Robert, Holly & Anna #3  June 17 - July 25, 1985 - 8 hr original edit

This edit starts with the aftermath of Robert having just told Holly that he was married to Anna. Holly is hurt, betrayed, she doesn't understand why he didn't tell her the truth when his ex-wife showed up on their doorstep. He points out she has things in her past but she argues that they never affected their marriage. She reminds him that he knew all about Luke. She asks him if he loved Anna and when she realizes he did, she pulls away from him and won't let him touch her. He continues with his story of Anna's betrayal, her life as a double agent, and the Swede's murder. Holly tells him he has thrown away their marriage, that their marriage certificate is worthless. She cries that she respected and admired him so much and the man she married could never have done this! He tells her that Sean stole the Aztec treasure and that Anna is involved. Holly asks if Robert loved Anna as much as he loved her? He responds in a different way. Holly leaves to get some air and asks Robert not to be there when she gets back or she will check into a hotel.

Robert finds Holly down on the docks, he continues to try to explain. She cries that you don't keep secrets from someone you love. He reminds her that he did finally tell her but she says it’s too late. He tries to discount the importance of him having been in love before that what is important is their marriage. Sean asks Anna to resume their partnership as he suggests that if neither her nor Robert have the treasure then there must be a fourth person involved an they should team up and work together. Anna is very suspicious and doesn't believe him at all. Sean and Anna both get a message to meet someone about the treasure, they both arrive to find they have been set up to get out of the office. They rush back but don't find anything out of place or missing. Sean suspects Robert but Anna says that Robert is busy with personal matters and tells him about Robert telling Holly about their past relationship. Sam calls and says that Slater was seen in a bar in Panama (interesting considering he is now back in Port Charles). Sean does a computer search on Slater and it is reported that he was killed last night in a bar fight in Panama.

Anna runs into Robert down on the docks and she notices how upset he is. He tells her that he told Holly everything and didn't spare her any information. When Anna gets back to the office, she tells Sean about Holly and Robert separating. Sean isn't overly concerned and even suggests that perhaps the separation is faked and that Robert really does have the jewels and he will leave town and he and Holly will enjoy living the rest of their lives in luxury. A disbelieving Anna remarks that Holly would never be involved in such a scheme. Sean reminds her of Holly's past as a con artist. Robert arrives and Sean tells him of the report of Slater's death in Panama. Robert insists of getting the report directly and then comments how odd it is since there was no update on Slater on his computer that morning. Anna follows Robert back to the docks and Anna tells him to stop trying to protect her and Sean. She advises him to get the treasure and then to get Holly back, that they have something very special. He is afraid things have gone too far for that.

Robert arrives home to find Holly's suitcase packed and a cab waiting to take her to the airport. She tells Robert that she is going to see Nanny in London. He asks her not to leave and she says that she has to, that it isn't just the big deception, its all of the little lies, that he didn't know Anna, that he was going to a business meeting but was actually having dinner with Anna, and he allowed Anna to lie to her about her scar being from a childhood accident. When he asks if she is coming back, she says she will for Celia's wedding. He clarifies is she coming back to him? She doesn't know but she is so sad, so hurt, so betrayed it doesn't look good for the future of the Scorpio's marriage (that combined with Emma Samms being off to do a miniseries or something at the time).

The next morning, a very sad Robert sits alone at his breakfast table. His solitude is interrupted by Frisco who wants him to check out security at the brownstone before Tony and Tanya are move in there. Meanwhile, Slater has heard about the surprise party at Kelly's that Tony is throwing for Frisco's birthday. He heads down there and Peter's brother tries to stop him but Slater knocks him out.

Robert and Anna check out where the communiqué about Slater originated from and Robert is able to determine the message is a fake and begins to think it is possible that Sean sent the message so that security around Tony would relax, giving the perfect opportunity to take out a hit on him at the party. Anna doesn't think Sean is involved in attempting to murder Tony. She asks Robert to let her help him with this and when he hesitates she asks him to believe that she would never have anything to do with killing anyone. Robert says he believes her and agrees to her help. Robert and Anna head over to the party, Sean arrives at the same time.

