July 16, 1998 - AJ confronts Alan about his drug addiction and they get in to a nasty argument. Alan accuses AJ of being upset because from day one Alan loved Jason more. AJ is only trying to stop Alan before he's responsible for causing the brain damage of someone he loves. AJ calls Alan an addict and Alan hits him, in front of Emily. Jason replies to Jax's threat with his own. If Jax calls in the Feds it will cause trouble for Jax too. Jerry has been stupid in leaving a trail from Carlos back to his personal accounts. Underlying this threat is the fact Jason knows the Jacks family launders money for the Organization. Robin and Brenda are drawn in to the argument as well. Tony reveals to Bobbie that he was watching her picnic with Lucas, Jason and Michael from the bushes. She takes his son to see a dangerous gangster, and he's the one hiding in the bushes. Mr. Murty is talking to Elizabeth about their meeting in the park, but she's taking everything he says for her rape in the park. She becomes more and more upset and pulls the knife out under her desk. When she stands up she's holding it behind her back. Mr. Murty thinks that she's uncomfortable because Liz has a crush on him. Lucky bursts in. Lucky and Liz leave Mr. Murty confused and upset with them. Tony thinks that he and Bobbie should go back to being a family. They've been through a rough time, but it's over now. Bobbie tells him he's only remembering the good, like looking in a photo album. There were bad times too, and there's nothing left to save or go back to. He approaches her with the bat. She's very obviously scared of him. Tony hands her the bat and tells her she can use it against him, it's covered with his fingerprints, but no matter what he'll always be a part of Lucas's life. Emily tends to AJ. Monica returns from London and is quickly brought up to speed. Emily decides to go to Jason's and she and AJ leave. Robin calls Brenda on defending Jax. He's an inside trader, he caused the breakup of Ned & Lois, and is protecting Jerry. How is he so different from Jason, who would do anything to protect Michael? Jax says there's no comparison since he doesn't kill people. Robin separates herself from Jason's business, why can't they separate their friendship from it? Emily comes in, visibly upset. She tells Jason that Alan hit AJ. Monica confronts Alan about his addiction. He won't be returning to the hospital. She called Stefan, who went to the hospital board, and gave Alan a leave of absence. Monica is the new Chief of Staff. Bobbie runs in to Felicia, just back from Texas and on her way to see Mac. Bobbie tells her everybody, including her, thinks Mac and Felicia are perfect for each other. Felicia admits she missed Mac every minute she was gone and did a lot of thinking. The man you want to raise your children, grow old with, that's the man you love and the one you should marry. It's obvious she's talking about Mac. Liz tells Lucky about what went on in the classroom. Lucky wants to go after Mr. Murty, but Liz stops him. He wasn't the one raped and he wasn't the one in the classroom. She has to face him and have him admit to her face that he raped her. It's the only way for it to be over. She can go back and face Mr. Murty again, as long as she knows Lucky's there. Jax apologizes for getting everyone involved in his argument with Jason. Emily comes down and tells Jax and Brenda not to leave on her account. She tells Brenda about her photo shoot and Brenda offers to accompany her to New Orleans, or anywhere else, as long as it's by train. Brenda asks Robin to come over for a girl’s night with popcorn. Alan accuses Monica of sabotaging him. She's always been ambitious and now she’s made it to the top by climbing over his back. Alan says she's never taken care of him. It's always been about her; her cancer, her sexual harassment suit. Monica tells Alan she's there for him now. Alan isn't having it; he won't admit he has a problem. He needs help, he's not an addict and Monica will be giving his job back within a month. There isn't enough limelight to support her ego. Alan leaves and AJ comes back. He was eavesdropping from the terrace, like he and Jason used to do when they were kids. This is different though, because Monica isn't fighting with Alan, she's fighting an addict, and they are cruel. Jason and Emily talk about her trip. Just because modeling isn't something Jason would do doesn't mean he won't support her. Emily tells Jason about Alan and about the accident they had. He promises not to tell any of the Q's. Emily tells Jason how grateful she is that she has somewhere to go. Jason tells her she can always call him or come stay with him. Robin looks on as they hug. Felicia and Mac hug at the police station. They missed each other and need to talk. Mac says he has good news for a change, the Reverend called, the roof collapsed and the wedding is postponed for a week. Just one more week of pretending. It's a cruel thing to do to their friends, but at least Kevin and Lucy will get married. Mac says he has to agree with her, they should have called it off a long time ago, but it will be over soon. Felicia sits silent through all this. Mac is obviously putting up a good front, but Felicia decides she can't tell him she really wants to go through with it. She leaves and they are both obviously upset. Robin asks Jason if he only listened to Jax because of her. He admits he would have otherwise thrown Jax out. Robin tells him that every time he holds back because of her it’s like a small gift and she it. She says the only thing that could hurt her is leaving Jason, and she'll never do that again. She's off to Brenda's and they kiss again and again. Jax comes to the same conclusion with Brenda. Jason would never have put up with him if not for Robin. He's going to hide Jerry's involvement with Carlos and then go after Jason again. He doesn't know that's only the tip of the iceberg. Brenda says she loves him, even when he gets her in a fight with her best friend over something she doesn't care about. Liz tells Lucky she has times when she's fine, not normal because she's never been that, but when she