Ric & Alexis #3  December 1, 2004 – March 8, 2005 – 8 hours

Ric reminds Alexis of everything that Ric has done recently to guarantee that Kristina will remain where the little girl belongs, with her mother. Ric cautions Alexis about making a scene in front of Kristina in a public place like the hospital and assures Alexis that he is trying to make everything okay for Kristina. Meanwhile, Sonny confides to Kristina that Sonny believes that Kristina will soon be living with her very own father.

Ric coaxes Kristina into taking a walk with him and Alexis informs Sonny that the custody hearing has been moved up and Alexis expects Sonny to 'suddenly' decide, while on the witness stand, that Kristina belongs with her mother or Alexis will return the incriminating file to Ric. Alexis also warns Sonny that all of Sonny's talk about Kristina going home with Sonny is frightening and confusing to the little girl. Alexis reminds Sonny that Kristina will be a target to all of Sonny's enemies, but Sonny insists that he only wants what is best for his daughter.

After Sonny leaves, Ric returns and announces that he needs to return to the office. Alexis suddenly begs Ric to stay with her for a few minutes. Alexis reassures Ric that she knows that he is doing everything he can protect Alexis and Kristina. While sharing a kiss, Alexis expresses her hope that everything will be okay as soon as the custody hearing is over and Sonny is out of their lives for good.

Alexis arrives at PCPD to go with Nikolas to the wedding. Alexis arrives at the church and goes to the Bride's Room to inform Emily that Nikolas has arrived. Alexis tearfully thanks Emily for giving Nikolas the home that Nikolas has always wanted but has never been able to have.

Sonny offers Alexis shared custody of Kristina, but she adamantly refuses. Sticking to her plan, she tells Sonny exactly what he should say once on the witness stand if he doesn't want the incriminating file to be turned over to the D.A.'s office. Later, both Sam and Carly testify on Sonny's behalf. Jax and Courtney are on opposing sides of the custody battle, which leaves them a little at odds. On the witness stand, Sonny pulls a fast one on Alexis by saying that Kristina belongs with him, not her.

Alexis is stunned when Sonny goes back on their agreement, and states in court that Kristina belongs with him. She jumps in the middle of Ric's cross examination, and petitions to finish it herself. Ric objects, but the judge allows Alexis to question Sonny. Despite her best efforts, Alexis is unable to get a clear victory in her cross, so Ric calls for a short recess. During it, Alexis tearfully tells Sonny that she wishes she had another choice, but he's left her no option. She refuses to allow joint custody, and tells Sonny that she's turning the file of evidence against him over to Ric.

After the hearing begins and Ric continues to question Sonny about the legality of his business dealings, they are interrupted by a police officer who promptly arrests Sonny for RICO violations. Ric, Alexis, and Carly follow Sonny and the police to the station, where Ric promises to put Sonny away for good. John appears at the last minute, however, and confesses that he illegally obtained the file from Sonny's penthouse.

Despite Ric's warning of consequences, John officially admits to taking the evidence, and therefore makes it unusable against Sonny in any way.

Ric and Alexis must deal with the aftermath of John's confession, and they realize that the file of evidence will not affect Sonny. Ric tries to reassure Alexis that she can still beat Sonny in the custody trial, but Alexis's faith in the system wavers. Ric tries to prepare her for her own testimony, but Alexis doesn't think she can go through with it. Just as Ric is able to remind her that she is the parent that Kristina knows and loves, Sonny shows up and tells Alexis that he's going at her with everything he has to get full, sole custody of their daughter.

Ric assures Alexis that he has done everything possible to get a reduced sentence for Nikolas but he has a bad feeling about the outcome. Inside the courtroom, Emily is shocked when she realizes that a new Judge will be presiding over the case. As the Judge gets the hearing under way, Ric is surprised when the Judge waves aside Ric's recommendation for a light sentence for Nikolas. Everyone is stunned when the Judge expresses his view that Nikolas murdered an elderly family member in a callous and brutal manner and deserves the death penalty. When Emily and Alexis rise to defend Nikolas, the Judge declares that he will not have his court run by a bunch of rich people who believe that they can get away with murder and calls for a recess, announcing that he will listen to character witnesses later.

When court resumes, as Monica, Alan, Tracy and Alexis testify about Helena's murderous history, the Judge merely observes that murder seems to be a Cassadine family trait. When he takes the stand, Nikolas admits to the Judge that he has no regrets about permanently ridding himself of his lethal grandmother.

Everyone in the courtroom is stunned when Nikolas is sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Emily stands up and pleads with the judge to reconsider. The judge tells them that Nikolas killed someone without any remorse and should go to prison. The judge leaves without listening to Emily. Emily starts crying hysterically and pleads with Lucky to do something. Nikolas is lead away in handcuffs.

Alexis shows up to tell him she will get his sentence reduced. Ric also tries to assure him he will do what he can to get the sentence reduced to at least 10 years with parole since the judge didn't know all the facts of the case so soon. Nikolas acts like he is giving up.

Sonny and Ric discover that Kristina is missing from her hospital room. Alexis attempts to sneak Kristina out of the hospital and is nearly caught by Carly. Both men realize immediately what has happened, but Ric is able to stop Sonny from calling the police to track down Alexis and Kristina. Ric promises that he'll find Alexis and return her within an hour, so Sonny allows Ric the time before he notifies the authorities that Alexis has run off with their daughter.

Although he doesn't call the authorities, Sonny does call his attorney, and Jordan smacks her lips at the opportunity to seal Alexis's fate with a kidnapping charge. Sonny won't allow Jordon to take any action until the hour is up, however, and during that time Ric is able to track Alexis down at Jax's apartment, and convince her not to leave the country with Kristina. Ric promises her that he'll help her, and assures her that he'll be there for her and her fight for custody is not over. He warns her if she runs, though, she'll be handing Kristina over to Sonny. Alexis listens, and they return Kristina to the hospital where Sonny and Jordan are waiting. Ric blasts Sonny for calling the attorney, and Jordan and Sonny predict a win in court the next day.

Alexis cries over her daughter in the hospital as she faces the harsh reality that Sonny might win custody of Kristina. Ric promises her that he won't let it happen, and asks her to have faith in him. Back in court, Jordan plans to use everything she can to win Sonny custody, but Ric throws a wrench in her plans when he puts Alexis on the stand and has her admit outright that she took Kristina and planned to leave the country. Alexis again pleads for the right to keep her daughter safe from Sonny's life, and Jordan does her best to paint Alexis as the dangerous parent. In a last-ditch effort, Ric puts Sonny back on the stand and gets him to admit that Kristina is safe and happy with her mother. Jordan crosses, expecting Sonny to counter that the girl belongs with him, but Sonny surprises everyone when he suggests that the best thing for Kristina is joint custody.

