Robin & Jason #4  April 19 - Aug 19, 1996 - 7 hrs 20 mins

Robin sat alone on the bridge clutching the stuffed toy she and Jason bought for the sick kid. Jason arrived and saw that she was crying. "What's wrong?" he asked her. She is devastated by the death of little Jenna, the aids baby from Ward house. How much more will she have to take? Jason is amazed that she really seems to be mad. She tells him that she is always mad, every minute of every day. Why? Because she is the kiss of death. Everyone that she cares about seems to be taking a powder. Why don't you and I take a powder too? she asks Jason. Then she proceeds to grab the brain-damaged one by the hand and get up on the top of the stone border. She begins to sway from side to side and........Jason knocks her back to the ground. He tells her its stupid to take your life. Robin states that she really wasn't going to do it (commit suicide), she just wanted to piss God off and show him what he was bringing her to. Oh, like losing Stone, your boyfriend? Jason queries. Yes, like that and like the fact that I'm HIV+. Jason tenderly kisses her lips, and she gets really mad. Do not use me to tempt death. Jason shocks her with a thorough knowledge of what HIV+ is all about. He knows that kissing her is no danger to anyone. He did it because he wanted to feel those trembling, but strong lips against his. And they felt good, and it made him feel good, and well you get the drift. She admits that it was nice to be touched/kissed/whatever. They chatter some more and Jason admits that he's connected to her in a way that he's never been connected before (that he can remember anyway). Robin is the real reason that he got off that bus. Robin admits that being with Jason drags her into the moment, and out of the past. Being with him, she doesn't have to think about what she has faced and what she will be facing in the future. Its scary, but its nice. They decide to hold hands and just feel connected. Robin suggest that she may be moving too fast for Jason, but he grips her hand tighter and say that he wants to touch her.

Robin is on the couch remembering Morgan's kiss. Mac comes in and asks if she's sick. He decides to make it a Scorpio family night. He thinks he needs a break from Katherine. He tells Robin about the watch, and she says "You cannot be other than you are." He recognizes this as a nice way of saying he's stubborn. He begins to realize Robin is smiling all the time. This worries him for a couple of seconds. She tells him about being scared, and about being different. And about missing Stone. They start to talk about creative sex when the doorbell rings, to their collective relief. It's Katherine. Robin leaves them. Kat leaves and returns with a giant TV. Robin reverts to 6-years- old and pleads to keep it.

Jason is arrested for train surfering. Robin is called and she bails him out.Jason treats Robin to supper at Kelly's and promises to repay his debt to her as soon as he starts earning a larger paycheck. After discussing possible career choices, Jason invites his dinner companion to drive with him up the coast to watch the sun rise. Robin begs off, reminding Jason she's still trying to shake the cold she caught the night they nearly jumped off the bridge.

Robin and Ruby are discussing if Justus can properly defend Laura with his other commitments. Robin defends Justus. Brenda hobbles down and Robin and her both take a seat at a table. Brenda starts to tell Robin the story behind the ankle and the vacation. Brenda tell Robin about the resort. Robin being very smart asks how they all ended up in the same place. Brenda says it all confusing and Robin asks her to start with the cabin. Brenda makes Robin swear that she won’t tell anybody because she promised Sonny she wouldn’t say anything but she just needed to tell someone, especially someone who understands Sonny the way she does. Brenda starts telling Robin how they got into the cabin in the first place (she conveniently forgot to mention that this was her plan). She said that it felt like nothing had changed between them but that their was a lot of stuff they needed to get through because their emotions were all over the place. She tells Robin how Sonny told her, in not so many words, that he still loves her after they both thought they were going to die. Robin then asks what does this all mean for Lily. Brenda says that Lily is rebound. So Robin asks does that mean they are breaking up to which Brenda says she’s not sure and that she’s not even sure if anything that happened did any good. She asks “how can he stay with someone feeling the way he feels about me”. Robin tells her to give it time and then reassures Brenda, after Mike walks in, that she won’t tell anyone. Robin asks about the big escape and finds out about Jax and Lily and the helicopter. Brenda says she thinks she ruined hers and Jax’s friendship and he is probably wondering where he fits in to this whole picture but “of course [she] doesn’t have the answer to that one either.” Robin tells Brenda that she wishes nobody would have to get hurt in this whole thing and then leaves.

Robin calls Sonny to nag for a check for the Wellness Center and Lily answers. She invites Robin and Jason to dinner. At dinner, Jason wonders why Sonny had the check be anonymous. Robin would like everyone to know how wonderful Sonny is. Robin and Lily repair to the kitchen to toss salad. Sonny hires Jason, assuring him that he, Sonny, is not afraid of the Quartermaines. Jason will start as a runner "Like the guy who got shot?" asks Jason. Sonny tells Jason the main rule: "When you work for me, you're invisible." The ladies return, and Jason says Robin is cute when she worries. He doesn't see what's so special about spaghetti, as he opens the cans all the time. So when Sonny's gourmet pasta comes, "it's 66, you're all watching me!" (66 Harborview, the Q's address.) Lily is a bit bothered that she can't cook. Sonny tells Jason "When a lady gets you out of jail, you dance with her!" So Lily sets out to teach him, to Brenda's "Nobody Knows it but me" song. Sonny and Robin dance for 5 seconds, and Sonny reclaims his wife. When Jason and Robin leave, Sonny and Lily discuss them.

Jason discovers that he's been evicted from "his" boxcar. Jason tells Robin he's accepted a job offer from Sonny. Sonny opens the door and...its Robin. Sonny tells Robin that he won’t let anything happen to Jason, even before Robin said something. She explains that she is just worried because Jason won’t know what are acceptable risks. She tells Sonny that she knows that what he does is illegal and dangerous, but she loves him anyway. Sonny reassures her that he won’t let anything happen to Jason and that he won’t bring him in so deep into the organization that he can’t get out....Then they discuss Stone and how she misses him...and her growing attraction to Jason...and why she thinks that’s wrong. Sonny very poignantly tell her that Stone wanted the best for her including love and that its okay to have these feelings for Jason...Stone would have wanted her to be happy.....

