Time In A Bottle DVD #1 March 5 -19, 2001 March 5 - Lucy and Kevin spend the night together. Karen phones from Tennessee to check in on Frank and is pleased when he confides that she's been on his mind all evening. Maya secretly slips Morca into Ian and Eve's drinks to help them relive their past and to confirm their belief that they have loved one another throughout eternity. In their shared dream, the couple travels back in time and imagine themselves as an artist and his headstrong model in the Paris of the early 1800's. An irate neighbor complains to Lucy about Sigmund biting his dog but Kevin gets the worst of the argument when the man hauls off and punches him in the nose. Later, Lucy receives her divorce papers from Scott and admits to Kevin how much she regrets the way she's messed up her life for so long. Karen and Frank steam up the phone lines during a late night chat. Maya's husband warns her that she gave their guests too strong a dose of morca. Frank is puzzled when "Nellie" suddenly springs to life. March 6 - Arianna received a visit from the INS agent and covered when the woman questioned her as to Ian's whereabouts. Arianna claimed to know where Ian was and assured the agent that she and Ian were happily married and that he would be home soon. Nurse Kim Chris's spy and Estelle's nurse had given Chris an update on Livvie. She had pilfered a letter that Livvie had written. When Chris read it, he smiled and called a friend of his, the dean of the Port Charles medical school. He arranged to bring Livvie to the school and thanked his friend for the favor. Livvie went to the Alison's and Jamal's garage to see if she had left the letter there and she ran into Jack instead. Jack contended that she hadn't just been looking for a letter, she had also been looking for him. Frustrated by his taunts, Livvie slapped him, then pulled him into a long hot kiss. In Paris, Eve and Ian basked in their love for each other. Eve decided to leave her husband to be with Ian, but before she could, her husband walked in. Eve said she would go with him, but told Ian that she would always love him. Her husband declared the duo would never be together and he shot at them. Eve jumped in front of Ian and took the bullet for him. As she died in his arms, Ian vowed never to leave her. In the present time, Eve woke up, but Ian didn't. Maya believed that whatever Ian was experiencing in the past was keeping him there. She told Eve that there was a possibility Ian would never awaken, and Eve yelled trying to wake up Ian, But it was no use. Ian was still unconscious. March 7 - On the island, Maya tells an anxious Eve that wherever Ian is something powerful is holding him there. Meanwhile, in long-ago Paris, a grieving artist cradles the lifeless body of the woman he loves. Livvie haughtily informs Jack that his kiss meant absolutely nothing to her. Frank attaches a new monitor to "Nellie" in hopes of getting her hard drive humming. Arianna arrives and asks permission to redecorate the Scanlons' basement apartment in order to make the INS believe her story. Jack calls Livvie's bluff after catching her peeking at him through the window of the bike shop. Frank suggests to Arianna that she might want to make a fresh start in a home of her own. Eve tearfully begs Ian to come back, then is elated when her lover finally opens his eyes and smiles at her. Frank gives Arianna the keys to his old loft and invites her to make herself at home. Slyly employing his inside information, Chris scores points with Livvie by submitting her name to the pre-med program at PCU. As his guests prepare to March 7- On the island, Maya tells an anxious Eve that wherever Ian is something powerful is holding him there. Meanwhile, in long-ago Paris, a grieving artist cradles the lifeless body of the woman he loves. Eve tearfully begs Ian to come back, then is elated when her lover finally opens his eyes and smiles at her. They rejoiced that they were both alive and well and deeply in love. Though Maya initially believed that all was well for the couple, the chief had a vision that left him shaken. He told Ian and Eve that he believed their future together was in jeopardy. A confident Ian and Eve assured the chief that nothing would ever tear them apart again. Frank attaches a new monitor to "Nellie" in hopes of getting her hard drive humming. Arianna arrives and asks permission to redecorate the Scanlons' basement apartment in order to make the INS believe her story. Frank, uncomfortable with the idea, suggests to Arianna that she might want to make a fresh start in a home of her own. Frank gives Arianna the keys to his old loft and invites her to make herself at home. A thrilled Arianna rushed to the loft and vowed to make it a home for her and Ian. Livvie haughtily informs Jack that his kiss meant absolutely nothing to her. Outside, she was clearly affected though she kept up the pretense when Jack followed her. Jack calls Livvie's bluff after catching her peeking at him through the window of the bike shop. He wanted her to admit that she had feelings for him, but Livvie denied him. She met Chris at the Recovery Room and was stunned when Jack showed up and bragged about their kiss. When Jack left, Chris told Livvie that he had submitted her name to the PC medical school. Livvie was overwhelmed by his belief in her and hugged him tightly. Slyly employing his inside information, Chris scores points with Livvie by submitting her name to the pre-med program at PCU.March 8- Amanda comes to the bike shop with a peace offering for her wary granddaughter. Gabriela drops by the loft to deliver a belated wedding gift from the nurses and is surprised to find that an excited Arianna has already decorated the entire place with an eye to pleasing her man. Meanwhile, as they return to Port Charles, Ian reassures Eve that he'll soon have Arianna safely relocated in another town, leaving the way clear for the two of them to be together forever. Amanda invites Alison and Jamal to move into separate rooms in the west wing of her mansion. Irked with her granny's obvious attempt to manipulate her yet again, Alison angrily reminds Amanda that she will not allow anyone to run her life. Gabriela cautions a bristling Arianna to remember that her marriage is on paper only. Eve and Ian hastily invent a cover story when the INS agent again appears at the Scanlons' basement apartment with more questions about the Thornhearts' union. Later, Eve suggests to Ian that they keep his wife in the dark about their time together on the island. Tipped off by Joe, Ian heads to the loft to speak with Arianna and is startled when she greets him wearing a filmy negligee. March 9 - Tinkering again with the old computer, Frank is surprised to see a melancholy message appear on "Nellie's" monitor. Gabriela chides Joe for not warning her that Ian had the hots for Eve. Meanwhile, at the loft, Arianna explains to her husband why she changed their address during his absence. Eve inadvertently blurts out to Kevin the truth about Ian's marriage of convenience. Revealing how Ian saved her life on the island, Eve assures a wary Kevin that she's truly happy with her new man. Arianna can barely hide her disappointment when Ian pronounces their latest living arrangement the perfect cover for the INS. Joe advises Gaby to stop meddling in the triangle which is beginning to form around Ian and the two women in his life. Frank receives a sultry answer to his e-mail, then is puzzled when Karen tells him she never sent or received any messages. Kevin is slashed by the agitated wife of one of his patients. Eve's unscheduled arrival at the loft makes for an awkward moment. March 12 - At the bike shop, Jack finds himself smack dab in the middle of a lover's quarrel as Alison grouses at Jamal about his talk with her grandmother. Frank tries to determine who's been sending him messages via "Nellie". Arianna is annoyed to learn that Eve is back in Port Charles to stay. Though Jamal urges her to give Amanda a chance, Alison reminds him that her granny is a slippery character who will stop at nothing to pry them apart. Arianna angrily takes her husband to task for not letting her know how the INS agent spotted him with Eve in the basement apartment. Later, out of Ian's earshot, Arianna demands that