In court, as Ric cross-examines Sonny, Sonny admits that he believes that Alexis is truly committed to the best interests of her daughter, even though Alexis has made many decisions that Sonny is not able to understand. When Sonny declares that he believes that joint custody would be in Kristina's best interests, Alexis replies that she believes that joint custody is totally unacceptable. Alexis again explains that Sonny is not really a Coffee Importer but a mob boss whose violent lifestyle would constantly put Kristina in danger. When court recesses, Ric tries to convince Alexis that shared custody would be better than turning Kristina over to Sonny full time.

When Ric and Alexis return to the courtroom, Alexis re-emphasizes her concern for Kristina's safety, but agrees to share custody with Sonny. Sonny agrees to let Kristina continue to live with Alexis so long as Sonny can have unlimited visitation. The Judge and Alexis agree to Sonny's suggestion. After court adjourns, Ric assures Alexis that, once Sonny has exercised his 'power over' Kristina's life, Sonny will end up seeing Kristina as infrequently as Sonny now sees Michael and Morgan. However, when Alexis approaches Sonny about scheduling visitation, Sonny tells Alexis that he wants nothing to do with a schedule, and declares that he wants to see his daughter any time he wants, beginning that very moment. After Sonny leaves the courtroom, Alexis breaks down in tears. Afterward, Sonny and Alexis visit Kristina in the little girl's hospital room and Alexis lets Sonny hold Kristina. Then Alexis reluctantly leaves the room.

Durant runs into Ric outside of Kelly's. Durant tells Ric that he shouldn't just give up on going after Sonny and bringing charges against him in the future. He suggests that he take the evidence they had and use it to find more evidence. Ric interrupts Durant and informs him that he has now been suspended as a prosecutor and won't be involved in any investigation for awhile. Durant tells him he should still go after Sonny and he will help him and keep his name out of it and give Ric all the credit. Ric tells him he isn't interested and walks off.

Ric and Alexis hug in relief as Kristina is finally being released from the hospital. Sonny shows up and demands to take Kristina home that evening to his house. Ric and Alexis oppose this idea and believe its best for Kristina to go home to what is familiar, to her own room and her bed and toys. Sonny points out that Alexis has already kept him from his daughter for two years and he doesn’t want to miss another minute! Alexis tells him this isn’t about him but about what is best for Kristina and refuses to let him take Kristina.

Sonny’s attorney arrives and threathens to call the judge and rescind the shared custody agreement if Alexis refuses to cooperate. Alexis offers that she will take Kristina to Sonny’s for a few hours so she can get familiar with his house, get to know Michael and Morgan and then they will pick Kristina up so she can sleep at home her first night after the hospital. Sonny reluctantly agrees, “This time.”

Alexis and Ric take Kristina to Sonny’s and he welcomes her, “Welcome home, Kristina!” Sonny introduces Kristina to Michael and Morgan, and they are going to decorate the tree together. Sonny offers to drop Kristina off when he takes his boys to Carly’s. Alexis refuses as she doesn’t want Kristina riding in Sonny’s car as they tend to explode! He says okay for tonight, but she will ride with him to her christening. Alexis is flabbergasted by this suggestion and her and Ric leave and she insists she isn’t agreeing to anything. Out in the hallway, Alexis fumes to Ric that Kristina is going to be spending a lot of time with her brothers, “the little mobsters in training and I’m sure by the time I get back here, she will be referring to herself Daddy’s little mobsterette!”

She is annoyed by the big tree, and all of the presents under the tree for Kristina. She feels he is trying to buy Kristina. Alexis tells Ric that not only are they going to be celebrating Christmas but they are going to out Christmas Sonny! They head off to the forest to cut down a live Christmas tree, one that is vivid green while Sonny’s will be dried up and brown. He warns her that if they don’t find a tree soon they will be chopping off his frozen toes. She refuses the trees as being too small and insists they keep looking. He begs that Kristina isn’t going to care how big the tree is and his face is now frozen! He says she is only 2 ½ feet tall and everything is big to her! Alexis finally sees the perfect tree and jubilantly demands that Ric start cutting it down, as she jumps up and down in excitement. He huffs and puffs as he is sawing away, when he stops she demands he continue! He begs for a chance to catch a breath. She grabs the saw and resumes sawing, and makes the final cut and the tree falls, right on Ric! He begs for her to leave him there to die and then informs her that it is customary to call out, “Timber!”.

They look around and realize that nothing looks familiar and they have no idea which way the car is! Ric loses it at this point, “That’s just great, we are in a blizzard, the temperature is dropping but we got a big tree!”

Alexis and Ric find an abandoned cabin to warm up in. Alexis insists on dragging in the Christmas tree they cut down. Ric accuses Alexis of being an insecure person because she wants to better Sonny as far as how much she can give to Kristina for Christmas. He tells her that Kristina will love her no matter how many presents she gives her or how big a Christmas tree she brings home. Alexis worries that Sonny will spoil Kristina so much this Christmas that Kristina won't want to live with her. Ric tells her to stop being so neurotic and obsessive about Kristina. Alexis tells him off and the two of them decide to get an annulment since they haven't consummated their marriage yet anyway. Alexis can't find a pen in her purse so she takes out her lipstick to write out an annulment agreement on the tablecloth for them to sign. Ric's fingers are too numb to sign his name so Alexis takes the tube of lipstick and puts it between his teeth to sign that way. Ric manages to sign it.

Ric goes over to start a fire in the woodstove in the cabin. He only has an old newspaper to start the fire with. He eyes the tree as kindling and Alexis sees what he has in mind and jumps on top of the Christmas tree to keep him from using it to start the fire. Ric tries to pull her off the tree but she refuses to give it up. Ric gives up and looks around for something outside to use like a tree branch. He doesn't find anything so he looks around and finds a big blanket behind the wall and wraps himself around it. He tells Alexis he doesn't need the tree and will stay warm in the blanket and she can freeze with her tree if she wants. Alexis gets cold enough to start pacing back and forth. Ric feels bad seeing her shiver and pace that he invites her to share the blanket with him. She takes him up on his offer. They snuggle up together out of necessity.

