Back outside, Taggart continues questioning Sonny. Once Zander is brought out, Taggart tries to question Liz again. She gives him a disjointed version about how she was taken from her studio and pleads with him to let her accompany Zander to the hospital. Sonny rags on Taggart for interrogating Liz instead of getting her obviously needed medical attention. Jason ignores Taggart and whisks Liz off to the hospital. Once alone, Taggart presses Sonny for details. Sonny claims that since the kidnappers are dead the situation is over. Taggart doesn’t agree and promises to get to the bottom of what happened. At GH, when Lucky persists in talking to Liz after she asks him to leave her be, Jason pushes him up against the wall to bring the point home. Sonny intervenes before things escalate. Jason goes after Liz and Sonny tells Lucky to calm down. Informing Sonny that he doesn’t take orders, Lucky tells Sonny that he is tired of watching him and Jason push people around and hopes to be around when someone pushes back. Taggart tries to question Sonny again, but Sonny doesn't share much information.

Carly returns with some medicine for Sonny but he only wants her. He kisses her and starts to pull her down on the sofa. When a knock sounds on the door, Sonny insists on answering. Carly worries that he thinks it might be Alexis. He explains that someone is supposed to be dropping off Alexis' keys. It’s only the moving men and they are looking for Alexis’ apartment. Carly tells them not to scratch any of the walls. Sonny offers to cook breakfast but Carly tells him she can't eat because of a medical procedure she's having done. Sonny tells Carly she doesn’t have to have anything done and promises that he will love her just the same even if they never have a baby together. Jason arrives and Carly leaves them alone while she goes to the doctor. Sonny tells Jason he is concerned about Carly because he is sure she is hiding something that is hurting her. He tells Jason he can't bear the thought of losing another baby. Jason tells Sonny that he thinks Carly is doing everything for him and is hopeful about the fertility treatments. Benny comes by the now empty PH and tells Jason that Roy has bought Pier 52 from under them. Jason is sure that someone is setting a trap to take Sonny down.

Carly stops into see Alexis and ask what her cover story is going to be. Alexis asks why Carly thinks it's okay to interrogate her. Carly says because her husband is the father of the baby. Carly warns Alexis not to wait too long to come up with a story and suggests that Alexis say she used a sperm bank so Sonny won't suspect the truth. Sonny and Jason turn their attention to trying to figure out what Liz's kidnappers wanted and what they'll do next since they didn’t get it the first time. Ned drops off Alexis' keys. Sonny asks Ned to wish Alexis the best for him but Ned refuses and admits he hopes he never hears Alexis speak Sonny's name again. Sonny gives the keys to Jason but tells him if Carly gets pregnant that Sonny will kick him out (as they planned on remodeling for extra bedroom/family room).

At Mercy Hospital, Carly is behind a hospital curtain when she hears Dr. Bonds directing another patient to the next cubicle. To her shock she recognizes the other patient by her voice, its Alexis. Alexis is overjoyed when she finally hears the baby's heartbeat while Carly is brought to tears by the same sound. Carly starts to bolt from the room but Sonny walks in with a bouquet of flowers for her. Carly tries to walk out but Sonny sees her tears and insists on knowing why she is upset. Behind the cubicle curtain, Alexis starts to panic when she recognizes Sonny’s voice. Sonny wants to take Carly to another hospital when Carly claims the procedure was painful (to cover why she is really crying). Carly claims she just wants to go home but Sonny insists on staying and seeing the doctor. Behind the curtain, Alexis (who can hear them clearly) is upset at the possibility that she could be discovered at any minute. The doctor notices and comments on the increase in her blood pressure and heart rate. Carly tries to use the doctor’s comments as further excuse to leave the area quickly. Sonny picks out the baby’s heartbeat and comments on it. Realizing that it disturbs Carly, Sonny finally gives in and escorts her from the room. Once they are gone, Alexis' readings return to normal. The doctor tells her again how important it is for Alexis to reduce her stress levels. Alexis promises to try harder. Sonny again tries to tell Carly that she doesn’t have to go through this ordeal because he will he happy just to have her and Michael. Carly tells him that she wants a baby more than anything and asks for his support. When Dr. Bonds finally arrives, Sonny asks the doctor not to make Carly wait so long the next time. They are very happy when she reports that the preliminary tests don't show any fertility problems. Carly wants to go home and start working on making a baby right away.

Jason fills Alexis in on Roy’s purchase of Pier 52. He asks is she can try to find out who's backing Roy financially. Alexis is also curious and agrees to the job. The sound of breaking glass in the hallway causes Alexis to drop her brief case. When she goes to investigate, Jason picks the papers up and notices that the top one is an OB-GYN form with her pregnancy information on it. He looks it over and notes that the baby’s father is not named. When Alexis returns she finds Jason putting everything back into her briefcase and takes over the task. Jason tells Alexis that if he or Sonny can give her any help she needs only to call. Alexis takes some notes and promises to get back to him as soon as she knows anything (not realizing Jason has discovered her pregnancy). He recommends that she not visit the pier because it could be dangerous.

Sonny encourages Carly to relax and they make love. Later, Sonny is watching Carly sleep when he hears Jason come in. Sonny goes downstairs and asks if Jason found out anything about Pier 52. Jason says he has Alexis working on it, then asks Sonny to step out into the hall. Out in the hall, Sonny asks what is wrong and comments that Jason looks like he just run over. Jason hesitates and Sonny tells him that if something is wrong he will take care of it. Jason tells Sonny that Alexis is pregnant. Sonny can’t believe Alexis is pregnant. Jason insists it is true. Sonny figures if it was his baby, Alexis would’ve told him. There has to be another explanation. He insists that she wouldn’t keep a secret. Jason explains why: “Carly.” Jason admits he himself almost didn’t bring this news to Sonny since Sonny is so happily with Carly again, perhaps Alexis felt the same way. No excuse, Sonny insists.

By this time, Carly has noticed Sonny is not in bed with her any longer and has wandered into the hallway where the men are talking. She can tell it’s something bad. But, she doesn’t ask and doesn’t even want to know when Sonny tries to tell her. He tells her that Alexis might be pregnant with his baby. Carly asks if he has proof this is his baby. She insists if it were his baby, Alexis would’ve come running to him with the news to get everything she has wanted. Sonny says it is the only thing that adds up, that this baby is his. Carly suggests he just drop it, let it go, but Sonny says he can’t do that. If it is his baby, he has to do the right thing. Carly wonders what that is and where it leaves her. Sonny tries to reassure her that she is his wife and he loves her. The proof is that he talked this over with her before heading over to Alexis’ place. Carly is upset that Sonny is going to go get from Alexis what he can’t get from her. Sonny warns her not to go there. Carly tells him if he leaves, she won’t be there when he gets back. He leaves. Carly leaves a message for Alexis on her machine. Alexis calls her back, but Carly doesn’t get the urgent news out before Sonny shows up at Alexis’ door. Alexis hangs up on Carly. Sonny gets right to the point: “I understand you’re pregnant. I’m the father, aren’t I?”

Jason shows up to meet with Roy with an offer from Sonny. Roy isn’t even interested and the two men spar verbally. Jason wonders how Roy even got the money to buy the pier. Felicia pipes in, “He got it from me.” Sonny goes to see Alexis. He is very straight with her about her pregnancy and asks "Am I the father?'' She looks bewildered as Ned bursts in to say " No, the baby is mine". He explains about the one night affair they had in Brenda's old home during the rainstorm when his car broke down. Sonny asks her if Ned is telling the truth. With some hesitation, she tells him yes. Sonny leaves and apologizes to Alexis. Sonny tells Jason that the baby is not his. He knows that Carly is hurt and angry. In the meantime, Carly spends some time with Michael. She leaves the key to Sonny's and her wedding rings behind. Sonny returns to his home and sees the key and rings lying on a table. He looks somewhat angry and perplexed.

Sonny went to Carly’s and Michael said that his mommy had been crying so would Uncle Sonny fix it? Carly finally came home and she and Sonny fought. She told him that they were over even though Sonny said the baby’s not his. Carly said that she is a convenience to him but Sonny said it’s not over. Carly gave him all his jewelry back and said she was filing for divorce. She felt he had chosen Alexis over her but Sonny said they weren’t over and Carly yelled for him to just leave. Carly and Alexis got into it on the docks and Alexis told her that Ned told Sonny he’s the daddy. Carly said that she should tell Sonny the truth since Alexis shunned her for lying about Michael’s paternity and now she’s doing the same thing to Sonny’s baby. Carly also tossed in how Alexis is still hurting that her “roll in the hay” with Sonny was a one time thing, that Sonny never loved her and now he’s back with the woman he really loves. Carly did say she would keep the secret though only for Sonny’s sake. Next is a music montage of Kristina sobbing in the rain, Jason going to Carly’s with her crying on his shoulder, Sonny hearing a message from Dr. Bonds saying that Carly can get pregnant.

