With Robin's return in July, 1997 and Jason's shooting, the storyline becomes more about Dorman. To get all that background and see the storyline as it builds you would need to see the Just Jason series which includes ALL of Jason's scenes including during the time frame while Robin is off the show, away at college. If your interested in seeing the Jason's scenes not contained on the J&R series just email me for descriptions as I have his storyline edited separately..

Robin & Jason #5  August 19, 1996 - July 28, 1997: 8 hr original edit

Jason breaks away from their kiss and says he can't stop wanting her. Jason says he doesn't want to hurt her and that he understands that she can't help it if she doesn't want him that way. Robin says she really does and that she dreams about being with him. Jason is confused. He says he wants to have sex with her but he knows they cant because Stone is "still in her heart." Robin says she used to think that, but Jason has a separate place in her heart. She says she wants to make love, but she doesn't want to put him at risk for HIV. He says he understands that her fear of putting him at risk would ruin sex so "I guess we'll never do it." Robin says "can I tell you how much I just hated hearing that?" Jason says he hates it because he thinks she's beautiful and just wants to hold her. Robin and Jason negotiate how they can be together, kissing, touching, and holding one another. Jason says he is willing to do whatever she feels comfortable with Looking like she's trying to convince herself, Robin says "I'm not afraid." She and Jason kiss some more and go for the bed. Jason and Robin are together in bed caressing one another. Robin says she can't believe they can be together this way without having sex. Jason says if she has any other ideas, she should just speak up. Robin and Jason have a cuddly moment the morning after. She then calls Mac to let him now she was fine. They banter a bit - Mac is upset but not angry. He and Robin agree to spend some quality time together before she goes to Yale. Robin and Jason frolick the day away. Robin and Jason decide to check out of their hotel and go to Brooklyn to have dinner at the restaurant that Sonny recommended. Jason calls the restaurant to make a reservation and the Matri'D tells him that Sonny has already called him. He continues that Sonny has made arrangements to pay for their meal. They can have anything they like, and Jason is to make it a special evening for Robin. Jason makes their reservation for 8:00pm. Robin tells Jason about a Bed & Breakfast that she's always wanted to stay at. They decide they'll go there after dinner. Before they leave the hotel, Robin goes to the telephone to call Mac and tell him their plans. Before dialing, she decides that she'll just call him later tonight when they arrive at their next destination. They grab their bags and head to Brooklyn. Meanwhile, at the restaurant two men are having dinner. The one guy tells the other that he just say the reservation list, and it looks like their job should be easy. He says that both of Sonny's people will be at the restaurant tonight.

Jason and Robin arrive at the restaurant and get the royal treatment from the Maitre'D. They are amused by the attention being paid to them, and Robin jokes that they should drop Sonny's name more often. Jason tries to tell Robin that she should feel free to date other people at Yale. She is hurt by Jason's suggestion, but Jason tries to further explain. He just doesn't want her to be lonely or unhappy, but he will always be there for her and waiting for her to come home. She tells him that she'll be much to busy with classes and activities to even find time for a relationship. She continues that she doesn't think that she'll find anyone with whom she can be open about her HIV. Besides, she's going to Yale to get an education, not her Mrs. degree, a concept she has to explain to Jason. She finishes by saying that she couldn't just use some guy to get by until she got back to Jason. As she said, she "couldn't have a boy on the side." Jason replies, "You'd be surprised. Some people don't mind." Their appetizer comes and Jason tells the Maitre'D to decide their dinner entrée for them. Jason decides that now is the time to do his errand for Sonny, which is 10 blocks away. Robin doesn't mind his leaving, and he tells her he'll be back shortly. Robin tells him she'll just people-watch until he returns. One of the guys from the other table comes up to Robin, but doesn't say anything. He just stares at her.