Alexis is calm again and tells Ric that she is sorry about their argument and admits he is right about her being neurotic and difficult to be around. Ric is surprised by her admission and admits he can be an overbearing ass too. Alexis can't help but laugh at his comment about himself. Alexis admits that he is pretty nice to her even when she acts crazy and difficult and that most people probably wouldn't be able to put up with her but he seems to do it. He tells her that he acts insane too and that the two of them probably make a great pair. Ric tells her they already signed an agreement to get their marriage annulled and asks what they should do. Alexis tells him that they never filed it yet. Ric tells her that there is one way that they can annul the annulment. Alexis looks at him and gets his meaning. Ric leans in and kisses her and the two of them make out under the covers of the blanket.

Ric and Alexis are snuggled under a blanket having consummated their marriage. Sonny worries about Alexis’ whereabouts as he knows Alexis would never have left Kristina with him for a moment longer than necessary. Alexis starts to panic when she realizes that Sonny is going to have Kristina’s christening that day. They each compare their Christmas remembrances, neither had much in the way of childhood holidays. Alexis bemoans the tree, she loved that tree and asks, “Did you have to burn it?” Ric points out they had to burn the tree so the smoke could be seen by any rescuers.

Sonny and Jax have teamed up to save them and fly in by helicopter. Sonny tells them that they didn’t show up and didn’t call, and he would never have had the christening without Alexis. Sonny tells Alexis that Kristina will be baptized Catholic and raised in that religion. Alexis is relieved to be reunited with Kristina. Sam gives Courtney a christening gown she had bought for her daughter.

Everyone gathers in the church for the event. Mike, Sam, Jason arrive. Sonny tells Sam that he appreciates what their daughter did to save Kristina and then he makes nice with Mike. Sonny introduces Carly as the Godmother to the priest. Alexis questions Sonny’s choice but Sonny points out that Carly is the mother of Kristina’s two brothers and a Godmother is a child’s special protector and he knows that Carly can do that. Then he proposes Jason as Kristina’s Godfather and Alexis says no that she wants Ric. Sonny points out that Ric is already Kristina’s stepfather. Alexis says that if he wants her to accept Carly as the Godmother then he has to accept Ric as the Godfather. Kristina's christening comes to a peaceful end.

The annual Christmas montage follows as Jason & Emily stargaze, a sad Nik sits in his prison garb, the Quartermaines and the Scorpios at the GH Christmas party, Geogie and Dillon kiss under the mistletoe, Lucky and Liz with Audrey and baby Cameron, Durant as Santa with a group of children, Ric and Alexis with Krisinta, Sam sadly lights a candle for her lost daughter, Mike kisses Courtney, and Michael hands Kristina a flower.

Carly has gone apartment shopping and makes an offer to sublet an apartment. She learns that Carly is Mrs. Sonny Corinthos and calls the police. Ric arrives, and is amused by the situation. He decides to help Carly out, and assures the woman that Carly only needs the place to help Ric get control of mob crime in the area. Feeling it's her civic duty, the woman immediately decides to give her place to Carly, and explains she's off to her winter home anyway.

Alexis is stunned when she opens her apartment door and discovers Ric and all that is left of his worldly possessions, standing on her doorstep. Ric explains that, since Carly destroyed Ric's apartment with the fire to get rid of the D.A.'s evidence against Sonny, Ric needs a place to stay and Ric decided that the best plan for Ric would be to share an apartment with his wife. When Ric realizes that Alexis is clearly unsettled by Ric's assumption that he will be moving in with his wife, Ric challenges Alexis to make a clear decision. Ric reminds Alexis that, since they have consummated their marriage, they can no longer obtain a quick annulment.

Alexis argues that living separately could be the secret to insuring a happy marriage. As Alexis explains her history of commitment phobia, Ric kisses Alexis, then agrees to leave. However, before Ric can leave, Alexis orders Ric to come back inside the apartment and the two indulge in a steamy embrace and wind up making out admits all the boxes.

Jax hosts a lavish masquerade ball with most of Port Charles' movers and shakers as his guests. He shows off his newly renovated Metro Court Hotel, which stands on the site where the Port Charles Hotel stood before the tragic fire the year before. Alexis and Ric drop off Kristina at Sonny’s, he is babysitting all three children. Cute scene when Sonny is a bit overwhelmed and runs over to Jason’s for help. Ric and Alexis enjoy the party, though she is shocked when she sees Nikolas walk in as he is supposed to be in prison. Emily explains that it is actually Connor pretending to be Nik to try to entrap Helena.

When Ric and a drunken Alexis return to pick up Kristina, Sonny suggests that it might be a good idea for Kristina to spend the night with him at the penthouse. Sonny schemes to use Alexis's drunkenness to force her into letting Kristina go with him and the kids on a vacation to his island.

Ric has Alexis' schedule cleared for two weeks and asked Alexis to come with him on "their" honeymoon. Alexis agrees, only to freak out when he tells her it's a ski resort. She doesn't like the idea of falling in the cold snow, or broken bones. Ric laughs at her and points out the private spa and massages, and she warms up to the idea. Sonny has other plans, however. He has clothes delivered to Kristina for their trip to his island. Alexis is furious, and she leaves with Ric to go tell Sonny no. When they get to Sonny's, his lawyer is there, and Alexis firmly tells them both that Kristina is not leaving the country.

At Sonny's Penthouse, Alexis coldly informs Sonny that Kristina has an appointment with a prestigious pre-school and will not be able to go to the island with him. Sonny insists that Kristina will go to Queen of Angels when she is ready for preschool. Alexis argues that, since Sonny got his way with Kristina's baptism, it is time for Sonny to give in and let Alexis go ahead with arrangements already made for Kristina's education.

Ric explains that Alexis called in a lot of favors to even get an interview for Kristina and Sonny appears to be giving in. After Ric and Alexis leave, however, Sonny explains to Jordan that he believes that Alexis is not really headed for a designer preschool for Kristina and that the whole lecture about Kristina's education was nothing more than a ploy to keep Sonny and Kristina apart. When Ric and Alexis arrive home, Alexis admits that Kristina doesn’t have an appointment at the posh preschool, but Alexis is desperate to have Kristina admitted to the school by the end of the day, and Alexis begins making frantic phone calls.

At the same time, Sonny confides to Jordan that, rather than become involved in legal maneuvering to force Alexis to comply with Sonny's wishes, Sonny, instead, intends to give Alexis a taste of her own medicine. Later, when Alexis arrives at the preschool for Kristina's appointment with the principal, Alexis is appalled to discover that Sonny is already there and has made a sizeable donation to the school. The principal announces that Kristina's acceptance at the preschool is assured, that Kristina does not need to be evaluated for admittance and that the little girl is free to join her father and brothers for their vacation at the beach.