Eve reveal her true agenda. Karen suggests to Frank that someone with a major crush has been sending him those cryptic e-mails. Jack advises Alison and Jamal not to let their petty squabbles ruin a fabulous relationship. Fed up with Eve's excuses, Arianna screeches at her rival to leave her and Ian alone from now on. Alison smells a familiar rat after a city building inspector threatens to close down Jamal's shop for code violations. Eve warns Ian that his wife has fallen in love with him. March 13 - With just 48 hours to fix the building code violations, Alison, Jack and Jamal scramble to get the bike shop up to speed. Though Ian scoffs at her concerns, Eve insists that Arianna's main fear is not deportation by the INS but losing the man she loves to another woman. Though Alison decides to expose Amanda's misdeeds by taking a certain audio tape to the media, Jamal firmly vetoes her idea. Kevin explains to Lucy why he missed their dinner date and how his hand was cut by the irate wife of a patient. Later, Lucy applauds her lover's choice when Kevin reveals how he's agreed to head up a kind of "psychiatric SWAT team" for the police department. Ian tells Eve he's working on a way to give his wife a new identity to keep her safe in some town far from Port Charles. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Arianna weeps alone on the docks. Jack is forced to referee another spat between Alison and Jamal. Gaby cautions Ian that Arianna has developed some genuine feelings for him which go way beyond play-acting for the Immigration service. Approached by a stranger, Arianna becomes completely hysterical and begins flailing her arms at the startled man. March 14 - Eve heads to the lighthouse to seek help from her estranged husband and is peeved when a half-dressed Lucy answers the door. Ian rushes to the hospital upon learning that his wife has been admitted. Explaining how Arianna attacked a fisherman on the docks, Kevin icily suggests to Ian that his track record with women seems to be getting even worse. Grateful for the way Jack played Cupid for herself and Jamal, Alison urges Livvie to give her former boyfriend a second chance. At the Recovery Room, Chris taunts a fuming Frank about his renewed interest in his brother's old flame. Later, as Chris starts to coach her for her med school interview, Livvie finds herself daydreaming about Jack instead of listening to her self-appointed mentor. Alison begins to lose hope that Jamal will ever be able to open the bike shop. Chris intercepts a call from Karen and deliberately neglects to let Frank know about her plans to come home early. Lucy offers a sympathetic shoulder to a tearful Eve. Following an aborted attempt to counsel a traumatized Arianna, Kevin warns Ian that his wife is in serious trouble. March 15 - Karen returns home from Memphis and tells Eve she's especially eager to hook up with Frank. Meanwhile, Frank continues to receive peculiar messages via "Nellie". Arianna shakily explains to Ian how devastating an effect the rape had on her entire life. Eve confides to Karen her fear that Ian's wife will never release her hold on him. After Ian gently encourages her to open up, a sobbing Arianna finally reveals how one of her brother's friends brutalized her. Later, as Ian's kind and soothing words give Arianna comfort, her love for him intensifies. Though deeply troubled by the chief's parting words, Eve clings to a desperate hope that she and Ian will find a way to overcome all obstacles to their love. Karen hurries to the Scanlons' garage and is disappointed to find Nellie all alone. March 16 - Unaware that Karen has returned ahead of schedule, Frank brings his date back to the garage to meet "Nellie". With a midnight deadline looming, Jack, Jamal and Alison work feverishly to whittle down the long list of code violations. As Livvie arrives to lend a hand, Alison sprains her ankle and reluctantly agrees to let Jamal take her to the ER. Ian phones Eve at the hospital to assure her how much he yearns to be with her. Entering the garage alone, Frank smothers Karen with kisses. Afterwards, he explains how he asked one of his waitresses out but couldn't follow through because he realized that Karen was the only woman he wanted. Ian tells Eve how traumatized his wife became after she disclosed details of the rape. A computer specialist arrives to take a look at "Nellie" and archly informs Frank that it's impossible for him to be receiving e-mail messages on such an old machine. When Arianna gushes about how he is the first man whose touch she craves, Ian gently reminds his wife that their union is one of convenience alone. March 19 - Returning to the bike shop, Alison and Jamal are delighted to find a whole crew of friends working to bring the place up to code. Frank catches a glimpse of another message on "Nellie's" monitor just before Karen accidentally unplugs the computer. At the ER, Eve treats a woman who slashed her wrists after her husband asked her for a divorce. Meanwhile, Arianna stubbornly repeats to Ian her assertion that she loves him and will never leave him. During a brief break for the work party, Mary passes out glasses of green beer and raises a toast to the luck of the Irish in saving the bike shop from extinction. Troy quietly admits to Eve that his marriage has actually been over for years but he feels too guilty to leave his troubled wife now. Ian reminds Arianna how she knew going into their arranged union that he was already in love with Eve. Refusing to take no for an answer, Arianna insists that they make their marriage work. Joe and Gabriela celebrate upon learning that they've been selected to represent GH at an HIV conference in London. Livvie tells Jack she feels out of control whenever they're together. As Troy reluctantly promises to stay with Stacy, Eve fears that the young couple's case closely mirrors Ian's dilemma. After receiving the nod from the building inspector, Jamal happily prepares for his grand opening. Time
in a Bottle DVD #2 March 20 - April 3, 2001 March 20 - Ian promises a skeptical Eve that they will be together very soon. Lucy grows inquisitive after overhearing Victor making some surreptitious plans at the Recovery Room. Amanda returns to the bike shop to offer a wary Jamal her best wishes on his grand opening. Jack meets an attractive biker chick named Sam. Kevin stops by to dispense some fatherly advice to Livvie, who insists she can't forgive Lucy or Jack for the night they almost spent together. Though Victor warns Lucy not to interfere, she can't resist quizzing Arianna when she bumps into Ian's new bride. Eve tells Ian how she fears he will never be able to leave his emotionally fragile wife. After admitting to Lucy how she and Ian had their first "squabble" on the previous night, Arianna confidently announces that she's certain their marriage will stand the test of time. Later, Arianna is crestfallen to come upon Eve and Ian in a passionate clinch. Livvie sees red after catching an eyeful of Sam on the back of Jack's motorcycle. Arianna corners Eve and orders her to keep away from Ian. March 21 - Frank's growing obsession with "Nellie" drives a large wedge between him and Karen. After bumping into Ian at the Recovery Room, Lucy urges her troubled friend to unburden himself. Meanwhile, Arianna orders Eve to keep her distance from Ian before the INS uncovers proof that the Thornharts' marriage was a ploy to avoid deportation. Undaunted, Eve reminds Arianna that nothing will prevent her from being with the man she loves once the way is clear and the time is right. Kevin visits the bike shop and thanks Alison for being such a good friend to his daughter. Ian informs Lucy that she has nothing to worry about because he and Eve are destined to be together forever. Later, Lucy wheedles out of Ian the story of how he and Eve revisited their past lives. Another message appears on "Nellie's" monitor just as Frank promises Karen he'll toss the old computer into the trash. Dazzled by Ian's tale, Lucy dreams of spiriting Kevin away to the same island to delve into their own eternal romance. Later, Kevin proudly shows Lucy the new motorcycle he just purchased. March 22 - Though Livvie claims she doesn't care about Jack's new motorcycle mama, Alison presses her friend to admit how upset