In the meantime, Mac calls the hotel where they were staying and is toldthat they checked out. He asks if any forwarding information was left, but there was none. At this point, Jason has arrived at the meeting place, but no one is there. From out of nowhere, someone punches him and knocks him just short of unconscious, then throws him up against the wall. Back home, a seething Sonny rages at one of his flunkies for putting Jason and Robin in danger with his careless behavior. In the Brooklyn precinct house where she has been taken for questioning, Robin refuses to cooperate with the police as they press her to tell them all about her boyfriend's mob-related activities. Mac gets a call and heads to Brooklyn to rescue Robin. He & Justus arrive and threathen all sorts of legal action when he sees that Robin was hurt when she was taken in. She is released and Mac takes her to GH to be checked out.

Robin wants to see Jason, he has also been transfered to GH for observation. Meanwhile Jason and Alan are talking when Monica comes in and asks how Jason is. He wants to see Robin.

Tony is talking to Jason. "Follow my finger." "Are you trying to hypnotize me?" Tony has a few questions. Jason says "Oh, Man! Is this where we ponder why people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones?" "Well, we *could*, but those take a little time to answer and I don't think you want to be in the hospital any longer than necessary, do you?" When Jason finds out Robin is waiting, he spits out the answers to Tony's questions before Tony can ask them, what year it is, where he is, who he is, who Tony is. He flies to the door into Robin's arms. Jason and Robin talk. "I wanted to give you a good memory to take to college, and instead you end up in jail." Alan sees Sonny in the hallway and rudely refuses to allow him to see Jason. Robin comes out in the hall and says that Jason is asking for Sonny. Sonny and Robin visit with Jason. Jason asks to talk to Sonny privately. After she leaves, Jason reveals it was Sonny's own guys who beat him up. Sonny says right; it was standard procedure since he wasn't the one they expected. Sonny really chews him out, and Jason swears he'll follow orders and won't screw up again.

As Robin ministers to Jason, Brenda arrives to personally check things out. Sonny quietly tries to reassure her that Robin is fine. Carly enters Jason's room and finds Jason and Robin in an embrace. She is there to take Jason's blood pressure. Alan comes in and asks to speak with Robin privately. Touching scenes follow as Alan describes a new drug treatment that gives her hope that the HIV virus can be killed and if she is very lucky she may have a chance at a long and happy life. Robin and Jason are so happy about her news. Of course, they still don't know if this will be a better treatment, or how much better. She tells him about "knocking wood." She asks: "Why aren't you kissing me?" He responds: "I'm brain-damaged." Jason is released from the hospital, and Robin is going to wait in the park for Mac.

Meanwhile, Carly knocks and walks into Jason's room at Kelly's. She walks around it, and gets into bed to wait. Katherine comes up to Jason & Robin in the park, and Jason leaves. Katherine explains to Robin that Mac couldn't meet her because Felicia has been kidnapped by Kevin. Robin is shocked and doesn't believe it. Katherine convinces her to go ahead with the going away party at LUKE'S that night. Robin worries about her friends for a bit, and tells Katherine her good news about her HIV. They hug.

Jason comes into his room, spots Carly's dress. She comes out of the shower clad in a towel and wants to welcome him back properly. He tells her no. "I don't want to have sex with you any more." "Wow, that's a show stopper... you and Little Bo Peep are finally getting it on?" she retorts. She points out that Robin won't be around. He tells her he doesn't want to be her boy on the side any more. She thinks he doesn't have blood running through his veins, he just has wires. She threatens to tell Robin, and is standing there when Robin's message comes through on his new answering machine about the going-away party.

At Luke's Club, Katherine is buzzing around arranging food and stuff for Robin's going away party. Bobbie is helping and Mike hams around the girls. Robin arrives and gets hugged by all. Jason arrives. Robin shares a sweet goodbye with Sonny. Katherine gives her a stuffed bear that had been hers. Luke & Laura greet Robin wishing her good luck at Yale. She also says her goodbyes to Brenda, Alan, ect. Carly crashes the party and makes up an obvious lie about needing to tell Jason she couldn't find the "incredible present" he asked her to buy for Robin as a going away present while he was in the hospital. Touching scene as Felicia enters and they quietly embrace. After the party, Jason and Robin spend their last evening together at the boxcar. They hold each other and talk. Robin asks him to tell her why he is so sad. He tells her about his relationship with Carly and apologizes for lying to her. She tells him it wasn't lying just not telling. He seems more upset over his affair with Carly than she does.