Complaining about Sonny's inability to respect the boundaries of any other person in the world, Alexis reports Sonny's end run to Ric. Ric then assures Alexis that Ric has some plans for neutralizing Sonny, which he will put in motion right away. Ric comes home and tells Alexis that he just put a bid on a new home for them called Greystone. He shows her a picture. Alexis is more concerned about Sonny taking Kristina on the island for a vacation to really be enthused about the house.

Meanwhile, Jordan shows up at Sonny's and tells him she still hasn't changed her mind about going with him on the island. She tells him that someone put a bid on the estate that they were looking at earlier that Michael wanted him to buy.

Ric shows up to talk to Sonny alone. He asks Sonny to hold off on taking Kristina on vacation with him and allow her to spend time with her things in her home first since she just got out of the hospital. Ric mentions that he put a bid on the estate called "Greystone." Sonny notices that is the same home that Jordan mentioned Michael wanted him to buy and realizes Ric is the one who bid on the same house. At first Sonny resents Ric's interference in his plans to take Kristina on vacation but changes his mind and tells Ric he will take Kristina next time to the island. Ric is suspicious when Sonny agrees with Ric suddenly but Sonny tells him he is right about not disrupting Kristina's life right now with a vacation. Ric thanks Sonny and leaves.

Sonny calls Jordan right after Ric leaves. He tells her he wants that house they talked about and doesn't care how much it will cost him to buy it. Ric goes home and tells Alexis he got Sonny to change his plans regarding the vacation. Alexis is very pleased and kisses him, unaware that Sonny has his own agenda.

Ric is confronting Sonny about buying the house after Ric was had already bid on it. Ric tells him that with the holidays, he forgot that he and Sonny are enemies and thanks him for reminding him! Carly and Alexis run into each other at GH, Alexis complains about Sonny buying the house that her and Ric planned on living in. Carly informs Alexis that Sonny bought the house that Michael picked out. When Steven stops by and asks Carly to lunch, Alexis admits its unsettling that Carly is dating Kristina’s doctor. Carly informs her that it's none of her business who Carly dates. They are interrupted when Sonny and Ric show up. Sonny is there because Jordan was beat up and robbed, which sets off Alexis as she blames Sonny for this latest violent attack.

Alexis arrives to take Emily to see Nikolas in prison, but Connor immediately objects. Emily questions him on it, and he tells her it's too dangerous and Helena might follow her and realize that Nikolas is still in prison. Alexis agrees with him, but Emily won't listen. She tells them that she's going to visit Nikolas regardless of what anyone says, and she does.

Ric runs into the lab tech who told him about Kristina's true paternity, and the tech attempts to blackmail him. Ric threatens to kill the man if he ever tells the truth, and goes on his way. He sees Liz at Kelly's and asks her if she thinks he's changed. Liz sits with him, and admits it's clear that he didn't just marry Alexis to get back at Sonny, but that he really cares for her and Kristina. Ric thanks Liz for her kind words and returns to find Alexis at home. Unbeknownst to Ric, the lab tech paid Alexis a visit and told her the truth, so when Ric arrives home he finds a stone-faced Alexis. She accuses him of always knowing about Kristina's father, and tells him that he used her.

Ric admits that in the beginning when he first found out that Sonny was Kristina’s father that it was about Sonny. She is shocked when he admits it, hurt and tears shimmering in her eyes. Ric tells her that over time being with her became more important than getting back at Sonny. He tries to tell her that he honestly fell in love with her and it was no longer about Sonny. She wants to know when he planned on telling her? Alexis is stubborn, and Ric accuses her of using any excuse to get rid of him. Ric leaves after telling her she'll wake up in the middle of the night and realize she's alone. Alexis comforts herself cuddling with Kristina, and admits that she wishes Ric were there with them.

Ric goes over to Sonny's new house and walks in. Jordan is there and wonders if he realized he was breaking and entering. Ric looks lost, and mentions that he wanted to see what Sonny took right out from underneath him. Jordan rationalizes that Ric and Alexis will find another house, and Ric tells her there is no more "Ric and Alexis". Ric pours his heart out to Jordan, who lends a listening ear.

Alexis worries that Kristina is spending too much time with Sonny's family and that the Corinthos influence could spell trouble for her daughter. Although Ric is trying desperately to regain Alexis's trust, they remain estranged.

As Ric learns that Jordan has left Port Charles for Sonny's Island, Jordan arrives on Sonny's Island and informs her client that, since Ric and Alexis are separated, Sonny should sue immediately for sole custody of Kristina. A mysterious stranger lurks at Sonny's new house. Later, Security Officer Stan reports to Sonny that there is a glitch in the security system for the new house, while the mysterious stranger watches Stan on a hidden camera

Later, on the island, as Sonny and Michael discuss the possibility of Kristina living with Sonny, Ric suddenly arrives and appeals to Sonny NOT to take advantage of Ric's split with Alexis to try to gain custody of Kristina. Although Sonny rips Ric for Ric's dubious motives for marrying Alexis, Ric continues to argue that Ric has come to truly care for Alexis and Kristina and that it is obviously best for Kristina to remain in the secure home that Alexis has provided since the little girl's birth. But Sonny coldly brushes aside all of Ric's arguments.

While Bridget speaks to Kristina and her nanny outside Kelly's, the mysterious stranger lurks in the bushes and watches Kristina. Ric comes into Kelly’s and takes Brooklyn and Kristina over to the house.

Alexis blasts Sonny for taking Kristina to view his house and not arranging it with her first. Sonny brushes her off, and refuses to allow her to dampen his mood. Alexis gathers up Kristina to leave, but Sonny instead wants to take his daughter to open her present. Alexis protests Sonny's spoiling of their daughter, but Carly warns her not to spoil the moment.

Rexis #3B Alexis objects to Sonny showering Kristina with presents every time she comes over, it takes the special out of special occasion and to just give it time for Kristina to get to know her father. He tells Alexis that one reason he bought the house is so Alexis won’t worry while Kristina is spending time with him. Meanwhile, bad guy is outside trying to abduct Kristina by making friendly and giving her back Angelbear. Michael comes running while playing tag with Max and mystery guy takes off unseen. Alexis is surprised to see Angelbear and wonders where it came from. She makes Sonny promise that Kristina will not be allowed outside without adult supervision.

As Alexis phones Ric to quiz him about Kristina suddenly finding her lost Angelbear, Alexis cuts her call short when she realizes that Samantha has come into Kelly's and is sitting beside Kristina. Alexis quickly returns to Kristina and Sam suddenly begins to unburden herself about the sad loss of baby Hope, now that the baby's biological mother has decided that Bridget wants her baby after all. As Alexis and Samantha talk, the mysterious stranger watches through a window, then phones a report to his boss that he will not be able to make a move on Kristina until later.