doesn't think about the rape. All of those times have been with Lucky. Lucky tells her all those moments take away from the power Mr. Murty has over her. She just wants to get to the point where it's fine all the time. What will do that for Lucky? He says it's different for him. He doesn't want to forget, he just wants for his parents’ lies not to matter to him anymore. He agrees to go see Laura and let her explain, for Liz. Jax brings Mac home after the bachelor party. Taggart didn't go, Kevin didn't go. Officer Kelly's wife switched videos, and Mac says "I never thought we'd get the party going again after Bambi's Mother died." He says, "I'll be the only groom in history to go to the altar so I can break up with the woman I love." V and Felicia are rewriting the invitations in the interrogation room. V. speculates about the honeymoon. She figures out that Felicia is in love with Mac. Mac says to Jax: "are you saying I should get married at my own wedding? Are you nuts?" He goes home and conks out. Felicia goes over to Mac's to "check out some addresses." They, of course, don't tell each other. Back at the Police station, V. says to someone "If you're looking for Vice, it's across the hall." Jax replies, "No thanks, I've had enough for this evening." V. was following Jerry so was near the party much of the night. They discover that Mac and Felicia love each other. In the Quartermaine living room, Alan and Ned, A.J. and Edward are standing warily around. Monica comes in, wondering why Alan hasn't cracked up years ago. They tell her Emily is in her room, packing. Monica panics and dashes upstairs. Emily tells her about modeling. Monica is dubious, but supportive, if it's something Em really wants. Alan takes the phone and deals with the service person and the lost cell phone. (Ned mutters, "You'd think he was being given a Nobel Peace Prize.") Monica comes down and tells Alan that Emily left the house wearing something different-- a smile -- they argue about modeling. Monica went to Steve Hardy's memorial. Alan goes out onto the patio. Monica talks to Ned and AJ about Emily. She wants to be sure it's tasteful. AJ will travel with Emily. They then go to look for Alan, but they've lost him. Emily is outside of Kelly's and "accidentally" runs into Nik. She gets all sophisticated and tells Nik about her "gig." She tells him she's a "junior if you count the credits." Emily kept almost bursting out into shrieks and giggles, and then remembered she was a "woman of the world." As she left, she tripped on the curb. Nik asks Taggart how the investigation is going. Taggart says, "Clipping the wings of the high and mighty is one of my specialties." Taggart suggests that Nik is getting his uncle involved: just then the phone rings. Taggart tells Nik to stay put, but of course he doesn't. Down at the seedy phone, Alan is harassing people. One of them chokes him. Taggart interrupts this. He's snide to Alan. "Someone reported a whacked out gentleman of the Caucasian persuasion terrorizing the good people of this neighborhood... that wouldn't be you, would it, Doc? Alan claims he's looking for the mugger. Taggart hasn't heard about the mugging, did Alan report it? He's "surprised" he hadn't heard before. Taggart offers to take him to G.H. Alan just wants to go home. Taggart assured him that he will be "hearing from me as soon as I have all my ducks in a row." As Alan staggers off, Taggart mutters. "Quack. Quack. Quack." July 20, 1998 - Felicia is telling Bobbie about the tattoo mix up and how Lucy now has "I Love Mac" on her rear end. They're laughing hysterically. Felicia tells Bobbie she hopes they can come to an understanding about Tony. Bobbie knows Felicia thinks Tony is compassionate, but Tony has changed, so no more Tony speeches. Bobbie wants to talk about Felicia's wedding. Alan is on the phone with his dealer. The dealer is to pose as a doctor from Cincinnati. The dealer wants to know what his motivation is. Alan tells him it's a wad of cash, but the dealer really means what is his motivation as this doctors. Alan yells, "Don't play with me" and hangs up. He takes a drink as Ned comes in. Ned is bitter because he has to monitor the family pill freak. Why is that his job? Monica is denying Alan's drugs addiction to Taggert. He tells her about seeing Alan in the hotel and about the mugging. It would seem to him that Monica ought to already know. Monica wants to know what he wants. Luke apologizes for being late for dinner. Stefan suggests dinner is over but Luke hopes it's not on his account. He suggests this is what Laura wanted. Luke likes to cooperate, he says. Stefan wants another chair. Mrs. Lansberry offers desert, but Luke declines, just wanting to sip on wine. He toasts to the "Post-nukes, radioactive but fully blended family." Jason and Justus are having a drink in a restaurant. Justus is telling Jason about how cooperative Carlos is being. They compliment each other on well done work. Felicia is feeling doubts. Bobbie thinks Felicia and Mac are meant to be and all she's got are the hitters. One day, she says, Felicia will look back at this and laugh. Laura looks very mad. Luke says he's a student of philosophy and that they all deserve a hand for getting together. He encourages Lulu to clap. Laura tells Luke that's enough when he calls Stefan and Nikolas names. He asks for more Crème Brule for Lulu, as she's fond of it. Nikolas wants to know what Luke wants to prove. Luke goes to get himself Cognac and Laura tries to apologize. She thinks it's time to leave and Nikolas protests. Nikolas starts in on Luke when he gets back but Stefan stops him, as it's not the time since Lulu is there. Laura, Lulu and Luke get up to leave. Stefan tells Laura that she and Lulu are welcome anytime, for any length of time. Luke tells Stefan to enjoy his freedom. They leave and Nikolas asks Stefan why Luke hasn't been eliminated yet. Alan doesn't think he's responsible for Ned's poor love life. Ned says Alan doesn't think he's responsible for ANYTHING. Alan and Ned bicker back and forth. Ned wants to know what he gets for keeping the family together? Nothing. Alan says Ned bores him into