she really is about this latest development. As Sam brings several of her pals down to the bike shop, Jamal is peeved to see Zach saunter back into his life. Eve barges into Chris' place toting the makings for a large pitcher of martinis and cheerfully announces her plans to get blind drunk. At the loft, an INS agent interrogates an annoyed Ian about his island interlude with Dr. Lambert. Chris and Eve raise a toast to the concept of hardening their hearts against falling in love. Though surprised to learn the details of Ian's trip, Arianna pretends she knew all about her husband crossing paths with Eve while she lay ill in the chief's hut. Ian shows the suspicious agent a stack of photos depicting his happy marriage. After the woman leaves, Arianna weeps to realize that Ian needed a cheat sheet to remember the color of his wife's eyes. Jamal warns Jack to keep his distance from sexy Sam and her troublesome friends. Arianna sadly tells Ian she'll let him go and will leave Port Charles. Following several rounds of martinis, Chris suggests to an intoxicated Eve that they go to bed together. March 23 - As Frank prepares to disconnect "Nellie", another message appears from his mystery correspondent. Eager to prove that he hasn't been imagining things, Frank rushes to get Karen but the monitor goes blank the minute she enters the garage. Arianna tells a relieved Ian she's finally ready to let him go and get on with her life in a new town. Chris convinces a drunken Eve to forget about fate and have sex with him instead. Kevin takes Lucy for a spin on his new motorcycle. Returning to the Recovery Room afterwards, Kevin is irked to see Jack getting chummy with Sam. Looking for a sympathetic shoulder, Livvie drops by Chris' place unannounced but he hastily gives her the bum's rush while Eve passes out on the floor. With Frank away for a while, Karen decides to compose a message of her own for "Nellie". Lucy icily suggests to Sam that the notorious hitman known as "Doc" will be very unhappy if he learns that his daughter's boyfriend has been two-timing her. As she sobers up, Eve shudders to realize how close she came to sleeping with Chris. Ben is outraged to learn that he was duped by Ian and Joe. March 26 - Karen reluctantly sent a message through Nellie and was very surprised when she got a response. She found that there was a person on the other side of Nellie only her name was Cookie. Cookie told Karen that she was in high school and that her dad would kill her if he found out that she was using his machine. Joe and Gabriela were about to enjoy their stay in London when Gabriela ran into Ben at the front desk. Ben jumped all over Gabriela when he recognized her from Port Charles while she accused him of being a murderer. Ben dismissed her accusations and showed her the article about Joe in the paper. Since Joe was busy finding fellow speakers to critique his speech, Gabriela pretended that Joe was dead. She told Ben that Joe had been scheduled to speak before his death and that the article was only a mistake on the part of the committee. For the moment, Ben seemed to accept her story and left, but not before threatening Gabriela and telling her to keep quiet about seeing him there. Karen was chatting with Cookie about school when Frank walked in. He was so relieved to find that Karen didn't think he was crazy anymore. Karen explained that she should have trusted him, but that she may have been pushing him away just because everything was going so well and she didn't want to get hurt. Unknown to Karen was that Cookie wore a gold heart necklace very much like the one that she was wearing. In the middle of their conversation, Cookie was interrupted by her father, who angrily told her to stay away from the computer and shut it off. Eve told Ian about her drunken evening with Chris in an effort to explain why she was soaking wet. She left out the part about Chris and her almost sleeping together. Overjoyed that Ian's marriage would be over soon, Ian and Eve were going to stay together, but they decided that it would probably be better if he leave just in case the INS were watching. But, before he could get out the door, they caved and fell onto the bed. It wasn't long before there was a knock on Eve's hotel room door. Being cautious, Ian hid while Eve opened the door. The visitor was a hotel employee delivering a package that evidently came from the island that Eve and Ian had visited. The package was from Mya and contained a statue and a note. The note explained that she had sent the statue of a couple so that it would watch over Eve and Ian's love. Eve was reassured that her and Ian would work out just fine. Eve got ready to leave her hotel room and set the statue on a table near an open window. Shortly after she left, the breeze from the window knocked the statue off of the table separating the two figures in it. Gabriela filled Joe in about her visit with Ben. Joe quickly called Ian to let him know about the encounter with Ben. Then, Joe and Gabriela hurried to get out of the hotel, but hidden behind a newspaper, Ben was watching. March 27 - Lucy and Kevin returned from another wild motorcycle ride. Shortly after, Lucy told Kevin how great it was that Alison had talked him into buying the bike. With the mention of Alison, Kevin's mind shifted towards Livvie. He expressed how concerned he was that Chris was going to hurt her. Immediately, Lucy started to come up with sneaky ideas of how to get Chris away from Livvie. Kevin tried to tell her that they needed to let Livvie do this on her own, but Lucy wasn't listening. From the on call room, Chris called Kim and told her to poke around Livvie's bedroom to see if there was a diary. He said that he was ready to step things up and get into her heart. Just then, Eve walked in. Acknowledging the awkward situation, Eve tried to stop Chris from ridiculing her, thanked him for not taking advantage of her and made him promise not to tell anyone what almost happened. She told him that he was a good guy underneath and that she knew he wouldn't hurt a woman intentionally. Sensing the reference to Livvie, Chris defended himself by explaining that he was taking it slow with Livvie and that he would never hurt her. Alison tried to put her two cents in with Livvie, but Livvie wouldn't listen. She told Alison that she was going to see what was there with Chris, this time for real. Alison did her best to remind Livvie of how she feels around Jack. It seemed that Livvie was trying to make herself care about Chris and Alison told her that wasn't how it should be. Still, Livvie defended Chris because he was the only one who had been there for her since the beginning. Victor and Ian discussed the plans to put Arianna in hiding. Since all of the plans were in order, they broke the news to Arianna that she would be leaving sooner than planned, but left out the part about Ben being a possible threat again. Ben was on a jet on his way to Port Charles with an article in hand about Joe and Gabriela's safe return to Port Charles. Kevin decided that Lucy was right and Chris needed to be dealt with. Kevin even insinuated that they should have someone "get rid" of Chris so that Livvie would be protected. Lucy was surprised at Kevin's reference to violence. Then, with serious face, Kevin was getting excited about the possibility that Livvie would be safe with just one phone call. Lucy was really disturbed now so she started to talk him out of it. Kevin was disappointed and asked if Lucy would prefer he do nothing. Faced with the alternative, Lucy decided nothing was the best choice. With Kevin's smirk, Lucy knew that he had been scamming her in order to prove that the best thing to do was to not interfere in Livvie's life. With her fingers crossed, Lucy agreed that he was right and they should do nothing. Alone with Ian, Arianna demanded to know if her hasty departure had been arranged because he wanted to be with Eve as soon as possible. Standing his ground, Ian still didn't tell her about Ben, but insisted that he was only doing this so that she would be safe as soon as possible. Chris was on the phone with Kim who had found Livvie's diary when Livvie found him still in the on call room. She apologized for the way that she had been treating him. Chris explained that she