Michael has been thinking about the suddenly return of Kristina’s bear, and tells Sonny and Jason that Kristina was standing by the front gate, and Max chased him around and when they came back she was holding the bear. Michael worries that a bad person has been there. Sonny quizzes Max about Kristina's bear and discovers that Max did leave the little girl unguarded for a minute. He cautions Max that even 30 seconds is too long. Sonny sends Jason to look for signs of an intruder, then cautions Michael about speaking to strangers and urges Michael to keep an eye on his sister as well. All the while, the mysterious stranger eavesdrops on all of their conversations via the hidden cameras.

Alexis meets with Ned at the new Metro Court Hotel. She asks him if he would be willing to watch Kristina for a couple of days for her. Ned tells her that he has to go out of town on L&B business and can't cancel it. Sonny overhears her request and says, “What about me?” He asks her why she didn't ask him to watch his own daughter. Alexis tells him that he sees enough of her already. Sonny reminds her that the judge told them he can see Kristina as much as he wants since he has unlimited visitation rights and leaves. The mysterious man watches their exchange from a nearby table.

Alexis ends up bringing Kristina to Sonny's new mansion. She tells Sonny that she changed her mind and that Kristina can stay with him for a couple of days. He teases her about only bringing Kristina there because she couldn't find another babysitter. Alexis reluctantly tells him that she needs a couple of days to be alone with Ric to mend her marriage. Sonny continues to tease her but stops when she asks him to stop looking so smug with her because he was right about something. She tells him she would like them to stop arguing and think of what is best for Kristina for a change. Sonny agrees to that and tells her she is starting to come along finally. She tells him that she knows he loves their daughter but still doesn't believe it is totally safe for Kristina to be with him but that she knows he would protect her at all costs with his life if he had to. They are still unaware that they are being watched from security monitor somewhere in Sonny's new mansion.

Ric goes to the hospital after Lucky has been shot by Helena. She has disappeared once again, and everyone is devastated when Lucky slips into a coma. At Sonny's mansion, everyone remains in chaos as the security system continues to act up. The power goes out, and Sonny grows angry and demands the system be shut down so that a new one can be installed. Jason is called over to help with the kids and the workmen, and they begin to shut off the security.

As Michael gets popcorn in the kitchen, and Brook is distracted in the hallway talking on the phone to Diego, a sleeping Kristina is alone in the bedroom. Sam breaks into the yard of Sonny's house, and slips inside the bedroom to sit and look at a sleeping Kristina. Brook then finishes her phone call and walks back in the bedroom only to discover that Kristina is missing. She begins screaming for help, and Jason and Sonny rush up and realize their worst nightmare is coming true. The mystery man and woman kidnapped Kristina.

Sonny goes ballistic, then he worries about Michael's whereabouts and races with Jason downstairs to find Michael. Sonny demands that the guards lock down the house

After a couple of glasses of champagne, Alexis takes her horror story at a lingerie shop as a sign of what's going on with her and Ric. Ric goes along with the sign watching, proposing that if this phone call wasn't important, it would be a sign for them to go out to dinner. Alexis answers the phone and the sound of Sonny's voice on the other end telling her that Kristina had been kidnapped silences her.

Alexis goes to the house and confronts Sonny face to face, lashing out all her anger on his mob persona that she knew would put Kristina in danger. Ric holds Alexis back as she threatens Sonny's life if Kristina is hurt. Ric calms Alexis down long enough to convince her that involving the police could only make things worse, that she and Sonny were more than capable to deal with the kidnapper.

They go up to the room that Kristina was sleeping in when she was taken. Brooklyn apologizes to Alexis, she is deeply sorry. Alexis warns that when the get Kristina back, Sonny will have Kristina again! Ric accuses Alexis of planning Kristina's kidnapping to prevent her from spending time with Sonny, he understands and promises to keep her secret. Alexis denies his suspicions and says she would never do that to Kristina. The kidnapper zooms in on Alexis and Kristina brushes her fingers over her mother's face on the monitor.

Alexis tries to convince a skeptical Ric that she had nothing to do with Kristina's kidnapping and is deeply hurt that Ric would be more interested in suspecting Alexis than in getting the police involved in quickly recovering her daughter from the kidnappers. All the while, the kidnapper watches all of them through the hidden cameras. Kristina plays quietly with all of her brand new toys.

Ric continues to plead with Alexis to level with him about Kristina, but Alexis angrily denies kidnapping Kristina and storms out of the room. The kidnapper watches as Ric and Alexis continue to argue at the estate's gate and Ric tries to prevent Alexis from running away from the mansion. Ric argues that, even if he is wrong in his suspicions, Alexis will still need Ric's help to prevent everyone else from leaping to the conclusion that Alexis kidnapped her own daughter. However, Alexis runs out of the gate without listening to Ric's arguments.

Sonny and Jason have learned about the hidden camera system, they return to the living room, just as a woman in a black leather coat joins the kidnapper who is watching the camera monitor. Sonny stands in front of a mirror and addresses the kidnapper through one of the hidden cameras. Sonny offers $5 million for Kristina's safe return. Sonny also warns the kidnapper that returning Kristina immediately is the only way the kidnapper will be able to remain alive.

Then Sonny smashes the mirror and exposes the hidden camera. Jason tries to stop Sonny but Sonny angrily orders Jason to find the rest of the cameras and rip them out just as Ric opens the door to the study and overhears this threath. Before Ric can speak to Sonny, Ned arrives at the front door to pick up Brook Lynn. Ric explains about Kristina's kidnapping and Ned is appalled when he learns that the police have not been called in yet. Ned accuses Ric of trying to protect Sonny by allowing Sonny to deal with the situation in his own way and then Ned announces that he plans to take Brook Lynn downtown right away so that Ned's daughter can make a statement a bout the kidnapping to the police. Then Ned pushes past Ric in an attempt to confront Sonny.

Jason reports back to Sonny that all of the cameras have been disabled. Just as Sonny theorizes that the cameras might have nothing to do with the kidnapping, Alexis returns and suggests that perhaps Sam was the one who kidnapped Kristina. Alexis then describes her meeting with Sam, when Sam suggested that being able to be around Kristina would help Sam adjust to her losses and Alexis had refused Sam's request. Ric and Ned argue on the stairs and Ned suddenly suggests that, perhaps, it was Alexis who kidnapped Kristina? Ned continues that perhaps Ric has not called the police yet because Ric is protecting Alexis! When Ric denies knowing that Alexis might be involved in the kidnapping, Ned reminds Ric that Alexis has kidnapped Kristina before in order to protect her. Ric pleads with Ned not to go to the police with his suspicions until after Ric has had a chance to investigate and discover whether or not Alexis is involved. Ned agrees, but warns Ric that it is not really possible to protect Alexis from herself. Alexis continues to try to convince Sonny and Jason that Samantha might be the one who snatched Kristina.