Jason and Robin run into each other. Robin "shares" her cold drink with him. He then drinks from a hose and points it at her, and she says "don't you DARE do that!" Jason wants to swim and she mentions the Quartermaine estate, with their pool and lake. They sneak onto the Q. grounds but the boathouse or wherever the suits are kept is locked. Jason finds the initials "J.Q. + K.W." carved into a bench, and finds out about Karen. They go skinny-dipping, but Robin has gone in with her clothes on, first, so they are wet and cold. He gives her his t-shirt, which looks like a classy black dress on her. They talk about Stone. She remembers the boathouse party. "I get sad when I miss him, but I like the memories." Jason and Robin kiss. Robin says it could be dangerous because she was enjoying it too much. They dance, and Jason says "You give me a reason to look forward to tomorrow."

Robin tells Mac who Jason is working for. Robin and Jason have a serious discussion about themselves. Robin waits by the phone and recalls her recent time with Jason. Meanwhile, he does the same. At last, he calls her to her delight. Jason and Robin chat on the phone about Laura's trial and then agree to meet later. Brenda helps Robin dress up to see Jason. Robin meets Jason on the docks; they banter mindlessly about where to go and what to do. Jason breaks into his old home, the box car as the place to have their date. They talk, then begin kissing, then things heat up between them. Jason lays directly on top of her and kissing her on the floor of the boxcar.

She thinks she is ready to make love to him but Stone pops into her head three times as she kisses Jason. She sits up, angry and frustrated with herself, and she explains to Jason what is happening, and he takes it well. She realizes she just isn't ready to take that step.

At Robin's--Brenda comes over, and she's in this beautiful light blue silk outfit, looking radiant. She's in a daze. Robin is upset but insists on not talking about it and hearing Brenda's ews, "whatever's got that sappy look on your face." Brenda tells Robin that Sonny is going to leave Lily. They discuss Lily and the marriage. Robin feels sorry for Lily, and Brenda tells her that Sonny took their marriage very seriously but realized that he was just hurting Lily because he didn't love her. Robin tries to make Brenda think of the practicalities, but she just can't, saying that everything will be perfect. Brenda says something about them being "a part of each other" (which sends me into immediate gag reflex after hearing Lily and Holden say this ad nauseum on ATWT for years). Brenda leaves after telling Robin "I want you to remember every single day what a beautiful person you are," and I notice that Robin looks incredibly like Karen in this scene.

Robin visits Jason in the bar and apologizes for her abrupt killing of their relationship. She explains that she thought she was ready but she was getting flooded with new emotional conflicts. Jason says he can totally relate to that and things were fine by him. Robin is relieved.

Sonny goes home. The doorbell rings and it's Jason. Sonny sends him looking for Lily. Lily and Sonny outside of Luke's club. Lily walks towards the car, gets in and puts the key in the ignition. This is interspersed with scenes of Jax marrying Brenda, ending with the clink of champagne glasses and the car explosion and Sonny screaming no. Luke and Mike simultaneously grab Sonny, holding him back, but he breaks free and starts to run for the car, and then Jason flies into the scene from nowhere and pretty much slams him into the wall to prevent him from running toward the car, and then there is another explosion. Lois and Ned are there as well, and in all the confusion, Lois says, in this teeny tiny voice "Where's Lily?" Jason leaves. He goes to find Robin and tell her and they go to Luke's. When they get there, Robin goes to Sonny immediately and he holds her and cries. He looks up at Jason and orders him to take Robin home and keep her there, and Mac follows her and tells her to stay if you want but keep out of Sonny's sight and let him think he's done some good.

Jason is at Robin's house and she is upset. She gets Sonny's housekey out of her purse, and Jason tells her no, she can't go over there. He pulls an envelope out of his jacket and says he will go, he had a reason, that he was supposed to deliver this envelope to Sonny but in all the confusion he forgot to do that. She gives him the housekey and makes him promise not to leave Sonny alone, no matter what he does or says. Jason goes over, and Sonny is sitting in the apartment, and Jason lets himself in and Sonny stares at him and says "Why the HELL do you have a key to my house?!" and asks him why isn't he with Robin like he said. Jason says that Robin gave him the key and told him to come over. Sonny says "Is that the way you obey...is that the way you obey an order?" and gets angry. He says he had this envelope to deliver and Sonny takes it from him and says that they were going to Puerto Rico the next day and these are their plane tickets and gets choked up again. Jason sits down then, and Sonny asks what he's doing? Jason says that yes, Sonny had ordered him to stay with Robin, but Robin said for him to come over and stay with Sonny, and this is just a job and Robin's worth more than that. Sonny yells "I don't give a DAMN WHAT ROBIN SAID!!" and Jason says "well, all you can do is fire me." and Sonny whispers "you think that's the most I can do to you?" and then he yells it. Jason says "I don't need anything, I'll just be here" and Sonny goes up to bed, interrupted by Jason saying "It's not your fault." He pauses halfway up the stairs and begins to cry again.

The next morning, Sonny is pensively looking at the news headline in his apartment “Wife of Crime-Lord Slain”. While Jason is sleeping on the couch, Sonny removes a gun from a silver attaché case, holds it for a second, and then returns it and closes the case. As he is about to leave Jason asks what is he doing. Sonny tells him that he has to make a business trip whereupon Jason tells him “not without me”. Jason is getting his pants on as Sonny is trying to convince him that he appreciates the offer but no thanks. Jason lets Sonny know it was not an offer but a statement. Sonny again tries to convince him that this is no place for him, this will be dangerous, and its non of his concern. Jason quickly reminds him of the promise he made Robin and that Sonny isn’t going to change his mind. Sonny removes a gun from the case and hands it to Jason who picks it up and says “Just point and shoot”. Sonny snaps Jason’s hand down and says you never point until you are ready to kill. They put the gun back and leave.