shouldn't be so worried, but she insisted that she had been terrible to him while he had been nothing but nice. Livvie promised that she would make it up to him and sealed it with a kiss. Alone with Arianna, Alison took the opportunity to welcome Arianna to Port Charles. She stressed how wonderful the people were and what a great place PC would be to raise children. Upset, Arianna quickly got up and told Ian that she was on her way home. Eve followed her out. Outside, Eve reminded Arianna that Ian was doing all of this to protect her. Eve told Arianna that she thought she was a brave woman and wished her a long, happy life. Meanwhile, Ben was landing in Port Charles. March 28 - Frank tells a curious Karen he's had no further contact with "Cookie" since the girl so abruptly cut them off the other day. Cookie's father orders her to stay away from the machine and angrily rips her locket off his daughter's neck as punishment for her disobedience. Kevin and Jack have an awkward encounter at the bike shop. Livvie makes it clear to Chris that she's ready and willing to move their relationship to a more intimate level. Karen shyly confides to Frank how she used to ogle him from the bleachers back when he was a high school jock. Lucy urges an irked Livvie not to even consider having sex with Chris. Later, Lucy fumes to see Chris sneaking another peek into Livvie's private journal. Jack tells Kevin how much he regrets trying to use Livvie to get back at his big brother. Lucy issues a warning to Chris, who merely laughs at her thinly veiled threats. After Chris departs with his date, Lucy sneaks into his office and pockets the diary, then heads to his penthouse to plant some evidence. As Kevin catches Lucy breaking and entering, Chris returns home early with Livvie. March 29 - Frank invites Karen out but playfully refuses to tell her what kind of evening he's planned. Ian explains to a disappointed Arianna why she can't say goodbye to anyone before she disappears. Relieved to hear the end of Gaby's tale about her encounter with Ben in London, Eve thanks her friend for her fast thinking. Meanwhile, Ben slips into General Hospital and quietly ascertains Eve's whereabouts. Kevin and Lucy scramble to find a hiding place as Chris and Livvie return to the penthouse ahead of schedule. Ian cautions Arianna that she cannot take along any memento of their time together. Livvie is thrilled when Chris presents her with two tickets for a romantic trip to Paris. Watching from out on the ledge, an outraged Lucy shows Kevin the entry his daughter made in her journal about her lifelong dream of visiting the most romantic city in the world. Anxious to prevent Livvie from sleeping with her slimy Lothario, Kevin sets off the smoke alarm while Lucy plants the diary in Chris' living room. Frank treats Karen to the dream date she never got to enjoy back in high school. Eve is shaken to find Maya's special gift broken in two. Livvie demands some answers after stumbling over her journal hidden in Chris' desk drawer. March 30 - As a beaming Karen thanks Frank for a wonderful evening, a new and urgent message from Cookie appears on "Nellie's" monitor. Though Chris claims he has no idea how the diary wound up in his apartment, Livvie furiously accuses him of spying on her all along. Ian regretfully forces Arianna to throw away every memento of their time together. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Ben sneaks into the on-call room and prepares to strangle Eve but a timely interruption saves the unwitting doctor from being attacked. Cookie tells a sympathetic Karen and Frank how unhappy her home life has been in recent months and how desperate she is to escape. Guessing that Kim must have been acting as Chris' inside source, Livvie berates her "mentor" for his despicable behavior. After Ian leaves for his shift at the hospital, Arianna decides to retrieve some of their photographs from the trash dumpster. Cookie is revealed to be living in the year 1973. Unable to keep their hands off one another, Eve and Ian slip into a storage closet and begin to make love. Arianna is horrified to find Ben waiting for her in the loft. Episode continued on next dvd. In the here and now, Karen tells Frank she's worried that they've become overly obsessed with their new e-mail correspondent. Back at the loft, Ben corners his terrified sister, who tries frantically to fight him off. Cookie's father slaps her for back talking him. Later, Kevin drops by the loft and is appalled to find Arianna lying in a pool of her own blood. Basking in the afterglow, Eve and Ian happily daydream about building a home together and raising a family. Downstairs, Gaby gasps in horror to see Arianna arrive in the ER with multiple stab wounds. In the ER, Ian and Joe finally manage to get Arianna's heart restarted and the doctors rush their patient up to the operating room. The consul's attache reminds an outraged Kevin that Ben's new status with his country's embassy puts him out of bounds of the American legal system. Determined not to let Ben get away with attempted murder, Kevin invokes a little-used state law and orders the "diplomat" put under observation for 72 hours in GH's psych ward. As Monica takes charge of Arianna's surgery, Ian and Eve anxiously look on from the scrub room. Kicking himself for leaving his wife so vulnerable, a guilt-ridden Ian tells Eve he is to blame for Arianna's injuries. Lucy admits to Livvie how she and Kevin witnessed the humiliating scene at Chris' apartment, then is astonished when the girl thanks her for caring enough to meddle. Karen stumbles over a photo of her Aunt Caroline taken back in 1973. Meanwhile, Frank is stunned when Cookie finally discloses that she lives in Port Charles. Ian informs Eve that it's over. APRIL 9 - Karen confronted her mom about the picture of her Aunt Caroline. She couldn't believe that she had never told her how much alike they looked. Her mother said that Karen was exactly like Caroline in every way, but her death was just too painful for her to discuss. She did reveal that Karen's precious locket once belonged to Caroline. Karen tried to get more out of her, but she needed to leave because she had become so upset. Frank was surprised to learn that Cookie lived in Port Charles. He told her that he could help her better knowing that she lived in the same town. Frank asked Cookie for her phone number so that he could give it to Kevin and she could have someone to talk to. Cookie insisted that she didn't want to tell her problems to anyone but Frank. Frank reminded her that they couldn't be talking anymore and Cookie decided that she would handle things by drinking. Eve couldn't believe that Ian was suggesting that they end their relationship. Ian was insistent that they could not be together with Arianna's blood on their hands, but Eve thought otherwise. Eve told Ian that she felt just as guilty as he, but she didn't think that it was worth ruining three lives over. She tried to get Ian to focus on getting Arianna well and to leave decisions about their future for later and he seemed to agree. While Chris was examining Arianna, Denise asked him about the rumors she had heard of Ben's death. Not knowing that Arianna was awake, Chris confirmed the rumors of Ben's fall and said that he thought that such a quick death was too good for him. Arianna opened her eyes and asked what he meant. Chris told her that her brother was dead and she replied by saying that she would soon join him. Lucy and Serena packed for a big trip into New York City. Lucy was worried about leaving Kevin home alone because he was so upset about everything that had happened with Ben and Arianna. Kevin assured her that he would be fine. While Frank was telling Cookie that drinking wouldn't solve her problems, Karen walked in. Karen was furious to find Frank still using the computer. She changed the subject and told Frank about her aunt, but couldn't hold his attention because he was too distracted by Cookie. Karen became even more angry and decided that since it was her computer she had the right to shut it down. Frank couldn't believe that Karen wanted to stop her from helping Cookie, but before they could finish their argument, she was called to the hospital. Chris interrupted Ian and Eve and filled them in on