Ned insists on calling the cops for help in finding Kristina but Ric tries to stop him from doing that and tells Ned that there is a possibility that Alexis may have staged the kidnapping to make Sonny's world appear unsafe for Kristina. Ned tells Ric that if she set this kidnapping up that means she meant to set up Brook Lynn and that is unacceptable to him. Ric tells Ned that Alexis may not have done that and he doesn't want the police to suspect her because if they can prove she did it Sonny will take Kristina away from her for good.

Jason gets a phone call from Sam, telling him she is in trouble and needs help, however, she hangs up before Jason can find out more about where she is. Sonny asks him who called him. Jason is evasive at first but admits that Sam called and said she was in trouble. Sonny and Alexis come to the conclusion that it means that Sam kidnapped Kristina and is having second thoughts. Jason refuses to jump to that conclusion and insists Sam wouldn't kidnap Kristina. Alexis and Sonny disagree with it. Sonny accuses Jason of being biased because he is in love with Sam and doesn't want to believe that she could kidnap Kristina. Sonny suggests that Sam could have snapped and for good reason after losing two babies she loved. Jason refuses to believe it. Alexis tells Jason that if he doesn't go out and find Sam and bring her baby back, she will be calling the cops. Jason refuses to hunt Sam down like she is a criminal.

Ric comes in the room and picks up the phone. He calls the cops. Sonny nods to Ric that he won't stop him from calling. Jason is shocked when he sees Sonny allowing Ric to make the call. He asks Sonny why he would trust the cops to help them. Sonny doesn't say a word. Mac and a uniformed cop show up along with Steven, everyone starts pointing fingers at everyone else and a big argument occurs. Mac wants to know why they waited so long to call the cops. Sonny tells him that he was waiting for a ransom demand. Mac asks him if there was one. Sonny tells him he hasn't heard from them yet.

Alexis tells Mac that Sam called Jason and said she was in trouble and needed his help and that she has motive for kidnapping Kristina. Jason tells Alexis she has no proof Sam kidnapped Kristina. Meanwhile, Kristina continues to play in a room somewhere in the mansion with the kidnapper's right-hand man watching her. Mac tells Jason he wants to know everything Sam told him on the phone. Mac has Steven go upstairs and look for any forensic evidence that could have been left behind in Sonny's bedroom by the kidnapper. Steven finds a piece of long dark hair near where the safe is and where some money was left on the floor. He puts it in an evidence bag. Steven brings it to the lab to compare to hair found on Sam's hairbrush at Kelly's. He apologizes to Alexis for suspecting her of kidnapping Kristina to get her away from Sonny. Alexis tells him she wishes he had more faith in her but understands why he may suspect her since she wasn't very forthcoming about where she was when Kristina had been kidnapped.

Ric gets a call from Steven about the results on the piece of hair found in Sonny's room. Ric and Alexis go and find Sonny and Jason and tell them that Sam's hair matched the hair found in Sonny's room. Jason decides to go and find Sam when Ric has an APB put out on Sam and Mac orders her to be arrested on the spot. Jason takes off before anyone can stop him and Alexis worries that he will find Sam and cover for her and take her away. Sonny tells Alexis that Jason wouldn't do that even if he does love Sam, he wants answers to. Ric agrees with Sonny that Jason wouldn't do that.

Jason gets to the bus station just as Sam is ready to board a bus to go to New York City. He tells her she can't run away and that she needs to let him help her. Before Jason can explain what is going on, the cops show up and push Sam to the ground and handcuff her. They tell her she is under arrest for the kidnapping of Kristina. Jason is thrown against the wall and detained when he tries to stop the cops from arresting her.

Sam sits calmly at the interrogation room as Ric informs her that the forensics evidence is stacked up against her, placing her in Sonny's room around the time of Kristina's kidnapping. Still, Sam pleads her innocence, saying that she would never do anything to harm Kristina. Sonny walks in, sure that he could get her to admit. Sam knows that Sonny doesn't believe that she would kidnap Kristina, but Sonny's anger takes over, demanding Sam to tell him what she did with Kristina. Sam "swears on their dead baby's soul" that she had nothing to do with Kristina's kidnapping; but Sonny still isn't convinced, enraged that she would swear a "lie" on baby Lila's soul.

Sonny leaves the room in frustration, and Alexis takes over, convinced that Sam kidnapped Kristina to get back at her. Alexis tells Sam that she knows that Kristina wouldn't be alive without Sam's baby and Sam acknowledges that as well as admitting how much she cares for Kristina. Sam even admits that it's true that she's envious of Alexis when she sees her and Kristina, but that she would never do anything that would harm Kristina or take Kristina from her parents. But Sam really opens up to Jason, telling him that all she did was steal the money from the vault to pay for an illegal adoption. Sam wanted to go back to Jason with a baby that no one could take away from her, but found out that it would not be an easy task, which is where the trouble she's currently in lies. Jason leaves the interrogation room and urges Sonny, Ric, and Alexis that the only way they will find Kristina is if they let Sam go.

Sonny pulls a gun on a mystery woman who turns out to be an FBI expert on child kidnappings. Ric and Alexis arrive in time to show Reese a ransom note that was found in Sam's things, and all of them return to the police station to further question Sam. She continues to deny she had anything to do with Kristina's disappearance, but it doesn't appear that anyone believes her. Sonny warns Jason to stop thinking with his heart and instead think with his head, but Jason storms off. All of them return to the mansion to walk through Sam's version of her actions. Ric trips her up in her story, and they all further decide that she's guilty.

Although Sonny is now convinced of Sam's innocence, Alexis still isn't so sure. Once she's alone, she falls to pieces. Faith sits in the hidden room, gently rocking Kristina, gloating that her scheme to avenge Sonny, Alexis and Ric is moving along nicely. Faith explains to the little girl that Faith is planning revenge because Sonny, Ric and Alexis are responsible for railroading Faith into prison.

In the PCPD interrogation room, Alexis implores Sonny to help her locate Samantha and Jason and recover Kristina. But Sonny insists that he is convinced that Sam had nothing to do with Kristina's kidnapping. Ric, John and Reese argue about Sonny's possible involvement in the kidnapping. Reese asks Sonny to give her the locations of all of Sonny's safe houses so Reese can search all of them for signs of Kristina, but Sonny refuses to cooperate.