Frisco arrives and is very surprised as it is quite a party. Grant approaches Anna as he has recognized her as a former DVX agent. She is not thrilled to be recognized by him, he tells her he understands what it is like to not want to be reminded of that time in her life. They talk briefly about knowing each other then and what it was like working for the DVX. Frisco opens his presents, the cake is brought out and everyone sings to him. Tony has a surprise for Frisco as he slowly stands on his feet (this is the first time Frisco has seen him stand since he was shot). An arm with a gun pointed comes through the door, the observant Robert orders everyone down and tackles Tony to the ground. Slater runs and Sean runs after him, with Robert and Anna close behind. Sean orders Slater to freeze, Slater turns and shoots and Sean returns fire killing Slater. Frisco is furious as Robert had told him Slater was in Brazil, he starts yelling at the incompetence of Robert and his police force. When Sean defends Robert, Frisco jumps all over him as well. Robert and Burt return to Kelly's to question the witnesses.

Holly arrives at Nanny's and cries on her shoulder, she tells her about Robert's past with Anna. She confides that she is worried that Robert loved Anna more than he loves Holly. Robert calls to make sure that Holly is okay and they have a very stilted conversation about her flight. He does tell her that he misses her and he loves her. Robert goes to see Tony and make sure he is okay. Robert fills Tony in on everything going on with Sean and asks Tony how long is he willing to wait before going to the police with what he knows about Sean? Tony pretty much says as long as Robert needs. Frisco comes in and jumps all over Robert again. Tony defends Robert and points out that Robert saved his life tonight and he trusts Robert.

Robert gets an anonymous call that he should watch Frisco's show that day. Prescott shows up at Sean's and tells him that Felicia is very worried about Frisco's show that day. Sean is ticked that Prescott is risking showing up at Sean's as if anyone links them together their whole operation is blown. Frisco shows a pendant from the Aztec treasure and says a scuba diving brought it in that he found it in the harbor and asks for information about the rightful owner and alludes to more items in the treasure (his plan is to smoke out the treasure hunter). Robert and Anna immediately head over the TV station to question Frisco and Robert demands he hands over the items he has from the treasure. Frisco denies having any other pieces. Robert tells Frisco that he is in over his head. After they leave. Felicia urges Frisco to turn over the treasure to Robert. Frisco doesn't trust either Sean or Robert and thinks that Slater's shooting was a setup. Sean is furious as he recognizes the pendant and realizes that Frisco had something to do with stealing the treasure from his safe.

Robert tells Anna that he is going to get divers in the river to search for the river as he has to find that treasure. Frisco's show has heightened the search for the treasure and put him at great risk as who knows how Sean will react. Robert is not suspicious about the circumstances of Slater's death. Sean arrives to see Tony, Frisco comes in and attacks Sean, the security guard comes in and pulls him off of Sean. Frisco tells Sean off, Tanya reams Frisco, Tony defends Robert, and Felicia gently suggests that Frisco realizes he has made a mistake in over reacting. Frisco immediately calms down and apologizes to Sean. Robert warns Frisco to stay away from Sean that he isn't one to take a punch and if he goes after Sean again that Sean will rip him apart.

Burt calls Robert and tells him that they found the bullet from Slater's shooing. Sean only shot him once, and this other bullet was from a second gun. Robert believes that Sean and this other mystery shooter (Prescott) set Slater up. Robert and Anna decide to go searching for the gun. Prescott calls Sean and updates him on the search. Prescott retrieves his gun, Robert and Anna spot him, Robert orders him to stop and gives chase. Prescott fires at Robert and Anna and he grabs her and they both dive for cover. Afterwards, Robert and Anna share a moment of intimacy and he leans in to kiss her. She stops him before he kisses her, and she pulls off the fake scar on her face. He is disgusted at yet another lie. She tells him that she wore the fake scar as a mark of her betrayal, so no other man would ever want her, that it was her scarlet letter. He is angry with her again and tells her that her guilt is on the inside and she has to live with herself forever and all the disguises on earth won't disguise her from herself! She dissolves in tears as he walks away in disgust.