a coma. Taggert hopes that he and Monica can work something out. He wants to make the city safe. She says if he wants to get to Jason through her he can stop right there. Taggert says maybe it's cool with her if her husband gets arrested. Monica calls him on his blackmail and Taggert says he was just kidding. Taggert just wants Monica on his side. He wants info on Justus. He thinks Monica can help him. Ned thinks Alan is a useless wreck and basically says he's absolutely pathetic. Ned tries to figure out why people are sticking by Alan. He then finishes his drink and Alan gets up from his pretend sleep and goes to look for his dealer. Killing Luke is not the way to his mother's heart, Stefan says. Her heart? Nikolas is confused. Stefan covers by telling him it's for Nikolas. He wants and deserves a mother. Luke will soon have no say because he spits in the face of the Gods. Laura has put Lulu to bed and comes downstairs. Luke thinks it's good that everyone kept their cool at dinner. He takes one look at Laura's face and add "until now." What Luke did was outrageous. Luke doesn't want Laura taking Lulu to "Devil's Island." She's also Nikolas's sister and she refuses to keep them apart. Where does that leave them? Luke thinks it leaves them on the fast track to hell. Monica thinks giving info about Justus will let Taggert get to Jason. Taggert assures her that he doesn't want Jason but Monica says he's lying again. Taggert doesn't want Jason in prison. He still wants her help. Taggert wants Jason to choose a new career. He tells her to take her time thinking about it and leaves. Justus has no regrets working for Jason. He's the best he's seen Jason says. It was a waste of talent working at ELQ. Jason says Justus is respected and could pretty much take over the business. Jason said if he made any sudden moves, Justus would be the first to know. Justus plans on being there for a long time. Jason has to go but Justus stays. He goes to say goodnight to Bobbie and tells him he would go out with Lucas again anytime. Felicia admits she loves Mac, she can't imagine life without him and when she thinks soul mate it's his face she sees. Despite protests, Bobbie tells her there's obviously no problem here. Felicia nods and they laugh together. Jerry comes in and flirts with Felicia. Bobbie and Filly laugh as he flirts. Felicia says she's really busy these days and doesn't really have any time. Jerry offers to buy a bottle of champagne, but Felicia says she has to go. Jerry says Bobbie has no excuse and he'll see her back at the bar in 10 minutes. Felicia tells her Jerry really wants her, but Bobbie denies it. They say goodnight. Bobbie gets champagne and glances at Jerry who's talking to Justus. Jerry wants to know if Justus can take on any other clients and asks him to work for him. He needs a smart lawyer. Justus said it would have to be on a pay as you go basis but he hasn't made up his mind. Let him know, Jerry says. Nikolas says that for once it felt like a normal dinner until Luke arrived. Nikolas thinks it's bad for Lulu to grow up around Luke. Stefan thinks Luke will go soon because Luke is his own worst enemy. Laura won't abandon Nikolas again. She gave birth to him. Luke asks if it reminds her of Stavros or the islands. She tells him to stop but h says he's just trying to put this all together in his mind. Laura had a baby. Luke corrects her by saying "A Cassindine" and she yells "No, it's a baby, my baby" and wants to know if Luke is so limited that he can't understand that. She can't consider Nikolas her enemy. She asks Luke if he has to carry a baby to understand how someone can have your heart. Luke says that Lulu owns his soul, and Laura will not take his soul to Wyndymere. Laura says that's a fair request, but he can't keep them away from Nikolas if they meet at a neutral place. Luke realizes she won't change her mind. She asks if he can live with it and he says the alternative is not attractive. He leaves to get some air and Laura cries. Outside, Luke looks shaken. Taggert threatens Jason by saying "the higher they fly, the harder they fall." Alan's mad his dealer is late. They make the exchange and Dealer leaves. Monica comes in and hears him talking to someone. She asks where Ned is but Alan doesn't know. Alan says he was just talking to himself, he didn't know where she was. He had an epiphany. Monica is his life support. He loves her and she says the same but also says it's not enough to make him better. Maybe not, but it's enough to keep him going. What if he gets arrested she asks. He says he won't. But what if he did? Alan admits he'd hang himself. He couldn't stand one night in the cell. Monica goes to bed and he says he'll be there in a minute. She leaves and he washes down pills with alcohol as she watches. Jerry invites Bobbie up to his room but she says watching him come on to Felicia isn't her idea of foreplay. He asks her questions and she says goodnight. (Questions like: What is your favorite childhood memory, etc.) They share a passionate kiss and she leaves, looking longingly at him as he looks rather pleased with himself. Laura looks worried but flashes back to telling Stefan about her pregnancy in Greece. Stefan is imagining the same thing. Luke smokes his cigar and looks upset at the docks. July 22, 1998 - Mac comes home from Albany to find loads of wedding gifts have been unloaded into his living room. Filly gets there and the two agree they have far too many friends. Conversation moves to the upcoming rehearsal, and devolves into an argument about who's going to be the dumpee vs. dumper. Felicia starts worrying about the realities of what will happen when their scam gets exposed, and tries to give Mac an out. Then, she tries to give him a real "in," and he kind of ignores it, goes to change for the rehearsal. When he comes downstairs, TPTB throw a little trick at us, literally stopping the soap time to give Mac a chance to reveal his exact feelings for Filly without her hearing it. In this time, he asks her to let him have and relish these last 24 hours to pretend the wedding was truly going to happen. Later, in another action stoppage, Filly