Alexis confides to Ric that she believes that Sonny is covering up for Sam and is in denial about Sam's possible involvement in Kristina's kidnapping. However, Ric argues that, as devoted as Jason is to Sonny, it would be highly unlikely that Jason would be willing to help Sam carry out a kidnapping that could endanger the life of one of Sonny's children. However, Alexis brushes aside Ric's logic and rushes away. After she returns home, Alexis finds one of Kristina's toys in the little girl's room and breaks down in tears. Ric orders the police to search every property owned by Sonny or Jason, in an effort to find Jason Sonny receives a photograph of Kristina and instructions from Faith as to what he should do next.

Alexis sees Sam, in disguise, talking to Monica at GH. Alexis follows her into the stairwell. Alexis tries to stop Sam and falls down the stairs. The fall has knocked Alexis out. Sam tries to leave, but fears Alexis could be hurt, so she waits until someone else enters the stairwell. Brook arrives to run an errand, and Sam begs her to get help for Alexis. At first Brook protests, but she finally agrees and calls for help for Alexis while Sam runs back with Jason's medications. Tony admits Alexis to the hospital for observation, and refuses to allow her to leave without further tests.

Later, as Alexis grows impatient for being kept in a hospital bed, Tony stuns her with the news that she's pregnant. Dr. Meadows tells Alexis that she must avoid stress or risk her unborn baby's life. When Sonny goes off on Alexis for tipping Reese about his meeting with the kidnapper, Ric tells his brother to back down because Alexis is pregnant. Unaware that it's Faith on the other end of the line, Sonny gets a call from the kidnapper with their ransom demands. Sonny gets the proof he wanted that Kristina is alive when he sees her via a webcam.

Alexis is terrified that her baby is in troubled when she starts to cramp. Dr. Meadows comes in and helps Ric get Alexis back in bed. She runs some tests and asks Ric to step out while she examines her. Elizabeth finds him pacing outside Alexis' room. She asks him if Alexis is going to be okay Ric tells Elizabeth that he has already become attached to this new baby already. Elizabeth gives him some moral support. Ric goes back in to see Alexis.

Dr. Meadows tells Alexis that she has a high-risk pregnancy and will have to have two weeks bed rest or she is in danger of miscarrying. Alexis promises him she will do her best to take care of their baby but that she doesn't know if she can stay in bed for two weeks while Kristina is still not found. Ric tells her that just because she is in bed doesn't mean that she doesn't love her Kristina any less. Ric tells her that he loves Kristina like she was his own daughter.

Sam goes to see Alexis, Alexis apologizes to Sam for accusing her of kidnapping Kristina and thanks her for getting help for her when she fell down the stairs. Sam tells her she is glad she is okay and doesn't blame her for accusing her since she was very upset. Alexis tells her she is pregnant and has to rest in bed for two weeks. Sam congratulates her and leaves her to rest.

Alexis ends up being wheeled by a nurse to get some tests done. The nurse forgets something and leaves Alexis in the elevator alone to wait. Carly sees the elevator door opened and walks in to find Alexis there. Alexis wishes she wasn't in the elevator. Carly goes to push the elevator button and the elevator stops moving and jams up. Alexis tells Carly that since she isn’t supposed to have any stress that she perhaps they shouldn’t even talk. Carly looks at her in surprise, Alexis admits that she is pregnant with Ric’s baby. Carly is uncharacteristically speechless.

Ric shows up later at Jason's room to find that Jason is dressed and ready to go out. Ric asks them if they are planning to go find the kidnapper. Back at the park, Sonny receives another phone call from the kidnapper,Faith, to bring $5 million to some address. Sonny demands to see proof that Kristina is alive before he hands over the money. Faith tells him in a disguised voice to go to the address in ten minutes and she will give him his proof. Sonny and Reese show up at the address and find only a room with a video monitor. Sonny sees Kristina on the monitor. Reese tells him that it may be that Kristina is being filmed on a webcam.

Alexis breaks down in the elevator and Carly tries to calm her down. Alexis is upset because she has to stay in the hospital while her little girl is missing. Alexis thanks Carly for calming her down just before the elevator door opens to a suspicious Ric. When Ric tells Alexis and Carly about the lead on Faith that Jason is going to check, Carly is convinced that Faith is out to get revenge from all of them, not just Sonny. Ric mediates Carly and Alexis by assuring them that it's still uncertain if Faith even has anything to do with it. Alexis sits in her wheelchair in the lobby of the hospital, and Steven gives his congratulations on the baby and gives her a small gift. Ric sits on the sofa next to watch her open her gift from him: a diamond studded heart necklace. Ric tells Alexis, "you're giving me a baby, I owe you my heart."

Ric has a lead on Faith and knows that if she's back in the country, the five families will know and talk to him tonight at their meeting. When Jason decides to help out, Ric tells him to do whatever he can to save Kristina.

Sonny meets with Faith’s accomplice. Reese shoots him to protect Sonny. Sonny is furious as he accuses her of killing what might have been his only way to find Kristina. When his cell phone rings, Sonny recognizes Faith’s number and realizes she is behind the kidnapping. He answers the phone and demands the return of his daughter. Faith is very shook up that Sonny has discovered she was behind the kidnapping. Sonny agrees to a drop, the $5 million for Kristina. They enter a foggy cemetery, they see a figure emerge with a baby carriage. Justus walks forward with the bag of money, and sets it on the ground. The figure shoots Justus, and grabs the bag and runs, leaving the baby carriage where Sonny can chase after it. Reese grabs Justus as he hits the ground, while Sonny is stunned to look inside the stroller and finds only a doll.

As Jason and Sam continue to try and track Faith and Kristina, they come across a computer with tons of photographs connected to the kidnapping. They attempt to zero in on two people on the side of one of the photos, and Jason is sickened to realize the two people in the photograph are Michael and Morgan. Carly returns home to find all three bodyguards unconscious in the hallway. Terrified, she rushes into her apartment to find John bleeding and telling her that her boys are gone.

Ric encourages Alexis to stay strong, and reminds her that she remained strong throughout Kristina’s illness never let her daughter see how afraid she was. He encourages her that there are a lot of smart, dedicated people working round the clock to find Kristina. Alexis dreams of having Kristina back, Ric is holding their daughter, while Alexis is holding their new baby and Kristina comes up to see her new sister.

Ric overhears Durant and Reese talking and realizes that Michael and Morgan have also been kidnapped. Dr. Meadows has recommended to Ric to try to protect Alexis from finding out about Faith’s involvement in the kidnappings, and Michael and Morgan being taken as long as possible as further stress could cause a miscarriage. As soon as Alexis turns on the tv, a picture of Michael and Morgan is flashed on the screen. Ric hurriedly turns off the tv, but too late as Alexis realized they have also been kidnapped. She is terrified to learn that Faith has been behind the plot, that this is personal and revenge and not just about money. She wails to Ric that they will never get Kristina back.