Next morning, Jason comes into Kelly's and joins Luke and Sonny while Robin wanted to say goodbye in person to Mac. Jason can't believe they'd eat rare roast beef:"It's still alive." They ask how he is about Robin leaving, and while he's not happy about it, he's OK with it. He then accidently gives advice to Luke, which Sonny hears but Luke misses: talking about the connection he and Robin have, "if it's strong enough, the distance won't matter, and if it's not, we'll always have what we've already had." Luke thinks he's refreshingly straighforward, and Sonny comments that it was the accident.

Mac comes home. He tells Katherine he nearly had to shoot his best friend (Kevin), and by the way how was Robin's party? Robin has left him a note. He's reading it, Katherine having gone upstairs, when Robin herself comes in. She couldn't leave without saying goodbye to him in person. They discuss her good medical news, and how much she'll miss Uncle Mac, etc. He says: "Fly, Robin, just fly. You spread your wings and soar. And don't let anyone or anything ever hold you down." They hug, and there's a Mac-and-Robin-hug montage. Jason comes to fetch Robin and they leave. When they get to Yale and say goodbye both Robin and Jason cry. She doesn't think she'd have gotten there without him... he taught her to move on with her life. They embrace, each holding on tightly to each other then Jason quietly gets on his bike and rides off.

About a month later at LUKE'S, Jason comes in and tells Sonny that he did the business. He passed Sonny's "no drugs in my territory" onto some other bad guys. Was this how he got the black eye? No, he got into a fight protecting Antoinette at Jake's. (Actually this was from when Tyler hit him in the eye with the golf club). Sonny tells him that beating up every lowlife in town won't bring Robin back. Jason says, "It's an ache that doesn't go away. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I'm fighting too much." He tells Sonny he went to the bridge once, but he won't go back, he's afraid of what he'd do. Missing Robin is harder than he ever thought.

Jason comes in for a letter Robin "misaddressed." Robin has been mailing Mac's letters to Jason and Jason's letters to Mac. Katherine points out that Robin's no dummy. They figure out that this is Robin's way of bringing them together. Mac and Jason talk, about Robin and about GH closing. Next, Jason goes to the Mansion to see Alan. He knows Robin has to decide whether to go on the new protocal and doesn't want her to worry about the cost of it. He wants to pay for her medication if she decides to take it. "What's the use of money if it's not for something like this?" Then he asks to make sure that it won't cost more than 3 milliion. Alan assures him that it won't. Alan is very touched by Jason's visit and is amazed by his understaning of the medical jargon. Jason has thoroughly researched the issue and speaks very well on the topic. For a moment it is like his old son is back. He tells Alan thank you for treating Robin so well.

A couple of weeks later, Jason & Sonny arrive at the Q's. Ned meets them, Sonny tells Ned he thinks he can get rid of Jax in ELQ. Ned develops scruples: "It wouldn't involve murder, would it?" Brenda overhears. Brenda confronts Sonny: "Breaking into my home and throwing punches at my husband wasn't enough for you, now you're trying to get Ned to go in on some plot against him?" Sonny answers: "The man isn't welcome on the ELQ board, I don't think that's any secret." "Oh, and you are?" Brenda asks if she should check for snipers before the ceremony (she is about to marry Jax). Jason and Ned take this opportunity to make their escape to "go see Lila."

Later, Sonny tells Ned that he thinks he can get the necessary ammunition against Jax, enough to get him off the ELQ board. Ned happily offers the ELQ jet. Jason wants to go with Sonny to offer protection. Sonny doesn't want Jason to cancel his plans to pick up Robin for Brenda's ill-fated wedding to Jax.