what had happened in Arianna's room. Ian was absolutely furious with Chris for telling Arianna about Ben in her condition. Chris tried to explain that it was an accident, but Ian was in a world of his own. Ian rushed in to see Arianna who was relieved when he confirmed that she was in no danger anymore. He showed her the scrapbook and told her that she would be able to fill it with as many memories of Port Charles as she wanted. With Eve looking on, Ian promised that he would make sure that Arianna got the life that she deserved. Kevin got a phone call from the hospital asking him to meet Alan Quartermaine and was told that he would know what it was about. Kevin told Lucy that he had to go deal with a patient and wished her and Serena well on their trip. APRIL 10 - Jack and Livvie spend a blissful night making love next to their campfire by the river. Eve suggests to Ian that his wife may be suffering more from the emotional trauma of the attack rather than her actual wounds. Meanwhile, a reporter sneaks into Arianna's room and presses her for details about her brother's demise. As Eve watches in alarm, Ian attacks the intruder and savagely punches him out. Startled to learn that an international incident is brewing, Alan receives notice from the State Department that GH is being sued for Ben's death. Ian asks Colleen to stay with Arianna until he can arrange for 24 hour protection. Watching Ian get worked up time and time again, Eve worries that her lover is teetering on the brink. Alan warns Kevin that he's about to become the focus of a lawsuit brought by the Shapour family. Karen confides to Eve how foolish she feels about the way she overreacted to Frank's obsession with Cookie. Arianna's lab tests reveal that she will die unless she receives a liver transplant. Jack declares his love to Livvie. Unwilling to let Kevin take the fall for Ben's swan song, Ian admits to Alan that he was on the roof when his brother-in-law died. APRIL 11 - Alison walks in on Jack and Livvie making love. Hoping he's not too late, Frank brings Karen a peace offering and is greatly relieved when she reassures him with a kiss. Back at the garage, "Nellie" turns herself back on and displays Cookie's most recent message. Eve explains to Ian why an experimental drug may be his wife's last chance. A beaming Livvie confides to Alison how wonderful things have been between herself and Jack since they resolved their differences. Karen tells Frank how close she feels to her late Aunt Carolyn even though they never met. Karen and Frank decide to visit Carolyn's grave. Ian balks at treating Arianna with a drug protocol which has never been tested on adults. Kneeling by her aunt's tombstone, Karen wishes she could have had the chance to know the woman whose locket she wears. Ian accuses an astonished Eve of secretly hoping that Arianna will not survive. Alison bitterly lashes out at her grandmother, then is horrified when Amanda suddenly collapses at her feet. Drunk and depressed, Cookie sends a farewell message to Frank. Ian tells Eve he's going to remove his wife from the hospital. APRIL 12 - Upset that he wants to take Arianna out of the hospital, Eve tries to convince Ian to listen to her professional opinion. However, the more she argues, the more he resents it and eventually accuses her of wanting Arianna to die. Outraged, she slaps him and then runs to Chris to seek a second opinion. Chris agrees with both Eve and Karen about moving Arianna. Frank returns to the room with the ripped apart computer to throw it away and is shocked to find Nellie has somehow sent him another message. He types on the keyboard and is shocked when Cookie responds. Worried, he asks her to meet him at Kelly's and then runs to tell Karen. Frank shakily reveals to an astounded Karen that he's still receiving messages from Cookie despite the fact that he ripped out all of "Nellie's" innards. Worried about Cookie's drinking, Frank tells Karen he's arranged to meet the girl that night at Kelly's. She tries to convince him to forget about Cookie and when that fails to change his mind, states that she wants nothing to do with him if he meets with what could be a dangerous woman. Eve places a call to Alan. Alison is touched when she checks on Amanda who has suffered a very mild heart attack. She's surprised later to receive a key meant only for her. APRIL 13 - At the bike shop, Alison puzzles over a key and an enigmatic note she received anonymously. Karen tells Frank she's totally creeped out by the fact that he's still communicating with someone through a machine which by all rights shouldn't work at all. An excited Cookie prepares to meet her new friend. In the hospital chapel, Ian prays for guidance as he wonders if he's made the right decision. Frank encourages a reluctant Karen to accompany him to Kelly's so they can both help a young girl in need. Though sympathetic to his colleague's plight, Alan urges Ian to think very carefully before he rejects the idea of using the new drug on his dying wife. Later, Ian surprises Eve when he agrees that the experimental protocol she's been promoting is indeed Arianna's best chance for survival. Alison's mysterious key leads her to a post office box which contains a bag full of cash. After Eve administers the drug, Arianna suddenly goes into convulsions and suffers cardiac arrest. APRIL 16 - Alison smells a familiar rat after finding $25,000 in a post office box. Though Alison balks at the idea of accepting money from her disapproving grandmother, Jack suggests that Amanda's recent heart attack may have softened the old lady up. Ian, Chris and Eve struggle to restore Arianna's vital signs after she goes into cardiac arrest. Jack convinces Alison to keep the cash and lie about it to Jamal. Rhonda is flustered to bump into Karen and Frank at Kelly's. Meanwhile, in the 1973 version of the cafe, Cookie waits impatiently for her new friends to appear. Karen is appalled to realize that her mother has fallen off the wagon yet again. Apologizing for her slip, Rhonda explains how memories of Carolyn made her too melancholy to resist the lure of the bottle. A relieved Ian thanks Eve for her heroic efforts as Arianna finally returns to normal sinus rhythm. Claiming that her newfound wealth came from a savings bond which just matured, Alison tells Jamal she wants to sink all the money into their combination coffee shop-bike repair business. Rhonda tearfully relates for Frank and Karen how her sister died. APRIL 17 - Frank tells Karen how he found Cookie's name carved in the windowsill at Kelly's. Fed up with Frank's phantom friend, Karen rails at him for getting obsessed all over again. Though Eve tearfully blames herself for the deterioration in Arianna's condition, Ian insists she did the right thing in giving his wife the new medication. Using aliases, Lucy and Kevin playfully pretend that they're meeting for the first time at the Port Charles Hotel. After calming down, Karen admits to Frank that her mother's slip has made her terribly fearful about maintaining her own sobriety. Arianna regains consciousness and thanks Eve for saving her life. Later, an unhappy Eve confides to Ian how she can't stop wishing that Arianna had never come to town. Lucy secretly begins arranging for Kevin's divorce. Though Karen advises him to get as far away as possible from her and her many problems, Frank declares that he can't leave because he's falling in love with her. APRIL 18 - Kevin suggests to Lucy that their relationship is running so smoothly because they've finally stopped fighting their mutual attraction. After Kevin leaves, Lucy secretly schedules a breakfast meeting at the Grill with a divorce lawyer. Alison blows all of her newfound wealth in one morning as she purchases equipment for the coffee shop. Ian confides to Karen that he and Eve have ended their relationship. Meanwhile, Kevin bumps into his estranged wife and lends Eve a sympathetic ear. Alison reminds Jack not to tell anyone that the $25,000 came from her grandmother. Karen makes contact with Arianna's father. Jack congratulates a beaming Livvie after she proudly announces that she'll soon be starting the pre-med program at PCU. At the hospital, Amanda is puzzled to hear about Alison's sudden windfall. Alone at the loft, Ian sets up the chessboard for a match with his late sister. Time In A Bottle DVD #4