does the same in reverse; the next 24 hours are spoken of as sheer torture to be gotten through, because of what won't be happening at the end. Back in RT, they get back to nitpicking and express how much fun they'll have individually when the charade is up. Then they both do an action stoppage and, in it, neck a little. Breaking up the mutual fantasy, they leave for the rehearsal. Laura phones Luke at his club and informs him she's accepted an invitation to picnic with Nikolas. Her husband accepts the news stone-faced and tells her to have a good time. Meanwhile, Nik is at the park laying out his spread when Stefan happens along and quizzes him on the picnic basket contents. Goose liver paté, something French I didn't catch, and tube steaks. Anyway, Stefan moves to horn in on the lunch action, under the guise that he should be there to protect the tender young Nik from the evil Spencer influence. Nephew doesn't buy it, and insists Stefan scram, but gets ignored. Nik hits the bulls eye by accusing Stefan of deliberately crashing the picnic to torture Spencer, via the little woman. He only misses Stefan's crush on Laura, and his uncle 'fesses guilty as charged. When Laura arrives, she's not entirely comfortable with Stefan's presence; he sucks up to her via Leslie Lu, and then proceeds to take over the entire affair. When Nik takes Lulu off to the carousel, Stefan takes a moment to remind Laura of Lasha times by handing her a cup of blueberries that she used to pick on the island. He just happened to have them in his coat pocket. They stroll down memory lane for a minute, and Stefan grabs her hand. Laura pulls it back, cautioning about Nik and they go back to watching the kids, nervously complimenting each other on their parenting skills. Alexis heads to Luke's and begs him to put a leash on his wife before Laura kills Stefan's legal case. Mr. Spencer doesn't necessarily see that as a bad thing, but Alexis tries convince him otherwise. Luke counters that it's Stefan himself who's wrecking his case in the Laura dept. Alexis reminds her partner-in-crime she'll do anything to get her bro a not-guilty verdict, and that includes implicating Luke. This brings a reality check and they go back to plotting against Helena. The case: Helena manufactured Stefan's obsession by leaving Laura's stuff all over Wyndemere, in an attempt to drive off KatyBell. Back at the park, Nik and Lulu return to the blanket and Stefan again directs the action and becomes the star of the show, vis the proclamation he's never seen cotton candy before. After a taste he declares, "It melts away to nothing, leaves behind a memory of sweetness.” Luke lurks in the hedges, watching. At the docks, Jason is giving Michael a sort of show and tell of harbor side life. AJ drops in and asks to see the baby, but Jason refuses him and hands BBQ off to Renaldo. The Quartermaine is also there to hassle Jason about the lack of work being done on their dock project, and oh yeah, the subject if Carly is brought up. Jason wrings a towel over his ex-bro's head for using Carly to get to him, and screwing the woman in the process. AJ, apologizes, but says it was business and it will probably happen again, so why not bring the bambino by the mansion for a visit. No dice, Jason says, and brings it around to the fact there's a junkie in the Q house that he refuses to subject the baby to. AJ spins it to ask what danger is Michael in from Jason himself? Again, they fight over the Q's actions to Carly, and the lack of action on the docks. This is supposed to be some kind of juxtaposition, I suppose, but um. Well. AJ tells Jason to watch his back and leaves. JULY 23, 1998 Liz comes up to Lucky at Ruby's. Is he avoiding her? There are things she wants to tell him... he's convinced she hates his song. She loves it. It helps her sleep, and it's so perfect. He offers to walk her home. After Lucky sees his mother he tells Liz it wasn't so good -- in a way because of her. He wanted Liz to be there to help him explain. Liz says he needs her, too, just a little. Luke lurks as Stefan plays with Lulu and cotton candy. He tells some Nik stories. He tells about when he was 2 and not talking. "No, King, that chair is for my cat." Laura reminisces about that chair. Laura is sorry she wasn't there for Nik. Stefan and Nik leave, and Lucky comes by. He has a short talk with Laura. He says the rape "doesn't change who I am, it changes me." At Wyndemere, Nik is looking at Stefan, which is more interesting than translating Cicero. Katherine-the-ghost appears to Stefan and asks why he went to the picnic. July 24, 1998 The Police Commissioner's Wedding...Lucky is counting money. Liz walks over, apologizing for being late, and comments on the cash. "It's a drop in the bucket,” Lucky says. Liz asks him what the cash is for. "It's a secret,” he replies, and then asks what time the wedding starts. The discuss the details and Liz seems less-than-enthused. She's worried about Mac's co-workers being there, staring at her: The Poor Rape Victim. Lucky offers to go with her. Liz looks relieved. Robin wishes Jason would go with her. Jason doesn't think Mac would appreciate his presence. Robin gushes over Jason's sensitivity and vows to make Mac see what a great guy the Gummy Godfather is. Justus has the dirt on Jerry Jax: all that's missing is the Central American connection. Jason says they don't need it; there's already enough to run him out of town. Justus doesn't agree "You can't have too much on a guy,” he says, in a manner totally out of character with the Justus I know, but Jason is satisfied. Jason repeats his promise made to Sonny: that he'd keep Jax out of his family's dirty dealings for Brenda's sake... and anything else is overkill. Again, Justus disagrees. Jason tells him to drop it. Alan is looking pretty bad. He digs for his pills, but finds only empty bottles. AJ got rid of all his hidden stash. Taggert oozes charm and tries to woo Dara into being his date for Mac's wedding by using the kind of flowery words every woman wants to hear (like "please"). He sees the stoolie drug dealer guy and reluctantly leaves Dara to speak with him. "Your