In November, Jason picks Robin up from Yale en route to Brenda and Jax's wedding. We first see them when a tire on Jason's motorcycle blows, and they wind up at an Irish Inn, The Wild Swan (a OLTL set). Robin contacts Brenda and lets her know that somehow she and Jason will make it to the wedding in time. Brenda tells Robin to make the most of her time with Jason, knowing the two will never make it to the wedding in time, she tells them that the best wedding gift they can give her is to spend the time together. They agree that's whats best. Jason and Robin bond near the fireplace at the Wild Swan, professing their love.

Back in PC, Jason tells Sonny about his being with Robin. Luke comes along and asks how things went down under. Jason gives Sonny a baseball hat that says "Harvard" on it that Robin sent back for him. Sonny replies that things were highly productive and that he brought back the first Mrs. Jasper Jacks.

In December, there are a great series of scenes as Stone is remembered on the one year anniversary of his death. At Luke's club, Mike comes across a letter from Robin. He passes it to Sonny who seems to know what it is. The next day (Dec 2nd), Mike walks downstairs to Luke's club and finds Sonny at a table drinking after being there all night. He had opened the letter. As Sonny leaves, Mike reads the letter and realizes it is the one year anniversary of Stone's death. Jason comes into the club, Robin sent him back so he could be with Sonny. Sonny tells Jason about Stone. Sonny talks about Stone and says he must be in heaven. Sonny calls for Mike to bring glasses; they toast to Stone. Gina walks in, says she got a letter from Robin saying to go to Luke's if she didn't want to be alone that day. Sonny gives her a hug while Jason watches. They all get ready to toast Stone again. Sonny flashes back to Stone saying Sonny and Brenda would be together someday.

Sonny is in the penthouse and the doorbell rings. It's Robin! She wants to know if he's eating right? She tells him he should write. She came to surprise everyone, but no one is home, and even her room is taken by someone else. They talk about Miranda. She tells Sonny he shouldn't have found Miranda. Brenda is so mad, she told Robin in excruciating detail for over two hours. "Hey, you're the only person who can get her that mad!" "It's a gift." Robin suggests he should use it right. Jason comes in. He's a little hurt by Robin. She came to tell them she wouldn't be home for Christmas as she's going on a media tour for HIV+ youth. Sonny asks if she'll be all right with this and she says it couldn't be as hard as the Nurses' Ball, and besides, she won't have Jason to carry her. Sonny is proud of her, and Stone would be too. Jason turns his back. Robin makes Sonny promise to go to Mass on Christmas. Sonny's going to take Jason, too. Sonny leaves, and Robin tells Jason the reason she sent him back "yesterday" from New Haven. She was so in love with Jason, and she needed to tell Stone, to tell him that she had gone on after all. Jason is relieved. Sonny comes back with a mini-tree that will travel and Robin puts a red ribbon on it to decorate it. Jason gives her a beautiful necklace. Robin tells Mac about her plans for the holidays and the speaking tour she's doing for AIDS/HIV youth. They chat briefly about Miranda before Jason arrives to take her to the airport

On New Year's Eve, a music montage of couples is shown as it chimes midnig ht. Reggie hovers around Lila, and Brenda kisses Edward first on her way to Jax. Ned and Alexis toast, as do Justus and Dara. Robin calls Sonny and Jason. Sonny steers Gina away from Jason so Jason can take Robin's call.

In January, Jason sits alone on his "birthday" thinking of waking up to see Robin when he was in the hospital after the accident. Later, Robin surprises Jason by coming into town a week early. Happy to be home, Robin tells Jason she can stay in Port Charles for a full week. Great series of scenes during her 2 week return as they rejoice in each other and then they delve into the medical, emotional aspects of HIV. Sonny (who is on the surprise with Robin) brings Brenda into see Robin. Brenda fills Robin in on the last few months: Sonny being drugged, the difficulty she has had with Miranda being in Jax's life and how insecure she became. Brenda quietly admits to Robin how frightened she was that she was going to lose Sonny after he was attacked.