April 19 - May 3, 2001
APRIL 19 - Thanks to Lucy's bumbling, Eve flies into a tizzy when a divorce lawyer suddenly approaches Kevin. Karen is outraged when Mr. Shapour refuses to let any member of his family be tested as a possible living donor for Arianna. When Granya asks why she's been summoned from beyond the grave, her melancholy brother explains how badly he needed someone to talk to. Concerned about Karen's high stress level, Chris suggests that she look in at the local N.A. meeting but his idea is met with scorn. Ian admits to Granya that he feels responsible for her untimely demise. Urging him to move past his pain, Granya assures Ian she never blamed him for anything that happened to her. Lucy apologizes to an irked Kevin and Eve for interfering in their personal business. Later, however, Eve and her estranged husband sadly agree that the time has indeed come to initiate divorce proceedings. Frank and Cookie resume communications as each accuses the other of standing him or her up at Kelly's. Chris finds himself playing the uncharacteristic role of understanding chum when a distraught Eve returns to the hospital. Cookie tells an astonished Frank that the "current" year is 1973. Feeling strung out by all her problems, Karen contemplates shooting up. APRIL 20 - Alison promises Jack she will come clean with Jamal as soon as the time is right to disclose that her windfall actually came from her grandmother. An exasperated Frank accuses Cookie of messing with him but she stubbornly maintains that he's the one living in the twilight zone. After discovering that the computer isn't even plugged in, Frank begins to wonder if he's losing his mind. Arianna hopes that her sister might be willing to donate part of her liver, then is dejected to learn from Ian how her entire family has refused to lend her any assistance. Eve is alarmed to catch Karen with a needle and syringe in the staff lounge. Victor tells Frank the engraving at Kelly's is probably close to thirty years old. Meanwhile, Cookie confides to a friend named Scott how she seems to be communicating with a man from the future. Assuring Eve she's jumped to the wrong conclusion, Karen reveals that she was merely drawing her own blood for testing on the chance that she could be a donor for Arianna. Kevin tells a relieved Lucy that all is forgiven. Ian encourages Arianna to believe that a fresh start is in front of her with her new family---him. A smirking Zach informs Jamal that the 25 grand Alison spent came from someone who will require prompt repayment. Karen learns that she is a match for Arianna. Frank is stunned to receive proof that Cookie is in fact a voice from the past. APRIL 23 - Stunned to find Cookie's note hidden behind the loose brick in front of Kelly's, Frank wonders if he's losing his grip. Alison, Jack and Livvie raise their cups of latte to toast the grand opening of "Muffins and Mufflers". Meanwhile, Zach shows an enraged Jamal photographic evidence of Alison removing his cash from a post office box. Eve is thrilled when Karen reveals that she is a nearly perfect match for Arianna. Eve's joy is diminished, however, when Karen insists that she cannot be a donor after all. Jamal warns his uninvited guest to keep his distance from Alison but Zach reminds him that payment is now due. Frank relates his amazing story to a friendly bartender. Karen explains to Eve why she fears the drugs administered during and after surgery would refuel her addiction and destroy her life. Jamal furiously accuses Jack of setting Alison up. After the bartender scoffs at his wild tale, Frank realizes what a hard sell Cookie's story will be. Admitting that he messed up big in letting Sam get close, Jack offers to put things right by helping Jamal fight off the threat from Zach. Frank returns to the garage and is astonished to see a message from "Nellie" herself on the computer's screen. APRIL 24 - "Nellie" reminds Frank that he is the only friend Cookie has. Meanwhile, in 1973, Cookie heads back to Kelly's and is taunted by her classmates about her inability to find a date for the big dance. Karen walks into the Scanlons' garage and is astonished to find Frank hollering at the old computer. Eve reluctantly keeps mum as Ian, Chris and Joe argue about the chances of finding Arianna a liver donor in time. Frank's bizarre explanation about communicating with the past only serves to annoy Karen, who angrily assumes that her boyfriend is drunk. Eve and Ian work together to help a woman deliver her newborn son into the world. Karen rails at Frank for falling down on the job just when she needed him most. A miserable Cookie returns home and drowns her sorrows in several bottles of beer. Sitting alone in the hospital chapel, Ian has another conversation with his late sister. Later, Eve enters and tells an elated Ian that she may have found a donor for his wife. APRIL 25 - Lucy tries to make it up to Kevin for her premature phone call to the divorce lawyer but only succeeds in making matters worse. Chris commends Ian on a job well done in bringing their patient's baby safely into the world. Eve presses Karen to set aside her fears and agree to become Arianna's living donor. Sitting vigil beside his wife's bed in the ICU, Ian falls asleep and has a romantic dream about Eve. Karen admits to Frank how selfish and cruel she feels about refusing to save a dying woman. Apologizing for his behavior the night before, Frank asks Karen for another chance to be the kind of man she deserves. Eve kicks herself for getting Ian's hopes up about a possible donor for Arianna. Later, Eve lashes out at Lucy in an irrational rage and blames her nemesis for everything which has transpired in the last few months. After Kevin comes to Lucy's defense, Eve backs off and confesses that she alone is responsible for Arianna's crisis. Ian's dream turns into a nightmare as Eve is torn from him forever. Karen decides to make peace with Frank. Eve grows determined to save Arianna by giving her a piece of her own liver. Frank and Karen make love. APRIL 26 - As a blissfully ignorant Alison happily fusses over her cappuccino machine, Jamal tells Jack he's considering calling the police for help with Zach. Basking in the afterglow, a beaming Karen declares her love to Frank. Chris reluctantly agrees to test Eve as a possible donor for Arianna. Garcia drops into the bike shop to warn Jamal and Jack that he'll be keeping an eye on their little enterprise. Realizing he can't turn to the cops for assistance after all, Jamal decides to entrap Zach by wearing a wire. Livvie begins to feel badly neglected by Jack. In 1973, a depressed Cookie hits the bottle again. Karen reminds Frank that if he is somehow truly communicating with the past he runs the risk of changing the future. Jack promises Livvie he'll make it up to her for being so distracted of late. Ian and Eve argue about her becoming a liver donor. An inebriated Cookie tells Frank how the object of her affections rejected her. Eve is crushed when Chris reveals that she cannot be a donor for Arianna. Frank attempts to dissuade Cookie from going to the dance alone. APRIL 27 - Wearing a wire to entrap Zach, Jamal heads down to the docks for a meeting. Ignoring Frank's warnings, Cookie begins dressing for the dance. When she returns to the computer, however, she finds urgent messages from Frank declaring that she'll ruin her life if she goes through with her plans for the evening. Touched to learn that Eve volunteered to be her donor, Arianna assures her she's ready to face the inevitable. Alison presses Jack to spill whatever secret he and Jamal have been keeping. Jamal tells Zach he will race for him again on the provision that he'll leave Alison alone. Ian attempts to convince his ailing wife that a liver donor will appear in time to save her life, but Arianna insists she's prepared to die. Meanwhile, Karen heads to the hospital to give the Thornharts some good news. Frank finally persuades Cookie to stay home. Chris follows an agitated Eve into a bar and suggests that she cool down instead of drowning her sorrows. Unaware of the far-reaching consequences of his "good deed," Frank breathes a sigh of relief to think that he's saved Cookie from a lifetime of regret. Arianna