timing is terrible,” he says to The Dealer. Mac enters the sanctuary looking pensive. Felicia interrupts his reverie: "It looks like it's the end of the Great Wedding Hoax,” she says. Mac half-heartedly agrees and says it will be a relief to finally have everyone know the truth. They go over their plan: They'll announce that they won't get married and then encourage everyone to stay for Kevin and Lucy's wedding. They share an awkward moment of reflection, which is interrupted by Lucy (followed by V) who's aghast that Mac and Filly are seeing each other on their wedding day. Kevin enters the sanctuary and Lucy shields her eyes, telling him to turn around. He complies. V thinks they're interrupting a private moment between Mac and Felicia. Mac insists that "We've said everything we need to say". Lucy tows Felicia out of the room, averting her eyes away from Kevin. Nik reads through his collection of anonymous letters. Robin walks up and greets him, and Nik gushes over her appearance. They discuss Katherine and then segue into Mac's wedding. Nik asks if Jason's meeting her at the church, and Robin tells him Jason's not coming. Nik agrees to accompany her to the wedding. Alan calls The Dealer (who's still at the PCPD), demanding drugs. The Dealer says he's out... call back tomorrow. Alan threatens him, and the Dealer hangs up. The Dealer asks Taggert why he wants Alan. Taggert says that he's just "chow for the big fish"... bait, leading him to Jason. Finished with the Dealer, Taggert rejoins Dara and they leave for the wedding. Jax walks in, telling Mac that Brenda's not going to attending the ceremony. She's feeling "light-headed" [*snicker* ... too many jokes... must resist and continue with update...], but perhaps her head will be heavier later, and she'll be able to attend the reception.... "if there's going to be one...” he adds. Jax asks if the wedding is on or off. "Off,” replies Mac. Jax urges Mac to tell Felicia how he feels, but Mac thinks Filly doesn't want to get married. Jax thinks Filly's just saying that because that's what she thinks Mac wants to hear... Maxie gives Felicia some ribbons for her bouquet, and Felicia starts to get weepy. Bobbie enters with Lucas and tells her to cheer up, but the waterworks continue. Lucy gushes over Filly and Mac sharing their wedding day. Felicia sobs. Lucy gets a premonition: One of the brides will leave the church in tears.... Jerry and Justus meet clandestinely. Justus tells Jerry he's interested in his offer... Meanwhile, at the Penthouse: The Gummy Godfather is with Michael. Alan appears at his door, really strung out. Nik and Robin arrive. Robin talks to Mac and tells him to relax. Mac bristles at bit at Robin's choice of dates (a Cassadine), but admits he's the lesser of two losers. Nik asks Robin if it's okay that he be there. Robin says Mac is just nervous and didn't mean what he said. Outside the sanctuary, Liz is with Audrey, reluctant to enter. Lucky arrives and she relaxes. Audrey leaves the two of them alone and Liz and Lucky enter the sanctuary together. Lucy's still fretting over her premonition. Filly tells her to relax. Lucy says she can't: it's the most important day of her life, and she doesn't want anything to ruin it. And, as if on cue, Tony walks in. Mac glares. Bobbie stares. Tony assures them he's not there to cause trouble. Felicia says it's okay for him to stay. Mac mutters that he hopes Felicia knows what she's doing. Back at the Back of the Church: Filly looks pensive as Lucy babbles about the ceremony specifics. Suddenly, she realizes she needs "something borrowed". In yet another panic, Lucy insists that she and Felicia exchange shoes. Felicia reluctantly agrees. V leaves to inform Mac and Kevin that things will be a bit delayed as shoes fly across the back door. Justus and Jerry continue their conflab, solidifying their 'deal'. Justus will work for Jerry as long as there's no conflict of interest with Jason. Jerry says he'll breathe a lot easier knowing Justus is on his side.” Let’s get something straight,” Justus says, "whose side I'm on... is my own." "A man after my own heart,” Jerry says, and asks, "What about Morgan?" "What about him?" replies Justus. Alan clumsily tiptoes around his point: He wants drugs. And he wants Jason to get them for him. Jason refuses. Alan begs. Jason tells him to leave. Dara and Taggert chat about what Taggert's up to, but he says he can't tell her yet... it's a surprise. [And the "Must be some bust," Dara remarks, as Taggert phrases his clever reply: "Justice will be served. With a capital J..." Victor tells Kevin he's happy for him. They embrace. Mac asks Kevin how he can be so calm. "I Love Lucy," Kevin replies, "if I had to wait a week up here, it wouldn't matter to me." Kevin asks Mac if there's something on him mind... he seems agitated. "Absolutely not," Mac replies. Ned calls Alexis and says "I miss you," to her answering machine. While Liz is chatting with Bobbie, Audrey tells Lucky how glad she is that he's here for Liz. After Liz leaves Bobbie's side, Jerry sidles himself into the vacant seat in full flirt mode. Mariah arrives, and senses there's something amiss with Felicia. V tells Filly that "there's still time." "Don't even say it," Felicia warns. Scott arrives with Serena. Lucy and they exchange pleasantries. Scott wishes Lucy luck. Maxie and Georgie lead Serena down the aisle. Lucy is still worried. She asks Felicia to go first, and after some prodding, Felicia agrees. Lucy tries to follow, but her dress gets caught in the door and wackiness ensues. She finally frees herself and runs to Kevin's side. There's an awkward pause, as both Mac and Felicia debate wordlessly, but suddenly Mac asks Felicia to marry him.... Port Charles July 24, 1998
Mon. July 27, 1998
- Lucy and Felicia come out of minister's chambers and walk past the guests to
the lobby of the chapel. Lucy tried to put on a brave face for Felicia and Mac's
sake. Felicia feels bad about Lucy being “left at the altar” and offers to
postpone her own wedding. But Lucy tells Felicia that she won't walk out on
them, like Kevin walked out on her, Lucy's going to get them married today.