He goes home and does an information search in his computer and discovers that she is telling the truth about wearing the scar all of this time, that it isn't sympathy scam. Robert returns to see Anna and tells her he knows she wasn't lying about wearing the scar. He has softened and tells her he wants to understand. She is hurt and tired of being called a liar and doesn't want to share her feelings with him. She has put the scar back on and he suggests that she is hiding behind the scar. She says she wore the scar as penance so that no man would want her. He is amazed to learn that she hasn't been with another man since him.

Grant is in the basement of the brownstone, holding the necklace of the Aztec treasure, and Sean comes up behind him. Grant tells him that the day he accidentally set off the elaborate security system in Sean's storage area that he realized that Sean had something very valuable stored there. Grant reminds him that people he cares about were hurt by this treasure scam like Tony Jones. Grant wants to know what Sean was planning on buying with the treasure? Sean admits a little excitement, purpose in life, and some happiness. Grant observes that is all at the expense of friends like Robert. Sean says that he and Robert go way back and when the chips are down that they will put their lives on the line for each other. Grant advises him not to count on that this time. Sean counters by asking why Grant has reverted to his DVX ways? A cynical Grant says the attainment of money is the American way. Sean comments that Celia must have really hurt Grant to make him so cynical so young. Grant admits that the money from the treasure can allow him to give Celia the kind of life she wants (Celia left him after finding out he was a spy and is engaged to marry Jimmy Lee Holt).

Prescott arrives at Sean's and Sean fills him in that Grant is the one who stole the treasure. Prescott threatens Grant who pulls out an audiotape and plays it for them both. It contains the conversation between Robert and Sean when Sean confessed to Robert that he had stolen the treasure. After Grant leaves, Prescott wants to kill him. Sean refuses saying that Grant was DVX and Prescott would never be able to get anywhere near him. Prescott wants to know if he plans on actually sharing the treasure with Grant? Sean says no he will not be partners with someone who stole from him, that he will have bide his time as Grant is as deadly and as dangerous as Robert was.

Anna gives Robert the jewels that she bought from Slater while she was in NY. He asks her if she will keep wearing the scar? She says yes, till the treasure search is over and she leaves Port Charles. She seems somewhat healed inside and says for the first time she thinks there is hope for her. He kisses her softly on her cheek before he leaves. Sean calls a British friend, Algernon, and commiserates about Robert and Holly's separation. Sean suggests that if Robert thought that Holly was in danger from someone like Basil that he would immediately head to London to protect Holly, that would give them a chance to talk and they could then reconcile. Sean cautions that Holly should be unavailable when Algernon contacts Robert as he will immediately contact Holly. Algernon calls Robert and tells him that Holly saw Basil and she is very worried about it. Robert does call Holly who is out for the day. When a worried Robert can't reach Holly, he does head for London (falling into Sean's lure to get him out of town so that he can move the treasure while Robert is gone).

Robert tells Anna about his fears for Holly and the danger that Basil presents. Anna wishes Robert good luck and seems to genuinely hope he can work things out with Holly. Robert is smart enough to realize this could be a set up from Sean but he can't reach Holly and can't take the chance. He called Scotland Yard and Basil is out on bail. Robert gives Anna a code to let him know if Sean makes a move. Anna discovers Sean checking up on Robert's whereabouts and threatens him. He plays the audio tape that Grant blackmailed him with and tells her that the person who would most be hurt by that tape are Robert and Holly and he advises her not to do anything hasty. Frisco removes one of the jewels from the Aztec Crown and tells Felicia that he plans on showing that on his show as he knows it will drive Sean crazy. She is very worried that he is playing a very dangerous game, he is trying to push Sean into action. Sean watches as Frisco shows another jewel supposedly found by a diver in the Port Charles harbor. Frisco appeals to the audience to find the owner of the jewels and says he is trying to do them a favor by returning the jewels to their rightful owner. Sean is very annoyed when he recognizes the jewel. Sean has told Prescott to purchase two Pullman train cars and a working antique train engine. Sean instructs Grant to date Anna to keep her away from Sean. Grant agrees but warns him that he won't have anything to do with Frisco and Felicia getting hurt and demands that Sean stay away from them.