Carly awakens after calling out Sonny’s name to find that Jason is still there. He tries to tell her that everything will work out but Carly insists that she will not forgive Sonny for the way he chose Alexis over her. Jason tries to get her to see that it isn’t true but Carly insists it is really over this time. The doorbell rings and thinking it’s Sonny again, Carly throws the door open and yells for him to go to hell only to find Bobbie on the other side. Bobbie greets Jason and inquires about Michael. The following conversation makes it obvious that Jason has spent the night. Immediately after Jason departs, Bobbie scolds Carly for falling into her old bad habits. Carly sarcastically thanks Bobbie for the faith in her. Bobbie inquires as to what happened this time. Carly doesn’t give her any details but tells Bobbie that it is really over this time because she is tried of always being second in Sonny’s life. Bobbie advises her to try and work things out and comments that if Carly had slept with Jason it would destroy Sonny. Carly agrees and you can see the wheels turning in her head. Bobbie notices and advises Carly to try harder to fix her marriage instead of scheming to permanently end it by concocting a revenge scheme that will surely backfire.

Sonny arrives at the PC Grille and invites himself to sit down with Alexis. Alexis reminds him that they no longer have any business either personal or professional. Sonny claims he just has one question then comments (pointing at the glass of milk) that he is glad to see she is taking care of herself. Ned appears behind Sonny and orders him to back off. Alexis tells both that she doesn’t need their help with her diet and tells Ned that the sooner he goes away the sooner Sonny can finish his business with her and leave. Sonny asks Alexis to recommend another attorney because he didn’t care for the previous ones. Before leaving, he comments that she could go easy on Ned because it is only natural for a man to want to take care of a woman when she is carrying his child.

Jason admits that they have had no luck finding out where Roy got the money for Pier 52. Sonny suggests that only a few people would have the financial resources, like the Q’s or Jax. Jason tells Sonny that he spent the night at Carly’s listening to her cry. Sonny says he thinks Carly just needs time to calm down. Jason doesn’t think it will be that easy and tries to explain why Carly feels betrayed. Sonny keeps interrupting Jason’s attempt to explain why Carly feels like Sonny choose Alexis over her. Sonny asks for Jason advice and Jason says he thinks Carly wants respect. Sonny thinks that three wedding ceremonies show a lot of respect. He tells Jason about Dr. Bond's call and says he believes that the news that she can conceive will bring Carly back to him. Sonny tells Jason that he wants to buy the club back for Carly and tells him to make Jax an offer.

Kristina manages to get past Johnny and tells Sonny that he is responsible for Alexis being pregnant. She says that it is his fault because Alexis rebounded to Ned when Sonny broke her heart. She tells Sonny that he needs to break up with Carly and open up his heart to a woman who loves. Sonny listens quietly to Kristina’s tirade until she says Carly is a witch and starts to call her names. Sonny orders Kristina to shut up. He tells her to get out and never return to the building since she doesn’t live there anymore. Kristina leaves but assures him that what goes around comes around and his heart break is coming.

Carly invites Jason over to dinner. He resists the idea and she tries to coaxes him by saying she will cook whatever he wants. Jason finally agrees to the evening but only if Carly will order pizza instead of cooking herself. Carly hangs up with a self-satisfied smile and goes through her lingerie. She picks out a sheer black lacy nightgown. Holding it up in front of the mirror she smiles a calculating smile as she puts her plan into action. Later, Jason tells Sonny he is pretty sure Jax is not financing Roy. He also says Jax isn’t interested in selling the club. Sonny wants it back to give to Carly. Jason says he doesn’t think that is what she wants. He tells Sonny how they have dinner plans that night. Sonny is curious about dinner, but asks Jason’s advice about him and Carly. The one thing Jason says is that Sonny shouldn’t wait around, that sometimes you wait too long and miss the opportunity. Sonny takes this advice and turns it around on Jason, suggesting Jason not wait around any longer himself and tell Elizabeth how he feels. Sonny gets a call from Carly. She wants him to be at her house at 7:00 to pick up Michael. He compares notes with Jason and they realize that she is up to something. Jason suggests he back out of dinner with Carly, but Sonny wants her to think her plan is going to go off without a hitch. Before they part, Sonny tells Jason to make sure he has an alibi for that night as something big might go down. Sonny suggests Jason use Elizabeth.

At Carly’s house, Bobbie shows up to take Michael for the night. She is no dummy and immediately reads Carly and her plans. She knows Carly is planning to have Sonny find her in bed with Jason. Carly doesn’t deny it and Bobbie tries to talk her out of it. Carly is bent on revenge and assures Bobbie that what Sonny did was bad. She tells her mom she is sick of wasting her love on Sonny. Her plan will be perfect. There is no changing her mind. With Bobbie and Michael gone, she sets her plan in motion and calls Sonny. She lights candles, puts on lingerie and gets into bed. There is a knock on her bedroom door, she thinks it is Jason and has changed her mind. She is crying and through the closed door tells him to go away. She can’t go through with her plan. Actually, it is Sonny outside her door. She cries that she can’t go through with her revenge scheme and she will always love Sonny. He decides to come in to the bedroom then and tells her he will always love her, too. Sonny and Carly argue. She loves Sonny but is pushing him away. She said she loved him more than he loved her. Sonny interrupted her at one point to tell her that she could get pregnant, they could have the child they both wanted. Carly did her best to try to make Sonny mad at her by reminding him of all the mistakes she has made, and she failed at this. He kissed her and they began to undress, when a serious call from Jason interrupted what might have been Sonny's chance to break through Carly's hurt and anger. Carly told him not to go but he said he had to. He was forced to leave for business's sake. After he left, she called Scott Baldwin and said she wanted him to draw up divorce papers and a restraining order to keep Sonny away from her. Alcazar is on the phone watching as a mysterious woman (whose face isn't seen -this is the first glimpse of Brenda's return) dropped her robe in front of him.

Felicia interrupts Roy and an unidentified man/courier on the docks. Roy introduces man as the insurance adjuster. The man plays along and then leaves. When he is gone, Felicia and Roy talk about the fire being a message from Sonny. Roy feels Sonny is just a thug and refuses to back down. Roy calls Sonny and sets up a meeting at the Oasis. Sonny thinks Roy deliberately choose a strip club to remind him of his background. Roy continues his ‘disrespectful’ attitude at the meeting. Wynona approaches Sonny and offers him a lap dance. He turns her down, but gives her a tip anyway. Roy tells her not to take offense, Sonny just prefers blondes. The talk turns to business and Roy assures Sonny that he is not afraid. Sonny tells him he is stupid not to be and lists a slew of accidents that could happen if Roy doesn’t cooperate. Roy maintains that he has and will survive whatever comes his way. Sonny offers Roy $2 million for the pier again, but Roy refuses. Sonny tells Roy that his personal grudge will cost him. Sonny warns Roy that when his usefulness to the person who is backing him is gone, that person will drop him and Roy will end up road kill. Meanwhile backstage, Wynona convinces Courtney to approach the high roller who tipped her and offer him a private dance to earn some easy $$. Tempted by the thought of going home early, Courtney finally agrees and heads toward the table. Courtney recognizes Sonny’s voice and backtracks before he sees her. Roy however does notice her.

Later Roy’s contact calls ‘the boss’, who agrees to meet with Roy but reminds his employee that Roy is not the real focus of his interest in PC. A woman enters the room but we don’t get to see her face. Sonny and Jason wonder who is behind Roy and determine to be prepared for whatever is coming. Carly blows into the PD and demands to know why Scott doesn’t have the restraining order ready yet. Scott informs her that he is on his way to pick it up. Bobbie doesn’t need to hear the details to realize that Carly’s plan didn’t go as expected but is surprised to learn of Carly’s newest tactic. At Kelly's, Sonny enters and demands an audience with Carly. She tells him to stop calling her his wife and refuses his attempted bribe, her favorite apple turnover. Sonny wants them to try and talk things out but Carly refuses to listen to anything. Carly tells Sonny that she has taken a restraining order out to keep him away from her. When Sonny refuses to leave, a cop who was having breakfast at the counter, arrests him on the spot while Carly looks on in delight.