Felicia tells Lucy not to give up on Kevin and thanks her for her support. They
all walk out into the chapel toward the minister. Jason returns downstairs, after
putting Michael down for a nap, and finds part of the room ransacked - he
discovers money missing, as well as his gun - Alan is gone as well... Alan sees
his dealer and walks up to him, putting the gun to his back. Alan orders his
dealer to give him drugs or he'll kill him... Jason calls Monica to warn her
about Alan, telling her that Alan was there and asked Jason to help him get
drugs. When he told Alan to get out, Alan went berserk and, when Jason went to
put Michael to bed, Alan apparently went through Jason's desk, taking money and
his gun. Monica is very worried, of course. Dealer tries to calm Alan down,
telling him that he's get the drugs for him - he just has to wait for half an
hour. Alan doesn't want to wait, but tells him that if he doesn't return, that
he will come after him. The minister wants to get
started with Mac and Felicia ‘s wedding, but Felicia interrupts him - she
wants to explain it all to their guests - that they weren't going to get married
today at all. Lucy looks at Mac and Felicia in surprise...Felicia tells everyone
all about the James/Tess saga - the kidnapping and fake engagement, etc. She
also tells them that they are thankful to everyone for their support -without it
they never would have realized that they belong together. Felicia goes right
into the vows: I love you, Mac. I always have. You walk into a room, and I feel
safe. You smile at me, and suddenly my world fills with joy. You touch me, and I
know for certain my heart belongs to only you. You're my strength, my wisdom, my
anchor, and my home. And I promise to love and honor you for the rest of my
days. As Felicia is saying her vows,
Liz and Lucky look at each other shyly [his arm around her?]; Robin is smiling;
V is crying her eyes out. Ned offers her his hankie. Then it's Mac's turn: A man
can spend his entire life looking for the one person who makes him whole.
Sometimes that person is right in front of him, and he chooses to look away,
because love that strong, that pure, can be frightening. You're that person for
me, Felicia, and I swear, I'll never look away from our love again. Whatever you
and your children need from me, I'll do my best to provide it. I'll be your
lover, your friend, and your protector. I'll be your body and soul from this
moment on. The minister pronounces them husband and wife. V is still crying...
Mac and Felicia kiss and everyone applauds. Lucy gives Mac and Felicia the
honeymoon in France that she and Kevin were to have. Then Lucy runs off to find
Kevin. Felicia asks Mac how he feels. He replies: “Married.” They kiss some
more. Liz and Lucky are sitting at a
table together, laughing about the strange wedding they just attended. Liz tells
Lucky that she thinks Mac &Felicia's story was the most romantic thing in
the world, even though she didn't really understand it all. Lucky tells her she
is a sucker for “goopy stuff”. She retorts that she is a very edgy cynic!
They are both glad they came to the wedding (together). Amy tells Dara that she must
feel foolish for thinking she ever had anything going with Mac [since he loved
Felicia the whole time]. Dara looks all annoyed and tells Amy “a fling is a
fling - you take whatever you can get, don't you?” Dara walks away, leaving
Amy looking miffed... Jerry remarks that the problem with weddings is that
everyone pretends that they are all about love and commitment, but what everyone
really cares about is what time the bar opens...Bobbie's response: the bar is
open now - he better go check it out! She walks away and he follows her,
smiling... Joe's got his finger in the wedding cake and Karen reprimands him. Karen is still trying to
understand Felicia's explanation - what was that about a kidnapping? imposters?
Joe wonders about what happened with Kevin and Lucy. He invites Karen to his
place for dinner to ponder these and other important questions... V is going on about how
beautiful ‘the Commissioner's' vows were. V offers Ned his hankie back. Ned
tells her to keep it as a memento of the occasion. V sees Jax and Brenda all
lovey-dovey and looks at them - a bit jealous are we? They talk about their
wedding plans. Brenda wants an evening ceremony by candlelight. Jax is willing -
as long as they get married... Mac and Felicia arrive at the reception. Hugs all
around for the Scorpio/Jones family. Maxie asks Mac is she can call him ‘dad'.
He tells her that she has a
father that loves her very much. Maxie decides to call him ‘plain ol' Mac'
from now on. Robin comments that it was “quite a ceremony”. They all agree.
Robin tells Mac that she has never seen him so happy. He tells her he has
Felicia, her, Maxie, Georgie, even Mariah - what more could a man want? Mac
turns to his guests to make an announcement, the Scorpios and the Joneses are a
family, they're going to stick together and take care of each other, and
“we're gonna hug” (words of wisdom from Georgie). Nikolas looks on at Robin
and her family. Alexis and Stefan are
discussing his trial. She tells him that Dara will try to steamroll him into
saying things he doesn't mean; they practice a bit. She asks him what she thinks
Dara will ask about Nikolas' inheritance, his financial situation, how he could
afford such a lavish engagement party and expensive art and wine. Stefan's
reply: “My credit is good -- this IS America.” Alexis asks Stefan to sound a
little less like a “recorded announcement” when talking about Katherine's
death - she feels he should be more emotional. Stefan reminds her that he is
unjustly accused and will be exonerated by a jury. He wonders why she isn't
working harder to prove that Luke was the one responsible. She tells his that
Luke isn't on trial. Stefan thinks that she should be working with the
investigators more, instead of play-acting with him. Alexis then tells Stefan that
he isn't to see Laura under any circumstance - he won't agree to this. Laura is
Nik's mother and he will continue to see her. Alexis is all exasperated...
Alan's dealer returns with the pills. Alan downs a handful, then give the dealer
money out of his pocket. “Is that enough?”, he asks. “That's perfect,”
replies Taggert. Busted! Taggert is pointing a gun at Alan and tells him to
surrender his weapon. Alan is freaked and slowly puts the gun on the ground.