Mac calls Robin from the hospital to ask if she has heard from Sonny or Jason. When Robin says no Mac asks her to meet him at Sonny’s apartment. Mac and Robin search the house but no Sonny and Jason. Robin is worried that Sonny did something foolish to himself. Sonny and Jason arrive in San Juan to see Rivera (Lily's father). The guards give their condolences about Lily and state that they have asked around but don’t know who did this. Sonny goes in to see Rivera and they both stare at each other.

Mac calls the police station and asks to know if they found out if Sonny has left the country. He finds out about San Juan and tells the guys to call the San Juan police to pick up Sonny and Jason but not to mention Rivera’s name. Robin doesn’t understand when Mac tells her “I guess he is going to avenge Lily’s death” when Robin says “Do you mean this man killed his own daughter?” Sonny talks to the Doctor about Rivera’s condition. It seems that Rivera had a stroke when he heard about Lily’s death. That Rivera is paralyzed except for movement in his right hand and leg, he can’t speak, but he is sure he understands what is going on around him. He gives his condolences and leaves. Sonny looks at him and tells Rivera that “you don’t deserve to live.” He takes out his gun....long pause. He tells Rivera about how he knows the bomb was meant for him and how R must have thought that Lily was on her way down here, miles from PC. How he not only killed his own daughter but his grandchild as well. That’s right Lily was coming down to tell him that she was pregnant that they were going to stay together and that she was so happy, happier than Sonny has ever seen her, that she wanted to share her joy. She wanted to see the look on her own fathers face when she told him he will be a grandfather. Sonny tells him that he came their to kill him, not just for the death of his wife but his child too, but he can see that Rivera is living in his own hell now. He will give R the choice that he didn’t give Sonny. He puts the gun down by Rivera’s right hand and leaves. As Sonny walks out of the room we hear a gun shot. One of the guards runs in..runs out and says that Rivera is dead. There is a long pause and some looks between Sonny and the guards...when one of the guards takes Sonny’s hand and kisses it..the other follows.

Sonny and Jason arrive at Sonny's penthouse. Sonny wanders pensively around the living room until the doorbell rings. It's Mac, and he's in concer ned-commish mode. Sonny has a lot of power now that Rivera is dead. Sonny insists that "nobody has any power over anything, not anything that counts." Mac tells Sonny to keep what he does "out of my territory", and to keep Jason out of it too. Jason is "a clean slate"; plus, he's a Q, and the Q's aren't going to sit still while Sonny "corrupts him." Sonny argues that it's Jason's decision, not theirs, but he does not object to the suggestion that contact with him would corrupt Jason. Mac's real worry is the possible effect on Robin. He doesn't want to see her suffer another loss, yet danger surrounds Sonny, and how can Sonny protect Jason? "The way I protected my wife?" Sonny asks. Just then Jason stomps into the room, and Mac trots out his arguments again with just as little success. Sonny urges Jason to listen to Mac, but Jason isn't buying it. Mac tries an idiotic tactic - he asks how the Q's will feel about the job. Yeah, as if Jason cares. What he does care about is Robin. Mac tries to use that to get Jason to change his mind. He finally gives up, saying "God help you both", and leaves. Sonny warns Jason that the dangers are real - his business can get a person killed. Jason doesn't see why dying is a big deal.

Robin arrives and asks Jason what happened in Puerto Rico; he says he doesn't really know. Jason mentions Mac's advice to him. Robin wonders when Mac will ever learn, and assures Jason that Mac's attitude will not influence her. She will worry about Jason, but the decision is his. She is glad that Jason is there for Sonny. After Robin leaves, Sonny asks Jason to reconsider working for him. Sonny appreciates his loyalty, but he sees that Jason, unlike Sonny, has something to live for. Jason argues that he wants to stay.

He isn't looking for Sonny to protect him; he just wants a chance. Sonny says, fine. He gives him a gun and sends him to a firing range to learn how to use it. Jason holds the gun, looking a bit shell-shocked already.

People gather around for Lily's funeral service. Robin tells Jason how good Lily was when Stone was sick. He says he liked her and will miss her. She tells him he can always keep a part of her in his heart.

Robin bops in and dashes behind the counter to get some food. Carly takes her plate away from her. "Look, Missy, I happen to live here, and I've never seen a help yourself sign." Robin is offended. Then Mac comes over and introduces them, to Carly's chagrin. She somehow doesn't seem too comfortable around cops. Robin goes to the boxcar to see Jason and hears shots. Turns out it's Jason practicing shooting. He says he's real good on the "safety stuff" and wants to know if he did this before. No, she says, she doesn't think the Quartermaines have a shooting range. They talk. He thinks it's nice that Robin worries about him. They talk about Sonny a little bit, and Robin leaves to go see Sonny.

Sonny is looking at the picture of Lily. He hears the lullabye. Jason comes in with food and Sonny wants him to get rid of the piano. Jason asks about the rest of the furniture, the ceilings, the walls, the doorknobs. He tells a little about himself when people kept poking at him, and he leaves. Sonny can't stand it any more, and throws the piano bench, hurting his hand. Then he picks up a poker and starts in on the piano. He's well and truly into it when Robin comes running in. At first Sonny looks like she's next for the poker, but then he sits and lets Robin fix his hand. "They're just things. I know they have memories attached to them but then that goes away and they're just things again." Robin echoes back the good advice Sonny gave her when Stone died.