After Brenda leaves, Robin covers Jason's eyes as Sonny brings out his birthday cake (homemade by Sonny). It has one candle on it to symbolize the new Jason's first year since the accident. Sonny says it is the first cake he has ever made as deserts aren't his specialty. They toast and Sonny gives Jason a wad of money to spend on Robin, and gives him seven days off from work. He tells them they have the club to themselves. Jason tops off his "first" birthday celebration by sharing some private time with Robin at the deserted blues club. When Jason expresses concern about her health, Robin asks him to let her enjoy a brief moratorium on thinking about living with HIV.They slow dance. He says he wants to take her someplace beautiful, she looks at him and says they are already there. Happy to be free of her studies for one solid week, Robin suggests to Jason that they retreat to his apartment to revel in one another's company without interruptions. He tells her it is a mess as he has greasy motorcycle parts everywhere. She doesn't care she just wants to be alone with him. Cute scene as he makes her wait outside as he runs around moving the parts and straightening up. She wants to know what is burning. He opens the door to a clean room filled with candlelight.

Robin heads to the Outback to see Mac. He welcomes Robin home, then breaks the news about his break-upwith Katherine. Jason finds Robin standing alone on the bridge where she and Stone used to go. She has a flashback to the night Luke took Stone bunging jumping. Jason finds her there, she wasn't where she was supposed to meet him. So he came to the bridge looking for her. Robin cries in anger, fear and pain over the damage that AIDS does. Suffering from a case of survivor's guilt, Robin weeps on Jason's shoulder as she wonders aloud why she's been spared from the horror of AIDS while countless others have suffered and died. She is afraid for her future, she is afraid of taking doing the new drug protocal. She lashes out at Jason in anger. He loves her so much and knows that she is hurting yet he feels powerless to help her. He just holds her and lets her cry. He understands that the decision about taking the new drugs is hard for her. He tells her that she is the biggest thing in his life, that she fills him up. Back at his apartment, they talk more about her fear of the side effects of the drugs. There is a music montage to "One Fine Day" with various PCers shown. Robin tells him that sh is afraid that the new protocal might not work and might take away what she has left. She tells him that she is afraid as her latest test shows that her viral load has increased. She is afraid if she doesn't take the drugs that she will die sooner. She is afraid if she starts the drugs that she might die anyway and go through it all for nothing. Jason reassures Robin that he's never going to desert her no matter what choice she makes.

As Miranda returns to Port Charles, Mac introduces Robin to his old friend from down under.

Trying to see things from Robin's point of view, Jason comes to the Quartermaine mansion with questions about the current treatment for HIV. At first Alan is worried that Jason is asking for all the info because he is HIV+. Jason says no, Alan realizes he just wants to educate himself so he can fully understand the choice that Robin is facing. Grateful for any time he gets to spend with his estranged son, Alan explains to Jason how the new drug protocol works to block the virus. Astonished to hear his son rattling off complicated medical terminology with ease, Alan feels a faint flicker of hope that Jason is beginning to regain his memory. Drawing on his own experience during Monica's cancer treatment, Alan gives Jason some sage advice about how to deal with a loved one's serious illness. Meanwhile, Robin goes to the lighthouse for a chat with Kevin about the choice she'll soon be facing.

Following his informative talk with Alan, Jason angrily accuses Robin of using her condition to cling to Stone's memory while she avoids making a commitment to a new love. He says she is hanging onto the virus as a way of holding onto Stone. She admits that maybe she does feel guilty for having a chance to escape what Stone couldn't. He tells her no matter whether she lives or whether he is there or not he will always love her that is just the way it is. Reminding Robin of what lies ahead for her if her HIV status changes to full blown Aids, Jason urges her to accept the new drug protocol as her last, best chance for a full, rich life. She agrees to do it for him. He gets angry and tells her he doesn't want her to do it for him. He knows she is scared, he wants her to do it for herself. He says she doesn't have to do anything for him except let him love her. He does admit that he wants her to go on the protocal. She agrees, she wants to live and have a future with him.