Taggert kicks it away and demands that Alan give him his pills as well. He yells
at Alan to get on his knees and put his hands on his head, then pushes him to
the ground and reads him his rights. Alan just whimpers. Audrey congratulates Mac and
Felicia. Robin tells Nikolas that she's been dreaming since she was a young girl
about Mac and Felicia getting married - that they belong together. Nikolas is
distracted - he admits to Robin that he has information that could incriminate
Stefan in Katherine's murder.... Alexis is angry that Stefan defied her
“orders” about not seeing Laura - that it could really hurt his case. He
tells Alexis about their family outing in the park w/ Nikolas and Lesley Lu.
Alexis fears that Dara will insinuate that Stefan's feeling for Laura were his
motive for killing Katherine. Alexis wonders how Nikolas will profit by gaining
a mother, yet losing his uncle to the state penitentiary. Stefan reluctantly
agrees not to see Laura until the trial is over. Nikolas confides to Robin that
he fears his testimony at Stefan's trial could send his uncle to jail. Mac asks Felicia: “Have you
always been this beautiful or have I been missing something all these years?”
Felicia replies: “You've been missing a lot..” They kiss some more. Ned to
V, as they walk across the room: “Formal etiquette says you have until their
first anniversary to stop.” V to Ned: Have you ever been in love? Ned: A
couple of times.. V: Hopelessly? Ned, "Once". V: Was it requited? Ned, "For a while, but not
long enough." V says, "SUCKS, doesn't it." Jax wonders why V is
so sentimental, all of a sudden...Brenda tells him that weddings bring out
strange things in people.. She whispers in his ear. He really likes the idea -
they say their goodbyes and practically run out the door! Audrey tells Liz that Mr. Murty
called before they left for the wedding and asked if they could have the next
tutorial at their house, instead of at school. Audrey wants to know why she is
taking private tutorials from Mr. Murty.... Garcia toasts the bride and groom,
since the best man (Kevin) isn't there to do it. His toast: “May their married
life be as interesting - as their courtship." Mac and Felicia cut the cake
and then take turns feeding a piece to each other. Felicia shoves the cake into
Mac's mouth; Mac feeds her a piece with a fork, a bit more delicately...Cake for
everyone! Liz and Lucky decide to step outside to get some air. They run into
Nikolas who tries to avoid them. Liz thanks Nikolas for keeping his promise to
her about not telling anyone about her rape. He tells her that it is no one's
business. Lucky is even big enough to tell Nikolas that he could've made things
harder on Liz and he didn't and he tells Nikolas he won't forget it. Nikolas
just nods his head. Lucky takes hold of Liz's hand as they walk outside. Tony congratulates the happy
couple. Maxie hugs her uncle Tony. Jerry asks Lucas about his new baseball gear
and Lucas tells him all about his last baseball game. Tony looks on at Lucas and
Jerry. Tony waves to Lucas, then walks away. Bobbie tells Lucas that it is
probably good that he not see his dad today. Lucas goes off to find Nikolas. Felicia apologizes to Bobbie
about Tony's attendance, after seeing Bobbie's discomfort. Bobbie tells her she
is not angry, just sad. Mac tells Tony that he better
not ruin the day for his wife. Tony's reply: “As if I would.” Tony then
leaves. Alan tries to talk his way out of being arrested - that he is taking
pills for medicinal purposes only, that he is in terrible pain...Taggert just
wants to know - where did Alan get an unregistered gun without a serial
number??? Alan wants to make a deal. Justus walks by and Alan pleads with him to
help him. Taggert tells Justus that Alan was found with a stolen firearm
belonging to Justus' employer. Justus looks over the police report and tells
Alan that the case represents a conflict of interest, then he walks away. Alan
curses at Justus, telling Taggert that he was always out for himself. Alan begs
Taggert not to arrest him and send him to jail - he has a career, a family -
he'll lose everything! Taggert reminds him that he gave Alan every opportunity
to pull himself out - he chose to keep using - his choice, not Taggert's. Felicia rounds up all of the
single ladies as its time to throw the bouquet. Lucky encourages Liz to take
part - she's single, right? and Felicia and the rest of the women call Bobbie to
participate as well. Bobbie tells Felicia that if she catches it , she will
never forgive Felicia. Felicia throws the bouquet ...and Liz catches it, well
actually it sort of lands in her hair...Liz is laughing and Lucky watches her,
smiling. Felicia and Mac thank all of their guests for sharing their day with
them as they head off for their honeymoon in France. Outside of Cafe Matisse,
Mac asks Felicia if she is ready - she tells him she loves him and is ready to
start their life together. They kiss some more. Monica arrives to fetch Alan,
who is in handcuffs now. Taggert asks Monica if she has considered his earlier
offer [Alan avoids jail, if Monica will spy on Justus or Jason]. Monica
reluctantly agrees to help Taggert nail Justus, but not Jason. Taggert agrees to
their deal, very happy with himself. Robin stops by after the wedding to say
goodnight to Jason. He asks her to stay over, but she hasn't brought any clothes
with her. He tells her they will worry about it in the morning; Robin decides to
stay. Nikolas arrives home after the wedding. He is worried about the trial and
how he might work against Stefan. Nikolas asks Stefan to let him go away for a
while, until the trial is over. Stefan disagrees. Nikolas tries to explain that
his testimony could hurt Stefan. Stefan tells him that if consequences result
from the truth, then so be it. Stefan tells Nikolas that their lives are here
and that Nikolas isn't responsible for Stefan's current situation, he has only
himself to blame for allowing himself to be vulnerable. He tells Nikolas that he
is the future of their family and that he should do nothing, especially in
Stefan's name, to jeopardize that future. Felicia and Mac return to
retrieve their honeymoon tickets that they had left behind at the restaurant.