asks Ian to take her home to die. Chris drops a bombshell on Eve when he informs her that she's pregnant. Frank is stunned to find no trace of Karen and no one who remembers her. APRIL 30 - Following a close call outside the bike shop, an angry Alison accuses Sam of deliberately trying to run her down. Ian promises Arianna they'll go back to the loft together. Stunned by Chris' announcement, Eve wonders how to break the big news to Ian. Baffled when Joe swears he never heard of any Karen Wexler, Frank becomes more perplexed to discover that the photo of his girlfriend has vanished from his wallet. Later, a worried Joe confides to Gabriela his fear that his brother may be losing his grip. Meanwhile, Rhonda takes her "usual" barstool at Jake's. Sam feigns innocence in front of Alison but afterwards warns Jamal that the next time his blonde cookie might not be so lucky. Frank hurries to Karen's apartment and finds a total stranger living there. Eve rushes to tell Ian that she's carrying his child but falters when she learns how he's planning to take his wife home. Frank tracks down an inebriated Rhonda, who insists she has no daughter. Jamal orders Zach to back off Alison or else forget about their deal. Guessing too late that Rhonda was "Cookie" back in 1973, Frank is devastated to realize what his mistake has cost him. May 1 - At Jake's Frank presses Rhonda for details about the night of the school dance. Recalling how she was communicating with some guy on her dad's computer, Rhonda is startled when Frank repeats verbatim the messages they exchanged in 1973. Kevin steels himself for an evening of small talk with Jack while Lucy tries to keep the mood light during their dinner with Livvie and her beau. Summoned by Ian's urgent call, the chief arrives in Port Charles and tells Arianna he feels her life spirit still strong deep within her ailing body. Frank brings Rhonda back to his garage to show her "Nellie" but discovers that the computer has vanished. Desperate to convince a wary Rhonda that he's not crazy, Frank shows her the note she left for him behind the loose brick in front of Kelly's. Astonished to recognize her own handwriting, Rhonda bitterly describes for Frank how his misguided advice all those years ago completely ruined her life. Kevin, Jack and Lucy are amused to learn that Estelle's "imaginary" boyfriend is anything but. Realizing he's destroyed not only Karen but possibly Arianna as well, Frank vows to find a way to put things right. May 2 - Ian continues to make Arianna comfortable, and she tells him how nice it is to be back home. Chris accompanies Eve to her doctor's appointment. Eve introduces herself as "Eve Miller", and Chris pretends to be her husband. Eve admits to Chris that this was not the way she had planned - that she and Ian should be celebrating this day instead of her having to use a false name at an out-of-town doctor. Joe talks to Kevin about his concerns with Frank's behavior and obsession with "Karen Wexler". As they are talking Joe receives a phone call from Rhonda asking him to come and get Frank who has just broken into her house and is ranting about needing to find Karen. Against Rhonda's wishes, Frank goes downstairs and finds the computer in her father's den. The calendar on the wall still reflects April 1973 and the flyer for the high school dance is still on the desk. Frantically, Frank tries to get the computer to work as Kevin comes down to talk to him, trying to get him to leave before Rhonda calls the police. Lucy goes to the loft to take Ian some hospital information and is very surprised when the chief answers the door. From past conversations with Ian, she realizes who he is and tells him how honored she is to meet him and how much she believes in having a soul mate and living in past lives. The chief finds her charming and tells her that they would talk again. As Eve and Chris wait for the test results, they each wonder why events in their lives never have happy endings. Lucy tries to convince Ian that things will work out, and how he is turning his back on his own destiny. Joe calls for help as Rhonda faints on the couch. Kevin tells Frank that he believes him and will help him figure everything out. May 3 - Jamal confides to Jack how crucial it is that he win the evening's race and force Zach to back off. Meanwhile, Alison and Livvie plan a romantic dinner for four. Frank explains to an incredulous Kevin how he accidentally erased Karen from existence. Joe rushes an unconscious Rhonda to the ER, where she's treated for a bad case of alcohol poisoning. Alison is disappointed when Jamal tells her he won't be able to make dinner that night. Later, Jamal privately reminds Jack to stick close to Alison until the debt is repaid. After Kevin promises to keep an open mind, Frank discloses the details of his peculiar connection to the past which radically altered the present. Eve learns that Rhonda may be a medical match for Arianna. Listening to Frank's description of the girl he loved and lost, Kevin makes a sketch of Karen. Alison is startled to learn that the $25,000 windfall didn't come from her grandmother after all. Time in A Bottle DVD #5
May 4 - 18, 2001 May 4 - Kevin spoke to Rhonda to ascertain whether or not there really was a Karen Wexler. Rhonda insisted that Frank was crazy and that she didn't have a daughter. Ian overheard Kevin and asked if there was even the slightest chance that Karen really did exist. Kevin found out from Victor that there were no records anywhere of Karen. Frank ran from everyone because he knew they believed he was crazy. He remained determined to not only find evidence of Karen's life, but to return her to the present time. Ian found him in the park and asked for information about Karen. Frank recounted the whole story again, but Ian didn't believe it. When Frank mentioned something that only Eve, Ian, and Karen could know, Ian realized Frank could be telling the truth. Livvie and Alison commanded Jack to tell them where Jamal was and what was going on. Jack hemmed and hawed and tried not to tell them anything. A customer came in talking about the motorcycle races and Alison figured out that Jamal was racing. They all rushed to the track just as Jamal was crossing the winning line. Alison pulled him away from Zach and Sam and demanded to know why he was racing again. Eve attempted to tell Ian about the baby, but a series of interruptions prevented her from doing so. She finally gave up and made up a story that he believed. Chris chastised her for not telling Ian the truth, but Eve didn't feel that the time was right. She told Chris that whether or not Ian was a part of her life didn't matter. She was prepared to raise and love her child on her own. Chris told her that she didn't have to do that because he was willing to help her. He asked her if she would consider marrying him. May 7 - A steaming Alison angrily confronts Jamal at the motocross track. Eve is caught off guard by a sudden marriage proposal from Chris, who promises he'll be a good father to her unborn child. Ian admits to Frank that he's having a hard time believing his wild tale about accidentally altering the past. When Frank continues to insist that his story is all too true, Ian decides to take him to the chief. Stunned when Jamal explains how Zach set her up, Alison is upset to realize how her blunder almost endangered the man she loves. Though Eve balks at his suggestion, Chris urges her to carefully consider all the advantages of a union with him. After Frank reveals how he tampered with the past, the chief proposes that he travel back through time to put things right. When Zach orders him to race again, Jamal threatens to turn a certain incriminating tape over to the cops unless he backs off. May 8 - Eve fantasized about marrying Chris and raising her child with him. In every fantasy, she was happy and so was Chris, but Ian kept popping up and ruining things. The dreams made her realize that she needed more time to sort out her feelings. She left a message for Chris telling him that she was still thinking about his proposal and was leaving town to do so. Ian was torn between wanting to believe in Frank and not understanding how the situation could be possible. As he drank a dram of whiskey, he had a vision of his sister