Sonny shows up and she shares the happy news with him. Sonny gets a call on his cell phone from Rochester (where the Spencer family has been hiding out since Laura's death was faked). Sonny says his goodbyes to Robin and insis ts Jason go home with her. He tells her that he will pay for her treatments but Jason argues that he will pay for it. Robin asks if either of them have discussed this with Uncle Mac. Sonny says no but seems sure he will prevail.

A couple of months later in March, a newly coiffured Robin shows up and surprises Brenda. Brenda tells her about being trapped in the cave with Sonny and that they made love. Brenda tells her about Jax and her and how she told Sonny she loved him. Robin maintains that now Sonny will believe Brenda's marriage is over and asks if he'd be right. She tells Robin about her pill addiction. Robin suggests that Brenda visit Kevin Collins. Sonny arrives and Robin goes back to the penthouse with him. Robin asks him to leave Brenda alone right now. She tells him what a hard time she is having with the pill addiction and if he cares for her he will give Brenda some space. Jason shows up, she hears the soft version of how Jason got the cut on his face rescuing Sonny during the cave in. She gets annoyed that they act like it was no big deal when she realizes that they could have both been killed. This sets off an argument between Jason and Sonny about who is more cautious. Jason digs that he doesn't go out without his bodyguards. Sonny retorts that is because Jason doesn't have any. Jason says but if he did he would take them with him. Robin interrupts to say that neither of them would know caution if it punched them in the nose! She takes her pills and triumphantly shares with them that her latest test showed that her viral lode is undectable. Later, she sleeps (the pills make her tired). Jason tells Sonny about going to Dorman's - that he is scared and hiding something. Sonny ponders why Dorman is still alive, he tells Jason about how Dorman refused to do the surgery on Stone when he had lymphoma and needed a biopsy.

Robin returns in April and plans a special evening for her and Jason. Robin and Jason's date is on a river boat where there is a big band dance going on. They start talking about AJ and his drinking and Robin can't help but admit that sometimes she feels bad for him. Since the accident, she and Sonny got a wonderful gift, but AJ and the Quartermaines lost everything. She knows how close they once were. She doesn't mean to hurt him, but she knows the Quartermaines really loved Jason. When he is perplexed she explains that they were his family, until you took his place. You inherited them so to speak. Even he has to see that the mistakes they made, they made out of love. He starts to get defensive, and Robin tries to make him understand what she's trying to say. "If I woke up tomorrow, and didn't know who I was or who you were, would you just give up on me? I hope not. I hope you'd keep trying no matter how many times I pushed you away". Jason wants to know, "why would I go to this stranger and force her to live your life". Robin replies, "Because it was my life first. I'm not trying to make you feel guilty, but Jason did give you lots of things. A healthy body, good teeth, maybe you owe him something back". She goes on to say, "Maybe you can help take care of the people he loved". When Jason asks her why, she tells him because "you're here and he's not". She tells him she believes he's strong enough not to get hurt by them. Jason promises to try and tells her he loves her.

At the ball, Karen sees Jason and goes up to him as if he remembers her. Theyare talking about Robin and Stone when Jason makes a remark, you're Karen, so you use to be my girlfiend, she realizes then that he doesn't remember her. Brenda later tells Jason how strange it was to see the two of them together again. It brought the high school memories back. Jason is surprised to find Robin out in the hallway standing infront of Stone's section of the AIDS quilt. She just had to be there after all. Katherine is prepared to replace Robin for the speech part of the program. She walks on stage with just a cane, to everyone's surprise. She sees Robin in the back with Jason and asks her to come on stage. Robin gives a moving speech about Stone, AIDS, contributions that help those with HIV to have hope for a cure. Ned & Dara sing "You've Got a Friend" as a montage of AIDS quilts, moments are shown. She hugs Lucy, Katherine, Mac, Brenda and Sonny. She leaves, but will be back for part of the summer, she tells Mac and Jason out in the hallway. Karen finds Brenda later at Stone's quilt and they talk awhile. They have a nice conversation about Stone and Jagger.