Anna is following Sean, and he confronts her at Kelly's and brags that he could lose her in an instant. She brags that even if he had a 30 second lead on her that she could still catch up to him. He takes her bet, leaves and pays a lemonade seller outside $50 to run into Anna spilling lemonade all over her. Sean sneaks upstairs and is hiding in Felicia's room. When she comes in he tells her he wants to talk to her. She is very nervous and tries to make excuses to go back downstairs. He begins questioning her about the jewels and tells her how concerned he is about her safety, that she is close to Frisco and there are people who would do anything to find out what Frisco knows about the jewels and he wouldn't want to see her hurt (this whole conversation is a bit on the creepy side, they are definitely making Sean the bad guy in this piece). Frisco comes in and is very unhappy to see Felicia alone there with Sean and kicks him out, and hugs Felicia relieved that she is okay.

Sean meets with Grant and they go over their plans for this evening. Sean is feeling a bit full of himself that he is a step ahead of both Robert and Anna at the moment. With Robert out of town though he tells Grant that Anna has been following him and with the dinner party at the Versaille Room that Sean has set up, Anna can watch Sean and Sean can watch Anna while Grant is off moving the treasure with Prescott. The dinner party he has arranged gets everyone out of the brownstone for the evening. Grant invites Anna to attend the dinner as his guest.

Robert arrives to see Holly and is relieved that she is safe. She tells him that she hasn't seen Basil and he chalks it up to Algernon trying to get them back together. Robert calls his contact at Scotland Yard and he confirms that Basil is in New Zealand and he can't leave the country without written authorization. Robert puts Holly on the phone so she can get confirmation and reassurance. He then gives Holly the message from Anna, "Cupid has shot another arrow." Holly is annoyed as she gives Robert the message. He tells her that means Sean is on the move and he has to take the first flight out in the morning. Holly says he must be exhausted? He says he is fine and just needs something to eat. She offers to go out with him for dinner as there is nothing substantial in the house. He appreciates that as he didn't think she wanted to have anything to do with him. He tells her he is worried about Frisco's stunt putting him and Felicia in danger and that is one of the reasons he has to get back immediately. He asks Holly to go with him but she says she can't right now but will return for the wedding. He believes she can't forgive him, she says it isn't that its that he will never be the same Robert, that he is a stranger now and she doesn't know if she would have married this Robert. Robert is curious about what advice Nanny has given Holly? She says that Nanny told her she would have to fight for Robert if she wants him. Robert observes that Holly isn't sure she wants Robert and she doesn't argue that.

At Sean's dinner party, Grant gets a call that a patient needs him and he leaves to go to the hospital. Anna pleads a headache and says she is going to the ladies room in search of some aspirin. She tells the maitre de that she isn't feeling well but doesn't want to spoil the party by having someone insist on seeing her home so she asks him to wait 10 minutes and then give Sean the message that she has gone home. Grant and Prescott don ski masks and sneak into the basement of the brownstone. Anna arrives and pulls a gun on one of the masked men (its Grant), Prescott comes up behind her and knocks her out.

#3B Prescott calls Sean and tells him that the treasure is out of the brownstone but there was a minor slip up when Anna showed up. Frisco and Felicia show up and find an unconscious Anna lying in a heap on the basement floor. Anna comes to in a hospital bed with a concerned Grant treating her. Grant questions her on what she remembers of her attack and she chalks it up to his DVX training. Prescott and Sean discuss Sean's plan on renovating one of the train cars while camouflaging the other. Sean plans to do a bait and switch, to have Robert believe that the treasure is on one train car while Sean actually moves it out on the other car. Sean visits Anna in the hospital and she is very unhappy over being hit over the head. She reminds Sean that he promised to find and turn over the treasure to Robert. Sean tells her that things between him and Robert haven't been the same since she came to Port Charles. She blames him that he has ruined their friendship with his greed. He warns her that he will take her and Robert down with him. Sean throws her betrayal of him and her country back in her face.

Robert goes to see Frisco and Felicia and Frisco begins questioning Robert about why Anna was at the brownstone and says he doesn't buy her story at all. Robert has about had it with Frisco's game and tells him he doesn't care what he believes. He warns Frisco that when the evidence is in that he will nail whoever it is, friend or foe! Robert goes over to the brownstone to check out what is in the basement and he is not at all happy when Frisco and Felicia also arrive after he just warned them to stay out of it. He mentions obstruction of justice and says he might take him some time but he is pretty sure he can find some statue in Port Charles to charge them with and warns Felicia she is in this too!

