Did you picture yourself with a nomination for Outstanding Younger Actor a year ago?
Jensen Ackles:
I didn't even picture being in California!. . .

Did you expect to win the Soap Opera Award?
Jensen Ackles:
No. People told me I would, but I didn't want to set myself up. Thank you to the fans for all your support!. . .

This is your first soap opera role. How does it compare to the other work in television that you have done?
Jensen Ackles:
Daytime works you a lot harder, but it is a lot of fun. . .

When did you first catch the acting bug?
Jensen Ackles:
When I visited LA two months out of high school. . .

Is Eric going to get together with Nicole?
Jensen Ackles:
Stay tuned! I don't even know the answer to that question! But we do get along very well on and off the set!

What do you think is the most pressure to teens today? How do you think we could fix it?
Jensen Ackles
: The pressure of belonging with society, and not to feel so inclined to do what everybody else does. Be yourself, use your own judgment. . .

How did you get to be on "Days of Our Lives," which incidentally is the best soap opera on television?
Jensen Ackles:
I went on audition after audition out in L.A. I had to screen test with Alison Sweeney and Christie Clark against guys all over the U.S. . .

How do you like having Sami for a sister?
Jensen Ackles:
On the show, she's a handful. Off the show I love her to death!

What is the best part about working on "Days"?
Jensen Ackles:
Being able to meet so many new people (i.e., the fans), and getting to work with such talented actors and actresses. . .

What is it like to work on a show with so many fans?
Jensen Ackles:
It's cool because they are so supportive. Without them, we wouldn't be where we are. . .

Was there a special someone that really encouraged you to pursue acting?
Jensen Ackles:
My manager. He actually came to Texas and found me. He pursued me for two years to come out to L.A!. . .

Do you like to watch yourself on television? Does it make u nervous?
Jensen Ackles:
I do just because it helps. I can see where I'm lacking. I don't usually because I'm not home. But when I can I do.

Is it difficult to keep it together during some scenes?
Jensen Ackles:
Sometimes, when we're laughing hard. When they say action, its hard to bring it down. Especially with Susan!. . .

Jensen Ackles:
I don't know. They won't tell us!!. . .

What advice would you give to your fans that would like to become actors someday ?
Jensen Ackles:
Make sure their heart is really in it, because it's a tough business, and anything can happen.

I heard you are a football fan, so who is your favorite NFL player and why?
Jensen Ackles:
Warrick Dunn from Tampa Bay because he's new, and he's got his head on straight. He's gonna be really big. . .

Do you have any hobbies?
Jensen Ackles:
Playing Nintendo, and playing with my dog.. . .

How are your friends from home reacting to your stardom?
Jensen Ackles:
They like it. They have fun with it. I try to talk to them as much as possible. I don't get to see them very much because they are so far away. . .

Don't you find it hard to memorize your lines in one night or even two, before it is taped
Jensen Ackles:
No because they are such short scenes. But when you get long scenes, and long monologues it becomes difficult.

Do you have a fan club and where can we write to you ?
Jensen Ackles:
Yes I do. NBC.com will post the address later. I don't have it on me!!!. . .

Were you a fan of the show before you joined the cast?
Jensen Ackles:
No. . .I wasn't a big soap opera fan, but I am now!!. . .

Do Susan and Edmund make u laugh when they do their parts?
Jensen Ackles:
Yes, they make me laugh and roll my eyes at the same time!. . .

Jensen Ackles:
A radio, my dog, and a tent!

Yes. . .

Are you nervous for the Emmys?

Very much so. I was really nervous for the Soap Opera Awards, I can't even imagine what the Emmys will be like!. . .

Jensen Ackles:
Roman, Roman, Roman!! Alright, maybe John.

Is it hard to go out in public or doesn't anyone really recognize you much?
Jensen Ackles:
I get recognized every now and then, which is nice, but not so bad that I can't go out. . .

Stefano is my favorite character because he has so much power!. . .

What have some of your fans done to express their admiration?
Jensen Ackles:
They have sent me little stuffed animals, invitations to proms. I never know what I'm going to get next!. . .

In real life, how different are you from your character?
Jensen Ackles:
I'm not such a jerk! I'm a little nicer. I don't keep my feelings bottled up as much as Eric does. . .

"The Fugitive" That's the first that comes to mind. . .

So many! Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, John Malchovich. I’d love to work with Meg Ryan. . .

Did you ever want to be anything else other than an actor? If so what?

I wanted to be a personal trainer for a professional football team. . .

I don't know, I'm going to see if I can work it out next year. Schedule permitting. . .

Once every other month, maybe. . .at different locations. . .

Do you hope to eventually go on to acting in films or some other aspect of the business, such as directing, or are you planning to stay with television and soaps for a while?

I'd like to go on to film acting. . .

You've said before that you enjoy working with Deidre Hall. What have you learned from a lady who has such an established following in the business??
Jensen Ackles:
I've learned many technical aspects of acting, such as lighting and camera work., and I've also learned how to handle fame and fans. . .

What was the greatest bit of advice you received from your father (as an actor) when you decided to move to LA?
Jensen Ackles:
He told me to stay grounded. If I get the part, I get it. If I don’t, I don’t. It’s so big deal, there will always be something else. . .

Coping with the fact that I don't have my family or friends with me anymore. . .