Once she is outside, she calls Jason and tells him she needs to talk to him immediately. Jason is irritated to learn that Carly is the reason that Sonny has been arrested and points out that Sonny currently does not have a lawyer. Carly claims she doesn’t care about Sonny anymore but doesn’t want to be the reason he is locked up (because of his claustrophobia). She asks Jason to get Sonny released. He agrees to accompany her to the station but makes it clear that SHE will have to handle Sonny’s release on her own. Sonny is brought into the station while Alexis is still there. He is happy someone called her, but Alexis lets him know that she is there on Roy’s behalf. Sonny is puzzled as to why Alexis would claim he is too dangerous to work for then put herself at risk working for Roy. Carly and Jason arrive as the two are speaking and Carly immediately flies into a rage and tells Taggart to throw the book at Sonny. Sonny calmly asks Carly to get him out but Carly would rather cross words with Alexis. She calls Alexis Sonny’s lap dog. Alexis denies that Sonny called her and when Sonny confirms that Alexis now represents Roy, Carly calls her a turncoat. Mac announces that Sonny has to be released because he was never officially served with the restraining order and consequently didn't violate it. Mac tells Jason and Carly to leave. He then tells Sonny to wait awhile before leaving but insists that he is now on notice and had better not violate the order. Before leaving Sonny tells Alexis that she really should reconsider having Roy as a client if she wants to keep herself and the baby safe.

Sonny shows up at Carly's house and tells her to rescind the restraining order. She refuses and he warns her that if she doesn’t give them a chance to work things out he will take matters into his own hands and she won’t like it. Carly calls him selfish and arrogant. Sonny accuses her of blowing their chance for a life together and tells her she is the most important person in his life. When Carly again insists that Sonny leave, he agrees to go. On his way out, Sonny grabs Carly and throws her over his shoulder, carries her to the limo and tosses her into the back seat, then locks the doors. A trapped, helpless Carly snarls and rages at him while Sonny (with a satisfied grin-that brings his boyish dimples out) joins Max in the front seat and orders him to drive on as planned.

After being escorted to their suite on his Caribbean island, Carly thanks the bellman and gives him a tip. Sonny intercepts it and finds it contains a note claiming she has been kidnapped. Sonny tells her that she isn’t going anywhere and reminds her that he owns the island. He goes out on the terrace and tries to get her to join him by talking up the view. Carly locks the door and yells nasty things at him. When she gets no response, she pulls the curtain back only to find that Sonny isn’t there. The front door busts open and in strides Sonny. He starts to talk about all the memories the room holds for them and thinks that they should forgive and forget and start working on a baby ASAP. Sonny tells Carly that she means everything to him. When Carly replies that he no longer means anything to her Sonny dares her to prove it. He asks her to agree to whatever he wants for the next 24 hours. If in that time he can’t change her mind she will be free to leave and he will abide by her wish to be left alone. Carly accepts the challenge but only to prove she doesn’t care anymore or so she claims. Later, Sonny has provided a candlelight dinner and they are both dressed to the nines (he looks especially yummy!!). He insists on placing her wedding rings back on her finger.

During dinner, Carly puts on a display of her best ‘worst behavior’, which includes smacking gum and sticking it on the table, tucking her napkin into the top of her dress, spitting out the lobster and demanding burgers, beer and chips. When Sonny makes her dance with him, Carly grabs a breadstick, noisily eats it while dancing and wipes her face on the shoulder of his white dinner jacket. Sonny, who has taken all of her antics in stride, retaliates by nuzzling her neck. Carly tries to pull away but Sonny reminds her that she agreed to do what ever he wanted. Carly makes a show of lying down on the sofa and invites Sonny to have his way with her. Giving a yawn and closing her eyes she tells him to wake her when he’s done. Sonny ignores her comments and tries to kiss and cuddle her but Carly fakes sleep (and does a pretty good job of being limp). Sonny caresses her neck and upper chest with a piece of ice and finally gets a response from Carly. She starts to kiss and caress him. When it is clear that Carly is now a willing participant, Sonny gets up and walks away. Carly can only look on in gaping disbelief and finally screams in frustration. Sonny says he’s given up, he admits defeat. Carly says that is a first. He is going swimming and pulls out a tiny bikini for her. She has to do what he says. When she heads to change in another room, he demands she stay there and change in front of him. She says fine but enjoy it because it's the last time he will every see her, he smiles at this declaration as he doesn't believe her for a second.

Later, they come back from swimming and Sonny wants Carly to dry him off. She does it really fast then he tells her to turn around and he starts to dry her off and kisses her neck. The tease back and forth and he starts kissing her neck again while she enjoys it. They start kissing hot and heavy and end up on the couch. She finally starts to give in and as they move to the couch, she stops herself. She pushes him off and tells him she can't do this anymore, she can’t keep repeating the same mistakes. She admits she loves him but that he can't give her what she needs. He insists he will always give her anything she wants. Just say what she wants and he swears to God it's hers. She says she wants all of him but he can't give it. She says she's not blaming him it's just how he is. No matter how good his intentions are he shuts the door to her over and over. It was for a year last time and she begged and pleaded for him to let her in but he wouldn't but all Alexis' had to do was ask. Sonny does admit that he wasn’t sure what he was going to do when he left to go find out about Alexis’ baby, but then he realized that he was going to come back to Carly no matter what. He admits that he wouldn’t leave Carly even if Alexis was carrying his baby. It wouldn’t matter, he claims. He says he doesn't love Alexis, he loves Carly and wants to be with her. She says responsibility comes first for him and that if Alexis was pregnant with his child, he would have left her. He says no but Carly doesn't believe him. He says he'd never leave her. Carly admits that she knew Alexis was pregnant awhile ago, and she kept it from him out of fear the baby was his. He gets angry. But she demands that he accept her even though she lies. They finally reconcile and head back to Port Charles.

Roy meets Alcazar for the first time. He asks him what he expects in return for the money and whether he has a history with Sonny. Alcazar only says that Sonny is standing in the way of something he wants. Sonny and Carly are back in PC, acting like newlyweds. Sonny gives her the key to the penthouse and they part ways. Taggert shows up and arrests Sonny for kidnapping Carly. Jason informs Carly that Sonny has been arrested for kidnaping her. Meanwhile, at the precinct house, Sonny is pleasantly surprised when Alexis steps up to represent her former client once more. Nik is giving Alexis a hard time, and Sonny steps in and informs an astonished Nikolas that Alexis is pregnant.

Roy and Zander's lives are in jeopardy as Sonny gives Jason the order to kill Zander who has betrayed them again. Liz is hiding in Jason's closet (she had snuck into return Jason's jacket that Zander had taken). When Jason opens his closet door, he finds her. Jason and Sonny quiz her as to whether or not Zander asked her to return it. They finally let her go. A rather hurt look is seen on the very private Jason's face. Sonny has approached Roy so he knows that Zander has acted alone on this stolen money and bank deal. He wanted to frame Jason.

Carly and Alexis have a confrontation, Carly is threatening to tell Sonny the truth. She reveals the fact that Sonny said he would choose to remain with her even if the baby is his. Alexis begs her to to keep quiet. After Carly leaves, Alexis is pondering writing Sonny a letter. She tries to pen the heart approach letter, and then the legalistic letter, and neither makes much sense to her. Later, Kristina enters the empty apartment she sees the remnant of an ashy note in the fire place. She reads the note written by Alexis that said "I lied. Ned is not the father of my baby, you are, Sonny." The next day, a dizzy spell has Carly reaching for a home pregnancy test. She and Sonny read the results together and are a bit disappointed to find she is not pregnant. Carly comments that she feels Sonny is also a bit relieved and prods him to tell her what is going on. Sonny admits that a dangerous situation is developing and it might not be the best time to be expanding their family. After Sonny has left the penthouse, Kristina arrives at the PH demanding to speak with Sonny and refusing to leave until she says her piece. Carly tells her to get out. Kristina says the whole mess is Carly’s fault. If Carly hadn’t had a near death experience, then Sonny would have stayed with Alexis, whom she believes he was already falling in love with. Kristina surprises Carly when she reveals that she knows Sonny is the baby’s father.

Alexis is upset and sitting on the docks (with her head in her hands) when Sonny comes upon her. Alexis stands up too quickly and has a dizzy spell. A concerned Sonny asks what is wrong, but Alexis will only admit that she is rushed. Sonny cautions her to stop pushing herself and take the time to take better care of herself. He reveals to her that he still thinks of the baby he and Carly lost. He also tells her he believes he could have changed the outcome if only he had done something different that day to stop Carly from going to the Quartermaine's house.