Robert visits Anna next and tells her that he is sure that Sean did have the treasure all the time and that it was hidden in the brownstone basement and he moved it the night she was attacked. He continues that the trip to London was a set up and he is pretty sure that Sean was behind it. Anna asks him how things went with Holly? He doesn't feel know if Holly wants him back it but reports that she is returning for Celia and Jimmy Lee's wedding in 10 days. Anna encourages him to hold onto his marriage and she assures him that once the treasure is found that she will leave Port Charles and close the curtain on their past once and for all.

It bothers Sean that Robert hasn't been around to question him, he knows that Robert has to have figured out that he was sent to London on a scam and that the treasure was moved the night of the dinner party. Sean shows up at Robert's and gets the silent treatment from his old friend. Sean just can't leave well enough alone as he waits for Robert's questions which never come. Finally Sean suggests that Anna had arranged to move the treasure and her cronies double crossed her, he points out she faked being sick at the dinner party. Robert just glowers at him and finally he explodes, "I'm going to nail you Sean if it’s the last thing I do! You’re a greedy crook trying to pass yourself off as an adventurer. As of right now old friendships are off! I'm going to get you my friend, this is what we call a vendetta! Get that? A vendetta! I'm going to have your pelt on the wall, now get the hell out of my house!" Sean goes with no further argument.

Holly arrives home and finds a telegram has arrived and is unopened and surmises that Robert has been out all night. Celia arrives and tells Holly that she found Jimmy Lee in bed with Lorena Sharp! Later, Robert returns home and is thrilled to find Holly has arrived. She doesn't want him to get the wrong idea but they both want to work on their marriage. He offers to run her bath and she can take a nap to rest up. He orders a beautiful bouquet of flowers and tells her there aren't enough flowers in the whole world to show her how much he loves her. He reminds her that they had a good marriage before all of the Anna business and promises her a second honeymoon and says he will make up to her all the times he wasn't honest with her. She says she can handle the truth but she can't handle the dishonesty. He hugs her and holds her tight, grateful of having a chance with her.

Robert sends Holly a telegram and asks her to meet him at the Versaille Room and signs it, "The Phantom". Holly tells Robert that Celia's wedding is off. They have a nice romantic dinner and she tells him that she does have hope for their marriage. He leans into kiss but she pulls away and says no. She tells him she needs time before she will be ready to make love to him again. The next morning when Holly comes downstairs, an apron wearing Robert has made her breakfast. Holly would like to know how long Anna is planning on staying in Port Charles? He tells her that once they find the treasure that Anna will leave Port Charles. Robert tells Anna that he has found the crown jewels at Kelly's! He explains that Frisco and Felicia have bought a horrid diorama and have hidden the jewels in plain site. He laughingly comments that the WSB could do worse than hire them. He tells her that he will leave them there as no one will think to look for them there and they are safe for the time being. Earlier, Felicia had showed him a list of other items being sold and she thought it was odd that among them was the Pullman train car that Tony was shot in. Robert asks Burt to run a trace on who bought it.

Meanwhile, Sean is offering Jimmy Lee the use of his train car for his wedding to Celia. Sean tells him he plans on taking the train up to Nag's Head. Grant visits Anna to supposedly check up on her well being. He removes her fake scar and tells her he discovered it while she was unconscious. She explains she was wearing it to do penance. Holly arrives at her door and Anna has answered it without the scar! Grant realizing how shocked Holly is, leaves to give them privacy. Holly is furious at yet another lie and asks if Robert knew about the fake scar as well. Anna's face gives away that answer (though she doesn't tell Holly that he only recently learned the truth). Holly accuses her of using it as a cover for her affair with Robert that they have been having right under Holly's nose. Holly tells her she has destroyed what little hope she had left for her marriage. Holly accuses them both of lying to her and begins to believe they have been having an affair the entire time! Anna begs her to give Robert another chance. Holly declares never again and slams out of the door!