At Sonny's penthouse, Jason answers a ring at the door. It's Lois who has come to pay her respects. Jason is reluctant to let her in but Lois gets by him. She sits with Sonny on the couch, where he is holding his head in his hands, and tries to break through the self pity in which the mini-mobster has wrapped himself. Then he and Jason talk about "survival".

Doorbell rings for Sonny who is not answering it. On the forth ring Jason answers the door. When the 2 men in suits ask for Mr. Michael Corenthos, Jr. we see Jason slowly take his gun from the back of his pants and Sonny watches.

Robin and Felicia come outside the Outback that has a huge sign saying the Board of Health closed them down. They are both bewildered and go inside to call the good inspector Hastings who posted the note. Just then Mac walks in to ask what the heck is going on and decided that the police comish has a little more weight and call the inspector himself. A bar tender comes in to help with the deliveries that were supposed to be made yesterday, his day off. They all realize that the deliveries weren’t made and that they don’t have any supplies. Mac starts moaning that he thought this place could survive with him being PCPC but maybe thats not the case.

Jason has the 2 men up against the wall to their protest. When they ask who the hell he is Sonny comes out and asks who the hell they are. They tell him their attorneys for Rivera and that since he was Lily’s sole heir and Lily was Rivera’s they have a check for him. Sonny tells them he doesn’t want it and they inform him that they are here to deliver it he can do whatever he wants with it and they leave. Sonny throws the envelope on the ground and Jason asks if he wants to open it. Sonny says nothing but feelfree to open it if you want. Jason says its a check for 30 million. Sonny asks him if he wants it. Jason says “this is Lily’s inheritance...I can’t believe you wouldn’t want you to have it”. Sonny asks him what difference will it make and walks upstairs and Jason looks perplexed.

Jason comes in...tells Robin that he thinks that Sonny is doing better and that maybe they can go out tonight but Robin says that she has to work on her speech for the Ball. Jason can’t understand why she would want to do it and Robin tries to explain that if one person could benefit from her experience it would be worth it...Maybe Jason will even go...she doesn’t think they’d throw him out. Just then Kath comes in ranting about Lucy and Brenda...Robin says hold on a minute Brenda...she’s home. Yes she’s at the PC Hotel with her new husband. Back up a minute did you say husband. Yes didn’t you know that she ran off and married Jax... You could see Robins chin fall to the floor... Robin goes to see Brenda....is it true?

Sonny is back in the penthouse looking at the horrible painting of Lily. Jason asks if he wants to throw it out but he says to hang it on the wall to remind him every day of what he’s done. Brenda confirms the Jax rumor. Robin isn’t very pleased but she tells Bren she needs time. Brenda shows her the ring and says she knows its crazy...she spent a whole year trying to convince everyone that she loved Sonny and wanted to be with him...and now she’s married to Jax.

At the park, Jason and Robin talk. Jason doesn't see why Sonny is going to the Nurses' Ball or why Robin is speaking, and she tries to explain that getting a cure would make them less sad. The Nurse's Ball begins. Alan sings, "Beautiful Girls" as everyone begins to arrive dressed to kill. Alan announces a $30 million gift from Mr. and Mrs. (RIP) Sonny Corinthos to endow the Stone Cates Memorial AIDS Wing at GH. Lucy announces the death of Jon Hanley (Lee Mathis) and introduces singer Janis Ian who sings a sad lament "When Angels Cry" while we see images of Robin, Stone, and other GH people dabbing the tears from their eyes. Mac talks briefly and warmly about Stone, then presents Robin with a section of quilt in Stone's honor, touchingly wrapping it around her. Robin, the keynote speaker, delivers a very emotional and impassioned plea for compassion and understanding for the victims of HIV. At the conclusion of her words, Jason, who was watching from the back, comes to the stage, picks her up, and carries her out. Carly looks on surprised and obviously disturbed at seeing Jason and Robin so close, possibly due to her sexual relationship with him and Robin's HIV positive status.

Robin and Jason are at the bridge in the dark, and she has Stone's quilt square. She feels embarrassed about "losing it" during her speech, thinks she blew it. Jason tells her it was great, and she responds with how pathetic it was. They discuss Jon Hanley, and Jason talks about how love, saying "I almost wish I remember how it felt." They talk about how she knew he would be there for her (Jason), and then she tells him that she dreams about the two of them being lovers (Jason & Robin) but just can't because of these feelings she still has for Stone. He understands. The opportunity arises (again) for him to say "no problem, Robin, I've got this girl I've been taking care of that with" but he does not. Jason takes Robin home to Mac's. Mac apologizes for giving Robin the quilt square in public, but she is fine with it and says she will not accept his apology but is grateful that he did it. Mac goes upstairs, and Kath sits down to talk with Robin,. She says that Robin is a role model for her even though it seems strange to say that about a younger woman. "You're just there, and you're Robin" she says, going on and on about how Robin's speech was so humbling and inspirational. They hold hands and Mac comes back. They tease each other about Mac wanting to get out of his fancy clothes, and he hugs Robin again and tells her her speech was exactly right.

Robin is talking to Sonny at Luke's. They talk about how great Mac is, the ball, and how great his contribution was. Robin - 30Million and you say its just money--I don't even know how to make you understand how big that is". Sonny and Robin discuss Jason and his feeling for Robin. Robin asks if Sonny's okay and he says he's not looking for a nurse--nursemaid. Mike asks if Sonny is going to vote. As Sonny leaves Mike tells Robin how her speech was inspiring and it touched his heart--and Lucy touched his funny bone. Carly see's Robin at the hospital and they start talking. Carly tells her how moving her speech was. Carly starts grilling Robin about Jason. Robin tel ls her that they respect their privacy and says she has to go. Alan votes and sees Jason.