Roy realizes that Alcazar is after Sonny and tells him that he will not do the dirty work for him. Roy tells Alcazar that he doesn’t think they will be able to work together and suggests they end the partnership with no hard feelings. Alcazar tells Roy that he is a great partner but an even better enemy and reminds Roy that he can take his new status away just as quickly as he made it happen in the first place. Alcazar tells Roy to forget his newest purchase and go after a casino in New Jersey. Roy refuses because he knows Sonny has interests there. Alcazar gives Roy a phone and informs him that he has an hour to change his mind. After Alcazar leaves, Roy throws the phone against the wall. Out in the hall, Alcazar places a call and instructs the person to “Do it”. An unidentified person enters the coffee warehouse and places an explosive device amongst the coffee sacks. The man turns on a timing device on and one red light starts flashing.

Sonny tells Alexis that he knows she will be an excellent mother and comments that the baby is lucky to have her. Alexis thanks him for his confidence and Sonny starts to leave. Alexis calls him back and tells him that she has something to say to him. Alexis tells Sonny that although she may not want to be a part of his world anymore she does not consider their friendship wasted time. She tells him that he gave her something she will always cherish, a new understanding, and then quickly starts to walk away. Sonny tries to get her to come back and explain what she meant but Alexis just keeps on going. Sonny tells his driver that he needs to stop at the warehouse on his way home. The second light on the timing device in the warehouse now lights up and starts to flash. Sonny arrives at the warehouse closely followed by Liz who tells him she does not want to leave PC. Sonny questions why she is leaving and Liz tells him that Jason ordered Zander to get out of town and she is going with him. Sonny does not reveal to Liz what his real orders were. Liz asks Sonny to give Zander one last chance and promises to keep Zander out of Sonny’s business. Sonny relents and tells Liz he will give Zander one last chance, but if he messes up again Zander will have to deal with the consequences. Sonny tells Liz that the offer is only good if Zander stops working for Roy. Liz thanks Sonny and rushes off to give Zander the news. In another part of the warehouse, the third light on the timing device starts to flash.

Carly tells Kristina that she has known for a long time that Sonny is the father of Alexis’ baby, but is keeping quiet because Alexis wants it that way. Kristina accuses Carly of keeping quiet because Carly knows that if Sonny knew then he would leave her and be with Alexis and the baby. Carly insists that Alexis doesn’t want Sonny to know but Kristina shows her the burnt letter as proof that Alexis does want Sonny to know. Carly tells Kristina to speak to Alexis before doing something that will impact so many lives. Kristina storms out claiming she will find Sonny and tell him about the baby even if it takes her all night. Carly immediately phones Alexis and tells her of Kristina’s plans to seek Sonny out and tell him the truth. Jason enters and overhears that last part of Carly’s conversation and realizes that Carly is keeping something from Sonny.

Meanwhile, Alexis calls someone named Joe and asks him to help her track Kristina down ASAP. Jason chastises Carly for keeping something from Sonny and warns her she is headed for trouble again. Carly getting defensive and tells Jason that although he may not lie outright, he has on occasion kept quiet and lied by omission. Jason tells Carly that he will no longer help her keep things from Sonny. Carly asks what is wrong and Jason admits that he didn’t do something that Sonny told him to do and now dreads having to tell Sonny that he let him down. Jason wonders how Carly can tell lie after lie, especially to Sonny, when they only lead to trouble. Before she can say anything Sonny enters and asks to speak with Jason alone. Jason hesitantly tells Sonny that he ordered Zander to leave town. Sonny confesses that he already knows and explains about his encounter with Liz. He asks why Jason got “creative” with an order but realizes it was for Liz’s sake. Sonny tells Jason that he agreed to let Zander stay and Jason thanks him for his generosity. Sonny comments that he didn’t do it for Liz but for Jason. Sonny asks Jason to never betray him again and comments that if Zander messes up again he will be dealt with. Later, Sonny tells Carly not to go anywhere without a guard. He instructs her that if anything out of the ordinary happens she should call him immediately. Carly asks what is wrong But Sonny can only tell her that he has a feeling something bad is coming and it will get worse before it gets better.

Kristina is seen outside the coffee warehouse. Meanwhile inside, the fourth and final light on the timing device starts to flash. Alexis receives a call from Joe, who tells her that Kristina’s car was seen outside of the coffee warehouse. Alexis thanks him and heads off to intercept her before she does any damage. Roy gets a call from someone who tells him that Felicia is on her way to the warehouse but it is a bad place to be at the moment. A woman enters the warehouse. Meanwhile the lights on the timing device start to flash furiously. Roy arrives outside the warehouse and questions the guard who admits that a woman claiming to have an appointment just entered. Roy rushes to the door and reaches it just as an explosion rocks the building. Roy is sent flying backwards from the force of the blast. A dazed Roy stumbles around and finds Felicia to be all right as she wasn't in the warehouse. Yet, he has seen a woman pinned beneath some debris. It is Kristina who is lying in a pool of blood. Alexis comes in and gets almost hysterical when she sees her sister lying in a bloody, unconscious state. Jason, Zander, and Liz run to the warehouse to help. Kristina is freed and rushed to GH. Then Roy and Jason get into a real shuffle. Jason tells Roy that he is going to pay for putting the bomb here. He tells Zander this too. Roy tells him that he did not set the bomb. A hot headed Zander grabs a gun and points it at Jason. Then he and Jason tangle and the gun goes off accidentally and wounds Liz. It's a flesh wound. Sonny has already been questioned by Scott Baldwin.

At GH, Alexis is distraught waiting for news on Kristina's condition. Carly enters and tries to help Alexis, but Alexis loses it and slaps Carly. Alexis remembers that when she asked Kristina why she was in the warehouse, Kristina said "Carly". Alexis doubles over with stomach pain, and Carly reaches for her. Sonny enters at that moment and catches her before she falls. They call for help.

Alcazar admits to Roy he set the bomb and lured Felicia to the warehouse in an effort to show Roy that he can get to her anytime he wants. Roy still balks at following his orders and Alcazar tells Roy that he will arrange for the detonator to be found in Roy’s possession, and Roy could be charged with murder if Kristina dies, unless he cooperates fully from here on out. Sonny is not satisfied with Carly’s spin on the reason Kristina was looking for him and sets out to find Kristina's room and ask her himself. Jason comes across Carly, who confesses that she feels responsible for Kristina’s accident. Jason asks why and Carly confesses that Kristina was at the PH looking for Sonny and she sent Kristina away.

Later, when Kristina is out of surgery, Alexis visits and gives her sister a heartfelt, tearful apology. Kristina tells Alexis she is forgiven. Sonny arrives, apologizes for intruding and asks Kristina why she was at the warehouse. Alexis tries to usher Sonny out, but Sonny insists that whatever Kris had to say to him must have be important or she would not have been at the warehouse. Kristina tells Sonny that she no longer wishes to say anything to him. She dies moments later. Sonny holds a weeping, almost hysterical Alexis as the doctor and nurses try to revive Kristina, but cannot. While Ned is in with Kris, Sonny tells Alexis he will be sure she gets in. A grieving Alexis bitterly lashes out and tells him it is his fault that Kristina is dead and that she wishes he had died in one of the previous attempts on his life. Ned finally pulls her away while Sonny shows no reaction to her words. Later though, Sonny confess to Carly that he feels everything Alexis said is true. Carly does her best to convince him that he is worthy of love and a family.

At Kristina's funeral, a scene is caused when Sonny, Carly, Jason and Roy show up at the service. Ned, Jax and Nik all insist they leave but Sonny refuses to go claiming that Alexis called and personally invited him. The other two echo him. Alexis finally shows up (dressed in red) and thanks everyone for helping her commemorate her sister’s murder. Alexis begins the service by drawing telling everyone that the garden location was chosen because of the abundance of flowers, which Kristina loved. She then invites others to share their memories of Kris. Jax talks about bringing Alexis and Kris together and says every one should be grateful to have known her. Nik points out the irony of how Kristina hoped to change the Cassadine family tradition of revenge, deceit and violence only to be killed by the things she hated. Ned recalls his first meeting with Kris, her passion for rearranging furniture and how she changed him from day one. Alexis takes the podium again and draws everyone’s attention to fact that she is now wearing both pieces of the necklace she and Kristina got from their mother. She tells everyone that she is wearing red to express the rage she feels at Kris untimely death. She then tells everyone one that Sonny, Jason and Roy all have Kristina’s blood on their hands. Alexis turns her attention to Roy whom she calls a mobster wannabe that managed to get her sister killed in a matter of weeks.