Sean and Grant continue planning how they will keep Robert and Anna busy on the wedding. Sean suggests that he will have them judge the costume competition, the theme of the wedding train trip is Gay 90's. Grant returns to see if Anna is okay and starts asking questions to find out what is going on between her and Holly. Anna tells him that as an agent she deliberately hurt people as part of her job. She says that she never meant for any of this to happen, she never meant to hurt anyone. Anna is desperate to get a hold of Robert to warn him about Holly but is unable to reach him. She tells Grant that the fake scar was her penance for all of the people she hurt. He comments that seems an extreme punishment when she is such a beautiful woman.

When Robert returns home, Holly confronts him with the latest lie she has uncovered, that Anna doesn't have a scar. He admits that he knows and she tells him this is the last lie she is going to hear! She accuses him of lying to cover up an affair with Anna and he is adamant that while maybe he hasn't always told her the truth, he has never been unfaithful to her. She is tired of living in his world of lies, his little games, and she won't live like this anymore. He reminds her of her own past when she was so low that she couldn't get any lower and that he picked her up and dusted her off and put her back on the road to self respect. She accuses him of welcoming Anna back into his life when she came to town and he welcomed his past with her. He tells her that she is so wrong about that. She tells him that it is over and she packs her bag again, this time it is a much larger suitcase. She refuses to tell anyone where she is going as she doesn't want Robert to be able to find her and she doesn't want to be constantly looking over her shoulder for Robert around ever corner and she is afraid that if she tells Celia that Robert will get the information out of her.

Grant and Sean talk about the medical ship, and Sean is amused by Grant's altruistic intentions for the hospital ship and observes that he is detecting a hint of conscience on Grant's part. Grant reminds him that he is a doctor and the medical supplies will help many people in impoverished countries. They bicker a bit as they have different motivations, to Sean it is all a game, a way to match wits against Robert. He brags that even Robert would admire the intricate plan that Sean has put in place. Sean is curious about Grant's motivations, it becomes apparent that he is only doing this to increase his bank account to be able to compete against Jimmy Lee's bank account for Celia. He believes that she left him as he couldn't provide her with the lifestyle that she wanted.

Robert sees Holly one more time before she leaves. She tells him she needs time before deciding what she will do and starts talking divorce. He asks her to please call him before she files for divorce if that is what she decides to do. She says at that point there isn’t much he could do but he asks her for that promise anyway. She agrees and asks him in return not to try to find her. She tells him again she needs time without constantly looking over her shoulder for him to appear.

Anna runs into Holly in the park, she stops her and promises that there was no affair and she never tried to take Robert away from Holly. Anna assures her that even if she had tried that there is no way she would have succeeded. Anna tells Holly that Robert will find Holly wherever she goes that she is underestimating Robert. She says she doesn’t think so as the one thing Robert has taught her is how to disappear completely. Anna doesn’t understand why? Anna promises that as soon as the treasure thing is over that she will be gone from Port Charles forever and Robert won’t even care. Holly accuses her of being a hypocrite. Anna says she isn’t that but Holly doesn’t realize what she is throwing away. As Anna continues to beg on Robert’s behalf, Holly realizes that Anna still loves Robert. Anna admits that she does but that doesn’t matter as Robert loves Holly. Holly observes that she wouldn’t be so sure as things are going Anna’s way right now as Anna will be here in Port Charles with Robert while Holly is gone.

Holly comes into Kelly’s and says goodbye to Ruby, it’s the closest she can get to saying goodbye to Luke. Felicia overhears and tells Frisco that Holly is leaving Robert. She blames the treasure and tells him that the treasure is cursed and begs him to get rid of it, indicating where he has the pieces stashed in Kelly’s.

Burt tells Robert that the line of credit used to purchase the Pullman train has been traced back to Sean. Holly arrives at Sean’s office and overhears a conversation between Grant and Sean about moving the treasure. Prescott comes in behind her and realizing she has overheard them planning and kidnaps her.

The next day, Prescott arrives at Sean’s penthouse and tells him how difficult Holly has been. He warns Prescott to treat her with kid gloves and if anything happens to Holly, leaving the threat hanging in the air (we don’t see Prescott telling Sean about kidnapping Holly, so no scene is missing here as I went back and checked the complete episodes to be sure as felt like there was a gap here, that would have been a good scene. The show must have run long that day as it felt like they cut something out here).