Felicia decides she is now Felicia Scorpio-Jones. They get ready to leave, then
Mac asks her for one last dance. Mac asks her if she can hear the music [though
there really isn't and she says yes, she hears it. They dance around the
restaurant and Felicia asks Mac to hold her and never let her go. They continue
dancing and kiss some more. Port Charles July 27, 1998
Port Charles July 28, 1998
July 29th Felicia and Mac don't
seem to be having such a romantic time in Paris; their whole day is turning out
to be crummy claims Felicia. Mac seems to be having some problems speaking the
language. Alexis is trying to prepare for
the trial when Nikolas shows up at her suite. He tells her that he is afraid of
loosing his family, but not if Alexis has anything to do with it. The
reappearance of Laura in his life has given him the family he's never had and
Nikolas doesn't want to loose that. Jason’s tries to feed
Michael, which isn't working out to well. Robin must leave to go and meet Brenda
for a late lunch regarding L&B business. Robin notices Jason has a camera
and asks if he's taken up a new hobby. He's just taking pictures of Michael
every day so Carly can see his progress. Jax starts Brenda at her house.
He shows her a brochure for property in Fiji where he’d like them to
honeymoon. Brenda doesn't seem excited and says she's not sure if she'll be over
her fear of flying by then. No need to worry, Jax has it figured out. Still,
Brenda tells him that things are happening so fast she doesn't know what to say.
Jax wants to know what is really going on. Brenda claims that she has L&B on
her mind - she's scared and not sure if she can handle it. She's not so sure if
she'll be able to go in November and Jax is OK with that. It seems though that
Brenda has something else on her mind that she's not sharing. As Felicia and Mac begin to get
intimate she stops him to talk about the kids. Where will they all live she
asks. Mac says they'll move into his place, it's bigger. She agrees but plans on
redecorating. He's fine with that as long as she leaves Robin's room the way it
is. Then she suggests putting the girls in a room that's not too close to
theirs, especially if they're always going to be like this (romantic). Nikolas vents about Luke, how
he should be the one in jail. Alexis says they don't have proof and anyway,
she's leaning towards Helena. Nikolas doesn't see it though, because it could
have been him up there and Helena wouldn't want him dead. Nikolas tells Alexis
that maybe he should go away but she doesn't think this will help out Stefan at
all. What she wants him to do is keep them all away from Laura for the time
being. Once the trial is over then he can forge any relationship he wants with
his mother. After Nikolas leaves, Alexis makes a call to Ned. As Felicia and Mac are kissing
on the bed, another bride and groom, walk into their room. All are startled and
the groom brings in his luggage. He plans on staying. Jax goes to see Jason about the
docks project; it's moving to slow for him. He'd like to know if there's a
problem but there isn't according to Jason. Justus comes in and Jax offers to
but Jason's ELQ stocks. He makes a nice offer and hands Jason a check; Justus
looks at it and Jason turns it down. Jax asks why, Jason won't say. Robin is at Brenda's, calling
the restaurant to says she'll be late and Brenda comes down the stairs. She's
late as well. Brenda tells her very best friend she thinks she is pregnant.
She's not actually sure because she hasn't taken a test but is scared to find
out. Robin thinks it could be great and Brenda isn't too sure Jax will be
excited. She's also afraid that she'd make a horrible mother. Jax leaves without
his deal but Jason does say the renovations will be in full swing with workers
on the job. After he's gone, Justus rips into Jason for not accepting the offer.
He can't believe what Jason is doing but he's not interested in hearing what his
lawyer has to say. Felicia, Mac and the strange
couple were all booked into this one room and so Mac and Felicia try to convince
them that the room really isn't any good. Within a few minutes they leave but
Felicia realizes that they left thinking they were coming on to them. Ned shows up at Alexis' and
wants to know what he can do. She hates her job, has the most unpopular case
with the most unpopular man in town. She has to represent him and knows that he
didn't kill Katherine. Ned wants to know how she's so sure, unless there is more
to the story. He asks if she knows who killed Katherine. All that Alexis will
say is that she knows Stefan is innocent but he asks how could she unless she
knew who the real killer is. Alexis tells him the dagger was planted because
that is not like Stefan to do that. Seems like Alexis wants to confess but
can't. She does say that she thinks Helena did it, yet she can't prove it right
now. Jason lets Justus know he gave
Sonny his word and Justus tells him he promised him to always be truthful.
Justus believes that with a few breaks Jason can be twice what Sonny was. Jason
doesn't want that though. Justus informs him that he will either get bigger or
he will go down. Jason is not too happy with what he's heard. Robin urges Brenda to go to a
doctor and let Jax in on what she knows. Robin thinks her friend is lucky and
Brenda apologizes for not having thought of Robin's feelings. She’s OK though. Alexis tells Ned to run for his
life. He only came to help and if she wants he will go. As he starts to leave,
Alexis says she's under a lot of pressure but asks him to just stay with her. Mac and Felicia try to decide
where to go but it looks like they're staying bed. Robin goes back to Jason's
and plays with baby Michael. Jax goes back to Brenda's and
she says her and Robin just stayed home. Brenda tells him they have to talk and
he thinks he knows what she has to say. Jax thinks it has to do with L&B and
tells her things will be fine and that their lives are perfect right now. This
comment holds Brenda back from telling her news. **The End** |