Next is Jason, Alexis calls him a black sheep and makes him sound as though he where no more than Sonny’s robot. Alexis then asks Sonny if he is proud of Jason, Carly tries to interrupt, but Ned tells her to keep quiet. Alexis then turns her full wrath on Sonny. She comments that she could fall back on family tradition and call for all out revenge, or many be even put a curse on him. Then she notes that it’s not needed because Sonny already brings pain to everyone he touches. She asks if Carly isn’t worried that she won’t wake up one day and reminds everyone that she herself almost died twice because of Sonny. The really harsh blow comes when Alexis names all who have died because of Sonny: his mother, Lily & their baby, Brenda, & Carly’s baby. Alexis says that she thinks Sonny deserves a trophy of outliving everyone and tries to hand him Kristina’s urn. Sonny refuses to take it and the urn falls to the ground, spilling its contents. Alexis is appalled at what she has done and sinks into a sobbing heap at Sonny’s feet. Sonny chastises Ned for not stopping Alexis sooner and says Ned needs to take better care of his unborn baby. Everyone leaves when Nik asks them to this time.

Sonny and Jason approach Roy and Felicia on the docks. Felicia insists on being present when Sonny tells Roy he wants to discuss business. Sonny offers to help stop Roy’s backer in exchange for the person’s name. Roy flat out refuses the offer and he and Felicia take off. Sonny tells Felicia to be extra careful. Alcazar tells Roy that his next move will be against… Jasper Jacks…as we see another shot of Brenda from the back.

Back at the penthouse, a restless Sonny prowls as a storm rages outside. When Carly comes downstairs, Sonny asks if she also had trouble sleeping. Carly says no, she was sleeping just fine until she tried to snuggle up against him and realized he wasn’t there. Sonny tells Carly it’s time for her to go home. Carly agrees that she should go back to the cottage and pack up Michael and their things so that they can return to the PH. Sonny tells Carly that he can’t allow her and Michael to move back into the penthouse just yet. Sonny tells Carly that the violence is escalating and he can’t guarantee their safety. Carly comments that Alexis really did a number on him with her harsh words, but points out that Alexis was grieving and didn’t really mean what she said. Sonny insists that Carly and Michael would be safer at the cottage. Carly brings up the point that everybody knows who she is and the fact that they live separately won’t stop anyone who really wants to come after them. Apparently Carly wins this argument because the next time we see them, Sonny, Carly, Michael and Leticia are walking through the penthouse door loaded down with luggage. Sonny welcomes them home and Michael asks, “How long are we staying this time?” Sonny explains that the plan is for Carly and Michael to live there permanently and be a family with him. Michael says that if they are a family why can’t he call Uncle Sonny daddy? Sonny thinks about what to say for a moment, then tells the boy that Michael can call him anything he wants except Pumpkinhead, Bozo or Big foot. Sonny is very touched when Michael announces that he's going to call him "Daddy" from now on. Later, after they have put Michael to bed, Carly and Sonny snuggle on the couch and Carly smugly informs Sonny that he may now thank her. When Sonny gives her a questioning look, Carly says that he can thank her for being right about moving home and for being his soul mate.

We see a woman’s form lying on a chaise lounge. The camera starts at her bare feet and slowly moves up her nightgown-clad body. Just as it is about to reach her face, she turns over, away from the camera. All we see is the mid length dark hair. (Although we don’t actually get to see her face, we all know whom she is or is supposed to be). Alcazar tells Brenda (shown from the back) that soon this will all be worth their while that he has eliminated most of the obstacles.

Carly, Sonny and Michael are getting ready for Luke & Laura's wedding. Jason shows up and Carly and Michael held upstairs. Then Mac shows up. Mac has news that the bomb was put off by a remote detonator, so it was probably meant as a warning only. Mac tries to get some information out of Sonny, but it doesn’t work. Mac warns him that he won’t be able to keep his family safe. Sonny assures Mac that no one will touch his family and if they try, they’ll be sorry. Just as they are finally ready to leave for the wedding, Carly tells Sonny she got word that the happy couple must have eloped and the wedding is off. There are more visitors, AJ & Mike. Sonny can't believe they are there but they are desperate. They need help finding Courtney. Michael runs downstairs and whines, "Dis man is a wiar! In de park, he said he wuz my daddy, but you awre!" Sonny doesn't know this story about the park but sends Carly and Michael upstairs again so he can deal with Mike & AJ alone.

Sonny starts in about AJ lying and ruining his family, but AJ is desperate. He's not there to fight, he's there to find Courtney. Before Sonny can insult him any further, AJ's cell phone rings and it's Courtney! She's safe! He runs home to be with her. Mike stays behind and yells at his son a little, tells him that perhaps he should stop with the hate and try to forgive. Carly runs down to defend the honor of her husband and remind Mike how AJ has ruined their lives. Mike says he is willing to accept AJ for his daughter’s sake and he isn’t going to stay away from them simply because Sonny says so. After Mike leaves, Sonny reminds Carly how dangerous it is out there and that she can’t keep secrets from him. Jason shows up again. Carly points out that she will keep no secrets from him, but he’s allowed to keep secrets from her. Off she goes, up the stairs. Jason has pictures of Luis Alcazar. Sonny has no idea who this enemy is or why he’s out to get him but says they have to stop Alcazar before he makes his next move.

Brenda listens in (her face still unseen) as Alcazar discusses his plans for Jax. She is seen going through his desk. Alcazar and Roy agree to meet tonight for the exchange of the second part of the map/money transaction. After hanging up, Alcazar looks through his desk. Not finding what he's looking for (1st half of the map), he calls out to someone: "have you been at my desk again? You might have misplaced something very important".

Outside Kelly's, Sonny tells Courtney she shouldn't have to work two jobs. He gives her money with no strings attached. Courtney tells Sonny to stuff his money and asks him to leave her alone. Sonny tries to explain that he's just trying to help but Courtney insists that she and AJ are happy, that she doesn't need the money. Carly shows up at Alexis'. Ned tells her to leave, but Alexis tells him she's the one who called Carly. She asks Ned to leaves. Alexis asks Carly for a copy of Sonny's medical record so that she can have all the information in case something were to happen to her baby. Carly warns Alexis never to hurt her husband again and walks out. Carly knocks at the door and gives Alexis Sonny's medical file with Sonny's name removed. She tells Alexis she didn't do it for her but for Sonny's unborn child. Carly warns Alexis to never hurt Sonny again.

On the Pier, Jason informs Sonny that some deal went well. Sonny tries to figure out what Roy is up to and who is Alcazar and why he is going after him. He knows this is not a power struggle. Sonny explains that if they wait long enough, Roy will get nervous and Alcazar will get impatient. They will find Alcazar's weakness and use it. Alcazar holds Brenda on his lap, soothing her, saying it was only a minor episode and that she needs to come to him if she is upset. Alcazar later pays off Roy. Alcazar is upset as he wants both Jax and Sonny destroyed. He says, "I want to see the look in her eyes when they are finished". Roy gets that there is a woman involved.

Outside Kelly's, Sonny and Jason walk by Roy and Jax sitting together and ask why Jax looks so stressed, "Is Mr. Deluca giving you trouble?" Sonny asks Roy what he's up to and who he's working for. Jax counters saying that maybe Roy is working for Sonny trying to destroy Jax. Sonny tells him to stop hiding behind Brenda's memory and if he wants to come for him to do it. Jax threatens that he might do that once he's finished with Roy. Jax walks away. Sonny asks Roy again who he's working for. Roy walks away. Sonny tells Jason that maybe Jax will lead them to Roy's boss. Sonny and Carly meet while Jason is talking on his cell phone. She goes inside Kelly's. Jason tells Sonny that Benny will try to find a connection between Jax and Roy. Sonny tells Jason the only connection he and Jax ever had was Brenda.