A sad Robert wanders around his house, he finds a message from Holly on his computer screen asking him again not to look for her that she will call him. Burt arrives and tells Robert that the hospital ship has suddenly been ordered to change course to Nag’s Head, North Carolina, the same destination the wedding train is headed to. Robert is determined to keep an eye on that train as he is sure Sean will be using it to transport the treasure.

Sean is furious when Prescott arrives at the Pullman car as he was warned never to come there. Frisco and Felicia have followed him there, Prescott hears someone coming and gets out the other exit before they enter. When they ask Sean about the man who just entered he claims he hasn’t seen anyone but his decorator was just there. He tries to distract them by telling them he is glad they are there as he would like to invite them to join the wedding train trip. They agree but before leaving, Frisco asks to take a tour. Sean tells them it is out of the question as the car is a wreck and wants them to wait till the decorator works his magic. Frisco won’t take no for an answer as he wants to see it before the transformation and he starts looking around, Sean is nervous when Frisco looks out the exit where Prescott left.

Grant and Anna meet at Kelly’s and he tells her that he feels a bond with her. They agree they are like family and Anna observes it is due to their having a shared experience as DVX agents in the past. He tells her he has the same bond with Robert and seems genuinely sincere in this. They both lament the Robert and Holly situation and hope they will reunite.

Burt has figured out that Sean has something to do with the Mexican treasure. Robert is surprised at Burt’s insight and tells him that nothing has been rougher than his investigation of Sean except Holly leaving him. He tells Burt it is like being stabbed in the back by his own brother. Robert tells Burt that he is sure that Sean will be picking up the treasure along the way to Nag’s Head. Burt is surprised by this with all of the people on board the train and fills him in on the plans for the wedding train. Robert determines to be on board that train. Robert surmises that that the wedding party is just a diversion for Sean’s real intention and determines that Nag’s Head will be the end of the line for Donnelly.

Sean arrives and is horrified to find Holly bound and gagged. He unties her and tells her how sorry he is and she responds by slapping him. Sean begs her to cooperate so that he can make her as comfortable as possible. She wants to know when he will realize her. He tells her that she is sharing the train with the treasure and he will release her as soon as he has moved the treasure. This is the second train the Sean purchased, the wedding train doesn’t contain the treasure and is a diversion.

Holly demands to know how she can betray Robert like this? Is his greed so powerful? He swears that he never intended on hurting Robert that he just wanted to match his wits against Robert that he needed the challenge. He hoped that Robert would never find out that he was the one who stole the treasure and now he has to play it out as far as he can. Holly pushes him down and makes a break for it. Sean of course catches her and returns her to the train.

Frisco calls Robert and tells him about Felicia recognizing Prescott as the man who had been following her and they followed him to Sean’s train and saw him duck inside. Robert is impressed and commends Frisco that he has done good work!

Robert meets with Frisco and Felicia and they fill him in. He asks if they don’t have something for him? They play dumb and Robert moves the diorama and retrieves the jewels that Frisco had stolen from Sean. They agree that now they are on the same side. Frisco tells Robert about hiding in a closet at Sean’s and overhearing him and Robert and Anna and being sure that Robert was working with Sean. Robert now understands Frisco’s lack of cooperation recently and wishes Frisco had come and talked to him about it. Robert tells Frisco that Sean has the rest of the treasure and believes he has it stashed somewhere either on the train or nearby. Frisco tells Robert that he and Felicia have been invited to join the wedding train party. Robert informs them of his suspicions that Sean will pick up the treasure along the way to Nag’s Head. Robert tells them he is glad for their help and is looking forward to working with them.

Robert and Anna visit Sean on the train and have a look around. Robert asks him point blank where the treasure is? Sean laughs and of course doesn’t answer but does invite Robert and Anna to join the wedding party and of course they accept the invitation.

Robert tells Anna that Frisco and Felicia want in on the treasure hunt. She is amused as aren’t they a little young? He laughs that they obviously have skills as they broke into Sean’s and retrieved the treasure Robert and Anna weren’t even successful trying to get in from the outside. He says he would rather have them working for him so he can keep an eye on them and try to keep them out of trouble as Frisco can be rash.