While Ric is at the PD, Alexis leaves the hospital and goes to confront Sonny. She accuses Sonny that the children have been kidnapped because of him.

Ric brings Alexis back to the hospital to resume her bedrest. He learns that Faith is loose in the building (she had come to see Justice). When Sonny arrives, Mac demands that Sonny be escorted from the building. Ric refuses and says no that Sonny will remain, that is an order! Ric tells Mac to let Sonny do what he needs to do and to not interfere as they are his children that are kidnapped. Ric leaves to check on Alexis, and encounters Faith in the hallway.

Faith tells him that she kidnapped Kristina because of him more than because of Sonny since she would have been satisfied enough just to have kidnapped his sons. She admits to him that she was the one who pushed Elizabeth down the stairs when he was married to her and caused her to lose their child and she tells him she could easily do that again with Alexis. Ric realizes that Sonny was never to blame for that. Ric tries to stop her but she hits him with her gun and knocks him down to get away. Ric sits up and calls Mac on his cell-phone to tell him that Faith is on the fourth floor. Faith runs down the stairs but Sonny chases her and knocks her against the wall and points his gun at her and tells her to tell him where his kids are. She tells him he will never see his kids again.

Sonny chases Faith down the staircase and slams her into the door, points a gun at her head, demanding she tell him where his kids are. She tells him that if he kills her, his kids are dead, but Sonny is willing to take his chances. Alexis rushes down the staircase to stop Sonny, ensuing a struggle with the gun between Sonny and Faith that ends with the gun going off and Alexis going down. Faith scampers up the staircase with Sonny in hot pursuit; Ric rushes to his wife's aid, relieved to see that Alexis wasn't shot. Ric gets Alexis back into her bed and stresses that if she wants this baby, she needs to stay in bed. Alexis assures him that he wants their child, but doesn't regret stopping Sonny from killing Faith. Ric commends her, agreeing that he would've done the same thing.

On his way to the waiting room, Dr. Meadows tells Ric that he and Alexis need to be more concerned for the baby. Ric assures her that they will, and sighs as he sits on the sofa. Elizabeth walks over to him and gives him the pink bear that belongs to Kristina to give to Alexis. When Ric returns to the room, Alexis tells him of the dream she had that Kristina rubs her hand upon her cheek and tells Alexis that she's okay, and that Michael is taking care of her. Ric believes that her dream was a sign that Kristina is safe, and hands the bear over to her. Alexis pulls Ric to him in a hug, holding the bear tight in her hands.

Later, Durant unleashes on Ric at the hospital, and tells Ric that Faith is really after him. Alexis refuses to buy Durant's story, but he leaves Ric visibly shaken. Alexis does her best to remind Ric that none of it is his fault, and she begs him to shake off Durant's attempts to rattle him so that he can be strong for her. Ric remains unconvinced, but is willing to put it aside for Alexis's sake.

Sonny and Jason surround Faith's henchman in his room, and Jason begins to beat him in order to get him to talk. It takes a crazed Sonny holding a loaded gun to his chest to get him to finally admit that Faith is at an abandoned church with the children, and Jason, Sonny, and Reese all head off to find her.

At the church, Faith decides she's waited around long enough, and needs to leave before she's caught. Having "dispersed" of Michael earlier, and declaring him no longer her problem, she herds Morgan and Kristina into an adjoining room. Sonny and Jason pick this moment to crash into the church, catch Faith, and begin a shootout. Faith and her men shoot at Sonny and Jason, while Reese rushes to all the side rooms, looking for the kids. Sonny manages to hold his own as Jason fights back and kills both of Faith's guards. Faith makes one last attempt to escape, but Jason fires his gun at her and sends her to the ground. Wounded, she tries to reach for her own gun, but Sonny steps on her hand, his own aimed at her head, and demands to know where his children are. Reese rushes in and is able to stop Sonny before he kills Faith, by screaming at him that the children aren't there. Faith falls unconscious before revealing where she stashed the children.

Ric reluctantly agrees to let Alexis join him on his trip to Louisiana to find Kristina. He then tells Elizabeth the horrible truth that Faith is the person who pushed her down the stairs when she was pregnant, which caused her to miscarry. Reese learns that two, not three, children are traveling alone on a plane set to take off from Louisiana. Sonny, Carly, Alexis and Ric head to the airport, where they are reunited with Kristina and Morgan but no Michael!

Alexis is informed by Elizabeth that Kristina's tests came out fine and she is free to go home with her soon. Alexis talks to Elizabeth about her previous marriage to Ric and how she lost a child with Ric when she was married to him. Elizabeth tells Alexis that Faith pushed her down the stairs and made her lose her baby and tells Alexis she is very lucky to have Kristina and a baby on the way. Elizabeth confides in Ric later about how angry she is with Faith for what she did to her.

Ric sees Alexis and brings Kristina a bunch of balloons on a string. Alexis can't stop holding Kristina tightly. Ric reminds her that she can let go of Kristina now and relax. Alexis feels very overprotective and tells Ric she can't leave her out of her sight ever again. Alexis feels guilty for being so happy to have Kristina back while Sonny and Carly haven't got Michael back. Ric leaves them alone for awhile and Emily shows up to see Kristina and Alexis. Emily assumes that all three of the children have been found. Alexis informs her that Michael is still missing and that he may be dead. Emily tells Alexis she will tell the family the disturbing news.

Skye shows up at Ric's office and confesses to helping Faith escape from prison. Reese and Ric question Skye who her accomplice was when they helped Faith escape from prison. She continues to confess that she acted alone. But Ric is sure that he knows who Skye's accomplice was. Skye continues to lie for Luke, saying that she hired an actor to work with her. But when she can't give agent Marshall or Ric a name, Ric gets ready to bring Luke in. Skye pleas for them to leave Luke out of this and either let her go or arrest her. Ric has a better idea, suggesting, "how about a third option?" Agent Marshall gives the third option, Skye provides the department with information that may lead them to Michael and receives a free pass, in other words, no charges will be filed. But if she can't come up with the information, Skye and Luke will be charged with aiding and abetting.

Ric confronts Faith in her hospital room. During Faith’s trial, Durant gives the order to have Faith shot before she can reveal whether Michael is dead or alive. Alexis falls during the attack and a worried Ric rushes her to the hospital. Alexis finds out that Faith was the person who pushed Elizabeth down the stairs and caused her miscarriage.