Roy is waiting, presumably for Alcazar. He shows up with briefcase in hand. He asks Roy if he has the other half of the map. Roy tells moneybags that the map is his until he has the cash. Alcazar hands over the money and Roy gives him the map. Roy tells him that he needs to find his sense of gratitude after all, he put the warehouse of business long before Alcazar blew it up and now he stole the map. Alcazar interrupts him and says angrily that he wants Sonny and Jax to pay. He wants them to claw out each other until they are both destroyed. He wants to see the look in “her” eyes when he tells her that they are finished (meaning Sonny and Jax). Roy is just a means to an end, you got it? Yea I get there’s a woman involved, Roy replies. The scene switches to Alcazar’s hotel room where “Brenda” is seen standing in front a mirror (we still don’t see her face) the maid comes in and tells her its time for her medication. “Brenda” takes the pills but doesn’t swallow, she puts them in plant.

Carly gets upset by a picture in the newspaper, which gets Sonny thinking that Carly has a devious plan in the works. Carly explains she is upset that Jax gave her club to Skye and she wants revenge. Sonny offers to buy her another club but Carly declines saying it wouldn’t be the same. Carly wants Sonny to take her out and get her mind off of the subject but Sonny has a meeting. Jason shows up and gives Sonny Roy's message. He offers to bring Roy in forcibly but Sonny is willing to be generous since he is sure Roy will be more cooperative after their meeting. Sonny arrives at the Oasis first but doesn’t notice the huge poster of ‘Daisy’. When Roy does finally arrive, Sonny shows him pictures of some of Alcazar’s previous business associates who have met with mysterious fatal accidents. He assures Roy that he has names and dates to back up his research. ‘Daisy’ takes the stage just as Sonny asks Roy why Alcazar wants to make the business at hand personal. Sonny, whose back is turned to the stage, remains oblivious as ‘Daisy’ bumps and grinds around the pole. Roy tells Sonny that any information he gives will come with a price. Sonny retorts that he's giving Roy a chance to survive. Roy gives a final look at the stage then tells Sonny to enjoy the show before he leaves. Sonny finally turns around and realizes that the dancer is Courtney. Sonny looks up to find Courtney stripping on stage. During the middle of her performance, he walks up onstage, removes his jacket and puts it around her shoulders and walks her off the stage as the crowd "boo's" Sonny loudly. Once offstage and in the dressing room, Sonny asks Courtney how this all started. So she told him afterward begging Sonny not to tell AJ. Sonny finally agreed.

The new bodyguards haul Liz up to Sonny’s PH after they find her waiting for Jason in the parking lot. Carly tells the men it’s okay then advises Liz to do what Jason says if she wants a chance with him. Carly adds that if Liz pushes Jason too far, she will lose him. Liz assures Carly that she doesn't need her advice regarding Jason. Carly predicts that it won’t take long for Liz to get herself or Jason killed. Carly follows Liz out to the elevator and continues to give her unsolicited advice. Neither woman see that Jason is at his own door. Liz steps into the elevator and the doors start to close. Carly steps around the wall with a final chastising remark for Liz then sees Jason. He asks Carly why she's messing in his personal life. Carly teases Jason about his feelings for Liz, throwing in her own comments every once in awhile. Sonny walks in exhausted, interrupting Jason and Carly's conversation. They ask Sonny what's wrong and he tells them about Courtney stripping at the Oasis. Jason and Carly are clearly shocked and Sonny asks Jason to watch over Courtney while she strips at Oasis. Jason immediately agrees. Later Roy met with Alcazar outside Kelly's, and Elizabeth who had been locking up, listened to what they were talking about. Alcazar told Roy that he had something Sonny wants more than anything else.

Carly, Leticia, Michael & a bodyguard are paying for their take out order. Carly gives Courtney some cash and tells her to keep the change. Courtney looks at her surprised, but thanks her. Liz comes in and approaches Carly saying that she needs to get a message to Jason. Carly tells her entourage that she will meet them at the car. Liz starts to explain that she has been looking all over town for Jason and that he is not returning her phone calls and she has something very important that she needs to tell him asks Carly if she will call Jason for her. Calmly and rather nicely, Carly tells Liz that if Jason is not returning her calls its for a good reason and that she should just let it be. Jason doesn’t need her distracting him right now. Liz tells her that is not personal its completely business. Carly asks if she’s been threatened. She replies that she hasn’t but she has information that could save Jason’s life.

Jason is telling Sonny that when he arrived that the Oasis last night, Courtney had already left but he found out that she is working tonight from 10-2. As Sonny is reminding him to remain out of Courtney’s sight, but to be ready if something happens to her, AJ bursts through the door. Angrily AJ tells Sonny that he found his jacket stuffed in their closet. He tells Sonny that he doesn’t care if Courtney is his sister Sonny is not welcome in his house. AJ continues to tell Sonny that he gave him a chance to prove he cared about Courtney by going to him when she was missing but he didn’t care if she was dead or alive that he only want to rip into AJ. They are still in the middle of arguing when Jason answers the phone. Carly relays Liz’s request. Jason asks if Liz is still there and Carly explains that’s she left but will be at their “spot” and he would know what it meant. Jason tells her that if she sees Liz to tell her he will get there as soon as possible and explains that AJ is in the penthouse right now. Courtney’s overhears Carly ask why AJ is there and she runs out of the restaurant saying that she has a family emergency. AJ tells Sonny that Courtney is the best thing that ever happened to him and that they both chose each other over their families, so Sonny should just learn to deal with it. AJ tells Sonny that he doesn’t want Courtney to become a target so order Sonny and his brother to stay away from his wife. Sonny is ready to spill the beans to AJ about his wife’s nighttime gig, but Jason’s steps in and prevents that from happening.

Later, Courtney shows up looking for AJ. Sonny tells her that he left. Courtney can’t believe that Sonny just couldn’t stay out of it and asks if AJ knows that she’s a stripper, she explains that it would kill him if he found out. Sonny replies that he didn’t tell AJ, but that he can make everything disappear if she would just let him. Angrily Courtney tells her brother that she doesn’t want to ask him for anything because she doesn’t want to owe him or want him thinking that he can control her life. Sonny explains that she’s not asking he’s offering. He tells his sister that she just admitted AJ was weak by saying that it would kill him if he found out about her job. Sonny explains to Courtney that he chose this life so he could protect his family and the ones he loves. Angrily, Courtney asks him if he’s ever made sacrifices for someone he loves. Just after Sonny asks her if she truly loves AJ or is just too afraid to admit that she made a mistake, Carly and clan show up. Carly begins to move into the kitchen to give them time together, but Courtney announces that she’s late and has to leave anyway. Sonny explains to Carly why Courtney was there. Carly tells him that one day AJ will cross the line and Courtney will see through his lies. Carly tells the him not to worry and that Courtney will be okay and one day soon she will realize the mistake she made in marrying AJ. After all, not everyone has their own person guardian angel looking after them. Sonny tells Carly that if he wasn’t Courtney’s brother, AJ would not have gone after her. His wife responds by saying that Courtney could have easily told AJ what Coleman was doing to her, but opted to take care of things herself. This is how she wants to handle it. Carly honestly believes that everything will be fine after all, Jason’s watching out for her.

Michael questions Carly when the mother of one of his friends cuts short their play date after learning Carly and Michael have moved back in with Sonny. Carly handles the woman in a mature manner then tries to explain to Michael why people act the way they do around Sonny. When Carly goes upstairs for a phone conversation with the decorator Michael videotapes a loving message on the camera for Sonny. Carly comes downstairs and rushes him out the door to pick up some decorating supplies. Michael puts the camera down but doesn’t turn it off.

At the Port Charles Hotel, Sonny and Jason cornered Alcazar and one of his men as they stepped off the elevator. Sonny asked what Alcazar has that he thinks Sonny wants. Sonny warned Alcazar to get out of town but Alcazar refused to back down. Later, Sonny and Jason are on the docks spying on Alcazar’s yacht and discussing what he has that he thinks Sonny wants so much. Jason sees the ‘woman’ enter the room and speak to Alcazar (but as usual it is only from the back). He passes the binoculars to Sonny but by the time Sonny takes a look the woman is nowhere to be seen. Sonny orders Jason to find out everything he can about Mr. Alcazar and his female friend. Sonny and Jason return to the PH. Sonny sits on the sofa and tells Jason that if Alcazar doesn’t back off he will send the yacht and anyone on it to the bottom of the harbor. Neither man notices the video camera on the coffee table pointed directly at where Sonny is sitting. Carly and Michael returned and the conversation changed. Later, when Carly and Sonny went upstairs, Michael picked up the camera and played back the recording of Sonny threatening Alcazar. Michael asked Carly if people would die if they were on a boat when it sank. Carly told him yes they could drown but thinking he was worried for Sonny assured him that his daddy would be okay. When Carly went upstairs to continue her interior decoration consultation, Michael slipped out the front door. Carly freaked when she came down stairs and couldn’t find Michael. She jumped all over Johnny for leaving his post at the front door to get the mail. She ordered him to get everyone searching for Michael and to locate Sonny and tell him Michael was missing.