Brenda is on the phone to Robin encouraging her about her Nurses' Ball speech. She plans to get together with Robin soon, but Jax tells her to call Robin back and invite her along. Brenda is showing Jax the "Insider's Port Charles", so they wind up on the beach. They've been married four weeks now and Robin feels a bit uncomfortable. She tries to find out about Mac and Jax, but Jax ain't telling. They talk about Jason. Brenda races Jax to the water. Then Brenda and Robin discuss Jason. Jax has arranged waterskiing while he was out swimming. Afterwards, at home Brenda is telling Robin about how much she is liking Jax. Robin enters Jakes. Jason turns all his attention to Robin; Carly watches them from the doorway.

Kevin is painting, wearing that wild look on his face. Robin arrives. He doesn't hear her at first, so absorbed is he in his painting. He admits that he forgot their appointment; she is surprised to see him all casual and covered with paint. Robin is going to school in the fall as a pre-med. She is thinking of minoring in grief counseling and wants Kevin's opinion, which leads to the LOD. Kevin thinks it's a swell idea; he remarks: "I'm just stunned that I didn't think of it first.... he said, with all the arrogance that's been attributed to him." Robin teases: "Oh, we all like you now; it's just that you make a really bad first impression." Kevin: "Gee, I'm glad that's over with." Kevin tells Robin all the reasons why she'd be a good grief counselor. Robin wants to enroll in Kevin's summer course at PCU, and he tells her to consider it done. Gina knocks on Kevin's open door and walks into the Lighthouse. Gina "always knew" she would run into Robin. She mentions reading Robin's keynote speech from the AIDS ball in the paper. Robin verbally smacks Gina around for her non-support of Stone while Kevin observes. Gina tearfully tries to explain her remorse until Kevin sends her down the hall so he can talk to Robin. His remark: "Way to go with that counseling style." He explains that Gina is his T.A. for the course. Robin is extremely upset about this; Kevin explains that Gina regrets the way she acted. If Robin is serious about being a counselor, she needs to be more forgiving about the way people handle grief. He suggests that she think about how Stone would want her to behave towards Gina. Robin leaves.

Sonny is at the Outback. Jason arrives and delivers an envelope to Sonny. It is a letter from the representative of "the Kansas City Group". They want to take over one of Sonny's transportation networks. Sonny figures they believe now to be a good time to take over, due to Lily's recent death and its likely effect on Sonny's concentration. Sonny agrees to meet the K.C. guys at the Outback. The guys arrive and they meet outside the Outback. They want a partnership in his Northeastern delivery network. Sonny says he's not interested. The K.C. guy reaches into his pocket to pull out a "gift" from his boss - but before he gets a chance, Jason pulls a gun on him. Sonny orders Jason to put the gun away, but first Jason grabs the man's own gun. The K.C. guy pulls cigars out of his pocket and offers them. Sonny refuses the cigars and the "merger" and ends the meeting. Sonny berates Jason for going for his gun. Jason correctly points out that if he had waited to see what was going to happen, it might have been too late to protect Sonny. Sonny worries about what will happen next. The K.C. boys have a bit too much information about things they shouldn't know, and he wonders where they are getting it.

In Jason's room, Carly kisses him. They are laying in bed together. "Thank you for the fireworks." She's upset that he never asks her to stay, and he points out they were her rules. There's a knock at the door: it's Robin. Carly hides. Robin has to go to the picnic with Uncle Mac instead of "riding out to the ocean" which they'll do tomorrow. She wants him to come to the park but he says no thanks. After she leaves, Carly comes out laughing, but Jason tells her to shut up about Robin. She asks "Are you antisocial or did someone drop you on your head?"

Robin arrives at the picnic and joins Kevin & Lucy and Mac & Katharine. They talk about Jason, and Carly eavesdrops. They also discuss Kevin as a professor. Then they see Carly and bring her over, discussing the Nurses' Ball. Carly asks about Jason, then leaves. Carly catches sight of Jason, who has just arrived. Both she and Robin greet him at the same time. Robin asks if they know each other, and Jason starts with "I guess..." but Carly says no, she just had seen him at the Nurses' Ball. Jason asks Robin if she and Carly are friends, her response is not really.

Jason and Robin are sitting together. Behind them, Carly flirts with the bartender guy. When Robin leaves to say hi to Tom and Felicia, Jason drags Carly over and tells her off. He doesn't like her lying to Robin. She sarcastically comments that wouldn't Robin just love to know what they do in Jason's room. He is concerned with hurting Robin, Carly points out that doesn't he think the truth would hurt her more.

Robin asks Felicia about Lulu and says there was no point in her getting tested (because of her HIV status), but "she made Jason do it." Tom comes back with ice cream and Robin leaves. Robin brings Jason ice cream. They decide to leave before the Quartermaines come. Carly is left alone, all alone. The fireworks start, Jason and Robin watch them from the bridge.

Sonny and Jason are in The Grill at the Port Charles Hotel. Sonny tells Jason that he is planning to set up a deal with the guys from Kansas City. Sonny's going to give them his route and a contact list in exchange for a large sum of money; of course not all of his contacts will be listed. By letting the Kansas City guys use his route, Sonny figures he can trap them and find out how has been leaking the information. Jason wants to be in on the deal, but Sonny's not too sure. He thinks Jason is too hot-headed to pull it off. Jason swears that he'll keep his cool and prove himself to Sonny. Jason arrives at the docks to make the exchange and hears the KC guys talking. He hides and listens to what they are saying. They are talking about how they are going to mess with Sonny and how Sonny has lost his focus since Lily died. They think that there scam will pay off with lots of cash. Jason attempts to leave quietly, but stumbles making a loud noise. With their guns drawn, the KC guys order Jason to make himself visible. Jason offers the information in exchange for the money, but the KC guys wonder how much Jason heard. At that point, Jason pushes the guys into each other, grabs the money and runs. The KC guys start firing at Jason and take off after him.