Granya. Granya advised Ian to have faith in what was in his heart and trust himself. She also told him that there was no shame in wanting Arianna to be saved so that he and Eve could be together. Frank and Ian convinced the chief to give Frank the morca root that would allow him to travel back in time and fix the things he messed up. The chief told Frank that the herb would allow his spirit to travel, but to the outside observer, he would appear to be in a coma-like state. Knowing that his family and Joe in particular would flip out if they saw him like that, Frank decided to take the herb at Ian's house. He went to see his family to tell them that he no longer believed that Karen existed and he was going away to get some much needed rest. Everyone but Lucy and Kevin bought his story. Lucy urged Frank to give her the picture that Kevin drew of Karen, but Frank lied and said he threw it away. Lucy and Kevin privately agreed that they knew Frank wasn't telling the truth. Frank said a special goodbye to Mary and then wrote a letter for Neil in case he didn't return from his travels. May 9 - Kevin spent the entire night in his office trying to recreate the picture of Karen as he assesses the whole situation. He then goes to Frank's house to talk with him. Frank tells Kevin that he is on his way to the airport. Kevin begins to question him about the trip, even asking if he could come along, hoping that Frank would tell him where he was really going. Kevin finally shows Frank the second picture of Karen and Frank was surprised that Kevin could recreate another. He said that he was able because Frank's description was so deep and sincere that it stuck with him. Frank confided that he was going to search for Karen, but didn't tell him how. Kevin wished him luck and made him promise that he would call him first if he needed anything. As Eve prepared to leave town, Chris called to question her trip. She assured him that she was considering his proposal but just needed some time alone to think everything over. She didn't get very far before a flat tire stopped her. She starts to change it herself, but is afraid to take a chance and calls for assistance. On his way to the airport to pick up the herbs for Frank, Ian sees Eve and stops. Surprised that she wasn't changing the tire herself, Ian offers to help her. As he tightens the last bolt, the wrench slips and cuts his hand. Eve takes a look at his hand and they begin to embrace but she quickly pulls away telling him that she had to go. She begs him to come with her and almost slips about the baby. Upset, Eve gets in her car and Ian watches her drive away. Chris finds the perfect, one-of-a-kind engagement ring for Eve! May 10 - Joe cornered Kevin to ask him if he thought that Frank was really stable enough to be alone in Alaska. Kevin assured Joe that Frank would be fine and convinced him to just give his brother time and space. Lucy told Kevin that she found out that Frank had never boarded the plane to Alaska. She was stunned and elated when Kevin revealed that he believed Frank and had encouraged him to look for Karen. Kevin showed Lucy the picture her drew of Karen and Lucy noted that Karen seemed very familiar to her. Sketch in hand, Kevin went to see Rhonda in her hospital room. Eve arrived at the cabin where she and Ian first realized their love for each other. She was determined to use the time to think about Chris's proposal and the life she wanted to make for her baby. Alison and Jamal entered their apartment to find the place ransacked. Jamal and Jack immediately figured out that Zach and his gang had been looking for the tape of Zach's confession. Jamal found the tape and told his friends of his plan to use it against Zach. Alison wanted Jamal to take the tape directly to the police or at least his cousin Dara. Jamal didn't have enough faith that the police would help him, but he agreed to talk to Dara. They listened to the tape to make sure the confession was good enough. Initially, they heard Zach talking, but then music started playing. At the same time that they were listening to the tape, Zach was listening to a copy he made and he smirked when the music played instead of his confession. A weakened Arianna confessed to Ian that she felt her time of death was near. Ian urged her to fight for her life and not give up. He told her that Frank was trying to find someone who was a perfect donor and asked Arianna to try and hold on until Frank returned. As the chief prepared the morca root for Frank, he had a few strong warnings. He told Frank not to tamper with anything other than getting Karen back. He knew that Frank would be tempted to change many other things, but if Frank did this, it could have dire consequences. Frank promised to only make certain that Karen was born and do nothing else. As he took the morca root and focused on Karen, he opened his eyes to find himself in a park. A newspaper on a bench revealed the date as being 1973. Frank had successfully travelled through time. May 11 - As Jamal played the tape that was supposed to have Zach's confession on it, music started playing instead. Livvie realized that she had accidentally taped ch while taping some music. Jamal lamented that he didn't have proof of Zach's corruption. Zach and Sam came to talk to Jamal and gloat that he had nothing on them. He forced Jamal into agreeing to race for him, much to Alison's dismay. Eve settled into the cabin and tried to relax enough to think. When memories of her time with Ian overwhelmed her, she went for a walk in the woods. She got lost and tried not to panic when she heard a strange noise. She discovered that the noise came from a handsome stranger chopping wood. Kevin visited Rhonda in her hospital room to ask her more questions about Frank and Karen. Rhonda refused to talk about it and especially didn't want to talk about the computer. Kevin's suspicions grew when she said the computer had caused her nothing but trouble. Kevin stopped her from leaving the room and the picture she was holding of herself and Carolyn fell to the floor. Kevin picked it up and compared it to the sketch he drew of Karen. He looked up at Rhonda in shock. Frank safely arrived in 1973 and read the paper in the park to get caught up on what was going on. As he sat on the bench, a little boy ran up to him. Frank stared at him in stunned recognition as he realized he was looking at himself as a child. Soon, the boy's mother came to retrieve her son and Frank looked into the eyes of his mother. Mary was pregnant with Joe and obviously didn't recognize Frank, but she was very friendly toward him. He initially asked her to have coffee with him, but he rescinded the offer when she said she was on her way to apply for a job at GH. He was afraid that he might accidentally change something in the future if he detained her. She directed him to the Wexler household and Frank watched as Carolyn, who was the spitting image of Karen, came out of the house. May 14 - Shocked by the drawing Kevin made of her "imaginary" daughter, Rhonda wonders how Frank could have described Carolyn so exactly without ever having met her. Meanwhile, in 1973, Frank trails Carolyn into Kelly's and stares openly at the familiar face. Eve encounters a man chopping wood in the middle of the forest. Introducing himself as Michael, the stranger offers to help Eve find her way back to the Johnson cabin but she nervously insists she'll be fine on her own. Kevin asks Gail to look in on an agitated Rhonda. She asked more about this friend and Rhonda said that she didn't remember very much, he had dark hair and ironically enough, his name was Frank. Frank took flowers to Caroline's grave. He told her how sorry he was that he wasn't able to save her from the accident. He went on to tell her how proud she would have been of Karen, and that Karen is living out many of Carolyn's own hopes and dreams. Jamal assured her that everything would be OK, and she asked him if they could go for a ride before the race. Jamal took Alison out for a great ride. They stopped along the road and Alison told Jamal how wonderful the ride was but needed to do one thing before they headed back. In shock, Jamal asked her why she had done that and Alison told him that there may be a race, but that he was not going to be in it.