Sonny questioned Liz about the conversation she overheard between Roy and Alcazar. Liz couldn’t give Sonny any real answers except that she got the impression that the something Alcazar has that Sonny wants was a person, not a thing. Alcazar questioned the nurse about what the mystery woman wanted to know from Zander about Sonny and Jax. The mystery woman placed a phone call to Sonny’s PH. When a frantic Carly answered, the woman didn’t say anything. Alcazar entered the room and saw her (the mystery woman) on the phone. “Brenda” is listening to a frantic Carly try and find out who is on the phone. When “Brenda” doesn’t respond, Carly thinks that its someone who has Michael and begs with them to give him back saying she will do anything. Alcazar approaches and hangs up the phone. He asks “Brenda” who she’s calling. He tells her that he is not policing her but stopping her from doing something she will regret which is apparently what she asked him to do. He tells “Brenda” that there is no one in Port Charles that she wants to speak to. Alcazar slips out and receives a phone call from his henchman telling him that Zander is still alive and is with Liz at Kelly’s. Alcazar tells him that Zander knows too much. He says that if Zander tells Liz anything and if Liz tells Jason, everything will be over. He orders the man to eliminate them both.

AJ comes across Michael outside of Kelly's. Michael says that he has to stop Sonny from hurting someone. AJ asks him who Sonny’s going to hurt and asks if maybe they can stop him together. Michael calls AJ a liar because he knows AJ thinks Sonny’s bad. AJ tells Michael that he does think Sonny is bad and that he is his father not Sonny. Again, Michael calls him a liar and tells him angrily that Sonny Corinthos is his father. AJ tells him that no matter what Carly and Sonny tell him, he is his father and one day he will be old enough to figure it out for himself. He then thinks aloud that maybe its time Michael learned the truth about Sonny. AJ tells Michael that Carly and Sonny haven’t been honest with him because they don’t want him to remember AJ. He asks Michael if he remembers living with Carly and AJ and going swimming in the lake. Michael tells AJ that Sonny, his father, takes him swimming and orders AJ to leave him alone. AJ agrees and then asks if anyone knows he is down here cause he shouldn’t be out alone. AJ asks Michael if he can take him no. Michael yells no that he has to find his daddy and rushes off with AJ close behind.

Jason and Sonny are on the pier, discussing the blurry photograph of “Brenda”. They try to figure out what it is that Alcazar has that Sonny wants more than anything. Sonny figures it has to be family because he is not an art collector and it’s not about money. He names the people he cares about, Carly, Michael, Jason, Courtney, Mike, but everyone is accounted for. Jason reminds Sonny that there is round the clock surveillance on Alcazar and that Alcazar knows Sonny is watching him. Sonny again asks Jason to find out everything he can about the mystery lady because they might be able to use her to get to Alcazar if she is his weakness.

Later, Michael arrives calling out for Sonny with AJ close behind. Michael tells AJ to leave him alone, but AJ says he just wants to take him home. Michael says no that his daddy will be coming here. AJ decides that they should wait together. He asks Michael why he thinks Sonny would hurt someone, did he hear or see something? Michael tells him that Sonny would never hurt anyone, but AJ tells him that Sonny does hurt people. AJ tries to explain Sonny’s behavior in kids terms to Michael. He compares Sonny to the school bully who likes to take things without asking and that it hurts people and makes them sad, except it doesn’t make Sonny sad. Jason show up and tells Michael that everyone is looking for him and that he’s come to take him home. AJ informs his brother that Michael does not want to go home so Jason should just turn around and let him be with his son. He tells Jason that Michael has questions and he has answers.

Johnny shows up at the penthouse and tells Carly that he’s looked everywhere for Michael but he’s not anywhere in the building. Freaking out Carly can’t understand what good all the security will do if someone can just come in off the street and take her child. Johnny suggests that maybe Michael just wandered away. She tells Johnny about the strange phone call and thinks that they have her son. Sonny comes home and asks Carly how long Michael’s been gone. Carly tells him about two hours and then explains how she had gone upstairs to talk on the phone and when she came down Michael was missing. She tells Sonny about the phone call and tells her husband her fear that someone has stolen Michael. Sonny tells her to calm down and that they will find Michael they just have to first figure out if he left on his own or if someone took him. Carly tells him about Michael's questions about boats and harbors and Sonny comes to the realization that somehow Michael must have overheard him threaten Alcazar to Jason. He quickly begins retracing his steps and they soon discover the hidden video camera. They watch Michael’s video of him telling Sonny how much he loves him.

Carly interrupts the tape and tells Sonny that she took him to the paint store. Sonny continues the tape and they soon overhear Sonny tell Jason that if Alcazar comes after him he will send that boat down into the harbor with everyone in it. Shocked, Carly tells Sonny that they can try to explain it to Michael but he is too young to understand everything. But Sonny assures her that he is not, after all he asked all those questions about boats. Sonny receives a phone call from Jason who tells him that he is at the Pier with Michael. Michael is fine but that AJ is there and claims that Michael doesn’t want to go home. Jason thinks it would be a good idea if the two of them came to get him. Sonny relays the message to Carly and they take off to the Pier.

After calling Sonny and Carly, Jason tries to keep things calm when AJ starts to lose it in front of Michael. AJ tells his brother to go ahead and explain the meaning of fatherhood, this should be good from someone who stole my son. Jason explains to Michael that a father is someone who loves you no matter what, who thinks of you before anyone else. A father protects you, teaches you things and would never, ever use you like you were a thing to be pawned. AJ is angry now and wants Jason to explain to Michael how he stole him from AJ and put him in the hands of a criminal. Michael asks Jason if he stole him. Jason responds by saying that a long time ago, he promised Michael that he would always be loved and protected. AJ demands to know what happened, how is Sonny protecting Michael when he is down here in the middle of the night alone to try and stop him from hurting someone? Angrily AJ tells Jason that he had to know the day would come when Michael would start asking questions. He tells his brother that Jason doesn’t have the guts to tell Michael who Sonny really is. Jason asks Michael if he wants truth. Michael says yes, so Jason tells him that Sonny is the best man that Jason has ever known and that he is the best father. Sonny and Carly show up as AJ is urging Jason to tell Michael what he really does for a living, that him and Sonny are in the business of making people die. After quick hugs and kisses, Michael asks Sonny if he makes people die. Soapnet promo for Brenda's return.

Sonny warns AJ to back off or pay the price. AJ asks Jason what that means but Jason tells AJ he'll find out in due time. Jason accuses AJ of being lower than usual by using Michael to hurt Sonny and Carly. AJ says that he didn't set out to hurt Michael but felt that Michael deserved to know the truth. Jason tells AJ that he just proved he wasn't father material by telling Michael things to complicated for a child his age. AJ screams at Jason that he is Michael's father, not Sonny and not Jason. Sonny asks Jason exactly what AJ said to Michael. Sonny tells Jason about the video tape Michael saw. Jason points out that AJ's plan to make Michael fear Sonny didn't work. Sonny reminds Jason that Courtney is working at the Oasis and sends him off to guard her. Carly tries to get Michael to understand that Sonny's business is complicated. Sonny comes home and says that it's time to tell Michael the truth. When asked, Michael tells Sonny he was on the pier because he didn't want Sonny to hurt anybody. Sonny tells Michael that he's done things he's not proud of. He then explains that he will do what ever he needs has to so he can protect his family and loved ones. Michael appears to understand and accept this explanation. Carly shoos him off to bed and tells Sonny that she knows that it was hard for him. Sonny promises that Michael will never be part of his business and that AJ will pay for hurting Michael. Carly tells Sonny to make sure the slime ball pays for this.

Sonny finds his way back to the docks where he finds AJ and tells him that they are going for a ride. Sonny brings AJ to the Oasis and tells that he needs to see what he has done to Courtney. AJ listens without understanding as “Daisy” is announced. He is completely shocked as he watches the stripper and realizes it is Courtney. Sonny tells Jason to make sure Courtney gets home ok after whatever disaster is going to happen. A very confident Courtney struts her stuff on stage and taunts the clientele (at this point she hasn’t seen AJ starring at her). AJ goes berserk and tells her to get off the stage and come home with him. Coleman gets in AJ’s face and Courtney begs AJ to go. AJ (in a heart wrenching way) pleads/tells her he won’t go without her. Courtney still tells him to leave and Jason drags him out. The crowd cheers.