Kevin is holding class in the park since it's such a nice day. He and Gina have a talk before class begins. She tells him that she's nervous about seeing Robin. She goes over her relationship with Stone again and wonders how Robin would be able to forgive her if she can't forgive herself. Kevin tells her the topic of today's discussion is Survivor Guilt and maybe it will help. The class begins and Kevin starts talking about his relationship with Ryan. He explains that even thought they weren't really close, he felt a great loss when Ryan died. He talks about his feelings of guilt over Ryan's death, but says that he did do everything he could while Ryan was alive. He talks about there being repercussions when you don't. Both Gina and Robin are thinking about Stone. Then Kevin goes on to discuss the situation between Gina and Stone, without using any names. He refers to Gina as shallow, superficial, and judgmental. He talks about the things she could have done while Stone was alive and says that she may never get over the guilt. Kevin appears to have gone off somewhere else while talking, but then comes back to reality and ends class. Kevin and all of the other students, except for Gina and Robin, leave. Gina is devastated and Robin notices and goes over to her. Robin asks if she's okay. Gina says that she thinks Kevin did that on purpose, but Robin replies that Kevin would never hurt anyone on purpose. However, she does think that Kevin's behavior was odd. Robin tells Gina that she didn't deserve to be treated that way. She asks Gina to confirm that she really wasn't trying to hurt Stone onpurpose, she just couldn't act any other way. Gina is surprised at Robin's behavior toward her and thanks her for coming over. Robin tells her that she may never be able to forgive her, but she didn't deserve the humiliation she got in class.

Robin comes by the hotel to see Katherine and runs into Kevin. Shetells him that she's really confused about Kevin's actions and wonders why he annihilated Gina in front of the class. He clearly has no idea what she is talking about, but tries not to let on. Robin goes over everything that happened and is surprised that Kevin doesn't seem to remember. Kevin is also surprised, but tries to explain that he was not trying to hurt Gina and may have mentioned a situation that was similar to Gina's. Robin tells him that he did a lot of damage, and Kevin promises her that he'll talk to Gina. Robin leaves and Kevin looks concerned.

Jason finally shows up, calling Sonny to check in. A man sees him, and Carly conveniently walks out of Kelly's, and Jason pushes her against the wall and kisses her suddenly, to blend in or something. He tells her he needs a place to hide, and she is intrigued. She lets him use the phone and asks a lot of questions. Sonny tells him to wait ten minutes and he will set up a deal. Jason offers to leave if Carly is scared, and she says "who says I'm scared?" She says hiding out is one of her specialties, and they have a lot in common, reinventing themselves, and she tells him what she knows, which is his name, his room, his bed, and his job. And that he would drop her 'in a hot minute' for Robin Scorpio. He asks if that makes her mad. She asks him what he would feel if she did that to him. He said he'd be mad but he'd get over it. Carly says "I've been known to stay mad for over 20 years.". Jason calls Sonny, who tells im to bring the money & the envelope to the docks. Once there, the two Jr. Mob dudes try to spook him, and Sonny steps out of the shadows armed with a gun and some fun dialogue. He dares the guys to shoot Jason and tells Jason to give them the envelope they came for. They sneer that it is phony, and Sonny says "well, guess what, deal's off. If my boy has it, it must be mine. Goodbye." The other guys gripe about the money and Sonny says "Consider this an expensive lesson well learned." They leave, and Jason asks how Sonny knew they wouldn't shoot him. Sonny launches off on a convoluted explanation of brainpower and how to stay alive in the mob. He compliments him on diverting the guys' attention earlier by acting scared, but says he used bad judgment or it would not have happened at all. Tells him that if he had been able to pass off the phony list, he would have learned who his leak was. Jason tells him that there is someone leaking it and the guys were talking about it. Sonny says "until I find out, everyone's a suspect." The mob guys go into the lobby of the hotel and bitch at each other.

Robin arrives at GH, saddened by the news that Steve Hardy has died. Kevin asks her to help him with grief counseling for the staff. At the memorial Robin is standing in the chapel having a flashback of Stone and Kevin and Steve, when Steve assured Stone that he would still get the best care despite his HIV+ status. Jason comes for her. She tells him if he left her she'd fall on the floor and cry to the middle of next week. Monica comes by and says hello to Jason. He says "I guess this doctor guy was important to a lot of people." When Monica agrees, he says "Then I'm real sorry." They go in. AJ and Keesha come in and speak to Jason and Robin. (the full funeral is not shown). A montage of Steve scenes set to music includes clip of Steve with Robin when she was a little girl.

Miss Jacobs, the accountant, tells Sonny he's in big trouble with the IRS and could end up in jail. Sonny tries to get Jason to quit. He won't, he insists on remaining loyal to Sonny. Since Jason won't quit, Sonny fires him. This does no good, as Jason will stick around anyway. Sonny tells Jason that he will kill himself before he goes to prison.

Sonny is sitting at one of the tables outside The Outback having a drink. Robin comes out to see him. Robin comments that he's becoming a regular around The Outback and asks if Jason is coming. Sonny tells her Jason had some business to take care of, further adding that it isn't his business - Ned asked to see him. Sonny tells Robin that he told Jason to find another job because he thinks there might be trouble with the Feds. He doesn't want to involve Jason is that happens. Robin is concerned about Sonny and wonders if he'll go to prison. Sonny assures her that he isn't going to prison.

Jason arrives at the gatehouse to see Ned. Ned tells him about the stock he has in ELQ, 12% in total sitting in trust. Jason says he doesn't want any part of the Quartermaine's. Ned tells him that's not the point. The point is that the stock is yours, but Edward controls the trust. Ned tells him that he believes Edward is going to attempt to remove him as CEO. Jason still doesn't understand where the discussion is going. Ned explains that Jason can petition to break the trust, Ned as CEO can approve it, and then the shares become Jason's to vote or sell as he chooses. All Ned asks in return is that Jason vote with him.Jason questions Ned about dividends, taxes, the IRS trying to understand the entire situation. Jason agrees to the deal, and Ne gives him the information. They both take pleasure in the fact that Edward is going to "hate this."

