and Monica argue over AJ again and their lack of communication, which causes Lois to head for the gatehouse. 5/15/96 Ned brings Lois some food that she has been craving. Brenda tells Lois about Jax proposing. 5/21/96 Ned and Lois talk with Jax about his proposal to Brenda. 5/23/96 Keisha stops Ned from bullying AJ. Brenda tells Lois and Ned that she has decided to give up on Sonny. Lois asks Brenda to be the baby’s godmother. 5/29/96 L&B 5/31/96 Lois and Ned celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Ned blows off covering for Edward at ELQ to be with Lois. Car bomb goes off at Luke’s 6/3/96 Explosion aftermath, Lily and the baby were killed. 6/6/96 AJ and Ned discuss why Edward is spending so much time at the courthouse. AJ theorizes that he may be grooming Justus to become the new ELQ counsel. Alan and Ned jump all over AJ. Monica and Keisha defend him. Alan and Monica argue about blaming each other for their son’s issues. Later, Ned and Lila talk about he role as family protector and what being a father will mean. Lila muses that Ned is jealous of Edward paying a lot of attention to Justus. 6/11/96 Lois does some baby research. Ned thinks she is planning too much. Ned and Lois see Monica & Dorman at Kelly’s today and suspect something is up. 6/14/96 Lois pays Sonny a visit and finds out that Jason is staying with him. Ned worries when Lois tells him that Jason is staying with Sonny. Jax and Brenda tell Lois and Ned that they are married. Lois has the task of telling Brenda about Lily’s death. Jason shows up at the gatehouse. Ned apologizes for lying to him and the two make peace. 6/17/96 Lois practices for the upcoming 2 am baby feedings. She plans to design her own crib for the baby and have her mom come to stay for a few months. A sad Monica remembers with Ned and Lois that today marks the day that Paige (Emily’s mom) died a year ago. 6/19/96 The Qs go a few rounds when Lois confronts Edward when she learns that he enrolled her baby in St. Swithin's pre-school. Lois has a daydream of becoming a Q and their son being a little Quartermaine. Lois tells Ned that they should move to Bensonhurst. 6/21/96 The Nurse’s Ball begins. Alan sings “Beautiful Girls” to open the show. Ned sings “Having My Baby”. Sonny gives a 30 million endowment to GH for the Stone Cates Memorial AIDS Wing. Lucy announces the sad news of the death of Jon Hanley (Lee Mathis). Janis Ian sings. Mac talks about Stone, and presents Robin with a section of the AIDS quilt in Stone's honor. Robin, the keynote speaker, delivers her speech and breaks down sobbing. Jason comes to the stage, picks her up, and carries her out. 6/26/96 Ned & Lois and Edward arrive at Luke’s club. Edward is surprised that the place is empty and wants to know where Justus is? Ned makes a comment about a minor city council seat and Edward declares his grandson is running and it is not a minor race. As Edward makes a call, Lois asks Ned isn’t he happy that Edward is focusing all of his attention on AJ and Justus. When Edward returns to the table, he suggests that they should have hired actors to fill the club. Lois snarks, “Isn’t that where I came in?” 6/27/96 A jealous Ned makes snide remakes and tells Edward he can’t offer Justus the job without his consent. Ned warns Justus against letting Edward control him. Ned gets a message from Tracy. 7/2/96 Justice tells Edward that he is going to recommend AJ for his City Council seat. Edward and Ned have doubts but Justus goes to bat for AJ. Lois talks to Dara about joining L&B but she declines. Lois is not about to give up that easily. Ned tells Edward that he is going to cancel his Idle Rich tour that Lois has planned but Edward insists he go. Ned is suspicious of Edward pushing him out the door. Ned tells Lois he is canceling. 7/9/96 Lois and Ned talk about his tour and trying to sign Dara. Lois goes to work on Dara again. Edward calls the Qs together to announce that AJ will be the new city council member. Ned is angry that Edward bought the seat for AJ. AJ gives his speech but it not the one that Edward wrote for him. Ned tells Lois about AJ and discuss Edward’s motives for pushing Ned out the ELQ. 7/11 Ned finds a very excited Lois, eager to tell him that Idle Rich has just been booked into Liberty Hall in Boston! She is very excited about increased media coverage. Ned tells Lois that he can’t shake the feeling that Edward is up to something and can’t let himself trust it. Lois says maybe the old coot has mellowed. Ned isn’t buying it. Lois declares that this is simply a case of nerves that Ned is really having a case of nerves that this tour will catapult him into fame and out of ELQ. **The end** |