AJ barges in to Sonny’s place demands to know how long he knew Courtney was stripping. Verbal attacks back and forth, AJ blaming Sonny for letting Courtney degrade herself, Carly declaring that it’s AJ’s fault, AJ telling Carly “You know, you are the one who should be up on that stage stripping, the slut that you are.” Sonny says AJ keeps hurting Courtney, that he fails her as a husband. AJ says he would never hurt her deliberately. Later, Carly comes down the stairs and finds Sonny starring out the window. She tells him she loves him and goes back upstairs. At the Oasis, a drunk AJ enters the closed deserted bar. He throws some bottles around and then sets the stage on fire. He slumps down in the middle of the flames.

Sonny gets a call from one of his people that the club has been burned down. Sonny figures A.J. did it since his m.o. is to seek revenge. Carly tries to reassure him that Courtney will come to her senses once she figures out what a loser A.J. is and if he ends up going to prison for arson, Courtney will not stand by him long and will reach out to her family again. Sonny tells her that she can't be so sure that will happen since Courtney claims she loves A.J. unconditionally and she will never give up on him. Carly goes to see Courtney, who reluctantly confides in Carly about her fears for A.J. She is afraid he'll go out and get drunk and get hurt because of her. Carly ties to convince Courtney that Sonny really cares about her. Courtney unburdens some of her problems on Carly but does not agree that she made a mistake in marrying AJ. Carly asks her if she really wants to spend the rest of her life with AJ. Courtney tells Carly to leave.

On the docks, Sonny asks Jax if he is now in cahoots with Alcazar himself as he has seen him return from visiting the yacht. Jax retorts that everything does not revolve around Sonny and admits that Alcazar has made a move against him too. At Sonny’s prompting, Jax explains about the stolen oil map and Alcazar’s offer to return it, if Jax will leave town permanently. Sonny wonders why Alcazar cares where Jax lives. Jax asks if they are making idle chitchat or if they are working towards combining their resources to go after Alcazar. Sonny calls him “Candy Boy” for letting Alcazar get the best of him. Sonny tells Jax that he won’t team up with him to go after Alcazar.

Carly returns home and tells Sonny that she visited Courtney. Sonny asked if Courtney had realized that AJ was no good for her. Carly, unwilling to tell Sonny that Courtney asked Jason to help AJ, hedges and says that though Courtney didn’t actually say that, she took the first step by admitting that AJ isn’t all that. Sonny says it doesn’t matter because AJ will soon be behind bars. Jason returns and begins to report to Sonny about the night’s events. A phone call distracts him and Carly take the opportunity to tell Jason not to tell Sonny what he did just yet. Jason refuses to lie to Sonny. Carly makes herself scarce and Jason tells Sonny that AJ is not going to jail because he made the arson charge go away by bribing Coleman. Jason tries to explain to Sonny that Courtney asked him to help AJ, but Sonny is enraged by Jason’s actions. Sonny accuses Jason of helping his enemy and (reminding Jason of the unauthorized offer he made to Zander) questions not only Jason’s loyalty, but his ability to do his job too.

Sonny asked Jason why he went against his order to get rid of A.J. by having him arrested for arson. Jason argued that he wanted him to take care of Courtney and that's what Jason did. A.J. is what Courtney wants. They went round and round with Sonny questioning Jason's loyalty. Jason couldn't believe Sonny would question his loyalty. Carly came home and she stopped their arguing. She said A.J. wasn't worth it. After Jason left, Carly and Sonny talked and he told her that Alcazar was after him but he didn't know why. He said Jax was also targeted but he didn't know whether to believe that. Alcazar asked Brenda (shown from behind again) if she was alright. She shook her head. He knew she wanted to go ashore but there was nothing there except people who would hurt her again. She had to trust him, think about their future. She finally spoke, saying, "there is no future." (This is Vanessa's voice).

Carly comes home and Sonny tells her in no uncertain terms that her and Michael are going to the island until this thing with Alcazar is over. Carly tells Sonny she has four words for him “No way in hell.” Carly refuses to leave and Sonny tries to get her to understand why he needs her to leave. He has to protect her and Michael. He tries the “if you love me, prove it” angle but to no avail. Jason shows up and tells Sonny that Zander has remembered something that he needs to hear. Before Sonny leaves, Carly sarcastically asks if he will be rounding up Courtney and Mike as well and shipping them off to the island? Angrily she goes upstairs and leaves Jason and Sonny to tend to business matters.

Zander tells Sonny that he remembers two guys and a woman who claimed to be a friend. He can’t remember a face, only the voice. Sonny tells him that he needs to remember everything so Sonny can take down Alcazar. Zander, who has amnesia, asks Sonny if he did something to him. Sonny is curious as to why he is asking. Zander tells him its because it seems like you don’t like me. Sonny tells Zander that although he has made mistakes and bad choices, he has influential friends who helped him. Yes, he did do something to Sonny, but now he is helping him so if this plays out into Sonny’s favor than all debts are cleared. Out in the hallway, Jason suggests to Sonny that its time he goes on board the yacht to look around. Sonny agrees and tells him that if he finds what Alcazar is hiding, to take it if he can. Inside Jason’s apartment, Zander is scoffing at Sonny’s behavior. He tells Liz that he doesn’t trust either Jason or Sonny and thinks he would be better off on his own. Will you go with me? He asks her.

Carly and Sonny continue to argue about her leaving. While she admits that it would safer for Michael to be on the island, she will not leave Sonny. It may not be safe for her but its not safe for him either. He has no right to decide how she will risk her life. She is an adult and can make her own decisions. Alcazar is on the phone to someone telling them to forget about Jax. Sonny is more of a threat. The nurse comes in and tells him that “Brenda” has disappeared.

Michael is asking Sonny why he can’t come with them to the island and wishes that his dad didn’t have to work so much. Sonny tells his son that he works so much for two reasons, to make sure his family has everything the want or need and to make sure that when Michael is older he won’t have to work like him. Michael starts to ask more questions but Carly tells him that sometimes they have to trust that dad knows what’s best and that even though they might not like it or understand it they have to do what he wants. Johnny comes in takes Michael to the car. Sonny tells Carly that he will take care of this and will come and get her and Michael and bring them home. Sonny comes home and sits in the dark for a few minutes. Carly comes down the stairs and Sonny can’t understand why she’s not on the plane. He watched her get on. She says she did but only to tell Michael why she couldn’t go with them. She tells Sonny that she will not leave him alone to deal with this. When this is over, they will go and bring Michael home. Sonny calls out and asks who’s there.

Jason sneaks aboard the yacht and in seconds finds Alcazar’s office. He begins searching through drawers, but hears someone coming in. He hides and listens as Alcazar makes a phone call and explains that “Brenda” is missing, she has ID but no money and has not yet contacted anyone. He orders another search of the yacht in case she is still aboard. Alcazar comes back and is informed that “Brenda” was hiding below deck but that she is now locked in his cabin. They rush off to hide her passport in his safe. Jason emerges and goes directly to the cabin. He tries to get in, but Brenda rushes to intercept and blocks the door. Jason tells her to back away from the door and that he is there to help her. The camera fades up and we finally see Vanessa as Brenda as she whispers Jason’s name!

Carly and Sonny continue to "discuss" her refusal to leave town for her own safety. Sonny threatens to fire Johnny but Carly defends him by saying it was her choice. Sonny tries to explain that things are coming to a head with Alcazar and he needed to know that she and Michael were both safe. In the end, Carly's argument that she vowed to be by Sonny's side for better or worse convinces Sonny to give up the fight. A phone call comes in telling Sonny that Jason has failed to report on time. Carly's inquires why Sonny doesn't just call him and Sonny explains that if Jason isn't already in trouble, a call would definitely put him in danger. Carly then suggests that they throw Alcazar off guard by doing something totally unexpected. Sonny thinks it's a good idea and asks if she wants to go out on the town. She responds, "Absolutely!"

Back on the yacht, Jason tells Brenda through the door that if she wants to get away that this is her chance that he works for Sonny Corinthos. Jason opens a door and finds the nurse behind the door. Thinking she is the mystery woman he asks her why Alcazar is holding her and asks what is her name? At that moment, Alcazar enters the room and says, "Its nice to see you again. I've been looking forward to killing you!" Previews from the next GH is shown and credits roll.