Back at The Outback, Robin and Sonny continue their discussion about Jason working for Sonny. Sonny asks her to convince Jason to walk away, but she says she tried before with no luck. Mike arrives and wants to sit with Sonny. Sonny doesn't seem to care and Robin excuses herself to go back to work. Jason arrives and greets Robin. Once again Robin tries to convince him to leave Sonny before he's arrested. He tells her she doesn't have to worry about it, he's found another way out. It's complicated but it's going to work. He has to go explain it to Sonny, and he asks Robin to trust him. They go inside. Mike is still talking baseball, and Jason asks to see Sonny outside. Mike asks Robin what's going on outside, but she doesn't know. He wonders what's with Sonny since he agreed to go to a baseball game with him. Apparently Jason told Sonny about his plan to sell Sonny his shares of ELQ stock. Sonny asks if Jason knows how much 12% of ELQ stock is worth, and Jason replies "$60 million." However Jason can sell the stock for whatever he wants. Sonny tells him he's got $4 million and Jason says "it's perfect." Sonny tells him that he can't do it; he can't take away his inheritance. Jason says that he doesn't want the stock. Sonny is his friend, and he's not going to let him die. Sonny continues to turn down Jason's offer of stock. Jason asks him once again to accept his offer.

Jax and Brenda arrive at The Outback and run into Jason and Robin. Jax was hoping Robin would be there. When Brenda wonders why, he says that since she's her best friend, she would be able to tell him Brenda's heart's desire. Jax asks for five minutes of Robin's time. She tells them to go in and find a table and she'll be right in. Robin comes over to their table, and Jax asks her to tell him about Brenda's heart's desire. Robin doesn't exactly understand what's going on and Jax explains about the magic lamp and Brenda's wish. He tells her it didn't make much sense to him and wonders if Robin could translate it. Robin says she'll try and Jax repeats piece of the fairy tale Brenda gave him as a hint. Robin immediately figures it out and thinks it's very romantic. "What?" Jax wants to know, and Robin tells him "it's a day with her prince." Robin doesn't remember the name of the fairy tale and tell Jax the story. Robin excuses herself and goes back to work.

Carly sees Jason and speaks to him, and just then Robin comes up looking for Alan. Carly pages Alan for her, and while Robin is seeing him, Carly talks to Jason. "Why does Robin always come first?" That's the way it is, Jason answers. "So you sleep with me, and she gets the roses? Put us together you have one whole girlfriend." "What's the problem? We have what we have and YOU picked it." He then says if the question is, does he like Carly, yes he does. Carly: "What is it about me? I mean, I could be walking down the street with Robin or just about anybody and we both fainted at the same time... people would drive over my limp body to bring her smelling salts." "Because," Jason responds, "You wouldn't faint. You'd be faking." Carly mentions there's one man who really likes her. Bobbie interrupts to give Carly a message for Tony. Robin's tests are good and we get the Public Service Information about how there's so much more information about HIV just even in the last year. Jason is pleased that his Dad is good for something. He hugs Robin, while Carly watches.

Jason doesn't understand the point of feelings, after watching the Q's tear each other apart. He is especially upset to have seen Alan again. Robin, though she agrees that what Alan said to Sonny was wrong, defends Alan, relating his kindness to Stone and to her. She draws parallels to her troubles with Mac regarding Stone, to explain that when you are afraid for someone you love, it can make you behave badly. As long as Alan keeps worrying, Jason and Alan are going to be at odds with each other, she concludes, and he says he understands. Robin explains that after Stone died, for a time she didn't want to feel anything. But one day, she saw some kids in the park, and one of them called another "Butt-nose." It started her laughing, and it opened up something inside her. After that, she let herself feel again. Jason can deny it, but some of the same things are happening to him. Jason knows he feels anger; Robin points out that he feels affection too - for Sonny, for her, usually for Ned. But Jason says he won't be "cured" till he laughs. Robin tries a couple of lightbulb jokes, but they don't work. Robin assures him that one day he will laugh - she hopes she'll be there for it, and he threatens to hold off just to keep her around. She assures him he won't be able to, and they head off to Robin's house while Jason wonders why a kangaroo would want to screw in a light bulb.

Jason & Robin meet up at the Outback. Robin is surprised when Jason tells her he is off to the Quartermaine's.nThe Q's have gathered for an ELQ board meeting. Jason comes in, accompanied by Sonny. Jason tells Ned that he sold his 12% of ELQ stock to Sonny; Ned is angry at Sonny and accuses him of taking advantage of Jason. Jason said that a condition of the sale was that Sonny will always vote his shares the way Ned wants. Ned walks in with Sonny and introduces him as the newest board member. Edward tries to toss Sonny out of the house and calls him a career criminal. Ned fills the old man in on how Jason got a hold of the shares. Edward is popping mad about having not only Jax but Sonny on the board. He also calls Jason mentally-defective, Sonny a crime lord, and ends up blaming Ned for everything. Then Edward calls for Ned's complete removal as CEO; Justus and Lois object, as does Lila. A vote of yes will keep Ned as CEO; a vote of no will put Edward in as CEO. As everyone has voted and the vote is tied up. Edward smirks and says he's going to vote Tracy's shares and as soon as he does, Ned will be OUT. A voice from the doorway shouts "Wait a minute!" All eyes turn to see Tracy Quartermaine stride into the room. She's BACK! The vote is taken again, with Ned losing his ELQ position.