In July, Robin returns home with questions about her missing boyfriend. Alarmed to learn that Jason has been arrested, Robin asks Mac for help getting him out of jail. Robin heads to jail and has a reunion with Jason. They kiss through the bars till the guard warns her to step back. Then Mac shows up with the news that Jason will be released. Back at Mac's, they look over a picture of the Tinman that Kevin has drawn for Jason's description. Jason heads to the Zebra Lounge when AJ has recognized him. Robin gets an ominous feeling about Jason's mission. As Jason phones in a report to Sonny from outside the Zebra Lounge, an unseen assailant takes aim with a high-powered rifle. Unable to get a clear shot, the Tin Man is forced to abandon the assassination attempt when Jason moves out of range once again. Robin is immensely relieved when Jason returns safe and sound. He comes bearing flowers and tells her why Sonny took off with Brenda. They enjoy each other. She gets him to dance with her, she steps on his shoes like she did as a little girl with her father. He whirls her around. After trailing his prey to the Scorpio house, the Tin Man fires at Jason and Robin through a window.

Robin and Jason throw themselves on the floor as a second shot rings out. Panicked to realize that her boyfriend has been hit in the stomach, Robin calls 911 before attempting to stem Jason's bleeding without infecting him with the contaminated blood flowing from her own minor wound. He is rushed into GH with a frantic Robin. Mac and Mike are both there. The Quartermaines hurry to the hospital after receiving bad news about Jason. Mac tries to comfort his frightened niece, who describes how her happy reunion with Jason turned into a nightmare. As Jason is wheeled into the O.R. for emergency surgery, an enraged Alan declares Sonny at fault for his son's brush with death. Robin weeps in relief as the surgeon reports that Jason is back in stable condition and should recover fully. Mike tells Robin he's almost glad Sonny is on the run because he won't hear about Jason being shot. Jason finally regains consciousness as Robin clings to his hand.

When Jason attempts to get out of his hospital bed, Robin informs him she's determined to protect him from any future trauma. Jason becomes agitated and insists that he needs to speak to Sonny. Sonny dials Jason's cell number and fears the worst when Robin answers.

After hearing the details of the shooting, Sonny tells Robin to convey an order to Jason pulling him off the search for the Tin Man. He looks hurt and upset and not being able to help Sonny. His next visitor is Emily. Jason (who is worried about Sonny) asks Emily to help him sneak away from the hospital. He can barely get himself out of bed, he tries to dress himself and falls to the floor, his wound bleeding. Appalled to find her boyfriend lying on the floor, Robin helps him back into bed and hastily summons Amy to stem the fresh flow of blood from Jason's reopened wound. Meanwhile, Emily stares in horror at her injured brother as memories of another bloody scene flood back into her consciousness. Robin begs Jason to stay put until he's healed enough to safely leave the hospital. Later, Robin confides to Bobbie how frightened she is for Jason. Jason is transferred out of the ICU and into a private room. After apologizing for scaring her, Jason promises Robin he'll be more careful in the future.

Robin tells Kat that she's been accepted at the Sorbonne but tells Katherine she's decided not to go because she's sure Jason won't leave the country if he believes Sonny is still in danger.

Mike stops by to visit Jason. Jason wants to know if he has heard from Sonny. He reports that he hasn't. Just as Robin enters the room, Jason asks Mike urgently that if he hears at all from Sonny to tell him immediately as he would be out of the hospital and off to help him. Robin is very disappointed and afraid when she hears this. After Mike leaves, Robin asks Jason if he intends to strike out after Sonny without even a word of warning or farewell. Sick of dealing with the Quartermaines, Jason vents some of his anger on Robin before assuring her he won't disappear without saying goodbye.

Mac reports that Jax is following Sonny. Then Jason gets a call from one of Sonny's men who reports that Jax was followed. Jason tries to dress and leave as he is desparate to get to Sonny, afraid he is walking into a trap. Robin has it out with Jason when she catches him trying to leave his hospital room. She points out how he always seems more than willing to put his life on the line and accuses him of having a death wish.