Jason and Sonny apologize to Lois, Jason feels responsible. Lois tells him it isn't his fault that Ned's family would stab him in the back in his own living room. On their way out, Sonny tries to reassure Aan & Monica that Jason is a man they can be proud of. Alan is offended that Sonny is telling him about his son and he becomes cruel. Sonny assures Alan that he will protect Jason and Alan snaps, "Like you did with Lily?". Sonny is pierced by the biting comment and leaves with a haunted look in his eyes. Jason follows him out then returns later and rips into Alan and warns him against taunting Sonny again. Sonny waundering alone on the docks is joined by Jason & Robin who try to cheer him. This is followed by a music montage.

Robin is hanging out at the docks. Jason arrives, apologizing for being late, but the lawyers took time. He tells her about his money, $3 million. She says he sounds like a Quartermaine. He is not amused and tells her more about the board meeting. He's grateful to Sonny, and they talk a few moments about Sonny.

Robin and Jason arrive at The Outback for Ned's concert. Robin tries to talk both Sonny and Jason into coming inside to hear Ned sing. They both decline saying they have to work, but Robin tells them that since she's going off to college soon, this may be their last chance to spend time together. "You need to get out more," she tells Sonny, and "You need to learn to be in the same room as the Quartermaine's," she tells Jason. As an added incentive, she tells Sonny that she wants to dance with him. Eventually, they both agree and the three of them go inside. Robin, Jason, and Sonny are sitting at the bar, and Robin tells them to order anything they want, it's on the house. Jason thinks that Mac might object to that, but Robin says that it's her going away party. It's still about a month before she leaves, but everything's going so fast. She tells Sonny again that she wants to dance. He stands up and properly asks if he could have this dance, and they hit the dance floor while Brenda looks on. Tracy has just seen Ned perform as Eddie Maine for the first time, still in shock she goes to the bar and orders a shot of tequila. She asks Jason very loudly if he liked the music. "It was loud," he replies just as loudly, "just like you." She then asks to talk to Robin and pulls her aside and asks if she's aware "those two are criminals." Laughing, Robin says yes, and Tracy tells her to "be careful how you get your information." Robin returns to Sonny and Jason and jokes to them about Tracy thinking she's wearing a wire. Ned and Lois say goodbye to Robin, Jason and Sonny. They will be back before Robin leaves and want to have Robin and Jason over for dinner.

Need description 8/10/8/12

It is morning, and a couple of people have overslept. Jason and Robin by the Q pool house. AJ and Keisha come across and there are a couple of akward moments. The women go inside and they talk about howl life has thrown a few heady curves the past year. Keisha is glad that Robin and Jason are happy. They decide to get together once before Robin goes to Yale. AJ and Jason have as civil a conversation as Jason could possibly have. AJ basically tells Jason that as much as Jason may not like it, Jason will always be considered Q family. Jason tells AJ that he holds no grudge for the accident , that he thinks it made things better. AJ tells Jason that Keisha doesn't know. After AJ and Robin leave, Keisha tries to talk Jason out of beating himself up over the accident. AJ comes thisclose to telling her, but just says he is fully responsible.

Outside LUKE'S Jason and Robin look at clouds, and he suggests they go skydiving. She Doesn't Think So. He's planning to meet Sonny to ask for some time off, and Robin doubts this is a really good place. Jason hadn't thought of that. They go in, and Mike is there! Jason says he could pay for Robin's college, it won't be over $3million, will it? Sonny arrives at Luke's to meet Jason and is pinned down by the flashbacks and unable to move till Robin comes out to rescue him. Once inside, Sonny talks to a runner, and then he starts to plan the trip with Jason. He hands him some money. Jason wants to be sure he's keeping track, and Sonny says he is: "Maybe by the turn of the 22nd century I'll have your shares paid off." Mike suggests a resort hotel at Montauk where he was very happy (he spent time there with Adela, he later tells Sonny.) Jason tells Robin, tempting the Soap Gods: "This is me, happy. It's too easy."

Robin arrives home with the news that she's going away with Jason immediately. Mac insists she wait until he returns from Luke despite Robin's objections. After he leaves, Katherine tries to explain Mac's behavior to Robin, she almost slips up and tells about Mac's suspicions of Tom being Felicia's stalker. To cover up, she tells Robin to split, and she'd smooth Mac's ruffled feathers. While waiting for Robin at Luke's, Jason is approached by the guy Sonny sent to New York. He asks Jason to take the job since he's got some babe in town. Jason says ok if Sonny approves, but the guy asks him not to tell Sonny and Jason agrees. Back at home, Robin is packed and leaves.

Jason and Robin arrive at the hotel in Mantauk. Jason asks why the hotel asked to check Robin's credit card; Robin said they probably thought it was a little strange with Jason trying to pay $900 in cash. Robin and Jason banter. Robin is a little somber but she says everything is perfect. She and Jason go outside and stare into the night at the ocean. Avoiding what's bothering her, Robin asks if Jason wants to go swimming. Jason calls her on it and says she doesn't have to lie to him, "ever." He asks what's wrong. After a sad pause, Robin says it's Stone's birthday. Jason comes over and holds her. Robin says she remembered about Stone's birthday when she signed the credit card receipt and realized it was Aug. 19. She thinks about last year when he was in the hospital getting treatment for CMV to try to prevent his eventual blindness. Jason remembers what Robin said at the Nurse's Ball: "It caused him unspeakable pain and stole his eyesight." Robin is amazed and touched that Jason remembered. Jason said he remembers every word of her speech and that she was "the bravest thing I ever saw." Robin says she didn't think she could get through her speech but when she looked up and saw him and he gave her strength. Jason says she does the same for him. He goes back in the room, grabs their things and, heading for the door, says he's taking her home because it's Stone's birthday and she's sad. Robin says she's happy to be there with him and although she loves and misses Stone, she wants to be with Jason and to stay where they are. They kiss.
